Chapter 6

Eight and a half hours have passed. And Zena and Eda have been trying to keep Lilith comfortable. Right now Lilith is leaning against Eda. She is going through another contraction. Lilith's water broke a few hours ago. Which is helping things along. Eda hates seeing Lilith in so much pain. Soon Lilith's contraction subsided and let got of Eda. Zena noticed Lilith's belly and said "Lilith lay down and I'll check on you." Zena and Eda had put some old blankets and pillows on the floor. Lilith laid down and Zena checked on Lilith.

"Might as well stay laying down Lilith. Because after your next contraction. You'll be ready to push." suggested Zena

Lilith nodded and rolled over to her side. To her it is more comfortable than her back. Ten minutes later Lilith has just gone through another contraction. Zena had Lilith roll back onto her back. Then she checked on Lilith and said "It's time to push." Lilith took in a deep breath, held it, and pushed. She kept going and would take breaks. She did this until Zena said "Ok Lilith stop." By now the baby's head is out. Zena cleaned out the baby's mouth and nose. Then Zena said "Go ahead Lilith." Lilith nodded and took a deep breath and pushed. She kept going and took breaks when she need it. Soon the baby is half way out and Lilith needed a break.

"You're doing great Lilith." stated Zena

"Yeah you got this Lilly." assured Eda

"Ok Lilith one more push and the baby will be out." informed Zena

Lilith nodded and took a deep breath and pushed. The rest of the baby came out just as Lilith let out her breath. Zena grabbed the baby and laid her on Lilith's belly. Lilith smiled and said "Hi baby girl." Zena looked at Eda and asked "Would you like to cut the cord?" Eda nodded and replied "I would be honored." The witch cut the cord and Zena handed her a towel.

"Please take her over there and clean her up." instructed Zena

Eda put the towel on the baby and picked her up. She went over to the old towels they put down for the babies. Then she used the towel to dry off and clean off the baby.

"This one has brown hair and six fingers on each hand." informed Eda

Lilith smiled and said "Just like her father." Zena went over and cut off the rest of the cord. She looked over the baby and said "She is very healthy." Lilith smiled again and said "That's good to hear." Ten minutes later and Lilith is getting unconformable. Then she took a breath in, held it, and pushed. She kept going and would take breaks. Until Zena told her to stop. The baby's head is out so Zena. Cleaned out the baby's mouth and nose. When she was done Zena said "Go ahead Lilith." Lilith started pushing again. She kept going until the baby is halfway out. Tired Lilith is taking a break.

"I'm ... getting tired." stated Lilith

"One more big push and she's out." informed Zena

"You got this Lilly you can do it." coaxed Eda

Feeling energized by Zena and Eda. Lilith took in a deep breath, held it, and pushed. The rest of the baby came out. Just as Lilith let out her breath. Zena noticed that a lot of blood came out with the baby. She grabbed the baby and placed her on Lilith's belly. Zena grabbed a towel and noticed. That Lilith is paler than usual and her eyes are glazed over.

"Eda I need you to cut the cord. And take the baby over with her sister." ordered Zena

"Sure what's wrong?" asked Eda

"Please just do it." stated Zena

Eda nodded, cut the cord, got the towel, and picked up the baby. She went over where she left the other baby. The witch dried and cleaned off the baby. She looked over and at Lilith and saw a lot of blood. Then she saw Zena using her magic.

"Lilly!" yelled Eda

"Don't worry Eda I know what I'm doing. Please stay with the babies." assured Zena

Eda stayed where she is and watched Zena. She doesn't like how pale Lilith is. And the fact that her eyes are closed. Eda looked at the twins then back at Lilith. Then she said to herself "Oh Titan please let Lilly be ok." A few minutes pass and Zena is still working.

"Come on Lilly please be ok. You have so much to live for. There's me, Luz, King, Mom, Dad, and your daughters." pleaded Eda to herself

Just then Zena said "There I got the bleeding to stop." Eda sighed and asked "What happened?"

"She hemorrhaged but I stopped the bleeding. Don't worry she should be ok." informed Zena

Zena got more towels and cleaned up. Then she stood and went over to Eda. She finished cutting the cord on the second baby.

"This on has auburn hair and she too has six fingers on each hand." informed Zena

Zena wrapped one baby in a blue blanket and the other one in a purple blanket. Then she went back over to Lilith. Eda looked over at Lilith and noticed that she's looking better. Soon Lilith passed the after birth. Eda went over to her sister and put a hand on Lilith's cheek.

"Oh Lilly I've been so worried about you. Especially as you got farther into pregnancy. Now I'm ever more worried about you. But I'm that you'll be ok." fussed Eda

"Lilith will be ok. And her twins are just fine." assured Zena

Just then Lilith's eyes opened and she's looking at Eda smiled and said "Hey Lilly." Lilith leaned into Eda's hand and said "Hi Eda."

"How are you feeling Lilly?" asked Eda

"I'm a bit weak and tired. But I'm ok." replied Lilith

Zena finished cleaning up then checked on Lilith. Then she said "Her blood pressure is going back up. She'll be fine." Eda nodded and said "Thank you so much Zena." Zena smiled and said "You're welcome get a hold of me. If you need anything else." With that said Zena left the house.
