I do own this season, but I do not own Power Rangers as a whole.
Maya and her friends made it near class. She had to park her car in a parking lot area closest to the dojo. However, they still needed to walk a half-mile through an enchanted forest to reach the area outside the building where students train.
Max took the lead with DJ and Maya closely behind him. As they walked, Maya and Max noticed the look on DJ's face. Normally it would be expressionless in times like these, implying that he may be bored. However, his expression looked a lot more like someone who was both annoyed and sort of depressed.
They continued walking through the forest as Max spoke up. "Hey DJ, you alright?"
DJ snapped from his trance and looked up at his friend. "Huh? Oh, yeah I am alright."
"Are you sure? You look kind of depressed."
"I said I am fine!" DJ revolted but then caught himself as he realized he was losing his cool.
Max was not stunned at all at DJ's brief outburst. For the past decade, he had seen DJ break down a few times, and who could blame him? DJ never had a easy life, despite the fact that his father did make a lot of money. Just the guilt of losing his mother was too much for him to bear, and he would sometimes use unorthodox methods to combat that pain, which for the most point, Max didn't approve of.
"You know, DJ, I'm here. If you need anything, I will always be here."
DJ looked up at his best friend and gave him a brief smile, but just then, a rumbling noise was heard, stopping the three teens in their tracks.
"What is going on?" Maya asked confusingly.
"I don't know," Max replied. "Guys, stick together. We do not know what is coming."
Maya and DJ nodded their heads as they all gathered in a circle, with their backs against each other. They all wondered where that noise was coming from as it became loud and louder.
Suddenly it happened, they spotted an army of students their ages charging at them. They were all wearing red, yellow, and blue karate uniforms. The three put on their fighting stances as they realized this was yet another training session Sensei set up for them.
"Alright, split up and deal with these guys!" Max barked.
"Got it!" DJ and Maya replied in unison. In a flash, they revealed their uniforms that were hidden underneath their clothes. They split up to battle with the other students.
Max led the Red students somewhere near the center of the forest. He dodged a chop from one student before hurling him back. Another student tried to dropkick him but Max jumped and tried to perform a backflip in midair. Bad idea. Because that just resulted in him landed facefirst in some mud..
The Red students all laughed as Max lifted his head above the mud, his face red from anger and embarrassment underneath the gunk. He then looked and caught a glimpse of a middle-aged Asian bald man wearing a beige robe, staring at him with disappointment in his eyes.
Max bowed his head down in shame. Sorry, Sensei.
DJ fought with numerous Blue students as they all climbed the trees and battled on the thick branches.
After dodging numerous punches from one student, DJ did a "super jump" that his Sensei had instructed a little over a week ago. If only DJ knew where he was standing before he jumped because after he jumped a few feet up, he felt a hard branch strike him in the head. He fell several feet hitting some branches, which thankfully somewhat broke his fall, but he still landed in a lake.
The blue student laughed as he lifted his head above the water. He realized someone was standing in front of him at the bank. He looked up in awe as he saw his Sensei looking at him with his arms crossed, shaking his head.
DJ bowed his head down in shame. Sorry, Sensei.
Meanwhile, Maya fought the Yellow students at a nearby beach. She managed to kick one student off her feet and drop-kicked one student. She backed up a bit and put on her fighting stance as many students decided to gang up on her.
She smirked as she shouted. "Oh, you guys want some more, well watch your feet." She spoke as she decided to use a move where she struck the ground hard enough to where dirt or dust would erupt from the ground at a distance.
Maya prepared herself before kneeling and striking the sand with her fist. However, it backfires. Instead of having dust explode beneath the other students, dust erupted right where she struck it. A lump of sand was launched in Maya's face and she screamed.
"Ah! It's in my eyes!"
The Yellow students laughed as Maya tried desperately to get the sand out of her eyes. Once she managed to regain her eyesight again, a figure was standing in front of her, and he did not look pleased.
"Oh, sensei, I..." Maya was then cut off.
"Save it. I want no excuses." Uni said firmly. "I want you, Dean-Jamal, and Maxwell to meet me inside the building now." He saw before exploding into thin air, his way of teleportation.
Max, DJ, and Maya were sitting inside one of the organization rooms in the dojo. DJ was still mildly wet, Max managed to get some of the mud off, but there were still traces on his uniform and face, and Maya's uniform was still somewhat dusty. They all sat cross-legged on the patterned floor as Uni paced around them.
"I have to go to say, I am very disappointed in you three," he berated angrily. "First, you show up late, and second, you seem to lack the skills that I have enforced upon you for nearly two years now."
"You tell them, Dad!" Another girl's voice was heard from the side of the dojo. DJ looked over and glared at Uni's daughter Ellie. Ellie went to the same high school as the three but always seemed to get on DJ's nerves. She was the one to talk, as she obviously never trained a day in her life. She always wore a ponytail, a pink tank top, and jean shorts with blue flip-flops. She leaned against the wall and giggled.
"Quiet, Ellie!" Uni berated before focusing his attention back on Max and his friends. "I want to see progress. You can waste my training equipment, but never waste my time! If I don't see any improvements, I will have no choice but to expel all three of you.
The three teenagers snapped their heads towards Uni. Was he being serious?
"Sensei, you...you mean it?" DJ tried to reassure with worry in his voice.
"Yes, I never joke around," Uni spoke firmly, crossing his arms. "Now be gone and return the next day. If you show up late, there will be hefty consequences. Do I make myself clear?"
Their gazes fell as they all answered in unison. "Yes, Sensei..."
Ellie walked over and spoke with a smirk on her face. "Are you sure you are willing to give them yet ANOTHER chance?"
DJ stood up defiantly and balled his fists. "Are you sure you want to run your mouth, midget girl?"
Ellie scoffed. "Weak."
"Crybaby," DJ replied.
Ellie glared. "Loser."
"Poser."
"Bug-eyed."
"Daddy's girl."
"Enough!" Uni roared, slamming his cane onto the ground. "You three, leave immediately!" He then glared at his daughter. "Young lady, to your room NOW!"
Ellie growled as she towards the exit, but not before giving DJ one last glare, which he gladly returned with the same intensity.
As the three students left, Uni suddenly sensed that something was wrong. Soon, he walked down to the dark, secretive room, which consisted of nothing but a dark, enchanted box. It held five of the most powerful gems in the universe. It harnessed incredible karate power beyond anything a man could reach.
Uni knelt and used the key around his neck to open the box. He gasped as he realized there were only three gems: blue, red, and yellow.
The question was: where did the white and green gems go?
Uni whispered in pure fear and disdain. "Master Po...so you have returned." The name almost made his stomach lurch. Of course, it could have been him. The box was sealed and made up of universal steel. Nobody could destroy it manually, other than...him.
In his chamber, the Power Humanitor...known as Po, sat cross-legged on his throne. His pupil-less eyes examine the two bright gems he held in his stone hands.
"It's time." He spoke to himself before chuckling menacingly.
