Chapter 9: "The Pathetic Warrior who experienced the Secret Beauty of the World"

=NO POV=

Unsun Sashitari managed to get some information from the War veterans. Thanks to that familiar sign, he found a website and decoded some secret footage that were left hidden. Now that he can access their secrets, he shared them to his team, who were hoping to find answers related to Wars and that mastermind.

Turns out that all they got were videos of the past nine months that were consistenly, showing their failed achievements of their mission. One time, there was a picture about seven people on the round table along with the sleepy warrior beside them. They learned those guys were the War Veterans who tried to make a deal with them.

Another useful thing is that Unsun Sashitari saw a video collection about the Archipelago Island and what they do.

They find a footage where the Rat Warrior was accompanied by the referee of the Zodiac War, the mysterious and unpredictable judge who was known as the Wishmaker. They were walking inside the entrance of the Archipelago Island, where the War Criminals are held captive.

The next camera footage shows that the Wishmaker was nowhere to be found and the young man Nezumi keeps walking around until he stopped in the laboratory area and the video suddenly corrupts.

There was no continuation and the team wanted to find more but Unsun Sashitari realized this was the last video they made.

"So.. the Rat Warrior has an alibi. There's no denying he's working for the organisation. You knew this already and you didn't tell it to us, Friendsheep?" Unsun Sashitari mocked her, which gave her a flinch when everyone turned their eyes on her.

"I... A little bit. I've watched his actions and I can tell he's forgetting them. Every time those shadow warriors appear, he'll collapse and I can tell it's not a coincidence. Even if I force him to ask, he won't answer." She answered the same thing, hoping her observations would come in hand.

"Yet, you went on your own without informing us. Tell me, are you on his side?" Unsun Sashitari asked. Those two give an intense staring contest for a minute until Sir Cancer stopped their argument and pat the white haired lady's shoulders.

"There's no need for conflict. I gave her that mission. I allow Friendsheep to watch the twelfth champion and find out if he does anything trouble. We'll never know if he's getting in touch with the organisation or the War Veterans. One thing we know is that, he is the reason the Mastermind starts moving."

"His existence made the Mastermind going wild enough to use their shadow abilities and kill us, It would be better for Friendsheep to watch over him until we get all our clues and eliminate him when he's not necessary."

"So we just need to use him as a bait then. How interesting." Dandylion grinned, thinking about their mission going well.

"Until then my fellow comrades, proceed with our plan." Sir Cancer ordered them to stay low and follow their rules and they agreed without compliant.

=RAT/NEZUMI POV=

Every time class was finished, I was expecting to leave the school and go home peacefully. But not anymore, there was one problem that ruins my usual moment and it was none other than,

Sherry Meland-san, or should I say, the transfer elegant and a liar student.

Ever since she transferred to the same class, she always observes me, trying to join this friendly circle and going home with me, despite the fact we live on different routes. I tried to stop her, shoo her away from my life and even when we're alone, she won't stop and it's driving me crazy. I might consider her a stalker if she keeps this up.

Anyways, Meland followed me again and she gave me a look of "Do something trouble and I will stop you" expression and I don't understand why she's gotten cautious around me. What did I do this time? Before I could think of her reason, I completely forgot I'm walking randomly and we ended up in the back alley. A quiet place where no bad things will show up at sunset, right?

Wrong. Behind us, we heard a group of adults wearing funky clothes approached us. There were many of them and they happened to gang us but Meland wasn't scared of them despite them trying to swear and fear us. As plain and composed as she is, this elegant woman stops her observant showcase at me and she turns towards those gangsters. The moment when one of the gangs attempted to charge at her, Meland raised her hand and tried to call something.

Before she made her move, I grabbed her hand and ran away from the gang. Luckily, I used my Hundredth paths ability and found a hundred ways to leave this situation. The route I considered choosing was the safest road where we end up near the convenience store. When I chose that fate and took a break, I released Meland's hand, who turned away without thanking me. Not like I ever expect gratitude from a stalking lady.

"Okay seriously transfer student, will you stop following me again?" I asked, feeling a bit frustrated. "I'm getting tired of being watched by a girl."

"I wasn't watching. We merely pass by, that's all" Meland answered. I knew she would say that again and it's making me tired to hear the same nonsense answer again.

"This lady… what is her deal?" I made a facepalm in my head, feeling tired to go through the same route over and over again.

"Excuse me? Do you two happen to know where a nearby store for water? I'm in a hurry." It came behind us and when we checked that person, I was speechless and wondered if this was a guy or a woman. It also made it clear that Meland knows them, showing their surprised look.

"Iron ma-" Meland called their name but paused a bit before she cleared her throat and continued, "I mean, Andy-san. Are you lost?"

"I usually don't go out all the time and I'm hoping you could find somewhere closer. I'm a bit thirsty right now." The blonde haired man with pig tails said as he crossed his arms. He wasn't looking at me but somehow, I can feel he has one of those vicious eyes and bloodlust from the moment he noticed I was hanging out with Meland. The white haired lady wanted to help her friend as she pointed out.

"In that case, there's a-"

*Stomach growl noise*

That noise got interrupt her directions as we heard it's coming among us. I'm pretty sure it's not from Meland and that stranger but their eyes are on me, which leads us to the fact.

"Didn't expect you're hungry young man" Andy chuckled a bit before I rubbed my head and looked away, avoiding my embarrassed look. When I turned right, I saw a good looking restaurant close by. This is a good opportunity to change this embarrassing moment.

"Aanoo.. If you're thirsty that much, perhaps I can take you to that restaurant? Maybe there's a drink over there."

"I think it's a good idea. Let's go then."They said as they snapped their fingers and agreed my recommendations. I heard Meland chuckled a bit and I ignored her. The road to that restaurant crossed with street lights instead of passing by alley ways.

The restaurant is quite dark inside but what Meland and I didn't know is the fact we're going inside the club called "Encore Cozy Club". It's a restaurant bar place where mostly Okamas serve there in twenty four hours open every day. This was supposed to be a place for adults, not inviting teens inside. And yet, we accidentally arrived inside this cozy area.

I wanted to ditch Meland and leave this place but Andy-san pushed us inside where those boys wearing silly clothes were waiting. I got chills and felt disgusted whenever they stared and winked at me. Meland dropped her sweat when they saw those men wearing maid costumes. She wasn't feeling comfortable to check inside but there was no choice, her friend Andy was already taking their order.

I observed the bartender staff, who serve food and drinks to their customers. He was a big and scary looking guy who spoke few words. He doesn't seem to like talking or flirting someone but the moment Andy asked his service, he started to point at me and said,

"Old man, this kid is hungry. If there's something edible for a teen, would that be enough?"

The bartender stares at me as if his eyes gave me a look that he wants to hunt me down but when he heard another growling noise from my stomach, he nodded silently. He turned his back and cook some main dishes for his customer.

While waiting, I looked around and saw Meland talking to Andy who was holding his drink. They look like they were discussing about something important. It must be their personal business. I turned away and checked the bartender and their chef behind their kitchen, paying no heed to those two behind. In fact, it's better not to dwell their business when I'm around.

=NO POV=

Inside the Encore Cozy Club,

"So, why didn't you interrogate him?" Aaron asked as he drank his water.

"Sir Cancer told us not to kill anyone that includes him." Friendsheep answered directly. They were talking on an empty table, far away where Nezumi couldn't hear.

"And yet, did you investigate him well? Is he our enemy? Or Ally?"

"I don't know. For now, let's stay low and wait. I bet this lazy scumbag warrior will be ignorant until we know his secrets." Friendsheep said with a disappointed tone. She noticed Iron May wouldn't buy her answers as she crossed her arms with his sharp pitiful eyes. "Alright, I'll tell you everything I know. So please, don't look at me like that."

Friendsheep gives up and explained her plan. At first, she wanted Nezumi dead and killed him from quiet places but after slowly remembering the times inside the archipelago island with him, she wanted to ask him and let him confess his actions.

The War Criminal Aries finally admits that she's not the only one who freed them. There's a chance this Rat Warrior could save them in the end because she remembers he's the one pulling her abilities to make them sleep. In other words, Nezumi is likely the enigma interfering with the system and helping them escape from the virtual world. But even if he did good deeds, there's a chance he'll use them and betray them in the end.

Friendsheep wanted to prove whether he's one of the mastermind's allies and yet, when she finally meets him, Nezumi completely forgets about them, nor caring the fact he did something from that archipelago island.

"I see, it makes sense you wanted to meet him so badly." Iron May agrees as he finishes his last drink.

"Now that you know, do you plan to tell them? Go on, I can bear to feel like a suspect again." Friendsheep said.

"Fifty percent. Not sure if he's definitely the one pulling the strings. I mean, look at him, he's so weak that even you and I can take him down. Why do you think he freed us from that prison that even no criminals have done in history?"

"I don't know, maybe it's just luck. It could be-"

"Hey! What do you mean this was the last one?! Is this really your drink service?! Are you kidding me?!" Someone shouted behind them. Friendsheep and Iron May took a look and saw a drunk customer complaining to a staff. "I paid for this and your food tastes terrible! What is wrong with your business?! I need a refund!"

Their discussion interrupts back when they hear a banging noise coming from the bar table. The drunk customer has gotten wild as they dropped glasses of wine to the ground.

"And this-" Then, the customer grabbed the glass and glared at the scaredy staff about their service and he even kicked the table. "Is just another garbage, you'll barfed if you dare to eat them!"

The time when Nezumi received a plate of jacket potato, the drunk customer grabbed the food and smashed it to pieces, laughing at the young boy's stunned reaction.

"My food..." Nezumi stared at the broken plate in silence. It wasn't that Nezumi was irritated about that guy's behaviour, the Big bartender was cracking his knuckles, ready to beat that crazy customer.

However, the moment stopped when Iron May grabbed the drunk Customer and punched his face on his cheek.

"Hey, somebody needs to take out the trash." The blonde warrior said in his deep tone. He punched the customer and sent him through the wall.

Ouch! What was that for?!" Before the angry customer complains more, Iron May kicks his stomach three times and stomp him when they fall down. They didn't show him mercy in front of the public.

"Oh, you didn't hear me? I meant to take out the trash in front of me. I almost forgot that a drunkard Trash doesn't have ears." He grabbed his collar while the struggling Drunk man spit something in their clothes.

"You're saying I'm a trash?! How dare you speak that way, you little piece of-"

Iron May immediately threw him outside then, landing the customer in the open dumpster trash bin. He didn't turn back as he closed the door and left them outside. "Into the trash you go!"

Once the blonde warrior went inside, every staff and customer went speechless. They stared at Iron May and wondered how reckless and brave he was for serving that customer.

"..." Nezumi couldn't believe what he just witnessed. He scratched his head and turned away from him, hoping he wouldn't get involved in that trouble. "Well, that was something."

Iron looks around this place again and everyone wonders what he's thinking next. He broke the silent atmosphere and stood above the table to give everyone's attention. "Now that the trash is gone, anyone complain?"

Everyone shook their heads and Andy smirked back. "Perfect, this place should be safe for everyone to eat and drink, not speaking useless facts." He pointed at the worker, who were terrified of him. "You staff should serve your guest well, not acting like slaves and listen to those drunken fools." He pointed to the Bartender and declared, "You Bartender, you're supposed to be manly enough to take in charge here, not acting like a tough sheep pretending to ignore those troubles. If you were the boss here, you should've act tough to remove those bastards out of your club!"

Nezumi expect the Bartender to be upset but the man just looked down and didn't said a word. Iron May stepped on a table, drawing everyone's attention as he pointed the ceiling and declaring himself, "Seeing your poor service makes me frustrated so much. From here on out, I'll be in charge and improve this club and their service! Starting today, I'm your boss!"

The staff workers were stunned of Iron May's proposal. They couldn't complain since their current manager gave them a nod to listen back. Iron May folded his arms and smirked back. "Your boss should do what it's best to make this place better than ever! Starting now, you workers must serve your customers and listen to my orders. I promise this club will be good when I take in charge."

=RAT/NEZUMI POV=

The Next Day,

When sunset came by, I was going to head out home as usual but, all my mind was thinking about that guy in the maid costume beating people and the fact I recently saw that live video of that scene on internet yesterday made me curious more. I was wondering what on earth will happen to that club room after that viral video.

Of course, I don't need to turn around since I know that White Stalker Meland will follow me again. When we checked that club again, it was the moment Meland and I weren't expecting to see the changes of both the arrangement and their people.

For some reason, the staff were wearing fancy and formal clothes that fits with the colors of the club. The tables and chairs were perfectly symmetric and well-arranged. The menus placed a good advertisement poster.

The Bartender is still the same but he wore sunglasses that made him cool. When I observed this place, I find their customer service has improved well. Most of the okama staff may be flirty and cheerful but their eyes looked determine to take their job seriously.

The customers are also enjoying their time with them, entertaining the fact their staff can bring good conversations and joke to cheer them up, showing their ways to bring hospitality. Their food and drink service are also wonderful thanks to Andy who trained and provided new recipe.

When Andy spot us, he greet us with a formal tone, acting like a butler. I was speechless to see how this person can change the Encore Cozy club for one day. They seem to be delighted to see us again.

That attitude felt like he was expecting praises from us. I scratched my head and thought of a normal way to praise him.

"What do you think?" He crossed his arms with his smirk. That attitude felt like he was expecting praises from us. I scratched my head and thought of a normal way to praise him.

"It was good. I think the people working here are stronger than before" I answered honestly, which Andy approves with a nod.

"I agree. Seems this Encore club place was doing perfectly well with their service. Is this your doing?" Meland said.

Andy nods back in reply. His expression can easily tell his service got his expectations right. But that doesn't stop him as he pointed to the staff and praised them.

"Not just me. Everyone agreed that I would take charge and lead the maintenance. The service hasn't changed but I gave them new rules to make them tougher and stronger to feel alive." He clenched his fist and smiled at his co-workers. "I gotta admit. It was fun to raise this club a bit."

Andy turned his head to Nezumi and added, "Of course, if it wasn't for you young man, those people wouldn't be able to change. They wanted to thank you for showing this place."

Me? Just what did I do to bring them here? I wasn't trying to change them nor getting gratitude. Perhaps that yesterday's mess starting to pity this service store before. No, maybe it might be something to do with the old times.

"Also, I accept you as a customer in this service club, not your past." Andy added, which gave me another confusion in my mind.

As much as I questioned my past, I seem to forgot that Meland is still following me with her eyes saying "she doesn't accept being a friend" or something like that and yet, she's minding my own business all the time. Since those two knew each other, I wonder if they related to the time I don't remember that nine months ago?

Seriously, do I need to know my past so badly? I think I'll forget them and sleep. There's no point to know yourself since you can't change your past and present. In fact, it's better not to dwell their business when I'm around.

At the New-Villa Hotel,

What happens next desires the next course of action. As everyone said, desperate times come from desperate measures. When Friendsheep kept observing the Rat Warrior and couldn't find any clues to his motives, she decided to play dirty and called one of her trusted companions at the hotel.

"You want me to create a Love potion?" The doctor of the War Criminal rephrased as Friendsheep nods back. She sighed and made a facepalm, "Do you have any idea how long it takes to create a better one and make tests? He could probably die, you know?"

"I know it's impossible but we can find-" Friendsheep said but was interrupted by the Doctor again.

"You forgot Sir Cancer ordered us not to kill him but finding the truth, huh? Maybe, I can make a Truth potion that can force everyone to express and tell the truth. How's that?"

"Excellent! I'll get my homemade ready!" Friendsheep sparkled her eyes as she agreed to her terms. That's it, forcing the Rat warrior to spill the truth is better. With this problem, she doesn't want to worry about getting useless as a scout.

Friendsheep was delighted to know her plan is going well. When Dr. Finnish saw her excitement going up, she added an info and decided to share it to her,

"Now that I think about it, I saw Gotou making a deal with the Rat boy last time and they hang out today."

Hearing that info made her shocked as if her mind was confused if that's true, her happy mood turned back to thrill as she listened to her companion, "Don't get the wrong idea, she wasn't planning to steal your spot. It was a coincidence that another ticket went with her, despite being a stranger to your classmate. It seems your choice for rejecting that invitation went well in the end."

Friendsheep tried to puzzle what she told her and then, her mind popped up as she remembered yesterday. That's right, the time when the class finally ended, the class rep, Aiko invited Nezumi and Friendsheep with the use of Sherry Meland's name, to see the stars at the Planetarium. She gave three tickets to Nezumi, who reluctantly accepts them and they're planning to meet at the Department store.

However, Meland rejected her offer, saying that she has other plans to attend to. Those students didn't know but Meland doesn't want her class rep classmate to get involved if there are Shadow warriors hunting them. As much as she wants to go and observe the Rat warrior, she prefers to stay out of touch and protect innocent bystanders.

Rejecting the invitation wasn't expected for her to see different results and thinking about it, it makes her believe she has been replaced by Gotou Heaven the War Criminal of Capricorn. Her mind was also troubled by the fact that her target was taking Gotou to the Planetarium. She can't stop thinking about them and it upsets her.

"If it's true, then Doctor you must go and watch over them! We don't know if Gotou will accidentally use her powers on him." Friendsheep said, giving a reason to go out there but, Doctor Finnish let out a sigh and rejected her suggestions.

"Don't be ridiculous, I'm busy with the Truth serum." The Doctor warrior stared at her liquid experiments and continued. "You may not worry Friendsheep, Dandylion was already there. I'm sure they're fine."

That's right, Dandylion must be there. Friendsheep was sure he loved going there. If he could watch over those two, maybe everything will be fine. Friendsheep held her hands on her chest and prayed, "I hope so."

=RAT/NEZUMI POV=

Yesterday,

Is this some sort of Deja Vu?

I wasn't expecting the same scenario whenever I go outside. I was on my way to the grocery store to find some goods for my next lunch but suddenly, I wasn't aware a group of cats were chasing after me. Again. As much as I wanted to shoo them away, they seemed to be aggressive and stepped up as they hissed at me angrily.

I got surrounded by wild cats and I tried to use my Hundredth paths ability to get away. I know it would've been exhausting but getting bit by those ferocious beasts is not good for me. Before I used it, I noticed someone was coming on the way.

A girl riding on a wheelchair, turns her wheel as she finds me and the cats on the street. She was Gotou, the weird looking girl that I accidentally broke her wheelchair. She gave me a pathetic look that tells me how I couldn't handle this easy task. I twitched my eyes, thinking it's nonsense to look down on me when I'm surrounded by cats with rabies.

All of the cats charged at me and Gotou rolled her wheelchair and glared at them. Her menacing aura shivered the cat's furs and stopped as they started to fear the pitiful lady. The cats ran away, leaving me in speechless. Before I thanked her, Gotou raised her hand and shook her head, and then, giving me a pitiful look to those who underestimate him.

"You sure are weak. Useless, Pathetic and a puny little man who can't fight against stray cats! How worthless are you? You no good Scumbag Brat." Gotou muttered. Her face tells me she doesn't need gratitude.

"Sure, whatever." I looked away, not bothered by her words. I rubbed my head and wondered something from my mind. "As much as I wanted to thank you, I believe you came here for a reason, Gotou nee-san."

Gotou heard me as she nods back and replied, "I admit, you're pretty clever for a Rodent." She glanced at the person behind her, making me realized we're not alone. There was another person, wearing elegant clothes, who handles Gotou's wheelchair. I want to talk to them but it seems Gotou is in a good mood to chat with me. "Let's skip to the chase, shall we? My service wasn't finished. You owe me for fixing my wheelchair. I want a second field trip day."

Excuse me, what? I dropped my sweat and thought this lady was messing with me. I turned away from her and tried to reject her. "You're kidding me. I'm so busy right now and I-"

Before I continued, there was a sense of intense bloodlust I'm feeling that made my mind immediately stop with my rejection. It's like someone was controlling my fear emotion that gave me a fright. If this was my theory, I believe that the person behind Gotou could be holding that secret bloodlust that I felt. If I won't please Gotou nee-san, I have a feeling I won't survive in this intense silent battle. I was expecting to get killed if I finished that line, right?

This is just great, another invitation from this Wheelchair lady. This time, she brought a fellow caretaker but a strict judge, desiring to kill me in silence. Even if I used my Hundredth paths, I can imagine she'll be super pissed to hear my rejection. There's no other choice, I have to do this again.

"Alright, as you wish" I accepted her deal and decided to take her to another attraction place. Her friend is pushing and goes along with us and it may not fair to reject them. After all, they save me from those stray cats.

Speaking of that, I remember Aiko gave me three tickets for the Planetarium trip and I wonder if bringing those two will be allowed. Heck, that transfer student wouldn't want to join this free opportunity to experience some tranquil event at weekend. Maybe I could use this. I led them to the Planetarium and stopped at the place where Aiko and I would meet up. She was supposed to bring someone over and I hope I can at least try to convince her.

Fortunately, she gave me a call, saying she can't attend along with her friends because they were having a busy meeting or something. So, she allows me to use those tickets and I take it. Looks like Luck is on my side, after all.

As we went inside the dark room, three tickets with their seat numbers were three steps above. It's another problem because Gotou right now is sitting in a wheelchair and there's no reservation for the disability. This turns out worse than I expected.

[Hundredth Paths of Nezumi]

I used my ability and worked on those hundred strategies to make sure this pessimistic looking lady would get there. There were five minutes left before the show starts and it's now or never.

Inside the Planetarium,

Dandylion wasn't expecting to see those three inside the Star Gazing Event. All he wanted is to relax and watch the stars alone but as he sat on the top seat, he raised his eyebrows and saw that Rat Warrior Nezumi were walking on the stairs and carried Gotou the War Criminal Of Capricorn in bridal style.

Even his companions doesn't aware that he's here, Dandylion has no attempt to notice them as he observe them quietly. He heard that Gotou muttered that sounded like she's not in a mood and behind her, Baron Sue was following them and taking no action. What's up with her? Is she going to let their target carries their companion?

"We're almost there, just close your eyes until we get there." Nezumi encourages Gotou, who kept holding his shoulder tightly. In dark, Dandylion can see his disabled companion looks frightened when she's not on her wheelchair.

"Hhhmmm.." Gotou was really scared when Nezumi steps one foot to the top. There was a time that they almost lost balance and she freaked out.

Dandylion almost got a heart attack when he saw she was going to activate her ability, Mine bombs. If Gotou ever snaps out, her bombing ability would summon directly and everyone inside the Planetarium would get blown up.

Luckily, Nezumi was too quick thinking as he steps his foot and make sure they won't fall into the ground. In fact, Dandylion assumes the Rat warrior doesn't want Gotou to touch her foot on the floor while carrying her. That sounds like a hassle but in the end, the Rat warrior released her to the top seat where her feet won't stomp.

Gotou opened her eyes and took a deep breathe, knowing that it's safe as she finally relaxed. Baron Sue sat beside her and placed her wheelchair down while Nezumi sat on the right side. They haven't noticed Dandylion, which is good by the way. If it wasn't for this silver haired teen to be careful, none of the audience would survive this sudden territory bomb attack by the disabled lady.

Even then, he was unsettled of staying in this quiet place when he realized one nervous lady could get them trouble. His worries went over when he glanced at the Dome and saw countless stars, shining around the galaxy.

The event staff reported the details of the stars immersing in every galaxy, outside the planets where constellations showed up on the next screen. Gotou Heaven sparkled her eyes when they mentioned the Capricorn stars and revealed their picture in the Dome. At that clear view, she was amazed at the constellation exists that many people discovered how beauty this star looks.

"I'm glad I went this place. Seeing those stars forgets my health problems for some reason." Gotou admitted from her mind as her eyes kept watching at the bright stars.

Gazing those stars in this show is a wonderful experience to Dandylion. He always love studying stars and watching their glorious bright lights around the moonlight. He eventually forgets his unease feeling and paying no mind to those three familiar people as he listened to today's astronomy shows.

On the other hand, Baron Sue took a glance on the right and saw Nezumi falling asleep during the program. She was sure he brought them here to this astronomy event and she thought he would be interesting in stars but no, he was genuinely sleeping peacefully, not caring those wonderful views above him.

Little do they know that Gotou secretly picks Nezumi's scarf and place them back to his face, covering his neck and treated it as blankets. She doesn't want him to get cold, so it's necessary to watch over your health sometimes.

Outside,

Seeing how this pitiful lady was not satisfied, I decided to take her to the VR Station Booth right at the Planetarium Observatory. Gotou and Baron Sue have never tried Virtual Reality games before. So, it's a good opportunity to let them try. As the staff member adjusts their VR headsets in our heads, Gotou volunteer to make her first try and the staff choose the Underwater Exploration and immersing her inside.

The first thing she saw was pure darkness, she was quite scared of what seeing her eyes inside the VR. She thought she needed to walk in that system and she wanted to leave immediately. When seven seconds were done, she finally saw a blue light and followed it. She tried to use the walking mechanics and moving her screen near the light.

Next thing she finds is pure underwater with colourful sea creatures and animals swimming around. It was astonished to see loads of swarming group of school fish, passing by. There was a great blue shark swimming around followed by unique fishes and other aquatic creatures on the sea. There was a water glowing kingdom with stairs and she was eager to explore more.

Gotou never imagined she could find new things in her underwater journey when exploring in Virtual reality. Even if she knew they were fictional, she was attached to the beauty of the world from dark to light. It managed to calm her spirit and forget the worries in her future.

She started to like watching the sea and the aquatic nature of those animals swimming under the sea. By the time those glowy stairs guide her towards an opening gate of the Water kingdom, she used her foot and walked all the way down. If it was real life, her mind would've triggered those horrid memories of wars and explosions when she stepped foot. However, it turns out she can actually walked and experienced the joyful adventure of going down to the virtual stairway place. The more she steps down, the more she's happy to be completely free from her anxious worries.

Meanwhile, Baron Sue was panicked when she saw Gotou using her bare foot to walk while wearing VR Headset. It seems nothing happened when she finally walked in real life. Her companion thinks all this time when they're teamed up, Gotou will use her ability and accidentally explodes her surroundings when she walked on bare foot. But what she's seeing right now, is a miracle. An improvement, a moment her mentality can change if she removes fear from her mind.

Once Gotou stopped her movements, I noticed she was going to sit and I immediately grabbed her Wheelchair to take her there comfortably. From then on, Gotou continued her immersive underwater experience while Baron Sue and I decided to try it out.

Fourteen minutes had passed by and our time using VR headsets was coming to our end. When we took a breath of air outside, Gotou felt refreshed and more determined like never before.

"For some reason, I want to swim." Gotou remained expressionless but she turned to me and asked, "You happen to know where we could Dive under the water, right?"

"I know where it is but today, it's winter. Maybe next season?" I answered. I didn't expect she would be passionate about swimming after immersing that fake virtual illusions. When I said that out loud, she gave me a glare, not agreeing with my terms. This woman is really hard to get along with. I let out a sigh and controlled my temper, "Look, I don't have enough money to take you there but I have some other suggestions"

"Let me hear it then." Gotou said.

Later On,

We decided to head to the Ocean Park and explore there. It was so tiring to walk all the way here. I never expected this store was opened in sunset and we're the only ones left to visit. My savings could've vanished if it wasn't for Miss Baron Sue. That judge has more money to pay entrance fees than I expected. And oh boy, this is where I feared that I owed her once again.

Despite that, she insists on keeping the change for recommending this place to visit. I don't mind about it but I can't trust her words. We'll never know if she stabs my back or blackmails me.

The staff allowed us first because we have a disabled person among us. Once we went inside the tube, Gotou sparkled her eyes to see real life animals around the sea. Despite being stuck inside this building, it was a wonderful experience to let her see the aquatic animals. Other than being a survivor warrior, it made her feel alive to see the blue wonders of the world that happened in peaceful events in her own eyes.

Her reaction tells me that she's satisfied of going there, which is a relief to me. Who knows what would happened if this gloomy pathetic warrior will be depressed forever without a caretaker? Now I hope nothing happens when she gets excited. My quiet peaceful space didn't last long when I noticed Gotou's other friend has their eyes on me. I can tell their gender is woman because I have a feeling that I met her in the past. But seeing her observation skills makes me sick. I've almost had enough of being watched like a Rodent rat.

"Tell me, Is there something wrong with me? Did I do something that made you mad?" Nezumi felt nervous as he gazed upon the mysterious judge with her sharp eyes.

The ginger haired judge shook her head and answered, "Nothing personal. Though I want to ask, why do you go so far to follow her? You could've just ignored Gotou and run away from her request. I've always seen you as a teenager who ignores everyone and yet, you showed her the secret beauty of nature in this town. Why?"

That question alone gave me goosebumps as her face tells me that I need to speak the truth or I'll get in trouble. I took a deep sigh to stay calm and answered back. "Well, from what I'm thinking. I didn't consider Gotou nee-san to be pitiful and sassy to me, I felt that she's... you know, somewhat inexperienced to normal things like someone trapped in a box. If she thinks this world is a mess, then she hasn't seen the world outside in her own eyes." I looked at her, full of determination and made an honest point. "I wasn't trying to help her by the way. We just made a bet and I'm too tired to listen to her barking."

I scratched my back, trying to remove a callback to how Gotou nee-san and I met. "Though, I wasn't expecting Gotou to make her brave choice to trust her tour guide and lead the way. At first, I was scared to show her more but someone reminded me how I should treat them with respect."

"I see." Baron Sue whispered back.

"Is there anything else?" I questioned again but this time, she turned my back and went back with Gotou.

"..." In times like this, Baron Sue didn't say a word but she gave me a nod as a sign of respect for my answer. I wonder, the look on her stern face bothers me like I wanted to know what's on her mind right now.

Later at the New-Villa Hotel,

When their companions slept at midnight, Baron Sue was waiting for someone, who happened to come into her room on time. It was Doctor Finnish. She took a vacant seat and discussed today's operations. The judge warrior explained her moments with Gotou and Nezumi today and the Doctor obliged to hear that.

"So what do you think about the Rat Warrior?" The Doctor asked.

"Very Peculiar. I would say he has plenty of sins that are often mixed up." Baron Sue answered. She suddenly came up with a questionable answer and added, "How should I say this? We know he forgot things, but most of his sins are randomized because of that."

"So, a Forgotten Warrior that brought countless sins that may never fade." Doctor Finnish summarized her point. She looked at the ceiling and smirked back. "How interesting. Let me test him whether he's a real enemy or not. The truth never lies but finding the Mastermind is our priority."

"I'm looking forward to that." Baron Sue nods back and agrees to her words.

=RAT/NEZUMI POV=

The Next Day at School,

As the next week of class gave us a lunch break, the Class rep Aiko and I headed out to the usual spot at the rooftop, taking our lunch box and eating together in private. Well, it's not like we're alone, our transfer student, Meland has joined us and Aiko is pleased to see her enjoying her time with us.

And of course, the bloodlust continues and it's giving me another chill to my spine again. I knew this was coming from Meland, hiding her resentment against me. I can see she keeps staring at me like I'm some sort of criminal. Just give me a break, woman.

"So Nezumi, about yesterday. Were you at the Planetarium? Did you use those tickets and see those stars?" Friendsheep asked in her muttering tone. It sounds like she was upset for something, I can't recall my actions to her but I couldn't ignore her.

"Fortunately, yes. It was fun, I got someone to use those tickets and enjoy those stars." I answered, hoping she would stop with her weirdly temperment. However, it wasn't enough. Her reaction became worse than I thought. I can tell she's still mad at me for something so I have to come up with a joke and turned away. "Though I was asleep at that time."

"Welp, that's so you." Aiko sighed back in defeat. "I bet that friend of yours were glad to hang out with you."

"Sort of. I owed her a lot. She saved me from getting cornered by stray cats and I repay her back." Meland suddenly dropped her sandwich and stumned to hear that.

She did't expect that Disabled warrior would be able to get invited so easily. It's like Gotou beat her to win Nezumi's trust. Thinking about it frustrates her.

"What's wrong with her?" Nezumi wondered.

"I don't know." Aiko tilted her head in confusion. She doesn't mind her as she picks her lunch and shares it with Nezumi. "Anyways, let's get lunch before the bell rings down."

Later On,

As we finished our lunch and wait for twenty minutes for the next class, "Say Nezumi" Meland picked a small box from her bag and opened it, revealing a box of heart shaped chocolates. "Can you try this one?"

"It's not even Valentines day but I guess, she's too excited to give it to someone. Foreigners nowadays" I thought in my mind and sighed back as I observed her gift.

[Hundredth Paths of Nezumi]

It might be me but, I made up my mind when someone gives me food, I always used my Hundredth paths to try different possibilities whether it's poison or not. Fifty percent chance that something would change me emotionally while Thirty percent would get scolded if I reject her. But what are the twenty chances? Well, one of them happened to be the route I choose when I used that outcome and found out someone interrupt us.

""Looks tasty! Let me have a bite!" Aiko said as she took one heart shaped chocolate and ate it.

"..!" Meland was stunned to see someone else taking her gift. She tried to warn Aiko and stopped her from eating her experiment homemade chocolates but it was too late.

When Aiko swallowed the chocolate, her reaction suddenly changed like her usual cheerfulness was gone. She stared at me for a second and her face became red. "Nezumi... you are-"

Aiko immediately leaned on my chest and hugged me. "I love you!"

"What?" She sounds like a drunken fool confessing to someone out of the blue but I know something is wrong with her. Not only was this worse, she embraced me tightly, shaking her head as if a mother would comfort her son excitedly.

I knew this was not a real confession. In fact, it's becoming crazy. While Aiko embraced me lovingly, I observed Meland, who was looking frustrated at something like she was sort of failing her task. I realised this is the side effect of that homemade chocolate. She was going to give it to us and yet, that chocolate must have some experimental antidotes that would make someone fall in love with lust. That makes sense.

I'm not sure her plans for me but don't tell me… does she want to give Class Rep her attention for her reputation? Does she wanna get famous so badly? Thinking about it makes sense for this transfer student but my mind snapped back as I realized Aiko was going to hug my shoulders and lean her head to my cheek.

"Meland-san, Can you fix this and bring Aiko back to normal?!" Nezumi demands that she has to cure her otherwise she'll regret it.
