Timid Ranger: Part Three

Psychorica was running towards the same beach she attacked before. Her cape was slowing down her pace, but she didn't care as there were two rangers pursuing her with their blades.

Once she made it to the beach, she stopped and turned to where the Rangers were, just 15 feet away from her. Max and Maya held their blades in a defensive position.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't my least favorite Power Rangers," Psychorica mocked. Maya and Max both charged at her, but she proved to be a match as she dodged their strikes and manage to strike both of them with her small dagger.

Maya and Max both stumbled backward. That's when Psychorica took her chance. She reached over and grabbed the top of Max's head with her right hand, and the top of Maya's head with her left hand. Soon, she used her mental hindering capabilities to give the two Rangers migraines that were unbearable.

"Ah!" Max grunted in pain. His head was throbbing and felt as if it was going to explode. Maya squealed in pain as she felt like she was going to be sick from this god-awful migraine.

Psychorica cackled maniacally. "Oh, it's not so bad. It's all in your head!" She teased. This went on for about 10 more seconds before a voice called out.

"Hydro-slash!"

Psychorica didn't have enough time to think when she felt a burst of energy then sent her back into the sand. Max and Maya were relieved as the migraines began to diminish. They looked over to their right and found the Blue Ranger himself standing at a distance, his blade in his right hand.

"DJ!" Max happily. He and Maya ran over to DJ. Once they reached him, Max continued. "You came?"

"Yeah, I guess I just needed to chill out for a moment," DJ said. "I'm very sorry about my behavior."

Maya shook her head. "No, it's ok. We understand you were under that monster's spell, but how did it go away?"

"Well, all Sensei had to do is to remind me that the past is history, and I should let my dark past cast shadows over my bright future, and just like that, the spell went away."

"Ok, that is single-handily the best advice you can give to someone," Max exclaimed as they all laughed before a cold voice interrupted them.

"I'm not finished with you Rangers yet!" Psychorica screamed. The rangers immediately got into position with their stances. Right when they were about to battle, Ellie spoke through Max's earpiece.

"Max, can you read me?"

"Yes, I can read you," Max answered.

"Listen, I have a few toys that I would like to present to you guys. Hold your blades up high and see what happens."

The others didn't know what Ellie meant but decided to oblige. They held their blades high up into the sky. Not even 5 seconds later, their blades began to shine and transform into bizarre weapons.

The Rangers were awesome by the time the transformations were complete. DJ's blade formed into an impressive-looking ax with a long blue handle, and the blade was triangular and resembled a shark's tooth. Maya's weapon resembled a yellow-colored bow gun with two canines pointing upfront. While Max's weapon was an incredible-looking shield that was Ruby Red and had a bird's beak sticking out upfront.

The Rangers were amazed as they examined their new weapons.

"Woah!" DJ exclaimed.

"This is sweet," Max said with a grin.

"Nice..." was all that could come out of Maya's mouth.

"Hey, Rangers!" Psychorica called out. The Rangers snapped out of their trance as they noticed the monster was still a few meters from where they were standing. Psychorica's right eye glowed as she shot green energy basts at the Rangers.

"Watch out!" Maya yelled out as she and DJ retreated behind Max. Max decided to put his shield to the test with held hit forward as the blasts reached them. Sure enough, the Eagle Shield not only manage to protect the Rangers but absorbed the energy and shot it right back at Psychorica.

Psychrorica screamed as the blasts struck her, sending her flying and into the ground, fumes moving out of her entire body as she was wounded.

She groaned in pain as she managed to slowly get up on her feet, but then shrieked as DJ charged at her with his Shark Ax in hand.

DJ struck the Psychorica's abdomen and the bottom half of her robe, revealing her black, slim legs.

Psychorica stumbled backward and whined. "No! It took me months to knit this! You'll pay for this!"

"I don't think so!" DJ said with a smirk. "Now, Maya!"

Psychorica turned and screamed as Maya her Cheetah Bow Gun at her, shooting yellow blasts at Psychrocia, sending the monster flying.

The Rangers gathered together with their weapons. Max spoke, glancing at both of his friends. "Hey, is it possible for us to combine our weapons!"

Maya and DJ looked at one another with excitement through their visors. Max connected the bottom of his shield to the front of Maya's Bow Gun. DJ followed suit and inserted his ax through the barrel of the Bow Gun, giving it more power as it began to shine brightly.

Max held the blaster as Maya offered support from the right, and DJ kneeled in the front to help aim the gun towards the monster as Psychorica weakly got back up to her feet.

"COMBAT CANNON!" They all called out.

"Oh, this is such a migraine!" Psychorica exclaimed, digging her hands into her hood.

"Ready?" Max questioned.

"Fire!" DJ yelled. Max nodded and pulled the trigger, causing a huge, black ball of energy to shoot out from the cannon and towards Psychorica.

"UH OH!" Psychorica couldn't say any more as the blast struck her. She tried to block it using her dagger, but the blast was too great and went right through her. She screamed as she felt her insides ignite. The rangers watched with satisfaction as Psychorica collapsed onto the ground with sparks flying out of her body before she erupted, flames spewing from where she collapsed.

Po threw a fit from discovering Psychorica's defeat. Sky facepalmed as her brother began pacing around the area, throwing cuss words here and there.

"I shouldn't have known that plan wouldn't work," He muttered loud enough for Sky to hear. He stopped and looked up at her and smirked. "No matter, I'll send the twins over to further my plan on getting rid of the rangers for good!"

Sky smirked as she couldn't wait for the brother-sister duo to finally get into action.

Back at the Tee Residence, DJ's father sat at the kitchen table one morning still in a white tee shirt and black sweatpants he wore to bed the previous night. He was sipping his coffee and checking on his phone when his son darted down the stairs in his MMA attire and into the kitchen.

"Hey Dad," he greeted with a grin.

Monroe raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Well, you are a happy camper. So what's up?"

DJ shrugged as he walked over to the fridge to grab a juice pouch. "Oh, it's nothing. Just had a great day yesterday and I am looking forward to today."

Monroe smiled and nodded. "I'm happy for you..." He spoke before turning back to his phone. He was then stunned when he felt two arms wrap around him. His son was hugging him? Normally, DJ would only hug for comfort, but this hug felt different.

When DJ pulled back, his father asked. "What was that for?"

DJ sighed. "For the past few years, Dad, I had this grudge against you for what happened to Mom."

Monroe's heart began to ache, but DJ continued. "But now I realized that I should never let my dark past cast shadows over my bright future, and I look forward now to what the future holds for the both of us."

Monroe felt tears of happiness fill up his eyes and his son chuckled and embraced him again, which Monroe returned strongly. "I'm so happy to hear that, son. Just remember that I love you, I have always loved you, and I will always love you."

DJ pulled away and replied. "Thanks, dad, and I love you, too. I'm glad things will start to look better for the both of us." He then heard his phone ping. "Oh crap! I'm late!" He grabbed his bag rushed out of the kitchen and towards the door. "See ya, dad!"

"Bye, son!" Monroe replied. The ache in his heart that had been stuck for years slowly began to diminish. Now he looked forwards to seeing the new and improved Dean-Jamal.

At the dojo, there was a 2-on-2 competition, with an audience watching from the bleachers.

Max and Maya managed to get the front row seat. They sat next to a girl with amber-colored hair tied into a ponytail. Her eyes were a shocking shade of green, and she wore a white skirt that was down to her knees with a matching vest with a white blouse underneath with short puffy sleeves.

Maya smirked as she tapped on the girl's shoulder. "Hello," she greeted.

The girl smiled sweetly. "Why, hello there."

"Are you new around here? This is a small town and we recognize everyone here, but you seem like a new face."

"Oh," the girl interjected, blushing a bit. "I'm actually new in town. My family just moved here a little over a week ago. That's my brother who fighting with that kid over there." She mentioned, referring to DJ and his partner.

Max's eyes widened. "Hey, he's teaming with our friend. That's our pal DJ."

Maya held out her hand for the girl to shake. "My name is Maya, by the way. And this is Max," she introduced herself and her friend.

The girl gently shook Maya's hand before shaking Max's hand. "Nice to meet you guys. I'm Bonnibell."

Max raised an eyebrow and tilted her head, chuckling a bit. "Bonnibell. I am a guessing you probably have a nickname."

Maya turned and pinched his shoulders, signaling him not to be rude with a cold glare. Max rubbed his shoulders and rolled his eyes.

Maya looked over at Bonnie. "I am so sorry..."

The girl giggled. "It is fine. He is right, it is short for something. Everybody just calls me Bonnie. My brother's name is Donald...Donnie for short."

Right then and there, the three noticed both of DJ and Donnie's opponents were taken down easily, ending the match. The two were declared the winners as the referee raised their hands up high, resulting in them receiving a standing ovation from the audience.

When DJ noticed Max and Maya in the front row and tapped on Donnie's shoulder. "Hey, follow me. There are a few guys I'd like you to meet."

"Are you talking about the two that are with my sister over there?" Donnie asked.

DJ's eyes widened. "Oh wow, yes. They are with your sister."

The two walked over to the front row. Maya hugged DJ tightly and spoke. "That was so cool, Deej." She pulled away and sighed. "I am so proud of what you have overcome."

DJ smiled, feeling absolutely accomplished. But then Donnie approached him with his sister. "DJ, this is my sister Bonnie. Bonnie, this is my new pal, DJ."

DJ held his hand out for Bonnie to shake. "Nice to meet you."

"Likewise," Bonnie replied, skating his hand.

"Oh, and I am guessing you met my friends Max and Maya, huh?" DJ asked with his hands on his hips.

Donnie smiled politely at Maya and Max and shook both of their hands. "It's nice to meet you both. I'm Donnie, by the way."

"It's great that we all know each other," Max spoke with a grin.

"Yeah," Donnie said, but then heard a ping from his phone. He picked it up and groaned and looked over at his sister. "Ugh, Aunt Rachel is waiting outside."

Bonnie rolled her eyes for a moment and smiled at her new friends. "It was nice meeting you guys. Hope to see you around soon!"

"See yah!" The three Rangers said in unison as Donnie and his sister walked away.

Bonnie spoke into Donnie's ear. "I hope they don't figure out what we have in store for them."

Donnie nodded his head. "Yes, we will avenge Mom and Dad for what those people have done to them."

They both laughed evilly as they exited the building. Nothing would stop them from getting their "revenge". Nothing.

I'm glad I am done with this episode. I may try to come up with a theme song for this series, but that would be another day.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the next episode.
