Twin Rangers Part Three

Max had demorphed and teleported back to the dojo. He found Uni and Ellie sitting at the short table, observing the laptop on Ellie's lap.

Ellie grinned at her screen. "I am sure the Rangers are going to love these babies."

"Love what?" Max asked from behind, startling both father and daughter. Ellie shut her laptop and held it on her side as she stood up.

"Oh, it's nothing," Ellie spoke defensively.

Max sighed. "Whatever it is, it doesn't matter. What matters is that two jerks have gotten DJ." He glanced over at Uni, narrowing his eyes. "Sensei, I want to have a discussion."

Uni stood up and folded his hands behind his back as he spoke. "What could be the issue?"

"Be honest with me, how many Gems were there?" Max asked.

Uni was a little startled by the question and was almost reluctant to ask, but he just had to confess. "Five. There were five Gems."

"To add a little information, he lost both the white and green Gems before you guys became rangers," Ellie spoke, which earned her a stern look from her father.

Max's eyes widened. White and Green? Those were the same colors as the rangers that kidnapped DJ and most likely Maya.

"Who do you think could have taken those Gems?" Max asked, folding his arms.

Uni glanced over at him and spoke with an expressionless look on his face. "Maxwell, besides me, the only other being who could have been strong enough to break open the box containing the Gems was none other than Po himself."

Max could hardly catch his breath. Now it made a whole lot of sense. Uni didn't want to admit that there were two other Gems because he probably didn't want them to go looking for them, knowing how curious teenagers were. Also, those rangers were probably at...

Max gasped and muttered. "Kartae..."

"What?" Ellie exclaimed, raising an eyebrow.

Max glanced over at his Japanese-American friend and spoke. "Where else do you believe those rangers could have taken them if they were working with Po?" Max then snapped his finger and spoke. "Ellie, you're a genius, right?"

Ellie rolled her eyes and smirked. "Well, I am a master when it comes to engineering, especially futuristic engineering. Why?"

"Do you think there is a way I can follow those two rangers to Kartae?"

Ellie was baffled for a moment for she began thinking. She then thought of the perfect idea. "I got it!"

Max looked at her with so much excitement. "What?"

"Ok, listen. You know how when a Power Ranger or Humanitor teleports, they let out a huge gush of a vapor."

"Yeah...

"Your Gem's element is Air, and one of its capabilities is suction. I can use your Gem to absorb the smoke after you teleport. I can then use the same technology we open portal so that the Gem can open a clear entrance to Po's lair."

Max's eyes widened. "Can that really, work?"

Ellie glanced over at her father, who crossed his arms and gave her an approving nod. She then glanced back over to Max. "Hand me your Gem."

Max held out his hand and sure enough, his clear, shiny Red Gem appeared. He handed it to Ellie as he spoke. "Good, now I need to get close enough to you as you teleport."

She took a few steps forward towards Max, which got the Red Ranger to grunt in frustration as he hated being too close to anybody, minus it being a hug.

Ellie held the Gem against her chest. "Now, I need you to just teleport outside by the lake and immediately teleport back."

Max did so and concentrated, before calling out. "Teleport!" He spoke. Ellie then felt a huge gush of wind go roughly through her body, but she still kept focused and used the Gems powers to such the fumes inside.

She then kept coughing another gush of wind erupted as Max teleported back. Once the fumes diminished, Max noticed his friend coughing and chuckled. "Sorry..."

Ellie looked up annoyed at Max. "It's fine."

Max's eyes widened at his Gem. "Look. My Gem is a brighter shade of red!"

"Yeah, that's because some of the smoke went inside," Ellie said, chuckling. "Now, all we have to do is use it to make a portal and sure enough, it will lead you to Kartae."

Ellie handed Max's Gem over to him. He gave her an approving nod before looking towards the wall that was adjacent to Ellie's computer set.

Max took a deep breath before pointing his Gem towards the wall. "Portal!" He called out. His Gem then shot the gush of fumes it colleges towards the wall. A bright, blue portal appeared. Max widened as it worked.

Max looked to his right at Uni and Ellie. Uni simply spoke. "Good luck, grasshopper."

Max nodded before he ran towards and jumped through the portal, but not before calling out. "CALL INTO COMBAT!"

The Green and White Rangers stood behind Po as Maya's energy was almost completely drained, with DJ helplessly watching from far behind them while he was bound and gagged

DJ shook his head in disbelief. This couldn't be happening. Especially not to Maya. If anything, he believed the one person who should have been taken was either him or Max. Anyone but Maya. Because there was so much DJ could have done for her throughout the entirety of their friendship. Perhaps repay her for the debt he and Max both owed to her for everything she had done for them.

DJ then snapped out from his stupor as he heard a creaking sound from behind Po's Throne. He looked over and was confused as to who it could be behind that throne. Perhaps Po's sister? No. She traveled to the other side of Kartae with Chasm for a gathering with other evil Humanitors.

Then a head peeked out from behind the throne. DJ squinted his eyes before he muffle excitedly through his head as he realized the figure was none other than Max, now fully morphed as the Red Power Ranger.

"MMAAPH!" He muffled Max's name, thankfully not loud enough for Po and his own Rangers to hear. Max took the dare to tiptoe to where DJ was being held. His heart almost stopped every time either Po or the other Rangers would startle a bit. After an amplifying minute, Max finally reached DJ and slowly removed his gag, warning him to be as quiet as possible.

Once the gag was off, DJ whispered as quietly as he could but loud enough for Max to hear. "Max, Maya is right there. They are draining every bit of power out of her. We won't be able to save her."

Max smirked and shook his head. He backed up a bit and pulled out his blade. He quickly slashed the bounds wrapped tightly around his friend, finally freeing him.

It was at this moment where Po turned and noticed the Red Ranger saving one of his hostages.

He cackled. "So, we have another party guest joining us."

DJ and the Red Ranger stood side by side defensively against Po and the two Rangers.

"DJ, morph, now!" Max ordered.

DJ nodded before holding out his hand. His Gem appeared and smacked the top of it with his other hand, morphing him into the Blue Ranger.

Po was ready to show these Rangers what he was made us when he felt a pain in his chest. He grunted as he fell to his knees with his hands on his chest. "Arg, the Power Surge! I have to get back to Sky." He looked over at the Green and White Rangers. "You two, get them!"

They nodded, pulling out their staff and charging towards DJ and Max. "We can't deal with them now! We have to save Maya!" Max exclaimed.

"Go and save her!" DJ responded, pulling out his blade. "I'll take care of these guys!" He charged at the Rangers and dueled with them. DJ should have known that dealing with two Rangers would be a challenge, but he gave it his all as he swung his blade at the Green Ranger then back towards the White Ranger, both would block each of his strikes with their hard staffs.

While this was going on, Max rushed over to Maya, who was in a deep state of consciousness. He checked her pulse, and let out a huge sigh of relief when he realized she was still holding on. he looked over at the needle implanted on her arm and realized what was going on. He rushed over to the large computer sitting next to Maya. It looked old-fashioned. Like if an ATM had a keyboard, a mouth, and access to the internet.

Max looked over at the screen and realized that Maya's Power Percentage was at 5 percent. He searched around the browser for any sort of way to reverse the effects of what was happening to Maya. He then came across a reset button on the very corner of the screen.

Max shrugged. It's now or never. He thought.

He quickly clicked reset and was astonished when Maya's Power Percentage began to increase Rapidly. He look over at the tube that was connected to the machine and the needle that previously was sucking the life out of Maya, and now it was injecting Maya's energy back into her body.

It didn't take long for Maya's eyes to snap back open as she gasped. She immediately remembered where she was and wondered what had happened. Then the Red Ranger appeared in front of her, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"You alright?"

Maya grinned. "Max, it's you! H-how did you get here?"

"No time to explain," he spoke as he used his blade to cut the bounds, freeing Maya. "Just get up and morph! We got to get out of here!"

Maya put on a serious face and nodded and stood up, holding out her hand. "CALL INTO COMBAT!" She spoke, morphing into the Yellow Ranger.

DJ was busy battling the two Rangers, and he was easily getting worn out, while the other two Rangers weren't breaking a sweat. He then heard someone call his name.

"DJ, GET OVER HERE!" He heard Max yell. He looked over and was surprised to see not only Max but Maya now completely fine and morphed. Max had opened a portal that would lead them back home. He was just about to make his way over to them, when the Green Ranger kicked him from behind, sending DJ to the ground.

"Not so fast, we are not done with you," the mischievous ranger spoke bitterly. However, before he could finish DJ off with his staff, he felt a gush of wind send him and his sister backward. They fell onto their behinds, which have DJ enough time to collect himself and rush over to Maya and Max.

The three Rangers jumped through the portal and back home, said portal closing as soon as they went through.

The Green Ranger silently cursed himself as he stood up and demorphed. The white Ranger stood up as well as demorphed, revealing herself to be a young girl with amber-colored hair wrapped in a ponytail, along with green eyes. Her brother also had amber hair and green eyes, but his hair was much shorter.

"Don't worry," she snickered, "We will get them next time."

The three Rangers made it to civilization. They were standing at the reservoir when they looked at one another.

DJ and Max took off their helmets as they glanced over at Maya with grins on their faces.

Maya took off her helmet and shook her thick black hair. She looked over at her friends and smiled. "You guys...you guys came back for me?"

"Of course we did," DJ spoke. "Why wouldn't we? After all the things you have done for us, it was the least we could do."

Maya frowned a bit, scratching the back of her neck. "I guess I was a little over-dramatic that night."

Max shook his head. "Maya, don't be sorry. To be real, you were right. We should have been more appreciative about you."

"Yeah, you may be dramatic, hyper, sassy, and whatnot, but you are still our sister," DJ spoke with a small smile. "We're sorry if you feel like you missed out because of us."

Maya sighed and smiled. "Honestly, I shouldn't have cared about what you guys do for me. I cannot end our friendship right now and leave all those laughs and moments we spent together behind." She held her fist straight forward. "United we stand!"

DJ smirked as he set his fist on top of Maya, with Max following through with his fish on top. "Divided we fall!" They called out, jumping and pointing their fists towards the sky.

They laughed before being startled by a quake. They looked ahead and noticed something disturbing the city. Something BIG! More like a ginormous Karadrac that was the size of Godzilla.

"Woah, what is that thing?!" DJ screamed.

"It's huge!" Maya added.

Max put his finish on his ear and spoke. "Um, Ellie...we have a problem."

"I know, and I have a few toys for you guys as well."

DJ spoke excitedly. "Are you saying what I think you are saying?"

Ellie chuckled. "Yup, Zords!"

"ZORDS!" They all screamed. From a distance, the Red Eagle Zord soared through the city. From the Bay area on the opposite side of the city, a huge robot resembling a Blue Shark jumped out of the water. While the Cheetah Zord sprinted through the forest towards the Rangers' destination.

The three rangers had their jaws dropped as their Zords stood side by side of one another, with the Eagle Zord hovering slightly over where the Shark Zord was laying the edge of the bay.

Max then turned towards Maya and DJ and spoke with a grin. "Let's kick it!"

"Yeah!" The other two cried. Quickly, they put their helmets back over their heads before using smoke bombs to teleport themselves into their zords' cockpits.

Max's cockpit was behind his Zord's eyes. It was a bright, futuristic-looking room with buttons everywhere, And a comfy, foam seat for Max to sit on.

Once he was in his cockpit he looked around and was amazed at his surrounding. His entire cockpit looked like it came from a movie, with bright red lights everywhere.

"Woah..." He spoke as he grabbed onto the wheel that was practically his controller. "This is sweet!"

"Sure is!" DJ spoke from his cockpit in the Shark Zord, which was lit up with blue fluorescent lights.

"Let kick this show on the road!" Maya called out from her zord's cockpit.

The ginormous Karadrac noticed the three zords and screeched as Max drove his zord at it, sending it tumbling backward and falling on his back.

The Karadrac was whining as it got back onto its feet. He then felt his face be crunched in between a set of jaws.

"Take that!" DJ called out, but the Karadrac managed to put his zord off of it before throwing it across the city and into the bay.

"WOAH!" DJ hollered his entire body before tilting all over the place from his seat as his zord crashed into the water.

"Don't worry, Deej. I got this!" Maya spoke as her Zord's eyes lit up. "FIRE!" With that, the Cheetah zord shot multiple bits of energy at the monster. It screeched as it tumbled backward again and onto the ground.

"Guys, this won't be enough!" DJ exclaimed as he managed to get his Zord's head above water.

"Right, you know what this means, right?" Max asked with a huge grin underneath his helmet.

"Yeah!"

The three of them then put their hands together and spoke. "Form the Megazord now!"

Thus the Megazord formation sequence began. The Cheetah Zord stood upwards on its feet it began transforming into the Megazord's legs, body, and right arm. The Cheetah's arms disengaged from the Zord and were put together to form the Megazord's right arm, as the rest of the Cheetah Zords formed the Megazord's legs and body. Once that was complete, the Megazord's right arm connected.

Then it was DJ's turn. His Zord turned hopped out of the water and turned upside down, with its jaw opened wide so the left hand, which was made of black metal, could pop out. The Zord's fin disengaged for the Megazord's head as the rest of the Zord connected with the inverted Cheetah Zord for the Megazord's left arm.

While Max's rather tiny Zord simply turned its head upwards as it screeched. Its bottom half opened up, revealing a metal-looking face with a carved lip and bright blue, circular eyes. The top half of the Eagle Zord flipped backward to make room for the Shark's Zord's fins, which rotated upwards as the top of the fin was then inserted first through the Megazord's head, thus completing the sequence.

The three rangers were all teleported into one cockpit, with Max in the middle, with DJ on his right, and Maya on his left.

They looked around the cockpit and were amazed. The entire thing looked as if it were to be the command center of the original Power Rangers they studied about, with the only key difference is instead of a joystick, they have steering wheels to control their Zords.

"Woah..." Max exhaled.

"Amazing," Maya said, nodding her head.

"Nice..." DJ spoke.

Then Max called out. "Alright, focus. This ugly thing is coming."

The Karadrac screamed as it swung its thick, sharp dagger at the Megazord, only for it to duck and strike the Karadrac with its right hand straight in the abdomen.

The Karadrac screeched as it shock blue lasers from its eyes, which struck the Megazord.

The cockpit began to tremble as the Megazord was taken aback physically by the blast. The Rangers all winced but managed to pull it together.

"Alright, not it's time for some intimidation. Or in this case, imitation!" Max spoke before pressing his steering wheel forward. "Air Blast!" He commanded, causing the Megazord's eyes to shoot beams at the Karadrac, causing it to bounce backward and flip, falling face-first onto the edge of the Bay.

"Now it is time to finish this guy once and for all!" Maya exclaimed.

"Right," Max added. "DJ hit it!"

DJ nodded his head, not taking his eyes off the monster. "With pleasure." He pressed on the accelerator beneath him. "SHARK ZORD, POWER UP!" He called out just as the monster got back on his feet, moaning in pain.

The teeth on DJ's zord began to electrify as its jaws expanded. The Megazord jumped towards the monster, its left arm pointed directly at the Karadrac's face

"SHARK BITE!" All the Rangers yelled as the Shark's razor-sharp and powerful teeth struck the Karacdrac, sending shockwaves in and outside of its body.

The Megazord jumped back at a safe distance from the Karadrac as it squealed in agony before collapsing to the ground and erupting.

The Rangers, seeing the monster's destruction through the Megazord's eyes, all jumped from their seats and cheered, slapping each other hands together as Max spoke happily, pointing his fist straight forward."United we stand!"

Maya and DJ finished the phrase, raising their fists beside Max's. "Divided we fall!"

Po growled in defeat as he returned back to his lair, both of his own Rangers following closely behind him. His gray face was filled with anger and frustration.

"Well, the Power Rangers have won again." He snickered. "They have won battles so far, but I will soon taste victory at the end of this war."

He turned his back around and grinned at his two Rangers, now unmorphed and wearing black robes. "It will be a long adventure for the three of us...Donnie and Bonnie."

The twins both glanced over at one another and gave each other nervous glances. All they wanted is to get their hands on Uni once and for all, but now that they are currently living with their aunt, how will they hide this secret from her? That they are working alongside someone who plans on taking over the planet just so that they could get revenge on the person they believe caused their parents' deaths.

But they knew that if Max, DJ, and Maya are all working alongside their enemy, then in general, those three are enemies to the twins.

The summer acknowledgment ceremony has begun at the town's ginormous cafe, where dim lights surrounded the entire area. The guests of this ceremony sat in booths, and they all consisted of Maya's family, friends, teachers from schools, as well as classmates.

Max, his parents, DJ, his father, and Maya's mother all sat at the far-end corner of the seating area, where they got the perfect view of the stage. Adana was shaking with excitement and joy to finally have her little girl back, and now she will face in front of everyone and give out a speech.

Mr. Bennett, the kids' High School English Teacher, spoke behind the podium through a microphone. "Good morning everyone. As we all are enjoying tonight just relaxing and enjoying the best coffee this country could offer, I would like to welcome someone who would like to present a speech in front of you guys. Please welcome Maya Garcia!"

Everyone gave a loud round of applause as Maya walked over to the podium. She wore her ordinary attire as she thought there would be no need to wear something fancy in the morning, so she just stuck with her original yellow shirt.

She got her papers ready as she stood behind the podium. She cleared her voice and spoke. "Good morning, my name is Maya Garcia and I would like to spare a few words. We all had our struggles, and if you are an adult, you may struggle with bills, student loan debt, dealing with your coworkers, and having to tolerate your teenage kids' intolerant behavior."

The entire audience all chuckled at the last quip, including Maya. She then spoke again. "However, there are people like me who are lucky to still be living their young lives. For me, being together personally with my friends makes me feel as if I have a second family. If you feel alone out there, don't close the book on your story. Just flip the page, sharpen your pencil, and write the next chapter. You are strong. You may go through struggles and may feel as if you are about to break down, but let me be clear, you are not allowed to give up. Instead of using a period, use a comma. Breathe, pause, regroup, and try again. This is coming from someone who had lost her father at such a young age. To me, that felt as if I could just shut down, believing nobody else would want me."

The audience let out a sad 'aw', but Maya continued with light in her voice.

"However, here I am standing in front of you strong and willing to face the next day, and I have a few guys to thank for that. They will appear soon, but let's just say these two have been by my side through it all. They may feel like my own annoying little brother. But to me, they are the closest things I could refer to as my brothers. So to Max and DJ, thanks for the laughs and time we spent together. You guys are my brothers and I love you with all my heart. My message to everyone is to find your moment, and of course, find your own group of people. Because you will feel complete if you do. Thank you."

The entire cafe erupted with applause. A few patrons even shed a tear or two at Maya's speech. Maya grabbed her papers and walked off the stage, only to be tackled with a bone-crushing hug by both of her friends. She laughed as she returned the hug back. Maya's mother stood up and pulled her phone to take a picture of this sweet moment.

If only those three would have noticed Bonnie and Donnie standing behind the curtains on the stage, watching the Rangers' every move.

"It's almost time," Donnie mumbled.

There! Everything will be explained in the next three-parter. I hope you guys liked the Megazord battle.
