Hey guys!
So a little update as to what had been going on the past few months.
Since the 28th of this past August, I have been residing in my new college dormitory and I assumed that I will be extremely busy writing more chapters of my stories. However, I have had a whole lot of free time to write. However, in the coming weeks, again, updates will slow down as I will be joining a club and I am currently working a part-time job.
If these circumstances hinder the frequency of my updates, I will be sure to let you guys know.
Also, one factor as to why updates may slow down is because I want to make my chapters as precise as they can be. What I mean is that I have not been very proud of the past few chapters merely because I thought they were forced and needed more time. So updates may become rarer as I will put more effort into my stories so that they will become more enjoyable for you guys.
That's all for now and thank you guys so much for your patience and understanding.
New Friends Part Two
The very next day, both Maya and Max were at the dojo for another day of training. They were fully morphed into the Red and Yellow Rangers as they battled against each other for training, while Uni surveyed them from a distance, his hands folded behind his back.
Maya had her cheetah stance as she prepare to lunge towards Max, but the latter dodged by hopping over the Yellow Ranger.
Max chuckled. "Oh no, you don't!" He exclaimed before turning towards Maya and pointing his right index finger and middle finger at her. "Air Splash!" He called. A gush of air followed through and blew Maya towards the wall.
She grunted in pain as she ground her teeth, struggling to get back onto her feet. Once she did, she smirked underneath her helmet. "Try this." She charged Max and used her might to form a ball of dust before her hands. Before Max could do anything, Maya tossed the dust at his helmet. This blinded Max as he now could see through his visor.
Maya took this as an opportunity and somersaulted, grabbing Max's leg halfway through the maneuver. Max was then flipped backward twice before landing facefirst onto the ground.
He moaned in pain as he demorphed. Maya landed on her feet and chuckled, demorphing and crossing her arms.
Uni walked over to them and gave the Yellow Ranger an approving nod. "Well done, Ms. Garcia."
Maya smiled and did a polite bow. "Thank you, Sensei."
"Dare I ask, where on earth is Dean-Jamal?"
Max managed to gather his bearings as he scratched the back of his neck. "I have no clue." He spoke. Neither he nor Maya had heard from their dark-skinned friend since they sent him out into the woods. They all figured he might have gone home, but he should have known that today was training day.
"Maybe he overslept," Maya guessed with uncertainty in her voice. Sure, DJ was known to be a heavy sleeper, but even she knew it was unlikely for him to sleep past noon, even if it was a Saturday.
Just then, Max's cellphone rang. He picked it up and glanced over at the caller ID. Sure enough, it read DJ's name.
Max smirked and looked up at Maya. "He's probably going to apologize greatly for being tardy like last time."
Maya rolled her eyes and chuckled, since what Max just said was accurate to how DJ was. Max answered the phone and put it on speaker for Uni and Maya to hear.
"Hey, Deej. You're supposed to be at practice today." Max spoke, waiting to hear DJ's sorry reaction.
"Max!" DJ yelled. "You won't believe what had happened yesterday!"
The smirks on their faces disappeared at DJ's frantic tone. What could be troubling him?
"Woah, Woah, WOAH! DJ, whatever you need to share, I'd suggest teleporting to the dojo." Max spoke defensively.
DJ grunted. "Alright, fine."
The line then went then. Soon enough, a portal opened up and DJ walked through, entering the dojo.
Maya, Max, and Uni sat at the Japanese table as DJ was pacing around the dojo, looking rather frantic.
"DJ, sit down!" Maya exclaimed. DJ snapped out of his panic faze and obeyed. Taking a seat across from Max and Maya, and next to Uni.
"What could the issue be, Dean-Jamal?" Uni asked with concern in his voice.
"Yeah, where were you?" Maya asked.
DJ looked up at his friends and struggled to find the right words to describe what he saw last night. All he remembered before passing out was battling Po's brother to seeing him with the mysterious Green and White Rangers. That wasn't what took DJ off guard. What took him by surprise was when Chasm mentioned the Rangers' names, and who the Rangers actually were.
Why are the two new friends who have quickly gained the Rangers' trust working with an overlord who wants to destroy the Academy and take over the world? Bonnie and Donnie are not Humanitors...are they?
DJ took a deep breath before finally exclaiming out loud. "Donnie and Bonnie are working with Po!"
It felt as if time had frozen for just a few seconds as Uni, Max, and Maya all tried to bring in what DJ had just said, especially Uni. If his eyes got any wider, they would have popped, since he never knew about Bonnie and Donnie's new friendship with the Rangers, or how DJ knew their names. What would shock the Rangers is how Uni knows who Donnie and Bonnie are?
"What are you talking about, Deej?" Max asked, narrowing his eyes. As of now, his friend was sounding like a lunatic to him.
"Listen, hear me out," DJ started, taking a huge breath before explaining. "Last night, while I was searching deep into the woods, I ran into a Humanitor. He was this big scary being with yellow hair and he and I battled. He turned out to be extremely powerful and was able to take me down with ease. However, before I passed out, two figures appeared in front of me. It was the Green and White Rangers, and the freak I was dealing with approached them and said their names. I couldn't believe it at first, but then they demorphed and it removed all doubt. Those two were Donnie and Bonnie."
Max and Maya were at a loss for words. This couldn't be true. Could it?
Just then, Uni got up on his feet and walked off through a portal. He didn't want to face adversity, especially in a situation like this. He hated lying, especially to three people who trusted him the most. He didn't want to admit that Po managed to convince young kids to fight with him while they lived with their aunt. He also didn't want them to believe he helped the two twins in any way.
He also knew the main reason as to why Bonnie and Donnie are working with Po. They didn't care about taking over the world. They only cared about getting revenge on Sensei Uni for a crime they believe he committed.
He only hoped they would come to their senses and break free from Po's grasp.
Back in Kartae, Chasm and Sky approached Po, who was relaxing on his throne and grinning at the two Rangers who stood to the right of him.
Once he noticed his siblings, he growled. "What do you guys need?"
Sky was the first to speak. "Brother, I would have to advise you that the Rangers are currently aware of Bonnie and Donnie's identities."
The twins snapped their heads towards one another in complete shock. Po stood up and approached his brother, balling his fists.
"How could this have been possible?" He hissed. Chasm shivered in fear as he held his hands halfway up in defense.
"Now brother, I can confess," Chasm spoke. "I may have had a run-in with the Blue Ranger. I managed to beat him down by the time the twins arrived and let's just say he may or may not have seen them demorph."
Donnie demorphed at that moment and approached Chasm, grinding his teeth in anger, but was stopped by Po. "Easy, son..." The evil Karate Master spoke soothingly. He then glanced over at Sky. "I want Karadracs sent over to assist these two in destroying those Rangers once and for all."
Sky smiled and bowed her head. "Yes, dear brother."
Po then turned towards Donnie and his sister. He snickered. "You guys are going to pay Karate Operations a little visit."
"Are we going to destroy Uni?" Donnie spoke with a hopeful smile.
"No, that would be too easy. We would want to destroy his spirit." Po then took Donnie's open hand and place a crystal-looking artifact on it. "This is the crystal of souls. Take Uni's precious daughter and exterminate her."
Donnie turned towards his sister, who smiled at him. He smirked before turning his head towards Po. "As you wish, sir."
Soon Ellie arrived at Karate Operations, the alarm signaling a disturbance in the city when off. Ellie hopped onto her computer to figure out where the disturbance is coming from. After glancing at the digital map of the city, she concluded that the disturbance is at the empty parking garage of the mall.
Max spoke after examining what was displayed on the screen. "Well, I guess it is morphin' time."
He stood behind Ellie with Maya at his right and DJ at his left. Their Gems appeared in their hands as they morphed. "CALL INTO COMBAT!"
The morphing sequence began. After their spirit animals helped form their helmets. The three Rangers held their animal stances.
"Power Land!" Maya yelled, dust exploding from far behind her.
"Power Air!" Max called out, powerful winds blowing around him.
"Power Sea!" DJ exclaimed as a huge wave erupted behind him.
After the sequence, the three Rangers teleported to the parking garage of the mall they frequently visit. Through the large passage filled with nothing but lights and parking spots, the Rangers could visibly sea Karadracs scaring away innocent civilians as the two Rangers they have been dealing with watched, with Chasm in between them.
Once Chasm noticed the three Rangers standing from a distance. He chuckled. "Well, well, well, if it isn't the wannabe Power Rangers!" He spoke. He pointed his staff at them. "Karadracs, attack!"
The multitude of foot soldiers charged at the Rangers.
"Let's do it!" Max exclaimed before he and his friends charged at the foot soldiers.
DJ backed up against the wall as Karadracs tried to corner him, but he pulled out his blade and struck a few. As he began to dominate, a figure lunged at him, but DJ dodged it.
The figure did a front flip before landing on his feet. He turned and faced the Blue Ranger.
DJ held his hands forward as he tried to talk to his schoolmate. "Donnie, please, I don't want to hurt you!"
Donnie pulled out his staff and charged at DJ. "Your mistake!" He exclaimed before striking the Blue Ranger twice with his trusty weapon.
Meanwhile, another school of Karadracs surrounded a large perimeter as Maya dealt with the White Ranger, who she knew to be Bonnie.
Bonnie pulled out her staff and dueled with Maya, striking in many directions, but the Yellow Ranger blocked her attacks with her blade.
"I don't want to do this, Bonnie!" Maya exclaimed but was shocked as Bonnie did a full somersault over her head. Maya turned then felt a hard strike across her chest. She gasp in pain as she fell backward before being apprehended by a few foot soldiers, who she had to deal with next.
Lastly, Chasm shot bolts of energy from his staff as the Red Ranger charged at him. He missed before Max managed to reach him.
"You're through!" Max called out as he swung his blade downwards but missed. Chasm then grabbed Max by his throat and pulled him in close.
Max gagged as Chasm spoke. "You think you and your friends are going to stop the Humanitors, especially when we have our team of Rangers." Chasm then turned Max's neck so that the Red Ranger could witness his friends' battles against the twins. DJ was being struck many times by Donnie's staff, and Maya was held against the wall by Bonnie before being struck to the ground by the White Ranger herself.
Max then shook free and struck Chasm with his blade, causing the powerful being to back up just far enough for Max to escape. He opened a portal from a distance and ran towards it, calling out to his friends.
"THEY'RE TOO STRONG WE HAVE TO REGROUP!" Max yelled before jumping into the portal
Maya and DJ got a hold of their barrings and painfully marched over to where the portal was.
Chasm looked over to where Donnie and Bonnie were standing and yelled out towards them. "Don't just stand there. This is your chance!"
Both twins nodded and they ran just in time to catch the portal before it closed.
The Rangers, now demorphed and still in pain after that short battle, walked down the dark, narrow hallway towards the dojo.
"What is up with those two?" DJ asked with haste.
Maya shook her head. "I have no idea. How could this be possible? Is this even happening?" She asked as they entered the dojo.
"I don't know but-" Max stopped in between his sentence as they entered. They found out that the two Rangers have managed to catch up to them and were in the dojo at this very moment.
The three held up their defensive stances as the White and Green Rangers had apprehended Sensei. Normally, Uni would be able to battle against anyone, even morphed Power Rangers, as he was just as good as a Karate Master as Po himself. However, he knew that if he were to make any maneuvers, these Rangers would react and it would cause his students to be at risk of being hurt or even worse, destroyed. So he had to keep calm during this brief interrogation.
"What are you doing here?" Max asked, his glare becoming more serious by the second.
The White and Green Rangers demorphed and sure enough, Bonnie and Donnie stood before them, not letting go of Uni.
The three Rangers stood up straight as they stared at the two apprehenders. Bonnie gave Maya a stern glare, which she returned with the same amount of fury. Donnie gave DJ a smug look, causing the Blue Ranger to growl under his breath.
Donnie chuckled. "I am sure you are wondering how we got the White and Green Gems?"
"No, what we are wondering is why you are working with our archenemy?" Maya corrected.
"Well, let's just say it has something to down with this old man right here," Bonnie spoke.
"What do you guys have with our Sensei?" DJ asked.
Donnie chuckled. "Oh, well I guess Uni here has not told you."
"Told us what?" Max asked, giving Uni a knowing look. Uni still kept the unreadable expression on his face. He didn't want the secret to being revealed but he knew it was a matter of time before the beans are spilled.
"Maya, remember how I told you about my parents' deaths?" Bonnie asked.
Maya's eyes widened. "Yeah, but...what does that have to do with us?"
"Fine, to avoid the long explanation, I'll just get right to the chase. Mr. Nakamura here is responsible for our parents' deaths!"
All three Rangers gasp in disbelief. This all intently stared at Uni, hoping to God himself that Bonnie was just kidding.
"Sensei..." Max spoke up.
DJ clenched his fists and glared at the twins. "If you guys hurt him, we will hunt you down." He threatened, grinding his teeth, nearly damaging the brackets of his recently tightened braces.
Donnie then lunged the Karate Master at the Rangers. Max managed to catch Uni as the Green Ranger spoke with a smirk. "Good luck, Rangers. It was a pleasure knowing you. We have what we want."
With that, a huge gush of smoke erupted below the twins, teleporting them to the unknown. The Rangers looked at one another, all of them were still at awe as to what had just occurred, and what they had just heard from the twins.
"Sensei?" Max spoke concerningly as their teacher walked forward towards where the twins disappeared from.
Max took a few cautious steps forward. "Is everything ok?"
Uni took a deep breath before turning to face his students. "My daughter..." he whispered. "Those two took my precious daughter."
To be continued...
