New Friends Part Three

Deep in the forest, Ellie had her hands cuffed behind her back with a static bar that struck her every time she struggled to break free. Her captives, none other than Bonnie and Donnie, escorted her through the forest towards a nearby cave, where they planned a full-fledged execution to get revenge on Uni.

Ellie grunted as Donnie pulled her right arm so that she could continue to move forward, with Bonnie following close behind the two.

"You guys are making a huge mistake," Ellie cried. "Can't you guys see Po is using you guys?"

Donnie scoffed. "Po did us a favor. He revealed to us what you wretched father had done to our parents."

Ellie was baffled by what this boy was saying. "You believe a being as twisted as Po when he tells you that my father had murdered your parents."

Bonnie caught up with them and made eye contact with Ellie. "We were ten years old when the entire situation occurred. Po brought us to safety after we found our parents' bodies near where your father was. He has destroyed the ones we loved, so we are going to destroy someone he holds dear."

Ellie was frightened by this. Her brows furrowed as he thought about breaking free and running away, but these bounds were doing their work.

Meanwhile, in the dojo, Uni had sat the Rangers down at the table after they have all come to terms with the fact that Ellie had been kidnapped.

DJ shook his head. "I can't believe this. Sensei, what do you have to do with their parents? Why do they hate you? What have you done?"

Uni looked up at DJ, whose facial expression demanded answered, and considering the stern looks Maya and Max were also giving him, he knew he needed to make things clear.

"Rangers," he began, "a while ago, for just a brief moment, Po managed to break free from imprisonment. Once I found out, I chased him through town. I realized that the twins' parents, who I was great friends with, and I have known the two twins since they were very young, we're at the house Po was targeting. We both barged in through the window of the room Douglas and Brianna Reef, the twins' parents, were both sleeping in and they panicked. Po and I battled and for a brief moment, I was down on the ground. Po then turned his attention towards Douglas and Brianna and shot beams of electrical energy at them, instantly ending their lives."

The rangers were shocked that they kept quiet as Uni finished after taking a deep breath.

"After which, the twins, who were both waken up by the ruckus that was occurring, entered the room only to find their parents dead on the bedroom floor. Po managed to escape before the twins entered so they both implied that it was me that killed their parents, and they screamed and ran away. Po managed to catch up to them and have brainwashed them into believing it was I who have wiped out their parents. I manage to send Po back to Kartae where he came from and the twins have been sent to live with another relative. They have been living with their aunt for many years, but now that Po has returned, he may have been able to reconnect with the two, which may explain how they have returned."

"But...how did they get the Gems?" DJ asked with haste in his voice.

Uni sighed. "Before I have given you guys the gems, I realized two of them were missing. There is no other person who could have broken into the box other than Po. He must have only taken the two he needed to grant the twins their Ranger powers."

Maya nodded her head as she fully understood what they had to do. "What can we do now?" She asked, shrugging her shoulders.

Uni looked up at all three rangers and stood up. "You must find my daughter first, and if you can, try your best to reach out to the twins. They are not truly evil. They have just been tricked by Po himself. If you can, try to get them to understand the real truth behind their parents' deaths."

Max stood up and nodded his head. "Sensei, we understand clearly. We are just glad that you would never be responsible for the cold-blooded murder of two innocent Karate Masters."

Uni smiled and nodded his head. Just then, the alarm rang. Uni immediately stood up and rushed over to Ellie's computer to look up where the disturbance is coming from.

After pulling out the map, Uni has located the disturbance. He glanced over at the rangers, who were all standing up and giving him curious expressions on their faces.

Uni spoke. "Get to the woods outside the DJ's culdesac. Be careful! There are Karadracs!"

Max narrowed his eyes and nodded. He pulled out his Gem and spoke to his friends. "Ready?"

Both Maya and DJ pulled out their Gems and spoke. "Ready!" The three slapped the top of their Gems, lighting them up.

"Call into combat!"

The twins have now taken their hostage into a cave at the northwest end of the woods. As this was going on, a dozen karadracs guarded the entrance of the cave as the rangers appeared.

Max stood in the middle, wagging his finger at the foot soldiers, shaking his head. "I don't know about you guys, but I am getting quite bored of these creeps."

Maya and DJ both chuckled before the karadracs charged at them. The three rangers pulled out the kendo blades and began battling their enemies.

Meanwhile, deep into the dark cave which was lit up just dimly by a torch that was hanging by the wall, Donnie and Bonnie had Ellie face-first onto the floor as Donnie raised the Crystal of Souls Po had given him to eliminate Uni's daughter once and for all.

However, Donnie became hesitant. He knew what he was doing was justifiable right? Uni murdered two of his long ones, so it was fain to murder his daughter as payback for destroying his and Bonnie's parents. There was still a twinge of guilt as to what he was doing

Bonnie glance at her brother and spoke. "What's the holdup?" she asked with her hands on her hips. "Destroy her!" She then barked.

Donnie's palms were shaking. "I don't think I can…" he mumbled. Bonnie then groaned as she snatched the Crystal from her brother's hand so that she could finish the job herself. She glared down at &Ellie, whip turn so that she could face the two twins, and was now trembling with fear. Bonnie raised the Crystal over her head to finish Ellie off once and for all when suddenly a voice hollered.

"STOP!"

The three turned their heads to see the three rangers now demorphed after having dealt with the karadracs.

"Don't do this!" Max pleaded. "There was a misunderstanding!"

"What is there now to understand?" Bonnie fired back. "You sensei destroyed our mom and dad, now it is time to destroy someone he cared for!

"But…" Max began before a voice from the unknown called out.

"Put down the crystal, Bonnie!"

The six teenagers in the cave looked around, confused as to who said that last answer was revealed when two spirits appeared to the right where Maya was standing.

Bonnie and Donnie were in such a case of shock looking at the two spirits who hovered just slightly over the ground. they were both wearing robes that were as white as snow. The spirit on the right resembled a man who had blond care, but green eyes just like the twins. The spirit on the left resembled a woman who resembled the twins by her long and curly amber hair.

Bonnie dropped the crystal as she slowly took a few steps forward. "M-mom?"

Donnie took a few steps until he was directly next to his sister, not taking his eyes off of the spirits. "D-dad?"

Their father, Douglas Reef, smiled at them. "Hello children, and might I say it is a pleasure to see how much you two have grown."

Maya, Max, and DJ were all silent as they motioned Ellie to get up on her feet and walk towards them, which she obeyed with no hesitation. She limped towards Maya, who embraced her tightly to comfort her.

Donnie cracked a smile. "I can't believe you guys are here."

Their mother, Brianna, chuckled. "Sweetie, we have always been here, we just decided to make ourselves visible to stop you from making a mistake."

"What do you mean?" Bonnie asked. "Getting revenge on Mr. Nakamura after what he had done to you guys?"

Douglas shook and spoke calmly to his daughter. "No sweetheart. Ellie's father is not responsible for what happened to us."

Donnie's eyes widened with disbelief. "Then who is?"

Brianna took a deep breath before answering her son's question. "The one they call Po."

Bonnie gasp as Donnie just stared blankly at his parents. Both twins didn't know what to think. The creature who they had trusted this whole time was the one responsible for the deaths of their parents.

Just then, their parents started to fade away.

Bonnie gasp. "No, don't leave!"

Brianna shushed her daughter to calm her nerves. "Honey, don't worry, we will be by your side for eternity, as well as your brother's."

Douglas looked over at his son. "Donald, look after yourself and be the man I have raised you to be. Never leave your sister's side as well."

Donnie felt tears run down his cheek as he spoke. "Yes, dad…"

"Goodbye, our precious gifts from above…" Brianna waved goodbye before she and her husband completely faded away, leaving their children motionless, unable to speak.

Max gulped and, with slight hesitation, approached the two. He nudged Donnie's shoulder and spoke. "Are you guys, okay?"

Donnie did not answer. He just looked up at Max with an expressionless look on his face. Max could see under that look that there was nothing but guilt and disbelief hidden inside Donnie's emotions.

Max sighed. "Dude, I suggest you and your sister come with us."

Donnie, thankfully, did not protest, as Max opened up a portal at the cave's exit. After DJ walked through with Ellie, holding her hand, Maya nudged Bonnie to follow her through. Once both girls went through the portal, Donnie followed close behind Max as the two walked through the portal and into the dojo.

Po paced around his dark lair feeling rather furious after the news soon broke out about the twins' discovery that he was responsible for the deaths of their parents. He had everything in order. He would have finally destroyed Uni's family, along with the link to all the rangers' weapons, as Ellie herself was responsible for the development of the rangers' weapons and zords.

He knew if he couldn't control the Green and White Rangers, he might as well take them out along with the other three.

"Cardinor!" He called for another one of his henchmen. A figure flew from above and landed on its feet in front of Po. This humanitor wore a black cape that he would stretch out and use as his wing so he could levitate and fly high above the ground. He was pale skin with pupilless green eyes, along with a large yellow beak covering the bottom half of his face. Lastly, black feathers were covering the top of his head to the back of his neck.

He knelt in solitude towards his master. "Yes, sire." He responded in his scratchy, bird-like voice.

Po snickered. "Head out towards town and finish all five of the Rangers!"

Cardinor let out a squawk before responding, nodding his head. "Yes, sire."

Back in Karate Operations, Donnie and Bonnie sat at the Japanese table. Bonnie had her face in her hands in shame, while Donnie had his arms crossed looking rather grumpy.

Ellie sat at her computer, turning her chair towards where the twins sat with Max in the middle. DJ and Maya stood next to Ellie as they watched their friend attempt to appeal to the twins.

Uni approached Max and the twins, carrying his kendo stick as a cane, giving Max a nod of approval. Max spoke up, putting a comforting hand on Bonnie's shoulder. "Guys, I know that this may be difficult to digest, but my friends and I have been battling Po's monsters for weeks now and I can honestly say, we could use some help."

Donnie looked up with a sad expression on his face. "Why would you want us to be a part of your team after we almost murdered your friend?"

Bonnie sighed. "I just feel like a total fool..."

Max scratched the back of his neck. "Now, I wouldn't refer to Ellie as a friend..."

"HEY!" Ellie exclaimed, crossing her arms and glaring at Max.

Max chuckled. "I'm just kidding." He then frowned. "However, I am serious. You guys are not fools. You guys were just brainwashed, and that is understandable, but now we are having difficulty battling the Humanitors, and we could use some help."

Bonnie looked up at Max and shrugged her shoulders. "Why should we join?"

Max glanced over at her and spoke with a winning grin. "Because that is your destiny. Your parents were once Karate Masters, and of course, if you would use your Karate skills to save the world, they would be proud of you." He then glanced over at Donnie, who gave him a hopeful smile. "You guys are perfect for our team. Based on what you guys have learned, we can guarantee that you guys have your hearts in the right place. Now it is time to put it to the test."

Maya and DJ walked over to the three. Maya smiled as she spoke to the twins. "If you guys would like to join our team, then I would have no problem."

DJ smirked and crossed his arms. "Me neither. We could use some help."

Max stood up and walked over, standing in between his friends. He then turned so that he was facing the twins and spoke, holding his hand out. "So, are you guys in?"

Donnie glanced over at his sister, who thought for a moment before giving him a smile of approval. Donnie smiled back before getting up on his feet and walking over to where Max was standing. He shook Max's hand strongly and spoke. "We're in."

Uni cleared his throat, which got the attention of the five rangers. He glanced over at Bonnie and Donnie and spoke. "I may protest against having you on this team, but seeing how you have had some experience with karate, I will do the honor of welcoming you on this team." He smiled as he walked over to where Bonnie was. She stood up as he shook her hand. "Bonnie, with the patience and tolerance of a polar bear, you shall fulfill your duty at the White Ranger." He then walked over and put a hand on Donnie's shoulder. "Donnie, with the alertness of a bat, you shall command the powers of the Green Ranger. You and your sister shall make your parents proud. Congratulations, you are now a part of the team of rangers. But don't get too excited." He spoke sternly. "You shall make frequent visits to this dojo for training exercises like Maxwell, Dean-Jamal, and Maya."

Donnie frowned and groaned, glancing over at Max. "Please tell me he is joking."

Max chuckled and shook his head. Just as Donnie was going to protest, the alarm rang, signaling a disturbance in the city.

Ellie turned her chair towards her monitor and began to look up where the disturbance was coming from. Once she managed to capture the location, she groaned. "A Humanitor is attacking the same parking garage you guys were at earlier."

Max nodded his head. "Alright, guys. Let's go!"

Donnie and Bonnie gave excited grins as they stood by their new friends. The five rangers stood side-by-side. From left to right, Bonnie, DJ, Max, Maya, and Donnie pulled out their Gems and raised their hands high.

"Ready?" Max asked.

"Ready!" The other four replied.

"Call into Combat!" They all cried before slamming the top of their Gems, causing them to activate.

Red, Blue, Yellow, White, and Green winds began flowing around the Rangers. Once the winds diminished, the Rangers were seen in their suits. Their respective Spirit Animals then came up behind them, their jaws help to form the Rangers' helmets.

Donnie hissed as he held up the pose of a bat. "Power Light!" He called out, the sun's rays beaming behind him.

Maya knelt, forming her cheetah pose. "Power Earth!" She called out, dust exploding behind her.

Max stretched his arms out wide, resembling himself as an eagle. "Power Air!" He called out, powerful winds blowing behind him.

DJ knelt and used his arms to resemble himself as a shark. "Power Water!" He called, waves erupting behind him.

Lastly, Bonnie had her hands resemble themselves as a bear's paws as she called out. "Power Ice!" A blizzard happening behind her.
