New Friends Part Four
In the dim-lit parking garage of the town's mall, people screamed and scattered as Po's latest servant, Cardinor, unleashed his attack with his own squad of Karadracs.
As the Karadracs were busy terrorizing the civilians, Cardinor flew from vehicle to vehicle, slashing them into pieces with his sharp and powerful talons.
He laughed and squawked as he noticed more humans were evacuating the area. "What?! Come on! We're just having a little fun here!"
The entire parking garage was now filled with nothing but wreckage as the Karadracs gathered around Cardinor. He squawked once more before speaking out. "I wonder what's taking those Rangers so long!" He cackled. "I bet they're too scared to face us!"
"Think again!" A voice called out near the entrance of the garage. Cardinor and his Karadracs turned to see the main three Rangers standing before them.
He cackled as he spoke. "I'd expecting to see more than just you pipsqueaks." He cackled once more before he became stunned as two figures walked up from behind the rangers. Bonnie stood between Max and DJ, while Donnie stood between Max and Maya.
All 5 rangers had stood fiercely as Cardinor growled. "I was wondering where you traitors have gone."
Bonnie called out, balling her fists. "You might as well call Po a true traitor!"
"And a liar!" Donnie added.
"Well, it doesn't matter once you are destroyed." Cardinor then cackled. "Karadracs, attack!"
The large swarm of Karadracs charged at the rangers. Max and his two closest friends pulled out their blades, while the twins pulled out their staffs as they all began battling the Karadracs.
Maya had her back against the wall of the adjacent side of the garage as she with a few foot soldiers that cornered her. She held her blade as she slashed a few that tried to strike her, but it was clear that she was heavily outnumbered. That is until a voice called out.
"You need a hand?" Just then, green blasts were being shot at each of the opposing Karadracs, causing them to shriek and drop like flies.
Maya turned to his right and saw Donnie standing with an ancient green bow in his right hand. Maya approached her new friend and patted Donnie's back. "Thanks, Donald."
Donnie shook his head. "It's no problem." Just then, more Karadracs charged at them, but both teens were ready as they fought back, easily taking each of them down.
Meanwhile, Bonnie used her powers to transform her staff into a longer, mighty white lance as she noticed a few Karadracs that were easily overpowering the Blue Ranger as he was held against the front of a parked Jeep.
She screeched as she charged at them, pointing her lance forward like she was jousting. The Karadracs that were attacking her Blue friend screeched as they felt her thin but powerful weapon.
Once they were all taken down, she rushed over to DJ to help him up on his feet. "You okay?"
DJ nodded and took a deep breath out. "Yeah, thanks to you.
They then turned their head towards the center of the parking garage, where they noticed Cardinor overpowering Max. The two clashed with their blades, with Cardinor's being longer and with him also being armed with his sharp talons, which he used to strike Max across his chest, sending him backward.
Max landed on his behind him and grunted, cursing underneath his breath before his friends came along.
"Max!" DJ called out as he helped his friend up to his feet. "You alright?"
Max nodded. "Yeah, better than he is going to be."
The five rangers held their stances as Cardinor cackled. "I haven't even begun to fight. How about a little whiff of my toxic tornado, you teenage brat!" He held his arms out as his dark wings extended. He began to flap them back and forth faster and faster as it began to develop winds that were strong enough to reach the rangers from a distance.
The Rangers were stunned by the strong winds and felt themselves being blown away. Cardinor took this as an opportunity and shot green beams from his forehead towards the Rangers.
All the Rangers yelped at the beams that struck each of them. Once their bodies collapsed onto the floor, they groaned in pain.
Cardinor flew quickly towards them as Bonnie managed to get up on her feet. Despite still being affected by the monster's recent attack, she still kept her fierce spirit as she pulled out her staff. "Alright, bird brain, now it's our turn!"
Donnie hopped onto his feet and stood next to his sister. "Right!" The two twins held their staffs upwards as they began to lighten up.
"Kendo Staffs, power up!" They called out as their staff became brighter and changed into their respective colors.
Cardinor soon became intimidated but decided to stick to his ego. He squawked as he mocked again. "You think that sticks scare me!" He cackled as Bonnie and Donnie charged at him.
Bonnie charged forward as Cardinor prepared to strike her with his blade, but Bonnie dodge his attack but struck his abdomen with her staff. "Frost Bite!" She called out, her staff slashing Cardinor with a bright light of white energy.
Cardinor was weakened and in pain, but then Donnie suddenly ran past him, but not before striking him across the chest. "Shimmering Ray!'
Cardinor screeched as he felt his insides burning up from the two separate attacks. DJ, Max, and Maya appeared from a distance with the Combat Cannon already settled.
They were about to fire when the twins reached up to them. "Wait," Donnie held his hand up to stop them. "You might need some power."
The three rangers did not hesitate to react as Donnie inserted his bow through the barrel of the cannon, and Bonnie connected her lance through Max's shield, causing the cannon to shine brightly in reaction to the extra Power.
Max held the blaster with Maya offering support from the left, and Bonnie offering support from the right, both girls putting one of their hands-on Max's shoulders, while the other hand gripping the blaster from the bottom.
DJ and Donnie knelt down in the front of the gun in order to aim the cannon towards Cardinor, who screeched as he realized his fate.
He squawked once more in pure defeat as the Rangers called out. "Combat Cannon! Fire!" With that, Max pulled the trigger, resulting in a large black ball of energy shooting out from the cannon and towards Cardinor.
Cardinor cried out as the blast struck him. The rangers cheered as Cardinor collapsed onto the ground and erupted.
The rangers disassembled their weapons and cheered. Completely unaware of what was to occur.
"Sky!" Po called out as he opened up a portal that led to the parking garage, where the rangers had just defeated another one of his soldiers.
Sky groaned as she approached her brother. "Yes, Po."
Po turned towards his sister and spoke. "Is the Hydro-fertilizer ready?
Sky nodded. "Yes, brother."
Po snickered. "Let's give that bird brain a second chance." He spoke coldly, clenching his biceps that hid underneath his newly acquired black robe that he wore to signify his mighty level in the art of Karate.
Sky smirked as she folded out her to form the chemical substance that is used to bring Humaniotrs a second life, but this time in a much bigger form. A small ball of aquatic energy formed in her hands, and she then launched it to the portal.
The rangers cheered as they took their helmets off.
Donnie stood next to her sister as he smiled at Max, DJ, and Maya. "That was wicked! I can't believe we are actually superheroes!"
Max chuckled. "Yes, and I may say, you guys failed to disappoint me."
Bonnie blushed and gave Max a playful shove. "Oh, stop it. It was nothing..."
"No, we are serious. You guys are awesome!" Maya exclaimed with a grin.
"Yeah, even I have to admit it," DJ spoke.
"I guess we can all celebrate once we are at the dojo," Donnie said with a winning grin, but then frowned as he noticed the fierce look on Max's face.
He pointed his finger at where Cardinor was destroyed. "I guess celebrating is going to have to wait." The other four rangers looked over to where Max was pointing at and were stunned to see a portal open from against the wall and a clear liquid pouring out of it towards where Cardinor erupted. The water took out the flames, but then a figure began to grow ginormously from the spot. It turned out to be Cardinor, and he was brought back to life in a much bigger form, so big that it had destroyed the roof of the garage.
Cardinor cackled as he looked down at the microscopic rangers. "I'M HUNGRY!" He yelled.
DJ looked up with horror. "Oh, come on!"
"Don't worry," Max reassured before speaking into his radio. "Ellie, we need the zords!"
"You got it!" Ellie spoke from the other line. The zords traveled towards the rangers. Max, Maya, and DJ all reapplied their helmet and hopped into their zords, which all formed into the Great Martial Megazord.
The three Rangers were stationed in their conjoined cockpit as Max spoke up. "Okay, let's take this Arizona Cardinal down!"
DJ laughed. "You know, the Panthers are really kicking their butts!"
Max chuckled as he fist-bumped his friend. "I know, but-"
"Focus, gentlemen!" Maya interrupted.
Max then turned his attention towards the visor of the Megazord's cockpit. They noticed Cardinor was getting situated for a fight.
Cardinor flapped his wings, causing winds to blow towards the Megazord.
"Hold steady!" Max called out as he felt his controls becoming stiff and difficult to manage. Just before they could get a hold of their Megazord, Cardinor shot beams towards the large robot, striking many of its parts.
The inside of the cockpit began to go haywire as lights flickered and sparks began to fly due to the Megazord was being dominated against this bird-like monster. The Rangers struggled to get a hold of themselves, and from a distance, Donnie and Bonnie began to notice their friends were in immediate danger.
"We need to help!" Bonnie exclaimed, glancing over at her brother. Donnie nodded and spoke through his radio. "Ellie? Ellie, do you copy?"
"Yes, I hear you!" Ellie replied.
"You can see the three getting their butts kicked, right?"
Ellie groaned as she spoke. "Say no more. The Bat and Bear Zords are on their way!"
Donnie and Bonnie looked excitedly at one another as they put their helmets back onto their heads. They looked up at the sun and noticed a large, bat-like robot flying towards where Cardinor stood, approaching the fallen Megazord with his blade. Before he could strike them, the Bat Zord flew past and struck him, hurling him backward and landing on his back.
"Ow, what's the big deal?" He exclaimed before letting out a pained squawk.
Donnie cheered before jumping high and towards the Bat Zord. He entered his cockpit and took examined the control. He was fascinated by the rather advanced-looking technologies.
Bonnie looked over towards a huge dam that was nearby and noticed a large, white, bear-like robot roaring. She smiled with excitement as she knew that was her Zord.
She jumped and teleported into her cockpit. "Let the games begin!" She called out through her communicator for her friends to hear.
"Combine with us!" Max spoke through his radio as the Megazord managed to get back onto its feet.
"Got it!" Both Bonnie and Donnie replied. The Bat Zord contracted his head and reeled it back into its body. Its wings extended before conjoining with the Megazord's back.
The Megazord's right arm was contracted back into the Megazord's insides. The Polar Bear Zord then took over the empty space as its entire body stood upwards as its four legs were contracted and its head was stretched for a black, metal hand to crawl out of it. The bear then flipped downwards to that the bottom to connect with the Megazord's right numb, finishing the combination.
The cockpit now contained all five rangers, with Donnie being situated to Maya's left, and Bonnie sitting at DJ's right. Max, being in the middle, spoke up. "Alright, the welcome party is over! Let's finish this guy!"
Cardinor was on his feet as he cackled. "You really think some fancy new formation will stop me! I will destroy you and your miserable planet! This world will be ours soon!"
With that, he stretched his wings and flew upwards.
"Enough of this!" Max yelled before pushing a gold button a the right end corner of his controls. "Activate the Kendo Blade."
The lighting began striking near the right hand of the Megazord, forming a blade that is similar to what the rangers use in battle, but this time is a much more gigantic version for the Megazord.
As Cardinor flew towards the, their blade began to lighten up as power surged through it.
The Rangers all raised their left hands before calling out for their finishing move. "Martial Strike!' They spoke as they made synchronized karate chops, which urged the Megazord to reflect their chops with its blade. Its final slash struck Cardinor, causing him to screech as sparks began to fly out from his insides.
He collapsed onto the street floor a fair distance to where the Megazord was standing. He stood up but then felt his insides flare-up. "I thought I was no chicken to fight you Rangers!" He yelled before crying out in pain and erupting in flames.
The Five Rangers jumped from their seats and cheered, giving one another high-fives. It was truly a day of pure victory. Not only have the Power Rangers defeated yet another monster, but now there are two new faces joining the team, making the battle against the Humanitors much easier.
After the fight with the Humanitor, the five rangers walk through the sandy beach as the sunset. Max, DJ, and Maya joked around while the twins lagged behind.
Bonnie glanced over as she the downward expression on her brother's face. "Donnie, what's wrong?"
Donnie looked up at her with sad eyes. "What isn't wrong? We were lied to for months now. How could those Rangers forgive us for what we almost did?"
Bonnie smiled and caressed her brother's cheek. "Because they are heroes, and they knew we were never evil, and we will never be. Listen, mom and dad will surely be proud of what we are doing, as well as the fact that we have just moved to this town and we have already made three wonderful friends. We just have to learn from our mistakes and move forward to our bright future as heroes."
Donnie gave his sister a thankful smile, then glanced over as he noticed Maya walking up to them.
"Hey guys, Max and DJ are going at it in the water. Wanna join them?"
Donnie nodded excitedly before he ran past the two girls and towards the lake, where Max and DJ were already splashing water at each other, and things only got crazier when their new friend joined them.
Maya and Bonnie both chuckled at how silly the boys were being. Maya then put an arm around her friend's shoulder and spoke. "Welcome to the team..."
Bonnie smiled. "Thank you. United We Stand." She spoke, holding her hand out.
Maya shook it and giggled. "Divided we fall."
There, done with this episode! Now I can continue to make episodes featuring not three rangers, but five rangers now!
As you can tell, Cardinor was inspired by the Peckster from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. In fact, I intended on making his voice sound exactly the same as the Peckster, along a little deeper.
Anyway, I have an interesting plot coming up involving Maya, and let's just say it's going to be quite emotional.
