My Hero Part Two

Bonnie has been trying desperately to reach out to Maya. The day following their run-in with that Humanitor, Maya has been reluctant to speak to pretty much anybody. That faithful Sunday, Bonnie had woken up and dressed up to head to Maya's house. She called Max and was relieved to hear that he was feeling much better than he was the previous day. So much so that he agreed to accompany Bonnie on her way to speak to Maya.

As the two walked side-by-side towards Maya's home, Max spoke up with his arms crossed. "So, what exactly did this monster look like?" He asked with his eyebrow raised.

Bonnie scratched her chin. "Well, his face was red and his expression resembled that of an angry person's face."

"How so?" Max asked. He was even more puzzled by Bonnie's answer.

"Well, his face reminded me of that emoji you see on your phone, except that his eye was completely black."

As they approached Maya's front door, they were startled to hear loud yells emanating from the inside. Sounded as if two female figures were arguing, and the older one was sounding more upset and heartbroken.

"GO AWAY, MOM!" Maya's voice yelled loud enough for the Red and White Rangers to hear from the outside. They could then hear Adana, Maya's mother, speak incomprehensibly in Spanish. Both of them knew little Spanish, but they weren't stupid enough to not tell that Ms. Garcia was extremely upset.

Max winced as the voices grew louder, and simply gave Bonnie the look that practically yelled 'let's get out of here, to which Bonnie caved in with no hesitation. They simply walked away, hoping that Maya's mood would lighten up a bit, if only they knew the fate of the Rangers that would come up in the next few days.

Later that Sunday, Donnie and DJ's martial arts team have just returned to town, and with Donnie's aunt's permission, the two were allowed to hang out at DJ's house for the day. Donnie had just met DJ's father just a few days after he joined the Power Rangers, and DJ had made it clear that his father has no idea that he is a Power Ranger, so he should try to make himself look as oblivious as he can so that Monroe would have no clue that DJ and his friends are the true protectors of the planet.

The boys wore black shorts and basketball tees that matched their respective colors before heading off to the basketball court near DJ's neighborhood to simply some hoops.

DJ had his back turned as he dribbled the ball. Donnie was ready to swipe it as DJ turned and charged over towards the hoops. Before Donnie could stop him, he felt a splash of hot water hit his face. He shrieked for a moment but then turned to see DJ deliver a slam dunk.

"OOOOHH!" DJ hollered with his hands high up in the air. "SLAM DUNK BABY! Next stop, THE PLAYOFFS!"

Donnie narrowed his eyes as he wiped some water off of his face. "That's cheating! You can use your powers outside of combat! Didn't you hear what Sensei said?" Donnie asked his hands on his hips.

"Oh come on, it was just a little water. Aw, did Donnie Wonnie not wike getting wet?" DJ mocked with a puppy pout.

Donnie glared at him for a moment before giving an evil smirk. "Take fast!" He yelled. DJ shrieked as he felt Donnie launch a huge flash of light towards his face, blinding him. DJ blinked repeatedly before grinding his teeth and grunting.

"Fine, we are even..." He muttered. "Round two?"

Donnie chuckled before nodding his head. "Yeah." However, just as DJ turned to get the basketball, a voice was heard just a few feet behind Donnie that startled both boys.

"Hola, mi amigos!" Donnie and DJ both turned and put on their fighting stance. They backed up as the Humanitor, none other than Angorio, appeared before them.

"Who are you?" DJ asked coldly.

"I will be no problemo at all. I am simply on my way, but first..." he cackled as he used his ray gun to blast both Donnie and DJ, stunning both of them, before teleporting away.

Just after the monster left, the two boys felt the effects of Angorio's spell, and they both glanced at one another.

Donnie spoke, wagging a finger at DJ. "Splash water at my face again, and I will do more than just turn you blind."

DJ growled as he slapped Donnie's finger away. "Keep you booger-picking, disgusting finger away from me, Donnie."

"I don't know why I even bother coming out with you. I got business to attend to with my obnoxious aunt." Donnie spoke before walking away.

DJ called out. "Obnoxious? Well, at least you don't have a parent that is always on your behind, jerk!"

Bonnie went home, only to find her aunt outside the room she and her brother shared. According to her Aunt Rachel, Donnie had come home feeling rather pissy, which immediately alarmed Bonnie, as the way her aunt was describing Donnie's behavior, with his bickering and yelling, was the exact symptoms she recognized from Maya after the girls' encounter with Angorio. She just hoped that Donnie was not acting like this because of a spell.

She then entered her room, only to feel her communicator beep.

She shut her room door before holding up her wrist. "Hello?"

"Hey, Bonnie," Ellie spoke sweetly.

Bonnie smiled. "Hey, Ellie. How can I help you?"

"Um, my dad has noticed some odd behavior from Maya, Donnie, and Deej. He wants the five of you Rangers at the dojo tonight."

Bonnie sighed. "I'll be there."

Max and Bonnie stood side by side as they awkwardly watched their three friends bicker at the table, with Uni sitting across from them trying to keep his patience. The five rangers were in their Ranger color-coded Karate Uniform a Maya, DJ, Donnie couldn't stop fighting.

Maya pointed a finger at DJ's nose. "Maybe you and this green-eyed freak should think about taking showers after your MMA meets. You still smell like sweat."

Donnie scoffed. "At least I don't suck on stage. Your last speech was atrocious."

Maya snapped her head towards the Green Ranger and growled. "At least I'm not failing science, idiot!"

DJ rolled his eyes. "For once, I agree with you for Donnie being an idiot."

"SHUT UP, DADDY'S BOY!" Donnie shrieked.

They all stood and continued going at it with one another. That's when Uni had enough and stood up. He lunged at DJ and laid a hard strike to the chest, sending him to the ground before striking both Maya and Donnie by their feet, sending them falling face-first onto the table.

"Enough!" Uni spoke coldly before turning his attention to Max and Bonnie, who stood behind Ellie while she was on her monitor.

Uni approached his daughter. "Ellie, what have you figured out about the monster?"

After doing some research, Ellie finally found the right page. She fixed her newly obtained glasses and spoke. "His name is Angorio. He was born in Mexico City in the early 1900s but soon became a Humanitor later in his life. His main power comes from his ray, which he uses to cast a powerful aggression spell onto others, which increases the severity of their anger issues and aggression."

Bonnie glanced over at Max before speaking up. "Is there anything we could do to reverse the spell?"

Ellie looked up at her and answered. "The one thing we can do is snap the three out of it. You can always console someone if they are angry, but this may be difficult given the severity of Angorio's spell."

Both Max and Bonnie nodded before turning their attention to their bickering friends. Bonnie approached them and took a deep breath before speaking. "Maya, do you mind if I have a private conversation with you?"

Maya crossed her arms and glared at her. "Can't you see that I am not in the mood?" She spoke coldly, but her angry expression could pierce through Bonnie's patience.

"I know, that is why I want to speak with you," Bonnie replied. Out of all the rangers, Bonnie has presented herself as the most patient. She only showed her irritants once people would before the over her limit, which was rather difficult in it on its own, and Maya, despite being affected by Angorio's spell, reluctantly agreed and followed Bonnie to the dark backroom, where the walls were all made of black rocks.

Maya put her hands on her hips and spoke. "What do you need?"

"Ask yourself this. What have I done to you?" Bonnie asked, her arms crossed over her white suit.

Maya opened her mouth to answer but then was cut off as she couldn't answer her friend's question. Why was she acting this way? She felt perfectly fine before her fight with Angorio. What was bothering her? Sure, DJ and Donnie were both showing the effects of the spell, but hers felt much more severe, so what could be troubling her.

Maya's eyes then widen as she felt a huge surge of energy escape her body. Bonnie was shocked as black gas emanated away through Maya's skin. She then noticed the gas was the same shade of black as the beam Angorio shot at Maya, turning her aggressive.

Maya then took a deep breath as she felt her aggressiveness decrease. She looked up at Bonnie and smirked. "I feel a lot better now."

Bonnie grinned. "I guess the spell easily broke once I managed to get you out of your senses."

Maya then frowned and crossed her arms. "I'm still somewhat in a bad mood."

Bonnie frowned and raised an eyebrow. "How so?"

Maya just lowered her gaze. The image of the man she despised popped up in her mind, then she remembered how her last conversation with him ended.

Maya just sighed. "It's fine. I think this mood will cool off."

Bonnie wanted to argue, but she figured she should cut her friend some slack. It is not like Maya is going through a pleasant situation right now.

"Alright," Bonnie sighed. "Let's help the boys." Just as she said that the shouts from the other room became louder, causing both girls to wince.

Maya nodded her head. "Yeah, they may need it." They hurried into the room and were stunned by Donnie and DJ struggling to get their hands on one another, with Max in the middle trying to break the fight apart.

"Donnie!" Bonnie yelled.

Donnie turned towards his sister and brushed the dust off of his shirt. "What do you want?" He growled, but then his sister approached him with a stern glare on her face that caused Donnie's stern face to drop, especially when Bonnie struck him across the face.

He winced in pain and began rubbing his cheek.

"Are you insane?" Bonnie exclaimed. "So let me get this straight. Some monster shot you guys with some beam and you are going to let some stupid spell destroy your friendship with DJ." She then glanced over at DJ, whose face grew with concern when Bonnie turned her attention to him. "And you, for crying out loud, why are you fighting him? Did you lose a game of basketball? Both of you guys are idiots. You are fighting...FOR NO REASON!"

Donnie and DJ looked at one another and stunned expressions on their faces. Bonnie's face grew with satisfaction as she realized the familiar black gas emanating from both DJ and Donnie, signaling that the spell on them has been broken as well.

Bonnie looked back at Max and Maya, who both gave her winning smiles. She then turned and was joyed to see DJ and Donnie giving each other hard handshakes and bro hugs.

"Bros?" DJ spoke into Donnie's ear.

"Bros." Donnie, replied, pulling away.

Ellie stood next to Max and spoke. "I'm glad that's over with." She chuckled but then the alarm went off, catching the rangers off guard.

Ellie hopped on her computer and began to do some typing on Maps to figure out where the disturbance was coming from.

"Head to the North Side Common Area near the church." She told.

The Rangers lined up side by side and pulled out their newly updated morphers. "Karate Force!" Max called out, pulling out this right wrist and pressing the center button on his red morphing bracelet. The other rangers did the same and the 5 pointed their fists forward and called out. "Call into Combat!"

Angorio was scaring away many of the civilians, shooting red blasts near them. Adults screamed, children, scattered, and the teens were simply pulling out their phones to capture the moment while also running for their lives.

Angorio cackled. "Adios, muchachos! I just love to cause muy chaos!" He laughed before he felt something strike him. Like an energy blast that sent him to the ground. He winced in pain before getting up to his feet, smoke emanating from his body after the impact of the blast. He turned to see the Yellow Ranger at a distance, her Bow Gun in hand.

"Oh, so it is you," Angorio growled. Maya smirked underneath her Ranger helmet as she replied.

"Yeah, and I did not come alone." She laughed. Angorio was wondering what she meant but then heard rapid footsteps coming behind him. He turned but then shrieked as the Blue and White Rangers used their ax and lance and strike Angorio at his abdomen, causing him to shriek.

He then turned to see all five rangers standing information in front of him. He spoke hysterically. "How haven't you kids destroyed each other yet? I cast a spell upon you."

"Yeah, and it backfired!" DJ spat out. "We are not angry with each other."

"We're just angry with you, red-face creep!" Bonnie insulted. She glanced over to her left and called out to her friends. "Let's combine our weapons!"

"Right!" The other replied. Soon enough, they combined their weapons into the Combat Cannon. Max narrowed his eyes through his helmet as the monster began charging at them, but soon after Max pulled the trigger, causing the cannon to shoot towards the monster.

Angorio screeched as the blast struck him. "Mama Mia! Esto es malo!" He yelled before erupting into a mass explosion that practically covered a good portion of the common, but at least not close enough to reach the Rangers.

"SKY!" Po called out. He was furious after watching Angorio get defeated.

Sky groaned as she spoke. "Say no more, brother. Hydro-fertilizer, activate!" She spoke, forming the righteous aquatic ball between her hands before throwing it through a portal towards Earth.

The Rangers were alarmed as the infamous fertilizer spread over to where Angorio erupted, reviving him and enlarging him.

Angorio cackled as he looked down at the Rangers. "Hola, Rangers!"

"Oh, this guy got me peeved!" Max spoke before speaking through his wrist. "Ellie hit it!"

With that, Ellie released the Zords. All five Zords came together to form the Megazord.

Once the Megazord formation was complete, all Rangers jumped into the conjoined cockpit. "Great Martial Megazord, ready!"

The Megazord charged at the monster, with its blade in hand. It attempted to strike, but Angorio caught the sword in mid-air. "No, no, no" He spoke, teasingly wagging his finger before hurling the blade from the Megazord's grip and backhanding the Megazord, causing it to fall to its feet.

The Rangers felt the cockpit tremor a bit and were immediately stunned by it. "Woah, hold steady!" Donnie called out.

"Don't worry, it's not like that sword was our only weapon," Max spoke before glancing over at DJ. "Deej hit it!"

"Right! Shark Zord, POWER UP!" DJ called out before pressing his accelerator with his foot.

"Hey, let me give you guys a boost!" Donnie offered. "Bat Zord, glide!" He spoke, pressing his accelerator. With that, the Bat Zord on the Megazord's back used the engines to levitate the Megazord high above Angorio, catching the monster off guard.

Angorio looked up and was stunned. "What is the meaning of it?!" He demanded, but then was stunned when he noticed the Shark Zord's teeth were lighting up and aiming at him. "Oh, Dios Mio..." he muttered.

"SHARK BITE!" The Rangers all called out. The Megazord charged downwards towards Angorio. The Shark Zord's electrifying teeth struck him, lightening up his insides.

Angorio cried as he felt sparks spew from his body. He then collapsed onto the ground and erupted, flames quickly extinguishing after he had exploded.

Po sat at his throne as his brother and sister were whispering to one another from a distance. He was beyond peeved at the moment that he felt like obliterating anybody that would come across him. He looked up at noticed his brother approach him.

Chasm cleared his throat. "Brother, I should inform you of some great news!" He spoke enthusiastically, which got Po's ear to pick up. "Buckateer, our faithful and powerful cousin, is coming."

With that, Po let out a huge burst of laughter at the sound of his cousin. Buckateer was notorious for his crimes within the Earth and Kartae, and he would be able to crush those Rangers once and for all.

"But before he comes, he wants us to do him a favor," Chasm added. "He wants us to find Karate Operations for him to plot and destroy.

Po smirked. "With pleasure. Tell him the party will begin before he even shows up." He spoke before cackling.

After school that following morning, Maya dropped all of her friends at their respective houses. The last of which was Donnie and Bonnie.

As Donnie exited the car, Bonnie glanced over from the passenger seat and saw that her friend was still down following the events of the monster battle and that run-in with General Gary.

"Maya, are you okay," the green-eyed girl asked with concern, putting a hand on Maya's shoulder. Maya then snapped out of her stupor and glanced over at her friend.

"Oh, me," she stuttered, "I-I'm fine."

Bonnie knew she should call Maya out for lying because she could tell that Maya was still not feeling it. But she just put a hand on her shoulder and smiled.

"Maya, look at where you are right now. You have no right to be upset right now."

"But, my dad-" Maya tried to explain but was interrupted.

"Do you really think your father would not be proud of the accomplishments you made at this point in your life?" Bonnie exclaimed. "Perfect 4.0 GPA, awards here and there for academics and speech, potential scholarships, student leader, the list can go on! Maya, your father is probably looking down at you and couldn't be more proud. You have done stuff that I wish I could have but couldn't because I never had the guys to. You have so much ahead of you and you have no right to be down about it."

Maya smiled and blushed a bit. "Thanks, Bonnie."

Bonnie caressed Maya's cheek and smiled back. "No problem, I'll see you tomorrow." She spoke exiting the car.

Maya took a deep breath as she pulled out of the driveway of the Reef Residence. She felt a little weight get off of her shoulder after that conversation with Bonnie. She figured she might as well live life and accomplish much more than she already has, just to make her father proud.

Then something came to mind. She sped all the way to the cemetery, ignoring the heavy winds that were coming, as it was mid-November.

She pulled up beside the place and exited her car. Walking inside the cemetery, she decided to take notes of what she was going to say once she made it to her father's gravestone.

She knew here the tombstone was exactly, but something caught her off-guard. A man stood in front of Diego Garcia's tombstone. A tall, built-looking individual with short blond hair and pale skin and was wearing a General's uniform stood in front of the gravestone with his hat in his hands.

Maya narrowed her eyes as she approached the man. "Gary?"

Gary turned and his eyes widened as he saw his late soldier's daughter standing before him.

Maya's expression was left blank as she spoke. "What are you doing here?"

Gary took a deep breath as he put his hat on. "I wanted to pay my respects to your father."

Maya was baffled for a moment. She wanted to scream 'Respect? You have absolutely no respect to the fallen, especially my own father!' However, she knew that would be a flawed and derogatory statement. This man was here for the general reason but to salute her father, and as much as Maya hated to say it, she had to respect that.

After a long pause, Maya let out a defeated sigh and looked up at the tall General. "Gary...I...I apologize for shunning you out the other day."

Gary shook his head. "No need. You had every right to be upset with me."

Maya rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I guess you deserved some reprimand for the stupid decision you made that cost my father his life, but I know your heart was in the right place."

Gary sighed and his gaze fell. "To tell you the truth, I was hesitant to send your father out there to defuse the bomb. But when I asked him to do so, it sounded more of a request and less of order, but without hesitation, he went on towards the bomb, and that is something I truly admired about your father. He never backed out from an order, or a dare even."

Maya chuckled. "That's who my father was."

"And I hear a lot about the great Maya Garcia and the many accomplishments she achieved. Student of the Year award, eh? Impressive. That spirit you obviously inhabited by your father, as well as those tiny freckles on your face." Gary smiled.

Maya chuckled again and held out her hand. "I'm glad we're cool now."

Gary raised an eyebrow. "A handshake?"

Maya scoffed before she held out her hands and embraced the soldier. Gary hugged her back and whispered into her ear.

"Your father would be proud of you, and there is no doubt about that."

Buckateer will be coming soon.

Also, if you are wondering what the cockpit of the Megazord looked like, it's like Dino Thunder's, but with seats and controls like Turbo.

Also, this new monster may do something very tragic to one of the Rangers.

Anyway, see you guys in the next episode. PLEASE REVIEW!
