Unlocking the Sacred Box Part One

"Why are you so obnoxious?!"

"I just wanted to use the bathroom to blow dry my hair!"

"That is so disgusting! Didn't you know that I was in the shower?"

"Yes, Donnie, but you were behind a curtain! It's not like I was taking pictures of you butt-naked!"

Having a brother or sister can have its ups, but there are no mistaken negatives of having another being in your household. A prime example is a dispute between the twins that occurred on a cool Saturday morning. The two were standing in their living room, with Bonnie still in her white sleepwear, and Donnie wearing nothing but a towel around his waist, with his hair and body still being drenched after just getting out of the shower, obviously being annoyed by his sister intruding on his privacy.

The two were chewing each other out with Bonnie trying to calmly explain how it wasn't much of a big deal, and Donnie accusing her of never respecting him in their house.

Donnie shook his head, rubbing his temple trying to keep his anger in check. "How about a new rule: don't come into the bathroom when someone is USING IT! That should be common sense!"

"You weren't using the toilet!" Bonnie fired back, her patience slowly decreasing by the second. "You were in the shower! It wasn't like the curtain was translucent or transparent!"

Just then, their Aunt Rachel, already dressed in a business suit, with her hair tied into a bun, marched into the living room to deal with the arguing brother and sister. "That is enough!" She spat out, glaring at both her niece and nephew. "I am sick and tired of you two always at each other's throats. Donnie, go upstairs and get changed!"

Donnie growled at his sister, glaring at her as he walked away, but Bonnie was glaring back at him with the same intensity, crossing her arms. Donnie stormed up the stairs, and the sound of his bedroom door slamming echoed throughout the entire house.

Bonnie sighed as she collapsed onto the couch, her face on her hands. Her Aunt sat next to her and began rubbing her back. "Oh sweetie, I know how you feel."

Bonnie looked up at her aunt. "Oh really, how so?"

"Excuse me, but I grew up with your father, and I can tell from experience that brothers and sisters...they have their differences." Her aunt then smiled. "I cannot tell you the number of times I just wanted to strangle your father."

Bonnie tilted her head and smirked. "Yeah, I remember once you told me that you spray-painted his car pink when you guys were in your early 20s."

Aunt Rachel then laughed. "Yes, dear. But the one thing I should tell you is that having a sibling can be something special. I mean, one day, you guys are going to be Uncle Donnie and Aunt Bonnie to each other's kids. Having a brother is like having someone be both your worst enemy...and your best friend. "

Bonnie then frowned sadly. "But Donnie never treated me like I was his friend. We have nothing in common, and we only hang out when our other friends are with us. I mean, he probably would mind if I came over to visit once we are grown up."

Her aunt then hugged her. "Just...try to find something you both like, sweetie. Just try."

"Perfect. Perfect." Buck sneered as he paced around the now vacant headquarters, stroking his baton nonchalantly.

"A beautiful Saturday. The Rangers would be too busy enjoying their day off that they would not be able to stop me in time." He cackled in the air as a portal opened up in front of him, allowing him access to the human world. He pulled out what appeared to be an ancient black box. He snickered as he walked through the portal, ready to embark on his next conquest.

Max's father Bobby was still in his red robe as he descended the stairs, hoping his wife had dinner done. Once he made it down the staircase, he heard the faint sound of someone crying. He walked into the kitchen and found his wife at the table, weeping silently to herself.

"Mary," He asked softly, nearly catching his wife jump in surprise.

Mary looked over. "Oh, good morning dear, why are you up? It's your day off."

"Eh, I'm an early riser anyway." He walked over and pulled up a seat next to his wife and sat down. "What's wrong, honey?"

Mary shook her head. "It's been weeks, Bobby. My boy has not been home in weeks. The news gives me hope that he is okay whenever I hear that the Rangers had protected the Earth time after time, but it's not the same."

Bobby sighed sadly and took his fragile wife into his arms, as she continued to weep on his shoulders. "Honey, I can assure you that Max will be home soon."

"H-how could you be so sure?"

Bobby laid a kiss on his wife's forehead before answering. "I just know, darling. I just know..."

Bonnie was riding her bike downtown before the eering noise of people panicking alerted her. She ditched her bike as buildings were falling apart. The girl sprinted toward the area where a familiar monster was terrorizing innocent civilians, using his baton to slash any podium or table that came his way. Debris was all over the perimeter.

Once the monster noticed her, he turned and sneered at her, keeping his distance from the fuming White Ranger.

"What a pleasant surprise. The last time I checked, there were five of you."

Bonnie stared at the monster with a piercing glare. "What are you doing here, Buck?"

"What? Can a monster have a little bit of fun?"

"If it's fun you want, then let's play...CALL INTO COMBAT!" She morphed. White mists swirled her from head to toe. Once the mists diminished, she was in her suit. A spirit resembling a bear's head came up behind her, its jaws forming her helmet.

Bonnie pulled out her staff and charged at Buck.

"You think after my last appointment with you and your friends that you alone stand a chance against me?" Buck laughed as he ducked and merely dodged as the White Ranger tried to strike him down with her staff. "Try again!" He then raised his hand and stopped Bonnie's staff in mid-air, striking her abdomen repeatedly and quickly with his weapon before blasting her away with a wad of raw energy that ejected from his mouth.

Bonnie grunted in pain as tried to use her staff to lift her back onto her feet. Buck pointed his staff toward her and chuckled. "Perhaps I should alleviate my problems by getting rid of you once and for all. One less headache to deal with it!" Just then, he was stunned by several blasts that struck him from behind. He turned and saw that the rest of the Rangers had arrived, with the Yellow Ranger still aiming her Bow Gun at the villain.

Buck growled. "Oh, my least favorite superheroes. No matter...it's great to have the entire gang here!"

"What do you mean by that, Buck?" Max asked.

Buck laughed as he pulled out a familiar-looking black rectangular box, with a white sketch of 空手 implanted on it.

"What is that?" DJ asked curiously.

Ellie gasped as she gazed at her computer screen, watching the Rangers' encounter with Buck.

"D-Dad!" She mumbled hysterically. His father quickly rushed over to his daughter and gasped as he noticed what she was referring to. They knew what Buck had in his hands.

"Th-the Sacred Box!" He said, completely shocked.

"How could he obtain it? He's evil! He can't access it!"

Uni gulped as he rubbed his head, trying to keep his nerves under control. Buck was powerful on his terms, but with the extra help from the Ninja Box, he would obtain an insane amount of power, and knowing his intentions, mankind would be doomed.

"You'll find out soon enough, Rangers! Soon this planet shall be mine! MINE!" Buck spoke before running off. Bonnie managed to stumble back onto her feet and tried to chase Buck down, but it was too late. Buck made its way through a portal that closed up almost immediately.

Max made it to Bonnie's side just as she skidded to a stop, stomping her foot in frustration.

Max shook his head. "Power down." On queue, all the Rangers demorphed.

Donnie made his way to Bonnie as he spoke with malice in his voice. "You know you could have just called us."

Bonnie immediately turned and glared at her brother. "Donnie, what else could YOU do besides shooting from that fancy bow of yours!" She fired back.

Donnie rolled his eyes. "At least my bow is quite useful, unlike that prick you call a lance." He smirked.

Bonnie let out a bear's growl, almost frightening Donnie, but then he hissed back at her.

"Okay, enough!" Max said irritably, standing between the bickering twins. "Let's just head back to Karate Ops and find out what Buck is up to with that box!"

Buck made his way to Po's lair but was immediately confronted by the boss himself, along with Chasm and Sky.

"Where did you obtain that box?" He hissed between his teeth.

Buck merely chuckled. "Me disclosing my secret plans was not a part of our deal."

"The Sacred Box had been protected by Uni's family and their allies for generations. How on earth did you get your conniving hands on it."

"That little encounter I had with the Rangers at Sei Gate. I obtained it before I abducted the twins."

Po tilted his head questionably as Buck walked passed him and started slowly pacing around the room.

"You do know how the Box is charged up, right?" Sky asked, turning his head toward Buck.

Buck chuckled. "Yes, with excess energy from those Rangers. Do you really think me sending monster after monster were just separate measly attempts to take down the Rangers?"

Chasm and Sky gasped in shock. Po approached Buck and grabbed his by the shoulders, shaking him violently. "You deliberately used my henchmen for your sick plan?!"

Buck let out a cackle. "Po, you know very well that I can withstand you in a fight. I used your monsters just lure the Rangers into a myriad of different fights just so I could obtain enough excess energy from those battles. Now I have enough to charge the box up and unlock its powers. I will take this world along with Earth!" He laughed out loud at Po's fuming face.

Sky and Chasm were both stunned by Buck's confession. Po let out an inhumane roar, pulling out his newly constructed blade, and was just about to slide Buck's head off, but Buck immediately teleported away, his figure disappearing into the air.
