AN: Yep, I'm back to this story! After taking a much needed break from this story to finish not only college and complete my best story of all time, Weirder Things, I've returned to continue the story of Kenny Kurosawa.

Honestly, I was going to do a Glitch Techs story instead, after discontinuing my Godzilla x Fairy Tail fanfic. But after talking with some people, I realized it would be to do this story and wait to see if we ever get a season 3 of Glitch Techs. Don't get me wrong, I really want to do a story of that show (mainly because of Miko) but I'll wait until we get the full story before I do that.

And so that's why I've come back to this story. And so, let's get into it.

Kenny's life was not what one called normal. Not in the slightest. Not when he was the descendant of a great warrior, a human turned Devil, and the lover of not just one, but five Devils. All of whom he was sleeping in bed with at this very moment.

When he woke up, Kenny looked to his right and smiled as he saw the love of his life and his "main girl", Rias Gremory sleeping nakedly on his right. Her gorgeous hourglass figure pressing up against him as her red hair glistened in the sun's rays shining into the room.

Rias was the best thing to ever happen in Kenny's life, as were the rest of his friends and girlfriends. Rolling on his side, he gave his first girlfriend a kiss on her forehead. "Morning, princess," he said in a soft tone.

Groaning softly, Rias opened her eyes and smiled at her beloved. "Good morning, my darling samurai," she said, giving her Pawn a loving kiss on the lips. "Did you sleep well last night?"

"With you, I always have a good night," Kenny said with a smile.

"What about me?" asked Kenny's exclusive mistress, Akeno. The raven-haired beauty pressed her naked body against her lover. Her massive breast squished against his back as she kissed along his neck, making him shiver. "Do I make you have good dreams?"

"Very much so," Kenny said with a smirk, turning his head and kissing her as well.

"Akeno, we were having a moment," Rias pouted.

"Can we please not do this," Isabella asked, rising up from behind Rias, just as naked as the red-haired King and the black-haired Queen. The orange-haired Rook stretched her arms over her head as she groaned. Her large breasts jiggled as she did so. "We need to get the Master ready for today."

"What's going on today?" Kenny asked, sitting up on the bed with Rias and Akeno. However, at that moment, he remembered. "Oh, right." It was time for him to go back to school. His entire summer break was spent at the training camp in the Underworld. Not to mention the mess with Loki and the Minions of Set. He barely had any time to spend with Rias or his other girls.

"Come on, Kenny," Rias said, as she and the rest of the girls in bed got out. Xuelan, Isabela, and Karlamine gathered their maid outfits from the floor and slipped them back on.

"We'll have breakfast ready for you and the others, master," Xuelan said, placing her headpiece back on.

"Just make sure you girls eat something yourselves," Kenny said with a kind smile. That kindness made the maids blush and smile back at him, before leaving the room together.

Wearing only her underwear and one of Kenny's shirts to cover her massive breasts, Rias walked around the bed to her boyfriend as he put on a tank top and a pair of workout shorts. "Shame we head to the shower, darling?"

"Yes, shall we?" Akeno asked, wearing a nightgown.

"Let's," said Kenny, as Rias and Akeno grabbed his arms. The three of them walked to the door and exited the room, walking down the halls of the mansion. However, before they got too far, they ran into the head-maid, Yubelluna.

"Hello, master." The former Phenex Queen greeted with a seductive smile. "I see that you're awake."

Kenny blushed seeing the mature woman, making Rias and Akeno feel a little jealous. "Morning, Yubelluna. Is…Rossweisse feeling better?" He asked, looking a little concerned about the Valkyrie that was left behind.

Yubelluna scratched her cheek sheepishly. "Well…"

The maid brought the three of them to one of the guest rooms and opened the door before turning on the light. Sitting on the bed in her tracksuit and curled up with her kneels to her chest was none other than Rossweisse.

"She's been like that all night," Yubelluna said sympathetically as Kenny watched the once proud warrior be reduced to a pitiful state. Then again he didn't see her reaction to Odin when he called her out for being single. He felt sorry for the Valkyrie, who was now alone in a world she's not familiar with.

Kenny turned to Rias. "I'll try and talk to her. You and Akeno go ahead and start the shower," he said. Rias nodded before she and his mistress walked away. The Bomb Queen would followed them, heading to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. However, before she left, Yubelluna stopped and looked back into the room, watching as Kenny walked over to Rossweisse to comfort her.

"Hey, Rossweisse," he said softly, sitting on the bed near the beautiful woman. "You, ah, doing okay?"

"DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M DOING OKAY?" Rossweisse screamed into his face with fury as tears welled up in her eyes. This scared Kenny so much that he fell off the bed and onto the floor. He poked his head over the edge to see her trying to glare at him, but couldn't do it and just went back to crying into her knees. "Oh what's the point of crying? I should be used to this by now. It's not like any other man has wanted me to be his side, so why should my own boss?"

Sweat-dropping a little upon seeing the warrior woman becoming a sobbing mess and far from what he remembered her as in the battle against Loki, Kenny stood up and sat down on the bed again. "Hey, come on. Don't be like that. I'm sure he'll be back real soon," he said, trying to reassure the Valkyrie.

However, Rossweisse was far from convinced. "Oh, yeah, me too. Once the titty-bars have a special event, he'll be the first one in line. Maybe I should apply to be a dancer so he'll see me and realize that he forgot me. But then he'll be like 'get that old lady off the stage and bring out a younger girl with something to offer!'" She started sobbing again, throwing herself onto Kenny and crying into his chest.

While blushing brightly, Kenny wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her back. "Well, I think you're very pretty, Rossweisse," Kenny said, trying to make her feel better.

"No I'm not!"

"Yes you are. You're gorgeous," Kenny said without thinking about what he was saying, again. This made him blush even brighter when he realized what he said to her. Rossweisse, on the other hand, looked up at him with big watery eyes.

"You…you really think so?" She asked sighly.

Still blushing, Kenny nodded and rubbed the back of his neck. "What if…he left you here for a reason!"

"Huh?" Rossweisse asked, pulling away from him.

"Odin likely wanted you to…" Kenny thought for a moment, trying to come up with a likely explanation to cheer up Rossweisse. That's when he got an idea. "Stay here and boost our numbers! Yeah, that's it! It'll be great to have a Valkyrie with us, so Odin must have had you stay with us for that reason."

Rossweisse gasped in surprise at this possibility. "Yes! You're right!" She exclaimed, jumping up to her feet and standing on the bed. "Odin truly is wise!...however…." The silver haired woman fell down on her knees again and started crying. "That still doesn't change the fact that I'm so lonely!"

Kenny could only pity the poor Valkyrie who was left behind by her own boss. But at this point, all he could do was try and comfort her. Seeing this, Yubelluna smiled and walked away. Thinking that Kenny was such a thoughtful man.

And soon, Kenny was sitting back at his desk in his home classroom. It's strange being back in an environment where he didn't have to worry about anything or anyone trying to kill him. Xenovia and Asia were talking with some of the girls from their class, while Kenny himself was sitting alone at his dress. The red kendo shinai bag that contained the Sword hung from the back of his seat.

With the battle with Loki over, and the Army of Darkness still out there, still in the shadows, all he could do was wait and try to resume his normal life as a high school student. And that usually meant dealing with high school shit.

"Yo! Kurosawa!" Motohama and Matsuda yelled as they approached his desk. Turning his head to them, Kenny instantly felt his headache starting.

"What do you two want?" Kenny groaned.

"Not much. Just wanted to know what you and them honeys from your club have been up to!" Matsuda said, leaning towards Kenny. How was it that after all his time at Kuoh, he's still talking to these two idiots like they were his friends? "We were on the beach, scoping out the gold mine of girls and their hot bodies. And not once did we see the honeys from your group there!"

"Perhaps you were staying at home," Motohama said, adjusting his glasses. "Were you perhaps keeping them all to yourself and doing as you pleased with them?"

"Shut up! I'm not like you losers," Kenny said angrily.

"Smells like virgins over here." Approaching the three boys was the glasses girl, Kiryuu. Her mouth was smirking and laughing through her nose. "Are these body-pillow humpers bothering you again, Kurosawa?"

"Oh no you didn't!" Matsuda said.

"What do you want, Kiryuu?" Kenny asked, already annoyed with the perverts interrupting his down time before class started.

"Oh, not much. I figured you three would want to know about the new transfer student. I heard she's a real hoty," she said with a smirk still on her face.

This definitely got Kenny and the two perverts attention. "New girl," they asked simultaneously.

At that moment, Ms. Keane walked into the room, making everyone take their seats. "Attention, everyone! We have a new transfer student," she said. This excited everyone in the room, especially the boys who had all heard that it was going to be a hot girl. Ms. Keane turned to the door and signaled for her to make her entrance. "Come in, dear."

The door to the classroom opened, and shouts of joy came from the guys as the girl walked into the room. Kenny, rather than being happy, was so shocked that his eyes nearly popped out of his head. Asia was the same way, yet was happy, while Xenovia was just as shocked as Kenny. Unable to believe what she was seeing.

Standing in the front of the class was the beautiful Irina Shidou, wearing the Kuoh Academy girls' school uniform, with black short shorts under her skirt and with an addition of white sneakers with blue accents.

"Hello, everyone!" she said, bowing her head and introducing herself with a big smile. Her silver cross coming down from her neck shining. "My name is Irina Shidou."

"...You've got to be kidding me," Kenny said.

Irina then spotted Kenny and waved at him. "Hi, Kenny!" She said happily.

Kenny gave her an awkward smile and waved at her, stunned to see his friend here. But why did she transfer here?

The rest of the day went on, and once classes were over, Irina was swarmed by boys and girls asking her a lot of questions. However, Kenny walked over and grabbed her hand. "Come with me," he said, pulling her out of the classroom, with Asia and Xenovia following them.

They walked around the school, giving Irina a brief tour, before making their way to the Occult Research Club's clubhouse. Irina was excited to see everyone again, especially Kenny, so she went along with him. Once they arrived, Kenny saw everyone was mostly there, with the exception of Rias and Akeno. Kiba was reading a book while Gasper was sitting on the other couch. Kenny sat down next to him, with Koneko coming over and sat down on his lap, with a lollipop in her mouth. Kenny smiled at her cuteness and petted her like a cat.

"Looks like you had a safe trip," Xenovia said as she and Asia talked to Irina.

"I didn't think we'd see you again so soon," said Asia with a smile and her hands in front of her.

Just as happy to see her friends from the Church, Irina said, "I know, right? I missed you all. Oh, come here!" Unable to contain her joy, she hugged the two girls. However, this ended up causing some pain to be inflicted on Xenovia and Asia by her cross. The two girls jumped back and away from her, staring at Irina's cross, much to the young saintly woman's confusion. "What's the matter?"

"Sorry, it's just the cross hanging around your neck," Xenovia pointed out with a smile.

"It hurts us," Asia said, smiling with her blue-haired friend to convey that no real harm was done.

It took a moment, but Irina realized this and gasped and clasped her hands together. "Oh, that's right! I forgot crucifixes hurt Devils! Forgive me?" She asked, giving the two girls a playful, yet embarrassed wink.

Seeing this, Kenny couldn't help but chuckle. "Same old Irina," he said.

"I'm kinda freaking out. Wasn't she a member of the Church?" Gasper asked, staring at the girl with an anxious look on her face. Being a vampire, there were still a few things he had to fear from their Angel friend.

"That's right," Kiba said, looking up from his book to look at Irina. "I wonder why she transferred here."

"Speaking of which," Kenny said as Koneko remained in his lap. "Has anyone seen Rias or Akeno?"

Just after he asked the question, the door to the clubroom opened up to reveal the two Beauties of Kuoh. Akeno had her usual expression, smiling with her eyes closed, while Rias smiled when she saw Irina. "Great, you're all gathered," she said, entering into the room with her best friend following behind her. "Welcome, Irina. Have you had a good first day of school?"

"I have! Thank you so much, Rias!" Irina beamed as she spun around happily. "Everyone here is so nice. I'm really happy to be here." She said, bowing to the redhead beauty.

Kenny smiled at this, happy to know that his friend is enjoying her time at school. "So, what are you doing here, Irina," he asked, giving Koneko a scratch behind her cat ears, which she really liked. "Why transfer to this school?"

"It's not that complicated, samurai," said a family voice behind him. Kenny turned to see Azazel and Karen appearing behind the couch in a flash of green light.

"Hey, Ken." Karen gave her brother a two finger salute.

Seeing the revived Fallen Angel, Gasper smiled and blushed. "Hi, Karen! How are you doing?" He asked, happy to see his crush.

Blushing at this, Karen smiled back at him and rubbed the back of her head. "Hi, Gasper. I'm just making sure this asshole gets his work done."

"Hey, that's no way to talk to your boss," Azazel playfully said.

Kenny raised an eyebrow at the Governor. "So what are you doing here, Azazel?" He asked, almost ready to make a compliment about how he's basically living in his house for free.

"I figured I should come to say hello to your new transfer student too," he said with his usual arrogant smirk. "After all, she's here because Michael thinks the rest of us aren't strong enough. So he's bolstering our numbers against the Army of Darkness."

Kenny looked to Irina, who was talking with his girlfriend. It made sense, considering the peace treaty that was signed between the Three Factions, representatives could all be present in one room. Plus, it'll be great to have the cute girl around, especially when she, Xenovia, and Asia are able to get along greatly.

"Well, we did work pretty well together," Kiba said with his usual gentlemanly smile, sharing Kenny's feeling about having Irina around.

"Sure, it'll take some getting used to, but it'll be fun," Akeno said, nodding her head.

"Now that I'm here, you guys don't have to worry about a thing," Irina said, brushing her hair behind her shoulders. "As a reincarnated Angel, I'll protect you with Lord Michael's blessing! Amen!" To prove her point, she summoned her angelic white wings, along with her halo shining over her head.

"Really?" Kenny asked with a smirk. "Isn't pride a sin?"

"She sorta terrifies me," Gasper admitted, with Karen petting his head.

"But how did you become an Angel?" Kenny asked.

"That's right," said Xenovia, looking at her friend's angel wings and halo in disbelief. "How did this even happen?"

"With God dead and all, there's no way for new Angels to be born," Azazel explained. "So they have to be made now, like Fallen Angels and Devils do. After the formation of the alliance, all of our sides shared technology, including the secrets of the Evil Piece system."

"This is how it works," Irina saidm, explaining how her faction's system works as her wings and halo vanished. "A high level Angel is ranked as a King. A King commands his brave Saints, which rank from Queen to Ace and there's everything between."

"Oh, I get it! While we're based on chess pieces, you guys are like a deck of cards," Kiba said in realization.

Kenny turned to his sister. "So, what are Fallen Angels like?"

Karen was about to tell him that Fallen Angels were based on Mahjong tiles when Azazel interrupted her. "Oh, don't worry about it. It's never going to come up in the story again," Azazel said, getting a pout from Karen as the Governor broke the fourth wall.

"...what?" Kenny asked, confused.

"Of the whole house of cards to choose from, which one did you get assigned?" asked Asia with a pleasant smile.

"I was hoping someone would ask me that. I'm a rank Ace. I was beyond honored to take on this prestigious position for Lord Michael's deck. What a joy! Such a blessing! Lord Michael, thank you!" Irina said with her hands clasped together in a prayer as a red A started glowing on her right hand.

Asia turned to Xenovia and said, "It's nice to see Irina so full of purpose. Lord Michael must've done a lot for her."

"I guess so," Xenovia responded with a nod. "It proves that when you're lost, life still has direction. I think you and I can relate to that."

"So true."

Just then, the conversation was cut short by a knock at the door. Everyone turned to it as Akeno walked over to see who it was. To the surprise of the others, it was Sona and her second in command, Tsubaki, escorting her. Akeno allowed the two women inside the clubroom before closing the door.

"Sorry for the unexpected list, Rias," Sona said to her friend.

"Sona. It's good to see you." Rias greeted her friend. "What brings you around?"

With a serious expression, Sona opened her closed eyes and looked at Rias. "Actually, Rias, I was hoping that I could ask you for a favor."

This surprised the young red-haired young woman. Rarely has Sona ever asked her for a favor.

"Your uncle is back?" Rias asked her friend as she and Kenny, and Akeno followed Sona and Tsubaki down the hall of the main school building to the student council's room. The half Fall Angel was with the redhead beauty because she is her Queen, while the samurai was coming on the request of Sona.

"Yes, and he's not looking good," Sona said, guiding the group.

"I didn't know you had an uncle," Kenny said, walking next to her, Rias, and Tsubaki.

"He's the oddball of the family, you could say," Sona said with her eyes closed and with a blush as she smiled. Happy to be able to talk to Kenny again. This was something that Rias took note of.

When they reached the doors to the student council's room, Tsubaki opened them and allowed the others in. As Kenny entered the room, he was met with the sight of a man that was truly not what he was expecting to see from Sona's family, because her uncle was an honest to god viking. With one good bloodshot eye, red hair that was under a black viking helmet with black armor with a large bear skin and head on his back. Piercing into the side of his helmet was a red arrow.

Around him was the rest of Sona's peerage, with Reya patting his hand as Sona's uncle sat in a chair. When the others came in, the peerage turned to their master. "How's he doing?" Sona asked, walking over to them.

"He's still the same as when he came in, but at least he's calmed down," said Tsubasa, giving Kenny a wink when she looked at him. Kenny smiled and blushed at this.

Trying to ignore this and staying focused on the situation at hand, Sona walked up to her uncle and sat down in a chair. Rias and her Devil gathered around the large table, listening in on the conversation.

"Uncle, can you hear me?" Sona asked with her serious expression.

The viking opened his mouth and said, "Oh course I can! My hearing isn't lost just yet, girl."

As Reya backed away, Sona pressed on. "Then please tell me, why did you come to my school and nearly cause a scene?" She asked, as her uncle just showed up out of nowhere, yelling for Sona to come out. It took almost everyone on the council to restrain him and bring him to the student council clubroom.

"You were the only one of our family in the mortal world," her uncle said. He looked down in shame for a moment, before looking up at her. "I was defeated in battle."

This came as a shock to not only Sona, but her peerage, Rias, and Akeno. This confused Kenny, with the young man looking to his friend Saji for clarity. "What's going on? Why is that a big deal?"

"Sona's uncle is considered to be the best strategist in all the Underworld. He's never lost a single fight," he explained.

"What happened, uncle?" Sona asked with urgency for the truth. "How did this happen?"

"I've found it, Sona. I found the fabled Tower of King Ozric," the viking said as he went into his story. "I learned that travelers would find the tower and never walk away from it again. Once I heard the name Ozric, I knew I finally had what I was looking for. I gathered my army and marched on the tower. It was just one tower, and no one to guard it, or so I thought when I sent my army charging at it. And that's when it happened…"

"What happened?"

Her uncle looked at her with a haunted expression. "Arrows."

This took Sona aback for a moment. Her uncle grabbed the arrow sticking into his helmet and yanked it out, showing everyone in the room. "Arrows as red as blood rained down on us from the top of the tower. No one was spared, but I was lucky enough to fall back just in time. My men were not so lucky," he said, as everyone looked at the man in pity. "When it was all over, only 2 minutes went by. And that's when I saw them. The archers that killed them all. Their bodies black against the sun and their bows as red as their arrows. I was the only survivor. My entire army was completely annihilated! Even in my dears, I can still see the arrows falling over us like rain."

As he finished his story, Rias stepped forward with her arms crossed under her breasts. Causing them to jiggle. "Excuse me, but what could that tower have held that would make you risk an entire army?" she asked, unable to see why the leader of an army would brashly sacrifice his army to take one tower. As a Gremory, it was unthinkable. "Treasure? Gold? Rubies?"

"BAH! Nothing materialistic as treasure, you simple-minded Gremory," Sona's uncle barked.

"Hey, watch it, big man." Kenny warned the viking, stepping in front of Rias.

"Uncle, what is up on the tower?" Sona said with a stern voice.

Turning back to his niece, the viking said, "At the top of the tower is a mystical well. The Well of King Ozric. Those who reach the infamous well will be granted one wish." This single piece of information silenced everyone in the room, as the importance of the well became known to them all. "Your greatest desire."

Sona was silent for a moment as she pondered on what she was just told. However, it didn't take her too long as she stood up and asked, "Uncle, if you could, would you be able to point out where the well is?"

"Of course!" Her uncle exclaimed, before getting up and walking over to a globe sitting at one of the back corners of the room. Spilling it around, he placed his finger on the location of the tower. "It's right there! In the center of that mist shrouded island lies the treasure of King Ozric."

"Thank you, uncle," Sona said, before turning to her Queen. "Tsubaki, how long would a teleportation spell need to be prepared to take us there?"

"Not long, milady," Tsubaki said dutifully.

And so, Sona gave her one simple command. "Get started on it."

Tsubaki bowed her head and stepped away to perform her duty, walking over to an area with more space to make the magic circle. "Uh-huh." Said Sona's uncle, not really getting what his niece was going to do. However, when he realized what she was going to attempt, the viking quickly stood up. "Oh, wait!" he said, gaining the attention of everyone in the room. "Sona, I beg you, reconsider. There are only three archers, yet they decimated my whole army. You are just one Devil. Do the math, Sona."

"I wouldn't be alone, uncle." Sona said, confidently.

"But why attempt it?"

Sona turned around, causing her skirt to lift up slightly and show a bit of her panties. "Because I'm not going to have our family name be tarnished," she said before walking away. "I'll succeed where you have failed."

As she exited the room, Rias followed after her, with Akeno and Kenny right behind their master

"I can see why you brought me here," she said as the door closed behind them. With a knowing smile, Rias looked to Sona, who was standing facing away from the three. "Can I expect you to ask me to help you get to the well?"

With a smile of her own, Sona turned back to Rias and said, "Actually, I was hoping that you'd lend me Kenny."

This took Kenny aback, while Rias' eyes narrowed at her friend. "And why would I do that?"

"I can't take the tower myself, and while my peerage has been training, I can't say that they'd be ready for such a task. So, I'm hoping a smaller force would work. And Kenny, given his powers, could be vital in ceasing the well," Sona rationalized, glancing at Kenny, which made her cheeks flush little. However, Rias saw this and started to piece together what might be going on.

"Can the two of you leave us for a moment," Rias asked Kenny and Akeno.

"Uh…" Kenny hesitated, feeling that it wouldn't be a good idea.

"It's alright, Kenny," Rias said, kindly as she looked back at him. "I just need to figure out the details of Sona's plan."

Kenny glanced at Akeno, who smiled and nodded at him. She grabbed his hand and led him back into the room. Leaving Rias alone with her rival, who walked over to the window and leaned her slim, yet curvy body against it.

"So, I can expect some kind of 'stay away from my boyfriend' speech?" Sona asked in a matter of fact voice. "You know, you should be saying that to Akeno, with the way she makes bedroom eyes at him."

"Oh, I've tried, however, it's clear that so many of us hold feelings for our brave samurai," Rias said with an exasperated smile, which turned into a knowing smile. "Even you, Sona."

This took Sona by surprise as she blushed brightly and turned her head away. "I…I don't know what you're talking about."

Rias giggled at this. "Lyings never been one of your strongest skills, Sona," said the redhead as she walked next to her friend and leaned against the window next to her. Smiling at her glasses-wearing friend, who couldn't look at her out of embarrassment. "It's hard not to fall for him, isn't it?" She asked knowingly. "His bravery and kindness, it just makes you want to hold the burden he carries with him. It's why we all fell in love with him, even the maids living with us."

Sona chuckled. "Yes, well…this isn't how I planned to fall in love," she said.

"Life's full of strangeness," Rias said, looking up at the ceiling. "I never planned to fall for him, yet I did, and I can't be any happier than I am now. However, I also knew that other girls loved him, so I just stopped trying to fight it."

Sona looked at her friend with a raised eyebrow. "You mean his harem?"

"Yup. As his harem queen and main girlfriend, I decide who should be a part of it. Akeno has overstepped her bounds many times, but I can't say no to her after everything Kenny's done for her. Thankfully, Xuelan, Karlamine, and Isabella came to me to ask."

"Wait, they're a part of his harem too?" Sona asked, genuinely surprised.

"That's right," Rias said before turning her head to the smaller girl, smirking knowingly at her. "Would you like to be a part of it?"

"W…Wha?!" Now that definitely took Sona by surprise, as she stepped back from Rias with wide eyes and her jaw hanging open, blushing bright red. "R-Rias, you…you're…"

Seeing her friend unable to form words, yet having a very good idea of what she was thinking, Rias approached her and said, "I'm quite alright with it, Sona. It's clear that you have feelings for Kenny that go deeper than just admiration. And don't even try to hide it, we all know you have a crush on him."

Realizing that Rias was right, Sona sighed in defeat and adjusted her glasses. "Let's just get back to the topic at hand," she said, talking towards the door of the room.

Seeing her friend so flustered made Rias smile. So rarely that she ever got to see her like it, it was almost kind of funny. She can definitely see where Karen gets her enjoyment from teasing Kenny. So, she walked over Sona before she grabbed the doors and leaned into her ear.

"You have my permission," she said, making Sona look back at her.

"You mean to have Kenny come along, right?" Sona asked for clarity.

Rias simply smiled and said, "For both." And just like that, she opened the door herself and walked in. With a still blushing Sona, who got what Rias was telling her, following her.

The arrangement was made. However, because Rias would never allow the thought of trading Kenny, she and Sona came up with another way around it. In exchange for Kenny going with her, who was worth 8 Pawn pieces, Sona would have Saj, Ruruko, Momo, and Tomoe stay with Rias and her peerage until he got back. An unofficial trading of their members. Rias agreed to this, and tearfully kissed Kenny goodbye, distorted to have her love leave her side. Akeno also kissed him goodbye, wishing him good luck, before Tsubaki activated the spell circle and teleported the team to the island where the tower was located.

Arriving at their destination with Sona, Tsubaki, Reya, and Tsubasa, Kenny was surprised when he found his feet covered in snow, and cold air piercing his exposed skin. Glad that he had on his blazer uniform and not his summer uniform, Kenny looked up to see they were in the middle of a snow-covered forest with towering black trees.

"This is really where the tower is?" Kenny asked as Sona and the girls stood next to him. Looking around the trees and ground, which was covered in white snow.

"It would appear so," Sona said, before taking off into the forest. Her girls followed her, with Kenny going behind them. Their feet leave behind footprints in the thick snow.

Kenny rarely saw snow, so as he walked through the forest, it was like being in a winter wonderland. However, as he followed the others, he couldn't help but feel just how eerie the place was. Sure, there was a bird tweet here and there, but the woods were oddly quiet.

As Sona led the group over a log that went over a stream of freezing cold water, Kenny spoke up, breaking the silence. "Anyone else find anything about this place…odd?"

Tsubasa and Reya looked back at him, while still crossing the bridge. "What do you mean, Tiger?" the blue-haired Rook asked.

"Well, just look around," he said, jumping down from the log after crossing. "There's no animals, and hardly any birds."

"It's likely because they're hibernating," Reya said in a polite tone, however, she stopped when she accidentally bumped into Tsubaki. "Oh! I'm sorry, Tsubaki." However, she quickly saw that she had stopped before she ran into her.

The tall girl and Sona were both just standing there and staring at something in front of them with slightly wide eyes. Noticing this, Kenny and Tsubasa stopped and looked at what had caused them to stop. Causing Kenny to gasp lightly at the sight of a skeleton with armory on it. Using its own blood, the warrior had written a simple, but clear warning to them, and anyone that tried to go further.

GO BACK!

"I've got a bad feeling about this," Kenny said.

"Come, let's keep moving." Sona turned away and continued on. The other girls followed her, before Kenny followed after.

After leaving the warning, however, it didn't take long for them to find what they were looking for. Exiting out of the forest, they found themselves coming to a halt at a massive clearing in the woods.

Littered across the field and covered it snow where the corpses of army Sona's uncle once led, along with their war machines. Their bodies were pierced by several arrows, which littered all over the field. And in the center of it was the tower they were looking for. At a height that was equal to a four story building, it wasn't too impressive to look at. It was entirely made from gray stones with a battlement crowning the top of it.

The group stopped and stared at it. The cool air breezing past the girls' skirts. "So this is the tower?" Kenny asked.

Sona looked at one of the corpses and saw her family's simple on the back of one of their hands. "This is the tower, alright," she said, looking back to it.

The group continued to stare at it before Tsubasa said, "Well, what are we waiting for?" She took a step towards it. "Let's—"

SNAP!

All of a sudden, a red arrow flew into her shoes!

"Ah!" She yelled out and jumped back from where she was standing.

"Tsubasa!" Sona exclaimed and rushed to her Rook.

The blue-haired was sitting on the ground, holding her foot as the others rushed to her. However, to her surprise, she wasn't in pain. "It's okay," she told them, pulling out the arrow from her shoe. "It went between my toes."

Kenny sighed in relief. Turning back to the tower, Kenny glared at it as he stood back up. Walking back to where they once stood, he stopped. Looking at the ground, he lifted up his foot and took a step forward. He pulled his foot back before three arrows could hit it.

Turning his head back up to the top of the tower, Kenny saw three black figures slipping into view. From where he was, it was hard to make out what they looked like, but he could see they each had a red brow.

Seeing them, Sona and her girls stood back up. Now they could see what they were dealing with. "Milady," Tsubaki said turning to her master as her hair flowed in the wind, "what's our–"

Before she could finish her sentence, an arrow flew past the side of her head.

"Back!" Sona yelled, jumping back for a barrage of arrows shot at her. Kenny quickly turned back to them with a worried expression, his school blazer flapping from his motion.

However, this caused the archers to shoot at him. Their arrows ripped apart his blazer, much to the shock of the young samurai. More arrows came at him, and Kenny found himself pinned to a tree. Looking up, he gasped when he saw another arrow flying at him at high speeds, aiming right for his chest.

"Kenny!" Sona and Tsubasa screamed.

Time almost seemed to slow down as the arrow came at him. Then, just before it came within arms reach, Kenny swiftly pulled his sword from his back and placed it in front of himself. When the red arrow made contact with it, the Sword's razor sharp blade cut the arrow down the middle. Splitting it perfectly in two as both sides flew off in opposite directions.

Ripping himself and the blazer away from the tree, Kenny quickly went behind the tree. Sona and her peerage did the same, avoiding arrows as they got into cover.

Kenny sheathed the Sword, the sound of the blade scraping against the wood of the scabbard rang out. He held in a gasp when four arrows pierced through the tree and out the other side near his head.

All five of them stayed silent. Holding their breaths as they waited for the archers to make another attack. However, they didn't come. As silence returned to the area, Kenny turned to Sona, who was hiding behind a tree with Tsubaki. Reya and Tsubasa were hiding behind their own trees, waiting for their master's orders.

"Sona, what's the plan?" Kenny asked the illegent girl.

Sona thought for a moment. The archers caught them off guard, but she wasn't going to back down so easily. In fact, Sona was already thinking of several maneuvers and tactics to get them past the arrows. The best course of action was to get under the battlement. It provided the best blind spot.

Looking at the archers, Sona saw they weren't moving at all. However, she looked up and noticed that the sun was high in the air. Her brilliant mind then formulated a new plan.

"Tsubaki, I need you to use Mirror Alice to reflect the sunlight. Blind the archers as Reya and Tsubasa take to the sky and flank them. Kenny, promote to a Knight and rush them down the middle. I'll use my water magic to attack with you," she said, summoning a magic circle.

"Right!" The others exclaimed, determined to finish this mission.

Together, they acted. Tsubaki rushed out from behind the tree and summoned her Sacred Gear, aiming it at an angel to have the light reflect off of it at the archers. Jumping out from behind their tree, Tsubasa and Reya opened their wings, flapping them as they two to the sky. Kenny, promoted to a Knight, rushed out and charged at the tower as Sona summoned her water to attack. The pillar of water splashing at it rushed at the tower.

However, within a second, the attack failed. Almost predicting where he was going to be, the archers first shot at Kenny, surprising him as he jumped back.

"What?!" Tsubasa exclaimed in shock.

"But how?" Reya asked, before she was shot in the wing by multiple arrows, making her scream in pain.

"Reya!" Tsubasa yelled, before she shouted in pain when an arrow went through her wings.

"I've got you!" Sona exclaimed, redirecting her pillar of water to catch the two falling girls. As she did, her water blocked a barrage of arrows fired at them. She used her water to place them behind a large tree.

But then a barrage of arrows was sent at her.

"I've got you, milady!" Tsubaki jumped in front of her master and used her Mirror Alice to suck in the arrows and send them flying back at the archers. However, this was countered by the now seemingly inhuman archers.

They fired more arrows and hit the arrows that were sent back at them, destroying them with snaps!

"But how?" Tsubaki asked, taking a step back. Resulting in her getting shot in the leg and screaming in pain.

"Tsubaki!" Sona exclaimed in worry as her vice president and friend fell down. She used a magic circle to make a shield to protect herself from multiple arrows being shot at her.

Using both sword and his agility to dodge the arrows, Kenny rushed back to Sona and grabbed her and Tsubaki. With them in his arms, he dived behind the tree Tsubasa and Reya were behind. The archers shot at the tree, sticking arrows all over the side facing them.

Still on top of Sona and Tsubaki, which made both girls blush (Sona mostly), Kenny used his body to shield them from any other attack. However, just like before none came. Panting for a moment to catch his breath, he stood up and placed his back against the tree.

"Are you okay, Tsubaki," Sona asked her Queen, who had the arrow pulled out as Reya tried treating her wound. Using her magic to try and heal the wound.

Tsubaki grunted in pain, but tried to remain calm. "I'm fine, milady," she said with a small smile, before turning to Reya and Tsubasa, whose wings were tattered "But what about you two? Aren't you hurt?"

"We'll be fine," Tsubasa said with a grin.

Kenny was happy to hear this and smiled because of it. However, he turned back to the tower. The archers stopped firing at them and just stood there. "Sona, what are we going to do now?" Tsubasa asked in a whisper. "They knew what we were going to do, even before we knew what hit us."

Sona thought for a moment. "Something's not right. Tsubaki should have blinded them," she said, pondering how they were able to see Kenny, who was going at high speeds.

However, as he looked at them, Kenny started to get a rather odd feeling about them. Nothing about these archers' actions made sense. Their reflexes were supernatural and they were about to hit them with pinpoint accuracy. But there was something about them that confused him. They had so many opportunities to kill them, from the moment they arrived at the field. Yet all they did was shoot at anything that made a sound.

"Something's not right," Kenny said, narrowing his eyes when that thought about sound came into his mind. Wanting to do a little experiment, Kenny started taking off his blazer. After removing it, Kenny cautiously reached out his arm. His hand holding the blazer, trying to get the archers to shoot at it. However, they didn't. He jiggled it, but the archers still didn't shoot. They remained as still as statues on that tower.

"I wonder…" he said in a whisper.

Kenny then released his grip on the blazer and let it fall to the ground. When it landed on the snow, it made a crushing sound.

The archers completely rippled the blazer in a barrage of red arrows.

This surprised the girls and Kenny, who turned back to the archers. As he focused on them, he nearly gasped when he finally got a good look at them.

The three archers at the top of the tower were anything but humans. Kenny didn't even think they were Devils or Angels. They were completely black, with slim humanoid bodies, and rat-like heads, with their ears pointed straight up. Each of them was armed with a red bow, but no quiver. Meaning they had an unlimited amount of dark red arrows they were about to materialize out of nowhere. But the biggest thing that stood out about them were their eyes. Their eyes are completely white and large. There were no pupils, and they didn't even blink.

Those eyes told Kenny all he needed to know about what they were dealing with.

"They're blind?" asked Tsubaki. Falling back to the river they passed, the group gathered at the bottom of a running waterfall on the shore. The waterfall's noise, if the archers were able to hear them from this distance, would make it difficult for them to hear what they're saying.

"That's right. That's how they're able to counter our every move. They were listening to us. Just waiting for us to make a move," Kenny explained as the Queen, Bishop, and Rook sat around him.

Tsubasa leaned back with her arms supporting her body. "This is stupid. How are we supposed to get past something like that?" She asked in frustration.

"Can we even hope to get there?" Reya asked, hugging her legs to her chest.

Not knowing the answer to that, Kenny sighed and looked down. In truth, he wasn't sure what to do. And when he looked over at Sona, he could tell she was of the same mindset.

Sona was sitting in front of the running water, on her knees, and looking down at her reflection. Her expression showed her troubled feelings after her plan failed. As she sat alone, Kenny approached and sat next to her. "Sona, you can't blame yourself for what happened," he told her, trying to comfort her. "Tsubaki and the others are still alive."

Sona sighed. "Still doesn't make it easier knowing they got hurt," she said.

Kenny nodded at this. Together, the two of them sat together, listening to the sounds of the river. "Can I ask you something?" Kenny asked, though Sona still didn't look up from the water. "Why are you doing this? I know you said that it was for your family's name, but surely your uncle being defeated wouldn't change that."

Sona smiled at this, happy to see that Kenny saw past that little lie. While she did care about her family and their status, he was right about her uncle's defeat. It wouldn't have been a big deal, as warfare wasn't what the Sitri Clan was known for. "Saji and Tsubasa told you about my dream, right?" She asked, still not looking at the samurai.

This confused Kenny, but he answered her. "You're dreaming of creating a Rating Game school right?" He asked, before realizing that he'd just answered his own question. "Is that why you've come to the well? To make that dream come true?"

"That's right," Sona said, before beginning her explanation. "We might be one of the Three Factions, but Devil society has changed very little in the last thousands of years. We still have a class system and have arranged marriages. I'm sure you know that last part from Riser and Rias. But did you know that I was also in an arranged marriage?"

"Are you serious?" Kenny asked, completely shocked. "Does that mean…"

"No, I was able to call it off after beating him in a game of chess." Sona said, smirking at him teasingly. "I will not marry anyone who isn't smarter than me."

Kenny blushed and scratched the back of his head. "Oh…"

Sona giggled at this before continuing. "This school is the reason why I came to Kuoh. To learn of the human's school system. I only hoped that it would help bring change to the Underworld. Change that would make everyone just a little more equal."

And just like that, Kenny's admiration for the young woman grew expanatually. Smiling at her, he said to Sona, "Then I'm going to help you reach that goal, Sona."

Blushing, Sona looked at the boy she had a massive crush on with wide eyes. She remembered hearing him say that when they were in Egypt, but to hear him say it to her was something else. It made her heart skip a beat and her feelings for him grew as a result. Smiling at him, she then turned her head away and closed her eyes. "Well, I would certainly like that, Kenny," Sona said. "If only we knew how to beat these archers."

Kenny thought for a moment, before he gasped.

-(flashback)-

One night inside his mindscape, Kenny was once again training with Jack. Even after the training he received from him during his training with Tannin, Kenny would sometimes return to his mindscape to train with the samurai. Learning more of what he had to offer. And on this night, Jack would have a seemingly odd lesson to give him.

To fight him while blindfolded.

With a piece of cloth tied over his eyes, Kenny stood in front of Jack in a fighting stance. Jack threw the first punch, which Kenny was able to block. However, he wasn't able to block the punch to his stomach, chest, and even a kick to the face.

That kick knocked Kenny to the ground. Groaning in pain, he picked himself up before couching. Frustrated, Kenny yanked the blindfold off his head. "It's no use! No one can fight like this," he exclaimed.

Jack smiled, remembering those were his words when he was trained by the shaolin monks. And so, he told Kenny what his master told him. "A great warrior must be in tune with all of his senses. Only then will you be able to extend your awareness, so that you may fight on any level," he said to Kenny, who took in all of his words. "Try again."

"Yes, ancestor," Kenny said, and put back on the blindfold.

-(present)-

"That's it!" Kenny exclaimed.

"What's it?" Sona asked.

Kenny stood up and stripped off his white dress shirt. "I must fight on their level," he said, ripping off the right sleeve.

"What's going on, milady?" Tsubaki asked as she brought over to her master. Supported by Reya and Tsubasa.

"I'm…I'm not sure," Sona said, watching as Kenny sat down on the ground.

Lifting the sleeve up, Kenny placed it over his eyes and tied it behind his head. With his sight now gone. The young samurai listened to the world around him. And it was through the sounds that he heard, he was able to see more than what he would have with his eyes.

Like a pair of deers far away, digging out some grass from the snow to eat. A pair of birds flapping their wings on a tree branch, clearing them of frost. The wind as it passed through the trees. Droplets of water dripping down from icicles. Running water in the river passing through rocks and branches of a fallen tree. Even the sound of falling snow as they fell from the sky and broke on hitting the ground.

As the girls looked at him, they glanced at one another in concern, before Sona reached out to place her hand on his shoulder. However, before she could, Kenny swiftly grabbed her hand. Surprised, Sona asked, "How did you know?"

"I heard you," Kenny said, taking off the blindfold. Standing up, he looked at the small girl with determination and summoned his Sacred Gear. "Now, let's get you to that well."

And so it was, Kenny stood facing the tower on the edge of the field. His eyes blindfolded, with his Gear still out, holding the Sword in its grasp. Promoted to Knight, he's prepared to make the dangerous run for the tower. Sona and her peerage remained behind a tree, watching the event unfold.

The archers remained on the tower, unmoving with their bows ready. However, the footsteps of the Devils walking back to the field alerted them to their presence. So, they turned their heads in their direction.

Kenny remained standing for a minute, letting his senses take over.

Then, he started running.

The archer's ears pointed in his direction as Kenny's feet crunched against the ground with each step he took. He heard the sound of bowstrings stretching as the archers aimed their arrows right at him. They then released their arrows and Kenny's ears picked up the sound of them coming right at him. The feathers at the end of them whistling in the wind.

Just as they were about to hit him, Kenny dodged them.

This caused the archers to start shooting at him once again with more arrows. However, to the shock of Sona, Kenny once again outran the barrage of arrows. "He's doing it!" She gasped.

Kenny bobbed and weaved his way across the snow covered field, avoiding red arrows shot by the rat-like archers. Everytime he did, the archers' ears would pick up that he's still alive and still coming towards the tower. So they shot at him again. But Kenny was using their strength against them to great effect. No matter how fast they fired at him, Kenny was able to keep one step ahead of them.

He finally stopped once he reached the tower as it was down under the tower's battlement.

Having lost track of where Kenny was, the archers' ears started moving in every direction, trying to find out where he'd gone. They spread out across the top of the tower, hoping to hear him better and make sure that the intruder didn't get the jump on them.

At first, they heard nothing.

But then…

Step. Step. Step. Step. Step. Step. Step.

They heard the sound of footprints as Kenny ran up the side of the tower. He jumped over the top of the battlement, dodging the arrows shot at him. Kenny jumped high into the air and fell towards the tower. It was in the sky that he saw the well they were looking for, filled with a black tar-like liquid.

The archers heard him before Kenny landed on the tower. They turned and the three archers shot at him.

Time slowed down as the three arrows flew towards his head. Kenny's ears heard the sound of feather fletchings rustling in the wind. And so, at the last second, he ducked his head down. With Kenny out of the way of the arrow, they flew at each other. Colliding with one another at the tips of their heads.

CLASH!

STAB! STAB! STAB!

Suddenly, all three archers were stabbed by their own arrows. Hearing this, Kenny removed his blindfold to see what happened.

With arrows stabbed into their chests, the three archers writhed in pain as electricity coursed throughout their bodies. Seeing this, Sona and her peerage opened their wings and flew towards the tower. They landed on the tower and watched the archers with Kenny.

And then, something amazing happened. Their bodies began to change, and the black skin turned into the same tar like substance from the well. It melted off the bodies of the archers, who were revealed to be pale yellow skin humans with long necks and orb-shaped heads, as well as thick limbs, rectangular noses, and short fingers. They wore very little clothing, aside from their false beards, similar in style to those donned by Egyptian Pharaohs, and red loincloths.

Kenny, Sona, Tsubaki, Tsubasa, and Reya watched as the three pools of tar moved across the stone. They stepped out of the way of it as they moved up the steps and spilled into the well. Once inside with the rest, the black water of the well started to boil and bubble.

"What was that?" Tsubasa asked. Kenny was about to say that he didn't know, when the men started groaning. He got into a fighting stance, but then saw they were posing a threat.

One of them took his hands away from his eyes, shocking the Devils when they saw he had no eyes. "Where…W-What?" He asked, completely confused about what was going on. However, that changed when his eyes reformed. This shocked the man, who looked at both of his hands. "I can see!"

"We're restored," said the second man.

"How is this possible?" asked the last man.

"You can thank us for that." The three men turned to Sona, who approached them.

"You have broken our curse?" One of the archers asked.

"Actually, it was my friend that broke your curse," Sona said with a smile, presenting Kenny to the archers as she gestured to him.

"We thank you," the archer said as he and the other two bowed their heads to Kenny.

Kenny smiled and bowed to them as well. "We've come here seeking the well," he said to the archers. "My friend would like to make a wish from it."

"Actually," Sona interrupted him with closed eyes. "I think the wish should be yours."

This surprised Kenny, as well as the other girls. "But your school," he protested.

"I'll have many more opportunities to make that dream come true," Sona said, opening her eyes to look at him with a smile. "Besides, I believe your wish will be much more important than mine."

Kenny wondered for a moment what she was talking about. However, he then realized that this could be a chance he never thought of. The chance to kill Aku once and for all, before he could have a chance to reawaken. Smiling and nodding at the beautiful short woman, he turned to the archers. "If it's alright with you, I'll make the wish," he said.

"The well is yours." One of the archers said. With permission given, Kenny turned and walked towards the well.

However, the archers glanced at one another with uncertainty.

Kenny walked up the steps and approached the well. Looking down into it, he stared at the tar-like liquid. From it, the ghostly voice of the well's spirit said, "Proclaim your wish, great warrior, and it will be fulfilled beyond your wildest dream."

Kenny closed his eyes. "I can finally put an end to Aku," he said, before sighing. "Oh, mystic well, I humbly wish–"

"Wait!" said one of the archers, stopping Kenny before he could make his wish. "We must warn you, any wish granted comes with a price."

Confused by this, Kenny and the girls turned to them. "Mind elaborating?" Sona asked.

And so the archer explained everything to the devil. "It was forever ago, we fought long and hard to reach this well. When we arrived, we stood before the well and made our wish: to be the greatest of warriors. The spirit of the well did indeed make us great warriors, but in so doing, robbed us of our sight and our minds– enslaving us as its personal guard. We have lived cursed lives until now."

This revelation startled the Devils. If Sona really did go through with making her wish, they could only have imagined just how bad it would have turned out. Sona turned to Kenny, becoming worried as he stared down at the well. Everyone remained silent as they stared at him, as he had his back facing them. They weren't able to see his face, but by how his fist was clenching, they knew that he was angry.

And Kenny was indeed furious. He was so close to getting rid of Aku. Of stopping him from ever being able to come back. Of stopping the Army of Darkness from hurting people and threatening the world. To be able to have a normal life. But now, here he was, learning that if he did, the wish that he would be granted would cause something terrible to happen. If Sona had made the wish, something horrible would have happened to her. As his frustration continued to build, Kenny finally came to a decision.

"Evil spirit of the well!" Kenny yelled, bringing the Sword up with the blade pointed down. This action surprised the others. "You will not claim another innocent life! You want a wish, then I wish thee…DESTROYED!"

And with that, he stabbed his blade into the well. This caused a blinding light to shine from the well, causing everyone to cover their eyes until it stopped when the black tar shot up into the sky. It then spread out around the sky like an atomic bomb forming a mushroom cloud, before dispersing and disappearing.

Everyone stared at Kenny in astonishment as he sheathed his sword.

Afterwards, he and Sona's peerage stood gathered together and teleported away, as they left, the archers thought to themselves about the warrior that freed them.

"The greatest of warriors."

"A noble spirit."

"Such sacrifice."

Kenny moved his knight on the chess board, and Sona watched with an impressed smile. "Impressive," she said.

The two of them were alone together inside the student council's room, playing another game of chess at the request of the young woman. When the group returned to Kuoh Academy, Rias was relieved to find Kenny was safe and well. Hugging him tightly and kissing him all over his face. Kiba was worried when he heard that Tsubaki was injured, but the tall girl blushed and said that she was fine. Luckily Asia was there to heal her.

Kenny then went on to explain what happened with the tower. Surprising his friends, who were happy to know that he didn't go through with the wish. Rias then suggested that they go home, however, Sona asked if she could keep Kenny for a little while longer. While confused at first, Rias smiled and allowed it, as she and Akeno kissed Kenny goodbye. Sona then dismissed her peerage for the night, wanting to be completely alone with Kenny.

And so, that's where we find our hero. Sitting across from Sona as the two of them play their game of chess. Once again enjoying herself as they played their game. The only source of light being a single lap. "You're becoming better," she said, complimenting the young samurai's skills.

"I am a fast learner," Kenny said with a smirk.

Sona smiled at this and moved another one of her pieces, before she said, "I'd like to thank you, Kenny. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have made it to the tower."

"Here's no need to thank me, Sona. I'm happy to have helped you," Kenny said, moving his piece. "Though I'm still a little confused about why you gave up your wish? I knew that it was so that I could wish for Aku to never return, but you could have made that wish yourself."

Sona looked at him for a moment before moving another piece on the board. "You were the one that defeated the archers and set them free. The wish should go to you. Plus," she paused for a moment as she blushed, "if you really meant what you said about helping my dear, then I wanted to give you something in return."

Kenny blushed at this before smiling back at her. He moved his king forward, which allowed Sona to capture him with another one of her surprising moves.
