"I'm going to talk to Vali."

The entire room went silent upon hearing his declaration. Everyone was all but stunned at Kenny's proposal. Not sure what to do or say. However, the burning determination in Kenny's eyes told them that he was dead serious.

It was ridiculous. Getting in contact with Vali? A member of the Army of Darkness? It was nothing short of suicidal.

Turning to him, Rossweisse tried to reason with the samurai. "I understand how you feel, Kenny, but that's impossible."

"Master, that plan's crazy, even for you." Xuelan stood up and said to her lover, "You're talking about making a deal with not just the devil but the descendant of Lucifer. He can't be trusted!"

"What choice do I have," Kenny asked. He turned and looked at Sirzechs. "He's the only one that can get me to Rias. If he knows how to open a portal to the Dimensional Gap, then I have to take that risk."

As the elder brother of the crimson-haired beauty, Sirzech was conflicted. What Kenny suggested was not exactly a bad idea, and he knew the samurai was right. However, it was a fool's errand. The man wanted nothing more than to rescue his little sister in any way he could. But as the Devil King, he couldn't afford to agree with the suggestion.

"Our very way of life is under constant siege by those terrorists of the Army of Darkness. We're still counting the casualties from the attack they launched during your fight with Dioadora and Shalbi. Families and friends from every corner of the realm are still grieving."

Kenny's eyes closed as he lowered his head slightly. His heart weighed heavily for those lost and those who lost them.

"We can't associate ourselves with such filth. Collusion with Aku's forces to save the Devil King's sister? The people would stand against me," Sirzech explained.

"If the public heard about our collaboration with Vali Lucifer, in no time at all, Aku's followers would find the civil unrest to their advantage," Ajuka said, turning to face Kenny. "This decision could affect the current stability of the Underworld."

Kenny sighed. "With all due respect, let Aku's forces show themselves from the shadows. I will cut them all down. I understand the dangers and risks that will come after, but I refuse to let Rias die!"

Sirzechs looked at the boyfriend of his sister. "Kenny, please understand what I'm saying to you."

Kenny scowled at the man. "What are you willing to do to save Rias? What if it was Grayfia and your son? What would you do to get them back?"

Sirzechs' answer was swift. "Anything and everything."

"Then you know that I can't just let her die. I understand the fragile peace the Underworld is experiencing, but I have a duty as her boyfriend and samurai. Rias is my everything. I'll go it alone if I have to. No one else needs to be hurt. I'll risk anything to save her, even my own life. "

Both Satans had just stared at the samurai, surprised by his conviction. Despite his blatant disrespect, they considered the samurai's words.

However, Azazel started laughing with a smirk on his face.

"Azazel, what's so funny?" Akeno asked, confused.

"Our friendly neighborhood samurai thought it through," Azazel said, still smirking. "Try to keep up; the Devil King can say Kurosawa went rogue. Hell, all of you kids can remain blameless. If you kids go rogue in an attempt to rescue Rias, it's no longer Sirzechs's problem."

"It's not that simple," said Sirzechs.

"Should things go bust, you can still cover your ass. Say they acted independently, and if that's not good enough, I can take care of the kids," Azazel said, standing to his feet and walking over to Sirzechs with a shrug.

"How?" Kenny asked with a raised eyebrow.

"If worst comes to worst, I can see to it they are all made fallen angels." That got everyone's attention. "Then you can just scapegoat any backlash on me, the acting Governor-General," Azazel said, jerking his thumb at himself.

"A false flag operation could quell any potential discontent; it's a drastic gamble." Rossweisse nodded.

"This sounds off, coming from an agent of the Holy Church turned into a Devil," Xenovia remarked before asking with some slight disbelief, "Is something like this even possible?"

"You're a Fallen Angel because you were a regular Angel who fell from grace. But a Devil? I don't know where to even start with that," Irina said in confusion.

"I hate long division," Gasper said, shaking his head. Karen patted his head.

"Me too, Gaspy," she said, smiling at her friend. The young girl then glared at her boss. "I thought I made it clear I don't want you having my brother as another one of your pawns."

"That you did, however we're veering off-topic," Azazel said. He brought everyone back to the main topic at hand. "We're just talking about the worst-case scenario here, which won't be an issue if you kids bring Rias back safe and sound."

"If she's trapped in the Dimensional Gap, then we have a narrow window of time to rescue her before this 'Dark Kenny' kills or corrupts her. Your decision, Sirzechs?" asked Ajuka, looking at his fellow Satan.

Sighing, Kenny looked at Sirzechs. Approaching the hologram, he looked slightly pleading. "Please, Sirzechs, I don't want to be a rogue, but I will do what I must for Rias. If going forward as a rogue gives me the right to go and get her back, I will gladly accept that role. No one else needs to suffer. Not because of me. I'll go it alone if I have to—"

All of a sudden, Kenny was surrounded by his friends. All of whom bowed their heads.

Akeno came up to stand in front of Kenny. "He won't be alone," she said, grabbing the hand of her boyfriend. "We owe Rias too much to abandon her."

"We're fully prepared to sacrifice anything we can to bring her home safely," Kiba said, lifting his head.

"Rias took me in when I had no one else and treated me like a little sister. There's no way I can sit back and do nothing as she suffers," Asia said on the verge of tears.

Looking up, Koneko was the next to speak. "Sirzechs, I remember making a promise the day you put me under your sister's care. I intend to make good on it. I swore I would protect her with my life if needed."

"She gave me a forever home," Gasper said with a determined look in his eyes. Karen blushed at the sight of him being brave.

"Rias Gremory gave me a new lease on life. Taking me in when I thought I had lost everything." Xenovia finished.

Staring at everyone, Kenny smiled slightly before turning to stare at Sirzechs. "You heard them. All we need is your command," he bowed his head.

Sirzechs stared at them all, considering their words and looking at them before sighing in defeat, realizing their conviction was as strong as their determination. He had not seen something like this since those days when all three races were determined to see Aku destroyed. And just like those days long past, it took one brave samurai—a mortal man to do what they could not.

"The worst Kenny's evil twin can do? Ragnarok? Awake Aku? At least we'll be taking out another one of his minions." Azazel gave a thin-lipped smile.

Sighing again, Sirzechs looked at the group not as one of the Four Great Satans but as a son of the Gremory family, an older brother pleading for fellow Devils to save someone dear to him.

"Please, save my little sister."

Kenny nodded. "I will."

Koneko said it herself. If she called her, Kuroka would come. There's no doubt about it.

So they waited. Outside the destroyed occult research club building with Koneko, Kenny stood with his eyes closed, wearing his white kimono. His senses were on high alert. All he had to do was wait as the wind blew through his hair.

The wait wasn't too long.

Feeling it before it appeared, Kenny opened his eyes as a familiar purple-like magical gate emerged from in front of the building. And from it, the gorgeous black-haired nekomata stepped out of it. "Heh, first you warn me to stay away, then you decide to call for me. Somebody's a little indecisive today," said Kuroka, smirking while looking down at the two.

"Not quite," Koneko said with a slight glare at her sister.

Kenny turned around to face the woman, scowling at her. "I did not come here to settle our previous fight, Kuroka," he said. The young man then bowed his head and put his hands together. "I humbly request your assistance."

Kuroka seemed a little taken aback at that. "What's a guy like you want?"

"Besides the pleasure of talking with a beautiful woman," Kenny said, trying to lighten the mood. "I need to meet with Vali."

Kuroka, however, looked at Kenny like he was crazy. "Surely you can't be serious."

"I am." Kenny nodded. "Bring him here."

"Ooh, a bit forceful. I like it," said Kuroka, licking her lips seductively. "I may consider helping you out."

"What's your demand?" asked Kenny. However, the answer was not that hard to figure out.

"Shirone has to come back with me," Kuroka said with a hand on her hip. But Koneko flinched a bit and stared back at her sister. "How is that surprising? I've tried to get her back before. Besides, what other bargaining chip are you bringing to the negotiation table? They say one good turn deserves another."

"I'm sorry," Kenny said as he placed a hand on Koneko's shoulder for reassurance, "but I can't allow that to happen. Koneko is staying where she belongs. With her family."

Koneko gives a small smile up at the samurai, relieved that she will not be used as a bargaining chip.

"Then we don't have a deal." Kuroka waved him off and turned to leave.

"Actually, I do have another thing to offer," Kenny said. "I think it may be more interesting to you than your little sister."

"Oh?" Kuroka asked, staring at him curiously.

Kenny walked up the steps of the destroyed building. He stopped in front of the nekomata and looked into the beautiful woman's cat-like eyes. "You asked me once to mate with you," he said, smirking flirtingly at Kuroka. "Well, here is your opportunity, then."

"Kenny, no—" Koneko began to protest but was halted when Kenny held a hand up.

"You want me to join your harem, nya?" Kuroka raised an eyebrow.

"Not exactly what I was expecting either. Call me a romantic, but I'm a lovemaker and a devoted lover, who loves all his girlfriends. I'm not the kind of guy to just fucks and leaves a girl with my kid," Kenny said, shrugging his shoulders. "But you're my only ticket to talking to Vali. So, how about this? We will go on a date and see how it goes."

Blushing, Kuroka thought about his offer, being very amused by it. Being the kind of person she was, the nekomata was not a person who fell in love quickly, nor was she looking for love. And yet this samurai was telling him to win his affection. In return, he may impregnate her. Given how he's resisted her attempts to seduce him, Kuroka knew that's what she must do if she wished to be bred by Kurosawa.

Though, it may be better than having her sister back. If she could not get her sister today, she could still have the samurai. Kenny was a strong man, and all thought they were enemies, Kuroka would've been lying if she said she wasn't attracted by his good heart. To be bred by him was one of her desires. It certainly was not a bad deal.

Smirking, she cupped his cheeks and licked Kenny's lips. "I think we can work something out," she said seductively.

"It's a date then," Kenny said, his face still close to her. Their lips close enough to kiss.

Kuroka pulled away from the samurai, still blushing. She then turned around, speaking to an empty area. "Feel free to jump in, Vali."

From behind Kuroka, a magical circle appeared and revealed the other three members of her team: Vali, Bikou, and Arthur.

Koneko rushed over to Kenny's side. "You've been listening, Vali?" asked Kenny, looking at the heir of Lucifer with a raised eyebrow.

"Heh, it's unsafe for a lady—and I use that term loosely—to be unescorted at night," Bikou smirked as he stared at Kuroka.

Frowning, she turned to face the Monkey King. "What are you trying to say, wise guy?"

"That you're quite the strumpet," Bikou teased, which caused the nekomata to pout and puff her cheeks with a blush.

Kenny ignored them and faced the White Dragon Emperor himself. "Vali, you don't like me, and I sure as hell don't like you. But I wouldn't be making a deal with you if I had any other options. I need to get into the Dimensional Gap, and you're going to help me."

"And if I were to refuse your request?" Vali asked with a smirk on his face.

Kenny glared at Vali and placed his left hand on his sheath. With his thumb, he pushed on the tsuba, making a faint clicking sound.

For a moment, there was silence.

"Message received." Then Vali held out his fist toward the samurai. "The ones involved with the Red and White Dragons have never had good lives. Don't you believe this to be destiny as well?"

Kenny smirked. "Unless you're talking about the video game, I don't play by destiny's rules. My story is mine to write."

Vali matched Kenny's smirk with his own. "You are a strong opponent, Kenny. A worthy one, in fact," he said, lowering his arm. "Arthur."

Walking forward, the descendant of the legendary King Arthur held out his right hand. Beneath his hand appeared golden light shards, forming a magical circle. Kenny was reminded of how this was the way Holy Swords were summoned, mostly whenever Xenovia called out Durandal. Kenny watched with caution as Arthur grabbed the handle of a sword. He pulled it up slowly until it was free. He held it up straight and presented it to the two Devils.

It was a majestic sword with a grip long enough to be a two-handed sword with a round pommel at the end, a colossal cross-like guard, and a long blade with a gold-colored edge.

"The Holy King Sword, Caliburn," Arthur revealed. "Passed down to the heirs of the Pendragon family. It bestows the power rule and cuts a path through dimensions."

"A path through dimension?" Kenny gasped. "So, you're really gonna take us then?"

"We'll take you to the Dimensional Gap," Vali told Kenny. "However, I cannot promise you'll survive long enough to return."

"Considering how most who go in there die," Bikou said, smiling.

Hearing this made Kuroka gasp and fear for her little sister's life. Seeing this, Kenny smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder. The black-haired nekomata looked at him in surprise while the young samurai gave her an expression of reassurance. Even though they were enemies, he knew Kuroka was still Koneko's sister and held her safety in high regard.

Turning back to the other men, he said, "I've faced the minions of Aku and at least two of you in combat. Whatever is in this realm, I will not fear it."

Kuroka and the rest of her team smirked at that, seeing the iron-strong conviction of Kenny. If only they weren't enemies, they could be powerful allies.

It took a while for everyone to gather, but when they arrived, the members of the ORC were ready to venture into the Dimensional Gap. Karen and the Phenex Maids wanted to come along, but Kenny and Azazel told them they had to stay behind. Explaining that if anyone had a chance of reaching Rias, it would be her boyfriend and peerage. It was a hard pill to swallow, but they agreed to stay with the Governor General, Irina, and Rossweisse.

Walking up to the group, Arthur nodded. "Take a moment to prepare yourselves. The trip is froth with danger."

"I'm ready when you are," Kenny said, crossing his arms. The others behind him nodded in agreement.

A few meters away at the tree line, Azazel smirked at the kids as he stood with Val. "I'm sending those kids into the jaws of death. Seems weird to thank you for your help."

"I give you my word. I have no intention of harming any of them. Kurosawa included," Vali said with his arms crossed, leaning against a tree.

"Meaning you have plans further down the line," Azazel said. Vali merely closed his eyes and smirked.

Arthur stabbed Caliburn into the ground, and the sword began to glow. Creating a bright golden circle underneath our group, as a prism-like shield appeared around us all.

"Now then…." Arthur said, letting go of the sword momentarily before pulling it free from the ground.

SLICE!

Turning around, he sliced a literal hole in the fabric of reality.

Peaking into the hole, all Kenny could see was an inky darkness before the vortex created by the portal sucked them all in. Swallowing them into the Dimensional Gap before the fabric of reality healed itself.

"Stupid Shirone." Kuroka stared at the space where her sister was before being taken. Thinking how foolish it was that she was attempting such a dangerous mission. But if put in the same situation, she would have done the same.

She silently wished her sister and Kenny a safe return.

As he and the others were pulled in, the samurai took his first look at the dimensional gap. It was a strange and surreal plain of existence, to say the least. The best way to describe it was like being inside a lava lamp.

"It's safe to say we've arrived," Koneko said, looking around.

Arthur, who was focused on his job, used the power of his sword to expand our safety bubble. Suddenly, the sword vanished into particles. "Stay within the light, leave the field, or the nothingness will swallow you. Be aware that this field will remain stable for one human world hour. Once the time limit is reached, you'll be ejected into our dimension."

Frowning, Kiba looked around. "One hour."

"It's not very long at all," Gasper said, a little concerned.

"Arthur, how can we find Rias here if the Dimensional Gap is infinite? How can we find her inside this field?" Kenny asked, looking at the blonde heir of the legendary monarch.

"It's about conviction. The strength of the gap can ebb and flow, but not for the weak of the heart. Make sure to steel your heart against its forces." He said, lowering his eyebrows slightly.

"But what does that mean?" Akeno asked, confused.

"If I were to explain further, then my warning would be meaningless. This is the extent of the help I can offer. I'll come back in an hour. Tata." He turned around and walked through a black circle. Vanishing from sight.

"How should we start searching for a place where right and left are completely meaningless?" Xenovia asked with a slight frown. The winds of the realm made her skirt lift slightly.

"No, it's not only left or right; I can't tell what's up or down," Gasper said as he looked around, confused.

Holding her hands in a praying position, Asia looked as confused as everyone else. "Steel our hearts against it? But how? Against what?"

"Not for the weak of heart," Akeno said, looking down. Kenny looked at his mistress. "I was just thinking about that warning Arthur gave us before he left."

"So, share," Koneko said, staring at the older teen.

"We are in a space where the laws of physics no longer apply. Therefore, distance and direction are meaningless concepts here." Akeno said, looking at her beloved samurai.

"Of course, then maybe…." Kiba trailed off.

"What, Kiba?" Gasper asked, staring up at the knight.

Akeno smiled brightly and gasped Kenny's hand. "That Rias will definitely come, no doubts about it," the mistress said.

"Our feelings will summon her. Giving her a way to find us," Kiba said, staring at Kenny. "That's where you must be the brightest beacon, Kenny.

Realizing what he meant, Kenny closed his eyes and turned his thoughts to Rias. His mind began reminding the samurai why he sliced her so much. No matter how dark things got, he'd always be with her. His crimson-haired princess was always on his mind. Rias was the light of his life, and the love for her burned in his heart.

Sensing his love coming, he opened his eyes. "Here she comes!"

Slowly, a black circle appeared within the light of the protection bubble. Stepping out of it was Rias with her devil wings out. A cloak of dangerous red aura flowed around her body as she stared off into the void.

"It's her," Kenny said in relief.

"Rias, is it really you?" Akeno asked eagerly.

However, Rias didn't answer her friends. The heiress turned to look at Kenny and gave him and the others a dangerous half-smile. A smile she'd never given him. That was enough for Kenny to be alarmed, as his relief was short-lived. Something was not right with his beloved princess, and he figured Dark Kenny must have done something to her to make her seem like a completely different person. She was still under Loki's curse, which meant this could turn into a dangerous situation.

"Rias, we found you," Xenovia said with relief.

"Come with us," Gasper begged.

"I'm so glad!" Asia floated past all of us and headed toward Rias with a smile.

"Asia, wait!" Kenny tried to stop her.

However, Rias had other ideas.

BLAST!

As she held out her hand, the redhead summoned a magical circle and sent a blast of destruction power toward the former nun.

"Look out!" Akeno, who got there faster than Kenny, pulled the blonde aside as the black and crimson ball of destruction flew past the others and into the void.

"It can't be." Asia stared in shock.

"What? Is she some kind of imposter?" Gasper asked wide-eyed.

"Afraid not, it's the real Rias, Gaspy," Koneko said with a slight frown.

"Yes, Koneko's right. That's definitely the aura of a Gremory," Kenny said, his face mirroring Koneko's expression as he stared at his girlfriend. "That's Rias."

"We need to be careful," Akeno said. "She's not herself right now."

That was all but an understatement as the entire team jumped out of the way just as Rias blasted again. Evidently, whatever was happening to her was not of her own making. No one like her would just fire blasts of her Power of Destruction at her servants on a whim. It wasn't in her nature to attack the people she loved.

"Maybe she's under someone else's control?" Xenovia suggested.

"Someone's in control?" asked Gasper, wide-eyed and freaked out. "But how?"

Kenny didn't provide his friends an answer as he floated in front of Rias. "Rias, my love, it's me, Kenny. You need to snap out of it, Rias. Loki's controlling you, so please." Kenny pleaded with his girlfriend.

BLAST!

She fired at Kenny again. The samurai didn't draw his blade and tilted his head to the side. The attack went straight over his shoulder.

"Come on, we need to get her to safety before the field wears off," Akeno said with a slight frown.

Nodding, both Kiba and Xenovia summoned their weapons. Together, they floated off to the side to distract the girl. Rias attempted to blast them but missed.

"Lightning Strike!" Akeno summoned a bolt of lightning from the sky with her right arm. She then summoned a blue bolt of lightning in her left arm.

ZAAPP!

The black-haired beauty sent both lightning bolts to strike at Rias. However, the redhead blocked it with her magic. Seeing his opening, Gasper used his powers to freeze time around Rias. Koneko and Kenny floated in to grab her.

However, the purple aura around Rias vanished.

"I can't do it!" Gasper cried in shock. "I can't stop time…"

"In here, time and space are irrelevant," Akeno said with a frown, just as Asia gasped in shock.

Kenny's eyes widened when he felt a strange power coming from his main girlfriend. Rias's aura grew larger and more dangerous as her body began to glow a strange red color.

"This is bad! Everyone, retreat!" Akeno shouted as Gasper vanished into a flock of bats.

"No, I'm not leaving—" Kenny started to say as he tried to get closer to Rias, but Xenovia and Kiba both grabbed him by the arms and pulled me away. Not a moment too soon.

BLAST!

Rias' body let out a massive explosion of energy. Covering the entire area with her destructive powers.

"Holy shit… Asia, Akeno, you guys okay!?" Kenny shouted, fearing the blast had killed his two lovers.

Thankfully, they were okay, even when they were caught up in the blast. "We're fine," Akeno said. She, too, was shocked that she and Asia floated into range surrounded by a massive white barrier. Looking down at the Bishop, she noticed something in Asia's hand that was glowing purple.

It was a dagger with a purple jewel.

"Cool, doohickey. Did it make the barrier?" Akeno asked.

"Fafnir shrouded us in his protective light," Asia said, grateful as she grabbed the spear.

Staring at it in shock, Kenny gasped. "That's the Downfall Dragon's Spear… Azazel's artificial sacred gear. How did you get that?"

"Azazel gave it to me," Asia revealed. "He said he felt I'd need it just in case.

Gasper pulled himself back together and looked at the dagger in shock. "That's neat, but what about the light coming from Rias?" The vampire pointed to the redhead as her power continued cloaking her voluptuous body.

"This is the power that gave her the title Ruin Princess. Up until now, her power and aura were released whenever she felt a surge of emotions." Akeno explained to others.

Kenny turned back to Rias with wide eyes. "However, this time it's different," he said as the love of his life unleashed her powers.

"The opposite is true," Xenovia commented.

"Something is keeping her from using her power to its fullest; if her power were at its fullest, there wouldn't be a safe place to hide within this field. We would all be dead." Akeno then turned to look at Kenny with a frown. "Your balance breaker could protect you."

Kenny called out his beloved redhead. "Rias! Please focus on the sound of my voice. We're here to take you home. Please calm down, my love!"

Rias tilted her head slightly in her friend's direction.

"I thought so. She can still hear us," Koneko said, seeing what Kenny saw.

"So, what do we do?" Xenovia asked, looking at the small girl.

Koneko wasted no time and followed Kenny's example. "Please, Rias! Remember us!" Rias' head soon turned to face her friends fully. Her expression gave pause to what she was doing.

"She's reacting," Akeno said in shock.

"We have to remind her of who she is!" Kenny exclaimed.

"You're the one that gave me my new name. I won't forget that day as long as I live!" Koneko called out, trying to reach the redhead. Her mind replaying the day she was brought to Rias, and how the princess offered her a life of love and friendship.

"I was lost, but you gave me a wonderful new life. I will always appreciate everything you've done for me." Asia said, holding her hands together with a smile, remembering how she was brought back to life and accepted Rias' proposal to be her bishop. "You're the best sister I ever had."

Rias still wasn't moving. They had to try harder.

"If you hadn't come along and found me, I would have walked the earth alone as a pariah; even worse, I might have died on the streets," Gasper said with a pleading tone in his attempt to reach Rias, remembering how the heiress rescued him from his disparity.

Kiba held up his fist and looked at it. The night he'd escaped still haunted his soul, yet when all hope seemed lost, it was Rias who took away the pain. "When I was dying and in pain, you took me in and saved me twice over when I was consumed with hate."

"You got to wake up!" Xenovia called, remembering the day she approached Rias, lost after learning the truth about God. "You gave me a new life when I believed everything was lost."

"You have to remember, remember my voice," Akeno said, desperately wanting her best friend to remember everything she's done for her. How she saved her when she was being hunted by her mother's clan. "My face."

Kenny, too, caught Rias' gaze. He floated close to her as he pleaded with her. "Rias, look at me. You know me. And I know all about you. You hate sleeping alone. You wear glasses to read. Your favorite food is strawberry cake. And most of all, you love me as much as I love you," he said gently. "You're Rias Gremory, the daughter of Zeoticus and Venelana. I love you, Rias, with all my heart. I can't imagine a world without you, and I would rather commit Seppuku than live in that world. Please, remember who you are and come back to us!"

The samurai stared at his beloved redhead's eyes as she stared back at him.

And then a miracle happened.

Tears began to fall down her face.

"Rias!" Kenny and Akeno said at the same time.

Rias stared at him. "K-Kenny?"

"I'm here, Rias," the samurai confirmed and floated towards his girlfriend. "It's me."

However, celebrations were cut short.

BLAST!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!" Rias suddenly screamed in pain as a powerful blast of energy nearly hit Kenny.

"What the hell? Rias, no!" He cried, but his words fell on deaf ears. For what he saw next, he could only watch helplessly in horror with the others.

As Rias emerges from the energy, her new appearance is shown for them to see. Rias was covered head to toe in a female version of my scale-mail armor and a mix of dragon armor as some parts showed off her body; her devil wings and red hair were also exposed.

"I'm guessing that trick's new," Xenovia said in shock.

"It looks like a less protective version of Kenny's balance breaker!" Gasper exclaimed.

"How can that be?" Asia questioned.

"Her armor… It gives off the same aura that Kenny did when he went berserk." Koneko commented.

Gasping, Akeno's eyes went wide. "Loki…Dark Kenny was just the beginning. He wanted to break Kenny by making him fight Rias."

BASH!

In her new armor, Rias blasted Kenny with her Power of Destruction. Drawing out his sword, the samurai blocked the blast before it could hit him. However the force of the blast thrusted him back, past everyone else, as they were taken aback and shocked by the fierce attack. Gritting his teeth, Kenny held up the Sword as he tried to push back. Luckily, despite floating in a void, he felt his feet drag across solid, invisible ground and brought himself to a stop.

The attack by his girlfriend was a massive shock to Kenny and the others. Never once had Rias attacked him out of nowhere. The shock of the attack allowed Rias to fly straight towards the group, causing them to get out of the way as she passed them. Turning around, the redhead aimed a magical blast at Gasper, Koneko, and Asia.

Xenovia rushed in and blocked it with Durandal. However, she was barely able to hold herself against the attack. The blast knocked her back, and the others had to catch her.

"Xenovia!" Kenny cried out to her, worried for the beautiful knight.

The blue-haired girl groaned in pain. "There's something different… about that attack," Xenovia commented.

"You have to get a hold of yourself!" Akeno desperately called out to her friend.

BLAST!

Rias' response was to fire at her next.

The black-haired girl tried to block the attack, but Rias's power was much stronger than before. It broke Akeno's shield and pushed her back. Luckily, Kenny flew over and caught her.

He looked down at Akeno with a frown. "Akeno, are you alright?"

"Yeah," She nodded before she turned to face her samurai lover with a look of plea. She knew it would be difficult to ask him for what she wanted, but she had to do it. "Kenny, you need to save Rias. I've been thinking about what Arthur said about how the Dimensional Gap is greatly affected by our hearts. If that's the case, you're the only one who can bring her back. Please, bring my friend back."

"I will. But I don't know how," Kenny said.

Akeno looked at him with regret. "You'll have to fight her," she said, her heart breaking as she saw the samurai's eyes widen.

Fight Rias? The idea was alien to Kenny.

Never in his imagination would the Samurai ever attack the woman he loved. His heart, however, understood that it was the right thing to do, even if fighting Rias was a bitter and upsetting feeling.

The samurai was silent, and Akeno knew he was conflicted with himself. She gently touched his cheek, wanting her love to understand what had to be done to save her best friend. "I know you don't want to fight her, my love. But you're the only one who has a chance against her. I also know she wants you to rescue her."

"You can do it, Kenny." Asia stared at him with tears in her eyes. "Fight to free her."

As he understood what he had to do, Kenny nodded as he slowly made his way toward Rias. Swiping his hand on the blade of his sword, he summoned his Sacred Gear in his left hand.

[Boost!]

"I'm going to save you, Rias," Kenny muttered as his body was consumed by the dark power of the Welsh Dragon, making him don his Scale-Mail armor.

[Welsh Dragon: BALANCE BREAKER!]

As Rias extended her right hand, Kenny watched silently as a katana, similar to the Sword of Righteousness, appeared in Rias' hand. The possessed woman grabbed the sword and took up a fighting stance.

Ready for what would likely be the most emotionally challenging fight he'll endure, Kenny charged toward the possessed Rias. The armored redhead flew in return at him.

CLASH!

Both katanas clashed as sparks flew from the blades. Their clash of power resulted in the destruction of the energy field that was protecting everyone. The remaining members of Rias' peerage flew far away from the battle, knowing that there was not much they could do and that it was too dangerous for them to remain in the Dimensional Gap any longer.

"Why is it getting dark?" Xenovia asked while looking around.

Akeno said in shock, "The field's down."

"It's from the power of their attacks," said Kiba, looking around in shock, too. "Looks like they disrupted the stability of the rift."

Asia looked down and gasped. A black hole had suddenly appeared beneath her and began to suck her in like a strong vacuum. She screamed for help as Xenovia quickly flew down and reached for her.

"Asia!" She screamed and grabbed her. However, this also placed her in the path of the black hole's pull. Soon, everyone else was also pulled in as well. The Twilight of the Gods will destroy everything if Kenny doesn't stop Rias. Ragnorak will be the doom of everything.

"It's not over…" Akeno said as she watched the battle between Rias and Kenny while also being pulled in. "Bring her home, my love."

Clash! Clash! Clash! Clash! Clash! Clash! Clash!

Kenny and the possessed Rias crashed into each other over and over again. Their swords traded blows with one another, influenced by their incredible power.

CLASH!

Both katanas locked blades. Kenny's arms struggled to push against the incredibly powerful of his love. It could only mean that their powers were now rivaling each other. No matter what Kenny did to fight her, she would counter him every step of the way. A battle like this would last for an eternity within the Dimensional Gap. However, time was already running out for either of them. Kenny needed to end this fight quickly before all was lost.

As the samurai fought Rias, his mind drifted back to past memories. Memories filled with Rias.

His first interaction with Rias after he'd protected her while they fell down. He still remembered the first time he'd laid his eyes on her, becoming awestruck by her beauty.

Kenny's first kiss with her was when she wore her wedding dress after Kenny stopped the wedding with Riser.

The first time they had a night of passion and lust was after their first date when Kenny and Rias confessed their love for one another. Those good memories overwhelmed his mind, bringing with them pleasant feelings.

BLAST!

Rias blasted at Kenny with her Power of Destruction, but the samurai absorbed it into the Sword's blade. Kenny yelled as he swung his sword down, sending the attack back at her. However, Rias dodged and flew out of his sight.

Kenny looked around, desperate to find her.

WHIP!

Suddenly, Rias wrapped her spiked tail around Kenny's neck from behind. She then threw her love, sending him flying before firing a blast of her magic.

SLAM!

"AGGH!" Kenny yelled in agony as it hit him in the back. Even with his armor, he still felt the incredible power hitting him. Biting back the pain, he got back on his feet and readjusted his senses before returning to fighting Rias.

The memories of the good times he had with his beloved come rushing through him like a wild river.

"The Crimson-Haired Ruin-Princess and the Red Dragon Samurai–a fitting name for the one I want to be perfectly matched with."

CLASH!

The two combatants flew past each other. Their swords struck one another. Kenny and Rias turned back towards each other and bolted.

"…Silly boy," Rias said, looking down sadly at Kenny's left arm, which was still covered in the red scale gauntlet. She placed a hand on it. "To give up your arm, just for me."

"Yeah," Kenny said bitterly, turning his hand over so that he could gently hold hers. "It was a good deal. It's not going away, but I'll live."

"…You may have broken this engagement, Kenny, but I promise you that there'll be a new engagement that'll be brought up, believe me. If you keep doing this…." She was stopped when Kenny's right hand cupped her cheek, making her gasp a little and look at him with wide eyes.

That night, they shared their second kiss under the moon of the underworld. On that day, Rias realized that Kenny would risk everything, just for her because he loved her.

BAM

"GAH!"

Kenny shouted in pain as he was hit by another one of Rias' attacks. Though his Balance Breaker armor had protected him, it still hurt like hell.

"Can I ask you something?" Rias asked, her voice muffled by Kenny's pillow.

"Go ahead," Kenny said, standing beside the bed."

"Are you happy to have met me?" It was a question he never would have imagined her asking. I'm happy to have met you, Kenny. A life without you is impossible. I love you with all my heart, and I don't intend to change that."

Rias charged in with her sword raised to strike. However, she used her own version of Kenny's Red Dragon Slash, using her red demonic power. Kenny managed to dodge it and move away, but there was so much conflict within his mind. He just could not bring himself to harm Rias, possessed or not. She was his life partner against the forces of evil.

He knew what he had to do. However, Kenny wasn't sure if he could do it. Not to Rias.

"I've watched you, Kenny. I've watched as you've grown stronger with every loss and win. I've seen the strength and bravery you have. And every time I see that part of you, I feel like everything is going to be okay. That's why I came to you that night. Because I know that with you, I feel safe and powerful, yet weak and fragile. You've given me a sense of hope, Kenny. Hope that I dream of every night I'm in your arms."

"And I feel the same way," Kenny muttered before he stared at Rias. Desperately, he tries to reach her. "Rias! I fight for you because you are everything to me. I would do anything to save you, even if it means death. Even if I were damned for all eternity just to see you happy, I would do it. I am your samurai, and I will always be yours!"

He grasped his sword with both hands and pointed it at Rias. Then Kenny poured every ounce of his power into it. Making the blade glow white.

When their lungs began begging for air, the couple ended their make-out session and pulled away. Both panted a little, as Rias touched her head with Kenny's. Her eyes gleamed with both love and lust. "I love you too, Kenny. I loved you, ever since that night."

With his sword glowing brightly, Kenny opened his wings and flew towards the redhead. Rias soon charged in with her sword at the ready. At the same time, Kenny felt his armor snap into pieces and vanish from his body.

"RIAS!" He screamed, charging in, meeting her in the middle.

"I love you so much, my cute samurai."

STAB

"I love you too, my princess."

Both swords were plunged into both opponents. The Sword of Righteousness stabbed Rias right under her chest, while Kenny was stabbed in the left shoulder. His possessed girlfriend had missed her target: his heart.

Kenny panted as he looked at where he'd stabbed Rias. There was no blood, and the Sword was still glowing. Groaning in pain with his teeth clenched, Kenny carefully extracted the blade from Rias. Once it was freed, the samurai pulled his shoulder from the clone sword.

At that moment, the scale-mail armor on Rias started to crack and break away from her body. Slipping in half and leaving Rias free from it, in all her naked glory. The wound Kenny had inflicted on her was glowing before closing up.

The moment she saw her samurai, tears filled her beautiful blue eyes. "Kenny!" Rias cried as she dropped the fake sword and flew straight into his arms. Wrapping her arms around his neck, as the couple held each other tightly, afraid to let go of their lover. The redhead hugged Kenny so hard, having missed him as much as he missed her. "My darling love, you came for me. Thank you! You saved my life."

Laughing with tears in his eyes, Kenny wrapped his arms around her bare waist. "Yes. I got you back, Rias."

However, the joy of their reunion was short-lived.

Kenny opened his eyes and gasped in shock. What was left of the armor around Rias was floating towards the copy of his family sword. The shards spun around it like a vortex as the weapon stood straight. Then, in a glow of bright lights, the armor took the form of Dark Kenny, who smirked at the two lovers.

"Well, it was fun while it lasted," Dark Kenny said.

"Enough games!" Kenny yelled, wrapping one arm around Rias as he pointed the Sword at his doppelganger. "It's time for you to pay!"

Back at the destroyed ORC building, everyone sat by the steps, wondering how the fight within the Dimensional Gap between Rias and Kenny was going. Vali and his group were still there, too, standing off to the side.

"I'm relieved you're all safe," Rossweisse said, attending to the group and helping heal them.

"I'm still trying to figure out how you guys popped out of nowhere," Karen said, hugging Gasper as they sat together on the steps.

"Yeah, but Kenny's still stuck in there," Irina said, looking at Xenovia worriedly.

The blue-haired girl nodded in understanding. However, she still cursed herself, "To think we could not help Kenny free her. It pains me that we cannot do anything to help Rias."

"How could this even happen, though?" asked Gasper. "Why did Rias suddenly have Scale-Mail?"

Azazel walked up to the group and explained the situation. "It's Loki. Somehow, he's managed to get his hands on a powerful fragment of Kenny's armor left over during his transformation. All while using a curse learned by Aku."

"Aku was the one that taught him how to make Dark Kenny?" Kiba asked.

"Aku had taught many tricks to those who chose to ally with him during his rule. Loki wanted to bring down Ragnarok, and Aku thought it would further his plans to reshape the world in his image."

"And now, with Aku gone, Loki is trying to finish the job," Akeno said bitterly.

Arthur approached the group. "Excuse me, but I believe it's time to see if your friends are still in one piece," he said, an hour having passed since Kenny entered the Dimensional Gap.

SHIING!

Kenny gasped and turned around. Behind him was a portal. Just like the one Arthur was able to create with his sword.

"Quickly, through there!" Kenny said to Rias. Together, they floated over. "It'll take you back to the others."

As soon as Rias looked at Kenny, she saw he'd stopped. That's when she realized what he'd said and what he was about to do. "Wait, Kenny, don't—"

However, Kenny caught her off guard when he pulled her into a kiss. It was filled with all his passion and love for her as the samurai held her naked body. He never wanted to let her go, but at this moment, he had no other option.

"I'm sorry, Rias. I love you," Kenny said apologetically….

…before pushing Rias through the portal.

"Kenny, no!" Rias cried as she was pulled through the portal. Helpless to stop the portal from pulling her out of the Dimensional Gap before closing.

"Rias!" Rias' friends shouted when the naked woman landed on the ground, running towards her.

Rias lifted herself up on her knees and hands, still recovering from her possession. "Rias. Where's Kenny?" asked Akeno as she knelt at her best friend's side.

"He… He pushed me through the portal," Rias said in a quiver. "So that… he could face Dark Kenny." The redhead princess groaned in exhaustion as Xenovia helped her up. She tried to stand up, as her regular school clothes magically materialized on her body.

"Rias, you should rest," Xenovia urged. "You haven't recovered from the curse."

"No!" Rias shouted, her eyes widened with fear. "I have to go back! I won't rest until Kenny comes back. I will not abandon him!"

"I wouldn't recommend it," Arthur said, approaching the young woman. "A battle like theirs would rip through the Dimensional Gap, making it even more dangerous to return."

"Are you saying I just have to sit back and wait!?" Rias snapped at the Pendragon heir. The idea of leaving Kenny to fight alone was out of the question.

"I'm saying that your lover is more than capable of destroying his doppelganger," Arthur said, trying to give the troubled redhead encouragement.

"Agree," Rossweisse said. "We should all pray for his success."

Xenovia nodded. "Good idea," she said to the silver-haired woman before they both put their hands together in prayer. Asia and Irina joined in as well. As for the other Devils and Karen, while they did not pray to a dead God or Heaven itself, they still wished Kenny luck in their hearts. Praying that he would return to them.

Both swords clashed in the Dimensional Gap, causing sparks to fly as they struck one another. The two mighty warriors zipped across the void at high speeds, dodging, parrying, and blocking each other's attacks.

"AAAH!" Dark Kenny yelled as he flew toward the samurai with his sword raised.

Clash!

Kenny blocked the attack, but his evil counterpart slashed his weapon against the Sword two more times. Afterward, he changed his swing and tried cutting Kenny's head off. However, the samurai ducked his head.

"GRRRAAA!" Dark Kenny yelled in frustration and charged.

SWIPE! SWISH! SLASH!

With fast slashes and hacks, Dark Kenny attacked wildly at the samurai. Kenny quickly dodged all the attacks by moving his body to the right and left. However, as he evaded the attacks, the clone only got angrier.

Then, Dark Kenny rammed into Kenny's chest with his shoulder. Throwing him off his balance. The clone then slashed at him with his sword.

SLICE!

"AAAAAH!" Kenny yelled as he was cut across the left arm. He kicked his evil clone away and moved away quickly.

As the two opponents stopped and stared at one another, the intensity of their anger grew. Kenny glared at his counterpart with all the hatred he felt for him. Dark Kenny smirked at him with evil intent.

Kenny changed to his evil self and swung his blade at his chest. But Dark Kenny aggressively bashed his sword away and caught Kenny off guard with another slash across his skin that drew blood. This time, it was done to his right arm.

"It hurts, doesn't it?" taunted the clone with a wicked smirk. "I love your fire, samurai. No wonder Loki wants you dead. And trust me, you're going to die in this realm."

"I can't think of a better place to take off your head!" Kenny said. The young samurai warrior yelled as he flew over the clone and dived down at him. He slashed and sliced the Sword at Dark Kenny with fast speed and tremendous power. But the clone blocked all attacks with his sword.

The two opponents dashed all over the Dimensional Gap. Their swords clashed as they crossed paths, creating sparks that spread across the void.

SLASH!

"Gah!" The clone yelled in pain and clenched his chest.

Kenny turned back to see the enormous wound he'd inflicted on his opponent. A bleeding gash that had blood flowing from it.

"Grrr!" Dark Kenny growled like a rabid animal at the real samurai.

"AAAAAAAH!" Kenny yelled as he changed towards his evil clone.

"GRRAAAAA!" Dark Kenny yelled as he charged towards the real samurai.

CLASH!

The two samurai passed one another as their swords clashed. Flying a few yards away from one another, they turned towards each other.

Kenny charged at the evil clone.

"Damn you!" Dark Kenny yelled. He unleashed a barrage of Red Dragon Slashs with his sword at the samurai.

"I don't think so!" Kenny yelled.

Slash!

Kenny slashed through the first Red Dragon Slash with his pure sword. The two halves passed by him, varied off course, and exploded. Causing ripples that echoed across the Dimensional Gap. Disturbing the peace and quiet of the realm.

Continuing to fly towards the doppelganger, Kenny cut through every Red Dragon Slash that came at him. His righteous and pure blade sliced through the tainted and corrupting power of the fake sword. Causing more explosions to go off all around him.

When he was up close to the clone, Kenny swung his sword down at the clone, unintentionally firing off his own Red Dragon Slash that flew off into the distance.

Dark Kenny quickly turned himself back around and charged at Kenny. Once again, their swords clashed furiously. However, while they were able to block each other, some of their slashes passed their defenses and cut into their clothes and skin. Sending blood across the Dimensional Gap. And as they fought and increased their speed and strength, so too did their anger and hatred.

"Red Dragon…!" Kenny chanted, powering up his down to unleash his signature attack.

"Red Dragon…!" Dark Kenny does the same, powering his own arch of energy.

The two charged at one another.

"SLASH!"

CLASH! KA-BBBBOOOOOOMMMM!

Both powered-up swords collided to create a titanic explosion that shook the world around them.

Both combatants were sent flying back across the void; their bodies were cut up in multiple places that matched with one another. The same wounds in the same area. Their hair was wild and out of control, looking more like demonically possessed madmen. And yet, at the same time, in the same manner, they flipped over on their fronts and shot out their legs behind them. Stopping their movements as they glared at one another with wild eyes. Their swords were still glowing with their powers.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Kenny and Dark Kenny flew at one another, going at breakneck speeds. Dark Kenny held his sword up high, and Kenny held his sword to the side.

CLASH!

Another explosion of power rocked the Dimensional Gape. However, their fight was taking its toll on the void.

SLICE!

Off in the distance, a giant, glowing white scar formed in the fabric of reality before closing itself.

When their blade clashed again, the Kennys opened up another scar in the Dimensional Gap. However, just as soon as it opened, it closed. And this repeated over and over again.

First, the Kennys would strike at each other's swords.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

And then scars will appear in the Dimensional Gap, closing themselves as soon as they appear. But it didn't matter to the two samurai warriors as they fought ferociously with their powered-up swords. They continued to hatch and slash at one another, spilling blood across the void. One moment, it was Dark Kenny attacking, then it'll be the real Kenny after him. Both were evenly matched and extremely powerful.

And then, one clash later, it happened.

Rias' eyes snapped open as she felt a massive amount of energy in the air. It wasn't just her that felt the power. The others around her, including Vali's team, felt the power and looked around, confused.

"What was that," Rossweisse asked.

BOOOOOM!

Suddenly, one of the Dimensional Gap's scars opened up in front of Rias and her peerage. Sending them screaming and flying back toward the school. They landed on the ground, groaning in pain, as the rift closed with a sonic boom.

Rias grunted as she lifted her head and looked at what caused the phenomenon. That's when she found herself staring at Kenny and Dark Kenny glared at one another with furious eyes devoid of any other desire than to kill one another.

Looking at her beloved samurai with wide eyes filled with shock, Rias saw Kenny holding his sword low to the ground. His kimono was in tatters, with the top part completely gone. Leaving him shirtless, with his body displaying freshly inflicted scars. His hair, which once flowed down his back and was so soft to touch, stood up and formed like a raging fire.

Rias turned her attention to the dark counterpart of her lover. His wounds were the exact same as those of Kenny, in the exact same place. Even his hair was standing up.

The two warriors stood in silence for an extended period of time, until…

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Kenny screamed a battle cry as he started charging at Dark Kenny. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Dark Kenny screamed his own battle cry as he charged at Kenny.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Kenny yelled as he raised his sword above his head.

Dark Kenny yelled as he raised his sword above his head. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

Both swung their swords down at one another and…

There was a twinkle of light before…

KKKKKAAAAAAAAAA—BBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!

… An absolutely tremendous amount of bright energy exploded from the two swords. Blasting away everything and everyone. Rias, the Occult Research Club, Rossweisse, Azazel, the Phenex Maids, and Team Vali were sent flying off their feet, as the energy of the two Welsh Dragon users destroyed everything around them. Trees were burned away, and the already destroyed clubhouse was ripped apart and burned down by the inferno.

The crimson-haired woman stopped herself from being blown away too far by summoning a magic barrier. She landed against it and looked at her beloved. "KENNY!" Rias screamed as her clothes were torn apart.

In the raging inferno of power, she saw the two samurai. The real Kenny was blocking a downward chop from Dark Kenny.

"KENNY!"

The moment Kenny heard his beloved girlfriend's cry, he opened his eyes and looked at her reflection on the blade of his sword. She looked so scared, but why? He saved her from the Dimensional Gap and would rip Dark Kenny apart and feed him his heart for taking her.

…Wait, what? Where did that come from?

Kenny moved his gaze down the length of the katana until he saw himself in the sword. Becoming shocked by the sight of himself. Shocked by his animalistic behavior and ruthless appearance. What was he becoming? This wasn't like him. This wasn't the man his Rias or his girls fell in love with. And this wasn't the samurai warrior he was hoping to be.

That's when Kenny saw a vision.

He saw a lonely tree entirely on fire. While it looked like a regular flame, it was unlike any fire he'd ever felt before. It felt angry and wrathful, like a vortex of pain and suffering that exuded a deep sense of rage and anger. But it wasn't just on fire on the outside. It was as if every single piece of bark was an inferno. No, there was a fire inside the tree itself!

Kenny's eyes were wide open with shock, and the realization set in for him. He closed his eyes and took deep breaths. The more he took, the more the inferno died down. And in his vision, the fire was soon extinguished when a wall of water fell over the flames like a curtain. The tree disappeared, and what was left in its place was a beautiful waterfall of clear water that flowed into a peaceful forest.

Yes, now Kenny understood what he must do.

He closed his eyes. The sword creaked as they were pushed against one another until Kenny pushed his dark counterpart back, sending him flying away.

When he landed, Dark Kenny was confused by what the real samurai was able to do. "What?"

With his eyes closed, Kenny sheathed his back into the sheath, and his hair fell back to normal. He deactivated his Boosted Gear and placed his hands together.

Then, all of a sudden, without any kind of explanation, the fire around him faded away, and the vegetation grew back to normal. Birds started chirping and flying around overhead.

"What the hell is going on?!" Dark Kenny yelled at him. Even the others were just as confused as they looked around.

"You have lost," Kenny said peacefully. "The battle is over."

"WHAT?!"

"You are my inner demon. You have been born from the hatred within me. And now, that hatred is no more. Thus…" Kenny opened his eyes and scowled at the clone. "…you do not exist."

"FOOL! I AM real! Now feel the reality of my cold, hard steel!" Dark Kenny yelled as he grinned, held up his sword, and grinned insidiously. Then he charged at Kenny. "RRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"
