Life was back to normal for Kenny Kurosawa—relativity speaking. After all, life being normal was rare for him. Primarily being destined to save the world as Samurai Jack's descendant, being the Red Dragon Emperor, and being in a relationship with many women. Rarely does he have to deal with the trials and tribulations of high school. However, with everything that'd been going on, he'd not been keeping up with his school work like he should have and failed a test. Luckily, his teacher allowed him to take extra credit work to make up for his poor grades. He was the only one who had failed the test, so it was only he and the teacher who were in the classroom together.
Though, the teacher was not someone he'd expected to be.
Sighing, Rossweisse shook her head. "I can't believe you need a makeup test. Seriously, I looked at your grades, and they were excellent. How could you have fallen so far?" The gorgeous silver-haired woman said with her arms crossed, staring at Kenny as he worked on the makeup test she gave him.
That's right. Despite being the same age as Kenny and Rias, 18-19, Rossweisse was the newest member of the school's faculty. Becoming a teacher in Kenny's classroom.
The samurai was happy that she had found employment at the school, thanks to the help of Rias and his headmaid, Yubelluna. However, Rossweisse was a little strict ever since she became a teacher. She'd also changed her outfit from her normal gray pantsuit to a tan suit jacket, a white dress shirt with a blue tie, a black skirt, pantyhose, and heels all black.
"Well, it doesn't help that Loki tried to destroy the world," Kenny said, writing down his answers. She meant well, and Kenny liked her company. Rossweisse was a fun girl to be around and very cute when she laughed, even though she could be strict when working as a teacher.
"That's no excuse for bad grades," the teacher scolded, looking away. "If you do badly, you could end up being held back. As your teacher, I won't allow this. I will make sure you pass." Rossweisse declaimed, pumping her fist.
Kenny wasn't sure why, but he felt she was just trying to pump herself up. But he couldn't really blame her, as her self-esteem was in the trash can before she moved into the house. Becoming a permanent resident in the Kurosawa home. However, she didn't just become Kenny's new teacher. Rossweisse was now Rias' newest Rookie.
It all started a few days ago; after Kenny and Rias returned home from their vacation, the princess brought everyone to the rebuilt clubhouse for a special meeting. When they arrived, they saw Rossweisse sitting on one couch and Rias sitting on the other.
Taking out a stack of papers, Rias passed them along to her. "Here you go, it's a summary of the benefits package for the servants of the Gremory household."
Taking the papers, Rossweisse looked them over for a brief moment. What she saw made her gasp. "No way! The insurance premiums are so cheap!" The woman said in shock, her cheeks blushing."And no turn-life policy, mumbo jumbo? Valhalla never offered dental or paid vacation days."
"I know," Rias said, smiling. Behind her, the members of her peerage stood and watched the interaction.
"If Rias wanted to, she could find work as an insurance rep. Or a lawyer," Kenny said, rubbing the back of his head as he smiled at the back of her head. Once again, Rias was about to leave her boyfriend impressed by her abilities.
"She's actually buying a Valkyrie on the cheap." Kiba chuckled with a smile.
"And the devil's whispers were woven with temptation. I could learn a lot from her," Xenovia said with a devilish smirk. Standing next to her, Akeno and Irina laughed.
"So, what do you think?" Rias smiled, holding out a rook piece. "Sign up with team Gremory for the big win. The Underworld would be glad to have you."
"You're really going to make her one of your evil pieces," asked Irina.
Kenny nodded and said, "Kind of an unusual choice."
"Not in this case," Akeno said, the mistress of the samurai looking at her boyfriend with a smile. "Right now, Rias and I are the only wizard spell-type casters our squad has on the roster."
"She compliments our style." Koneko nodded.
Smirking, Kenny nodded. "Yeah, Koneko's right about that."
Rias smiled as the silver-haired Valkyrie took the rook piece from her hand. "A power like yours would be best utilized in long-range attacks," she said. "I think artillery support in case we have to fight any more of the beetle drones."
Looking over the chess piece for a brief moment, Rossweisse smiled. "Perhaps the Norns themselves spun the thread of fate that led me to your house. Since our first meeting in the Underworld, things just seemed right," she said, placing the Evil Piece on her chest. In a bright flash of red light, the piece sank into the woman's ample breasts.
FLAP!
As the transition came to an end, Rossweisse was now standing behind her new master and her fellow Devils, as a pair of devil wings sprang from her back. "Due to the Gremory family's regard for financial solvency and the top-tier health insurance and pension plans. I feel like I finally have a secure future now that I'm a devil in your service. Everyone, I look forward to our joyous days of working together." Rossweisse said, bowing before her new family.
"And so Rossweisse is a part of our crew," Rias declared, smiling and spreading out her arms in a welcoming manner. "She's officially our second rook and newest memory of team Gremory."
"I don't know, the whole thing seemed more casual than I expected," Irina said, a little disappointed. Her mind thought that the ritual of becoming a Devil would be more grandiose and more…demonic, just like how her reincarnation involved a big ceremony.
"I prefer them to be short and sweet," Xenovia commented. "It was the same for me as well."
"At least you and Asia had it nice and simple," Kenny said, crossing his arms. "I had a spear jammed in my chest!"
"Still not letting that go, how?"
"As a matter of fact, no!" Turning to the voice, Kenny saw no other than Azazel sitting at Rias's desk.
"You're sitting in my chair without permission again," Rias said, looking annoyed at the Fallen Angel.
"Now all your pieces are in place, Gremory. You got a full squad, which means from here on out, you face any challenges head-on," Azazel said with a lazy smile on his face.
Nodding, Rias smiled. "We will, I swear."
But what's the point of being a team if their most valuable member falls behind in his grades? Shaking my head, Kenny turned back to his test and continued his work. Determined not to fall behind. However, when he moved his hand, the samurai accidentally knocked his eraser off the table. Making it fall to the ground next to Rossweisse's foot.
"Crap," he said, reaching down to grab the eraser.
However, when the silver-haired teacher saw this, she gasped in horror.
"No, I'll get it!" Rossweisse yelled, moving to stop him.
However, she tripped over her feet and fell on top of Kenny, her breasts smashing into his face and pressing his head against the table.
"Rossweisse… Not that I don't find this to be amazing, which it is…. But…" Kenny said with a blush on his face. "Could you get off?"
"Wh-what's the b-big idea?" Rossweisse stammered, blushing brightly.
Looking up at her, Kenny said. "You're the one coming on to me!"
After getting off her student, Rossweisse smoothed out her suit with a blush on her face. Kenny sighed and went back to work. As the young warrior worked on the last bit of the test, he felt as though the room was a little stuffy. Standing to his feet, he looked at Rossweisse.
"It's kind of warm; I'm opening a window," he said.
"All right," she said with a nod, still blushing.
Getting to the window, Kenny opened it and stood there for a moment, breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the cool freeze that came through. "Ah… Much better."
"Wait, no! Opening the window is not allowed!"
"What?" Frowning, Kenny turned around. "But I already opened it and—holy crap!" He quickly dodged out of the way of the charging Valkyrie.
"No, close it!" She shouted with both arms extended.
However, in slow motion, Kenny watched as Rossweisse tripped and fell toward tumbling out the window.
"Rossweisse!"
Reacting quickly, Kenny reached out and grabbed both of her legs with my hands.
"Hang on! I got you," Kenny said with a blush when he looked down.
"Pull me up, pull me up!" Rossweisse begged. However, she then realized that her skirt was lifted up while she was hanging down. Exposing her white panties and pantyhose. "Wait, never mind! Don't help me!" She started to squirm within Kenny's grasp.
"Hold still, damn it!" Kenny yelled, still blushing.
Despite the young woman struggling in his arms, he was able to pull her back into the classroom with little effort. He gently set her back down on the ground, and the woman sat on her knees, panting a bit.
"Thank you." She said in between breaths.
"No problem," Kenny muttered, waving her off. "Now come on, Rossweisse, what's up with you?"
"I'm sorry, Kenny. It's just… I want to do well as a teacher, and I was afraid that if you did something that could um… "The silver-haired devil blushed brightly and coughed into her fist. "Distracted you."
Kenny raised an eyebrow. "Distract me?"
"Yes."
"How?"
Rossweisse blushed in embarrassment. "W-Well, if you weren't focused on your test…it could mean failing it, which meant you would be held back a year."
"Like how I was distracted by you crushing me with your chest and nearly falling out the window?"
"Y-Yeah…You're my first student," Rossweisse said, looking away from the handsome young man. His presence made her feel so strange. "I didn't want you to fail…"
Shaking his head, Kenny sat on the ground with the cute teacher and smiled at her. "Rossweisse, you're fine, alright? You're a good teacher, so relax and be yourself, okay? And you don't have to worry about me. I have good grades. One failed test isn't enough to hold me back a year."
Chuckling, Kenny stood to his feet and walked over to the test he was taking. Smiling at the last question he had and already knowing the answer, Kenny quickly marked down the final answer. With the test finished, he walked back to the new teacher. The samurai knelt down on the ground and handed the paper over.
"Care to take a look at my test?" He asked with a charming smile.
Nodding, Rossweisse took the test and then looked over his answers. Impressed with the results, the Valkyrie sighed in relief with a smile. "It's A work," she replied. "I was worried for nothing."
"It was just that one test, so relax. But, if it makes you happy, I'll make sure to keep up my grades," Kenny declared, offering his hand to her.
With wide eyes, Rossweisse found herself taken aback by the samurai's personality. Finding herself to be charmed by her student, Rossweisse smiled happily and took his hand.
"Thank you, Kenny. I really appreciate it," she said, placing a hand on her well-endowed breast.
Smiling, Kenny was about to turn to leave the room. However, he noticed something on Rossweisse's right side.
"Oh, hey, there's a loose thread on your coat."
"Really? I just bought this," the silver-haired woman said, lifting her arm and twisting her hip to get a better look.
"Hear, I got it." Reaching out, Kenny grabbed it and pulled it free. "There you—"
RIP!
Kenny's eyes widened and turned white as his jaw dropped and his cheek turned red. Somehow, that little string he pulled was not only super long but caused Rossweisse's entire suit, skirt, and all to fall to pieces. Leaving the beautiful woman in nothing but her bra, panties, and pantyhose.
"...go."
"WAAAAAH!" Blushing brightly, the newly turned devil covered herself and began to cry out loud as she sank to the floor on her knees. "Why?!" She sobbed, hunching over to conceal herself more.
"I-I-I so sorry!" Kenny said nervously, frantically waving his hands and blushing at the sight of the nearly naked woman. "I didn't mean to!"
"Back off, you!" Rossweisse pointed at Kenny, glaring at him with comically angry white eyes and shark-shaped teeth. But then she returned to sobbing. "Now that you've seen me like this, I'll never be married!"
"Please don't say that. Of course, you can be married," Kenny said, trying to get the teacher to stop crying and calm down. The last thing he wanted was for someone outside of the classroom to hear and walk in on the embarrassing situation he was in.
"No, I wouldn't! This is the first time I've exposed myself to a man. I can never get that back!" Rossweisse sobbed, shaking her head.
"You will find a husband."
"Oh, yeah! Who would want to marry an old woman like me? You?!"
"Yes!" Kenny said with a slight blush.
Rossweisse stopped sobbing for a moment and looked at Kenny in surprise. "You…You would?"
"I mean, I…I am the one you exposed yourself to, so I would need to take responsibility…" Kenny looked away in embarrassment. "Look, will you please stop crying? You don't want to draw unwanted attention to us."
"Too late," said a familiar and seductive voice from the other side of the room. Kenny and Rossweisse gasped, turned to the door, and saw Yubelluna wearing her school nurse outfit. The purple-haired woman was leaning against the doorway, arms crossed with a finger on the corner of her sultry smile.
"Uh…hey…"
"Even your own teacher, Master," she said, referring to the samurai's uncanny ability to win the hearts of the women in his life—her's included. "And I have to say, you're a bold one, Rossweisse."
"Wait! It's not what it looks like!" Rossweisse cried.
"So I'm not seeing a teacher naked in front of her student?" The question made Rossweisse look stunned at the Bomb Queen. The head maid sighed exasperatedly and said to the other woman with a disappointed expression. "This is why you shouldn't have bought from that 100 yen shop."
"But they had a sale," Rossweisse whimpered with closed eyes and anime tears.
"I could've bought you a better suit!"
Kenny sighed at the two women. Yubelluna, being the oldest of the women living in his house, was the first person Rossweisse befriended when she was left behind by her boss, Odin. With their shared experience of being thrown away by their former bosses, they became friends instantly, with one major exception.
Yubelluna, having been accustomed to high living, tended to buy more expensive clothes and name-brand items. Rossweisse, on the other hand, was more of a money saver and would buy the cheapest things, even if they would not have lasted long—as evidenced by her suit.
As the women talked, Kenny removed his jacket and white button-up shirt. He slipped the white shirt on her, even though her chest made buttoning it difficult, while Rossweisse wrapped the jacket around her waist.
"So, what's going on, Yubelluna? Is the day going well," Kenny asked his headmaid.
Yubelluna giggled and said, "It's going quite well, Master. I appreciate you asking." However, her smile turned into a frown as she looked at her master. "However, there's someone who wants to talk to you and Rias."
Kenny, curious about who it could've been, was about to ask when the person in question stepped out from behind the doorway. Surprising the young samurai was the appearance of a pretty and familiar girl with drill-like roll hair on both sides of her head. Someone that Kenny did not think would show up to his school.
Of course, the last time they met was at a party, the one Loki had shown up at.
"Ravel?" Kenny said, the young girl blushing for the circumstances she'd walked in on.
The sudden arrival of Ravel Phenex was an unexpected surprise for the samurai, but it wasn't unwelcome. Kenny will admit that he liked Ravel. She was a beautiful yet sweet girl, and while she was a brat the first time they met, the young girl had made a big turnaround. She was friendly and acted very cutely around the warrior. Kenny was no fool and knew about her crush on him. He, too, felt attracted to her.
Plus, she made very delicious cakes. Cakes that she would have delivered to him by a phoenix.
"So, it's been a while since we last saw each other," Kenny said with a smile as Rias sat beside her boyfriend, surprised by the visit as well.
When Rias heard about the visit, she gathered the others and assembled them in the rebuilt clubhouse. Yubelluna explained that she was working at the nurse's office when Ravel appeared, asking to speak with Rias and Kenny. The Bomb Queen, whom she was close to, brought over the other maids, who were all happy to see the Phenex daughter. In spite of how their previous master, Ravel's brother, traded them, they bore no ill will to Riser's sister. His trading them to Kenny was perhaps the greatest thing he'd done for them.
The King and Pawn couple sat alone together on the couch in the dark room, sitting directly across from Ravel, who was on the other couch. Everyone else stood off to the side, with the four maids on one side and the Gremory servants on the other.
Nodding, Rias smiled at Kenny briefly. "Indeed. How do you do, Ravel? I am curious about this unofficial visit," she said, hands on her lap. "Why don't you have your escort?"
Wearing the same cute-looking one-piece dress she had on at the party, Ravel wiggled her body shyly. It was so embarrassing for her to ask for help, but what choice did she have?
Working up the courage to speak, she spoke shyly. "I apologize for dropping by unannounced…" Ravel said, looking down at the cup of tea that Akeno had given her earlier. Stealing her resolve, Ravel looked up at the princess and her samurai. "I…I wanted to ask for your help with my brother."
Both Rias and Kenny were a little shocked by the request. Help with Riser? Kenny, who viewed the pompous asshole with great resentment. Especially when he tried to force Rias to marry him, yet his sister, who he really liked, was coming to him for help with her brother. He looked at Rias, hoping she knew what to say because the samurai had no idea what to do.
"You wanted to speak to us about Riser?" Rias asked with a raised eyebrow, being in the same boat as her boyfriend.
"Yes, I'm sure you have heard what is going on with my brother by now. Like how he does nothing except hide away in his room and mope about," Ravel said disapprovingly. Acting like the tsundere she was.
"Riser?" Xenovia asked. "I've heard the rumors too..."
"Who is he?" Irina whispered, being the first time she'd heard of the heir of the Phenex House.
"He's a high-ranking devil of the Phenex family and Rias's ex-fiancé," Asia explained to the angel.
Gasping, Irina clasped her hands together. "Fiancé? How romantic!" The angel exclaimed with a sweet smile, much to the chagrin of her childhood friend. "Wait, you said ex-fiancé then… What happened?"
"You see, Kenny crashed their engagement party, challenged Riser to a duel for Rias, and won her back," Asia explained to those who weren't there for that situation. "However, Riser never lost a duel before, and so…"
"He's been crying like a bitch." Xuelan smirked, taking delight in the fact that her old master was still miserable after losing to her master/boyfriend. Though she was the more outspoken of the four, the other maids shared the same sentiments.
Frowning, Rias looked up. "Riser still hasn't recovered," she asked.
Gripping the hem of her dress, Ravel shook her head. "No, he hasn't. It's gotten terrible. I know that this is the last place I should have come to…"
"Last place? What are you talking about?" Rias asked, tilting her head.
"Ravel, relax," Kenny said, smiling at the young girl. "Go ahead and ask."
Smiling slightly, the blonde girl nodded. "Thanks, Kenny," she said. Taking a deep breath, she began to explain. "Well, when I was asking around for advice on how to help my brother, I was told that he should learn the fortitude that Rias Gremory and her peerage possess."
"Fortitude?" Rias and Kenny both said, staring at one another.
"Fortitude, huh?" Xenovia smirked.
"I think we all know a certain someone knows all about that," Irina said with a smile, which caused everyone in the room to chuckle.
Shaking her head, Ravel looked frustrated. "I can't believe he has been sulking for almost half a year, and to make it worse, he says he's afraid of dragons. He's so scared that he hasn't participated in a single Rating Game after the last one. Now the gossip magazines are writing about him. It's so embarrassing. He's traumatized from his one battle with Kurosawa. I could understand if he held a grudge against Kenny, but he's not. I wish he would just man up already and learn from his defeat. As a noble from the Phenex family, it's shameful." Ravel gritted her teeth in frustration before sighing. "But… he's still my brother…and I don't know what to do…"
"My lady, could I suggest that you…maybe not care?" Karlamine said.
"Really?" Isabela looked at her exasperatedly, holding her master's sword.
"Oh, come!" Xuelan said. "You know that he deserves it after what he did to us and Master!"
"I don't disagree, but there are other ways to handle these matters," Isabela told them.
"Girls, silence!" Yubelluna remained professional as she sighed and said, "While I do despise Riser for his actions, it's ultimately our master's responsibility to make a choice."
Frowning, Kenny looked at his sword in Isabela's hands. The same blade that put Riser in the depression he was in. A part of him was willing to let the Phenex sulk in misery.
However, it wouldn't bring him peace. A true samurai ends their enemy's suffering, not letting them writhe in it. Kenny knew what he had to do, even if it disgusted him to his core to do it.
"I'll do it," he said, standing on his feet. "I'll help Riser."
"Huh?" Ravel and Rias both looked at me in shock.
Rubbing the back of his head, Kenny sighed. "I may not like your brother, Ravel, but if it's you asking, I'm willing to help," he said with a smile, causing the petite girl to blush.
"Well… If you absolutely insist… I will accept your help, Kenny." Ravel said, still blushing while looking away from the young warrior. "Please work hard for a high-ranking devil like me… I would appreciate it."
Smiling, Rias stood to her feet and kissed her boyfriend's cheek affectionately. "It's official then: Kenny will be in charge of getting Riser out of his funk."
"I lost again!" Rossweisse cried. "How do I keep losing?"
Everyone was on board the Gremory Train leading them to the Underworld, towards the Phenex Territory. Rossweisse was playing cards with Xenovia, Asia, and Koneko while Kiba and Gasper watched from the sidelines. Rias, Akeno, and Kenny talked amongst themselves while hanging out with Ravel. Even the Phenex Maids were present, coming along out of a sense of duty to their master and wanting to see their old friends. On the train ride, they had time to catch up with Ravel and speak to her about their current lifestyle as maids to the samurai.
As for why Rossweisse was crying, well, the Valkyrie could only whine and moan about her bad luck.
"Rossweisse, I could see your expressions every time you got a good card." Asia smiled as she explained.
"It's true. Your looks are so obvious." Irina giggled.
"Even though it's your first time playing, you have a terrible poker face." Xenovia shook her head.
Meanwhile, off to the side, Kenny and Rias sat together like they were already a married couple, with the princess cuddling up against her boyfriend. Of course, while she was still very much being lovey-dovey with her boyfriend, Rias was deep in her own personal world.
"Is everything okay, Rias?" The princess looked at her beloved, who looked at her with a deeply concerned expression.
"I'm sorry. I was just thinking," Rias said, resting her head on his shoulder and closing her eyes.
Kenny stared at her for a second before smiling and kissing her lips. "I hope it's about me, my princess," he said, holding her closer. Kenny then noticed Ravel looking at him and Rias as if she were observing them. "What's wrong, Ravel?"
"It's just… You two look like a married couple," she said.
Rias chuckled. "Well, that might be true if Kenny plays his cards right; you might be looking at Mrs. Kurosawa soon," said the gorgeous woman as she stroked her future fiancé's cheek. The samurai blushed and smiled at his girlfriend, who looked at him with a seductive gaze.
"Ara ara, Rias. If Kenny is your soon-to-be husband, does that mean I get to keep being his exclusive mistress?" asked Akeno as she leaned in on Kenny's side and pressed her breasts between his right arm. Smiling her sweet yet seductive smile. "The woman he wants to sleep with when you're not around?"
"A-Akeno!" Rias pouted. "He might be your boyfriend too, but we were having a moment!"
"Hmm? And let you have all the spoils for yourself? I don't think so," Akeno said, a challenging smirk. "I think somebody needs a break from all the cuddling."
"I will be the judge of that, Akeno! Not you!"
Kenny's other girlfriends would have jumped in, but…..Yeah, they weren't going up against the two powerful women. Ravel could only watch as the two busty women went at it, with Kenny caught in the middle. Witnessing what the life of the Red Dragon Samurai was like.
Kenny could only whistle when he looked upon the ancient home of the Phenex family.
Home to the members of the Phenex family and serving as the place of ruling, Phenex Castle was larger than the Gremory mansion. The castle's outside layout was comprised of the main building, with a tall building in the background, surrounded by multiple towers with flames protruding around and at the top. The front tower had the phoenix emblem embedded. There were also leafless trees that had tiny flames protruding from the tips. At the entrance was a huge golden statue of a phoenix in the middle of a fountain of fire, and at the sides, there were poles with small flames coming out on top and archway structures similar to an aqueduct that also had flames sprouting at the top.
"Hot crib," the young man jested.
"I still remember when I first came here," Karlamine said. "I thought I was in the heart of Hell itself. Technically, I wasn't wrong."
"Hey, Isabela, remember when we used to spar in the lakes of fire?" Xuelan grinned at her fellow Rook.
Isabela giggled a bit. "I remember winning most of those fights."
"Sitting here by the flames could easily result in a nice tan," Yubelluna said. "As a child, Lady Ravel and I would make s'mores using those same fires."
"Sounds like you're happy to be back," Kenny said, smiling at the beautiful older woman.
The Bomb Queen chuckled and closed her eyes. "We may not be loyal to Riser, but that doesn't mean we still didn't have good memories," she said.
Entering the halls of the Phenex castle, Rias, Kenny, and the Phenex Maids were being led by Ravel toward Riser's room. The interior of the castle had a red color theme blended with matching colors. The entryway had a white, square tile floor with large red tiles to the sides and the phoenix emblem embedded. To the sides of the entryway floor were large gaps with huge flames sprouting out, more poles of fire, and elevated platforms with grass and goblets of fire. Everywhere inside had the clan's signature emblem.
As they followed behind their master, the latter group stopped when they heard a familiar voice.
"If this isn't Lady Rias. It has been a very long time. And it's been a while since we last met, samurai."
When Keny looked, he saw an unfamiliar girl in a maid's outfit in front of some stairs. She was a beautiful young girl with shoulder-length brown hair and blue eyes. She was dressed in a sleeveless French maid uniform that exposed her cleavage, with a white laced design on the edges. She also wore a maid headpiece, half-apron, and forearm-length fingerless gloves.
"It's been a while, Bülent," Karlamine said, smiling at the Pawn as she approached them.
"I have heard many rumors. I must admit I didn't expect to see you four," the young woman said to her friends as they approached her. "Things haven't been the same without you."
"That bad, huh?" Xuelan asked.
"You have no idea," she responded. "It's been…hard on all of us when the four of you were given to the samurai, especially for some of the Pawns."
The four former Phenex servants all looked concerned upon hearing this news. They knew that their absence greatly affected the lives of their friends. Ravel had been doing all she could to keep them happy, but Yubelluna was like a mother figure to these girls, while Karlamine, Isabela, and Xuelan were the older sisters.
Then, speaking for them, Yubelluna turned to her current master. "Kenny, if you and Lady Rias can go on ahead, the girls and I want to catch up with the rest of our former compatriots," she said with a bow.
Kenny smiled at the Bomb Queen. "Of course," said the samurai, granting the maids his permission. Leaving the Phenex servants behind, Kenny and Rias continue following Ravel over to Riser's room.
Bülent then asked the question that's been on her mind for a while.

Yubelluna giggled and said, "I can't really tell, as I've yet to sleep with our master."
"We might have to fix that," Isabela said. "As for your question, Bülent. Girl, do we have stories to tell you…"
Shaking her head with a smile, Rias turned back to Ravel, who was leading her and her boyfriend to a pair of giant doors. "So, what does Riser do all day?"
"He usually stays in his room running rating game simulations." The blonde devil explained. "Occasionally, he will summon people that are good at playing chess and play with them, but otherwise, he never leaves."
"At least he's having some kind of human interaction," Kenny commented.
Walking up to a large pair of double doors, Ravel knocked on it a few times.

"Big Brother!" Ravel called out after giving a couple of knocks. "You have guests."
Riser's voice, sounding very depressed and shaken, was soon heard from the other side of the doors. "Ravel? Is that you? I don't want to see anyone today. I had the dream again, the one about that dragon with that golden light burning me again… No visitors."
Hearing this and expecting that response, Ravel sighed and shook her head. "Your guest is Lady Rias."
CRASH
"R-Rias, you say!?" Riser called out in surprise after a very loud crash came from the room. With him in this panicked state, it must have been such a shock that his former fiancé was here right outside his door.
"Riser, it's me," Rias said, walking up to the door.
"Why have you come here, Rias!? Are you here to laugh at me!?" Riser demanded, his tone low and sounding like it was mixed with fear and hate. Kenny noted how the once arrogant man had dropped the whole thing of speaking in the third person. "Or maybe you're here to brag about how fulfilling your life with the Red Dragon Samurai is."
Raising an eyebrow, Kenny shook his head. Disliking how the guy really thought that little of Rias. Needless to say, Riser was still the dick he knew him as.
However, Rias took it all in stride. "I just wish to talk for a bit. Will you please open the door and let me see your face? It is rather hard to talk through the door."
The following footsteps were very loud, as if he were stomping, and each one was filled with rage. Riser soon opened his doors for the first time in a long time, wearing pink pajamas. His hair was a mess, and he grew a lot of facial hair. His eyes were bloodshot, showing he hadn't gotten any proper sleep. It could just be anyone's eye, but there was a white streak of hair flowing down the right side of his face.
"What could you possibly wish to speak about to the man you rejected!?" Riser demanded. But that is when he saw Kenny, and he froze in recognition. "Re-re-re-re-re-Red Dragon Samurai!?"
Kenny said, "What's up, Kentucky Fried Regret?"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Riser let out a sound that could only be described as being a cartoonishly girly squeal of terror as he backpeddled and hid under the covers of his bed. "No! Go away! Leave me alone!"
Rias looked at her boyfriend with a deadpan look. "Was it something I said?" Kenny asked.
"You broke him, you fixed," Rias ordered, pointing to the door.
Kenny sighed and walked into the room with Ravel and Rias. He looked around and sighed at the mess Riser had left the room in. Medical supplies were everywhere, most likely for the hole Kenny had put in his stomach, and food entrees were just left on the floor. Despite the maids cleaning them up so as not to let them spoil, Riser clearly had been sticking to IV bags.
"Dude, your room is a mess. I mean, seriously, have some self-respect."
Kenny's words fell upon deaf ears as all Riser was whining. "GO HOME! I don't want to be reminded of that day! Such a miserable feeling… I don't want to experience something like that ever again!"
It was just so pathetic to see Kenny, and he stared at the Devil he disliked so much in disappointment. To see Riser, who caused so much heartache for Kenny and his girlfriend, be reduced to this almost made the samurai feel sorry for him.
"This is the attitude of someone who has never lost before, huh?" Rias said, sounding a little disappointed and with just a hint of pity.
At first, Ravel looked at her brother in worry, thinking it might have been a mistake to bring the samurai. However, knowing that her brother wasn't going to get any better by being a coward, the young girl steeled her resolve.
"For crying out loud." Ravel sighed as she walked toward the bed and pulled back the covers. "Rias took time out of her busy schedule to see you. So, stop hiding under the covers."
"Leave me alone! Go away!" Begged the man.
"Now, this is just sad," Kenny said. He then pulled out his phone and dialed the number for Yubelluna. "Hey, Yubelluna. It's me, Kenny. Are you with the other servants?… Good. Tell them to pack a bag for Riser, please? No fancy clothing. He will need workout clothes and something warm. And then, can you and the girls pack the same stuff for me? Great, thanks."
Rias looked at her boyfriend with a very confused expression. "Kenny, what do you have planned?"
Kenny smirked. "Oh, let's just say I'm going to be calling in the big guns. But first, let's get him out of here…. "
The samurai walked up to Riser's bed. Sniffing the air, Kenny raised an eyebrow and covered his nose.
"Oh, second thought, let's get this man a bath…"
That bath took about an hour just to get him to smell descent. But once he was cleaned up, he was brought outside and stood near one of the fire fountains. Despite Kenny's orders to wear something to sweat in, he was dressed in his usual suit and shaved. For a man who hadn't eaten well, he was still fit like a man model and fit into his suit nicely. But he'll regret wearing it. But at least the Phenex maids made sure Riser's servants packed him a proper bag.
Kenny was only wearing his backpack and was dressed in winter wear. "Alright, Rias, we're ready," he said to his girlfriend.
"So, Kenny, you never did tell me everything about your plan," Rias said, arms crossed. "Like, for example, where are you going, and what you're going to do."
"Well, if one is to conquer their fears, one must face them," Kenny said, smirking at the love of his life. Amused to see her eyes widen.
"Oh, brother, you're not gonna…"
"If I said yes, would you stop me?"
Rias put a finger on her lips and thought for a moment. "Nah," she said. "When will he get here?"
"He should be any minute. In fact, he should be here right about… now," he said, feeling the familiar approach of an old friend before a very loud and familiar voice boomed from overhead.
"It's been a while since I've last seen you all."
Smiling, Kenny waved. "Tannin, old friend! It's great to see you!"
Riser, however, froze up, recognizing who it was. "Ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-Tannin! The Ultimate class devil and the legendary dragon!"
Landing on the ground, Tannin crossed his arms and stared down at the high-class devil. Clearly disappointed by the fallen Phenex. "Riser Phenex, I used to watch you with great interest because I thought you were a promising king," Tannin said, shaking his head and growling. "However, just looking at you now. You are a disappointment to yourself and your family. You have a serious problem."
"And that's why you came in," Kenny said, sliding his backpack on and carrying Riser's. "The plan is to fly up to the mountains like you did with me. His family wants him to gain 'fortitude', and I'm going to make sure he gets it."
"Fortitude, huh? That I can work with," Tannin said as he turned to look down at Kenny. "Are you coming to the mountains, too?"
"N-No!" Riser shouted as he jumped up and took off into the air. His fiery wings sprouted from his back, and his little escape attempt was cut off when Tannin caught him.
"No running away." He glared at Riser. "If you're a man, then prepare yourself."
Chuckling, Kenny turned to Rias and pulled her into a passionate kiss. "I'll see you later," he said after pulling away from her soft lips.
"If you need help, be sure to contact me. All right?" Rias said, hesitant to let him go.
"Always," he said, pulling away from her. Turning to the dragon, Kenny jumped good and landed on Tannin's shoulder.
"Wait! Take me with you!" Ravel called up to Kenny, running forward. "I want to help with my brother's recovery!"
Staring at her, Kenny glanced at Tannin, who nodded. "That girl has good eyes, Kenny. Why don't you take the girl up into the mountains with us? You could take care of her," he said.
Walking forward, Rias nodded. "I am okay with it, my love," she said, much to Ravel's surprise. "I will talk with Lord and Lady Phenex. Please take Ravel with you."
"Rias…" Ravel said.
Smiling, Kenny held out his hand to the blonde. "Alright, then. Come on, Ravel. Let's get to it!"
Ravel smiled and ran toward Kenny. Being next to her crush, who came to help her brother, was really exciting for her. Her fire wings spread from her back as she jumped into the air. In the air, Ravel transformed into a Sailor Moon. Her normal outfit vanished, and in its place was a tan and brown explorer's outfit with a hat and all. The only difference was that she had on a skirt.
Landing right next to Kenny on Tannin's shoulder, Ravel blushed as Kenny smiled at the blonde.
The samurai then looked at their other passenger, who was still not having it, though, flailing fruitlessly in Tannin's hand.
"Okay, Tannin, to Dragon Mountain!" Kenny said.
"N-no! I don't want to go to Dragon Mountain!" Riser cried in fear as he tried to pry open Tannin's clawed hand, and the massive dragon took off into the air.
"This is for your own good, big brother." Ravel chastised as Tannin took the group to the home of the dragons.
The Dragon Mountain lived up to its name. As their home, there were dragons everywhere. There were big holes on various parts of the cliffs of a canyon, and dragons larger than humpback whales were popping their heads out of them. Many dragons were spreading their wings and flying within the valley. It appears many of them are living within this valley.
"Amazing," Kenny gasped with a grin. It was one of the best experiences of Kenny's life. "So many dragons…"
"D-dragons!" Sadly, Riser didn't share his enthusiasm for the scaly flying beasts.
"This is the dragon nest where my brethren live," Tannin explained to him. The great dragon let out a massive roar that echoed throughout the mountains. To Kenny's dragon half, it sounded more like a call for someone to assemble with them.
A lone blue dragon took to the air and soon flew next to the group. Looking at it, Kenny saw it was a Western one with blue ice-like crystals on its body and some green and orange marks as well.
"You called for me, Lord Tannin?" the dragon asked, and from the tone of its voice, Kenny knew the dragon was male.
"Who is that," asked Kenny.
"This is a high-ranking dragon who serves under me. I've asked him to help in training Riser Phenex." Tannin explained.
Turning to him, Kenny raised an eyebrow. "I thought I was in charge of his training," he asked, confused.
"You are in a manner, samurai," Tannin said, "but we will be training him similarly to how I trained you. Your job is to provide him with a rival in training. Someone that he can try to match."
Tannin chuckled to himself. Kenny thought it over and nodded. It was a good idea, to be honest.
"Riser Phenex, here in the mountains, we will rebuild you. Your mind, body, and soul will be broken and re-made until you can face a dragon!"
"Why is this happening?" Riser whined as he refused to look anywhere but the ground.
The moment the two trainees stepped on the snow-covered slopes of the mountain, they started their work out in the freezing weather. For one, it was a great workout, while for the other, it was hell on ice. In the case of Riser, it was the latter.
Instead of his normal clothing, Kenny was wearing snow-protective gear consisting of heavy jackets, pants, and snow boots. This gear allowed him to easily traverse the fresh powdered snow created by the gusting winds of the oncoming storm. The goggles he wore kept his eyes safe from the blizzard.
"Good thing I was prepared for cold weather," he said, his left hand securing the strap of his sword bag.
Turning around to look behind, Kenny shook his head as Riser was running behind him, his fire wings out in an attempt to keep himself warm.
"Come on, Riser!" Kenny called out to him. "We don't have all day for your fried ass to catch up!"
"Hey, hey, you're too slow!" The Blizzard Dragon called out and blasted Riser, freezing his wings completely and knocking him onto the snow.
"You froze my fire!" Riser shouted, but he began to pick up the pace.
"Riser, when you're running, you need to call out 'dragon'," The blue dragon called out. "Now say it, say it!"
Ravel, who was hitching a ride on the Blizzard Dragon's back, called out to her brother, "Big brother, you can't give up now. Dragon, dragon, dragon." She started to chant alongside the Blizzard Dragon.
"Why is this happening!?" Riser cried out, with Kenny unable to resist pitying the fool. He shook his head at the miserable sight before deciding to continue along the snow path.
The next part of Riser's training involved the dup getting to the spot where they would be camping out—up a fifty-foot mountain.
And with the blizzard wind blowing down on them, flying was not an option. This wasn't a problem for the battle-hardened warrior. After all of the training he'd gone through, Kenny could climb the mountain without the need for a safety rope. The same could not be said for Riser. And so, with a rope and some ice axes, the two were tied up and started climbing, beginning first with Kenny and Riser behind him.

"Riser, we have only just begun training, and it hasn't even been a full day yet," Kenny called out to him.
Frustrated at his dilemma, the blonde glared up at the samurai. "I am a high-ranking devil, a noble! It is my duty to put value on my blood and shrewdness. Not in my ability to run through a blizzard or climb a mountain!"
Spreading his fire wings, Riser jumped off the mountain and tried to take off into the air.

Scowling, Kenny shook his head. Riser was always going to be a tough nut to crack. The samurai just couldn't help but wonder how long of a way Riser had to go before he made any progress. And if he ever gained his pride again and became arrogant, there would be a whole lot of hell to follow afterward.
Three days would go by in a flash. Every day would be a new challenge—a new obstacle that Kenny would overcome. Sadly, Riser was no closer to gaining the fortitude he needed to overcome his fears. His training with Tannin and the dragons was quite severe and hardworking, pushing him in ways he never imagined. But at least he wasn't alone in it, thanks to Kenny training alongside him. Whenever training ended, the two would turn in for the night inside a cave. It was their only form of shelter in the mountains. Riser sulked in some corner of it while Kenny prepared the fire for warmth and food for cooking.
It sucked for the young samurai, but it wasn't all bad. This was made bearable by Ravel coming by every day to check on the progress of her brother during the training sessions. Kenny, it was because she wanted to see him and get close to him, something that he appreciated.
Today, she even made breakfast for the two. In the roaring winds, Ravel set up a table for herself and Kenny and presented him with some amazing-looking pancakes and tea.
"It's been three days since the training started. How would you rate my brother's progress?" Ravel asked, concerned. She was in a fancy-looking red dress with black stockings.

A dangerous combination. Right now, he's a sailboat, and he needs the right winds to push her in the right direction. Too much, and he'll slam into the coast. Give too little, and he will make no progress."
"You think so? I'm relieved to hear that." Ravel said before cutely sneezing slightly and covering herself. Despite a magic barrier protecting her back from the wind, the area was still cold.
Turning his head, Kenny looked at her with concern. "Ravel, if you're cold, why didn't you wear something warmer?"
Ravel, typical of her nobility statues, exclaimed, "I'm not c-cold at all! It's only proper for a lady from a noble family to wear a dress to morning tea."
Despite her words, Kenny knew she was shaking. Sighing slightly, he said, "Ravel, don't lie to me, okay? It's fine to be cold."

I smiled at the blonde as I continued to eat. "By the way, these pancakes are delicious. I thank you, Ravel."
The Phenex girl became bashful with a smile as she looked away. "You really think so?" She asked the Red Dragon Samurai. "Most of the ingredients I gathered from the dragons, but I couldn't find certain things… So, I wasn't satisfied with how they turned out."
Chuckling, I grabbed a cup of tea and used the warm liquid to wash down the food. Thanks to learning etiquette, he drinks it like a gentleman. "I can honestly say that they're better than any I've had."
"O-O-Oh! Thank you," Ravel said before she got back on her high horse again and took on that 'noble' attitude of hers. "O-of course it is. You can count yourself lucky to have eaten my homemade pancakes, and you should be thanking me."
"Really?" Kenny smirked and raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, I even woke up early to make them…" Ravel said but then saw Kenny's gaze and quickly retracted herself. "N-no, I mean, I can make dozens of pancakes in a short amount of time. I just happened to be up early this morning."
However, that was when Kenny leaned into her, much to her surprise.

"Then I will visit without reservation. After all, it is a High-Ranking devil's job to learn all about the normal life of humans," Ravel said as her brother came running by them. "By the way, I heard Rias and the others are coming by the mountains tonight."
"Really," Kenny asked in surprise while drinking his tea, not noticing Riser slow down for a brief moment as he listened to our conversation. Were they coming here to check up on progress?
"Yes, apparently, there is a really good hot spring out here in the mountains," Ravel said as the Blizzard Dragon grabbed Riser and took off with him as he screamed.
Snorting, Kenny shook my head. "That guy has a long way to go," he said. "But…I might go down and see Rias."

Kenny dawned on his dragon samurai armor and opened his wings. Flying out of the cave in pursuit of Riser.
"After all that I did for him, this is how he repays me? Peeking on my girlfriends?!" Kenny yelled, flying high up to get a lock on his location.
And luckily for him, Riser was not far.
"Ahh… There you are," Kenny calmly stated. Diving down, Kenny charged down at Riser with righteous fury.
BASH!
"GAH!" Riser yelled the moment Kenny's foot kicked him in the back. Sending him down before he quickly regained his balance.
Flapping his wings, Kenny moved in front of Riser. Sword in his right hand, he glared at Riser. "So, this is your wind," he asked. "Your motivation? You're really gonna risk your life to sneak a peek at my girlfriends and the others?"
"So, what if I am?! It's a gentleman's duty to peek inside a hot spring when a woman is bathing," he argued, floating up to face Kenny.
"That is the exact opposite of what a gentleman would do," Kenny said, aiming a punch for his face, but Riser ducked underneath it and flew out of the way.
"Your attack is sharper than the last time we fought. But do you really think you can beat me in an aerial battle? Stop being a hindrance, Red Dragon Samurai!" Riser shouted as he pointed at me with a glare. "Let me see Rias's tits!"
"Never!" Kenny yelled, posing in his sword stance. "She's my girlfriend and future fiancé!"
"That is why I must see them!" Riser yelled before launching a fiery attack at him. "I cannot stand the fact that only you get to enjoy them!
"Dude!" Kenny yelled, cutting through the fire. He decided this would be a good way to test his strength, and so far, he's doing well despite Kenny's holding back by a lot.
Who knew that being a pervert would give someone strength to fight?
"Alright, you wanna do this? Let's do this!" Kenny yelled, flying at Riser. "As her boyfriend, I will defend my princess' honor!"
Riser dodged the Sword slashing at his head and flew up.
"I am her ex-fiancé!" Riser yelled, trying to kick Kenny's head. But the samurai blocked it with his arm. "Do you think I would give up before I could enjoy those big tits of hers?! Put yourself in my position!"
CUT!
Kenny's sword cut across Riser's suit but drew no blood.
"It's over, Riser! Rias isn't you anymore," Kenny said, moving back a bit before attacking again. With him slashing and hacking at Riser while the fiery man dodged his blade. "And being her ex-fiance is no excuse!"
Riser flew over the Sword before it could cut him in half. "If you wouldn't let me see Rias, her Queen will be more than satisfied," he said with an arrogant smirk. "I want to see the Priestess of Thunder's tits, too. They're huge, aren't they?!"
"Yeah, and they belong to my mistress!" Kenny yelled.
"Are you kidding me!? It's the least you can do after what you did!"
"Me?! What did I do to you?!" Kenny yelled, making Riser grit his teeth further in anger.
"You shut up!" Riser demanded, surprising Kenny a bit to see that the Phenex shifted from being a pervert to focusing all of his anger on the samurai. "It's because of you that I had lost everything! You took Rias away, destroyed my name, and brought ruin to my family! And now you dare ridicule me. Me! Who is already having a difficult time living after all of this?!"
Riser charged forward with his left fist on fire. "That is why I'll never FORGIVE YOU!" Riser screamed at the top of his lungs as he threw his left fist….
Back at the hot springs, all was quiet and peaceful. The girls continued to enjoy the nice warm bath up in the snowy mountains. But their peace and quiet moment was about to end as they saw something in the sky.
"Hey, what's that up there?" Asia asked as she pointed up to the sky. The girls followed her finger to see what looked like some sort of object falling to earth. It was bright white and orange like it was on fire.
And it was getting bigger and bigger as it was getting closer.
"Incoming!" Xenovia shouted. Everyone backed away and ducked for cover, clearing the way of the meteorite.
BOOM
At the point of impact, an explosion of fire and water occurred, as flames erupted from the spring water and were quenched when the water fell on them.
As the chaos died down, everyone looked to see what had landed in the water. There, they saw a battered and defeated Riser with a massive, bloody slash across his chest that slowly started to heal. Over him stood Kenny, looking down at his defeated fool with a frown as Riser's wings were extinguished.
"I have to say, this is worse than you are talking in the third person," Kenny said, making his armor disappear.
"Kenny?" Rias was stunned as she walked up to him, naked. Kenny looked at her, blushing at the sight of his girlfriend. "And… Riser?"
"Ara, Ara, Kenny," Akeno said, walking up to stand next to Rias. Looking at him with closed eyes, a sweet smile, and a hand on her cheek. "What could you be doing here?"
"It's…a long story," Kenny said, sheathing his katana as Asia came out of the fog. As the fog around them cleared up, Kenny saw the others, including Riser's peerage, bathing themselves when he came crashing down with their master.
"Have you come here to peek at us," Xenovia asked, hands on her hips. Behind her, the youngest members of Riser's peerage, along with Irina, Rossweisse, and Koneko, hid behind a rock. All of them are covering themselves. "I'm impressed, Kenny."
"Wow, you weren't kidding," Bülent said, looking at Kenny with bedroom eyes and licking her lips. "He is a bold one."
"And he has a lot of explaining to do!" yelled Siris.
"Hey, hold on! Don't blame me!" Kenny yelled, picking up Riser and shaking him a bit. "The only peeking tom here is your master."
Seeing how badly her brother was beaten, Ravel ran over to him. "Big brother!"
Yubelluna sighed and shook her head. "Why am I not surprised?"
"T-That doesn't matter!" Irina yelled. "Confess your sins!"
That's when Rossweisse started sobbing. "I really can't get married anymore!"
Ravel made it to Riser as the wound healed completely. "He's still alive. Just knocked out," Kenny said, blushing at the sight of the beautiful young girl's body. Noticing how much more mature and fully developed it was for someone her age. "When he wakes up in the morning, let me know."
Kenny dropped Riser in the water in front of his sister. Ravel knelt down to tend to him. Thankful that he was okay. "What happened?"
"I think…I think he found the winds to drive his sails. Even if they were to peek on my girlfriends," Kenny said. "Speaking of which…"
Turning to Akeno, Kenny flashed over to her and mashed his lips against hers. Leaving not only the black-haired beauty but also everyone else watching, shocked and blushing. However, Akeno quickly recovered upon feeling Kenny's tongue pushing into her mouth, deepening the passionate kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling herself in closer and mashing her breasts against his chest. Moaning from the heat of their making out.
It was only when they needed air that Kenny pulled away and grabbed Akeno.
"Whoa!" Akeno was taken by surprise when Kenny picked her up and placed her stomach on his shoulder. With a hand wrapped around her stomach, he held her while her legs and ass dangled in the front, and her head, arms, and breasts dangled on his back. "Ara, ara~ So manly. "Oh, dream," Akeno said, not at all frightful of the sexual punishment coming her way.
The next morning at the hot spring's inn, after tucking Rias and Akeno back into bed, Yubelluna came to their bedroom and informed Kenny that Riser had awakened. He kissed both of them on the lips before walking away from the king-size bed. Stepping over the bondage ropes he and Rias used on Akeno.
The kind of toys she had with her was amazing, all because Kenny wasn't going to be there to satisfy her sexual needs.
Leaving the room, Kenny was led to where Riser was waiting for him. Leaning against the wall with his hands in his pocket, the Heir of the Phenex Clan waited for the samurai. Ravel was with him, looking worriedly at her brother and Kenny.
"You are so lucky I held back," Kenny said, frowning at Riser as his head maid stood with him. "And especially lucky that you're immortal."
Riser scoffed. "Of course, we're made of sterner stuff compared to low-ranking Devils like you," he said, acting all high and mighty again. "Riser is among the highest-ranking Devil—
"Drop the third-person thing, bitch, it's stupid," Kenny said. "So, I'm the guy that ruined your life in your mind."
"Who else would it be," Riser snapped.
"Yours."
Riser gasped a bit as Kenny explained it to him.
"You had one loss. One, out of…I don't know, really," Kenny said, pointing at him with the butt of the Sword. "Everything that was lost was because of your actions. Rias didn't want to be with you because of the kind of person you were. Your name was ruined because of your arrogance, your need to feel superior, and your inability to get back up when you were brought down. None of those things affected your family. I mean, you've got Ravel and your parents, right?"
Riser looked down for a moment before looking at his little sister, who smiled and nodded.
"Even so, what gave you the right to ruin my wedding? Because you loved Rias?"
"Because she would have been miserable," Kenny said, cutting him off. "If…at the time, Rias was marrying something she truly loved, I would have put aside my love for her and let her go freely. But she didn't love you, and the thought of Rias being sad for the rest of her life wasn't something I could live with."
Riser was once again brought to silence.
"Riser, you have a ton of natural talent, but you squandered it by acting high and mighty. Imagine what would happen if you constantly trained. Look at what you did in three days of training; you kept up with my Scale Mail mode."
"But I didn't even—" He started to say, his eyes filling with a mixture of pain and anger as he looked at his chest.
"Yes, but there's a reason for that. I've learned from every defeat, constantly training and honing my skills as a warrior," Kenny said. "I have a rival, Vali, The White Dragon Emperor, who I will one day have to fight to the death. And that's on top of defeating the Army of Darkness, making sure Aku never comes back, and having the fate of all words on my shoulders."
Kenny starred at Riser, who listened to the samurai. "I train so I can protect my home. So I can live with my friends and the people I love. All the women I love…and Rias." The samurai then asked, "Riser… Do you have a dream?"
"A dream," Riser asked. "It was to be Rias's- "
"Stop!" Kenny held up his hand. "That's not a real dream, Riser. As a samurai, it is my duty to protect Rias as her servant. That is the duty that we all share in her peerage. To make sure her dreams are realized. But we all have our dreams. I want to be able to marry Rias. To have a life just for us to live together, not as master and servant or as boyfriend and girlfriend. But as husband and wife. I want to honor my family's legacy and stop Aku from ever coming back.
"Both of these dreams coexist because one cannot live without the other. They are part of a dream that will give not just me peace but also peace for everyone. It is what I dreamt, what I bled for, and what I will spend a lifetime waiting to see."
Kenny walked up to Riser. "Find your dream Riser. Find the wind that your sails will catch. And when you find that wind, stick to it, no matter the course, and it will never lead you astray."
"But…But how do I even find that dream?" He asked, looking a little deflated.
Kenny smiled kindly at the man he once hated. "Hold still," he said, tapping the butt of his sword to where Riser's heart would be. "Kokoro no Kimochi."
Kenny connected his heart to Riser's just like he did with Akeno. Hopefully, it will work like before.
And it did. Just like when he first used the spell on Akeno, Kokoro no Kimochi turned the world around him and Riser black. The Phenex heir disappeared into the blackness as his heart opened and spoke.
"I am a loser. All I wanted was to be respected. Show how great my family really is. I failed my family and my own name. "
Kenny knelt down on the ground, placed the Sword beside him, and closed his eyes. Listening to the voices.
"But…I think losing to the Red Dragon Samurai taught me a lesson I should have learned long ago, but… I was too afraid to accept the truth he taught me that day we fought. I wasn't really afraid of dragons. The trust was that…I felt ashamed. Ashamed that my arrogance brought upon me. Because of it, I lost the respect of my peers, my best servants, and everyone around me… It had gotten so bad that my sister had taken command of my peerage during battle. It kills me to see another command them, but I am so bothered by losing that I won't do anything."
"What is this?" Riser's voice echoed all around Kenny.
"Your heart is speaking to you," he said, smiling slightly. "Listen to it."
"I want to be better. Not only for myself or my peerage but for my family and people. Especially for my little sister. She has so much faith in me. That she even came out here to help me train… I want to do better, and I will do better."
Removing his sword from Riser, Kenny opened his eyes and smiled. The connection was broken, and they were back in the halls. "I…I never knew you would possess such a heart, Riser.
"I…" Touching the spot where his hand was, he looked at the samurai, confused. "I feel… Different… Like- "
"There was once a truth that was forgotten, but now it comes to light?"
Frowning, he nodded. "Yes, but how did you—"
"A little trick I picked up that allows me to connect to people's hearts," Kenny said. "Your heart just gave you the goal that it dreams of having. Be better than you were, Riser. This is a new beginning for you. It's in your name! Be a Phenex, and rise from the ashes of your previous life and begin anew."
Looking down, Riser rubbed his chin in thought before smiling a little. "Thank you…Kenny Kurosawa. I will be better for not only myself but for my servants and… For my sister," he said, looking at Ravel, who smiled at him. "I will give up on Rias, so please… take care of her."
"I will."
Riser then turned to his former Queen. "Yubelluna…" he walked up to her. "I'm sorry…"
"You don't need to, Riser," the purple-haired woman said, much to the shock of the blonde man. "I will admit, I was hurt by what you did, and I…I felt as though I had failed you somehow to make you give up on me and the girls. But, doing so was…perhaps the greatest thing that you've done for us."
"Really?"
"I have never seen Xuelan, Karlamine, and Isabela so happy. They truly do love our new master, and he loves us," Yubelluna said, looking at Kenny. "And that's all we could ask for in a master."
Kenny blushed and smiled.
"Then…I would like to speak with all of you one last time before you leave," Riser said, with Yubelluna bowing to him.
"Of course, Lord Riser," she said, smiling before leading her former down the halls. Kenny and Ravel watched them walk away, smiling at the back of Riser's head. This was a new start for the Heir of the Phenex House. And Riser will burn brighter than ever before.
EPISODE XXXVII
PHENEX RISING
AN: Is it any surprise that Akeno has a kinky side? lol. But, yeah, there you have it. The OVA with Ravel and Riser. I was going to do a lemon in this chapter with Kenny, Rias, and Akeno, but I decided to hold off on that for the next chapter since it's the chapter before Kenny goes off to Kyoto.
Speaking of that arc. Things are going to be playing out a bit differently than they did in the anime, more specifically with Yasaka's character. I want her to spend more time with Kenny and build their love for each other in this arc. So, expect to see more of her.
This is where we enter the strange and unknown. I'll have to read the light novels to find out what really happens in this part of the story since I've heard that the anime deviates from the source material. I'm not sure how much, so if anyone's read the novels, please let me know.
