Hi all, here is another one-shot of Lara & Kurtis.

As she sat at the café near the Eiffel Tower, Lara couldn't help but feel a sense of relaxation wash over her. She had not been in France for two years, trying to escape the memories of the event that had happened. But now, she was finally on holiday. The fresh air and the aroma of coffee calmed her nerves, and for a moment, she felt at peace.

Until she saw those blue eyes again. The ones that had haunted her dreams for the past two years. Leaving the small café, he walked away, and Lara's heart started pounding in her chest. She got up, paid for the coffee, and went after him without a second thought. She followed him into an alley, hoping to finally be reunited with him. But instead, she was met with a stone wall. Confused and disheartened, she was about to turn around when she felt the barrel of a gun touch the back of her head.

She froze, feeling the warm breath of the person behind her. It was Kurtis, the man she had been searching for. "Did you miss me, Lara?" he whispered in her ear. Lara's heart skipped a beat as she turned around to face him. She knew she should be angry, but all she could feel was a sense of longing.

"What are you doing here, Kurtis?" she asked, ignoring his question. Kurtis took the gun off her and leaned in closer, looking deep into her eyes. "I'm here on business. What about you? Getting yourself in trouble again?"

"I'm on holiday," she replied, still trying to process the fact that he was standing before her after all this time. "What business?"

Kurtis sighed and let go of her hand, breaking the intense stare. He leaned onto the wall, looking at her. "I can't tell you," he answered cryptically. "What have you been doing the last couple of years?"

Lara couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness as memories flooded her mind. "Going back to my Tomb Raiding and adventures," she replied with a hint of bitterness. "And you?"

"Busy rebuilding the order," he replied, walking up to her again. This time, he reached out to touch her cheek, and she leaned into his touch, craving his warmth. "There's one more thing," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"What?" she asked, looking up at him with hopeful eyes.

"I've been heartbroken since you left the hospital," he admitted.

Lara's heart swelled with emotion. She had missed him more than words could express, but she had been too afraid to reach out. "I feel the same way," she said softly. Without warning, Kurtis leaned in and kissed her passionately on the lips, and she responded eagerly. Their tongues danced together as they wrapped their arms around each other, lost in the moment.

When they finally broke apart, they were both gasping for air. Kurtis looked at her with intense love in his eyes. "I love you, Croft," he whispered.

Lara's heart skipped a beat as she looked into his eyes. She knew then that she would never be able to let him go again. "I love you too, Trent," she said, placing a gentle kiss on his lips. As they stood there, wrapped up in each other's arms, Lara knew that everything was going to be okay. Finally, after all this time, she had found her way back to him.
