Authors Note: Hello and welcome back, readers. First of all, please accept my apologies. I was taking college courses over the summer and thought I could squeeze in my fanfic writing in the meantime. Unfortunately, I underestimated just how much work I would have to handle and I had to take a break from the story. But now my semester is over so I can get back on track with the free time I have. Read and enjoy.

It was early evening on a Monday at the Vale multiplex. There were fewer movie goers on that particular day than the weekend. Most of Vale's citizens were busy attending the Vytal festival, now that the doubles round was in full swing.

Teams RWBY, JNPR, Neptune, Sun, Coco, and Velvet all assembled in the lobby. They were very excited about Gold-Sith's next viewing.

"I hope he shows us another action flick," Jaune said. "That last one was the best I'd ever seen."

"You're just saying that because you were the star," Nora giggled.

"Even so, it was great," Pyrrha added.

"Speaking of which, I still can't believe you used that 'Yippee-Ki-Ay' line on Team FNKI," Weiss said to Yang disapprovingly.

Yang looked at Weiss with a smirk. "Well, at least I didn't say motherfu-"

"Yang!" Ruby sharply cut off her sisters profanity.

Blake observed her scroll as she received a message. "Everyone else is at the theater. Let's start heading over."

The students walked together down a connecting hallway towards the private theater where Gold-Siths next movie would be shown.

"By the way, tough break with Emerald and Mercury," Neptune said to Coco sympathetically.

"Meh. I guess you can't win them all," Coco said with a shrug, still a bit bummed out over her defeat.

"Silver lining, you get to watch a movie with all your friends," Velvet cheered up her friend.

The students reached and entered Gold-Sith's small theater. Inside, Ozpin, Goodwitch, Port, and Oobleck were chatting, Qrow was helping himself to some free whiskey, and Ironwood, Winter, and Penny were also chatting.

"Hello again, everyone," Pyrrha greeted.

"Salutations!" Penny greeted with a warm smile.

"Welcome back, students. Time for another exciting viewing of the multiverse," Oobleck babbled, with his thermos in hand.

Everyone took their seats with snacks and beverages.

"Gold-Sith. Are you there?" Ozpin called out with a fresh mug of coffee in hand.

On cue, the big screen shined to life and Gold-Sith's shimmering blue figure appeared. A greeting smile was on his face.

"Welcome back, everybody." Gold-Sith said. "I hope you're all excited for the next viewing."

"You bet we are!" Ruby said, bobbing up and down slightly.

"If it means free whiskey for me, then I'm down for it," Qrow said, raising his flask to the screen.

"I'm movie ready!" Penny announced.

"Well then, sit back and enjoy the show."

The overhead lights dimmed and the film began.

The screen showed an aerial shot cruising over Vale at night. A towering, lit skyline was visible in the background.

"It looks like this film takes place in Vale, this time," Ozpin noted, recognizing the architecture.

"A larger version, judging by those building's," Glynda added, referencing the skyscrapers.

The bold, metallic letters 'Robocop' appeared on the screen.

Weiss cocked her brow in puzzlement. "Robocop?"

"Oooooh! That sounds awesome!" Nora, liking the title.

"Me too. It sounds like science-fiction to me," Neptune said, an eager grin on his face.

"Of course you'd be exited for nerdy stuff like that," Sun chuckled.

"Quiet you!" Neptune hissed.

The letters turned to static and zoomed in until it filled the screen. Next, a myriad of news screens showing various crises around Remnant appeared. The screens then turned to closeups of two pairs of eyes.

"This is Media Break. You give us three minutes and we'll give you the world," A news announcer said.

The screen switched to two news anchors sitting at a desk with a map of Remnant in the background.

"Good morning. I'm Bolin Hori with Arslan Atlan."

"Top story: Kuo Kuana," Bolin started off. "The threat of confrontation in Menagerie escalated today when the ruling Faunus government of that White Fang besieged continent unveiled a large, custom-made dust bomb and affirmed its willingness to use the device as the cities last line of defense."

"A dust bomb? Sounds rather excessive," Glynda said disapprovingly.

"The situation in Kuo Kuana must be dire if they're willing to use that sort of ordinance," Ironwood commented.

"Even so, that sounds like overkill to me," Sun stated.

"I just hope Adam isn't in this movie," Blake said, having seen enough of her former lover from the previous film.

A miniature screen appeared next to Bolin, showing riots and troop mobilization in Menagerie.

Arslan continued the report. "And Councilman Sleet's first press conference from the Atlesian Peace Platform got off to a shaky start when power failed, causing a brief, but harmless, period of weightlessness for the visiting councilman and his staff."

Another screen appeared next to Arslan, showing a large Atlesian satellite and a group of council members and astronauts floating around inside from zero gravity.

"So, this version of Remnant has developed space travel," Winter noted with a hint of envy.

"I truly hope I live to see that day," Oobleck said yearningly, having always been interested in the prospect of space travel.

"Just have faith, Bart." Port assured his old friend with a pat on the back.

"We'll be back in a moment," Arslan concluded as the news feed cut to commercial.

An advertisement appeared, showing Dr. Oobleck in a medical coat walking down a hospital hallway with his thermos in hand.

"Is it time for that big operation? This may be the most important decision of your life. So come down and talk to one of our qualified surgeons," Oobleck monologued as he entered a hospital room.

"There's you again, Bartholomew," Glynda pointed out.

"And you're a medical doctor in this universe," Port added.

"Interesting change of pace," Oobleck commented on his counterpart.

"Here at the Vale Heart Center we feature the complete Oobleck line series of artificial hearts," Oobleck explained with a promising smile as he picked up a model heart from a table. "You pick it. Extended warranties. Financing. Qualifies for health-tax credit."

"Artificial hearts, huh? Most noble of you, my friend," Port praised Oobleck with a clap in his shoulder.

"Indeed. No matter what field, a doctor always strives to assist others," Oobleck declared pridefully.

"And remember, we care," The doctor finished with a sip of coffee as an 1-800 number appeared beneath him.

The news continued with Bolin Hori giving his next report.

"Three dead police officers. One critically injured," Bolin announced. "Police union leaders blame Omni Consumer Products. OCP, a firm which has entered into a contract with the city to fund and run the Vale Metropolitan Police Department."

An icon of a MPD badge appeared before turning to a screen showing a slender, middle-aged man with black hair and a thick mustache. He wore a grey suit with yellow linings and a black necktie. A white text reading: 'Arthur Watts. OCP Senior President' was shown.

"Dr. Watts? I never thought I'd see him again. Or hoped to for that matter," Ironwood said bitterly, his eyes narrowing.

"I share your sentiments, sir," Winter agreed with a nod.

"For anyone who is curious, Dr. Watts was the lead researcher of the Atlas paladins until his recent death," Penny explained, eliciting nods of understanding from the audience.

"Every policeman knows there are certain risks that come with the territory," Watts said coldly on camera. "Any cop will tell you: If you can't stand the heat, you better stay out of the kitchen."

"Victim blaming bastard," Qrow snarled at the screen.

"No surprise there. I've heard Watts was always a pitiless sort of fellow," Oobleck said, sipping his coffee.

"That's putting it mildly," Ironwood said.

"Although seriously wounded. Officer Leonardo Lionheart escaped and identified this man: Roman Torchwick. Unofficial crime boss of Old Vale.

A black and white image of Roman smoking a cigar was displayed.

"Leonardo," Ozpin gasped in surprise at the mention of his old friend being wounded.

Glynda leered at Roman on the screen at the mention of the crime boss wounding Lionheart.

"Oh, goody. Roman's here again," Ruby drawled sarcastically.

"It looks like he's pretty much the same as his real life counterpart," Blake said, noticing he still had his bowler hat.

"Now sought in connection with the deaths of 31 police officers," Bolin continued. "Today he's at large, while doctors at Mt. Glenn Memorial Hospital fight to save the life of Officer Leonardo Lionheart. Good luck, Leo."

There were a few soft gasps and angry murmurs at Roman's cop body count.

"Did he say 31 police officers?" Velvet asked in shock.

"Yes, he did," Coco confirmed angrily.

The scene cut to a three story, concrete building with Vale's skyline in the morning background.

A white caption read: 'Vale. Police Precinct. Metro West.'

Inside, the precinct was bustling with VPD officers, perps in custody, and civilians giving reports. A police sergeant with black hair, red eyes, and light stubble left his office with an attorney and his client trailing him.

"Look, uncle Qrow! You're a cop!" Ruby pointed out excitedly.

Ironwood rolled his eyes while Winter sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose at the notion of Qrow being a police officer.

Qrow just smirked at them while sipping his flask.

"Attempted murder?!" The lawyer shouted with outrage. "It's not like he killed someone. This is a clear violation of my client's civil rights."

"Make it aggravated assault, and I can make bail, in cash, now!" The client added.

Sergeant Qrow Branwen lost his patience and grabbed the defense lawyer by the collar and pushed him towards the exit.

"Listen, pal!" Qrow snarled. "Your clients a scumbag, you're a scumbag, and scumbags see the judge on monday morning!"

"Damn right," Qrow said with a nod, hating slimy attorneys who coddled criminals.

"Yeah. You tell em' Uncle Qrow," Yang said.

The cowed lawyer didn't say a word in response.

"Now get out of my police station! And take laughing boy with you!" Qrow finished as he shoved the lawyer and his client away. As the two left the building, a blonde, stubbled, man in his late thirties entered and approached Sergeant Qrow sitting at his desk.

Ruby and Yang gasped in delight at the screen.

"And now dad's here!" Ruby squealed with joy.

"He's a cop too! I'll bet they'll fight crime together!" Yang said, pumping her fists in anticipation.

"I see the family resemblance to you, Yang," Blake said, taking note of Taiyangs hair color.

"Hopefully he won't make any appalling puns," Weiss muttered under her breath.

"Hi. Xiao Long. Transferring from Metro South," He introduced himself, handing a folder to Qrow.

"Nice precinct," Qrow complimented.

Taiyang smiled warmly. "Yeah, pretty good."

"We work for a living down here, Xiao Long," Qrow said sternly, handing a sheet of paper to Taiyang. "Get your armor and suit up."

"First day at the precinct and he's already being sent out," Jaune said, eating a handful of popcorn.

"With the state Vale is in, they'll need as many cops on the streets as possible," Pyrrha said.

Taiyang scanned the precinct, unsure where the locker room was. Qrow jerked his thumb in the right direction. As Taiyang headed off, a short man held up a cup for change.

"Not now EJ. Get a cup of coffee," Qrow dismissed.

EJ shook his head in disappointment. "Oh, sarge."

In the locker room, many MPD officers were gathering their things from their lockers as they prepared for a day of duty on the streets of Vale.

"Hey, Stark. Any word on Lionheart?" One officer asked his partner.

"They're still listing him as critical," Stark replied.

"His wife must be going out of her mind," A third officer added.

"It seems Lionheart was well liked in the VPD," Port noted with a hint of sadness.

"Hopefully he'll pull through," Glynda said trying to be optimistic.

Taiyang navigated down a hallway. Another officer approached him.

"Xiao Long?" The officer asked.

"Yeah, that's me."

"Manson," The officer offered his hand, which Taiyang shook. "What brings you to this little paradise?"

Taiyang shrugged. "Beats me, man. OCPs moving a lot of new guys up here."

"So their getting new transfers to deal with Roman," Qrow said.

"They'll need them with someone as dangerous as him on the loose," Ironwood said, remembering Roman was a serious cop killer in this universe.

Taiyang and Manson moved to the precinct changing room where more officers were gearing up or drying off from showering.

"They cut ten guys loose over on the east side," One officer complained.

"You try to get backup when you're in a jam," Another retorted.

Manson chuckled sarcastically. "Yeah, try to get a medevac after you've been jammed."

"Well, I'll tell you what we should do. We should strike!" One officer in a towel suggested.

"Cops on strike? That doesn't sound good at all," Jaune said.

"It isn't. It's a sure indication of extreme civil unrest. And one of the downsides of privatized law enforcement," Ironwood explained.

"No doubt a result of OCPs inability to handle Torchwick and other criminals," Winter added.

Suddenly, the room fell silent as Sergeant Qrow and a bespectacled officer holding an evidence bag entered. Taiyang took notice as he opened his assigned locker. Without a word, Qrow approached Officer Fredrickson's locker and slid off the name tag. The other officers looked discouraged.

Ozpin gripped his coffee mug, now realizing Lionheart was dead. He inwardly cursed Roman and the OCP's ineptitude.

Glynda, Port, and Oobleck all bowed their heads in respect for their fallen friend.

"The funerals tomorrow," Qrow announced, opening Fredrickson's locker. "The department requests that all officers not on duty to attend. Any donations for the family may be given to Cecil as usual."

Cecil began to clean out Lionheart's locker as Qrow continued.

"And I don't want to hear any more talk about strike. We're not plumbers, we're police officers. And police officers don't strike!" Qrow finished.

"They will if OCP doesn't get it's ass in gear," Sun said angrily.

The officers didn't look pleased with Qrows lecture.

"Xiao Long, front and center," Qrow summoned

Taiyang loaded his handgun as the other officers muttered amongst themselves. He shut his locker, now with the name tag "Xiao Long" on it.

Taiyang returned to the precincts lobby, passing a couple of scantily clad women booked for prostitution.

"Oooh, tiger!" One of the girls purred at Taiyang.

"Ugh! Damn street walkers," Qrow sneered while shaking his head.

"Well, how about that? You do have standards after all," Winter said.

Qrow glared at Winter while Weiss giggled at her sisters comment.

Taiyang ignored the women as he took notice two officers struggling to subdue an out-of-control perp. One of the cops wore a riot helmet and body armor.

The perp threw them both off at first, until the helmeted cop got angry. She delivered a kick to the perps back, slammed him headfirst into a wall, then finally decked him with three swift punches to the face. Taiyang watched in amazement.

"Goodwitch!" Qrow shouted. "Come here when you're finished fucking around with your suspect."

"What? I'm a police officer?" Glynda said, taken aback.

"I didn't see that coming," Port said, sipping a diet soda.

"So, that means your taking orders from me," Qrow smugly pointed out, earning an irritated look from Glynda.

Officer Glynda Goodwitch turned to Qrow as she removed her helmet. She approached Port and Taiyang as the latter slipped on his armor.

"This guy's gonna be your new partner," Port explained. "Xiao Long, meet Goodwitch. Show him the neighborhood."

"Glad to know you, Xiao Long," Glynda said as she shook Taiyangs hand.

"Pretty neat," Taiyang replied.

"I wouldn't use the word 'neat', to describe the partnership," Glynda stated.

"What do you mean, Ms. Goodwitch?" Ruby asked.

The two officers entered the parking garage and approached a police cruiser.

"I better drive until you know your way around," Glynda said as she opened the driver door.

However, Taiyang blocked her way. "I usually drive when I'm breaking in a new partner," he retorted with a grin as he sat in the driver's seat.

Glynda looked annoyed as she circled around the car and hopped into the passenger seat.

Ruby and Yang giggled while Glynda sighed and rolled her eyes.

"That's what I meant," Glynda answered Ruby's question.

"She should have called driver," Qrow snickered.

"Is that how dad acted during his student years at Beacon, Ms. Goodwitch?" Yang asked curiously.

"More or less. He could be quite the handful at times," Glynda replied dully, thinking back on Taiyangs rebellious attitude.

Taiyang started up the cruiser and drove up the exit ramp, leaving the precinct.

Meanwhile, in downtown Vale, three well-dressed executives stepped onto an elevator with the OCP logo on the wall. One was a brunette in his mid-30s, the second was a portly, bespectacled, dark-skinned man in his early-40s, and the third was in his early 50s with grey hair and a full beard and mustache.

Penny's eyes widened in surprise. "Father?" She whispered.

Ruby gaped at Penny. "What? He's your father?!"

"Yes. Dr. Pietro Polendina is the scientist who designed and built Penny," Winter explained.

"And Dr. Merlot is here too?" Ozpin said, equally surprised.

"Who is Dr. Merlot?" Velvet asked.

"A deceased Valean scientist," Ozpin answered curtly, glaring at the screen.

The students were confused by Ozpins hostility towards Merlot.

"Do you really think the old man is going to be there?" The youngest executive, Kinney, asked. "Why would they invite us?"

"Well, all the division heads are bringing their support teams," Polendina explained. "It's big. I figure they're green lighting delta city."

"Are you kidding?" Merlot scoffed. "They never do anything ahead of schedule. It's Watts. He's got the 209 series ready and wants to show off."

The elevator ascended the colossal OCP building.

"Wow. And I thought Schnee Plaza was big," Neptune said, referencing the previous film.

"Oooh, that's a tough break, Albert," Polendina said.

"What?" Merlot asked.

"When ED-209 ran into serious delays and cost overruns, the old man ordered a backup plan."

"95th floor. Have a nice day," an automated voice said as the elevator opened.

"95 floors?" Weiss gasped, realizing Neptune was correct.

"I wonder if OCP is similar to the SDC," Velvet said, eating a slice of carrot cake.

"To some extent, Ms. Scarlatina. However, OCP focuses more on technology and robotics." Gold-Sith answered.

"So that's where Robocop comes in," Sun assumed.

The three men stepped off the elevator and followed Merlot down a hallway as he hurried towards the board room.

"Probably just to light a fire under Watts' ass," Polendina guessed about the CEO's demands.

"Yeah?" Kinney inquired.

"Old Albert here gets the assignment," Polendina explained. "Nobody in Security Concepts takes it seriously."

Other executives were heading towards the conference room as well.

"It looks like there's a meeting being held," Oobleck pointed out, sipping his coffee.

"Hopefully to discuss a solution to Vales rampant crime rate," Port said, hoping Lionheart would receive justice.

"It's a better plan than fucking Watts'," Merlot snarled. "I'd go straight to the old man if I could."

"Don't mess with Watts, man," Polendina warned. "He'll make sushi out of you."

Merlot just sighed deeply.

"He's right. Corporate big wigs are very dangerous to cross," Weiss said, knowing her father was the worst one of all.

"Yeah, you better be careful man. I hear Watts is a real shark," Kinney added.

Merlot rounded on Kinney. "Who asked you twerp?"

In the board room, Arthur Watts was conversing with the 'old man' himself as they walked alongside the conference table.

"There you are, headmaster," Oobleck pointed out, surprised by Ozpins role.

"So, I'm the CEO of OCP. Fascinating," Ozpin said, wondering how his counterpart would play out.

"Arthur, what's the problem with this police thing?" Ozpin asked.

"Their unions been bitching ever since we took over," Watts replied dismissively. "You know, the usual nonsense. But we'll turn things around."

Many audience members were angered by Watts casual dismissal of the VPD's suffering.

"Bitching?!" Winter said indignantly.

"Heartless prick," Qrow growled.

Ironwood just scowled and shook his head in contempt.

"Hmm, good. Very good," Ozpin said. "Let's get started."

Everyone took their seats around the table.

"My friends," Ozpin started off. "I've had this dream for more than a decade now. A dream which I've invited you all to share with me. In six months, we begin construction of New Vale. Where Old Vale now stands."

The board of directors observed a white plastic, futuristic city model of 'New Vale' on a nearby table. They smiled and gave Ozpin a round of applause.

"Old Vale has a cancer," Ozpin continued. "The cancer is crime. And it must be cut out before we employ the two million workers who will breathe life into this city again."

"So I plan to eliminate crime to help rebuild Vale from the ground up," Ozpin said uncertainly, admiring his counterparts vision but dubious on it's feasibility.

"It does sound a bit sketchy, but he seems to truly care for Vales citizens," Glynda said.

"Certainly more than we can say for Watts," Ironwood added, drinking a glass of water.

"Yes. All the shifts in tax structure have made the economy ideal for corporate growth," Ozpin continued. "But community services, in this case law enforcement, have suffered. I think it's time we gave something back."

Watts stood up, continuing the lecture.

"Take a close look at the track record of this company," Watts said. "And you'll see that we have gambled in markets traditionally regarded as non-profit. Hospitals, prisons, space exploration. I say good business is where you find it."

There was a second round of applause from the board.

"As you know, we've entered into a contract with the city to run local law enforcement," Watts continued. "But at security concepts, we believe an efficient police force is only part of the solution. No, we need something more."

Watts began to walk towards the board room's double doors.

"We need a 24-hour a day police officer," He continued. "A cop who doesn't need to eat or sleep. A cop with superior firepower and the reflexes to use it."

Nora grinned excitedly. "Oooooh! It sounds like we're about to meet Robocop."

"Actually, Nora. Merlot referred to Watt's project as ED-209," Penny corrected.

"Robocop could be a nickname for it," Ren theorized.

"Fellow executives, it gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the future of law enforcement," Watts said as he opened the doors.

Standing in the doorway was a bulky, ten-foot tall, robot. It was bipedal with a grey paint job, a large, grate-faced head with duel auto-cannons on either side instead of arms.

"ED-209," Watts announced.

"Awesome robot!" Nora praised.

"Yeah! Those cannons look hardcore!" Ruby added.

"I don't know. It seems a bit clunky to me," Weiss said skeptically, being more familiar with robots from Atlas.

"Personally, that's not how I envisioned Robocop," Oobleck said, expecting the title character to be more humanoid like the Atlesian knights.

The entire board gazed at the robot, whispering in amazement. A team of scientists wheeled a control panel into the board room. Watts beckoned one of the scientists to activate ED-209.

ED-209's legs extended as it thrummed to life. It lumbered into the board room on its stocky legs. The startled executives recoiled from the robot as it stopped dangerously close to the conference table.

"The enforcement droid series 209 is a self-sufficient law enforcement robot," Watts continued his lecture. "209 is currently programmed for urban pacification. But that is only the beginning. After a successful tour of duty in Old Vale, we can expect 209 to be the hot military product for the next decade."

Ozpin observed Watts demonstration with uncertainty on his face.

"I don't have a good feeling about this," Ozpin echoed his counterparts thoughts.

"I agree. It reminds me of the Atlesian Knight prototypes. They were cumbersome and full of glitches," Ironwood said skeptically.

"Hopefully this model is up to the task," Penny said, also dubious about ED-209.

"Dr. McNamara," Watts beckoned.

"We'll need an arrest subject," McNamara requested.

"Mr. Kinney, could you give us a hand please?" Watts summoned one of the directors.

Kinney stood up from his seat. "Yes, sir."

"Mr. Kinney is going to help us simulate a typical arrest and disarming procedure," Watts explained as he picked up a handgun and loaded it.

"Mr. Kinney. Use the gun in a threatening manner," Watts instructed, handing the gun to the young executive.

Kinney pointed the gun at Watts, who scowled in annoyance.

"Point it at ED-209," Watts snarled.

"Yes, sir," Kinney replied awkwardly.

Several audience members laughed. Weiss smirked, imagining an SDC employee doing the same thing to her father.

Kinney nervously levelled the gun at ED-209, who immediately reacted. It's legs extended and it leveled it's weapons towards the executive.

"Please put down your weapon," ED-209 demanded in a deep, automated, voice. "You have twenty seconds to comply."

"I think you'd better do as he says, Mr. Kinney," Watts insisted with a nod.

Kinney obliged and threw the gun away. But ED-209 only took a threatening step forward, growling like a tiger.

"You now have fifteen seconds to comply."

"Wait... what?" Jaune asked, his eyes widening.

"Uh-oh," Ruby muttered.

"I knew something like this would happen," Blake said.

Kinney looked confused. Watts shot a glance towards the technicians, who immediately opened the control panel.

"Pull the plug!" One of the technicians cried.

Kinney backed away in wide-eyed terror.

"You are in direct violation of penal code 113, section 9."

"But he already threw away the gun," Ruby said in confusion.

"It's malfunctioning. They didn't work out the bugs," Penny answered.

"I hope it's not loaded with live ammo," Winter, though given the panicked reactions of the technicians, she already knew the answer.

"This won't end well," Glynda predicted nervously.

The other executives began to panic as they realized what was about to happen.

"You now have five seconds to comply," ED-209 warned.

Kinney ran to the conference table, ED-209's aim following him.

"Help me!" Kinney begged his colleagues.

"Get away!" One executive replied, shoving Kinney away to avoid being shot.

"Four, three, two, one," ED-209 counted down. "I'm now authorized to use deadly force."

ED-209 opened fire with both autocannons, peppering Kinney's chest with bullets. He spasmed and stumbled backwards, falling onto the New Vale model table. The other executives screamed in terror and dove for cover under the conference table. The technicians frantically fiddled with the control panel. ED-209 continued firing on Kinney's corpse even as he lay sprawled on the table.

Everyone looked shocked and disgusted by the carnage.

"He's already dead, you bucket of bolts!" Neptune shouted at the screen.

"I take it back. I don't like that robot," Nora said, wincing at the gory scene.

"They most certainly didn't work out the bugs," Penny rephrased her earlier statement.

Finally, one of the technicians ripped out the main wiring from the motherboard. ED-209 ceased fire as it sputtered and deactivated, slumping downwards. Ozpin buried his face in his hands in exasperation.

The frightened executives emerged from cover to observe the carnage. A few of them approached Kinney's corpse.

"Somebody want to call an Oum-damn paramedic?!" Merlot shouted. "Let's go, Polendina!"

"Don't touch him! Don't touch him!" Polendina shouted as he picked up a phone on the conference table.

"I think it's too late for that," Yang said.

"I think they'll need a mop and a bucket instead," Coco added.

"What was Watts thinking loading that thing with live ammo during a demonstration?" Velvet said with outrage.

"He probably didn't care. He just wanted to show off his project," Weiss answered.

"He didn't hear the gun drop." One of the technicians pointed out.

"He didn't hear it?!" Another technician exclaimed.

Arthur slowly approached Ozpin at the end of the table.

"Arthur, I'm very disappointed," Ozpin scolded.

"I'm sure it's only a glitch," Watts assured. "A temporary setback."

Ozpin stood up in outrage. "You call this a glitch?! A board member is dead because of your recklessness!"

"He's decent enough to call Watts out for his mistake," Glynda noted.

"He's certainly better than my father as a CEO," Weiss said.

"If that was my true self, I'd fire Watts at the very least," Ozpin said.

"Plus, you're scheduled to begin construction in six months," Ozpin reminded, walking away from the table. "Your 'temporary setback' could cost us 50 million lien in interests alone."

"Not necessarily, sir," Merlot said as he followed Ozpin. "Perhaps you've heard of the Robocop program developed by myself and security concepts as a contingency against just this sort of thing?"

"Oh, so Merlot's in charge of the Robocop program," Port said in realization.

"And now that Watt's demonstration was a disaster, it'll probably come to fruition," Oobleck added.

"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Merlot," Arthur interjected, placing himself between Merlot and Ozpin. "I'm sure this is something my—"

"Arthur!" Ozpin interrupted angrily. "Maybe what we need here is a fresh perspective. Tell me about your plan, Mr. Merlot. How long will it take?"

"We're ready to go, Mr. Ozpin," Merlot replied, his face beaming. "We've restructured the police department and placed prime candidates according to risk factor. I'm confident we can go to prototype within 90 days."

"Good. Very good," Ozpin said. "Get your staff together, Mr. Merlot. I'll expect a full presentation in 20 minutes."

Ozpin walked away while Watts glared daggers at Merlot for upstaging him.

"Thank you, sir," Merlot replied, locking heated gazes with Watts before leaving the conference room.

"Looks like he just made himself a powerful enemy," Neptune said.

"That's an inevitable part of big business, unfortunately," Weiss said, expecting future hostilities between Watts and Merlot.

Merlot and Polendina exited the conference room and made their way back to the elevator.

"Yes! Now, that's how it's done in the big leagues, Polendina," Merlot said excitedly. "You see an opening, you go for it!"

The two men stepped onto the elevator.

"You better watch your back, Albert," Polendina warned. "Watts will be looking for you."

"Oh, fuck Watts," Merlot scoffed. "He fumbled the ball, and I was there to pick it up."

"Even so, Watts won't take kindly to having his toes stepped on," Ironwood pointed out, knowing how spiteful Watts was.

"Something tells me he'll retaliate," Winter added.

"Too bad about Kinney, huh?" Polendina said sadly.

Merlot shrugged it off. "That's life in the big city."

"Cold as ever, aren't you Albert?" Ozpin said with a scowl.

"He showed the same indifference towards the inhabitants of Mountain Glenn," Glynda said with contempt.

"What do you mean, professor?" Ruby asked curiously.

"Yeah. What did Merlot do?" Jaune questioned.

Ozpin hesitated before answering. "Dr. Merlot was responsible for the Mountain Glenn incident. He caused it by experimenting with Grimm within the settlement."

"The only bright side was that he was killed in the process," Port added without sympathy.

Everyone unaware of Dr. Merlot's role in Mountain Glenn's fall was shocked by this revelation.

The elevator descended back down the building.

"When do we start?" Polendina asked.

"As soon as some poor schmuck volunteers," Merlot replied.

Ruby blinked. "What does he mean by 'volunteer'?"

"I don't know, but it doesn't sound good," Penny replied.

Meanwhile, in New Vale, Taiyang was spinning his gun outside a coffee shop. Glynda stepped out holding two fresh coffees. She took a sip from one as she observed Taiyangs gun twirling. Taiyang gave her a proud smile.

"Cool moves," Yang complimented.

"Can you do that, Ren?" Nora asked her partner.

"I'd never try it. Gun twirling is extremely reckless and dangerous," Ren replied.

"Pretty fancy moves, Xiao Long," Glynda complimented as she approached her partner.

"Yeah, well. My two daughters Yang and Ruby watch this cop show, TJ Lazer," Taiyang explained. "This Lazer guy does this every time he takes down bad guys. So, naturally, my kids think every good cop should do it."

"I remember that show," Jaune reminisced with a goofy smile.

"Me too. I watched it all the time as a kid," Neptune said.

"Do you think we'll show up later?" Ruby asked Yang hopefully.

"Maybe sis. We'll see," Yang replied.

"And you don't want to disappoint them."

"Yeah, well, role models can be very important to girls," Taiyang reasoned as he took his coffee and tasted it.

"That's true. In fact, every child should have a strong figure to look up to," Ozpin.

"Especially aspiring hunters and huntresses," Glynda added.

"Our dad and uncle Qrow definitely fit the bill," Ruby said, enjoying a cup of strawberries.

Glynda gave Taiyang an amused smile.

"Okay, Okay, I get a kick out of it," Taiyang admitted with his own smile.

"It looks like their partnership is going well so far," Ozpin said, smiling warmly.

"Let's hope it lasts," Glynda said.

"All units. Sector Nine," The police cruiser's radio emitted.

Glynda quickly threw her coffee away and hopped into the cruisers drivers seat.

"Why don't you drive?" Taiyang said smiling as he hopped into the passenger seat.

"Suspects are armed and considered dangerous," The dispatcher continued as the cruiser sped off.

Elsewhere in Vale, a delivery van cruised down a road. Inside was a gang of thugs armed with shotguns and wearing dark clothing, red sunglasses, and bowler hats. An orange haired man with a red-brimmed bowler hat was angrily opening containers full of burnt, partially melted, lien chips.

"Shit! I don't believe it!" Roman shouted at one of his goons. "You burnt the fucking money!"

"Looks like they just pulled off a robbery," Velvet pointed at.

"An unsuccessful one by the looks of it," Coco added, grinning at Roman's anger.

"I had to blow the door! What do you want?" The goon, Bobby, defended.

"It's as good as marked, you asshole!" Roman replied, throwing the ruined lien at Bobby. "You stupid, stupid, asshole!"

"Roman!" The driver called from upfront, slapping the dashboard of the van.

"What, Junior?! What do you want?!"

"We've got a cop on our tail!"

Roman and his thugs, Tuskon, Yuma, Trifa, and Bobby grabbed their weapons. Tuskon, opened a small hatch in the back of the van and peered out. He spotted a police cruiser. Taiyang and Glynda were the occupants.

"Come on, man! Speed it up!" Tuskon urged Junior while the other goons loaded their weapons.

"Move it!" added.

"As if a truck can outrun a police car," Yang scoffed.

"Yeah. Dad will catch them. No problem," Ruby added.

Roman ran to the cab as Junior struggled to accelerate faster.

"This crate ain't gonna outrun a cop!" Junior explained.

"Slow down then," Roman ordered.

"What?! Are you crazy, man?!"

Roman punched Junior's shoulder. "Shut the fuck up and do it! Just do it!"

In the police car, Taiyang grabbed the radio microphone as Glynda drove in pursuit of the van.

"Central, this is 154," Taiyang reported. "We're in pursuit of 211 suspect. Request backup."

"Roger, 154," Central confirmed. "Backup currently unavailable."

"So, they're on their own," Ruby pointed out.

"Don't worry, sis. Dad can handle them," Yang assured.

"Maybe they'll finally avenge all the cops Roman has killed," Port said hopefully.

Taiyang grabbed his helmet from the floorboards and put it on. The van was only a hundred feet ahead by that point.

"Give me your piece," Taiyang requested from Glynda, who gave him her handgun.

"ETA 15 minutes," central continued over the radio as Taiyang cocked his handgun and Glynda's.

"Bobby! Get the door!" Roman ordered as he lifted his shotgun. "Everybody load up! Come on!"

Roman and his goons hoisted their weapons as they faced the vans backdoor.

Taiyang held both handguns akimbo as Glynda got closer to the van.

"Okay!" Taiyang shouted, lowering the face shield on his helmet.

"All right, here we go!" Glynda said as she sped up.

Taiyang hung partially out the passenger window, guns at the ready. The van was only thirty feet away at that point.

"Now!" Roman shouted with his shotgun at the ready.

Bobby kicked the vans double doors open. The thugs unleashed a barrage of shotgun fire. But the police cruiser was nowhere to be seen. They ceased fire.

"What the fuck?" Yuma said, confused.

"Where did he go, Junior?" Tuskon asked Junior.

Junior looked around then spotted the cruiser on the right.

"Here! He's up here!"

"Clever flanking move," Ironwood complimented. "That leaves only a small window for them to fire back."

Glynda had maneuvered the cruiser on the van's right side, keeping pace while Taiyang took aim over the roof through the passenger window. Roman opened the passenger window as he and Taiyang exchanged gunfire.

"He's on the side!" Tuskon shouted.

"He's over there!" Trifa added.

Taiyang ducked back into the cruiser as Glynda slowed down. She swerved back behind the van. Taiyang and the thugs exchanged fire again. This time, Taiyang landed a hit on Bobby's leg.

"Yeah! Way to go, dad!" Ruby cheered her father.

"Maybe you're right, Peter.

"Get him!" Roman yelled.

The thugs shot out the police cruisers back window and top lights but missed the two officers. Glynda veered left, flanking the van once again.

"Oh, Roman! My leg!" Bobby groaned in pain, clutching his wounded limb.

Roman pondered for a moment. "Tuskon, pick him up."

"I think I know what they're going to do," Jaune said.

In the police cruiser, Taiyang was reloading his pistols.

"Ready?" Glynda asked.

"Nope. Hang on," Taiyang replied, he was almost finished.

"Come on, Bobby!" Tuskon shouted.

"Can you fly, Bobby!" Roman asked smugly.

"Roman! No!" Bobby pleaded, realizing what his boss had in mind.

"Noooo!" Bobby screamed as he was flung from the van.

"He's as much a scumbag here as he is in our world," Pyrrha remarked with disgust.

"No doubt, the real Roman would kill his own subordinates to escape the authorities," Glynda agreed, sipping a glass of white wine.

Bobby landed back first onto the police car, smashing through the windshield. Glynda hit the breaks and the cruiser skidded out of control while the cackling thugs sped away. Taiyang reached through the broken windshield and pushed Bobby's corpse off, dropping him onto the pavement.

"That's gotta hurt," Neptune said, wincing slightly.

"Talk about hitting the road," Yang chuckled.

Everyone groaned at the pun.

Glynda regained control of the car and continued pursuing the van down the road.

Authors Note: Once again, Robocop is a classic movie and one of my favorite Sci-Fi flicks. I'm surprised nobody else had done a RWBY adaptation of Robocop and I received the most requests for it so that's why I chose it. Stay tuned.
