A month has passed since the world went back to normal. Six chosen ones fought with Digimon to save two worlds. Little did they know that defeating the Eaters was not the end of it. A new threat has appeared in the Digital World. Now the Cyber Sleuths and their friends are on the case to save Digimon from a war. ...And new allies join them from close by and somewhere VERY far way.

86. Chapter 86: The Eclipse

Huanglongmon howled before leering at the humans and their Digimon in front of them. "I've...never seem a Digimon that massive before!" Shiki shrieked.

"Yeah, look at that thing!" Kouta yelled. "How did Darcmon turn into THAT?!"

"Darcmon!" Ami screamed. "Darcmon!"

The humongous Dragon roared. "BLACKOUT AWSOME QUAKE!"

Everyone yelped as they fell over. "I cannot sense Darcmon's consciousness anymore..." Alphamon said.

"No..." Yuuko trembled. "Don't say it..."

"She probably is still in there. It's just the clashing wills of the Sovereign inside her are overwhelming her. But because of that this Huanglongmon has no will of its own. It is just...a rampaging wild beast now."

"So, what do we do?!" Takumi shouted. "How do we save Darcmon?!"

"…I don't know if we can..."

"No." Arata glared. "I'm not giving up! There's gotta be a way to save her! I'm not accepting this! You hear me?!"

Huanglongmon let out another roar. "Guys, look out!" Hudiemon shouted.

"PURGING GALE STORM!" A mighty maelstrom blew around the team. It wildly surrounded the team loudly swirling around them. It died down after they all burst out of it. All of them assuming their stronger forms through EXE, X-Evolution and other enhancements.

"Guys...it looks like we have no choice but to fight!" Fei said.

"Are you crazy, Darcmon's in there!" Nokia shouted.

Huanglongmon roared. "EMPEROR'S MACE!" It spun around and swung its tail at the team who barley moved out of the way in time.

"Yeah?! Well, if we just stand around "Darcmon" is going to be the end of us all!" Sayo replied.

"We don't need to destroy her!" Koh said. "We just need to stop her!"

Noir flew ahead with Shoma on him. "Transcendent Cannon!" He fired multiple blasts at Huanglongmon but it didn't even react.

Shoma was at a loss. "What?!"

"Sprout Rush!" Faye flew in and thrusted her lance at the beast repeatedly until it smacked its head into her blowing her back. The spot she struck didn't have a scratch on it.

"Are you kidding me?!" Shiki gapped.

Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode leapt up and drew his sword. "Splendid Blade of Tranquility!" He slashed eight times in the blink of an eye. But still no damage.

"It's like trying to cut open a diamond!" Yuuko exclaimed.

"Lasser Gattling Arm!" Rapidmon Armor X flew by shooting but still got no results. "This is the power of the Yellow Dragon..."

"Legend says Huanglongmon's body was impossible to damage!" Omegamon Merciful Mode replied shooting at the dragon in question.

"Wait, WHAT?!" Nokia gapped. "Is that even allowed?! How are we supposed to win then?!"

"Calm down, that legend is clearly exaggerated!" Mameo replied. "The Sovereign beat this thing, so it isn't invincible!"

"Giga Blaster!" HerculesKabuterimon X shot a golden ray from his horn that dissipated against Huanglongmon's body doing nothing.

As Diaboromon X, Apollomon, Dianamon, Rosemon X and Omni flew towards Huanglongmon, it made Its next attack. "REQUIEM OCEN WAVE!" A giant tidal wave rose up swallowing them all and slamming them to the ground.

"Guys, are you alright?!" Yuugo shouted.

"Yeah..." Arata groaned as he, Ami, Sayo, Koh, and Takuto sat up in their drenched clothes. "Just peachy." Ami coughed out water.

Huanglongmon stomped forwards towards them. "Oh no you don't!" Hudiemon flew up in front of it. "Infinity Dream!" Her eyes unleashed a powerful blue light.

But Huanglongmon was unphased. "CRUCIFIED THUNDER FALL!" Hudiemon screamed as she, Samudramon X, Rikka, Rapidmon Armor X and Infinity were all struck by lightning.

"Erika!" Keisuke shouted as the human/Digimon hybrid fell downwards. His Digimon flew in, and he caught her. They flew a safe distance, and he got off before setting Hudiemon down. "Stay here. This is unlike any other Digimon we've ever delt with." He got back on HerculesKabuterimon X and flew off.

Hudiemon groaned getting onto her knees. "What am I, the damsel in distress? I can practically hear Chitoste making fun of me right now...Still…it's new seeing Keisuke act all manly. …I kinda like it."

"Graceful Cannon!"

"Rewind Abyss 13!" Diaboromon X and Omegamon Merciful Mode attacked together but Huanglongmon took no damage.

"Strike harder!" Alphamon Oryuken said. "I know you're more then this! Nokia! Everyone! Put more power into your Digimon's attacks!"

Nokia's lip quivered. "I...I can't...I just can't! It isn't Darcmon's fault!"

Takumi gritted his teeth. "If only Ami and I could still Connect Jump..."

Ami frowned. "Yeah...maybe we could pull Darcmon out of there..."

"Oh, no!" Arata yelled. "We're not letting you do that again! Not after last time!"

Keisuke activated Overclock. "No other choice. We just gotta bear with the strain!" He closed his eyes activating Matrix Link. "Horn Buster Revision!" He and HerculesKabuterimom X roared as they slammed a golden horn straight into Huanglongmon's skull. They shouted as loud as they could pushing with all their might. But eventually they bounced off the dragon without leaving even the smallest dent. "Gah! How...?!"

"Overclock and Matrix Link together didn't even make a difference?!" Yuugo exclaimed.

High above the battle BoltBoutamon laughed. "Excellent! This exceeds my expectations!"

Leopardmon's eyes were on the battle. "The new Yellow Dragon is powerful indeed. They can't even hurt it."

"Y-your majesty..." An Anubismon flew over. "This is all well and good, but do you have a plan to restrain that thing once it kills our enemies?"

"He is a mindless beast in this form with no sense of friend or foe." Leopardmon replied. "And as you can see, stopping it is impossible."

"B-but then what do we do if it decides to go against us?!"

"You think I did not plan for this? Huanglongmon will not remain in this world for long."

BoltBoutamon flew over to the Anubismon and put an arm over his shoulders. "Let me put it to you this way buddy." he casually said before pointing down at the battle. "That going on down there, is rehearsal. After that thing crushes those humans, we're sending the big guy to the stage for the main event."

Anubismom looked at him awkwardly. "That...really just provides more questions than answers."

"You will have your answers once Huanglongmon is done with the vermin." Leopardmon replied before looking back down. "Don't worry. At this rate it won't be much longer."

Gallantmon priced through a Arukenimom with his lance and flung it into a Blue MegaKabuterimon. "Their forces are thinning! One last push everyone!"

UlforceVeedramon punched a Golemon and then noticed a RustyTyranomon rushing at one ofhis comrades from behind. "Magnamon, look out!" The golden Royal Knight turned around and crossed his arms when...

"Oblivion Cannon!" A purple beam obliterated the target and many other Next Order Digimon. As they dropped and disappeared the remaining Next Order troops saw Beelzemon along with the Three Musketeers and the Legendary Warriors and ran off in a panic.

"BeelStarmon! You have all returned!" Gallantmon gasped.

MagnaKidmon grinned and tilted his hat. "Sorry to keep ya waitin' folks!"

Gankoomon looked at the new member of the group. "Wait...this presence...Beelzemon?!"

Kentaurosmon aimed his crossbow at the Deadly Digimon of Gluttony. "What the hell are you doing here?! How are you even alive?!"

"Easy there!" Kumamon said jumping between them. "He's on our side!"

"You're joking, right?" Leomon asked.

"Look, we can talk about him latter, right now we need to hurry to the top of the mountain ASAP!" Agunimon shouted.

"Is something wrong?" Sistermon Ceil (Awake) asked.

"We just got a peek at Leopardmon's Project Nexus." BeelStarmon replied with a serious look in her eyes. "That bastard is about to do something outrageous."

"CRAZED METEOR FALL!" Huanglongmon wailed into the sky and a black void appeared above it before many burning meteors came flying down towards the team.

Everyone scattered to get away. But it didn't stop Infinity, Alphamon Oryuken, Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode and Faye from getting caught in the resulting explosions. "Damn it!" Takumi growled as he and Rapidmon Armor X rose from the smoke and took aim.

"TAK...UMI..."

Hearing a familiar voice sent a dagger into the teenager's heart. "Darcmon...!"

Huanglongmon's mouth opened as it's jaws aproached. "Takumi, move!" Sayo shouted as Dianamon flew up and dragged Rapidmon Armor X out of the way.

"She really is still trapped in there..." Ami trembled. "If...if we destroy this thing...won't we also kill Darcmon?!"

"No..." Nokia's eyes watered. "I...I can't lose her too..."

"Dammit..." Arata shouted. "Godammit!"

"This isn't good..." Takuto said. "Nothing is working, and the team is losing heart..."

Huanglongmon's twelve DigiCores flashed as its head rose. "YELLOW CIRCLE!" With a how a golden typhoon started to form around it.

Koh panicked as the storm drew close. "Watch out!" Apollomon Oryuken and the other Digimon tried to get away, but they didn't get very far before the attack started to pull them in. Dianamon tried sticking her weapon into the ground but was the first to get pulled in. Apollomon was next. Soon all the Digimon were pulled into the storm and all they could do was hold on tightly to their Tamers to protect them. Huanglongmon let out a roar that dissipated the storm and sent them all flying and crashing into the ground.

Shoma groaned sitting up next to his beaten Digimon lying in the dirt. "It really is...a monster..."

"The legends..." Omegamon Merciful Mode mumbled. "...they were true...no...Huanglongmon is even more ferocious then he was in the stories..."

"Crap..." Fei growled. "We came this far just to lose to this...?"

"Darcmon..." Ami whimpered. "Darcmon!"

Huanglongmon stomped on the ground and roared. Keisuke stared from his back. "This thing...could end the whole world...all is lost."

"Stop talking like that!" Sayo's shout directed everyone's attention to her. "Did all of you fight this hard, come this far just to quit at the end?! Those aren't the Tamers I fought with to get here! And this isn't the Cyber Sleuths who went great lengths to help me!"

"Sayo's right." Koh said weakly getting back onto his feet. "Doubting yourself and your Digimon...you're better than this!"

"But what are we supposed to do...?" Himari asked. "We can't even hurt this thing..."

"Then we try again!" Sayo replied. "And if it doesn't work, we try again after that! And again, and again, and again! We keep fighting and moving forward! That's what Union City Tamers do!"

"You do realize you and Koh are the only Union City Tamers here, right?" Arata asked.

"Then maybe it's time for us to show you how to step up." Koh said taking a step towards Huanglongmon with a hand on his shoulder. "Maybe there's a reason why Sayo and I were brought here. Not because we were kidnapped by that masked freak. But because there are things here we are meant to do. That only we can do."

Sayo looked up and Huanglongmon and smirked. "Heh. As Mirei would put it, all is withing the "hands of fate". I still think a lot of her talk about fate and destiny is just talk. And I want to believe I am on control of my own life. But meeting Takumi and Ami...coming to this world...this vary moment at the end of the war against the Next Order...maybe this is a matter of fate."

"Either way, you guys went out of your way to help us and all of Union City...and we promised to return that favor! And we will keep that promise!"

Takumi looked at them. "Sayo...Koh..."

Sayo smirked at Koh. "Heh. Look at us. You would think we were partners or something. Even though one of us is from Night Crow, and the other is with Light Fang. And to top it all of, we've been rivals since we met."

"So?" Koh grinned back at her. "Opposing things can work together. Chief Glare once told me that there can be not light without darkness. That's why it's necessary for SunShine City to work alongside DarkMoon City at times."

"Huh. Chief Julia said something similar to me once. She said that we should view our two cities like the sun and moon. The world can't exist without either. Both are necessary to all life in their own unique ways."

"Interesting. So, if our side is the sun and yours is the moon, does that mean your light is just ours reflected off you?"

"Ha, ha, ha. Big talk from the guy who to this day has never beaten me."

"Hey, I'll have you know I've gotten stronger since our last bout."

"Oh really?"

Luche looked back and forth between Sayo and Koh. "W-why are they arguing?"

"How can those kids bicker at a time like this...?" Yuuko muttered.

"Sayo! Koh!" Ami shouted pointing at Huanglongmon. "Are you two trying to pick a fight with that thing or each other? Frankly either idea sounds crazy..."

Shiki squinted. "Seriously. I can't tell if you two should be making out right now or duking it out with each other."

Sayo and Koh stared back at the group then looked at each other. They started to giggle before breaking into a laughing fit. "Yup. It's settled." Arata muttered. "Those two have lost it."

"Of course I want to settle the score with Sayo." Koh grinned putting a hand on his chest. "I AM a proud Tamer of Light Fang after all."

"Yeah. I want to kick this guy's butt every time I see him too." Sayo teased.

"Even at a time like this?" Mameo asked.

"Sure. We're rivals. We always compete. But that doesn't mean I don't respect Koh."

"Same here." Koh nodded. "Sayo's probably the strongest Tamer I know."

"But that's why we're can also work together so well. Because we understand each other so well. Because we're the ones pushing each other further and further."

"I guess that's why we trust each other so much. But don't worry guys, as much as I'd like to take Sayo on right now..." He looked up at Huanglongmon. "That giant annoying thing is in our way. And our friend Darcmon is trapped inside."

"What are you two going to do?" Yuugo asked

Sayo smiled. "Defeat this monster and free Darcmon. Obviously."

"After what we just saw you two still think you can pull that off?" Fei asked.

"Definitely! We'll stake out honor as Tamers of Union City on it!"

"And together we'll see all of this through!" Koh noticed an orange glow around his neck. "Eh?"

Sayo looked at her Digivice as it glowed purple. "This is..."

"Sayo and Koh's Digivices are resonating..." Infinity murmured.

"Strength in unity." The team turned to Alphamon Oryuken. "Humans and Digimon draw power from each other. Dispute their differences. In a similar sense Koh and Sayo are drawing out power from each other."

Koh smiled to Sayo and held his Digivice in one hand and held one of Sayo's in the other. "You ready Sayo?"

Sayo grinned at him holding her Digivice in her free hand. "Of course. Just try to keep up."

Sayo and Koh shot their heads upward and roared as they burst with aura. Orange for Koh, purple for Sayo. "Whoa!" Takuto gasped.

Nokia turned towards them. "What's the deal with them?!"

High above Leopardmon watched with BoltBoutamon. "Boltboutamon, what is this?"

"Your guess is as good as mine. Didn't do that when I fought them in their world."

Sayo lowered her head and held up her Digivice. "Takumi…Ami…I promised I would repay you two for all you did for me and Dianamon."

"Same here." Koh said holding up his. "And we want to save this world and all of it's Digimon. So, on my honor as Light Fang…"

"And my pride as Night Crow…"

The two Tamers stood side by side. "We'll NEVER give up!" Apollomon and Dianamon stood up. Apollomon glowed red and Dianamon glowed blue. Sayo and Koh's Digivices each showed the same image. A square showing Sayo and a square showing Dianamon with electricity between them. A square with Koh and one with Apollomon also connected by electricity. Then both electrical trails bent towards each other from the middle connecting them into a X shape. The screens showed "Double Xross Evolution".

Sayo held her Digivice to the side. "Dianamon!"

Koh mirrored her pose at her left. "Apollomon!"

The two pressed their backs into each other. "Double Xross Evolution!" They slammed the tops of their Digivices against each other and they emitted white light from the screens.

Takuto looked at them in surprise. "Double Xross…"

"Evolution?" Shiki murmured.

Dianamon and Apollomon flew straight up then started spiralling around each other before colliding into a flash of white. A large white egg formed. Inside a giant blue orb with light blue sparkles formed. Then around it a body started to form starting with a torso and legs with white, purple, red and gold armor. Then two blue arms with red forearms and hands holding glowing blue orbs. Then shoulder pads with golden blades, gorgeous flowing golden hair, and a white cape that on the inside looked like a galaxy with many shining stars. Then the white armoured head with gold parts. Glowing blue eyes flashed open. The new Digimon summoned eight glowing blue blades to their side and the egg shattered. "GraceNovamon!"

The amazing new Digimon awed everyone with their glow. "Sayo and Koh's Digimon…" Takumi whispered.

"…combined." Ami concluded.

"Together…we'll repay Union City's debt to all of you." Koh said.

"And save Darcmon AND this Digital World!" Sayo practically screamed.

Huanglongmon snarled and turned. "EMPEROR'S MACE!" As it slammed its tail into GraceNovamon, they were pounded to the ground. But it noticed its tail didn't touch the ground. That's when it noticed GraceNovamon struggling to hold it up.

After a grueling struggle they managed to push Huanglongmon's tail up and fly out of the way before it smashed into the ground. GraceNovamon flew to the side and aimed their glowing hands towards its target. "Holy Cannon!" After shooting a golden explosion, they flew at the dragon. "Demon Slash!" It scratched it's claws against its golden scales.

Huanglongmon didn't react and opened its maw. "FANG OF THE EMPEROR!" It tried to chomp but his target moved.

GraceNovamon flew in front of Huanglongmon and crossed their arms growled then held their hands up. "Starlight EX!" Light collided into Huanglongmon and a holy explosion like a glowing star erupted.

"Amazing…" Himari gaped.

"That Digimon is incredible!" Luche cheered.

Huanglong roared at GraceNovamon who backed up. "But it still can't hurt it!" Hudiemon growled still on her knees and holding her arm.

"And even if they do somehow, they'll hurt Darcmon!" Yuugo protested.

"Come ON you guys, get a grip!" Koh shouted.

"We can save Darcmon!" Sayo said. "But we can't let this thing destroy the Resistance!"

"You guys all worked with Darcmon to protect this world from the Next Order, didn't you?!"

Everyone looked up as they flashed back to memories of working with Darcmon in the Resistance. They then slowly clenched their fingers into fists and closed their eyes. Huanglongmon tried to chomp at GraceNovamon again, but Rapidmon Armor X with Takumi ridding him moved the new Digimon out of the way leaving the Armed Arms behind to orbit their target. As the jaws clamped on nothing, Omni, Rosemon X, and Faye were hovering over it.

"Billion Bullet!"

"Supreme Cannon!"

"Rosen Blood!"

"Gran Del Sol!" The four of them attacked together.

"Catastrophe Cannon!"

"Destroyed Hook!"

"Uka no Mitama!" Diaboromon X Sakuyamon X and Infinity fired at Huanglongmon.

"REGRESSION SHINNING LASER!" Huanglongmon attacked back but they evaded.

"Fearsome Blade!"

"Final Crest!"

"Apocalypse!"

"Transcendent Cannon!" Noir, Omegamon Merciful Mode, Rikka and Yukimura were next.

"CONDEMNING HELL CRUSHER!" Huanglongmon shot dark blades, but the Digimon evaded before HerculesKabuterimon X, Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode, Craniamon X and Alphamon Oryuken all divebombed towards it.

"Horn Buster Revision!"

"Splendid Blade of Tranquility!"

"Heoendings Waltz!"

"Ultimate Oryuken!" A loud shing was heard as they blew past, but it still did no damage.

"Damn it!" Arata and Diaboromon X yelled. "Will nothing hurt this beast?!"

"Everyone." GraceNovamon floated nearby with Sayo on their right shoulder and Koh on their left. "Give me whatever energy you can."

"With all our power combined…" Sayo declared.

"We'll stop this thing!" Koh replied.

Everyone nodded and the Digimon assembled around GraceNovamon. Their bodies glowed and white dust travelled from all of them into the cape GraceNovamon wore making the galaxy inside glow brighter. Huanglongmon summoned the yin/yang symbol in front of it and opened its mouth as it's DigiCores glowed yellow. "TAIJI!"

"Oh, crap!" Kouta and Yukimura shouted.

Sayo and Koh closed their eyes. They held their hands forward along with GraceNovamon who caught the incoming wave of light and darkness. Everyone else was nearly blown away from the force of the collision. When it died down, GraceNovamon and their Tamers were panting heavily. "Sayo! Koh!" Takumi and Ami shouted with their Digimon.

"We're fine…" GraceNovamon, Sayo, and Koh said thought their newly established Matrix Link. "If the exterior is solid…" They lifted their heads up. "We'll take it out from the inside!"

"TAIJI!" Huanglongmon opened its mouth and fired another attack.

Sayo held her right hand forward, Koh held his left hand forward and they screamed along with GraceNovamon who held their hands forward and they rocketed through the next wave like a shooting star. "What are they…?!" Mameo and Infinity asked in concern.

GraceNovamon soared straight into Huanglong's mouth. "Did they just…!?" Nokia and Omegamon Merciful Mode panicked.

Sayo and Koh held onto GraceNovamon as they flew through a black fog inside the Yellow Dragon. Inside they could see Darcmon with her limbs held spread eagle. Ebonwumon's DigiCore emitted black energy that formed a band around her right wrist, Azulongmon's formed a blue bind around her left wrist, Zhuqiaomon's formed a red band around her right ankle and Baihumon's made a white bind around her left ankle. Her eyes were closed as if she were in deep slumber. GraceNovamon flew towards her. "Calydon Arcus!" The eight Meleagros blades flew off and slashed the cores repeatedly and as they cracked the bindings disappeared and Darcmon fell.

Huanglongmon's eyes widened, and it roared in pain. "…Did they…?" Alphamon Oryuken and Kyoko murmured.

Back inside the beast, Sayo and Koh stood on GraceNovamon's left shoulder. They each used one arm to hold Darcmon and held their other out as GraceNovamon held their hands out and their palms glowed. "Eclipse Finger!" Their hands fired white light in every direction. Soon the black fog disappeared as the space inside Huanglongmon became pure white light.

Huanglongmon screeched as cracks formed one by one all over its body with white light shinning through. Yellow light formed around it before it detonated with a giant glorious explosion. When the blinding light died down Huanglongmon was gone. And all the team saw was the back of GraceNovamon. "Did they...did they actually..." Takuto gapped.

"Destroy that thing...?" Fei shook.

"But..." Ami trembled. "What about Darcmon...? Is she...?"

GraceNovamon turned around. Rapidmon Armor X squinted then gasped. "Look!"

Sayo and Koh stood on their combined Digimon. Each of them had one of somebody's arms over their shoulders who was sitting down in between them. Once they could get a good view as GraceNovamon approached, the teens all gasped one by one. "Darcmon!"

Once GraceNovamon was in front of the crowd, they let Koh and Sayo get onto their hand so they could lower the two of them to the ground. They jumped down carrying Darcmon over their shoulders. The humans ran over. "Darcmon! Are you okay?!" Nokia asked.

Ami held Darcmon's hand. "Please wake up!"

The Digimon groaned and opened her eyes. She saw six humans she knew well. All of which looked ready to cry. "Everyone...what just...? How am I...?"

"Darcmon!" Takumi, Ami, Nokia, Arata, Yuuko, and Yuugo all pulled Darcmon into an embrace.

"Takumi...Ami...Nokia...Arata...Yuuko...Yuugo...I'm so sorry...I..."

"Darcmon..." Yuuko sniffled. "Don't go away..."

The holy Digimon smiled. "It's okay...I'm right here..." She brought herself to her feet. She stumbled to her knees making the others hold their arms towards her as if offering to help her up, but she got back up on her own weakly balancing herself with her staff.

Sayo and Koh smiled at them then gave each other a fist bump. Then out of the blue Ami and Takumi squeezed them. "Sayo...Koh...thank you." Ami breathed.

"You really did save her..." Takumi said with a shaky breath.

Koh and Sayo awkwardly stared at them. "Uh...you're welcome." Koh replied.

"We said we would." Sayo added before kicking her flailing legs that dangled off the ground in Ami's grip. "Now put me down already, you know I hate being treated like a kid!"

"Oh! Sorry..." Ami stuttered before she and Takumi put Sayo and Koh down while the others laughed. "It's just...really, this means so much..."

"I know." Sayo smiled. "You two are good Tamers. And all good Tamer cares for Digimon..."

"Darcmon, are you sure you're okay?!" Yuugo asked.

"I'm fine...but..." Darcmon starred at her chest as she put a hand over it. "I cannot feel the power of Zhuqiaomon anymore..."

Mameo turned to Sayo and Koh. "What happened to the Sovereign DigiCores?"

"I guess we destroyed them...?" Koh shrugged.

"You guess?" Fei asked. "It sounds like you were actin' without thinkin'... which would explain the dive ya took into the belly of the beast."

"Seriously, what were you two thinking?!" Takuto asked. "I know we've all done some crazy stuff throughout this little adventure, but come on!"

"It was the only way we could think of to save Darcmon." GraceNovamon replied. "It couldn't be helped."

"I still can't believe you two combined your Digimon like that!" Shoma said. "I've never seen two different Tamers join forces that way."

Koh chuckled looking up at GraceNovamon. "They are pretty cool, aren't they?" He looked at Sayo. "I wish Chief Glare, Pulsa and the others could see this!"

Sayo nodded. "Yeah. I want to show this to Chief Julia, Dorothy and the rest of Night Crow this too."

Darcmon sighed. "I'm so sorry everyone...I have caused you all constant trouble because of that DigiCore...and just now...I nearly..."

"There is no need to be so hard on yourself." Kyoko replied. "You suffered the most over that choice you felt would protect those you care about."

UlforceVeedramon reached the mountain top. "There you guys are!"

The group turned around and saw the other Resistance members hurry over. "You all made it!" Nokia gleamed.

"Looks like not everyone is here..." Arata said.

"A number of us were heavily injured during the fight earlier." Silphymon said. "Had to retreat back to the city."

"As long as they're alive." Yuuko replied.

Keisuke gasped. "Beelzemon?! Is that you?!"

The Deadly Digimon waved. "Yo."

"You're...alive..." Nokia breathed. "But...how?"

"Using his old firearms and an X-Antibody we were able to bring this guy back to life." BeelStarmon replied.

"And you're here to help us?" Yuugo asked. "Thank you so much!"

"Hmph. Don't get the wrong idea." Beelzemon replied. "I just owe the Resistance a favor."

Gundramon chuckled. "That's his way of saying "you're welcome"."

"Darcmon!" Lilamon, Dinohumon and Grizzlymon all hurried over.

"Everyone…"

"Are you hurt?!" Lilamon asked holding her friend's shoulders. "Need me to heal you?"

"I'm fine, just winded...I'm sorry for worrying you..."

"Leopardmon used the Sovereign DigiCores to turn her into Huanglongmon." Ami explained. "Sayo and Koh saved her."

"You two overpowered the legendary Huanglongmon?!" Magnamon asked. "That is incredible!"

"It was a team effort." Koh replied

"With the cores gone Leopardmon's Project Nexus should be on permanent hold now." Yuugo said.

"Wait, what about the Digital Waves?" Mercurymon asked.

"The what?" Takuto asked. "Oh, that's right! Mirei mentioned-

The group heard clapping and looked up to see Leopardmon slowly descend towards the ground. "Most impressive. To think you would defeat even Huanglongmon..."

"You!" Gallantmon pointed his spear at him. "Your crimes end here!"

"Your abomination has been put down!" Fei glared. "Now it's your turn."

"You should know by now that resistance is futile." Alphamon Oryuken said. "The Deadly Digimon, Examon, Craniamon, Crusadermon, Dynasmon, Huanglongmon. All of your most powerful allies have fallen. All that's left is to defeat you."

"You have indeed destroyed many powerful beings." Leopardmon said. "Some even more powerful than myself. And in doing so have proven my truth. The truth that humans are a danger to us and the entire world!"

"You may see them as a danger." Noir said. "We see them as potential. Potential for us Digimon to grow!"

"It's over Leopardmon!" Takumi shouted. "Just surrender now! Nobody else needs to die today!"

Leopardmon laughed. "You think it is over? That lives will no longer be lost? How laughable. How simply and utterly laughable!"

Everyone felt rumbling under their feet. One by one swarms of vines rose up and tied up all seventeen humans and Luche. "Hey!" the little girl shouted.

Kyoko grunted as she tried to twist free. "This is...!"

A Stealth Hide deactivated and the camouflaged Digimon appeared. "Argomon!" Omegamon shouted.

The vines tying the humans zapped them and they yelled. Their Digimon reverted to previous forms. "Our power..." Samudramon growled.

"Ugh..." Ophanimon got onto her feet. "Argomon is stealing our energy from our partners...!"

UlforceVeedramon flew at Argomon bit he crashed into a blue dome that formed around the entire Resistance. "What the?!"

Another Stealth Hide deactivated reveling another massive Digimon. "Arcadiamom too?!" Hudiemon gapped.

"Guys...!" Ami dropped to her knees. "Get...there vines off us...!"

Magnamon hurried towards Himari, the closest human to him, but Arcadiamon created more small blue barriers around each of the humans one by one. "Crafty bastard..." Fei groaned before she flopped over. One by one the other humans were sapped of their power and dropped to the ground.

Beelzemon took a handgun hoisted on his leg. "Double Impact!" He fired at Arcadiamon shooting its barrier. It started to crack until Argomon sent vines around it and started transferring the power it stole from Takumi and Co over to it. Arcadiamon's eye glowed as its shield glowed a brighter blue. The cracks faded and the rest of Beelzemon shots did nothing. "Are you serious?!"

"Damn...you..." Rosemon panted before falling to her knees. The rest of the Digimon partnered with humans felt weaker and weaker.

Leopardmon laughed. "After that battle with Huanglongmon you are in no condition to escape that! All you can do is watch as Project Nexus unfolds!"

Shiki gasped. "But...Huanglongmon is gone...we stopped it...!"

"Losing Huanglongmon means carrying out this plan will be a much harder task. But it was not vital for it." Leopardmon turned around as BoltBoutamon descended. "Are we ready?"

"Yes, sire."

"Then do it."

BoltBoutamon turned around pulled up a screen and pressed something. The entire mountain started to shake and soon a giant tree pierced out through the top. "What...is that...?!" Koh groaned.

"This tree!" Gankoomon gasped. "But how?!"

"What's...going on...?" Takumi groaned.

"That tree is one of the forms King Drasil can take..." Alphamon replied.

"King...Draisl...?!" Takumi gasped. "But he's...!"

"The vital part of Project Nexus requires Digital Waves." Leopardmon replied. "But we need a sturdy vessel to control them. And thus, we used King Drasil's remains to create this tree."

"I call it, the Nexus Tree!" BoltBoutamon replied. "What do you think?"

BeelStarmon ran up and banged her hands on the barrier. "Stop this Leopardmon! You would drag this war you started in our world to others?!"

"So, you know what comes next." Leopardmon cackled. "Behold! Our salvation has come! Open the Door of Judgment!"

The giant tree started to glow with purple light. Then it unleashed a giant flash of light into the sky. "What the heck is that?!" Sistermon Blanc Awake shouted.

The light tore through the sky for a moment. Then the clouds it struck through turned black and swirled creating a giant hole in the sky. "What is happening?!" Keisuke shouted.

Arata gasped looking at the familiar sight in the sky. "This is...!"

"It can't be...Takumi shuddered. "A dimensional...gate...?"

"A gate...?" Kouta asked.

"Where does it lead to?!" Jesmon asked.

BoltBoutamon grinned to Leopardmon. "Your majesty. Our ticket to the human world."

"Well done BoltBoutamon."

"Our world...?" Nokia trembled.

"You psychotic bastard." Beelzemon glared. "You really are gonna do it."

"Next Order!" Leopardmon called. "Assemble!" All of the remaining Digimon gathered around him. "I have gathered you here, my strongest forces for this day of reckoning! Years ago, the humans have brought devastation to the Digital World in the form of the Eaters! Thought the creatures may be gone the drama of their actions haunts us all to this day! And so long as humans exist, the Eaters can return! Even now the humans bring destruction upon us! Are we to let such crimes stand?! To live in fear if these fiends?! This cannot stand! We shall tear out the roots of evil..." He drew his sword and pointed it to the sky. "We shall take the fight to the enemy and destroy them all! We will extinguish the human world and ensure the safety of all Digimon!"

Leopardmon's words shook friend and foe alike. "What is...what is he saying?!" Yuuko gapped.

"Exactly what it sounds like." Arbormon growled. "He will destroy the entire human world. That is Project Nexus."

"That there tree is injecting your world fulla Digital Waves." MagnaKidmon said. "That means Digimon can enter it willingly."

"He was going to have Huanglongmon enter that gate and with its power wipe out your world in the blink of an eye." Gundramon said. "But he was prepared to use all of the Next Order should that plan fail..."

"No..." Ami shuddered. "Mom...Ryota...Sakura..."

Even the Next Order Digimon were in shock. "Destroy...the human world...?" a Baalmon asked.

"Does he really mean that?" a ArkhaiAngemon murmured.

"I see there is hesitation among our ranks." Leopardmon folded his arms. "Do you not wish to seek justice?"

"Oh, don't worry, the hole is totally safe!" BoltBoutamon said. "And those humans won't be dangerous. They're all insects compared to us. Now go on and start stomping!"

"It's just..." a Snimon murmured. "The problem is those humans over there, right? So, what good will destroying all the others do?"

"Simple." Leopardmon replied before looking at the humans in his trap. "What makes those humans dangerous is the power they give to those traitors. That power comes from their determination and fighting spirit. If we destroy their world, their friends, families, and homes, then their spirits will shatter. They and their Digimon will become powerless, and we will easily destroy them and the rest of the Resistance."

"You swine...!" Arata glared.

"I see." A Knightmon replied. "And in the process, we will eliminate any future potential threats from humankind."

"But isn't this a little drastic?!" A MagnaAngemon asked. "Yes, the humans have caused problems, but...surely that doesn't justify eliminating all of them!"

"What are you saying?" a Ghilliedhumon asked. "They attacked us first, we need to hit them back hard."

A Mojyamon stepped in front of the army to look at them. "You're joking, right?! Just because of what a few of them did we're going to execute the entire human race?! This war was for the sake of our world and now we're going to force it onto another?! We should be better then this! AH!" A white beam pierced through him, and he dropped to the ground before disappearing.

Leopardmon held his sword out with a cold glare. "Anyone else?"

"How could you...?!" Sayo shouted.

Leopardmon pointed his blade up at the portal. "I will not let evil exist in this world or any other! Justice must be dolled out. And as your king my word is justice! All who oppose my law are heretics! No go and kill the scum or be punished along with it!"

"Yes your majesty!" all the troops replied either out of compliance or fear.

"NO!" Ami screamed as they Digimon started flying towards the portal.

"STOP IT!" Yuuko shouted as all the Resistance Digimon partnered with humans banged on the barriers keeping them trapped while the rest hacked at the barrier keeping all of the Resistance trapped.

Keisuke was devastated as he watched all the Digimon go through the gate to attack his home. "Please no...!"

Back in the human world, many people were pointing and commenting on the sky where clouds swirled like a vortex with a giant hole in the center. "What the heck is that?" Ryota asked carrying his school bag.

Sakura walked up next to him. "Some kind of storm?"

A man in a business suit saw something drop down. "Wait, what's that?"

As it got closer people could see the Orcamon. Then a Sagomon. And then many, many more Digimon. "What are those things?!" A woman shouted.

People started running away screaming as they started to approach the ground. "Monsters!"

"Aliens!"

"Run!"

Digimon smashed into the ground. One student dragged away another who was recording on his phone. "Guys, this is huge!" A girl with glasses said. "We gotta check this out!"

"Are you out of your mind Mai?!" A girl with long blond hair shouted as a boy with black hair and a girl in a maid costume helped drag her away. "Let's get out of here!"

"But this could be my only chance to talk to real aliaaaaaans!"

"What the hell?! Run for it!" Ryota grabbed Sakura's hand and started to drag her away.

They didn't get far before Sakura tripped. Her hand slipped out of Ryota's as she tumbled awkwardly. She gasped as her foot landed on the ground awkwardly before she fell to the ground. "Sakura! Are you okay?!"

"I'm okay..." The girl got to her knees. "It's just...I twisted my ankle...I don't think I can run..."

"What?! Then you are certainly NOT okay!" He gasped as heavy footsteps boomed towards them and a tall Knightmon aproached. "Oh God..."

"You shall be the first." The Knightmon lifted his giant sword. "Prepare to face punishment for your sins humans!" Sakura screamed in fear.

Ryota put on a brave face as he ran in front of her with his arms held out. "Like hell! I won't let you hurt Sakura!"

The girl gapped. "Ryota?!"

"Foolish!" the Knightmon bellowed clenching his blade. "You die in vain with the girl!"

"Gah!" Ryota closed his eyes.

"RYOTA!" Sakura screamed. Then there was silence. "...Huh...? What's...happening?"

Ryota opened an eye and was startled to see the giant sword in front of his face. Thehe realized the Knightmon was frozen in place. "...What the...?"

The Knightmon grunted struggling to move. "...What...is this...?! My body...!" Sakura and Ryota looked around. All the Digimon who looked ready to attack those around them were paused. Then a Gravimon started ascending. Then the Knightmon in front of Ryota was pulled into the sky. All the humans looked around in confusion as the Digimon were plucked into to the air and all were sucked into the hole in the sky.

Yu was in his school uniform with an awkward stare. "...The hell was that?"

"Stop!" Nokia screamed. "STOP!"

Leopardmon laughed. "Yes, cry out in sorrow! Wallow in despair and helplessness! Soon your world will be gone for good! You may have thwarted my previous plan to destroy it, but now you are helpless! And once you lose all hope, I can easily dispose of you! The Next Order has won!"

"Please…" Takumi shouted through tears. "Don't…mom…everyone…"

Takuto took one look at his terrified friend and glared at Leopardmon. "You're a monster…!"

"What are you so angry about?" BoltBoutamon shrugged. "I mean it's not your human world that's about to be erased. Though if his majesty wants, I'm sure we can arrange something after this."

"Now that you mention it…" Leopardmon mused. "It would be trouble if more humans from your world were to intervene in the future. We cannot take any chances. We must eliminate all humans in every reality!"

"Don't you dare!" Shiki screamed.

"Leapardmon…!" Kyoko struggled to push herself up but lacked the strength.

Ami sobbed on the ground. "No…! Why…?!"

Leopardmon cackled. "Heh, heh, heh, heh…yes…this is how it should be! Human extermination is the Next Order's duty! That is how I will save this world! Humans far and wide all disappear into nothingness! Heh, heh, heh…bwa, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!" Suddenly a Indramon flew past him and crashed into the ground. "Huh?"

Everyone looked at it. "Huh?" Luche flinched.

The Digimon sat up groaning. "Ow…"

Lepardmon slammed to the ground in front of it. "Why have you returned?! Do you mean to defy my orders?!"

"Something just pulled me back into the gate, I swear!"

"What? Explain!"

BoltBoutamon looked up. "Um…your majesty?"

"What is it?" Leopardmon turned to BoltBoutamon then looked up. More Digimon were falling out of the portal he made. "What?!"

One by one they all crashed into the ground. "What's going on…?" Shoma asked.

"They all were…sent back?" a dumbfound Yuuko muttered.

Leopardmon looked around as his entire attack force came out of the sky. "What is the meaning of this?!"

BoltBoutamon looked at a monitor. "Hold on…what is this?"

"BoltBoutamon, what's happening?!"

"The Nexus Tree…its functions have been altered…it's no longer sending Digital Waves into the human world! Not it's sucking them in like a vacuum!"

"I-impossible! How!?"

"Then…our world is…saved…?" Fei asked.

"BoltBoutamon, I order you to do something about this!" Leopardmon shouted.

"Like what?!" BoltBoutamon asked. "The tree has already taken back the waves we sent out! Even if I try to send them back, it'll just pull them right back in! The program was locked as per your orders so it couldn't be stopped!"

Leopardmon growled then flew straight up towards the portal in the sky. "He's going in himself?!" Jesmon asked.

Leopardmon felt an invisible force push him back as he got close to the portal. He strained all his might trying to get closer, but then he was flung into the ground. He looked up to see the dimensional hole he made slowly close. "No…No…!"

"Well…" Alphamon muttered. "That's convenient."

Leopardmon stood up as the hole disappeared. After a brief silence he shouted in rage. "AAAAAAAGGGHHH! After all that planning and effort…victory was in my grasp! And the humans still escaped judgment?! Who dares to interfere with my genius design?! How can my justice fail?!"

Music could be heard in the wind. Everyone looked around. "What is that?" Leomon asked.

"Is that…a flute?" Himari asked.

"This tune…" Takumi breathed.

Yuuko's eyes were wide. "This is…!" She looked up and gasped. "Up there!"

All humans and Digimon turned their heads to the sky. Something was in the air above them flying in circles. Something red. Something gold was holding onto the red one. And on the gold one's shoulder was the man playing the flute. They remained in the air for a bit. Then just as the musician stopped his music the gold Digimon he was on let go and dropped to the ground in front of Leopardmon. The red one landed beside him. The man slowly took the flute out of his mouth and pulled down his hood before opening his eyes. "Your grand scheme ends in failure, Leopardmon." He jumped off his Digimon.

Nokia gapped. "No way…!"

Beelzemon smirked. "…I knew the kid would pull through."

Leopardmon was in shock. Once he mostly got over that he glared and pointed his weapon at the man. "Is this your doing Brother Sorrow?!"

The human put a hand on his hip. "I have struck down that unforgivable past self and shaken off it's heavy husk that had rusted upon me. My name…" the man spoke with clear eyes. "…is Kiryu Tenjo."

Something you may not have noticed about my OC. I named him after two different Yu-Gi-Oh characters that inspired a bit of him. One is Kalin Kessler, or as he's known in Japan: Kyosuke Kiryu, and the other is Kite Tenjo, or as he's known in Japan: Kaito Tenjo. Kiryu reflects from Kalin a former gang member who swore vengeance on one of his trusted comrades who he felt betrayed him, and he reflects from Kite his strong desire to protect a young brother even if it means selling his soul to the devil.

And just like Kalin and Kite, Kiryu has a redemption arc that comes full circle next chapter. Hope you all look forward to it!
