Takuto groaned trying to push himself off the ground in vain. "Bolt…boutamon…!" He groaned as he collapsed.

Boltboutamon was laughing like a maniac looking at the spoils of war. "What a happy ending to the war! Leopardmon's schemes are thwarted by the Resistance, and I come out with all the spoils!"

"What are you planning to do?!" Yuuko shouted.

"What indeed? I got Alphamon's DNA, a tree full of Digital Waves, the remnants of Bagramon, and two of the most powerful Digimon. What to do, what to do…?" A wicked grin started to form. "Wait…wait, wait, wait…yes…if I were to do that…" He held Alphamon's DNA over his head. Then he turned around and chucked it into the hole Leopardmon X left in the Nexus Tree. Gold light spread across it.

"What's he doing…?" Sayo weakly asked.

Boltboutamon laugh he threw the Brave Snatcher inside and the ground shook and branches came out of the hole grabbing Arcadiamon and Agromon compressing them into white light that pulled them in. "Did it just…absorb them?!" Keisuke gapped.

The whole tree turned white. "A new original recipe! Just take one tree of Digital Waves, add 1 Brave Snatcher, 1 Arcadiamon and 1 Agromon, a pinch of Alphamon and whisk vigorously!" BoltBoutamon put a hand on his chin. "Hmm…needs something. Something that will give it some kick." He snapped his finger. "Ah, but of course!" He held out his hand and a purple and orange light emitted from it. "Oh Sayo, Koh! You two remember this little thing, yes?"

Sayo gasped. "Is that the Chrono Data you took from us?!"

"And in it goes!" Boltboutamon thre the light into the tree and laughed. "With this…a new Digimon-No! A god will be born! And with its body, all worlds will lay at my feet!" He floated up towards the tree. "This will be…my new form! My time has come!"

"No…" Ami tried to push herself up but lacked the strength.

"Stop him…!" Alphamon ordered. "Don't let him merge with the tree…! The Resistance Digimon ran/flew towards Boltboutamon. But he knew they wouldn't reach him before he could come into contact with the tree as his hand slowly reached for the glowing bark.

"Skip Frame!" A loud shing filled the air as Boltboutamon was split in half. Omegamon Alter-S was behind him with his blade held inwards. "Fool." Kiryu glared from his Digimon's shoulder. "With the forbidden programs, time is always on my side."

The Resistance stopped. "Okay, that works!" Kumamamon grinned.

"Nice!" Kouta grinned. "Kiryu with the sneak attack!"

Mameo sighed. "That was close."

"Yeah…now it's really over…" Shiki said.

"It ends for you here director." Omegamon Alter-S said. "Like Leopardmon, your plans are stopped just as you started them."

Boltboutamon coughed. "You really are powerful…otherworldly Enforcer…especially with those programs backing you up…seems I was careless…" His body started to glow. "This is the end of poor Boltboutamon…but…" He grinned unexpectedly. "Aren't you forgetting something my friends from my homeworld? This is a body I created using your world's Pidemon and Myotismon. It is not my true essence."

Kiryu eyed him. "What are you-

Shoma gasped. "Oh no!"

Laughter was heard as red and black mist came out of Boltboutamon's body right before it exploded. "What?!" Omegamon Alter-S gasped as it flew into the tree. "No!"

Evil laughter could be heard as the tree started to turn black with a red hue and no leafs. The entire mountain started to shake again. "Aw hell nah, that ain't good." MagnaKidmon murmured.

"Very observant of you genius." Beelzemon growled before taking aim with his cannon. "Oblivion Cannon!" He fired a purple beam that zoomed with frightening velocity, but they did nothing to even scratch the tree. "Shit!"

Kiryu gritted his teeth activating Matrix Link as Omegamon Alter-S backed away. "Transcendent Cannon!" They fired a red blast right at the tree. The energy attack wrapped around it, unable to penetrate the bark. They drew their sword next. "Supreme Sword!" The Enforcer flew straight at it swinging, but they bounced off. "What?!"

More laughter could be heard. "WHAT AN INCREDIBLE FEELING THIS IS!"

"Boltboutamon!" Takuto gasped. "No…the Malevolent Fist!"

"THIS TREE IS OVERFLOWING WITH POWER! POWER THAT TRANCENDS REALITY! I'VE BECOME STRONGER THAN ANY FORM OF KING DRASIL! I AM NOW THE GOD OF ALL WORLDS!"

"What the hell are you talking about?!" Arata asked.

"LET ME SHOW YOU…BEHOLD MY NEW UNLIMITED POWER!" The three shot a white light straight into the sky that made a hole. Said hole soon expanded and shot a powerful burst of light blinding everyone below.

"What is this madness?!" Gallantmon shouted.

"That maniac…!" Craniamon grunted. "He unleashed a storm of Digital Waves on a scale never before created…with King Drasil's special permissions in this world!"

When the light died down everyone looked up. "Is it over?" Sistermon Blanc asked.

"Wait…" a Leomon pointed up. "What the hell is that thing?"

Everyone looked up in the sky to see something high in the sky. It was a giant white orb. "What the heck IS that?" Kouta squinted. "Some kind of planet, or moon?"

Yuugo gapped. "Wait…that almost looks like…no…"

"Are you serious?" Hudiemon murmured.

"What?" Mameo looked at them. "What is it?"

Back at his desk Satoru Kamishiro let out a heavy sigh. "Kyoko's still unconscious it seems. And there's still no trace of her EDEN account. But we know for a fact that she didn't log out…given how similar it is to how Yuuko and Yuugo's account data vanished when they departed with their friends, it seems likely Kyoko went to where they went. This "Digital World". Well…if that is the case then on the bright side, at least there will be an adult to look after them. Still…it's been a while now…I pray they return soon." He heard a knock at the door. "Come in."

Rie Kishibi ran into the door. "Sir, we have a problem."

"What is it Rie?"

The woman took out her Digivice. "Well…it'll be easier if I showed you."

Something appeared on the computer screen in front of Satoru and what he saw made him shoot up from his seat. "This is…!"

Takumi couldn't believe his eyes. "…Is that…EDEN…?"

"It can't be…" Keisuke gapped.

"EDEN…?" Darcmon asked. "The Cyber Space in your world…? That EDEN?"

"Are you sure that's it?!" Himari asked.

"There's not mistaking it…" Keisuke gulped.

"I can also confirm without a doubt." Kentaurosmon added. "I've been there before…I felt the presence of that space."

"Me too…" Antylamon added.

Yuuko shivering. "But how?! How is this possible?!"

The Malevolent Fist laughed. "What have you done?!" Fei asked.

"AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE TO, I CANNOT TAKE ALL THE CREDIT FOR THIS. YOU SEE RECENTLY EDEN LINKED WITH THE DIGITAL WORLD."

"What?!" Ami asked. "After reality changed? When?! It wasn't just from when Kuzuhamon and the others came to EDEN to find us, was it?"

"Wait…" Zero said. "Back then…when we were exposing Crusadermon's crimes to Kiryu…we had to link the towers to EDEN…!"

"INDEED. THAT ONE TIME LEFT A LINGERING CRACK IN THE DIMENSIONAL WALL DIVIDING EDEN AND THE DIGITAL WORLD…AND WITH KING DRASIL'S POWER I HAVE SHATTERED THAT WALL! THEN USING DIGITAL WAVES I HAVE PULLED EDEN AND THE DIGITAL WORLD TOGETHER! EDEN AND THE DIGITAL WORLD…HAVE BECOME ONE EXISTENCE!"

"EDEN…" Rapidmon Armor murmured. "And the Digital World…?"

"AND NOW…I SHALL DOWNLOAD THE ENTIRETY OF THIS NEW WORLD INTO MY SYSTEMS AND BE IT'S NEW KING DRASIL! THEN I SHALL HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO USE THE DIGITAL WAVES FOR A DIGITAL SHIFT SO LARGE IT WILL MERGE THE HUMAN WORLD WITH THIS ONE!"

"He's going to…merge our worlds together…?" Nokia asked. "Is he insane?!"

"How do you think you're going to do that?!" Himari asked. "The Digital World is…Digital! You can't just apply it to reality!"

"It already has been…" Yuugo replied. "Remember what we told you about Digital Waves? How they allowed Digimon to exist in our world?"

"AND ONCE THE HUMAN WORLD IS DIGITIZED, I WILL PULL IT INTO THIS EDEN DIGITAL WORLD! ONE WORLD THAT I WILL RULE OVER! AND THAT'S JUST THE START! ONE BY ONE I'LL ADD MORE PARALLEL WORLDS TO THIS ONE! EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE WILL BE UNITED UNDER ONE EXISTENCE!"

"You…!" Takumi growled trying to stand just to fall over. "Agh!"

"Takumi!" Jesmon shouted. "Stop straining yourself!"

"But…we have to stop him…!"

"IT'S TOO LATE! I HAVE ALREADY BEGUN DOWNLOADING EDEN! ONCE THAT IS DONE IT WILL BE THE KEY TO CONNECT TO YOUR HUMAN WORLD! I SHALL BECOME A GOD!"

"Damn it!" Kiryu growled. He pulled out his Digivice. "He's overridden the program I used to reverse the Digital Waves! I can't stop him!"

"No…" Nokia murmured with a shaky breath. "No, there's gotta be something we can do!"

Luche stood up and thought about what Kyoko said prior to their arrival to the Mountain of Infinity.

"Luche's unique existence and coding has proven able to skirt the boundaries of what is considered possible. Leopardmon is making his big move here. She might be able to disrupt his plan if all else fails."

The little girl hugged her Numemon plush as she looked at the ground. She walked over to Takuto and held it up to him. "Takuto…can you hold this for me?"

"Huh?" Takuto had an odd look but took the doll anyway. "Um, okay." Luche had a sad look in her eyes. "Luche, it's okay. We can stop him."

"I know you will…I trust all of you!" she smiled. "And I'm gonna make sure you can!" She started running.

"Huh? Luche!"

Everyone watched the girl run on ahead. "What's she doing?" Magnamon asked.

"Luche, don't…!" Shoma weakly tried to stand up.

Kiryu was still trying to do something through his Digivice when he noticed the girl run by. "What are you…?!"

Luche stopped when she was in front of the Nexus Tree. "Here goes…" She pressed her hands against it. "HAAAAAAA!" Her body glowed white as the tree made a strange noise.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO STOP ME GIRL? BAD IDEA! A BUG LIKE YOU CANNOT STOP A GOD!" Branches grew out of the tree wrapping around Luche's arms.

"Luche!" Shiki yelled. "Get out of there!"

"NO!" The girl pressed harder. "I can do this! I came with Takuto and the others to this world because I wanna help!"

"WELL, ISN'T THAT PRECIOUS? BUT I'M AFRAID ALL THOSE GOOD INTENTIONS WILL DO FOR YOU IS PAVE THE ROAD TO HELL!"

The branches started pulling as Luche's hands went inside the tree leaving red ripples. "LUCHE!" the humans shouted as Omegamon Alter-S flew towards the girl.

Luche whimpered a bit as more and more of her was pulled inside. "It's okay…Takuto and Shiki never gave up…I have to be brave…"

"Freeze Frame!" Kiryu snapped his fingers pausing Luche just when it was only one leg left sticking out. Omegamon Alter-S flew in to grab her only to grab at the girl just as she was absorbed completely into the tree. "Damn it!"

The others were shocked into silence. "No way…" Himari shivered.

"This…" Kouta muttered. "Isn't happening…"

"Not her…" Shoma said from his knees. "Not again…!"

Shiki squeezed her eyes shut as tears poured. "LUUUUUUUUUUUUCHE!" Takuto held the girl's doll with a face white as a sheet.

More laughter came from the tree. "A BUGGED DIGIMON SEEMS ODD FOR THE NEW GOD'S FIRST MEAL, BUT I GUESS EVEN GODS CAN'T BE PICKY. AWW, DON'T BE SO SAD EVERYONE. LITTLE LUCHE IS NOW SERVING A HIGHER PURPOSE. NOT THAT YOU WILL BE AROUND TO SEE IT." Red and black energy gathered from the front of the tree.

"Crap!" Takumi shut his eyes bracing himself. A red and black orb fired from it towards the Resistance.

"Skip Frame!" Omegamon Alter-S appeared in front of them, and his left shoulder produced and electrical shield. The attack exploded but only the new Enforcer was hit by the impact as he and his Tamer hit the ground.

Yuuko, Fei, the Ten Legendary Warriors, Beelzemon and the Three Musketeers gasped. "Kiryu!"

"Get it together damn it!" Kiryu growled leaning up on his back. "The battle isn't over yet!"

"He's right!" Baalmon said holding up his gun. "This freaking tree isn't dictating our lives!"

"Everyone!" Gallantmon held his lance forward. "Attack!" Digimon from both the Next Order and the Resistance all roared attacking the tree at once.

"FOOLS!" The tree unleashed a crimson wave that blew all its attackers away. A good number of Digimon were destroyed.

"Oh no…!" Keisuke murmured.

"ANY WHO DO NOT SUBMIT TO THEIR NEW GOD SHALL PERISH!" The tree glowed red. "AND ALL THAT REALITY HAS TO OFFER WILL BE MINE TO-MINE TO-MINE TO-MINE TO-MINE TO-

Everyone stared at the tree that stuttered like a broken record. "What the hell's with him?" Fei asked.

"I dunno." BeelStarmon asked. "…New god needs to finish processing…?"

"MINE TO-MINE TO-MINE TO-MI- The tree suddenly stopped glowing.

"Did it stop?" Gankoomon asked.

"Okay seriously, what the hell is happening?" Grizzlymon asked.

"Everyone…run away!"

A new voice spoke from the tree shocking everyone. A familiar voice. "…Luche?" Takuto whispered.

"I'm holding the bad guy back! But I can't stop him for very long! You guys need to go! Find a way to stop him then come back!"

"What?!"

"No!" Shiki shouted. "We're not leaving without you!"

"It's okay! I'll be fine! It's dark in here…and lonely…but if I think of you guys…I know everything will be alright! I know you'll rescue me! Just like you did when we first met!"

"Luche…" Memeo muttered.

Kiryu looked at the tree and gritted his teeth. "Dammit all…I'm sorry kid…" He turned around. "We need to go."

"What?!" Himari asked.

"There's nothing more we can do. Everyone is hurt and tired. We need to retreat. Recuperate and formulate a plan of attack. Then we can return and stop this."

"We're not abandoning Luche!" Himari shouted. "How can you-

"Kiryu's right!" Mameo shouted. "Luche is risking her life to buy all of us and our worlds time so that maybe there's a chance we can save them! Do you want to throw it all away and let Armageddon happen because you chose to let the girl's actions be in vain?!" Nobody knew what to say to that.

Gallantmon sighed. He then turned around to the others. "Everyone, withdraw! Back to Cache City!"

"Run for it!" a Ogremon shouted.

"Those who aren't wounded too badly to move, carry those who are!" Silphymon ordered.

One by one more Digimon were turning around and running. Kiryu picked up and injured Toucanmon before flying off on Omegamon Alter-S. Lilamon helped Darcmon up as they ran. Resistance Digimon started picking up the humans and their Digimon before fleeing. Takuto pushed himself up. "Luche!"

"Takuto, please go!" the tree shouted. "I'm doing this for you! Don't worry I'll be fine! Oh! And take care of my doll! Give it back when you rescue me!"

"Luche…" Takuto gritted his teeth as MagnaKidmon grabbed him. "We're coming back for you I swear!"

"Don't die Luche…" Shiki murmured as Kazemon lifted her up by the shoulders and carried her away. "You better still be here!" The giant tree grew further and further into the distance.

All Digimon from both the Resistance and the Next Order were gathered in Cache City as it flew away from the Mountain of Infinity posthaste. But very few had anything to say. Same goes for the humans. Takuto was looking at the Numemon doll in his hands as he and his friends stood silently. Kiryu was taking account of all present Digimon nearby. Nokia was trying to do whatever she could to help patch up the injured. Yuugo was looking at a menu through his Digivice. "It's true. We register as if we're in EDEN right now. EDEN and the Digital World really have become one."

"Unreal…" Arata muttered.

Sayo looked at the giant white globe in the sky. "So that's EDEN?"

"Yeah. I bet all the users currently logged in can see the Digital World from here." Fei replied. "Must all be freaking the hell out."

Mirei approached the group. "Everyone, we have a situation."

"Yeah, no kidding genius! Maybe if you were there instead of hiding away as per usual...!" Hudiemon glared. She took a moment to calm down. "…Sorry."

"It's fine. One should be stressed during a situation like this." Mirei showed everyone her laptop. "More importantly…The Malevolent Fist's actions while being held down by Luche are having their effects on this world."

Everyone looked at the screen. "Oh my god…" Ami murmured. Multiple parts of the ground in many areas had black and red roots running through them. Some trees were dying. Red and black holes were opening up in the walls and ground.

"This is a result of Boltboutamon trying to download the entirety of this world. Luche is holding him back for now…but if we don't do something soon it's only a matter of time before all of the Digital World ends up like this."

"Then he'll do the same thing to EDEN…" Takumi said. "Then he'll draw in the human world to do the same to it…"

"Mirei…" Shoma spoke. "What's going to happen to Luche?"

"I'm not sure…It will be a while before the Malevolent Fist can assimilate her unique code…but I don't know what will become of Luche once he does…"

"We'll save her." Takuto said finally looking up. He turned around to the group. "We are going to rescue her. No matter what it takes!"

"We just…need to figure out what to do." Shiki said.

"Well, before that, we should gather all the remaining Digimon in this world." Kyoko said. "I don't think anywhere will be safe once that tree starts up again."

"I very much doubt this city can hold every single Digimon in the world Kyoko." Alphamon replied.

"Then we need another spot to gather the rest."

"Maybe Cloud Sanctuary will be safe." Magnamon suggested. "But even that can only hold so many…"

"We need one more large safe area…" Mameo pondered.

Hudiemon then had a though. "Saaaaaay…" They all turned to her waiting for her to announce her idea. Instead, she turned to the sky. Everyone looked up to the white orb in the air.

"…You can't be serious." Fei said.

"You got a better idea?"

"You want to gather the remaining Digimon in EDEN?" Jesmon asked. "I guess it would be safer then anywhere in the Digital World right now…"

"But what if bad hackers start taking advantage of them?!" Nokia asked.

"Or maybe they'll attack the humans." BeelStarmon asked. "This really isn't what I'd call safe."

"But it could be our only option left!" Koh replied. "Think of all the Digimon down there! This must be terrifying them!"

Yuuko sighed. "…He's right. I can't say this idea makes me easy…especially after the Next Order attack…but I think it may be our only choice. I'll speak to father and see if he can get everyone to log out. That way there will be plenty of room for Digimon refugees."

"Thank you, Yuuko." Darcmon smiled. "I know EDEN means a lot to you…I promise we will uphold your trust."

"However, I must insist that we prioritize the Resistance, and civilians in EDEN and keep former members of the Next Order out for now."

Kiryu scoffed. "Why not just make a giant banner for the already unstable and uneasy Digimon that formerly wanted you dead that says, "we don't trust you, go to hell"?"

"Kiryu, use your head." Beelzemon said. "That's exactky why we sure as hell shouldn't give em the chance to mess EDEN up. Letting them in will just be feeding them temptation. Especially those who were part of that attack."

"Beelzemon's right." UlforceVeedramon nodded. "This generous offer Yuuko is providing already has plenty of risks on EDEN's part. I'd rather not stir the pot more then necessary. I'm sure the Next Order Digimon won't object to settling here and in Cloud Sanctuary."

"Since we're essentially in EDEN now I should be able to reach father." Yuugo said. "I'll call him now and ask to clear EDEN out for this."

"Thank you." Omegamon said. "We Digimon are most grateful."

"Yuugo." Kyoko spoke up. "Once you call him, tell him we are all going to return to the human world."

"Huh? Uh, okay…"

"What are you planning Kyoko?" Takumi asked.

"Darcmon and the others will have their hands full with the evacuation. So, while they do that, I'm thinking we should all regroup back home and discuss our next plan of action."

"I agree." Mameo said. "Luche is buying us time. We have to make the most of it."

"But this isn't even our human world." Himari pointed out. "Can we even enter it?"

"Mirei should be able to make it happen." Sayo replied. "She brought me to their world before."

"Correct." Mirei replied. "I can have all of you re-materialize in the same spot where Takumi and the others have logged into EDEN."

"The Roppongi Underground Centre." Keisuke said.

"Ami will be at the hospital." Takumi replied. "Kyoko too I imagine."

"Let's meet up back at the agency." Kyoko replied.

"Agency?" Kouta asked.

"The Kuremi Detective Agency." Ami replied. "It's where we work. It's in Nakano Broadway."

"Okay." Keisuke nodded. "Wait Fei, where'd you log into? Actually, you didn't log in at all, did you?"

"Why don't you ask this guy?" Fei asked looking at Kiryu. "After he and Hosaka knocked me out I found myself here."

"We had you Digital Dive with us in an abandoned building not far from my school."

"Can you two get to Nakano from there?" Ami asked.

Kiryu looked at them in surprise. "You want me to join you?"

"Well, duh!" Nokia replied. "We all need to work together to stop this craziness!"

"We already befriended plenty of former enemies." Takuto grinned. "Don't act all surprised."

"You're a skilled hacker and Tamer." Takumi said. "One with a Digimon that just overthrew Leopardmon. We could really use your help."

"Kiryu…" Yuuko approached. "I know I have long lost the right to ask anything of you…please lend me your power one last time. If we don't stop this all our worlds are done for."

Kiryu turned away to look over the edge of the city at the chaotic state the Digital World was decaying into. "…I helped Hosaka gather the Digital Waves fuelling that tree. The crisis we all face is a result of my arrogance and hubris. I must face judgment for my crimes by slaying the evil I created." He looked back at the others. "If all of you are truly willing to have me even after everything I have done, then I would wish to fight alongside you to put a stop to this madness. Even if it costs me my life."

"Of course." Ami smiled.

Noir turned to Omegamon Alter-S. "Can we count on you as well my fellow Enforcer?"

"Naturally. No matter what form I take, I will always support whatever decision Kiryu makes."

Kiryu smiled to his Digimon. "Thank you, my friend."

"Great!" Shiki gleamed. "Welcome aboard you two."

"Now that that's settled, we just need to wait on Mr. Kamishiro." Takumi said.

And with that Yuugo hung up and approached. "Father has already been getting all EDEN users to log out. He'll contact us once he's done and has agreed to let the Resistance seek sanctuary in EDEN."

"Great!" Nokia smiled.

"Hell of a guy that father of yours." Kyoko smiled.

"Indeed." Alphamon nodded. "I must remember to thank him personally when I get the chance."

"So, I guess we all just need to head back to the human world?" Keisuke asked.

"Ah, but before we do…" Kiryu walked over to Mirei. "I shall entrust you with this." He held up his hand and a X-Antibody appeared.

"A X-Antibody?" Kouta gasped. "Where'd you get that?"

"Wait…is that Leapardmon's?" Takumi asked.

"Correct." Kiryu replied. "One of the former Next Order Digimon picked it up before we fled and gave it to me. I am content with the new power my Digimon and I have obtained. I thought you guys might know who might need it more for the upcoming battle."

"Thank you Kiryu." Mirei smiled taking the X-Antibody. "I think I know just who to give it to…I'll take care of it real quick then head over to the agency."

"As always, us Digimon will be going with our human partners." Omegamon said. "Gallantmon, I leave things here with you and the others."

"Of course. You can count on us my friend."

"I'll go with you guys as well." Hudiemon said. "I can transfer to Keisuke's Digivice."

"I hope there will be time to give mom a call." Ami said. "I know she's been worried sick."

"We can look into that once we log out." Kyoko said. "We better hurry. Luche won't be able to hold that tree back forever." The team nodded.

Back down in the Roppongi Underground Center, a few Kamishiro scientists were busily maintaining and monitoring the machine where Takumi, Nokia, Arata, Yuuko, Yuugo, and Keisuke's unconscious bodies were. A blue line flashed across one of the screens alerting one of the workers. "Oh?"

"Their mental data is finally being installed back to their bodies! They're returning!"

"Make sure the download goes through! Don't let anything get corrupted!" All of them were running around frantically working at computers.

After a few moments there was a beep and they all turned to the unconscious teens. Then one of them saw Takumi's arm twitch. "Ah!"

One of them ran over. "Are you awake?" He heard Takumi murmur and pressed something. The pieces over the teens' eyes lifted up. The scientist backed away as Takumi put his hands on his armrests and pushed himself upright. "Easy there…you've been gone for a while."

Takumi winced at the light of the room. His eyes needed a moment to adjust. "…We're back…"

"Agh…" Arata groaned. "Man, I feel stiff as hell…is this what it was like for you Ami and Yuugo?"

Nokia rubbed her eyes. "I feel like I've been sleeping for weeks…"

"In a way, you have." one of the scientists replied.

"Are all of you alright?"

Keisuke looked at his hand and he moved some fingers. "It feels good to be back in my body again…"

Yuuko dialed a number on her Digivice. "Father, we've all logged out…thanks. It's good to hear your voice too. What's the situation in EDEN? I see…so we can start moving everyone over? Okay. Thank you so much for agreeing to this. …You're right. It's the least we can do in hindsight. What now? My friends and I are going to meet up and discuss what to do with this situation. Don't worry, we'll be fine. But can you do me a favour? Ami Aiba and Kyoko Kuremi should be awake at the hospital. Can you make sure they get released and have a ride to the Kuremi Detective Agency? Thank you. I'll call you as soon as we've come up with our plan."

"So did you finish what you needed to do in this…Digital World?" a scientist asked.

Yuugo sighed. "…It's not over yet. I'm sure you guys know something is happening to EDEN."

"Yeah, a sudden data mass has swallowed it up. Users are saying things about a mysterious land appearing."

"It's going to get a lot worse if we don't do something…"

Takumi pushed himself up out of his seat. "There's not much time. We gotta go…" He started taking wobbly steps. The others got up and started to follow but none of them got very far before they all fell over.

"Don't push yourselves!" one of the scientists said. "All of you just got back to your bodies, you need time to recuperate! You there, call and ambulance!"

"We don't have time for that!" Takumi grunted trying to stand.

"But- The monitor near the machine started beeping. "Huh? What now? What is this? Looks like something is forcefully being downloaded!"

"What?! Is the machine being hacked?! Shut it down!"

"I'm trying!" Suddenly the machine glowed. "GAH!" Eight flashes of light appeared. One by one they all started to materialize taking human forms. "W-who the heck are you people?! Where did you come from?!"

Takumi didn't even notice the chaos behind him. He was on his elbows trying to muster the strength to stand back up. It wasn't until he saw a hand in front of him when he noticed the new arrival. "Man. I gotta say, going back and forth between worlds looks way more complicated here then the way we do it back home." Takumi looked to his right. Takuto was kneeling to him with a smile on his face. "Need a hand pal?"

Takumi smiled and took it. Takuto pulled Takumi up and put his arm over his shoulders. Sayo and Koh walked up in front of him. "Ami and the others should be on their way, yeah?" Sayo asked. "It's time we got going too."

"She's right." Shiki smiled helping Yuuko walk. "Luche is waiting for us too. We gotta go." Behind her, Himari was helping Nokia, Arata was getting supported by Kouta, Shoma was helping Yuugo, and Mameo was helping Keisuke.

Takuto smiled to Takumi. "Let's hit the road Cyber Sleuth."

"Mmh." Takumi nodded as they went towards the tunnel.

All the Kamishiro employees stood there in awkward shocked silence. "…What just happened?"

"Better question, how the hell are we explaining this to our superiors?"

In the special ward of the Central Hospital Yukino Aiba was sitting in a chair next to Ami's bed. The woman was sighing as she stared at a picture of her, her two kids and their father. "Takiyo…" She sniffled before looking at her daughter. "Takumi…Ami…come home soon." She stood up from her seat. "Don't leave your poor mother all alone…" She turned around and slowly walked towards the door to leave.

"Mom?" Yukino's whole body froze as she heard a familiar voice. She did not dare turn around at first not wanting this sudden hope to shatter. "Is that you mom?"

Yukino slowly turned around. Ami's head was turned towards her mother. Her eyes finally opened and looking at her. "…Ami…?"

The girl weakly smiled. "Mom…"

Yukino weakly hobbled towards Ami and dropped to her knees in front of the girl's bed. She slowly reached a hand towards Ami and rested it on her cheek. "Ami…?"

The girl smiled and put her own hand on top of her mother's. "I'm home mom."

Yukino started to choke up and tear up. She gently wrapped her arms around the girl. "Ami…!"

Ami teared up as her mother started crying. "Mom…"

Yukino sobbed holding onto Ami for a few moments longer. She then laid Ami gently back down on the bed. "Oh, thank god you're back…if you never woke up I…I…!"

Ami smiled. "Sorry I made you worry mom…"

"So then…does this mean your brother…"

"He should be awake too." Ami's smile faded. "But…it's not over yet."

Yukino looked at her daughter in concern. "What do you mean?"

"There's still something I need to do…" Ami groaned sitting up.

Yukino put a hand on Ami's shoulder. "Ami, lay down! You just woke up, what could be so important that-

"The Digital World…is in danger…no. Not just that. EDEN, the real world…everything…we have to stop him or else…"

Yukino tightened her grip on her daughter. "Ami, why?! I just got you back and your leaving?!"

"I'm sorry mom…but Takumi and the others are heading to the agency. I need to meet them there…"

"Why…why does it have to be you two?! Haven't you have done enough already?! Why can't someone else play the hero?!"

Ami sighed. "Mom…maybe sometimes the situation was kind of forced on me and Takumi…but even if it wasn't that wouldn't have changed our choices. Takumi and I want to help. Imagine if you had the opportunity to make a difference and you chose to stand aside and do nothing. When everything around you crumbles, when the world is about to end, can you really look back and say that you have no regrets or that you did all you could?"

"Ami…"

"After all, if the world ends, we go down with it. If that's how it's going to be I'd rather face the end on my feet fighting for those I care about. Including you. Don't worry, Takumi and I can do this. And it's not like we're going in alone." She heard a beep and noticed her Digivice on the table next to her bed. "Oh, speaking of…" She grabbed the goggles and pressed something. They projected images of her three Digimon.

Yukino looked at them. "These must be your Digimon."

"Yup. Rosemon Burst Mode, Ophanimon, and Kuzuhamon."

"Greetings Yukino Aiba." Kuzuhamon bowed. "It is nice to finally meet you."

"Please know we share your concern for Ami." Ophanimon said. "She means the world to us. If we could have our way, there would be no need for her or her brother to be involved in this. But right now, the crisis we face requires the power that only they can provide. Otherwise, we lose not just Ami but everything else we hold dear."

"That is why we must partake in this fight and give it our all." Rosemon Burst Mode said. "Yukino, I know this is a lot to ask…but please give Ami and Takumi you're blessing. And we in turn shall swear to you that we will defend your children even if we need to lay our lives down to do it."

"Well, you won't." Ami said to her Digimon. "We're all getting through this together. We have dreams to fulfill after this. And those dreams will be empty to me if you three aren't there with us to see them through."

"Oh, Ami…" Ophanimon smiled.

Yukino looked at them. "It's just like Takumi and his Digimon…" She smiled slightly. "You love Ami just as much as I do…"

"Well…she's family to us." Rosemon Burst Mode said.

Ami giggled. "Aww. I always did want sisters."

Yukino laughed softly. "Ami…you and Takumi really are set on this, aren't you?" Her daughter nodded. "You both really have grown…you're so much like your father."

Ami put her hands on her mom's. "Mom…please…"

Yukino sighed. "I feel like anything I try to say is pointless here. Alright. Go with your friends and save the world or whatever it is you seem to think you need to do. But you both have to promise me you'll come home to me alive. Understood? Or I'm finding a way to bring you both back to life to ground you forever!"

Ami smiled. "I will." There was a knock at the glass window, and she noticed Kyoko was just outside of her room. She slowly stood up from the bed. He first step was wobbly, but Yukino helped her over to the door and outside. "Kyoko!"

"You feeling alright Ami?"

"My body feels a bit weird, but I can move it at least. And you?"

"We'll I'd say I'm faring better then you. Makes sense as I was only in the Digital World for a little while."

"Miss Kuremi!" A nurse hurried over. "I told you, you need to stay in your room so we can have you checked out! Wait…Ami Aiba?! You're awake too?!"

"Yeah. Sorry, but my boss and I are checking out."

"I can't allow that! You've been unconscious for so long, your body might not be able to move properly!"

"I'm afraid there's no point in talking her out of it." Yukino told the nurse. "I already tried. My daughter has something important she needs to do."

"Whatever it is can wait for-

"It's alright." The ladies noticed a man walking into the ward.

"You're…Satoru Kamishiro! What are you-

"I already spoke with the front desk. Those two have my permission to leave."

"But-

Satoru held his hand up. "I will take full responsibility."

"Well…alright."

"Much appreciated Mr. Kamishiro." Kyoko smiled.

"Think nothing of it. Yuuko gave me the details. You're off to meet her and her friends at the agency, yes? I already have a cab parked out front waiting for you two."

"Thank you, sir." Ami said.

"Your father and brother would not be discouraged from what you thought was right. I see no wisdom in trying to do so to you."

"So, you did know him…"

"Yes. When this is over…I would like to talk to you and Takumi more about him. If that's alright."

Ami nodded then turned to Yukino. "We'll…I'm off."

Yukino hugged her. "Come home soon. I want to hear about everything from you and Takumi…and your wonderful brothers and sisters."

Ami nodded and turned to Kyoko. "Shall we get going?" the detective asked.

"Yeah! This case isn't over yet!" The two of them walked towards the door.

Satoru folded his arms with a smile as he and Yukino watched them leave. "You and Takiyo raised one hell of a family, Yukino."

"Yeah…"

Luche murmured as she started to stir. "Mhh…huh?" She opened her eyes and was in a dark space with a red sort of mist. "Where am I…?" She realized he couldn't move and looked at her limbs. They were held apart from each other in roots. "What is this?!" She tried to tug free, but she was trapped.

An eerie laughter brought her attention to two red lights glowing like eyes staring at her. "Still hanging on? You're a stubborn parasite."

Luche yelped. "Y-you! You're Boltboutamon!"

"Weeeeelll, technically the handsome Digimon known as Boltboutamon was cut in half by Kiryu. Why don't we just go back to my old name. The Malevolent Fist."

"You meanie! Let me go!"

"Hey, you're the one who dived in here. Frankly if I could spit you out I would. But you went and deeply installed yourself into the Nexus Tree. So, you're stuck in here with me until I finish digesting you. Then you'll be no more."

Luche looked down as she felt the roots around her legs crawl up her thighs. She shivered in a panic. "Epp!"

"And once I get you out of my system…I'll start my conquest of all the worlds!"

Luche put on a brave face. "Takuto, Shiki and the others will stop you!"

"Ha, ha, ha! We shall see. In the meantime, let's see how long you'll last…Oh! And while I wait for Takuto and the gang to come back…I should finish my party preparations!" Three puffs of red mist formed with red X's in them. In one of them a Dourgamon with dark blue fur, red eyes and claws and a metal mask appeared. In another was a DoruGreymon with black and red fur, and multiple silver points. Between them a purple and black Dorugoramon with red wings and a giant mace on the end of his tail appeared.

Probably not the kind of tree you'd want to decorate this holiday huh? Our heroes are back in the human world for the first time in a very long while. But they will not have much time to take it in as the Malevolent Fist makes his move. What's their counter play? See you next week.
