Chapter 7

Ragetti let out a cry jumping back before edging back to the rail to see a stream of bodies.

"Eerie. Downright macabre." Pintel said looking at his friend.

"I wonder what would happen if you dropped a cannonball on one of 'em."

They looked at each other before deciding to try and find out.

Pintel picked up a cannon ball and turned to see Tia Dalma there. He dropped the cannonball. "Be disrespectful, it would."

Tia looked out to the sea. "They should be in the care of Davy Jones. That was the duty he was charged with by the goddess Calypso: to ferry those who died at sea to the other side. And every ten years, he could come ashore, to be with she who loved him truly. But he has become a monster."

"He wasn't always all tentacle-y?" Ragetti questioned looking at Tia.

"No, he was a man, once. Poor, unfortunate souls ... now they must find their own way."

Ragetti nodded his head and spotted a small boat coming. "Now it's boats coming."

Will, Rose, and Elizabeth joined them.

Gibbs arrived at the rail loading a rifle lifting it to aim.

Will stopped him. "No. They are not a threat to us. Am I right?" Will questioned looking at Tia Dalma.

"We are but ghosts to them. They heed us not."

"Best just let them be." Barbossa said to Gibbs.

Elizabeth peered closer and noticed who it was. "My father! We've made it back!"

Rose looked on in shock realizing that there was something very wrong with this.

"Father, here! Look here!"

"Elizabeth…" Rose said softly.

Jack put a consoling hand on Elizabeth's shoulder. "Elizabeth. We're not back yet." He looked her in the eye.

An angished cry came from Elizabeth. "Father!"

Weatherby Swann glanced over seeing both of his daughters on the ship. "Elizabeth! Rose!" Concern came across his face. "Are you dead?"

Rose felt tears in her eyes slowly dribbling down her cheeks.

"No …"

He nodded his head at what Elizabeth had said.

She moved along the rail to keep up her pace with him.

"I think I am."

"No. You can't be."

"There was a chest, you see ... How odd. At the time, it seemed so important."

"Come abroad! Someone - cast a line! Come back with us!" She grabbed for the rope that the crewmen were preparing rather slowly. She casted it out landing neatly in his boat.

"And a heart, and if you stabbed the heart ... you would have to sail forever. That's how it worked. Stab the heart and take his place. The Dutchman must have a Captain. Silly thing to die for."

"Take the line!"

"Elizabeth. Rose. When I would reprimand you to obey rules, it was because I did not want you to ever be unhappy. But I should have recognized in your willfulness ... your courage. I am proud of you, Elizabeth. I am proud of you Rose."

"The line! Catch the line!"

The line fell into the water.

"Father! Come back with us! Please! I won't let you go!"

"She must not leave the ship!"

Rose grabbed her sister pulling her back towards her body. "Elizabeth stop," Rose said softly keeping her close to her sister. Tears slid down her cheeks as she watched their father's boat continue on.

"I'll give your love to your mother, then, shall I?"

Rose moved her sister to Will handing her over to him. She slowly moved back as she tried to compose herself. Returning home would be bittersweet.

Will's eyes drifted to Tia Dalma. "Is there a way?"

The woman shook her head. "He is at peace."

Rose sniffled softly. "That's the only thing that matters… him being at peace." She said softly as she gripped the rail. Sure she was going to miss him like she missed her mother, but this was murder and whoever killed her father would meet his end. That was the one thing that she could promise herself.

This is the end of Chapter 7. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I tried my best to write this out. But this was a hard chapter to write out that is for sure. Because I had to get in the mind of a daughter losing her father. Which was rather hard. I hope that it turned out well. Please leave a review and let me know what you think of this chapter. I will try my best to update soon with a brand new chapter.
