Hello there, UltimateDemonBeast65 here with a new story for you lovely viewers!

My friend, DarkShadowGames451, has created a Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction called SONIC RESURGENCE which uses lore from multiple sources of the Sonic franchise and tells a more grounded and gritty story of the horrors of war, childhood trauma and deconstructing many aspects of the characters and setting.

However RESURGENCE does not include a certain psychokinetic hedgehog and is most likely not going to feature him due to us not wanting to use time travel elements for the story. So instead, we are giving Silver his own story and setting, a spin-off series set within the Sol Dimension and the RESURGENCE overarching multiverse.

This is SILVER THE HEDGEHOG: ABSOLUTION, and I hope you all enjoy it!

To guard the spark of life… …The server of the seven Sol.

Sol is light. A light blessed by the spirit.

The guardian is the one who unifies the Sol.

Feel within… The embers of Sol. And the holy light.

May the brilliance of its gleam shine down eternally and protect us all.

Before the light, there was darkness. And before the dark, there was the primordial void. But before Ixis itself at the center of nothingness was present, the Great Harmony; the Chaos Gods.

One day, the Eternal Unity in its mysterious and chaotic nature, gave birth to three ever-expanding elements that shape the greater multiverse as we know it.

The Chaos Force, the force of entropy that binds all things together; the Source of All, the material that makes up all of physical reality; and the Sol Force, the spark of vitality that breathes life into all organisms. With the three cosmic forces, there came the birth of reality, the beginning of the space-time continuum.

First came the Chaos Gods, and then came three generations of deities that occupied the newly forming dimensions that spread all over the vastness of creation. Over many eons, new life emerged from these dimensions or Zones, and formed civilizations centered around the very beings that came to worship.

However, evil would eventually come from the depths of Ixis to corrupt the hearts of mortals and envelop the Zones in darkness. Despite this threat, the Great Harmony as the Ultimate Equalizer, set the most unlikely of lifeforms on a path of righteousness to combat the necessary wickedness that intends to erase all things.

Some of these mortals eventually become enlightened in the ways of the Great Harmony, ultimately transforming into the Chaos Gods' heralds upon ascension; Chaos Walkers. This leads to the battle between the many agents of good and evil, a conflict that spans all Zones. And within every dimension where there is an agent of evil, the Chaos Gods would choose their champion and paragon of heroism.

The most notable and recurring hero across various Zones is a young adventurous Mobian named Sonic the Hedgehog.

But we are not here for one of his many tales.

However, existing within the vast Cosmic Interstate of the Multiverse was a parallel reality to the Chaos Zone. A universe that is four hundred years ahead in time where the most abundant element being Sol Energy. This element was generated by one of the Chaos Gods' various creations, the god of motion, stillness, light, mutation, evolution, and physics, Saviturn. In this "Sol" Zone exists a planet Mobius that is mostly sea, with most landmass being submerged in water, leaving only a small handful of islands and a moderate-sized mainland ruled by the Sol Empire. And in this world, a new champion has been selected to represent the Great Harmony and protect creation within his reality.

His name is Silver the Hedgehog, and this is his story.

Fulgora, Sol Empire, Mobius

It was summertime in Fulgora in the year 3722.

Fulgora, the capital city of the illustrious Sol Empire, ruled over the remnants of the landmass that wasn't swallowed up by the ocean depths. Fulgora is home to entrepreneurs, dreamers, sky-touching limestone and red sandstone towers, belly dancing, thriving nightlife, and job opportunities.

Being the largest city in the Sol Empire and the known Eastern Sea, the population is rather massive, being a whopping fifteen million Mobians both native and foreign.

The Fulgorian culture thrived on the quality of their fishing industry, skilled architects, lavish textiles, a legendary archive of information, a melting pot of cuisines, rare spices for delicacies, and a high-end educational system for both civilians and those gifted in the mystical arts.

Of course, Fulgora is well known for being home to the Imperial Palace and the illustrious Sol royal family. Not only did they have the job of keeping peace and stability in Fulgora and the other nations that are under their imperial flag, but the emperor and his first child were responsible for protecting the seven Sacred Stones of Life which they took upon themselves to safeguard from their enemies.

One day, in the bustling streets of the city-state, a silver and white Mobian hedgehog with nothing but a brown hooded cloak while covering his pawed hands with bandages and brown boots walked out of a ferry that arrived at Fulgora's dock. His skin was pale yet dirty and he was unhealthily skinny. His name was Silver the Hedgehog.

'...I've made it, Gold. I'm in the capital. Fulgora.' The twelve-year-old thought to himself. 'It's so different from Soleanna.'

Silver moved at a steady pace as he observed the activity going on throughout the buzzing, thriving city. He narrowly dodged pedestrians, awkwardly moving between them as he tried his best not to trip over his cloak or other people around him.

"Excuse me, sorry, pardon me, so sorry, just passing by!" The young silver and white hedgehog said, nearly running into a few people before dodging an incoming bicycle. "This place sure is busy, how does anyone navigate these streets without knocking into each other?"

Silver stopped within a clearing in the road as he slowly tilted his head upwards, noticing the many skyscrapers and towers in the distance within the buzzing and thriving city.

"Woah, look at all those buildings! They're so tall, it makes the church towers back home tiny!" The silver and white hedgehog exclaimed in amazement before turning his attention back to his objective. "Focus, Silver, focus. Where did he say to go again…?"

Silver took a deep breath before he grasped his chin as he recalled the events that led to him coming to Fulgora in the first place.

-Flashback, Soleanna, Year 3721-

"There he is! Get that little freak!"

"Catch the spawn of Dark Gaia!"

"It's no use, creature! Accept your fate!"

"It's time we get rid of this cursed brat!"

Screams of anger, hatred, and persecution filled the air as the terrified Silver, only eleven years old, ran as fast as he could, moving between alleyways and streets as he tried with all his might to escape the citizens of Soleanna. His people.

"Crap, crap, crap! Can't let them catch me!" Silver thought as he nervously slid down a half-pipe on the edge of the street near him, which sped him out towards a sewer entrance that was right next to the road out of Soleanna. "The road out of the city is not too far from here! I need to hurry before they catch up!"

Silver leaped out of the half-pipe as soon as he reached the entrance to the sewers. The young hedgehog dashed to his right, moving up a pathway that led to the road out of Soleanna. Silver flinched slightly as he began to hear the thundering roar of hundreds of footsteps moving like a stampede onto his position. Silver didn't stop moving, however, for he knew what would happen if the people caught him. Especially after what he did.

"Come on, Silver! Almost there!" Silver thought to himself as he moved towards what looked like a sign on the side of the road.

Silver moved past the sign, then took a look at said sign as he moved away from it. It was a wood and steel sign, one that looked like it was centuries old, minus the patch-up jobs the locals had done to it in order to maintain its condition.

The sign read 'Welcome to Soleanna, the Kingdom of Light and Tranquility'.

Silver frowned upon looking at the sign, but simply kept moving as his need to escape the kingdom became more desperate. However as the young hedgehog began to leave the Soleanna area, he halted as he discovered that more of the citizens had been waiting on the road, planning a two-pronged assault on the young Mobian. Silver froze in place, his eyes dilated as fear raced over his body. There was nowhere left to run and no path to take, at least not one that didn't involve violence.

"Did you really think you could escape us, boy?!" One of the citizens shouted.

"Stupid brat, there's no point in running from us, it's no use, freak!" Another citizen yelled.

"Please! Just let me go, I promise that I won't come back!" Silver pleaded as he fell to his knees and begged for his life.

"No way in hell are we letting some Dark Gaia heretic like you get away! Your dark curse would just bring ruin and suffering to other kingdoms! You were born in Soleanna, and therefore Soleanna must be the one who vanquishes you!" A citizen bellowed who appeared to be a priest of the Soleanna Church, one that was in worship of Light Gaia, the patron deity of Soleanna and Dark Gaia's opposite and enemy.

"Cast this forsaken child down, Light Gaia! Let your rapture incinerate his corruption!" Several citizens alongside the priest chanted as they slowly approached Silver, getting ready to bind him.

Silver was sweating profusely as he felt like imminent doom was about to swallow him up. These people were supposed to be his fellow townsfolk, but they saw him as a pariah, as someone to fear and hate.

"No, damn it! What do I do, how do I escape?! If I lose control again, then…then-"

"Calm your mind, young Silver."

Silver's fear was replaced by confusion as a calm and mature male voice appeared in his mind. Before he could respond to this mysterious phenomenon, a loud blast of pressure was heard as the citizens closest to Silver were hurled away from him by some sort of invisible force that the hedgehog couldn't see. Silver then noticed a large shadow enveloping the space he was standing in, and the moment he tried to look up, the source of the shadow had already landed with a loud thud.

It was a large male Mobian mammoth with brown slightly shaggy fur, long curved tusks and green eyes. He wore a purple sherwani coat with gold buttons, a red sash around his waist, navy blue dhoti pants with gold trimming, brown sandals, and a mahogany shawl with gold trimmings and patterns. While he couldn't exactly tell what it was, Silver could feel something unusual about the mammoth.

"Who…are you…?" Silver asked the mammoth, to which the regally clothed mammoth gave no response, at least not a verbal one.

"Heed my words, young hedgehog. If you wish to escape from Soleanna, you must flee while I distract these ignorant cretins." The same male voice from before said in Silver's mind, to which the hedgehog finally understood, was coming from the mammoth.

"He's talking to me….in my mind." Silver said internally as his eyes dilated in surprise.

"We don't have much time, young Silver." The mammoth spoke telepathically. "When I give you the signal, you must run as fast as you can. When you are finally out of South Guardia, head for Fulgora."

"Fulgora? Why?" Silver asked back in his mind, knowing the mammoth could hear his thoughts.

"If you want answers on who and what you are, then you will go to Fulgora, where you will find my abode: Chakravarti Estate. I will give you the knowledge to navigate your way to Fulgora, and when you arrive, we shall meet and have much to discuss." The mammoth explained telepathically, to which Silver felt a sharp jolt pass through his brain.

"Ow, what a rush!" Silver exclaimed internally before rubbing his head.

Before Silver could say anymore, the citizens of Soleanna's patience waned thin as more began to charge towards Silver and the mammoth with farming tools and firearms at the ready. As a few of the citizens started to open fire, the mammoth thrusted out his hands which created a green energy barrier that stopped all of the bullets fired at the mystical Mobian. After the bullets had fallen to the ground, the mammoth thrust his arms forward once more, blasting the crowd in front of him with a non-lethal but impactful shockwave.

"Now, Silver! RUN!" The mammoth telepathically screamed, to which Silver without hesitation took off with as much speed as his adolescent hedgehog legs could take him.

Silver dashed up the road as he could the sounds of screaming, crashing, and anger in the distance. The mammoth appeared to be holding his own, but the hedgehog still had doubts about this.

"Why is he helping me? None of the grown-ups ever helped me before…" Silver wondered to himself, as he continued to run for his life, recounting the information the mammoth somehow shared with him. "Fulgora….guess we really are going to be able to see it, huh Gold?"

-Flashback End-

Silver snapped back to reality as he remembered the information that the mystic mammoth had given him. However, while the information had guarded him on a year-long journey from Soleanna to Fulgora, it was limited to getting him to the city and not the Chakravarti Estate. This caused Silver to sigh in frustration.

"Great, he tells me how to get here, but not how to get to his home? Just what is that mammoth up to?" Silver questioned as he looked around for anything that could point him in the right direction.

Silver was a complete stranger within the walls of Fulgora, and if he wanted to find his way then he needed a way to navigate. He needed a map, and sure enough, Silver could spot an information booth on the corner of the street.

"There. Maybe they'll have a map I could use to find the estate." Silver said to himself as he walked towards the information booth.

The vendor of the information booth was a female Mobian canary with green feathers, a yellow beak, blue eyes, and a bowl haircut with several bangs covering her left eye.

"Um, excuse me?" Silver said in an awkwardly polite tone, catching the canary's attention.

"Hmm? Oh hi there, what do you want?" The canary asked.

"Do you have, like a map of the city? I'm trying to find an estate, which I'm guessing is kinda big and fancy." Silver explained to the best of his ability, earning a small giggle from the canary.

"Well, that depends on which estate you're looking for, kid." The canary said as she reached into the information booth and pulled out what appeared to be a folded-up map, which had the words 'Map of Fulgora' written on the side. "Here's a map of the city, hope you find where you're looking for."

"Thank you very much." Silver said with a small bow as he took the map and opened it up.

The map was larger than what the young hedgehog expected as a slight breeze blew the map into his map, causing him to yelp as he stumbled back a few steps, his equilibrium slowly starting to wane.

"Shoot, shoot, shoot, I can't see where I'm going!" Silver exclaimed as he tried to pry the map off of his face, being careful to not tear it.

Silver took a few deep breaths before slowly peeling the map off him. He wiped off the dust and sand that clung to the map's edges and took a look at his location and his surroundings in the Fulgora city map.

"What did he say the place was called? Cha…chak…chakra…vartin….Chakravartin? It was something like that, right?" Silver said as he looked up and down the map of Fulgora, trying to pinpoint where he needed to go. "What is this road….Sutra Avenue, where's that supposed to be…"

Silver let out a frustrated groan as he clasped the side of his head with his free hand.

"This is so hard. Curse me for not paying attention to geography class! At least when I was still going to school that is…" Silver said as started to walk with the map, trying his hardest to navigate with it despite his inexperience in travelling.

As Silver attempted to read the map as he walked, the young hedgehog found its way into the famous Fulgora Marketplace where hundreds, if not thousands of vendors and merchants would set up their stalls to sell their produce and memorabilia. He pulled his map down, eyeing the different stalls as the aroma of succulent and alluring food filled his nostrils and caused a small but audible rumble in Silver's stomach.

"Man, I'm starving. The food smells amazing here, way better than those rations on the ship." Silver said as he looked at his body, noticing the lack of currency or anything to trade with. "Yeah, just as poor as I was back home. But I'm dying to eat something, it's making me feel sick at the thought of not trying any of this tasty-smelling stuff!"

While the young hedgehog's mind turned to the thought of food, his footing was off by a few inches and he fell back first into a nearby cabbage stall, causing the green round vegetable to be launched in all different directions, including a few that were launched in the air and splattered onto Silver's head, spraying cabbage juices onto his face.

"Oh, fiddlesticks!" Silver exclaimed as he wiped the cabbage off his face and head and stood back up off the stall.

"MY CABBAGES!" A loud male voice screamed at the top of his lungs, causing Silver to nearly jump off of his skin in shock.

Silver turned around and saw who appeared to be the vendor of the cabbage stall, a beige middle-aged male Mobian guinea pig wearing green and white robes and a turban. Suffice to say, the look on the guinea pig's face was twisted with anger and pain, something that Silver could feel radiating off the middle-aged vendor.

'...Uh oh.'

"YOU MISCREANT, RIFF-RAFF! HOW DARE YOU DESTROY MY LIVELIHOOD!" The cabbage vendor roared before whistling and signalling the local law enforcement. "GUARDS! Seize this peasant! He ruined my cabbages and stole from my shop!"

"What? Hey, that's not true! I didn't steal anything!" Silver exclaimed, before turning to his right, seeing what appeared to be two armed guards making their way towards him.

The two guards were male Mobians that wore uniforms composed of a lavender-coloured tunic with a scarlet collar, shoulder strips in a white hue, and cuffs of scarlet and white. For bottoms, they had on white trousers that possessed a red stripe down the seam of each leg. Around their waists were leather buff belts that were coloured mahogany. On the upper left pectoral region of their tunic was their rank pins, which had the Sol Empire's insignia and seven emerald-shaped gemstones with various colours, having one to seven based on the chain of command.

One of the guards was a Mobian armadillo with a black pointy nose, light blue eyes, black fur, beige skin, and a peach-red carapace that traveled up his back and to the top of his head. He also wore brown padded fingerless gloves and a brown bandana around his neck.

The other guard was a Mobian coyote who looked older than the armadillo. He had tan fur, light brown skin, and blond hair that was wrapped in a ponytail. There was also an eyepatch that covered the coyote's right eye. On his left side was a rapier sitting in its holster.

"Alright, alright," The armadillo said with his hands held up as a gesture to defuse the situation. "Let's all just calm down and settle the matter like civil people."

Turning to the young hedgehog, the older Mobian coyote glared and said, "You will be staying right where you are, delinquent."

"B-B-But, but…!" Silver tried to say, but the older guard growled at him.

The Mobian coyote guard cut him off, "Be silent, I say!"

The male armadillo, not at all surprised to see the spaz of a cabbage merchant flipping out over a situation that seemed to have been blown out of proportion, asked, "Okay, Taj. What allegedly happened this time?"

"What happened? What happened!? I'll tell you what has happened!" Taj, the cabbage merchant spat before pointing directly in Silver's direction. "That…that poor foreign street rat has wrought nothing but chaos! Just look at what his antics have done to my stand! His premeditated thievery may have failed, but now I have nothing to sell! He deserved to be drawn and quartered!"

'That's harsh! …Not that the villagers from my town haven't tried that already.' Silver thought to himself while wincing.

The armadillo face palmed before looking at his colleague as he asked, "Please don't tell me that you buy this load of crap. This is a kid that we're dealing with."

"Child or not, a crime iz still a crime. You know ziss to be true, Mighty." The coyote frowned at his junior.

"An alleged crime, Patch!" The newly named Mighty the Armadillo reminded his older colleague. "And besides, it's not the first time that Taj has exaggerated details when reporting to us. So you know what comes next."

Patch the Coyote let out an exasperated sigh, saying, "Ugh! We must be finding eyewitnesses to get more information."

"Exactly," Mighty said, crossing his arms with a satisfied smirk. "And if the kid does have dirt, we can place him in a holding cell before his sentencing. And assuming that the severity of the crime is minor, the Emperor will possibly send him to the Reformation Academy for Juvenile Delinquents on top of his light sentence."

Scoffing, Patch turned to Silver while saying, "Wiss zat being said, you, foreigner, will be coming with us for questioning."

"W-Wait, what?" Silver blurted out, starting to panic as he slowly backed away. "Why do I need to go with you? I didn't do anything wrong!"

"Patch, quit it! You're scaring the guy!" Mighty glared at the coyote before taking his turn to speak with Silver as a means to calm the boy down with a friendly and calm voice. "Hey, little guy. Listen, you're not in trouble yet. And to be honest, I don't think you're going to be. But you do have to come with us. If you can just tell what happened back at the-"

"-No, no, no, no! Not again! I did nothing wrong! LEAVE ME ALONE" Silver shouted as he began to sprint away from the supposed crime scene.

"HEY! WAIT!" Mighty shouted before swearing under his breath. "Ugh! Damn it, kid."

"See! See!" Taj the Guinea Pig pointed out as if he was right all along. "He's running away from the crime scene! Surely that proves he's guilty!"

"I told you we should have arrested him when we had the chance. After him!" Patch shouted before storming into the crowd to chase after the hedgehog.

"What are you waiting for? Go after that cabbage killer!" Taj shouted in a huff.

"Oh stuff it, ya fat old hamster!" Mighty said while he glared at the guinea pig before racing after his teammate.

"HEY!"

While having a head start on the guard, Silver did his best to dodge and weave around pedestrians. Mighty and Patch chased after the young hedgehog while also minding the bystanders around them.

"Sorry, pardon me, coming through, just passing by!" Silver said as he nearly ran into another stall, but stopped himself in time before he collided with it, letting out a sigh of relief.

Silver however picked up the pace once he spotted the two guards again, this time turning left onto a busy street. Mighty and Patch kept up the pursuit, finding it much easier to navigate Fulgora in comparison to Silver. The young hedgehog looked behind him to check the distance between him and the guards, noticing how they were catching up to him. Silver looked to his left and right, trying to think of what he could do to slow Patch and Mighty down, and soon enough eyed a few display racks with several magazines surrounding a small booth behind him.

Silver looked at the soon-approaching guards and the back at the display racks, then let out a huff as he raised one of his arms, pointing it in the direction of the racks.

"Come on, just a little bit of juice…just a little…" Silver muttered to himself as he did his best to concentrate and focus as a faint cyan light started to shine through the bandages around his hand.

Mighty's brow was raised at the spectacle while Patch uttered, "...What the-!?"

Soon after, the display racks and magazines were enveloped in cyan light as they were flung onto the ground, causing the path to become too hazardous to navigate without avoiding traffic. Silver then put his arm down and quickly ran off to avoid capture.

"Woah! What was that!?" Mighty said as he and his comrade stopped moving.

"He had moved the magazine rack with his mind. We have an Astra on our hands." Patch stated before saying, "I'll be finding another route to try and cut him off. You go and keep on his tail."

"That's fine by me. I haven't had a race like this in a while." Mighty said before running and hopping from side to side between the building walls.

Patch rolled his eyes before dashing to another street to enact their plan. Silver had not stopped running since knocking the display racks over, so much so the map he was holding onto was about to slip out of his fingers. The twelve-year-old felt another breeze blow into him, causing the map to blow out of his hand, much to the hedgehog's shock.

"AHHH! The map!" Silver exclaimed as he raced towards the map and reached out for it.

However as he leaped slightly forwards to grab the map, Silver felt the ground disappear underneath his left foot and to his horror, looked as if he was going to plummet over the side of a bridge.

"Oh no…" Silver thought as his right leg lost its leverage and his body began to fall.

As Mighty approached, he saw that Silver was about to fall to his doom, he sped up while saying, "No, no, no! KID!"

Patch jerked his head up toward the direction of his comrade's voice, only to gasp in horror as he saw the juvenile perp at the ledge of the 46-meter-tall bridge, and what awaited him below: solid road and sharp-tipped fences that could skewer any poor fool that fell onto them.

"Good Saviturn, he's going to fall!" The coyote whispered.

As he closed his eyes and braced for impact, Silver suddenly saw himself stop in mid-air, confusing the silver and white youth as they stared at the ground below.

"What…?" Silver said in confusion. "But I didn't even-"

"I gotcha!" A feminine voice spoke to him from above.

Silver tilted his head up, seeing that something long and bushy with various shades of grey had been wrapped around one of his legs. The long grey object was protruding from the edge of the bridge and appeared to be connected to the source of the feminine voice. They were a female Mobian lemur wearing a black crop top and gym shorts over an orange vest. On her hands were black and orange fingerless gloves with a matching pair of black and orange running shoes. On her forearms and ankles were white sports tape.

When he was pulled back up to the bridge, the lemur spoke, "Hi! We don't have a lot of hedgehogs come around here often! Are you lost?"

"H-How…W-What…Y-You…" Silver stuttered, not knowing what to make of the stranger's unusual feat of strength.

"What's the matter, friend? Is there something on my face?" The lemur said, awkwardly placing her hands on different spots on her face.

When Silver calmed down a bit to form coherent sentences, the hedgehog asked, "How did you do that with your tail!?"

Unwrapping her tail, the lemur answered, "Oh! You've got to be new then. I've gotten a bit of a following swinging around with my trained prehensile tail. Working out nonstop with it has done wonders for me."

Silver barely leaned forward, barely able to comprehend the madness that a person would have to go through in order to achieve what the lemur had done.

"Hey! You two stay where you are!" Mighty shouted, prompting the two mammals to turn to the armadillo's direction.

"Those jerks just don't know when to quit!" Silver exclaimed before he was scooped up by the lemur and wrapped underneath her left arm. "Hey, what are you doing? Put me down, lady!"

"No can do, little guy! We're blowing this popsicle stand!" The lemur said as she sprinted in the opposite direction of Mighty before leaping into the air and using her prehensile tail to grab onto a nearby sign.

She then spun her body around a few times, causing Silver to become slightly dizzy and nauseous, before she launched herself into another sign, which she, in turn, grabbed like the last one and zipped towards a rooftop, landing on top of it before she continued to switch between free-running and swinging with her tail.

Patch watched this and said, "We got a runner, and an accomplice is helping him!"

Taking out a small radio, the Mobian coyote stated, "Mighty, I'm going to call for backup. The pair are too quick for me."

(Roger that! I'm in hot pursuit!) The armadillo said before cutting communication.

Silver had witnessed many crazy and peculiar things in his life, but being carted around by some quirky lemur girl with a super strong tail while being chased by the authorities was something he wasn't expecting, let alone in the capital city of the Sol Empire. Silver shouted and screamed a few times in short bursts as the female lemur swung and zipped between walls and other grabbable surfaces with her prehensile tail.

"Hey, easy there, kiddo! I won't drop you, my grip has been honed to perfection!" The lemur assured the young hedgehog as she leaped forward and grabbed a flag pole before swinging into a building wall and running across it before landing on a roof. "Oh sorry, where are my manners? Hi there, I'm Shri Parvarti! But my friends all just call me Tangle! …You know, on account of you know, the tail? I used to get tangled in it all the time, it was so embarrassing! Hahahaha! Good times…"

"...What…?" Silver said flatly in confusion, to which the lemur girl known as Tangle let out a laugh as she leaped forward to grab onto some nearby railing and swung herself and Silver down safely onto the corner of another street.

"So, uh, what's your name, kid?" Tangle asked as she continued to run from the authorities with Silver under her arm.

"I-It's Silver." The young hedgehog said, feeling nauseous from Tangle carrying him around.

"Silver, nice name by the way! It suits you, given your fur and quills!" Tangle said with a chuckle. "So what brings you to Fulgora, kiddo?"

"I-AHHH!" Silver screamed as he was suddenly flung into the air by Tangle, who proceeded to leap over an incoming taxi bike and caught Silver with her tail before continuing to run.

Right behind, a horse-powered carriage pulling other random Mobian guards were in hot pursuit of the two in the streets. One of them blew a loud whistle to let their presence known. Meanwhile, Mighty continued to leap from building to building to catch up to Tangle.

"Will you stop throwing me around like a rag-doll already?!" Silver yelled in a flustered tone as he spotted Mighty as he leaped to another building. "That guard from before is still following us. He's like a parkour master!"

"Oh, right. That's my boyfriend." Tangle said casually.

"YOUR WHAT?!" Silver exclaimed.

"Yeah, he used to chase me all the time when I was free-running across the city. I tried to escape each time, but he was just….too good." Tangle explained as she put Silver under her arm again and grabbed onto a nearby street lamp with her tail. "But hey, you know what they say about accidentally falling for something, right?"

Silver's cheeks turned a slight red, remembering a certain someone from his past before giving a small nod.

"Right." Tangle chuckled as she asked him a question next. "So, where do you want to go again? You seemed lost and got thrown at the wrong place at the wrong time."

"I'm looking for a place where I'm supposed to meet someone. I think it's called Chakravarti Estate." Silver replied.

"Oh! I know where that is! A longtime friend of mine works there!" Claimed the perky lemur.

"Oh, that's great! But how do we lose your boyfriend?" Silver questioned.

"It's okay, I know a shortcut there! Hang on tight, Silver!" Tangle advised as eyed a few flags and street lamps as she dashed towards them and used her prehensile tail to swing between each one.

Mighty, noticing what was going on, groaned to himself, "Ugh… Really, Tangle? Why do you have to make my job harder?"

Tangle performed a frontflip as she swung herself and Silver towards a footbridge that scaled over a small apartment building, and then quickly took off to try and keep some distance between herself and Mighty. Mighty however was not slowing down, he wasn't going to let his girlfriend off scot-free, that was for sure as the armadillo approached one of the apartment buildings and proceeded to wall jump up it, bouncing and sliding between balconies.

Both Tangle and Mighty had trained their bodies to be in peak physical shape, having great dexterity, endurance, and equilibrium alongside strength and speed that some locals would call almost superhuman if they hadn't recognized the unusual couple.

While in hot pursuit, the horse-powered carriage began to catch up to the pair as one of the guards took aim and began firing tranquillisers to subdue them in order to help Mighty catch them. Silver had noticed this and began to panic.

"They're shooting at us!" Silver yelled.

"...Tranq darts! Tch! Typical Royal Guard!" Tangle said with a chuckle as she did her best to avoid the tranquiliser darts with her acrobatics.

While most of them missed, Silver was able to make out a few incoming darts that were shot in their direction. Tangle had not noticed them yet, so the young hedgehog took a deep breath as he quickly held out his hand, cyan light shining from underneath his bandages as he stopped the tranquilliser darts in mid-air. Suffice it to say, everyone who witnessed this was surprised to be sure.

Tangle saw this for a split second, then said, "Woah! I guess I'm not the only one who's got talent."

"Talent…right…." Silver muttered under his breath as he dropped the tranquilisers, falling onto the road.

"We're almost there, Silver, just right past this street block!" Tangle yelled as she reached out with her tail and grabbed onto a flag pole and began to swing her body back and forth to build up momentum.

"I hope so…" Muttered, forcing himself not to vomit from the vertigo that he was feeling from swinging around.

After a few swings, Tangle propelled herself forward while holding on tight to Silver with her arm. She landed on another rooftop and started to sprint again, noticing how her boyfriend was catching up to them.

"I got you now, Tangle…" Mighty said as he leaped between the buildings nearby and then jumped onto the rooftop she was currently running on.

"Crap! He's getting closer!" Silver exclaimed.

"Ha! That's what he thinks!" The girl rolled her eyes before giving the younger hedgehog a reassuring smirk. " Hey, chin up! Your stop is just around the corner. In the meantime, just hold on and enjoy the show's grand finale!"

As the agile lemur continued to keep running, she turned her head to look at Mighty coyly.

The Mobian acrobat winked at Mighty and said sassily, "Sorry, babe, but you're not catching me this time!"

"Wanna bet?" Mighty retorted back as he increased his running speed, eager to catch his acrobatic girlfriend and the young fugitive hedgehog.

Tangle simply grinned as she continued her level of speed as she arrived in the city block where her and Silver's destination was. The lemur grabbed onto a nearby pole with her tail and then launched herself with it like a slingshot towards the other side of the street. However while in mid-flight, Mighty had leaped out in front of her to try and intercept her, spreading his arms out in a defensive manner.

'He's in front of us!' Silver thought as he began to internally panic.

In a split second, Mighty caught the mischievous smirk on Tangle's face as a sign to show that she wasn't throwing in the towel anytime soon. In a split second, Tangle adjusted her stance and stuck her left foot out as she was about to collide with the armadillo.

'...Uh oh! I'm about to get the boot!'

However before her foot struck Mighty, Tangle planted her foot on top of her boyfriend's carapace-clad head, using it as leverage as she pushed off of him, launching herself and Silver further across the street.

"...NOT WHAT I HAD IN MIIIND!" Mighty screamed as he plummeted to the ground.

"Better luck next time, baby!" Tangle said before turning around in mid-flight and blowing Mighty a kiss.

The member of the Royal Guard plummeted into the road below him, narrowly avoiding a few vehicles as he landed on his feet while the force of the fall forced him onto his knees.

"Damn it, she got away again…" Mighty said before watching as Tangle and Silver landed on the other side of the street, then let out a content chuckle. "She's good, too good. And that's why I love her…"

"Aaand, we are here! Chakravarti Estate, just like you wanted!" Tangle said, extending her arms forward to gesture to the building in front of them.

Silver looked at the building and was confused. The name of the place was Chakravarti Estate, but what he was looking at now appeared to just be some pawn shop on the side of the road.

"...You're kidding me. This is the estate!?" Silver shouted in disbelief before shaking his head in refusal. "No, no, no, no. This is…no, it's gotta be a prank. Some kind of joke. Yeah, that must be it."

"...Um, pretty sure this is the right place," Tangle reassured. "I've been going here all of my life."

"Um, lady, this is a pawn shop. Not an estate." Silver refuted, crossing his arms. "I know false advertisement when I see it. Do you have a map or something? Because mine is gone and I have to see where I'm at right now."

Tangle, seeing that her words wouldn't be enough to convince him, pulled out her own map and gave it to the young hedgehog. Silver skimmed through it matched his confirmed location based on his surroundings and lowered the map from his face.

"WHAT THE HECK!?" Silver blew up with a comically crossed expression as his muzzle burned red. "You mean to tell me that I spent months at sea living in a frickin' barrel for this!? I mean, this isn't even an estate! It's some shoddy-looking pawn shop! UGH! Stupid! Why did I even listen to that weird old hairy elephant!? Now I'm halfway around the Western Sea with nowhere to stay while being chased by the authorities! Fan-tucking-fastic!"

Suddenly, the pawn shop door swung open and Silver's body was enveloped by green energy.

"What the-AHHH!" The young hedgehog screamed as he was sent hurling towards the doorway and upon landing on the pawn shop floor inside, the door then slammed shut.

Tangle, who watched the spectacle go down, merely blinked stupidly before shrugging it off entirely, saying, "...Well, I guess that's that."

Tangle then did a few stretches before she took off into the streets, hoping to maintain her record of evading the authorities.

Chakravarti Estate, Fulgora, Sol Empire

Silver slowly lifted himself up from the floor, dusting himself off as he took a look around the place. The twelve-year-old hedgehog couldn't believe his eyes, as though it looked like a pawn shop on the outside, the inside was far different.

"...Holy Gaia!" Whispered the child.

Silver was standing in what appeared to be the front hall of a large manor. It had a large staircase in the center that intersected into two smaller staircases that went upwards. The architecture was not like the Indian-inspired buildings and towers of Fulgora and took on a European aesthetic with some Asian-inspired drapery and artwork sprinkled around the place. Many of the objects, ornaments, and decorations seemed to have a mystical glow or feeling to them, contrasting the more urban and blander style of architecture from the outside.

"How…how is this possible? It looks like a pawn shop on the outside, but inside it's…"

"...The Chakravarti Estate." An older and deep voice spoke.

Silver turned around to see that the Mobian mammoth who had helped him escape Soleanna was now before him, only this time he was holding an exotic cane, one that looked quite ancient and archaic, especially with what appeared to be a piece of some sort of glowing green gemstone embedded in the cane's tip.

"I trust that you found this place well enough?" The mammoth asked.

"If by well enough, you mean nearly falling off a bridge and being swung around by a crazy lemur lady while law enforcement pursued the two of us, one of them being her boyfriend, then yes." Silver said with a bothered and fed-up tone.

"Ah, so you have met Miss Parvarti then on your search for my estate. She is quite hyperactive and eccentric as you yourself can attest, but she is ultimately a hard-working and reliable young woman. I knew she could deliver you to the estate once you arrived in Fulgora." The mammoth explained, to which Silver's eyes widened in surprise.

"Wait, you knew I was here? And you didn't think to come looking for me?" Silver asked sceptically.

"What purpose would bringing you here immediately upon your arrival to the city serve?" The mammoth asked back, confusing the young hedgehog.

"Excuse me?"

"...What good does an adventure serve if there is not a lesson to accompany it?" The mammoth rhetorically questioned. "It would be a waste of your time, that's what. I had to be sure that I could trust that you'd follow through in listening to instructions when provided."

"But you only gave me instructions on how to get to Fulgora, not to your estate," Silver argued. "How could I have found this place if it was disguised as a pawn shop?"

"Ah, but that's the beauty of exploration." The Mobian stated. "Earnest and the bare minimum of trust makes for building character and can take a growing young man like yourself a long way."

"Well, I don't exactly trust many people." Silver said with a shrug.

"But you trusted me, did you not?" The mammoth asked.

Silver was about to respond, but couldn't come up with an argument for the Mobian mammoth's question. The young hedgehog instead let out a sigh before continuing his conversation with the older gentleman.

"I believe introductions are in order." The mammoth said before banging his cane down on the floor, to which he and Silver were suddenly warped to a living room with a large fireplace.

"What the?!" Silver exclaimed in surprise. "How did we-"

"Magic, young hedgehog, Chaos Magic to be precise." The mammoth said before gesturing to the sofa, offering Silver a seat.

The young hedgehog took a seat and asked, "...Chaos Magic? I don't understand. I thought that there was only Gaia Magic."

"To the vast majority of the world, that is true. But to those who know the truth, such as myself, there exist many paths to power and knowledge, whether it be from Gaia or from Chaos." The mammoth explained before speaking further. "I am Mammoth Mogul, the proprietor of Chakravarti Estate and an old man with a few tricks up his sleeves. It's a pleasure to officially meet you, Sebastian Venice, or do you prefer Silver the Hedgehog?"

Silver winced upon hearing his birth name again.

"Silver the Hedgehog." The young hedgehog answered. "But how did you know my original name?"

"I have been watching your bloodline for generations. Your lineage traces back to powerful warriors, even kings and queens. And with this world continuing to plunge deeper into Chaos, I knew that a new hero would be needed soon. One of noble blood, great potential, and with the best of intentions. And when I discovered your existence, I knew that I found the right one."

"...Let me get this straight. You had me sail halfway around the world, get chased by cops, abducted me with your weird falsely advertised pawn shop/magic mansion, just so that you, a random stranger who came out of frickin' nowhere, can groom me into being some sort of hero?"

"For the sake of the world as we know it, yes."

The boy then, with a smile on his face, said, "...I'm in."

"...Uh, come again?" The sorcerer asked.

"You said that you needed a hero, right? Well, I'm all for it."

"...Well, yes. I did mention that. It's just…I expected a negative response to the trickery behind my task."

"Oh, I already kind of complained along the way. I did spend a while in a barrel on my way here. One of the cops was a huge jerk. And don't even get me started on that fat gerbil. But, the city looks nice, and one of its locals was at least nice enough to help me find this place. So, I guess it all worked out in the end. I just hope I'm not on a wanted poster for accidentally wrecking a cabbage stand."

"...Don't you have any questions, though? I may or may not have known who your parents were."

"...So?" Silver shrugged, "They're dead. I've lived on my own long enough to not need anybody to take care of me. I'm here and that's all that matters. Besides, it's not like I had anything to go back to."

'...This boy is something else. His maturity and insight are well developed for someone of his age.' The mammoth thought to himself with a smile. 'Yes, he will make for a great apprentice. And potentially, my successor.'

"So, what do I call you?" The young hedgehog questioned. "Because I won't lie, calling you Mammoth and or Mogul sounds kinda awkward. It's like someone calling me Sebastian."

"You may call me Master or Master Mogul, for you'll be my apprentice from now on." Mammoth Mogul stated. "And you'll be living here in my home, your new home."

"...Wait, you're adopting me?" Silver asked, shocked that an adult would even fathom to make such a decision.

"That is correct." Mammoth Mogul replied. "You've been taking care of yourself for so long, it's about time someone took care of you for a change, to have a proper education and life."

"This is all so sudden…." Silver said, scratching his head before looking at the old mammoth and proceeding to bow to him. "Thank you, Master Mogul, I won't waste the opportunity that you've given me. I promise."

"I know, my boy. I can already see the fire in your eyes."

"Fire? But my powers are psychic in nature." Silver said with a hint of confusion.

"It's a figure of speech, lad." Mammoth Mogul clarified. "But make no mistake, Silver, with my training, you shall learn to harness the full power of Psychokinesis, and perhaps more once you're ready."

"Oh. Well, when do we start?" Silver asked, with excitement in his eyes and a bright smile.

"Momentarily, my new apprentice." Mammoth Mogul said before holding out his hand. "But therefore we get started, I have something to give you. Take my hand, Silver."

Silver hesitated at first but grasped it despite the apprehension. A green glow then enveloped the room, causing the young hedgehog to stumble back and let go of the mammoth's hand. However, upon looking at his hands, he discovered that the bandages were no more and was now wearing white gloves with cyan circular markings on his palm, similar to the markings on his hands, and around his wrist were golden cuffs with cyan lines similar to mechanical wiring that glowed slightly like a faint LED light.

"This is amazing…." The young hedgehog said as he heard the sound of boots scraping against the floor, to which he looked down at his feet.

On Silver's feet were not the rags and bandages, but a pair of navy blue boots with a white stripe down the center, cyan toes, grey soles, and red gems on his calves with gold frames and gold bracelets on his wrists and ankles with cyan lines in a similar shape to wiring on a machine.

"W-What's this? What are these?" Silver queried, looking at his hands and feet.

"The Garb of the Esper," Mammoth Mogul answered. "They are to help you focus your blessing. These mystical items will serve you well. Think of them…as a gift of sorts."

Silver nodded then flexed his hands and tapped his feet, allowing his psionic power to flow through the gloves and boots.

"This feels more…fluid. It's like I'm more, I don't know, energised!" Silver said, filled with vigour and energy.

"Let's start your training with something rudimentary, but different," Mogul instructed with his arms behind him. "I want you to channel your psionic power through the pathways to the soles of your feet,"

"What? How come, Master?" The young hedgehog questioned.

"This will be a test. With your innate power, you are able to simulate the ability of flight." Mammoth Mogul explained.

"Me? Fly?" Silver questioned. "You think that it's possible for me to fly with my powers?"

"I believe you can fly with time." Mogul corrected. "Right now, there's no reason why you shouldn't lift yourself off the ground and eventually hover in short distances. The trick is to concentrate and believe in yourself. All that I ask of you is to try."

Silver nodded and looked at the circular marks on his gloves that matched the markings on his hands before bawling them up to fists with determination in his eyes.

"Alright," Silver whispered.

He took a breath and cleared his mind, thinking, 'Concentrate and believe.'

It was the hedgehog's first time he was attempting to apply his powers differently. He had always tried to use his psychokinesis usage at a minimum. And even when he's forced to his powers, the child always uses it on other objects. He did dare use it on other people, let alone on himself. Truth be told, he was nervous. But he couldn't let that deter him from his goal. This was his second step toward his overall goal. To achieve the dream that Gold would never be able to reach with him.

'Here goes…' Silver thought to himself.

Mammoth Mogul watched attentively as Silver's focus and control heightened, allowing the boy to channel his psionic power through the pathways through his hands and feet. Soon enough, his whole body was filled with a teal and light blue aura as Silver tensed his body with his eyes tightly shut. There was an audible grunt that the boy was making, signifying that it took an exceptional amount of effort on Silver's part to do something he hadn't been made to do before.

'...Impressive. Not even the later Empress had this amount of control over her power at that age.' Mammoth Mogul thought to himself. 'I truly have a special one in my hands.'

"Come on…!" Silver said, exercising his power to slowly lift himself up in the air. "Come on…!"

For a total of thirty seconds, Silver was able to lift himself up with his psychokinesis five feet in the air. But eventually, lack of food, water, and weariness from being chased throughout the city while being thrown had caught up with him.

The boy plummeted to the floor, only to be caught by Mogul himself.

While panting out of fatigue, Silver said, "...I-I'm sorry, Master. I-I did my best."

"Nonsense, child. Fulgora was not built in a day." The Mobian mammoth stated. "The fact that you pushed yourself to ascend five feet proved to me that you're capable of flight. And that's just one possible application for your power. With dedication and practice, you'll be able to do good for the people in the community."

"Sounds…great…" The boy said before dowsing off to sleep.

The Mobian smiled and walked to the nearest guest room. He used his Chaos-based magic to replace the boy's clothing with dark blue pajamas covered in stars and moons before tucking him into bed.

"Rest easy, son. You have a long road ahead of you." Mammoth whispered before exiting the room and shutting the door.

This action of compassion and dedication would lead Silver to train hard with his powers under the sorcerer for two long years.

Chakravarti Estate, Fulgora, Sol Empire

Two years was nothing to Mammoth Mogul. He existed for centuries thanks to being the sole user of Chaos Energy through his knowledge of magic. Both two years had been a long time for a child such as Silver the Hedgehog, formerly known as Sebastian Venice of Soleanna.

To the ancient Mobian, Silver hadn't changed much. At least in terms of his true personality. He was skeptical but optimistic. Naive but bright. He deals with negativity by finding positive outlooks on troublesome situations. Through training Silver's mind with the use of obstacle courses, Mogul learned of Silver's excellent problem-solving skills, much to his delight. Rarely did the hedgehog seem like he was stuck. And whenever he did, Silver used intuitive and creative means to overcome the problem with his intelligence rather than using brute force.

What Silver lacked, however, was physical combat experience. While Silver's mind was brilliant, Mammoth Mogul could see that overlying on his psionic abilities could lead to a competent opponent analysing Silver's weaknesses and attacking him when he's focused on a singular target.

Another issue at hand was Silver's abysmal social skills. When they rarely left the estate, Silver was not comfortable being around people. Particularly, other adults. He would often remain close to his new guardian and stay silent. He would only speak when addressed and kept conversations short. It was unhealthy for a person his age not to interact with the people he was going to have to eventually protect.

So, on top of training, Mogul gave him basic education on Folgora's history and had the child read a textbook on group communication.

Confidence-wise, Silver has greatly improved. He can telekinetically grab and move up to several objects many times his own size and weight as both a single or collective mass through his newly created Meteor Smash attack. In fact, his psychic energy-infused grab perfected to the point where he crushed metal with a single telekinetic grab, and immobilised the movements of moving targets with a varied amount of weight. The hedgehog could hover for longer periods of time, practically achieving flight after many moons of training his psychokinetic abilities. Speaking of which, another technique he had created was graphing a temporary mark with psionic power so great, that its pressure could bend steel and move objects automatically (PK mark). He also managed to gain great control of his psionic energy to where Silver could charge it and unleash a powerful strong shockwave of that energy with a swing of his arm which can push objects far away or even paralyze foes caught in its wake.

This would be referred to as Psycho Smash, obviously by Silver.

Now, the fourteen-year-old's appearance was more refined and put together. While the Mobian hedgehog was skinny, physical and mental exercises had him develop a lean but stronger body. A far cry from the frail little prepubescent boy who took his first step into the big city. His skin went from being pale to dark tan like Shadow and Knuckles. His eyes, while soft in the presence of his guardian and master, have become narrow from his physical and mental discipline.

Silver wore his new Garb of the Esper, now acting his uniform under the tutelage of Mammoth Mogul.

Now, the teenager had one last challenge to prove himself ready to request an audience with the Emperor of the Sol Empire. And it was the most difficult obstacle Silver had ever come across.

While sitting across from his master in Mogul's office, Silver sat before a beige small metallic cube with engravings written in a lost ancient language. Its edges seemed to be able to rotate. Its walls looked as if it could fold outwards. For two years, Silver had tried to move it. But for some reason, no matter how focused Silver would be, it just won't budge. The best he could do was make it levitate. It seemed hopeless to try and solve the puzzle.

Little did Silver know that it was made up of one of the most durable metals and supernaturally resistant substances in the world, Megatal.

But today felt different. He was confident in his developed abilities and skills.

"The Psionic Cube has been your greatest challenge yet, child. Do not rush or force yourself." Mammoth Mogul stated sagely. "Remember what I've taught you on the first day of your training."

"I know, Master. Concentrate and believe." Silver reiterated, mentally preparing himself as he took several deep breaths.

Silver outstretched both of his open palms to the puzzle.

"Gaia, Gold, give me strength…" Silver whispered before channelling his power from his body to the cube.

Like all of his previous attempts, he's successfully lifted the cube up two feet from the table. However, his focus had almost immediately begun to waver, causing the psionic energy within him to spike and lose control of Silver struggling to maintain his grip while trying to move specific areas of the object he was holding.

Silver's face was gritting his teeth, as Mogul watched his student's arms tensing up.

"Stay calm," The robbed mammoth said, never raising his voice.

"I-I'm…t-trying…!" The silver-furred hedgehog grunted.

Suddenly, swarms of insecurities and the fear of another failed attempt began attacking his confidence relentlessly.

"...Stop."

Hearing his master's command, Silver immediately dropped the Psionic Cube and placed his hands on the table, using it as support.

"Do you know why you're having trouble?" Asked Mammoth Mogul, acting like a teacher while taking the tone of a parent.

"...Because I wasn't focusing enough," Silver moped, putting his head down on the table.

"Was it your focus that wavered?" Mogul asked rhetorically. "Or was it the lack of faith in yourself?"

Silver looked down at the table, tapping the surface of it with his right index finger.

The Soleanna-born groaned and said, "I've been at this for two years and not once have I been able to make that stupid thing budge! I don't get it! At this rate, I'll never solve it."

"Try again," Mogul instructed.

"Why should I? I've given it my best shot and it didn't work. I need more time and practice." Silver questioned.

"That is a mental block, Silver. One that you place on yourself to protect," Mammoth Mogul clarified. "Listen. Two years is enough time for me to pick up on things. There are things that you may not like to talk about to me. I just want to let you know that I am aware of what has happened to you. I also know the fate of your friend. No child should ever endure what you did. And for that, I am sorry."

'...He knows about that day!' Silver gasped in his mind, sitting up properly.

Mogul continued, "However, I've seen what your power is capable of and I understand that you fear losing control. But you should not fear what is a part of you. There are going to be harder lessons to learn as life goes on, and without any faith in yourself, what you and she aspire for in the future will be as it was when she was alive. Just a dream. So I implore you to at least one more time. I believe that you are ready, that you can solve it now."

Silver looked at his gloved hands and clenched them into fists, feeling his vigour returned with full force.

"I'll try the puzzle again, Master. I won't fail this time, either!" The psychokinetic hedgehog declared.

The old Mobian smiled at the watch as the hedgehog restarted the trial. He took several deep breaths, concentrated his psionic energy from his body, and grabbed the cube with his power.

Did the teenager sweat? Yes. Was he nervous? Definitely. Was that stopping him from believing in himself? Not even close.

'I can do this…I can do this! No, I WILL do this!' Silver fought in his head, changing his mindset.

Suddenly, he found the edges of the cube beginning to turn, showing that they resembled small pyramid-like shapes. Silver didn't stop there and continued to turn the anti-supernatural metallic item for a solid minute with all of his might. Once the corners were done turning, they were pulled out with rods at the bottom of them. For that reason, the walls of the cube folded outwards, revealing its inner content.

"...Holy crap, I-I did it!" Silver cried out in excitement! "FINALLY, I SOLVED IT!"

Silver's celebration was short-lived when Mammoth Mogul told him to look at the cube's contents. When he did, the young hedgehog noticed a pair of bracelets, each with a single extension decorated by a cyan glow placed on the upper edge.

While picking the bracelets up, Silver asked his teacher, "They look like the cuffs on my gloves and boots. What are these for?"

"Those Power Bracelets are enhancements," Mogul explained. "Specifically, they are designed to keep your growing power in control and increase the range and precision of your psionic energy."

"Sounds redundant, but I get it," Silver admitted as he inspected the bracelets. "I was so used to being a short-range psychokinetic and it annoyed me. So this should come in handy."

"Indeed,"

Silver then awkwardly questioned,"...So do I have to change my cuffs or-"

"-Just attach them to the upper half of your braces." Mammoth Mogul instructed them.

Silver did what he was instructed, placing and properly adjusting the attachments before allowing his psionic power to flow in his body.

"Good, now I want you to reform the Psionic Cube." The old sorcerer challenged the boy.

Accepting his guardian's instructions, Silver looked at the cube. What surprised the young yellow-eyed hedgehog was that it was much easier for him to not only move the Megatal pieces of the cube, but he perfectly reassembled the cube without failure.

Silver held his hands as the cube floated to the fourteen-year-old's gloved hands.

"That cube is made of one of the rarest metals on the planet," Mammoth Mogul informed Silver. "It's known for its resilience in durability and its high resistance to supernatural forces. And at your current strongest with inhibitors on, you can bend the strongest metal."

Silver's eyes widened, rendered completely silent at this revelation. With a confident grin, Mammoth Mogul broke the silence with three important words.

"...You are ready,"

To Be Continued…

Author's Notes:

Did you enjoy the chapter? If you did, please leave a favorite and a review on what you liked or didn't like. So yeah, ABSOLUTION as you can see takes place in the Sol Dimension where Blaze is from as we liked the chemistry between Silver and Blaze in 06 despite the inconsistencies created by it and Rush, so we thought that Silver fits the Sol Dimension more than the primary universe that RESURGENCE takes place.

So, the Sol Dimension's Mobius takes place 400 years later than Chaos (Prime) Dimension Mobius. This is both because it's a reference to Silver being from the future and yes, while Silver is from 200 years in the future in canon, we decided to make it 400 years so that it makes more sense that Mobius' terrain is so different from the prime universe. The other reason is because every universe has a different flow of time, as not every universe takes place in the same year or day.

The Sol Empire's mainland/city-state has been named Fulgora, Latin (root- Fulgor) for dazzling brightness or splendour due to it being home to the Emperor and his family, the Sols. Fulgora's look is inspired by Mumbattan from Spider-Verse, having a blend of Indian and modern-urban architecture and culture, though primarily still takes most of its influence from Indian cities.

Unlike the Chaos (Prime) Dimension, the Sol Dimension is more abundant with Sol energy and has a lack of Chaos energy where only Mammoth Mogul being the sole user of Chaos energy now due to events that will be explained more later, but has to do with Saviturn, the certain god of sunlight mentioned above who has claimed the Sol Dimension as his domain, making a version of Mobius where the Sol Force is dominant instead of the Chaos Force.

ABSOLUTION will have more fantasy elements and a greater emphasis on magic, supernatural forces, and the like due to the lack of technology compared to the Chaos Dimension (RESURGENCE). While they have plumbing, firearms and electricity, they don't possess the internet, television or modern devices and gadgets that we have. The Sol Dimension is more reliant on magic and supernatural practices for their daily lives, but not every person can use magic.

Like in RESURGENCE, there will be differences and/or changes in the name, characterization, and possibly looks of preexisting characters that did not make an appearance and mostly likely will not make one in SONIC RESURGENCE. Stand by for future chapters and be on the lookout for some cameos. Mighty for example is going to be used in ABSOLUTION instead of RESURGENCE, turning him into a member of the Sol Empire Royal Guard alongside Patch who is simply the Sol Dimension counterpart of Antoine but with his Anti/Moebian counterpart's nickname from the Archie Comics.

We decided to also add Tangle from the IDW Comics in the story as we believe she would fit the mould of the Sol Dimension and give us a good chase scene. And yes, she is dating Mighty here so sorry to burst your bubbles Tangle x Whisper shippers, but she isn't into girls in this universe, maybe in the prime one but not here.

Tangle's real name is inspired by Sanskrit and Hindu terms, with Shri being a title given to an individual, god or book while Parvati is the Hindu goddess of motherhood, harmony and power.

The reason why Mammoth Mogul is Silver's mentor comes directly from the Archie Comics where he was just that: Silver's mentor in the ways of Psychokinesis and time travel. We decided that the dynamic was too perfect and so made him Silver's mentor here but only in terms of his psychic abilities and magic. Currently, Mammoth Mogul is the only user of Chaos energy in the Sol Dimension.

OCs will be addressed when introduced but will be scarce, such as the disgruntled cabbage merchant who is based on the cabbage salesman from Avatar: The Last Airbender. We will be borrowing many elements from Sonic 06, Rush Adventure, the Archie Comics, and the IDW Comics as well.

Do feel free to suggest ideas for later chapters, but do remember that this is still our story and we have final say on what happens in it. Please be civil and calm when giving reviews or comments.

If that's everything, this is UltimateDemonBeast65 signing off! See you next time!
