A five year old Branch lay curled up under a tree root to hungry to move, he had not been able to find enough food for himself and the adults from the village were not giving him enough to eat either, he was cold, hungry, frighten and alone. Branch did not know how much longer he could stay awake, he was so tired, suddenly a twig snapped. Branch could not help but make one last sob

2. Awake

As of this chapter my OC's looks and character are still in development and will hopefully evolve as I create more chapters an/or story's. I am not a good writer but I will do the best I can to get my ideas out of my head.

Awake

Branch awoke to the sound of soft humming, finding it difficult open his eyes, but when he was able to he found himself in a large oval shaped shallow basket in a nest of blankets and pillows.

He looked to one side to see an adult female troll with bright red skin/fur with electric lime hair flowing in a low ponytail down her back, she was grinding something with a mortar and pedestal, a table next to her looked to be covered with dried herbs and other ingredients.

A sound from the other side was 3 little girl trolls all with the same blue skin/fur but with hair different shades of yellow.

The smallest looked up and came over to Branch, "Hi your finally awake you have been asleep for a long time, my name is Tarri, whats your name?"

Branch opened his mouth to answer but was only able to squeak.

Tarri gave him a small smile, "Mom sead you might louse your voice, but don't worry it will come back in time."

As they were talking the other 2 girls had come over.

"Hi My name is Lake and this is my younger sister Leith, you have already met the youngest."

the eldest one sead.

"You have been asleep for 3 days, mom and aunt Nina were starting to get worried."

Branch's eye widen, 3 day's no wonder he felt so achy,

Slowly a new face filled his vision, the red skin/fur troll was looking down at him with a bright relieved smile.

"Your finally awake, my name is Nina, I bet you must be hungry."

Branch could only nod a yes,

"I am so happy you are ok, so lets get you feed shall we?"

Nina reached into the basket that Branch had been lying in surrounded by blankets and pillows and walked over to a camping chair and sat herself down with Branch in her lap, a tall adult female troll with blue skin/fur and green hair handed him a sipy cup.

"Your to weak to use a normal cup right now."

Branch sighed and took a sip, it tasted a little sweet, he looked up at Nina, "It is only water with a little fruit juice as you need all the energy you can get."

The blue troll placed a small bowl of soup on a small table and a bib, Branch was not happy about the bib or the feeding but he understood why he needed it.

Slowly Nina fed Branch, "Let me know when you are full we don't want to put to much pressure on your tummy,"

After Branch was done Nina asked "Do you want to go back to sleep or would you like to meet the rest of the family?"

Branch nodded not wanting to sleep straight away,

"Very well," Nina turned Branch so his back was facing her front, he noticed his hair was not standing up but was flowing around his shoulders he looked up in alarm "Don't worry your hair will be back to normal once you have more energy,"

5 adult trolls stood in front of them waiting to be introduced to the newest member of the family,

"First is my most favourite sister Maya, you have already meet her 3 daughters Lake, Leith, and Tarri"

Maya was a tall blue female with green hair looking playfully annoyed as she replied "I'm your only sister,"

Nina just laughed next was a large purple male troll with long (kind of like Bruce's hair) olive hair, he had broad shoulders looking kind of like a tank not overly muscled but not overly fat ether, "This is my brother Jasper," he just gave a smile in greeting, the next troll was another large male but slightly smaller than Jasper with orange skin/fur and hunter green hair, " This is my second brother Sora."

The last 2 trolls were tall glitter trolls a little thinner than the other 2 trolls the tallest was a light gold with leaf green hair while the other slightly shorter troll was a rose gold with grass green hair. "These are the 2 youngest brothers the gold one is Rai and the rose gold is Coen,"

"nice to meet you."

Branch did not know what to think about such a large family but fatigue was starting to get to him as he snugged into Nina's chest her heart beat slowly lulling him back to sleep, last thing he remembered was being placed back into his nest with 3 little body's snuggling in next to him.
