Sick
Over time Branch felt that the only thing he could do was eat and sleep, he had trouble staying awake when Maya was teaching the girls first aid.
Time seemed to go fast as the next thing he knew a week had passed and was in a new place.
"Come on kids time to wake up."
Branch opened his eyes to see Rai above him trying to awake him and the girls who were somehow in a nest of blankets in what must have been Rai's and Coen's tent.
Lake looked up at her uncles "wear is mom?"
Rai and Coen looked at each other "Nina is really sick so your mom with Jasper and Sora are looking after her, we will be looking after the 4 of you until she is better."
"Is aunt Nina going to die?" asked Tarri
"No no she is not going to die she might feel like it thou." sead Rai as he picked up Branch as Coen grabbed Tarri, Lake and Leith were able to get out of the nest on there own.
After they had feed the children they sat outside there tent on the grass to brush the children's hair, Rai had Branch in his lap while Coen had Tarri and Lake was brushing Leith's hair,
Branch looked down at his hair that was sill flowing around his shoulders "When will my hair be able to stand up again?"
"Once your body has more energy I am sure your hair will be up in the air." Rai sead as he gently brushed Branch's hair and using one of Nina's hair ties to fasten it into a low ponytail.
A sudden movement from Nina's tent as Jasper and Sora stepped out "We are going to look for some herbs and some ginger for Nina, she is really feeling bad we should be back soon." sead Jasper as he and Sora started to walk into the forest.
"Be safe." yelled the girls as they waved back at them,
"Look how about we start by trying to get Branch up and walking again?" Coen suggested trying to change the sad mood.
Branch was exited "Yes please I want to get moving again."
"But only for a short time, Nina would grind our glitter if we ended up pushing your recovery back." was Rai's response.
Rai and Coen both got up on there knees as Rai stood Branch up on his feet, Branch wobbled a bit his legs weaker then he thought they were, Lake and Leith stood next to him just in case he needed their help, slowly Branch took a step his knees shaking trying to not fall, just as he thought he might hit the ground Lake and Leith each grabbed a arm and helped him walk over to Coen.
"Great job Branch," Rai cheered,
"But I needed help."
"That is not a bad thing."
"It's not?"
"Why would it be as there is nothing wrong in relying on family,"
"But I'm not part of your family."
"You might as well be, I thing Nina is more than happy to be your mother, as are the rest of us,"
"Really?"
"Really, how about we practise some more then take a nap?"
Branch felt warm as his now uncles helped him walk some more, along with the assistance of his now cousins, wow that was a new feeling as he had never had uncles, aunts or cousins before.
