"You can't roast grapes, Knuckles. They're not s'mores." Sonic pointed oht.
"Grapes are delicious hedgehog. More than s'mores." Knuckles told him.
They along with Tails, Tom and Maddie were camping in the woods and were sitting aroubd a roaring campfire and were roasting marshmallows only Tom and Maddie were surprised that Knuckles was roasting grapes making them smirk knowingguessed he thought he could make grape smores that the echidna male loved grapes and thought he could make grape smores which made Sonic weirded out.
"Guys it's okay, as Knuckles loves grapes. We're surprised that Maria and Shadow didn't want to come." Tom said. "Shadow was anxious about Maria getting hurt." Sonic told him.
"That makes sense, guys as he cares about her, Sonic." Tails piubted out to him.
Only hearing the hooting of owls made Sonic calm because of Longclaw but Knuckles was anxious about this, because of the past which Wade knew aboht but hadn't told Tom and Maddie or Sonic but was tossing and turning in his sleeping bag.
"Geez, Knuckles you look exhausted. Didn't you sleep well." Maddie asked
"Sort of. The giant owls kept me up." Knuckles admitted to her.
Sonic knew that Knuckles wasn't a fan of owls but he didn't get it as they were having breakfast, but shrugged his shoulders as they were cleaning up before leaving, but in the car, Knuckles had fallen asleep making Sonic and Tails chuckle at this along with Tom and Maddie guessing they'd had to ask Wade about the owl thing and why Knuckles was afraid of them makingvSonic unsure hoping nothing had happened in Green Hills while they'd been out of town.
"I think everything's okay guys. Wade and the others were keeping things calm." Tom said from the driver's seat.
"That's good, as he's getting more brave. I guess whatever Knuckles taught him is working." Tails said.
After they got home, they were unpacking their camping stuff and putting their things away, seeing Knuckles still tired deciding to leave him be knowing that grapes might help him out knowing Maddie was going to the store to get supplies.
