"Knuckles just chill, as it's a giant owl egg and it needs our help. Longclaw helped me when I was lil." Sonic said. Shadow was curious about what Sonic had just said as he and Sonic had foubd a giant owl egg in the woods only Knuckles looked freaked at it.
"What do you want to do Sonic." he asked.
"We should take care of it Shads, and when it hatches, we'll figure out what to do." Sonic told him.
Shadow agreed as it was a good idea curious, aboht what Sonic had said about Longclaw, as he, along with Knuckles and Tails were helping get the egg home, putting it in the garage as they made an nest for it but using an incubator to keep it warm seeing Knuckles leave the garage but Sonic was quiet feeling Shadow squeeze his hand asking about Longclaw making Sonic sigh.
"Longclaw adoptted me as a baby and raised me. Then we were attacked by the echidnas and I lost her like you with
Maria until I met Tom and Maddie and we became a family which is why I wanna take care of this egg." Sonic explained.
Shadow understood, but found it sweet that Sonic was wanting to care for this egg, even though Knuckles hadconcerns making Sonic shrug as they left too seeing him leaving guessinf he was returning to Maria hoping Tom and Maddie wouldn't be too mad, he'd brought a giant owl egg home leaving for now but would return later.
"Sonic, why's there a giant egg in the garage. It didn't come from space, right as GUN will be curious." Sonic heard Tom ask.
"No Shads and I found it in the woods, and it's related to Longclaw. I couldn't leave it alone." Sonic said.
Tom got this knowing about Longclaw because Sonic had told him about her after they'd first met him seeing Maddie helping by using her vet stuff. She was very excited there was a giant owl in the egg hoping the baby would be okay after it hatched making Sonic agreeing seeing Tails helping out t but Knuckles was keeping his distance ecause of his past involving the giant owls which Sonic didn't know Somic curious about why Knuckles was afraid, which Tom thought a good idea.
"Hey Knuckles can I ask you something." Sonic asked the echidna male. "It involves the thing in the garage." Knuckles said.
"Why're you afraid. Did something happen involving the giant owls." Sonic asked him.
"If I tell you, you'll be upset as you love them because of Longclaw." Knuckles said.
"The giant owls… killed my tribe including my father, that's why." Knuckles said. Sonic was quiet and then hugged him stunning Knuckles guessing he felt bad. "Sorry that happened to you. That's what you meant by saying you lost everything." Sonic told him
"Yes that's what I meant. But maybe the one in that egg, we can teach it our tribe's ways." Knuckles said.
"That's true Knuckles, and you've given us a good idea." Sonic told him.
