Ever since Will's death, she's been terrified of darkness but after seeing the place where Will was shot and killed, she can't help but be afraid.
Can't help being afraid when she thinks of Will's last moments on earth.
Was he scared when he started dying?
Did he think of her?
Did he forgive her for betraying him?
Did he know that darkness was coming for him?
She knows that sleeping is nothing like death but darkness covers her at night and she can see him, so maybe for right now, darkness isn't a thing to be afraid of.
