Chapter 2
Security Station
"What's with that reaction?" Fader asked, as Ben mentally raged that someone should kill him
"Her!" Ben said referring to the Sector Security Chief, Mikage.
"You like her?" Fader asked confused
"That's not what I'm talking about. That woman has been the cause of most of my PTSD in dueling. I could duel literally anyone in Tag Force without issue, but her. She scares me as almost every duel I've had against her always puts me on edge." Ben said
"Well I think she's hot." Fader said
"Dude! You're like every intrusive thought put together. Besides she runs Light Sworn Deck most of the time." Ben said
Just as he finished mentioning Light Sworn, Ben could feel most of his Dark World spirit give off what you could call "Killer Intent".
"I take it you guys don't like Light Sworns?" Ben asked clearly feeling his Duel Spirits rage
"We do not get along, at all." Grapha replied
"Well, one of the main reason for me going Dark World was because of her and honestly my Deck win ratio has never been higher, so I'm slightly confident we can beat her in a Duel if it ever comes to that." Ben said
"So this is the kid huh?" Tetsu Ushio asked, having finished talking with Misty along side Mikage.
"Yes, he has amnesia and can't remember most of his past." Misty said causing Mikage to raise a brow
"But you remember your name?" Mikage asked watching him careful
"That's the short version I guess." Ben answered
"Okay, we'll see what we can find about him, just wait for us by the counter." Mikage told Misty and Ben as she left with Tetsu
A few Moments later
After waiting for about 20 minutes, a Sector Security officer came to Misty and Ben, escorting them into the stations interrogation room. With officer Tetsu and Mikage sitting across them, Misty decided to go straight to the point.
"So did you find out anything about him?" Misty asked
"I'm afraid not. Like there's no record about him from New Domino or even Satellite. No duel record what so ever." Mikage said causing Misty eyes to widen
"How is that possible?" Misty asked
"We don't know, but I have a suspicion that he's from Satellite." Tetsu said glaring at Ben
"What's a Satellite?" Ben asked innocently
"I never knew you were such a good actor Boss." Fader said
"Not now Fader."
"Satellite is a city filled with most scums of the Earth." Tetsu said in disgust
"That sounded racist." Ben deadpanned
"So you admit you're from Satellite eh?" Tetsu said
"Easy there Tetsu, that's not what he said." Mikage said calming him down
"So what now?" Misty asked
"Well, we can put him in a cell until we're certain he isn't from Satellite." Tetsu said causing Ben to glare daggers at him
"Or, we find someone to take him in. For the meantime that is." Mikage said
This caused Misty think for a moment before speaking.
"I'll take him in." Misty said
"Miss Misty you don't have to-" Tetsu tried to say but was cut off
"It's the least I can do for almost killing him with my car." Misty said
Turning to Ben, Mikage asked "Are you okay with this?"
"Well it's better than sleeping in a cell." Ben answered
"Well then that settles it." Mikage said standing up.
Outside the Station
Walking out of the Station, Mikage and Misty were busy talking while Ben and Tetsu were tailing them silently or in Tetsu's case glaring at Ben from the corner of his eye, an act that didn't go unnoticed by the teen.
"What's his problem?" Fader asked
"Since this is probably the early parts of the series, he still hates people from Satellite. So if I had to guess he thinks I'm from Satellite." Ben told Fader
"So, it's possible to create an ID for him?" Misty asked Mikage
"We would basically be creating a new identity for him, so it would take at least week to finish the paperwork." Mikage said
"Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it." Misty said
"Hey kid." Tetsu said causing Ben to face him "You're lucky Miss Misty decided to help you. If it was up to me, you would be in jail." Tetsu said
"Seriously, what would it take to get on your good side?" Ben asked him getting tired of his attitude
"Don't be from Satellite." Tetsu said after a while
"What if I beat you in a Duel?" Ben said causing everyone to turn to him
"Really, do you even have a Runner?" Tetsu said with a laugh
"You do know we can Duel normally right?" Ben asked with a bored expression on his face
"Fine then, your funeral." Tetsu said giving Ben some distance so they can start their Duel
"Well this should be interesting." Mikage said while Misty just stayed silent, slightly curious to see how Ben Duels.
"Let's make this interesting kid. If you win I'll get you a Duel Runner." Tetsu said activating his Duel disk
"Add driving lessons to that since I don't know how to drive. And a drivers license." Ben said activating his Disk as well
"Fine by me. Now let's get this Duel started." Tetsu said
Tetsu: 4000
Ben: 4000
"Since you challenged me I'll be starting first. I Draw." Tetsu said drawing a card "I'll start by summoning Stygian Street Patrol in attack mode." He said summoning a monster on a motorcycle.
Stygian S.P (1600Atk/1200Def/Lvl 4/Dark/Fiend)
"I'll set two cards face down and end my turn." Tetsu said
"Seems Tetsu isn't holding back." Mikage said from the sideline
Turn: 2
"Guess it's my turn." Ben said calmly. "I'll Draw."
"Not so fast. I activate my trap card, Drop Off, which forces you to discard the card you just drew." Tetsu said
"Seriously?" Ben asked
"What do you me by that? Discard your card already." Tetsu said
"Your funeral." Ben shrugged discarding the card he drew. "With that my monster's effect activates."
"Wait what?" Tetsu asked shocked
"The card I drew was Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World. When he is discarded from my hand by a card effect I can special summon him to the field, but since it was your trap effect that discarded it, it gains a second effect." Ben said
"Which is?" Tetsu asked not liking the sound of that
"Once I Special summon him, I can target two cards on your side of the field and destroy them. And I'll be targeting your face down card along with Stygian." Ben finished causing everyone watching the Duel to widen their eyes. As the match started some Sector Security Officers had stepped out to witness the Duel as well.
Just then the Golden Dark World Lord appeared on the field with a giant battle axe. Striking his axe on the ground he summoned various bolts of lightning that destroyed Tetsu monster and facedown card.
"Call of Haunted." Ben said looking at the card that was destroyed. "I now activate the spell card, Dark World Dealings. This let's us both draw one card but we then discard one card to the graveyard."
Doing so both Duelist drew a card while sending one to the graveyard.
"With that I activate Sillva, Warlord of Dark World effect, which let's me Special summon him to the field when he is discarded." Ben said as the Silver monster with a giant Dagger appeared.

Looking at his handy work, Ben couldn't help but admire seeing his monsters in all their glory, looking real
"Oi, Ccapac. If I were to activate my Signer power which causes a Dark flaming field that serves as a field spell, can I still active my normal field spell?" Ben asked the Spirit
"You can." Was Ccapac simple answer
"Nice. Now then Goldd, Sillva, attack his life points directly." Ben said as both monsters attacked Tetsu directly reducing his Life points to zero.
Tetsu:0
Ben: 4000
Tetsu and the rest of Sector Security could only stand there shocked at what just occurred as Ben deactivated his Duel Disk.
Walking up to his opponent, Ben held his hand out to him. Shaking away his shock, Tetsu took his hand shaking him.
"Guess I owe you a new Duel Runner and an apology kid." Tetsu said
"Hey no pressure. As long as I ain't on your bad side anymore." Ben said smiling slightly
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Tetsu said letting go of his hand
"That was amazing, where did you learn to Duel like that?" Mikage asked as she and Misty approached them
"I don't know. I guess it just came naturally." Ben said
"Still, that was an impressive Duel." Misty said
"You know, skill like that can earn you a job at Sector Security, if you're up for it." Mikage said shocking Tetsu and Misty. Ben on the other hand seemed lost in his thoughts
"That would be nice." Ben finally said
"Well then, I'll see what I can do after we're done creating an identity for you." Mikage said
"Well, I guess it's time for us to take our leave. Thank you for your help Mikage." Misty said as she and Ben left.
Misty's Car
Having been driving in silence, Ben decided to start up a conversation.
"Eh, Ma'am." Ben said getting Misty to laugh at how he chose to address her
"It's Misty. Misty Lola seeing as I haven't properly introduced myself to you. Plus I'm not that Old." She said
"Sorry. So Misty, I just wanted to thank you for your help, since I didn't really get the chance to do that at the station." Ben said
"There's no need to thank me. Besides it's the list I can do for almost killing you." Misty said
"For the last time, I'm fine. I wasn't even injured." Ben said with a sign
"It doesn't change the fact that I ran into you. You can just consider this as compensation for my trouble." She said signalling the end of their conversation.
Misty Home/Mansion
"Well, I'm officially Whelmed." Ben said as he followed Misty into the Hallway of her apartment.
"Miss Misty, you're back? Are you all right?" Kate, Misty's receptionist said as she saw her.
"I'm fine Kate." Misty said
"I'm sorry for the loss of your brother." Kate said
"I'm still recovering, but thank you for your concern Kate." Misty said with a weak smile
Turning to face Ben Kate asked "Who is this Miss Misty?"
"This is Ben. He will me staying with me from now on." Misty said introducing Kate
"Ben, this is my receptionist Kate. Please don't hesitate to ask her anything." She said
"Hi." Ben said
"Hi." Kate replied awkwardly
"I'll see you tomorrow Kate." Misty said leading Ben into her apartment
The inside was massive with various expensive furniture and a Piano, which caught Ben's attention.
"Come let me show you to the guest room." Misty said to Ben
"Before that, I sorry for your brother's lose. I couldn't help but notice Kate mention it. I take it that was why you drove with bags under your eyes yesterday. Sorry for sticking my nose into it." Ben added quickly
"It's fine, though I don't feel like talking about it. Maybe later, at a better time." Misty said, causing Ben to nod as he followed her to the guest room.
"This will be your room as you live here. Please make yourself at home and don't hesitate to ask me or Kate for help concerning anything." She said
"Thank you again." Ben said with a low bow
"I'll be in my room if you need anything. It's the last room down this Hall." Misty said walking away as Ben entered his room shutting the door behind him.
Stepping into the room he sees a King size bed, wardrobe full of clothes and a TV. Not wasting anytime he fell face down on the bed hoping to drift into dream world before he was interrupted.
"She's here." was the only warning Ccapac gave Ben as he got up quickly, turning around to face none other than
Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua staring down at him.
"Dark Signer, why are you not going after the Signers?" Ccarayhua asked
"Because I don't plan on destroying them." Ben said watching the Reptile
"Interesting, you possess the Mark of a Dark Signer yet you are not influenced by the Darkness." Ccarayhua said observing Ben
"Why are you here?" Ben asked but he already knew the answer. He just needed to play his cards right (Pun intended)
"I came for the woman but it would seem your appearance at the Cliff prevented her demise. So I am merely following her waiting for the moment she falls." Ccarayhua said
"Can't you find another Signer?" Ben asked
"She is the only one I believe can handle my power." She said
"What if I took her place." This caused Ccarayhua to pause, staring at the Boy. Even Ccapac decided to materialize behind him at his statement.
"You are already a Signer Boy. What makes you think you can handle the power of two Earthbounds? Ccarayhua asked
"What makes you think I can't? You said it yourself, I'm not affected by the Darkness. Besides I've seen the Signers combine their marks to empower one individual, so in theory it should be possible." Ben said causing the Earthbounds to contemplate his words.
"A Dark Signer with the power of two Earthbounds. This has never been done, yet the prospect of the power you would gain. An ordinary Signer would be powerless against you. What do you think Ccarayhua?" Ccapac asked his counterpart
"I am just as curious as you concerning this revelation, still…Very well Human, I will make you my Signer." Ccarayhua said as another Signer tattoo started to form on Ben's left shoulder, causing him to grit his teeth at the pain before it ended. Turning into a card, Ccarayhua landed on his hand.
"Well done Boy, you survived the process. Now we're are closer to the destruction of the Singers." Ccapac said
"For the last, I'm not going to become an enemy to the Signers." Ben said looking at Ccarayhua in his hand
"As you wish." Ccapac said
"Ccapac, if I were to gift Ccarayhua to another duelist, one that isn't a Dark Signer. Would it affect them?" Ben asked
"No. Only the chosen Signer can use the power of an Earthbound. I would merely be a regular card in the hands of another." Ccarayhua answered
"Good. Though I don't plan to add you to my main Deck unless during an emergency. Hope you don't mind?" Ben asked
"That is for the best as two Earthbounds cannot be on the field together." Ccarayhua said
"Well then, with that out of the way, I'll be of to bed. Fader, wake me up by 6." Ben said laying down
"You got it Boss." Fader said as Ben started to drift into Dreamland.
