Loud house reaction to Pokémon legend.

Greetings everyone, I had this thought on how the characters from the loud house and casagrandes would react to what it would be like if Pokémon was in their lives. And yes, the louds will get scolded for a while for their actions especially Lori, Lynn, and Lola.

Episode 10

A Shiny Swarm Attack

"I wonder what swarm its talking about," Lincoln said."

During the progress report, in the viridian forest, late afternoon,

the two trainers were busily navigating their way through the viridian forest, hoping to get out before dark.

"Ok, from what the map shows, this is the quickest path through the forest," Lincoln commented looking at the map."

"Just the sooner we're out of here and away from all the creepy bug Pokémon, the better," misty replied sticking close to Lincoln."

"She's sticking a little close to him," Ronnie Anne said while hiding her jealous face."

"Yeah, she is," Lori said."

"I would love to catch a bug type Pokémon, because you never know what type of Pokémon the gym leader would use, Ren told me last night that bug types are easy to train anyway," Lincoln said."

"He's got a point, it can't hurt to have one just in case," CJ said."

"Yeah," Carl said."

Just then, a rustling was heard from the bushes.

"Eek! is that a bug?!" misty asked as she immediately leaped onto Lincoln."

From the bushes crawled a yellow caterpillar with a dale, pink nose and feet, and a stinger on the top of its head. the oddest thing was that it was that when it appeared, it sparkled.

"What are you?" Lincoln questioned pulling out his pokedex, and pointing it at the bug Pokémon."

"Yeah, they look cool," Lana said."

"And can she get off him already?" Ronnie Anne asked still hiding her jealousy."

"Weedle, the hairy bug Pokémon, a bug and poison type. it's often found in forest and grasslands. it has a small, yet toxic stinger on the top of its head that's about 2 inches long. this weedle is male and knows the moves poison sting and string shot, the pokedex said."

Lincoln was perplexed, because the weedle displayed in the pokedex was a different color than the one they just encountered. he then remembered something.

"Dang it I forgot to ask Ren about his Eevee back in viridian city after dealing with team rocket," Lincoln said while smacking his forehead."

"Oh yeah, it was a different color too," Leni said."

"You mean a shiny Pokémon? misty asked."

"What do you mean, shiny? Lincoln asked."

"Shiny?" Lola asked."

"Well, you see, Lincoln, it's extremely rare, but some Pokémon, like weedle, appear in a different color than they normally would. this is what is referred to as a shiny Pokémon," misty replied while hiding behind Lincoln."

"Really? are shiny Pokémon better than the regular ones?" Lincoln asked."

"Like I said they're difficult to find, so finding one is considered really lucky. not only that, but when they enter battle from a pokeball, they always sparkle," misty replied."

"Wow, that's really cool. then I can catch this one, Lincoln said."

"That does sound lucky," Luan said."

"I'll say, and I bet I'll find more," Lincoln said."

"I recommend not to because bugs are creepy, crawly, and ugly," misty said."

"That's rude," Lana said."

"Yeah, not all bugs are like that," Darcy said."

"poliwag let's go!" Lincoln said sending out poliwag."

"Good call since he's still a rookie, a battle would be good practice for him," Pikachu said."

"That's the idea. poliwag, can I count on you in battling that weedle?" Lincoln asked."

"Of course, Mr. Lincoln! you can count on me!" poliwag replied waddling forward to face weedle, who was heading over to a bush to eat some leaves."

"I agree with Lincoln, it'll be good training for him," Chloe said."

"Alright, let's give water gun a try!" Lincoln instructed."

"Ok! poliwag replied as he fired off water gun at the weedle, striking it away."

"Why you...I don't take kindly to people or Pokémon who interrupts me when I'm eating!" weedle said as he began firing a barrage of purple needle like object at poliwag."

"Quick, dodge it!" Lincoln instructed."

Poliwag propelled itself up with water gun, dodging the poison sting.

"Smart move," Lynn said."

"Great, now use water gun again!" Lincoln instructed."

Poliwag fired off water gun again, this time missing it mark.

"Uh, was that meant for me?" the weedle asked."

"Sorry it's my first actual battle, and I'm not very good at aiming," poliwag replied."

"Hmm, that'll be something we'll work on, Lincoln observed."

"Yeah, he needs to practice that," Lance said."

"Well, no matter take this, string shot!" weedle said as it fired off a stream of sticky string at poliwag, causing the tadpole Pokémon's movement slowed down."

"Eww, this stuff is all sticky and gross!" poliwag complained."

"It's obviously gross," Lola gagged."

The girls were grossed out as well.

"What was that move?" Lincoln wondered consulting his pokedex."

"String shot, a bug type move that utilizes a stream of sticky thread to reduce an opponent's speed stat," the pokedex explained."

"That's a useful move," Shane said."

"Easy to slow down the opponent," Shelby said."

"Tsk, we have to break free somehow!" Lincoln exclaimed."

"Strike while the iron is hot, as some humans would always say, poison sting!" weedle exclaimed firing poison sting the move hits poliwag, but was able to free the tadpole Pokémon from the threads."

"Poliwag, are you ok? Lincoln asked."

"Yeah, I'll be fine, but that attack still hurt. thankfully I didn't get poisoned, poliwag replied."

"Welp, it helped free Poliwag," Mollie said."

"That's good, but for now, we should try to change up our tactics," Lincoln said."

Then he got an idea, regarding one of poliwag's attacks.

"This may work! poliwag use hypnosis!" Lincoln called out."

"Ok here goes nothing!" poliwag exclaimed as the spiral pattern on its belly began to glow, emitting a strange light that weedle looked into."

"W-what's going on? strength...leaving...feeing...sleepy," weedle said as it fell asleep."

"The power of hypnosis," Lucy said."

"I agree," Persephone said."

"Alright, now go pokeball!" Lincoln said tossing his pokeball at the sleeping bug type, sucking it into the spherical device."

The pokeball began to wobble. it wobbled, and wobbled, before a clicking noise was heard.

"Alright, I got weedle!" Lincoln said retrieving his pokeball."

"Alright!" Lana cheered."

Her friends and Skippy cheered as well.

"I did good, Mr. Lincoln? poliwag asked."

"Indeed, you did. though we'll be working on improving your aim, from what I've seen during your battle," Lincoln replied petting the tadpole Pokémon," now, what do we do about our sleeping weedle?"

"There's a full heal in your bag. you can use it to treat its sleep status," Pikachu said pulling out a completely yellow spray battle out of Lincoln's bag."

"Thanks buddy," Lincoln replied as he sent out the sleeping weedle again."

true to what he was told, weedle sparkled as it materialized.

"So that's what maked them sparkle," Lola said."

"That looks amazing," Roxanne said."

"Whoa, so that's what misty meant by sparkle," Lincoln said."

"Yup, shiny Pokémon are some of the best, though some color schemes I wonder about," misty replied as Lincoln sprayed weedle with the full heal."

In an instant, weedle was fully awake.

"Ugh, what happened? weedle asked."

"You're part of the team now, weedle, Lincoln said."

"Part of your team?" the bug Pokémon asked curiously getting a nod in response." well I guess it can't be helped. but may I ask a favor?"

"What kind of favor?" Lincoln asked."

"You see, I have a fellow weedle and two caterpie friends who both want to explore different regions. we've heard from passing trainers about something called wonder trading, which can send a Pokémon to anywhere else in the world," weedle replied."

"Hmm, sounds interesting, but if I do agree to this wonder trade thing, what's in it for me?" Lincoln asked."

"Part of what we heard from those passing trainers is that in exchange for a Pokémon you send, you can get a Pokémon in return," weedle replied."

"Sounds like a good deal," Carl said."

"I see. well, if you can convince your friends to come along for the ride, I'd be more than glad to wonder trade them away," Lincoln said."

"Great! you won't regret this!" weedle promised."

Nearby, misty was watching Lincoln have a conversation with his newly caught Pokémon with curiosity.

'Can he understand Pokémon now, this guy is a mystery, maybe I'll ask him once we're out of the forest and at the Pokémon center,' misty thought.'

"He's always been a mystery," Luan said."

Everyone snickers as Lincoln rolls his eyes.

"Alright so where can we find your friends?" Lincoln asked."

"They're in a grove up the way. I can lead us there," weedle replied."

Lincoln nodded and recalled poliwag.

"You did great for your first battle, poliwag, take a break for a while," Lincoln said before turning to misty." ok misty, slight change of plans. this weedle has friends that want to see the world through something called wonder trading, so he's leading us to a grove a little ways up."

"I'd prefer to leave this place as possible, so let's make this quick," misty pleaded while Lincoln rolled his eyes."

"Alright, lead the way, weedle," Lincoln said as they followed the bug Pokémon."

Nearby, a certain trio was watching them.

"Oh great, it's the losers with the hero motto," Fiona said sarcastically."

"So, that twerp managed to catch a shiny Pokémon already? how interesting," jessie commented."

"I can't believe the boss is having us spy on the twerp! and all because he felt the need to play hero and stop our heist," James complained."

Flashback

Jessie, James, and meowth were kneeling in front of a T.V. screen with a mysterious man dressed in black with the team rocket symbol on his right shirt.

"That must be the boss," Lynn sr. said." except we can't see his face."

"It's a classic Lynnie, the main boss always hides his face until the end," Lance said."

"Let me get this straight, you let a rookie trainer outsmart you?" the voice asked."

"Well, he's also an outsider sir named Lincoln, James commented."

"SILENCE!" the voice yelled." you three are a real disappointment, losing to a rookie of all things."

"Ha, getting beaten by a rookie is really embarrassing," Lynn said."

"Sir, if you give us another chance, we'll beat him for sure, meowth pleaded."

"No, you three failed at every mission given to you, now I'll give you one last chance, I want you to follow that boy and monitor him and report back," the voice said."

"What?!" jessie yelled," tailing that twerp my talents will be wasted."

"We're on it sir, we'll get it done," meowth said making jessie and James bow."

"Good, because if you fail again there'll be consequences is that clear?" the voice asked."

"Yes sir, we'll get it done," meowth said turning off the T.V."

"Hmm, this Lincoln kid looks like a real rocket candidate, maybe I should meet him," said the voice grinning."

"Her only talent is why she's keeping that hair style," Leni said."

"But I literally have a bad feeling about that boss," Lori said worried."

flashback ends

"Quit yer whining! orders are orders, even if we don't like them!" meowth stated."

"Meowth is right. if we do a good job, we might be able to get back on the boss's good side," Jessie said."

"Alright but what do you think of this wonder trade thing that he mentioned? perhaps it should be something to look into," James suggested."

"Hmm, it would be smart to bolster our ranks as much as we can. we can spy on the twerp while we catch some more Pokémon," jessie said as they got up, and continued to follow the duo from the shadows."

it didn't take long for weedle to lead the two trainers to a clearing in the forest.

"Well, we're here! weedle said."

"Beautiful place," Frida said as she took a picture."

"Ok, so where do we find your friends?" Lincoln asked."

Weedle then noticed something was off.

"That's weird, usually they're climbing the trees or chowing down leaves. on that note, there should be a lot more weedle and caterpie around here," weedle replied not seeing anyone else."

"Maybe they moved to a different place," Lincoln wondered."

"No, something's definitely wrong," weedle replied."

"I agree, something is off," Carl said putting on his detective hat."

"Is that a thing? Lincoln asked."

"Pretty much," Carlota replied."

Just then, a Pokémon that looked like a larger version of pidgey landed nearby. one thing Lincoln noticed that was different about it was that there was a red plumage on the top of its head.

"What's that?" Stella asked." it looked like a bigger Pidgey."

"A pidgeotto!" misty said."

"Weird, I haven't seen that particular species in the forest before," Pikachu said."

"So that's a pidgeotto?" Lincoln asked pointing his pokedex at the bird Pokémon."

"Pidgeotto, the bird pokemon, a normal and flying type, and the evolved form of pidgey. pidgeotto are very territorial and will claim a large area as its own. it doesn't hesitate to punish and all intruders with its sharp claws. this female pidgeotto knows the move gust, whirlwind, sand attack, tackle, and quick attack," the pokedex said."

"So, it takes a turf as its own?" Rita asked."

"Pretty much," Lynn sr. replied."

It was then pidgeotto noticed the duo, glaring at them.

"Hey! who do you think you are, barging into my turf like this?!" the pidgeotto asked taking a fighting stance."

"Oh boy, that thing does not look too friendly," misty said."

"Gee, ya think," Ronnie Anne said."

"Gee ya think, she's pretty mad that we're invading her territory," Lincoln said."

"Great minds think alike," Kara said."

"But this is where my friends and I all gather to have fun and eat leaves!" weedle exclaimed."

"More than likely, this pidgeotto must've chased them all away when it took this area for herself," Lincoln said."

"Looks like it," Albert said."

"Damn right I did! they were all easy pickings for someone as badass as me!" pidgeotto boasted."

"Why you...!" weedle growled getting ready to battle, only to be stopped by Lincoln."

"Hold on weedle. I know you want to get even with pidgeotto, but being a bug type, you're at a disadvantage. that and she's almost double your strength," Lincoln said."

"He's got a point," Laird said."

"Well, yeah, but this place is special to me and my friends!" weedle said."

"I know, but for now, until we get you in some more battle experience, why don't you sit this one out," Lincoln suggested."

"Well, ok," weedle conceded."

"Thanks. plus, I have a Pokémon on my team that can probably teach pidgeotto a lesson, and match her in terms of mobility," Lincoln said pulling out his pokeball." alright, fearow, let's do this!"

He sends out his fearow.

"I heard everything inside the ball. I'm guessing you want me to teach this sassy child over there some manners?" fearow asked pointing to pidgeotto."

"She does need discipline," Margo said."

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A CHILD, GRANDMA!?" pidgeotto yelled only to be ignored."

"Yes, think you can do it?" Lincoln asked."

"She doesn't look like a grandma," Luna said."

"Naturally," fearow replied going over to confront pidgeotto." alright, seeing as how you're causing trouble for others, I have been tasked with taking you down. hopefully, smacking you around will your ego down to size."

"As if! the only one of us who's getting the smackdown of a lifetime is you, longneck!" Pidgeotto declared."

"Yeah, that bird has a big ego," Lynn said."

"Just like you Lynn," Lincoln said."

Lynn couldn't think of a comeback.

"Alright fearow, use furry attack!" Lincoln instructed."

"With pleasure," fearow replied as she went on the attack, rapidly trying to peck pidgeotto, but with no success."

"Ha! too slow!" pidgeotto taunted."

"I guess being smaller has its perks," Lisa said."

this seemed to provoke fearow, as she began to once again use fury attack, hoping to strike a hit, only to miss each time.

"Fearow, try to calm down! don't let her words get to you!" Lincoln called out only to go unheard by his flying Pokémon who continued to try and land a hit."

"Ok, now this is starting to get boring. quick attack!" pidgeotto said slamming into fearow at blinding speeds, sending her into the ground."

The two trainers, Pikachu and weedle all gaped at what they had just witnessed.

"Whoa, I've never seen a quick attack that fast before!" misty said."

"She's right! that pidgeotto must have some crazy speed to pull that off!" weedle added."

"I wonder how fast she can really go," Margo said."

"I agree with them, my own quick attack looks way to slow in comparison," Pikachu said."

"Ha! looks like I've impressed your friends with my awesome battling skills! aw yeah, that's what I'm talking about!" pidgeotto boasted doing a victory dance, only to get blindsided by fearow's arial ace." ow! what the hell was that for?!"

"For being arrogant," Paula said."

"You have yourself to blame for letting your guard down. I simply took advantage of the opening you were so kind enough to give me," fearow smirked."

"Nicely done, fearow! keep up the pressure!" Lincoln called out."

"Will do, Lincoln!" fearow replied."

"How cute that your twiggy trainer down there actually has faith in you," pidgeotto taunted."

"Twiggy! he's no twiggy!" Myrtle said."

"At least fearow has someone who has in her! I bet that attitude of yours is what keeps others away from the likes of you!" Lincoln declared."

"Well said and thanks for having faith in me. it means a lot to me," fearow said to her trainer."

"No problem. now then, let's use arial ace once more!" Lincoln instructed."

"Yeah, teach her a lesson!" Lynn said."

Fearow once again used arial ace to land a direct hit on pidgeotto.

"Grr, I hate it when my opponents get lucky shots like that! but no more! time for my special, secret attack! eat this, sand attack!" pidgeotto said."

"Sand attack?" Casey asked."

"Sand what now?" fearow questioned as pidgeotto flapped her wings to kick up a cloud of sand, causing fearow to get blinded by the sand in her eyes." (cough) oh come on! not this cough again! I really regret not having cough keen eye! oh god, I think some got in my mouth!"

"Not another accuracy affecting opponent!" Lincoln groaned."

"Hard to believe that move has that effect," Nikki said."

"Check fearows moves!" Pikachu advised," you can use your pokedex to advise you on what move to use next!"

"Right!" Lincoln said pulling out his pokedex." is there a counter for sand attack? preferably among fearow's move pool?"

"Searching results. one moment, please," the pokedex said."

within seconds the pokedex beeped.

"Search successful, one item: mirror move, a flying type, status move that allows the user to user the same move the opponent just used." the pokedex said."

"That definitely works," Sameer said."

"Huh, that could work," Lincoln commented turning to the sand cloud." Fearow, can hear me in there?"

"Yes, but barely!" Fearow's replied."

"I have a plan to turn pidgeotto's attack against her! use mirror move!" Lincoln called out."

"Mirror move? that would mean...," Fearow said until she figured what Lincoln was thinking."

fearow then began to glow in a silverly, almost a mirror like aura, which caused another sand attack cloud, this time aimed at pidgeotto.

(cough) "No fair! that's my special, secret attack!" pidgeotto snapped being blinded by the sand herself."

"You reap what you sow!" fearow countered."

"Indeed, you do," Lucy said."

"Shut your beak, you overgrown piece of shit!" pidgeotto snapped."

Everyone gasps.

"Such language!" Gale said."

"She needs some soap for that beak," Rosa said."

"I'm assuming the two of them really don't like each other?" misty asked."

"Yeah, pidgeotto seems to have a potty mouth on her which is a direct contrast to fearow's wise disposition," Lincoln replied."

"A real potty mouth," Gavin said."

"Well, in any case, it would be wise to finish her off," Pikachu suggested."

"Way ahead of buddy, fearow, use arial ace, once more!" Lincoln instructed."

"You got it! fearow replied as she unleashed arial ace, once again."

since pidgeotto wasn't able to see clearly, she wasn't able to dodge, as fearow slammed into her, which sent her crashing into the ground hard.

"Ouch, that had to hurt," misty commented."

"Literally," Lori said."

"Yeah, Lincoln said as fearow landed right beside him." nicely done, fearow!"

"Thank you, Lincoln. so, what are we going to do with her? make her part of the team? cause if we do, we'll need to do something about her filthy mouth," fearow said shooting a dirty glare towards the unconscious bird Pokémon."

"I don't see why I need to catch her, I've already got a flying type Pokémon on my team," Lincoln replied."

fearow beamed proudly at the compliment.

"That's true, why would he need another flying type?" Stella said."

"Hold on a sec!" pidgeotto said as she regained consciousness." it's bad enough that you trespassed on MY territory, and that you beat me in battle, but to go and claim that longneck is the greatest flying type?! there's only one flying type that deserves that title, and that's me!"

Everyone was surprised seeing Pidgeotto getting back up.

"You're up and around already?" Lincoln asked surprised at how quickly pidgeotto regained consciousness."

"You're damn well right I am! and I refuse to allow you make a claim like that! I'm the best, not her!" pidgeotto replied."

"That's what your ticked off about? the fact that my trainer gave me a compliment he thinks that I deserve after a hard battle?" fearow asked."

"That compliment should go to me! I'm the undefeated champion of the part of the forest for an entire year!" pidgeotto replied."

"Sheesh, ego much," Dana said."

"Considering that the only thing in this area are bug type Pokémon, that kind of accomplishment isn't all what it's cracked up to be, no offence weedle," Pikachu said."

"None taken," weedle replied."

"No one asked for your input, rat! her win was a fluke!" pidgeotto snapped."

'A quick temper, over inflated ego, and a sore loser to boot? she's just like Lynn but in bird form,' Lincoln thought as he got between the two Pokémon.' "Alright, break it up you two!"

"Come on, my egos aren't that bad," Lynn said."

Everyone deadpans her.

"Ok, maybe it is," Lynn said."

Pikachu acknowledged his trainer by dashing over him, while pidgeotto glared at the white hair boy.

"Look, we really had no intention or knowledge that you had claimed this area as territory. so, here's what I'm proposing - you let us pass through to pewter city, and you won't have to worry about us trespassing on your turf again. that sound fair?" Lincoln asked."

"What? you think you can just walk into my territory, have that overgrown chicken claim a fluke win over me in battle, and expect to walk away?! and you're not even going to catch me?!" pidgeotto snapped."

"Like I said, I have fearow, she's already a dependable battler," Lincoln replied."

fearow shot a smirk looking towards pidgeotto.

"Seriously, she sounds desperate," Margo said."

"Fine - just go! the sooner you're out of here the better!" pidgeotto said."

"Alright, alright. c'mon guys, we're leaving. sorry weedle, but we're going to have to look in another place for your friends," Lincoln said as he recalled fearow."

Lincoln looks at pidgeotto.

"What are you thinking Lincoln?" Sid asked."

"We're about to find out," Lincoln replied."

"Why not join my team? Lincoln asked."

"Come again? pidgeotto asked."

"Join my team, it'll be an opportunity to face new opponents, or do you want fearow to keep getting ahead of you," Lincoln smirked."

pidgeotto thought about it then nodded.

"Ok fine I'll join, but you have to promise to use me in a lot of battles," pidgeotto said."

"Sure thing, when I need you for tough battles, you'll be first," Lincoln said." (thinking) 'just like Lynn use her ego against her, but I hope I can change her because if I can then I can probably change Lynn.'

"That is clever using her ego against her," Rusty said."

Lynn felt touched that Lincoln had faith in her to let go of her ego.

"Lincoln, what's going on?" misty asked."

"pidgeotto is joining my team," Lincoln replied."

"Well, why not go ahead and catch it? after all, if we ever get lost, we can always have her and fearow try to find our way back on track," misty suggested."

"That's a good point, they chan check the sky," Arturo said."

"Hmm, two heads are better than one (even though pidgeotto wouldn't do it with her pride). alright pidgeotto welcome to the family. but I expect you back all that tough talk you did earlier," Lincoln stated."

"And you'll get more results than you'll be expecting! pidgeotto declared."

"Alright then, go pokeball!" Lincoln said tossing his pokeball at pidgeotto."

when the bird Pokémon was encapsulated, the ball shook while in the air, before falling to the ground. the ball only wobbled once before it clicked, wow, that was fast, he commented, retrieving his newest team member's pokeball.

"That was fast," Leni said."

"Wow, a critical capture, misty commented."

"Critical capture?" Lincoln asked looking confused."

"It doesn't happen often, but sometimes when you throw a pokeball, it can finish the capture procedure instantly before the Pokémon has a chance to escape. but since it doesn't happen too often, it's wise to not to expect to happen every time," misty explained."

"Huh, that's some good info to have in mind, Lincoln said."

"That's good info," CJ said."

"Too bad it won't work all the time," Carl said."

"Well, let's go already! I don't want to be here anymore than I have to be!" misty whined."

"Don't forget Lincoln, we still have my three friends to look for, weedle said."

"He's right, you know. speaking of which, where do think they are?" Pikachu asked."

"Look no further! a new voice said as another, normal weedle and two green male and female caterpillar Pokémon with a big red antenna emerged from the bushes."

"AAAH! MORE BUGS!" misty screamed."

Lincoln pulled out his pokedex, and pointed it at the green caterpillar.

"Caterpie, the worm Pokémon, a bug type. if you touch the feeler on its head, it releases a horrible stench that it uses to run away. caterpie are recognized as the perfect first Pokémon for new trainers to catch. this caterpie knows the moves tackle and string shot, the pokedex explained."

"So, this guy's going to help us out with seeing the world?" the female caterpie asked."

"Yes. he's just as interested in wonder trading as you three are seeing the world," Lincoln's weedle replied."

"Actually, I want to join this guy's team, the male caterpie said surprising weedle."

"Really?" the two weedle and female caterpie asked."

"Yes, after seeing that battle with pidgeotto, I want to join him and get strong too," the male caterpie replied."

"Well, he does look dependable. I'm down for it," the wild weedle said."

"As am I," the female caterpie added."

"That's great another Pokémon to catch," Rocky said."

"Looks like you're all in agreement. they're ready, Lincoln," Lincoln's weedle said."

"Alright! go pokeballs!" Lincoln said tossing three pokeballs, encapsulating three bug types, three balls wobbled, before they clicked shut."

"Alright! once I figure out this wonder trade, I'll send these two off," Lincoln said to weedle."

just then, the pokeball containing the second weedle began to glow before warping away.

"Wait, I remember professor oak telling me about this. trainers can only carry six Pokémon at a time, right?" Lincoln asked."

"That's right, and the more Pokémon you catch are automatically sent to wherever you got pokedex from and are placed in storage," misty replied." but that raises a question in my mind, why did you catch a second weedle and caterpie?"

"That's cool, he can catch as much as he wants," Kara said."

"You see, this weedle told me that his two friends here want to explore the world it was originally three but the one of the caterpie's wanted to join my team, and the best way to do that is by wonder trading, whatever that is," Lincoln replied."

"Wonder trading is a method in which trainers from around the world can exchange Pokémon with one another. but the Pokémon they receive are totally random," misty explained."

"So, he won't know what he'll get?" Grant asked."

"Pretty much," Kotaro replied."

"Oh, that's convenient, Lincoln commented."

"Good news pewter city has a wonder trade station, but the bad news is that you can't use it right away Lincoln," misty said."

"Why not? Lincoln asked."

"Yeah, why not?" Lola asked."

"You see, while you can receive a new Pokémon from somewhere in the world, and while they do grow faster as you train them, if they become too strong, they won't obey your commands, so its required/recommended that trainers wanting to use the wonder trade station need to have at least one gym badge to their name," misty explained."

"That makes sense, they'll probably think your weak," Paula said." Until you get a badge."

"Yup," Margo said."

"I see. so, I need to earn a badge before I can fulfill my promise to them," Lincoln asked."

"That's right. so, lets hurry up and get to pewter city and out of this bug infested forest," misty whined continuing onward."

"Talk about drama queen," Lincoln commented."

"Defiantly and I thought Lola was dramatic," Lincoln said."

"Hey!" Lola said."

(Misty halted and turned around) "what did you say Lincoln, misty asked."

"I'm just saying you're acting like a drama queen," Lincoln replied." did you have a bad trauma with bug types when you were a kid?"

"NO, I just can't stand how ugly they look except for the one that look like cute butterflies," misty replied."

"Wow, that's so stupid judging on appearances how would you like it if someone didn't like water Pokémon," Lincoln asked."

"That's her reason for not liking bug types?" Skippy asked." That's so stupid."

"Completely," Lana said." And that's a good question bro."

(Getting livid) "then they're idiots because all water Pokémon are beautiful, misty replied."

"Then let me ask you this, how would you feel if you saw a Pokémon that was both a water and bug type would you love it or be scared of it," Lincoln asked."

"Can it be cute?" misty asked."

"No, it's can't, Lincoln replied."

misty couldn't think of an answer, all she can do is sulk.

"I thought so, let know when you found your answer," Lincoln said."

"Boom, in her face. she couldn't find the answer," Lana said."

"Yeah, and let's see if she finds her answer," Kayla said."

"Well, weedle once we win a badge at the pewter gym, I can wonder trade your friends, Lincoln said."

"That's fine as long as you keep your word," weedle replied."

"Alright then, let's get you back in your ball, and...," Lincoln said until he found himself cut off when a mighty yell."

a boy dressed in samurai outfit leaped from the bushes, brandishing a sword, and pointed it at the two trainers.

"Whoa, a samurai!" Stanley said."

"You there! am I addressing at least one trainer from the town of pallet?" the boy asked."

"Not me I'm from cerulean city," misty replied nervously."

"Technically I did start out in pallet town," Lincoln replied."

the boy sheathed his sword, a look of interest on his face.

"So, you're that foreigner from America, am I correct?" the boy asked."

Lincoln looked surprised.

"Um, yes, I am. but how did you know?" Lincoln asked."

"Yeah, how did he know?" Liam said."

"A boy passed through here with a Squirtle by the name of Gary who told me about you," the boy replied."

"So, Gary and the others must've passed through here already," Lincoln said."

"That explains it, let's hope he didn't say anything mean about our bro," Luna said."

"Just who are you, kid? that sword's dangerous, you know?" misty questioned."

"Yeah, he can poke an eye out," Myrtle said."

"I'm the wondering warrior of the viridian forest, the bug type trainer, samurai!" the boy said introducing himself."

"Well, samurai I assume that there's a reason you jumped out at us like that?" Lincoln asked."

"Indeed. I've battled three trainers who hail from the town of pallet and have fallen to them three different times. you are the fourth trainer to come from pallet town, even though you're not actually from there, so I'm issuing a battle challenge to you, Lincoln loud!" samurai replied."

"A battle?" Lincoln questioned."

"It would be a good idea to see how weedle, caterpie and pidgeotto fair in battle," Pikachu suggested."

"Take him up on his challenge," misty urged."

"Yeah, it'll be a good experience for them," Lynn said."

"And we're going to see our first Pokémon battle," Francisco said."

"Well, if you say so samurai I accept!" Lincoln said."

"Great! there's a clearing just up ahead that'll make a great battlefield," samurai said leading them down the path they were before."

"Hey Lincoln? can I get some healing done? I'm still a little sore from that battle with your poliwag," weedle asked."

"Sure thing, once we get to the cleaning, I'll use a potion on you," Lincoln replied as they soon arrived at an open clearing." so, what'll the rules be?"

"We both only use three Pokémon, and the battle will be decided when either trainer's Pokémon can't battle. no substitutions will be aloud," samurai explained."

"Sounds like good rules," Lynn sr. said."

"Sounds reasonable," Lincoln replied as he took a moment to spray weedle with a potion."

"Ah much better! weedle said."

"Ok weedle I'll start with you first Lincoln said."

"Well, I would rest first, but I'll go ahead and battle," weedle replied as he slithered his way up into the battlefield."

"Ok, and here's my first Pokémon, go metapod!" samurai said tossing his pokeball, sending out a green cocoon like Pokémon."

"What's that?" Lincoln wondered taking out his pokedex, and pointing at the cocoon."

Everyone looked weirded out.

"A cocoon like Pokémon?" Rusty asked." that's weird."

"Yeah, what's next, a pokemon made of fruit?" Zach asked."

"Metapod, the cocoon Pokémon, a bug type, and the evolved form of caterpie. a steel-hard shell protects its tender insides while awaiting evolution. during this time, it endures many hardships, the pokedex explained."

"Wow, I guess it can take hits," Lynn said."

"Looks like it," Huggins said."

Caterpie comes out its pokeball to see its evolved form and wants to see the battle.

"Sorry Lincoln, I really wanted to see this battle," caterpie said"

"It's cool, better to learn then to see it up-close," Lincoln commented."

"Best way to learn," Ramirez said."

"Since you're the visitor, you may have the first move," samurai declared."

"That's nice of him," Rivers said."

"Oh, um, ok. weedle, let's start with poison sting!" Lincoln instructed."

"You got it!" weedle said as he fired a barrage of poison stings."

"Medapod, use harden!" samurai instructed."

medapod glowed, as its body to grow stiffer. the attack made contact, and metapod appeared to have been poisoned.

"I guess it can't be protected by poison," Huggins said."

"Ah! metapod!" samurai cried out."

weedle then started to snicker.

"You're laughing? poison isn't something to laugh about, even if it's does give us an edge," Lincoln scolded unsure as to why weedle found it funny."

"Yeah Weedle!" Leni said."

"Well, it would appear that this guy caught metapod as it is instead of raising it from a caterpie. if that's the case, this will be a blast!" weedle explained."

Lincoln looked more confused.

As do everyone else.

"I don't get it," Bobby said."

"Metapod harden once more!" samurai ordered."

meatapod stiffened its body again.

"Uh is this all your metapod can do?" Lincoln asked."

samurai blushed in embarrassment.

"Apparently so," David said."

"Well, you see, the thing is I caught metapod as a metapod, so the only moves it has are harden and string shot," samurai replied."

"Wait so it can't attack? like, at all?" Lincoln asked."

The samurai nodded.

"Are you serious?! he caught it and didn't teach it any attack moves?" Lynn asked."

"What a moron," Lola said."

"Lola, he probably forgot," Meli said."

"She's got a point," Cricket said."

"Man, that sucks, dude," Lincoln said, before turning to weedle, is that what you're talking about?"

"Yup, harden and string shot are a pain in terms of battle, but they don't do jack against your opponents in the way of attacking," weedle replied."

"Well, we just learned something," Carlos said."

"Huh, in that case, weedle use poison sting again!" Lincoln instructed."

"Way ahead of you," weedle replied as he once again fired off poison sting."

the damage from the attack and the poison status proved too much for metapod to handle, as it went down to defeat.

"With that, first round goes to Lincoln," misty commented."

"That was too easy," Carl said."

samurai recalled metapod.

"Nice work, weedle!" Lincoln said."

"Thanks, now I'd like to take a rest in my...weedle said until he and caterpie began to glow, as they began to change shape." huh, about time this happened."

"What's happening to you two?" Lincoln asked."

"Don't worry. your weedle and caterpie are beginning to evolve," samurai replied tending metapod."

"Among all the Pokémon in the kanto region, caterpie and weedle are the easiest Pokémon to evolve since they have low levels," misty added."

"Huh, so that's evolution," Lincoln said as the light died out weedle became a lime green cocoon Pokémon that was unlike metapod while caterpie became metapod. Lincoln took out his pokedex and pointed to his new Pokémon."

"Kakuna, the cocoon Pokémon, a bug and poison type. kakuna remains immobile as it clings to trees. kakuna knows the moves poison sting, string shot, bug bite, and harden, the pokedex explained."

"So that's Pokémon evolution, it's amazing," Lisa said."

"Does this mean all Pokémon can evolve?" David asked."

Kai appears.

"Afraid not, there are some that can't evolve at all," He replied."

"Aw man," Lana said."

"New moves huh, how do you feel?" Lincoln asked."

"Honestly? rather cramped in this shell. I miss being able to move freely," kakuna replied."

"Don't worry you'll evolve again before you know it, so just try to hold out, you too metapod," Lincoln said."

"Yeah, but could you recall us please? I'd like to have the rest now?" kakuna asked."

"Sure thing," Lincoln replied recalling his new evolved Pokémon, before turning to samurai." well samurai let's begin round two."

"Not being arrogant huh! now my second Pokémon!" samurai said tossing his second pokeball, releasing a large, brown beetle Pokémon with two large horns on the top of its head."

"When was he ever arrogant?" Luan joked."

Everyone snickered until they saw Samurai's next Pokémon.

"What the heck is that?!" Lola asked creeped out."

"Besides being a big gross bug," Leni replied."

"OF ALL THE POKEMON THIS SAMUAI KID COULD HAVE ON HIM, WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE A PINSIR," misty yelled."

Misty's scream provoked a swarm of big bumblebee like Pokémon with glowing red eyes.

"That's not good," Maria said."

nearby the clearing

"Jeez how big is this forest its driving me nuts!" Jessie yelled."

"It's not so bad I did catch a pidgey, James said."

"But these are weak Pokémon! we can't battle that brat with these small fries!" meowth pointed out."

"Look who's talking cat boy," Shelby said."

"You dolt, they're for the wonder trade machine at the center. James and I are going to trade off the seven Pokémon we caught for some good ones," jessie said."

"Ah, I get ya! speaking of the brat, we should go and find him," meowth suggested."

"Ah, that's right if we're late with our report, the boss will have our heads!" James exclaimed."

"Thankfully, I've been keeping track of those brats while catching Pokémon. they should be this way," jessie said as they met a warm of bee like Pokémon."

(Gulps) "your tracking skills need work," meowth joked as the trio ran away."

"Literally," Lori said."

"And what are those things?" Carol asked."

"I think we're going to find out," Dana replied."

back to the battlefield

"A pinsir?" Lincoln said pointing his pokedex at the bug Pokémon."

"Pinsir, the stag beetle Pokémon, a bug type. pinsir is outstandingly strong. it can grip any opponent weighing twice its own wait in its horns, and easily lift it. however, its movements are sluggish in cold places, the pokedex explained."

"Those do look like strong horns," Lana said."

"I bet it'll crush rocks," Skippy said."

"Ok, so avoid the horns, go pidgeotto!" Lincoln said sending out pidgeotto."

"About time you send me to battle. so, who's ass am I kicking? pidgeotto asked."

"Your opponent is that pinsir," Lincoln replied."

pidgeotto looked shocked.

"Is there a problem?" Lincoln asked."

"Uh yeah, that pinsir is one of the toughest bug types ever," pidgeotto replied."

"Oh, and I thought you can handle anything, Lincoln teased."

"Ha, using her ego against her is smart," Margo said."

(pidgeotto let hero ego take over) "bring it on no bug is going to outshine me," Pidgeotto said."

"That's my girl, just avoid his horns, now use gust," Lincoln instructed."

pidgeotto was about to attack until a group of bumble bee like Pokémon appeared.

"Uh oh," everyone said."

"What are those things?" Lincoln questioned pulling out his pokedex."

"Beedrill, the poison bee Pokémon, a bug and poison type, the evolved form of kakuna, beedrill are very territorial and quick to anger, if attacked they'll attack in a furious swarm, this beedrill knows the moves poison sting, rage, twineedle, fury attack, and pursuit, the pokedex explained."

"Kakuna evolves into that?!" Leni asked."

"Now I'm worried about Medapod when he evolves," Jackie said."

"We can't stay here! I'll lead us to safety," samurai said recalling pinsir."

"As much as I want to battle, that's way too many beedrill for even as someone as awesome as me to handle on my own!" pidgeotto said as Lincoln recalled her back in the pokeball."

"Smart thinking," Lynn said."

misty and Lincoln followed after samurai as the swarm closed in on them.

10 minutes later,

the three trainers and Pikachu continued to run until they saw a cabin in view.

"My cabin! we can take shelter there!" samurai called out as they quickly made their way inside."

"Good thing he has a cabin," Rita said."

they all breathed a sigh of relief, even though the sound of buzzing was still heard. samurai took a moment to take off his armor, before shooting a glare at misty.

"Well, I hope you're satisfied! if not for your banshee mouth, we wouldn't have had to barely escape with our lives!" Samurai said."

"Well excuse me for not liking bug Pokémon mister samurai pretender humph," misty said looking away."

"This armor has been pasted down in my family for generations, of course a stuck up self-center brat like you wouldn't understand," samurai said blowing a raspberry."

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME, misty yelled."

"Jeez, she can't take responsibility for her actions," Lola said."

"Just like certain sisters I know," Lincoln muttered."

"Well, she does have a banshee voice like Lola," Carl said."

"EXCUSE ME!" Lola yelled."

"Don't start Lola," Rita said."

"And Carl, watch what you say," Frida said."

"Fine even though it's true," Carl said."

Lola growls at that comment.

"QUIET, fighting each other isn't going to help anybody, we need to think of a way out of here," Lincoln said."

"Good luck, unless you can beat them or their queen we'll have to wait until morning for the swarm to go away," samurai said."

"Their queen sounds tough," Cricket said."

"Then we'll take down a majority of them to get them to back off," Lincoln declared."

Lincoln heads out with Pikachu following towards the cabin door stepping out of the cabin sending out Pikachu, fearow, pidgeotto, kakuna, metapod, and poliwag. misty hesitantly followed Lincoln and sent out staryu and a new tadpole Pokémon that looked smaller than poliwrath. samurai oined too sending out pinsir.

"Alright guys, we've got a big battle ahead of us," Lincoln said."

"Yeah, best to fight them off," Luna said."

"Don't you mean we have a big battle ahead of ourselves," Pikachu said emphasizing the word we."

Lincoln looked at his partner in disbelief.

"No way, absolutely not! we're not leaving you guys to face the swarm by yourselves!" Lincoln retorted."

"Pikachu has a valid point. we can handle the beedrill ourselves. the three of you...not so much," fearow replied."

"She didn't need to say it like that," Rita said."

"As much as I don't want to agree with birdbrain here, you guys would get in the way. so, you three just head back inside, and we'll clean up here," pidgeotto added."

"But we..., "Lincoln was cut off when pinsir hoisted him up with his horns, carried him over to the cabin."

"I'm surprised that he's not hurt from Pinsir," Punguari said."

"Maybe it's how they handle their horns," Sid said."

"Trust me we can handle this," pinsir replied tossing Lincoln back inside he then did the same with the others as well. once the trainers were safe and sound inside the cabin, the Pokémon turned to the swarm."

The louds get mad.

"It didn't have to toss Lincoln inside instead of tossing him," Lynn sr. said."

"So how does it look?" Pikachu asked."

"I'm seeing five or six dozen beedrill. and I see land troops too," pinsir replied seeing a large number of weedle and kakuna coming their way."

Everyone was surprised seeing the army.

"That's a big army," Shiloh said."

"I suggest divide and conquer. some of us can handle the land support, while the rest handle the beedrill," Fearow said."

"Good plan," Shane said."

"Great! now, let's dance!" pidgeotto said as they went to battle."

meanwhile, inside the cabin,

"Sorry about pinsir's actions he threw you pretty hard," samurai said."

"It's fine, samurai, and its best we stay inside, we would be in the way," Lincoln said as they watch the battle going on outside."

"That's true," Maria said."

outside the cabin,

"Ha, 20 for me! how are doing?" pidgeotto called out, as she took out two more beedrill."

"Oh, I'm up to 23 knockouts fearow retorted, as she took out another beedrill."

"Whatever! you're just using that cheap mirror move to return fire! so it doesn't count!" pidgeotto retorted."

"Says you, its legit. you're just mad because I used it on you," fearow said."

"Armatures! I'm already up to 27 kos. which puts me in the lead!" pinsir called out as it used his horns to throw one beedrill into another one, knocking them both out."

"Actually, I've just scored up to my 30th knockout, which means I'm in the lead," Pikachu called out."

"Yeesh, competing over who told out the most, competitive much," Luan said."

"It's like clone wars where Anakin and Asoka were competing who took out the most battle droids," Lincoln said."

"That was a good episode," Zach said."

"Don't get cheeky, just try to keep that lead you're in," pinsir said irritably gashing its horns together as the four continued to fight beedrill."

meanwhile the other Pokémon were busy fighting off the weedle and kakuna that were with the swarm.

"I've only got to 12 because my aim is terrible," poliwag said."

"Don't worry little one. the fact you got 12 on your own is impressive," staryu replied blasting a weedle with water gun."

yeah, at least you guys can move around. metapod and I need poliwhirl's help to move around. I only got 2 knock outs, kakuna added."

"Yeah, it's still good," Lynn said."

"I myself got a total of 16," poliwhirl stated."

he then dropped kakuna and metapod, feeling an increase heat coming from their bodies. he then noticed cracks all round both metapod and kakuna's bodies.

"Did anyone see the cracks?" Lance asked."

"I did," Shiloh replied."

"Oh, sorry about that, but you both are getting rather hot to touch. I didn't mean to drop you two," Poliwhirl said."

"Cracks? hot to the touch? but that means...," kakuna didn't finish as a bright light erupted from his and metapod's bodies, as they began to evolve." oh, hell yeah! I've been waiting for this!"

kakuna evolved into a beedrill, while metapod evolved into a violet butterfly. unlike the other beedrill, Lincoln's beedrill was completely green with blue eyes.

"They evolved!" Shelby said." And Metapod's evolved form looks beautiful."

"Oh, finally! we can move around again! I can't tell how annoying it was!" Beedrill said."

"Ah man, both of you evolved twice lucky," poliwag said."

"Don't worry, you'll get your chance to evolve someday," the violet butterfly Pokémon said."

"Wow, they evolved twice, but who's metapod's new form?" Lincoln questioned pulling out his pokedex."

"Butterfree, the butterfly Pokémon, a bug and flying time, it can flap its wings very fast, filling the air with toxic dust, this butterfree knows the moves sleep powder, stun spore, confusion, and psybeam, the pokedex explained."

"So, that's what it's called," Lori said."

"I got an idea, butterfree us sleep powder on the swarm," Lincoln instructed."

"You got it everyone get back," butterfree said."

the Pokémon get back then butterfree used sleep powder on the swarm putting them to sleep.

"Looks like I took out the most, guess I win," Butterfree said."

"I guess so," Lincoln said."

"And that sleep powder move really is helpful," Rita said." (Thinking) 'if it was real I would've used it on Lily next time Lynn gives her a raisin looking coco bean so she can sleep.'

"Nice work everyone," Lincoln said as he, misty and samurai came out of the cabin. you all did great."

suddenly the lead beedrill showed up.

"Whoa judging from its size it's the queen," Pikachu said."

"The queen bee!" Roxanne said."

"WHAT DID YOU NUTJOBS DO TO MY ARMY, the queen beedrill yelled."

"Hey, isn't that a little extreme they started it," Lincoln replied."

"Even though it was Misty's fault," Ronnie Anne said."

"Look some idiot trainers ruined my beauty sleep by trespassing on my home," the queen beedrill said."

(Thinking) 'she's just like Lola,' Lincoln thought.' "Well, it wasn't us, we would never do that and we're very sorry about your troops," Lincoln said."

"Seriously, how is she like me?" Lola asked."

(Deadpan) "You always complain about your 'beauty sleep' Lola," Lincoln replied."

The family nod in agreement.

Lola pouts from that.

'Well, unlike you philistines I work on my appearance,' Lola thought.'

"Hmm, I guess it was a misunderstanding, and you're kind enough to apologize I'll let it go, GUYS, UP AND ADDAM AND RETURN HOME," the queen beedrill yelled as the swarm wakes up and head home."

"Ok everyone time to return now the battle's over," Lincoln said recalling his team as did misty and samurai."

"Good thing things worked out," Lynn sr. said."

"Thank you, the queen beedrill asked," so, you didn't enter our territory?"

"Nope, it was probably someone else," Lincoln replied."

"Well as an apology I'll give you this," the queen beedrill gave Lincoln a mysterious baseball size marble that was primary gray in color with a black and yellow flame in the center." it's one of my swarm's greatest treasures and it can help you on your journey."

"Um, thanks. and we'll get out of your hair now," Lincoln said as the three trainers left, leaving the beedrill to look after the swarm."

"That's one big marble," Shiloh said." unless it's a pearl."

"I don't think so, it doesn't look like a pearl," Girl Jordan said."

close to the viridian exit,

"What did that beedrill give you?" samurai asked."

"Just this, Lincoln replied showing the marble like object."

"Talk about odd stone but keep it just in case, who knows you might need it," samurai said."

"Better safe than sorry," Sharon said."

"True, and it might come in handy," Lance said."

"Good idea, maybe professor oak might know about it," Lincoln said." so, is there a way out of here?"

"Follow this path and it'll take you to pewter city," samurai replied."

"Thanks, and sorry we couldn't finish our battle," Lincoln said."

"It's quite alright, Lincoln. we'll meet again someday then finish our battle, samurai said."

"Sounds good to me," said Lincoln bumping fist with samurai before he and misty left."

"They're already friends, that's sweet," Frida said."

"I wonder who enter their territory," misty wondered."

(Shrugs) "who knows," Lincoln said."

somewhere in viridian forest,

"Dammit I know we pasted through here already!" jessie grumbled as she, James and meowth continued to navigate through the forest, a scowl on her face." are you sure this is the right way, James?"

"How should I know?! you told us to leave our equipment on the balloon!" James yelled."

"Are you saying it's my fault?!" jessie snapped."

"Will you two shut up?! we have to get out of here before those beedrill find...us," Meowth said before noticing the swarm behind them."

"Well, well, what do we have here? the humans who trespassed on our territory," the queen beedrill said turning to her swarm," get them! make them suffer!"

the swarm get ready to attack.

"We're dead," said meowth as the forest is seen with team rockets screams echoed."

"Welp, now we know who trespassed," Lincoln said."

Everyone nods.

That's chapter 10 next Lincoln learns about brock's family. also sorry for taking so long I was enjoying Pokémon violet and just finished all three stories.
