Chapter 3
Ben's Room
6:00am
Sleeping like a log in his room with a pillow over his head, Ben is enjoying every bit of the sleep he is having with the intention of not waking up.
"Boss, Mikage is here in your room and wants to duel you!" Fader yelled into Ben's ear causing the Young Man to jolt out of his bed. Looking from left to right in search of any threat but he is only met with nothing other than himself and Fader wearing a huge grin(still trying to figure out how that's possible).
Signing at being played he spoke "You were suppose to wake me up, not give me a freaking heart attack." Glaring at the Fiend.
"Well you're awake right? That just proves my waking up method is top notch." Fader said
"You know what, I'm getting an alarm clock today. I don't plan on waking up with high blood pressure every morning." Ben said as he started rubbing his face.
"And how do you intend to do that? You don't have any money." Fader said
"I'm sure Misty has a spare alarm clock somewhere." Ben said as he got on the floor doing push ups
"Come on I'm better than an alarm clock." Fader whined
"At any rate, the only thing you would be is a hazard to his health." A somewhat cut voice said causing Ben to stop his push ups
"Who said that?" He asked getting up
Just then the duel spirit, Dark Resonator appeared in front of him holding two metal poles while wearing an evil grin.
"Well who else than your ever faithful companion, Dark Resonator." He said
"Dude, how are you so cute while wearing such an evil grin?" Ben asked
"I'm not cute." Resonator protested, which wasn't helping
"Yeah, you're definitely cute." Ben blankly stated
"What about me, aren't I cute too?" Fader asked causing Ben and Resonator to look at him like he had grown a second head
"Dude, you're like the opposite of the word cute." Resonator said
"Why you little-" Fader began to say as Ben tuned him off, continuing his work out as the two Fiends continue to argue.
"This is going to be a long day." Ben thought
Living Room
After freshening up, Ben was sitting on a couch while practicing the use of his power to manifest Duel Monsters. He is currently practicing on Resonator and so far, wasn't having any issue as the little Fiend was floating in front of him, actually looking real instead of transparent. Grapha had deduced that the reason he was doing it easily was probably due to the having the power of two Dark Signers, though that was merely a theory as neither of his Signer marks were glowing.
"Is that what I think it is?" The shocked voice of Misty cause both Ben and Resonator to turn towards her.
"Good morning Misty." Ben greeted trying to get her out of her dazed state but it didn't work.
Walking slowly towards the duo, Misty slowly placed her hand over Resonator head causing her to notice he was real.
"You're just like Toby. How long could you do this?" She asked in a quiet tune
"It's hard to say, but I think I could always do so." Ben said
"But that wasn't the case yesterday during your Duel." Misty said
"I can actually make my monsters real or make them regular cards." Ben said making Resonator disappear from Misty sight and also making him appear again
"This…how is this possible?" She asked but the only reply she got was Ben shrugging
This caused her to stare intently at his face like she was looking at his soul. Ben tensed up a bit at this but said nothing.
"It all makes sense now" Misty said after a while
"Eh, what makes sense?" Ben asked confused
"I can usually read the fortune of people by looking at their face but you, ever since meeting up with you I am unable to read your fortune." Misty said still petting Resonator
After some second of silence, Ben asked "Who's Toby?"
"Toby is my late brother. He was a Psychic Duelist who could manifest real monsters just like you, but he could not control whether they were real or not." Misty said getting up while holding Resonator in her hand still petting him
"Come, I've already prepared breakfast for the both of us, let's continue our talk at the dinning." Misty said as she started walking away
"Lucky bastard." Fader said referring to Resonator in Misty's hand.
Ignoring him, Ben followed her to the dinning.
Dinning Room
As they both ate in silence, Resonator had decided to rest on Ben's shoulder. As she finished eating, she noticed Ben was struggling with his cutlery. Though he held them correctly, he was finding it hard to pick up is food. The scene caused Misty to smile slightly.
"Try not to hold them too tightly." She said causing Ben to pause
"Thanks, I think I'll do just that." Ben said
"No need to thank me, you were doing great on your own." Misty said
After a while she spoke "You wanted to know about my brother right?" She asked causing Ben to nod "Like I said earlier, Toby was like you, being able to manifest real monsters. Because of this he didn't have any friends."
"One day he told me about something called the Arcadia Movement. They are a group of individuals that can also manifest real monsters. My brother had taken a liking towards one of it's members, Akiza." Misty said the last part with venom in her voice.
"I take it things didn't work out well with this Arcadia Movement." Ben said
"No. During one of their meetings, which my brother attended, Akiza went on a rampage that killed my him. If only he had listened to me, none of this would have happened." Misty said in a hussed tune
"Hey, Resonator. Go cheer her up will you." Ben mentally told the duel spirit as he floated towards Misty and started playing with her hair which caused her to laugh
"I'm sorry for being nosey in bringing up old memories. As an apology for my nosiness, would you like to duel against me?" Ben asked her
"I don't think that's a good idea. Besides I'm not really that good at dueling." Misty said
"I highly doubt that, besides I hear dueling someone is also a better way to know them better which I think would be good for you as you said you can't read my fortune." Ben said
Thinking for a moment, Misty then said
"Alright, but you'll have to finish your food first before we duel." This caused Ben to groan slightly.
"Come meet me in the Garden when you're done." Misty said while getting up to leave the dinning
Garden
Stepping into the Garden with Fader and Resonator (he's in his spirit form), Ben is met with site of Misty tending to some flowers. Noticing him, she signaled him to follow her to the location of their Duel.
"Why don't you go first, since I'm a little rusty." Misty said to Ben as they both activated their Duel disk.
"Okay." Was Ben's simple answer
"Let's Duel!"

Turn:1
"I Draw. I'll active the spell card Resonator call to draw one Resonator monster from my Deck and I choose, Dark Resonator." Ben said drawing, adding the Fiend monster to his hand. "I'll summon a monster in facedown defense position. I'll place two facedowns and end my turn."
Turn:2
"It's my turn now. I'll Draw." She said drawing a card. "I'll play the spell card Terraforming, which let's me add a field spell to my hand. I'll then active the card I drew, A Legendary Ocean."
As she activates the card the Garden seem to transform into an actual Ocean with Both Duelist standing on the water.
"This world is truly amazing." Ben thought observing the change of environment.
"Now this field spell increase the attack of all water monsters by 200 and reduces the level of all water type monsters in both our hand and field by one. Which will allow me to summon Giga Gagagigo without tribute. Arise my reptilian friend and give me victory." Misty said as a Giant armored Lizard appeared on her side of the field.

"Now then, attack his facedown monster." Misty said as Giga G. attacked Ben's facedown revealing it to be Dark Resonator.

"Resonator effects activates. Once per turn if it would be destroyed by battle, he is not." Ben said as Resonator blocked Giga G attack.
"Not bad Ben. I'll then play two face down and end my turn." Misty said
Turn:3
"I'll Draw. I now play the spell Dark World Dealings, letting us both draw one card and discard another. I'll then discard the card Broww, Huntsman of Dark World. When he is discarded to the graveyard I can draw one more card from my Deck." Ben said drawing another card.
Looking at his hand Ben then made his decision. "I'll place another face down card and end my turn. Your move Misty."
Turn:4
"I Draw. I summon Gagagigo in attack position." She said summoning a new monster
Gagagigo (2050Atk/1200Def/Lvl3/Water/Reptile)
"I'll now activate the trap card Deity. This let's me tribute one reptile monster on my field to destroy two cards on your side of the Field. I'll now tribute Gagagigo to destroy Dark Resonator and your new facedown card." Misty said destroying Ben's monster and trap which revealing to be Call of the Haunted.
"Now, attack Ben's life points directly." She said as Giga G punches Ben who groaned slightly as his Life points was reduced.

"I'll set one face down and end my turn." Misty said
"You could have stopped that you know." Fader said slightly annoyed Ben did not activate his effect.
"Relax, I just wanted to feel what it's like to take damage in a Duel." Ben said
Turn:5
"I'll Draw. I'll active the spell card Terraforming to draw a field spell to my hand." Ben said causing Misty to raise her brow slightly
"You use field spells?". She asked
"Yep, and now I'll activate the field spell The Gate of Dark World, destroying your own field spell."Ben said
"I activate my quick play spell, Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your spell."
"Sorry but I'll activate my counter trap, Dark Bribe which let's me negate the activation of my opponent spell or trap and let's you draw one card." Ben said negating her Typhoon's effect.
As he did so the battle field transformed into a white and black fortress with a giant giant Gate behind Ben. With Misty field spell destroyed Giga G lost it's attack and defense boost.

"I'll now activate my Field spell effect. Once per turn I can banish one Fiend monster in my graveyard to discard one monster in my hand which in turn let's me draw one card. And I choose to discard Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World." Ben said discarding his monster and drawing one card to his hand
"Grapha effect activates since he was discarded, which let's me select one card on your side of the field to destroy and I choose your only face up monster." Ben said as Giga G was destroyed
"No." Misty gasped.
"Now I'll summon Snoww, Unlight of Dark World in attack position." Ben said summoning the female Dark World monster which was wielding a staff.
"Just letting you know, my Gate of Dark World increases the attack and defense of all Fiend monsters by 300." Ben said

"Form my graveyard, I'll active Grapha's effect. If I control a Dark World monster other than Grapha on the field I can return that monster to my hand and Special Summon Grapha from my Graveyard."
"That means-" Misty said
"Yep. Appear Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World." Ben said as Grapha appeared on the field with his wings spread and a mighty roar.

"3000 attack points." Misty said in shock
"Well that's due to the field Boost. Now I'll activate another Dark World Dealings letting us both draw one card and discard another. I'll now discard Sillva Warlord of Dark World."
"That card." Misty said
"You remember it's effect right? Now I'll special summon it to the field in Attack mode." Ben said
Sillva D.W (2600Atk/1700Def/Lvl5/Dark/Fiend)
"Now the Sillva attack Misty life points directly." Ben said
"I activate my trap Mirror Force." Misty said revealing her final face down.
"Solemn Judgement." Ben said
"What?!"
"By paying half my life points I can negate your trap card." Ben said as his life points was cut in half

"Now Sillva continue your attack." Ben said as Sillva attack Misty reducing
"Ahh!"

"Now Grapha attack her directly." Ben said said Grapha finished her life points
Misty:0
Falling to her knees in defeat, she look up to see the Garden restored to it's previous form with Ben offering her his hand. Taking his hand he helped her up before speaking
"That was any amazing Duel. And you said you were out of practice." Ben said
"Honestly I had forgotten how fun it was to Duel. Thank you for reminding me." Misty said gracing him with a warm smile.
"Anytime." Ben said
"Now I think you deserve a reward for beating me in a Duel." Misty said
"Which is?" Ben asked
"I'll take you to the Mall to get New clothes. I'm quite certain not all the clothes in your room would fit you." She said
"Plus an Alarm Clock." Ben added
"Oh, I guess I'll get you a phone while we're at it." Misty said as they both left for the Mall.
