After stepping into the ring, neither Duelist uttered a single word. They just started at each other or in Akiza's case glared.
"She looks pissed." Fader observed
"Thanks for your insight perspective." Ben replied, sarcasm dripping from his comment
"IT'S TIME TO DUEL!" The MC announced
Ben: 4000
Akiza: 4000
Turn:1
"The first move is mine! I draw!" Akiza said. " I summon Wall of Ivy in defense mode! Next, I place one card face-down and end my turn!"
Wall of Ivy (300Atk/1200Def/Lvl2/Earth/Plant)
Turn:2
"I'll draw. I'll summon one monster in facedown defense position and end my turn." Ben said causing Akiza to observe him skeptically
Turn:3
"Afraid to attack." Akiza taunts while drawing a card
"So you can talk?" Ben acted surprised which caused his opponent to frown
"Speak for yourself." Akiza shot back
"Well, in my defense you haven't given me a reason to talk." Ben shrugged
"Because you're afraid, just like everyone else." Akiza said
"And who's fault is that?" Ben asked
"It doesn't matter. After this Duel, nothing will matter." Akiza said pulling out a mask which caused Ben to narrow his eyes
"What are you planning to do?" Ben asked tensing up
"I'm going to show this city the monster they created. I'll tribute Wall of Ivy to summon Rose Tentacles." Akiza said summoning her monster while wearing her mask
Rose Tentacles (2200Atk/1200Def/Lvl6/Earth/Plant)
"Now attack his facedown monster." Tentacles shot towards Ben's monster but was blocked as Dark Resonator was revealed

"I'll place one facedown and end my turn." Akiza said
Turn:4
"I'll draw. I'll tribute Dark Resonator to summon Sillva, Warlord of Dark World." Ben said
Sillva D.W (2300Atk/1400Def/Lvl5/Dark/Fiend)
"So tell me, because you were treated badly for being a Psychic Duelist that now justify's you hurting others?" Ben asked
"I never chose to hurt them." Akiza tried to defend herself
"Really now, that didn't seem to be the case with sir Gill. If I didn't know any better I'd say you enjoyed harming him." Ben said his face void of any emotion
"Don't try to act like you know what I've been through." Akiza snapped
"Honestly, I don't care." Ben said causing her to glare hard at him
"What did you say?" Akiza asked almost threateningly
"Did I stutter? I said I don't care. Sillva destroy her monster." Ben said causing Sillva to destroy her Rose Tentacles

"I'll place one face down and end my turn." Ben said
Turn:5
"I'll draw. Since you aren't bothered by the cruelty of people towards me, don't expect me to care about what's about to happen to you. I'll summon Glow Up Bulb in attack position." Akiza said

"I'll now activate Call of Haunted to summon Rose Tentacles. And with Rose Tentacles out I'll tune it with Glow Up Bulb to summon Black Rose Dragon." Akiza said causing her Metal band to fall off giving her a dark aura with her Signer Mark also glowing
Black Rose Dragon (2400Atk/1800Def/Lvl7/Fire/Dragon)
"Good job boss, you've totally pissed her off." Fader said
"Well I didn't see you helping. Regardless Sillva should make it that I only receive 100 damage." Ben said
"I'll activate Black Rose Dragon effect, letting me banish Wall of Ivy to reduce your monsters attack to zero." Akiza said as vines wrapped around Sillva
Sillva D.W (0Atk/1400Def/Lvl5/Dark/Fiend)
"Shit, totally forgot about it's anime effect." Ben swore as he braced himself
"Black Rose Dragon, attack." Akiza ordered as her Dragon blasted Ben causing his helmet to crack and fall off while leaving various tears on his shirt and burn marks. Apparently, not even Fader could totally prevent injuries from a Duel Monster

Right now, all Ben could feel now was pain. Pain he has never felt before. Staggering slightly, Ben managed to stand up
"So how does it feel?" Akiza asked but even with the mask Ben could tell she was smiling. As if reacting to her master, Black Rose Dragon roared causing the stadium to tremble as some people started running for cover
"It that it?" Ben growled
"What?"
"You know all that talk of proving them right that you're a monster, I would have expected you to kill me by now." Ben said clearly angry
"I…I would never -"
"You would never what? Kill?" Ben said in a mocking tune. "Oh please, if you're going to claim to be a monster, might as well go all the way with it."
"Look around you. You claim you can't control your powers yet the damage done here is worse than when you dueled with Gill suggesting you have at least some control of your power yet you're still trying to play the victim. What do you think will happen if you destroy this stadium right now? You think everyone will just miraculously escape? People will die." Ben said causing Akiza to flinch
"I-" Akiza stammered but Ben beat her to it
"You're not a monster. You don't have the will to be one, if killing scares you that much. Me on the other hand, I will do what I must to protect the people I care for and right now you are a threat to those people here." Ben said as both his Signer Marks glowed
"That mark!" Akiza gasped
Zigzix Lab
"Amazing." Zigzix gasped looking at the Enerdy readings
"What's going on Zigzix?" Yeager said from the screen
"It's the Boy's Enerdy level, they're off the charts!" He shouted
"Is that so." Rex said from the screen. "Do you know why the audio feed of the match has been cut off?" Rex asked
"I don't know sir, but if I had to guess it's because of the boy." Zigzix said
Arena
Turn:6
"Boss." Fader called slightly scared of this side of Ben
"Ben, you need to calm down, you're letting the pain get to you." Resonator said trying to reason with him
"Let him cut loose." Ccapac said causing Ben to look at the scared figure of Akiza before deactivating his Signer Marks.
"Why do you hesitate?" Ccapac asked
"Right now I'm pissed, but I'm handling this my way, not yours, got it." Ben growled at Ccapac who merely hummed
"I'll draw. First I'll play Dark World Dealings letting us both draw one card to discard another. I'll be discarding Broww letting me draw one card but I'll also be activating my continues trap Forced Requisition. So from now on when ever I discard a card you discard the same amount of card." Ben said
"I'll now play the spell card, Card Destruction, causing us to discard our entire hand and draw the same number of cards we discarded and unluckily for you all the cards I discarded are Dark World monsters. Specifically two Goldd and one Sillva and now because of my trap you're discarding the cards you just drew making your hand empty." Ben said as Akiza could only stare in shock

"I'll now play the Field spell, The Gate of Dark World. You should be familiar with it's effect." Ben said activating his Field
2 Goldd and Sillva (2600Atk/1700Def/Lvl5/Dark/Fiend)
"I'll activate my Field's effect, by banishing Resonator I can discard Grapha to destroy your face down." Ben said destroying Akiza face down while drawing a card. "I'll now return one Goldd to special summon from my graveyard Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World."
Grapha D.W (3000Atk/2100Def/Lvl8/Dark/Fiend)
"Now Goldd, destroy her Rose Dragon." Ben ordered causing his monster to attack, making Akiza to fly back shattering her mask

"That attack right now, it was real." Akiza looked up in shock at Ben
"Sillva, attack."
"Ahhh!" Akiza yelled

Watching his opponent, Ben signed before speaking "Grapha, end this."
Akiza:0
Raising her arm to shield her face, Akiza had expected to receive real damage but was shocked to realize nothing happened. Taking her hand down she looked at her opponent who just started back at her before deactivating his Duel Disk.
"Those first two attacks were payback for smacking me with your Dragon." Ben said as he saw Sayer approach Akiza
"Akiza, are you alright?" Sayer asked placing his jacket around her while staring at Ben who started to walk away
"Thank you, Ben." Akiza thought
Hallway
As Ben is walking down the Hallway, he staggers slightly using the wall to keep balance
"Thanks for killing the Audio feed." Ben said to Resonator
"Anytime, just be careful the next time you plan to go full Final Boss mode." Resonator said
"Ben!" The young man raised his head to see Misty rushing towards him
"Are you alright?" She worriedly asked helping him stand
"I'm fine. Sorry for worrying you." Ben said
"You should be, I warned you to be careful." Misty scolded him
"Sorry." Ben said
"Officer Ben, congratulations on your match, but right now the Director wishes to see you." Yeager said approaching the duo
"Why, he just finished a match." Misty askes glaring at Yeager
"If you're worried about him, you can tag along as well. Director Goodwin also wants to see you." Yeager said causing Ben to observe the man
"Sure." Ben said before Misty could protest
Goodwin's Hall
Stepping into the room, Ben and Misty are met with the site of Rex, who has his hands behind his back alongside Jack and Mikage.
"Miss Misty, Officer Ben." Rex greeted
"Director Goodwin." Misty greeted
"Officer Ben, I would like to congratulate you on your victory, though I'm afraid that is not why I called you here." Rex said
"I take it this is about me making my monsters real?" Ben asked
"As fascinating as that is, it is not the reason I called you. May I see your shoulder?" Rex asked
"So basically you want me to strip? Ben tried to joke
"Officer Ben." Rex said in a stern voice
Signing, Ben started taking off his uniform causing Mikage and Misty to blush slightly at his figure. Not too muscular but still ripped
"How can this be?" Rex gasped in surprise seeing not just one but two Dark Signer marks
"Is he a Signer?" Jack asked
"No, he is not a Signer. Rather he is a Dark Signer, an opposition to the Signers." Rex informed
"An opposition? As in enemy?" Jack asked
"That would have been the case, but he seems different. He seems to be in control of his actions, something Dark Signers are not capable of accomplishing. More importantly he has two Dark Signer marks." Rex said
"Two!" Yeager gasped
"What is going on here?" Misty asked feeling left in the dark
"Forgive me Miss Misty. Since you're Ben's guardian, allow me to bring you up to speed. You see this tournament was held with the intention of finding individuals known as Signers. People blessed with the power of the Crimson Dragon to save the World." Rex explained. "But Ben here has what we call a Dark Signer mark, power of the Envoy of Darkness, the opposite of all that is good."
"So what you're saying is Ben is evil?" Misty asked not believing him "Because I remember Akiza having one of these Signer marks and I doubt she is anything but good."
"Well the case of Officer Ben is rare. For one, he does not seem to be evil neither did he kill Akiza as Dark Signers can never pass up the opportunity to kill a Signer." Rex said
"Now that I think about it, it all makes sense now" Rex said
"What makes sense?" Ben asked
"A Dark Signer is only born when a person dies. They are resurrected to fulfill the will of the Envoy of Darkness. You said you lost your memory, correct?" Rex asked Ben
"Yes."
"I believe the reason for this is because you died Officer Ben." Rex said causing everyone in the room to stare at Ben
"Though it is only a theory, I believe after being resurrected as a Signer, you lost your memory of your previous life. Though that doesn't still explain why you have two Signer marks." Rex rubbed his jaw
"I see." Ben said slightly impressed that Rex had almost accurately deduced his situation
"So what now? Clearly Ben is not evil like you assumed." Misty said
"True, which is why I will merely be observing him." Rex said before facing Ben "But listen well Officer Ben, if for some reason you become a threat to this City and the World, I will do everything within my power to put you down." Rex said with all seriousness
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Ben said causing Rex to nod
"You should go rest and prepare for your next match." Rex said causing Ben and Misty to leave the room
"So Misty. What do you think about what he said?" Ben asked
"I don't care about what he said. All I know is that you're not evil and you will never bring harm to the world. The fact you joined Sector Security already proves that." Misty said giving him a warm smile
"Thanks." Ben said after a while.
