The Tragedy of the Irredeemable
Chapter 6: The Multiverse, Pt 2
The purple portal of the Dimentionator opens inside of the Candy Cane Forest, not far from where the portal to Aperture appeared. Creamorana stepped through and ran away, hoping Ratchet and Rivet wasnt able to follow.
Shortly after, Ratchet and Rivet flew out of the portal and landed on the sugar coated ground as the portal closed behind them.
"Ratchet, are you okay?" Clank asks.
Ratchet and Rivet slowly get to their feet. "Yeah Clank, im okay." Ratchet answers.
Kit jumps off of Rivet's back. "Guys, where did Cream go?"
The group looks around, all they see is candy cane trees around them. "Well, thats not good." Clank says.
Kit finds foot prints leading away into the forest. "Over here, I think these are her footprints."
Ratchet rushes around the corner but doesnt see anything. "She isnt this way, the tracks look like they end."
Rivet and Kit join Ratchet. "We need to get that Dimentionator back quickly, it will cause major damage if used maliciously." Rivet said.
"Hey, didnt she say something about exacting revenge?" Clank said.
Ratchet took Clank off his back and held him. "What about it buddy?"
"Well Ratchet, If this is her home, perhaps we can find those that she would want to exact revenge against." Clank says.
Rivet smiles. "Thats a good idea Clank."
Ratchet hooks Clank on his back as the group starts walking into the forest. "I just hope we dont get lost." Ratchet says.
Meanwhile
Down at the track, Vanellope and the other racers prepare their Random Roster Race.
"My fellow Racers, The time has come again for us to race for our next roster." Vanellope says to the rest of the racers. "We all know the first nine racers will be on the board for our next day's racers. So good luck and have fun!"
Vanellope jumps to her kart as the rest of the racers get in theirs. Moments later, the race begins as all the racers rush off the starting line. Vanellope leading, followed closely by Cinndon and Rancis.
"Dont think you boys are going to get the slip on me!" Vanellope yells as she floors the accelerator and speeds ahead.
Rancis and Cinndon continue trying to keep up with Vanellope as well as trying to pass each other. As the racers move into Gumball Ridge, Rancis picks up a speed powerup and begins to catch up to Vanellope, leaving Cinndon in the dust.
"I got you now Nelly." Rancis said as he rapidly approaches his girlfriend.
Vanellope looks in her rearview and notices Rancis moments before he zooms past her. "Clever Rancis, but this race has just started."
Further back, Taffyta picks up the seeker powerup and knocks out Minty, Candlehead and Gloyd, moving up three places with Sticky right on her tail.
As the leaders approach the cake jump, Cinndon has over taken Vanellope and is looking to take first from Rancis.
Rancis makes the jump at the top of the cake, followed by Cinndon and Vanellope, both of them gaining on Rancis.
Sticky manages to pass Taffyta leading into the cake jump, Swizzle and Adorabeezle follow close behind them.
Up ahead, Cinndon picks up a sticky slick powerup and lays it, Vanellope manages to dodge it, however Sticky and Taffyta are caught and spin out, allowing Swizzle, Adorabeezle and Jubileena to pass them.
As the race gets into the winter mountains, Cinndon catches up to Rancis, however Vanellope bounces off the side and falls behind Adorabeezle, whom has managed to pass Swizzle.
Candlehead, Minty and Gloyd have managed to catch up to Taffyta and Sticky as the five of them trail behind the rest.
Coming out of the sugar caves, Cinndon and Rancis remain neck at neck as Adorabeezle comes up behind them and bumps Rancis, giving Cinndon a slight lead as they cross the finish line.
"Awesome!" Cinndon exclamed as he pulled off to the side to let the rest of the racers through.
Rancis smiles. "Great stuff Cinndon!, Good Racing out there."
Vanelope, Swizzle and Jubileena finish next. "Close one there Swizzle." Vanellope said. "Nearly had fourth."
Swizzle smiled and gave Vanellope a fist bump. "I will get you next time."
Torvald, Creumbelina and Snowanna cross the finish line, closing out the roster.
Soon after, the rest of the racers reach the finish line, with Taffyta closing out the race in last. "Darn, I will get you all next race!" She says, challenging.
All the racers laughed as they went around and congratulated each other for a great race. While the racers were winding down from the race, Creamorana was looking over the research she acquired from Aperture Labs at her hideout inside of Diet Cola Mountain, the Dimentonator and Portal Gun lay on a table near her.
"With this knowledge and technology, I can gather everything needed to build the device needed to reshape the universe, every universe, exactly how I see fit."
