Skye had been in the lab with Tony. He had been teaching her a lot more about suit building and he was teaching her about one of his old suits that he still had lying around he had to go upstairs for something but told Skye she could still work on it as long as she wanted.

She worked down there for another hour before she got a text to come get lunch.

She sighed, got up, and left the lab. She went upstairs to the kitchen where she was handed a plate with a sandwich and some cut-up raw veggies.

"Thank you," Skye said.

"How is this suit coming?" Steve asked.

"I think good. I was in the zone. Until I got a text," Skye said.

"You needed to eat, I don't think you had breakfast either," Steve said.

"No, I didn't," Skye admitted.

"Sit, eat," Steve said.

Skye sat down at the table and Steve sat across from her with his own plate.

"How are you feeling after everything that happened?" Steve asked.

"I don't know," Skye said. "I hate that after all both Loki and I did to become friends that he hates me again. And this time. I don't entirely blame him."

"Yeah. What exactly happened between the two of you?" Steve asked.

"He's angry because I found out things that his brother did and I threw it in his face and threatened to tell everyone if he didn't cooperate with me," Skye said.

"Will you tell me what he did?" Steve asked.

"No," Skye said. "He's dead. Loki misses his brother regardless of what he did. I'm going to respect Loki and not."

"Okay," Steve said. "Did you apologize?"

"I tried to, buthe wouldn't listen," Skye said.

"Give him time," Steve said.

"Not much of a choice, Thor took him to Asgard," Skye said.

"Well. The last thing we need right now is a fight between the two of you. Not when the baby is coming soon," Steve said.

"I'm sorry," Skye said

"I know, I forgive you, Skye. And I hope in time Loki does too," Steve said.

They finished eating and both put their plates in the dishwasher.

"I'm going to continue working on the suit," Skye said.

Steve nodded

Skye went back down to the lab and saw the door ajar. She went in expecting to see Bruce but instead, she saw Morgan playing with the suit that she and Tony had been working on.

"Morgan, what are you doing?" Skye asked calmly, she didn't want to startle the girl.

Morgan looked up at Skye, "I'm playing with my daddy's suit."

"You really shouldn't be Morgan, take it off. How did you get in here?" Skye asked.

"The door was opened and I don't want to!" Morgan said.

"Morgan, I'm not asking. I'm telling you stop it," Skye said more firmness in her voice.

"JARVIS Make me fly," Morgan said.

The suit slowly lifted her off the ground.

"Shit, Morgan! Stop it!" Skye said loudly.

Morgan ignored her and started to fly around the room.

"JARVIS please bring her down. Tony would not want her doing this," Skye said.

But the system didn't listen to her and Bruce came into the room and saw the suit flying around the room.

"Who is in that?" Bruce asked.

"Morgan, JARVIS listened to her to fly her around the room," Skye said nervously.

"JARVIS bring her down," Bruce said.

The girl came down to the ground slowly.

Bruce got the suit off the little girl "Are you hurt?"

"No," Morgan said softly.

"Go to your room," Bruce said.

Morgan went.

Bruce looked at Skye. "Explain. Now."

"I came into the room and she was already in here in the suit, I told her to get out of it but she ignored me," Skye said.

Bruce went over to the computer and checked the security footage and saw Skye was the last one to leave the room leaving the door unlocked. "She got in because you did not lock up."

"I must have forgotten. I take full responsibility for that," Skye said.

Bruce took a breath.

"I'm really sorry," Skye said nervously.

"Get your stuff," Bruce said.

Skye picked up her stuff and went to leave the room.

"I will be telling Tony about this," Bruce said.

"I understand," she said.

"Go," Bruce said.

Skye went to her room and curled on her bed.

Bruce went and found Tony and told him what happened

Tony sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. Morgan had been getting into things she shouldn't have been lately but this took the cake. He thanked Bruce before he went and knocked on his daughter's bedroom door.

"Yeah," Morgan said.

Tony took a breath before going in and crossing his arms at his daughter who was sitting on her floor hugging her knees.

Morgan looked down, "I just wanted to play."

"The things in the lab are not toys for you to play with," Tony said.

Morgan nodded.

Tony sat on her bed. "And you already knew that."

"Yes Daddy," Morgan said sadly.

"And you know you are not allowed to be in there without an adult," Tony said.

"The door was opened I thought someone was in there," she said quickly.

"Okay, but when you got in there and saw no one was in there you should have left the room. Not played with something you know you aren't allowed to," Tony said.

Morgan nodded.

Morgan was a good kid. Tony and Pepper had never needed to do more than give her a timeout or give her a single swat as aconsequence because she had never done anything to warrant more. But this time she had. She knew she wasn't allowed in the lab alone, that she wasn't allowed to touch any of the things that were being worked on in the lab. She also knew that she was supposed to listen to Skye when she told her not to do something. Tony knew he needed to punish her.

"Come up here," Tony said.

Morgan got up and stood in front of her daddy.

He gently lifted her over his lap. "You could have been very hurt. You do not play with the things in my lab, you do not go into my lab without me again, and when any of the adults here or Skye tell you not to do something you listen," he told her before he brought his hand down on her butt.

Morgan started to cry right away.

Tony landed five more swats to her butt and the girl was sobbing.

Tony lifted her into his arms and held her as she sobbed into his shirt. His heart broke a little. He hated that he was the one who caused her to be this upset but he also knew that if Skye and Bruce hadn't gotten there when they did she could have been seriously hurt.

It only took a couple of minutes before the little girl calmed down. Tony stood her in front of him again and held her chin so she had to look at him. "Are you ever going to do that again?"

"No Daddy," she said.

"It's forgiven," Tony said letting her chin go, and hugged her again.

When they broke the hug Tony left her room and went to Skye's room and knocked. When there was no response he opened the door and saw she wasn't in there. He went through the compound looking for her eventually finding her outside in her favorite spot.

Tony sat next to her.

"I'm so sorry, I should have been paying closer attention to closing the door properly," Skye said as tears fell down her face. "I understand I'm in a lot of trouble."

Tony put an arm around her and pulled her into a side hug. "You're in a little trouble. But you know you are not responsible for Morgan's choices. You should have ensured the door was securely locked but I know it was an honest mistake."

Skye nodded.

"One month, you can't be in the lab without myself or Bruce," Tony said. "Just so you remember next time."

"Okay," Skye said.

"But you must have gotten a lot figured out without me for her to have been able to get that suit off the ground," Tony said.

Skye shrugged. "I didn't think to program JARVIS to listen to me. And why did he listen to Morgan?"

"JARVIS runs the whole house. She needs to be able to use it. But I think I will rework it so she can't do something like this again. And I will figure out why he didn't listen to you."

Skye nodded again.

"I am so impressed by you Skye," Tony said.

"Oh?" Skye asked.

"You figured out how to hook up a very coding-heavy system to suit," Tony said.

Skye smiled a little, "yet it didn't listen to me."

"You're right. But you're very new at this, and because you said that. You will figure it out. I'll be there but you will figure out why it didn't listen to you," Tony said.

"Okay," Skye said. "Morgan wasn't hurt right?"

"No," Tony said. "And she and I talked. If she doesn't listen to you again you let me know."

"I will," Skye said.

When it started to gently rain, Tony looked at her, "Okay. Time to get inside."

They both got up and went inside.
