Chapter 6 The masks come off part 1
Today was the day. The day of the graduation exam. All the training, all the studying, all the show, it was for this moment. Today was the day they would become shinobi, not only that, they were as complete as they possibly could be. They'd mastered almost every shinobi skill, learned every chakra nature, and with that they had access to an arsenal of powerful, unique and original techniques. Along with that they ended up with strong bodies and even stronger chakra. Their minds had been honed and strengthened just as much as their bodies, they were truly ready to become ninja. Naruko exited her room with the smell of breakfast hitting her nose, she was wearing her night clothes and entering the kitchen, she saw Kurama almost finished cooking. "Morning, Kurama." She said chipperly with a wave.
"Good morning, Naruko." He tasted the miso soup and noted that it was ready.
She stretched before sitting on the couch, "Today's the day. Seems like it took forever to get here."
"That's what happens when you wait in anticipation, it tends to feel longer than it would have."
She laid across the couch, "Well I've been ready for this for a long time, you know that." A smile spread across her lips, "The mask comes off today, I can't wait."
"You've worked hard, Kit. Breakfast should be ready by the time your finished taking a shower and getting dressed." He said as set he finished cooking a few pork croquettes.
Naruko lightly groaned, "Hmmm, I knew I should have taken a shower last night." She went down the hall towards the bathroom at the end, she stopped at the room to the left of it and let herself in. She expected to find Naruto still sleeping, but not so surprisingly he was on the floor, doing sage training. "Good morning, Sis." He said without opening his eyes.
She saw his new clothes on the dresser, he's probably been up training for almost an hour. "Kurama's making breakfast and it's almost done. I call first dibs on showers."
"I took one before I went to bed last night."
"Ok." She closed the door, went to take a shower and get dressed.
The moment she closed the door Naruto opened his eyes to reveal the golden eyes of a toad with an orange shade over his eyes. He stood up and basked in his sensory abilities as a sage, he could feel the chakra signiture of every person in the village. Compared to his usual sensory abilities, sage mode dialed them to eleven. He was already a skilled sensor before becoming a sage, but with this power in his skill set it opened up so many possibilities and advantages. He had come to enjoy this training, as simplistic as it was. Becoming one with nature, and feeling the life around him was a very tranquil experience, one he felt fortunate enough to bask in.
He got dressed and he checked himself out in his new clothes. Putting them on he checked himself in the mirror and liked what he saw. His hair had grown a bit shaggier, not only that, over the past few months two chin length bangs grew down each side of his face. He looked more like more like Minato than he ever has, many people around the village thought they were seeing the ghost of the Forth Hokage. It became a fun prank that lasted a while. He wore a mid-sleeve black jacket with wide orange lines that ran from his collar and down his arms, a light grey t-shirt with a dragon design underneath, slim fitting black pants and mid-calf black ninja sandals. He wore a summoning scroll for ninja tools on his left wrist, he also had the red swirl of the Uzumaki clan on his back, it was a detail he made sure to add to his outfit.
A little over twenty minutes later Naruko came out of her room, her long blonde hair was styled in pig-tails. She was wearing a short sleeve mid-crop jacket, the sleeves and lower part were black while the rest was orange. The Uzumaki clan symbol was on her back, underneath she wore a short sleeve kusarai shirt. She wore black fingerless gloves, a scroll on her left wrist for summoning ninja tools, black short shorts and thigh length ninja sandals. Her body had been changing over that past few months with her chest blossoming along with the rest of her feminine curves coming in nicely. She loved checking herself out in the mirror and wondered how she'd look in a year.
She spotted Kurama on the couch and Naruto at the table waiting for her. There were two servings of food that each consisted of a bowl of rice, miso soup, fresh fruit and pork croquettes with a cup of water. She sat down across from her brother and gave him a knowing look as she grabbed her chopsticks. "Today's the day." She said confidently.
Naruto met her eyes, matched her smile and nodded his head, "Let's chow down."
"Thanks for the food."
Academy
The twins took a seat at the top row of the middle section, Sasuke was at the end with Naruko in the middle and Naruto on the other end. They took their sweet time getting here, they had the idea to pull a prank before they got started but decided against it. They spoke to Kurama in their mental space while they waited. Their new clothes didn't go unnoticed by some of their classmates, Iruka came in, his eyes visibly shifted when he spotted the twins. He gave an explanation about the graduation exam and they were ready to begin. He passed the written test around and once everyone had a copy the test began, as they figured it was incredibly easy. "This is as easy as I thought it would be, we pretty much learned the whole curriculum before we even entered the academy." Naruko mentally spoke to her brother.
"You know what they say, "School's not a place for smart people"." Naruto responded.
"So how do you want to approach this, Naru-chan? I say we do the bare minimum to pass."
"I agree, we could get perfect scores on everything today, but let's avoid the drama and just be done with all this." Naruko gave him a nod and they did their exam. By the end of the day they had their leaf headbands, much to the surprise of most of their classmates. Everyone ended up passing the exam and were celebrating with their parents infront of the academy. Many were stating how proud they were of their kids, many friends were congradulating each other. Naruto and Naruko made their way to the front after receiving their headbands, being the rebels they were, they didn't want blue like the others, they both wanted black. Naruto's was longer than Naruko's but they both got what they wanted.
"We finally did it~!" The girl happily squealed as she looked at her headband.
"I always knew it would be easy, but I'm finally glad we're done with this." Naruto smiled confidently as he brought a fist to his forehead.
"Let's head to Ichiraku to celebrate!" Naruko excitedly suggested.
"Naruto, Naruko?" A male voice said from behind. Both of them turned around to see Iruka peeping out of a classroom.
"Yeah, Sensei?"
The teacher paused for a moment as if wondering what to say, "Good job, both of you."
Naruko saluted her right index and middle fingers to him, "You aint seen nothing yet, Sensei. Have a good one." She continued walking away with her brother, Iruka followed after them to join the others outside.
They exit the building at spot the familiar white cloak of the Hokage, "Hey, Old Man!" Naruto called out.
The fire shadow turned to face the voice and saw the twins both had a leaf headband. "I see you both have passed, that's good."
"Was there ever any doubt?" Naruko asked sarcastically. Other adults saw that they had leaf headbands, the looks in their eyes made it clear they weren't okay with THEM, being ninja.
"Those kids actually passed?" A woman lowely spoke to her friend.
"It looks that way. To think they'd be allowed to become ninja. I can't believe it." Her friend agreed.
"Those fox brats. This isn't right." A male ninja lowely complained. He was sure he wouldn't be the only ninja to have an issue with this. Everyone figured they'd wash out of the academy, but that didn't happen.
Naruko's blue eyes turned to the source of the whispers, the cheerful look on her eyes shifted to a cold one so piercing even a seasoned shinobi would tense up at the sight of it. "Hey, do you scrubs have anything you want to say to me?" Her tone and question got the attention of everyone, causing all eyes to fall on her.
"Naruko." Hiruzen said in a low, stern tone. He was fully aware of the girl's temper that she inherited from her mother, and that she doesn't have one problem with letting others know what she truly thinks of them.
The people in question all met her gaze and visibly tensed up, "You seem to have an issue with my brother and I becoming ninja. One, who the fuck are you fools to even be talking about us like your opinion matters? And two, I dare you to say that to my face?" The silence that came after these words was palpable, "What, got nothing to say now?"
One of the women sucked her teeth and turned away, "We weren't even talking about you."
"Bullshit, you know exactly what you said. Don't be a coward, say it again?" She said more sternly this time. When the adults remained silent she began to rile up her chakra a little, the intensity of it made Hiruzen's eyes widen in shock. The chakra coming off the girl made everyone tense up who understood what was happening, mainly Inoichi Yamanaka. He was standing with his wife, next to his daughter who was talking to Sakura. Hiashi Hyuuga trembled slightly as he loooked at the girl, Hinata on the other hand had a look of empathy as she watched the scene. She and Naruko had become kinda friends over the past few months, but there was a wall she kept up between them.
Naruko calmed down her chakra, causing most of the adults to let out a relieving exhale. "Losers, you have no backbone at all." A sly smirk spread across her lips, "You spend all that time talking trash about us, but wince up when you're called out. You dumb, crusty bitches kill me." Both women were about to retort to her language when Naruko cut her off, "But I know something about you~.' She playfully sang while pointing at one of the women. "Say what you want about me and Naruto, but at least we'd never betray each other. But you're the type of slut to betray your friend, I saw you and that guy making out in an ally the other day." She pointed a thumb at the man who happened to be her friends husband.
Her own husband became visibly angry, "Is that true?"
"Of course not! You know this child does nothing but cause problems!" She responded defensively.
"This child hates you all though, plus the truth hurts don't it? What reason do I have to lie?" She turned to the man who's expression became doubtful, "They weren't just kissing on the lips by the way, she got on her knees and gave him a different kind of kiss. "Blowjob" I believe it's called, he looked like he enjoyed it." The man snapped after hearing this, lunging at the other man with Iruka having to restrain him, there was a mix of yelling and crying between the two couples. All while the girl enjoyed every moment of it.
The woman who started it all just looked at Naruko who smiled completely unconcerned. Her friend was crying, she was crying, her husband was going crazy, and all the eyes on her made this the most embarrassing moment of her life. "See what you've done?!" She exclaimed, teary eyed.
"All I did was tell the truth. Hurts don't it? It's sad you're trying to put the consequences of your slutty actions on me. You're truly worthless, pathetic, nothing." More tears whelped up in the woman's eyes as she ran from the scene. Naruko turned to face her brother who smiled back at her, Hiruzen's eyes were narrowed, not surprised at all this happened. All he could do was sigh as the girl joined her brother, taking his hand into hers.
"See you later, Old Man, we're going to Ichiraku!" Naruko cheered.
"You wanna come?" Naruto asked.
Hiruzen kept a calm expression, what he sensed from Naruko just now was startling, though he knew he couldn't celebrate this achievement with them. "While normally I'd love to, I have to get back to the office after this. You know we'll have to have a talk about what you just did don't you?"
"Yeah yeah~." She replied unconcerned.
Naruto shrugged and walked away, "Alright, take it easy, Old Man. You're too old to be working so hard."
Naruko waved back to him, "Later."
Hiruzen gave them a smile as they went on their way, "I was worried about them for a long time. They're beginning to walk down the path of shinobi, for some reason I'm not too worried. I think I can finally say your children are fine, Minato, Kushina."
Several of the people watched the twins walk away, many looks on their faces. Some had the same look of contempt, others contained theirs, some were shocked, and others were afraid. "Of course, leave it to Naruko to ruin a happy celebration like this." Sakura commented as she glanced at their sensei still trying to restrain the angry husband.
"You're actually surprised. I'm still surprised they passed." Ino stated, she turned to her father who had a serious expression, he felt the intense chakra coming off the girl, and it was concerning.
"Those two are going to be a real drag." The girls turned to Shikamaru who was standing with Choji who was eating chips.
"Yo, Kurama, you awake?" Naruto asked as they were almost off the academy grounds, there was an explosion of smoke in the trees to their left. The fox stood on a branch, a small smile on his face with crossed arm, "You rang?"
Naruko showed him her headband, "We're offically graduates!"
Naruto smiled brightly while raising a clenched fist, "And it's time to celebrate with some ramen."
"I can go for that." His small smile became a sly smirk, "You kit's wanna race?"
"Ready, set, GO!" Naruko quickly said before disappearing in a flash of speed, Kurama and Naruto were after her in less than a second. The three took to the rooftops and made their own way to the ramen shop, Naruto was in the lead when his collar was grabbed, Naruko pulled him back and jumped over him. She made it to a ledge and as she jumped her leg was grabbed by Kurama who tossed her into Naruto. The fox took to the streets and was quickly accosted by the twins who quickly recovered. They both jumped onto his back and stayed there until he reached the ramen shop.
Ayame greeted the trio with a smile when they hastily entered, "Welcome you three."
"Hey Ayame-Neechan!" The twins said in unison.
"You're looking well." Kurama complimented as he saw three available chairs. Naruto and Naruko got off of him and took a seat.
Teuchi turned from the stove and saw them, "Kurama, it's been a while since you came in."
"I've just been keeping a low profile. Plus, this is a day for celebration." He pointed a thumb at the twins who flashed their headbands, Naruto's was on his head while Naruko's was on her right bicep.
"So, you two graduated from the academy, good for you two. So, I see the mask has finally come off."
"You knew?" Naruto asked the older man.
"Of course I knew. Hell, I still remember the day you two first came in here. I'm sure you've both become strong shinobi."
His words made the two smile fondly, they could never forget their first time in this shop. They were five years old, they were still fresh to living on their own and their cook had been fired for trying to poison them. It was raining, they had nothing to do and were just wandering the streets. That whole day Naruto kept eyeing the shop from the outside, every time they were on this street he found himself gazing at this place. They were holding hands in the rain, looking at the lit up shop when the man inside ushered them in. Naruko instinctively ran away from his gesture, while Naruto looked between the man and his fleeing sister. He caught her and brought her to the shop, something about the man was trustworthy. They were treated to two bowls of ramen as big as their heads, but more than that it was the first time they experienced genuine kindness from the village. It cemented their love of ramen forever, especially Ichiraku ramen.
"Old man, let's get-" Naruto began when Teuchi cut him off.
"I know, one extra pork ramen and two beef ramens."
Naruto smirked, "Yep, but how did you-"
"You two order the same thing almost every time, and Kurama tends to order whatever Naruko does."
Naruko playfully hugged Kurama, "That's because he loves me."
"Or maybe I just prefer beef ramen." Kurama retorted as he gently tried to push her off him.
"This is a celebration, old man! So we're gonna need a couple of bowls!" Naruto exclaimed.
"Coming right up!" Teuchi said as he prepared their food. By the end of their meal they each had made a mountain of bowls. The ramen was good, it hit the spot and was the perfect way to celebrate this milestone. Ayame reached her hand to collect their payment for this, and to her surprise they delivered. They still had plenty of money from when they robbed those bandits a few years ago. They paid the girl plus a tip, much to her delight and left the shop. The sun had started to go down so they decided to walk around and just talk, these were peaceful moments where they could just enjoy each other's company. "Hey, Naru-chan, do you think we'll end up on the same team?"
"I'm going to be pissed if we don't. That was the whole point of being dead last. Since we have an odd number of students in our class, I figured they'd put us on a team with whoever the two best students were. A team of four with us being the best. I can't wait for the team assignments."
The sun had gone down and it was now dark, the twins and Kurama had just been walking around, hanging out and talking. The three were walking through a trail in the woods when they spotted their teacher Mizuki dashing past, trying to look inconspicuous. He was slow to their eyes, so slow that they could see the giant scroll he was carrying. Not only that, Iruka was chasing him, "Hm, well that was weird." Naruto commented.
"Wanna follow them and see what's up, this looks interesting?" Naruko suggested.
"Hm, let's see what our teachers are up to." They all body flickered after the fleeing instructors, they hid in trees as the two stood in a clearinging next to a cabin, piosed to attack.
"Why would you do this, Mizuki?!" Iruka questioned, he had been pelted with Kunai and was bleeding from seveal wounds.
"Iruka, you fool. You could never understand a true shinobi's pursuit of power.
"Power? You and I both know you can't do anything with the power contained in that scroll."
Maybe not me personally. But someone can, who can grant me power, far beyond that of a mere shinobi."
"What do you mean!"
Hi, senseis!" Naruko playfully greeted them with a wave, "What are you guys doing out here?"
Both instructors turned to the voice, easing up at seeing it was just the twins, "Oh, It's just you two demons. This is perfect, I can elimante both of you."
Both of them made confused expressions, "Demons, what are you talking about!" Naruko asked innocently.
"And what's with that scroll, Sensei?" Naruto asked.
"Naruto, Naruko go get help! Mizuki stole the sacred scroll! It contains forbidden jutsu that could put this village in grave danger."
"Really~." Naruto said with an unconcerned smile.
Iruka didn't like that look in his eyes. "Go get help! If that scroll falls into the wrong hands there's no telling the damage that could be caused. Mizuki stole the scroll for his own power."
The twins approached the chunin, Naruto kept a confident grin as he spoke, "Hm, consider me interested. And why would a weakling like you steal something that important, Mizuki?" These words caused them both to look at him with shocked expressions, "I mean we can all tell that even if you got away with the scroll, you don't have the ability to use a single jutsu in it. So who are you stealing it for?"
The light haired chunin sneered at his words, "That's nothing you need to worry about, considering I'm going to eliminate all of you."
Naruko chuckled, "If you think you can do it then go for it. I mean I've always known you were a trash ninja, but if lying to yourself is the only way you can be motivated that's fine."
Mizuki was irked by her coments, he quickly removed one of the fuma shuriken on his back and spun it, "Trash huh? Well see about that, Demon. Die!" He tossed the giant star at Naruko.
"Twins run!" Iruka bellowed as the shuriken gets closer to the twins who just seemed to be standing casually. His eyes widened as he feared the worst.
Naruko stood completely calm as the shuriken stopped just inches from her face. Naruto had caught it, very casually. Much to the surprise of both chunin, they were even more surprised to see Naruko disappear.
"What the-"
"Where'd she-, Ahh!" Mizuki yelled in pain after feeling a mighty blow to the back. He felt the second shuriken on his back shatter as he hit the ground hard, brushing it aside and turning to see what hit him. He saw Naruko standing on the branch where he previosuly stood, both he and Iruka's eyes widend when they saw she held the scroll.
She shot both of them a playful smile, "Look what I've got~."
"Give me that back you demon brat!" Mizuki yelled, brushing aside the pain to stand up.
"You keep saying demon. What does that even mean, Mizuki?" Naruto asked as he casually approached, fuma shuriken in hand. "Are you lying to yourself or something?"
Mizuki sneered, "What, you honestly don't know? It all goes back to the decree thirteen years ago."
"Stop it, Mizuki!" Iruka ordered.
Naruto kept a calm expression, "Would this have anything to do with the Nine-Tailed Fox?"
"It has everything to do wth the demon fox! No one is allowed to tell you the nine tailed fox is inside you two!" Both of them had calm expressions as Mizuki exposed this "Secret" information. "The Fourth Hokage couldn't kill it, so he split it in two halves, one for both of you! The fox spirit that killed Iruka's parents and destroyed our village has taken over your bodies, you two are the nine tailed fox!"
"Stop it!"
"They've all been sneaking aroung hiding things from you two your whole lives. Didn't you think it was strange how the people treated you? Like dirt, like they hated you for just being alive!" Iruka wanted to retort but had nothing to say, as he was one of those people. "That's why you two will never be accepted in this village, everyone hates your guts and it's what you deserve!" Mizuki's words carried the deepest venom as he could muster, to his shock the looks on both their faces weren't shocked at all.
Naruko had cracked open the scroll during Mizuki's whole revelation, using a clone to hold it up, she scanned the first few jutsu written in the scroll. "Mizuki, are you really trying to shock us with information we already know?" These words caused the eyes of both men to widen. She took this moment to whip out a piece of paper and place it over the jutsu formula, she performed a series of one handed handsigns and the paper lit up for a moment. Taking the paper off, she saw the jutsu formula was copied onto the piece of paper, making her smile confidently. She also took note of the Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu, the Great Waterfall Jutsu, and the Reanimation Jutsu and quickly memorized the handsigns. The Reaper Death Seal was also on the list but she already knew it, learning it and its functions back in Uzushio.
"You both knew?" Iruka asked, clearly shocked.
Naruto eyed his sensei, "Kinda hard not to, it's the worst kept secret in the history of kept secrets. The people of the village are incredibly slow, borederline incredibly stupid."
Naruko eyed the jutsu formula for the Flying Raijin Jutsu, "Not only that, you said he sealed two halves of the fox inside of us. That makes it a seperate entity, making us NOT the Nine-Tails. How are you a chunin and believe something so dumb?"
"It's not his fault, Ruko. Hey, senseis? Did you two ever wonder why the Fourth specifically chose to put the fox in us?" Both of them just looked at them, neither of them having any words to respond.
Naruko merely shook her head at the idiocy of her teachers, "Of course you didn't. Taking one look at Naruto and it's incredbly obvious. But the people of the village are fundementally slow, must be something in the water here." She closed the scroll and allowed her clone to hold it. She jumped down from the tree and faced the chunin along with her brother.
Both their eyes were on Naruto, and it was clear neither of them knew what they should be seeing. "Still haven't figured it out yet huh? Some Chunin?" He said mockingly before tossing the shuriken aside.
Naruko gave Mizuki a smile that sent chills down his spine, "I'm sure you know the punishment for revealing the information you just did?" She raised her right hand and to the shock of both men her hand became shrouded in purple electricity. "I've been waiting forever to use this jutsu on someone." The electricity in her hand got even stronger, "Lightning Style: Purple Lighting!"
Iruka was completely shocked, for her to casually whip out such a powerful jutsu was unbelievable, "Naruko, Such a jutsu."
"How is this demon doing that?! Her chakra is so strong it's visible! She shouldn't have the chakra to use lightning style? This is bad!" He thought as fear creaped into his mind, his eyes were glued to her hand.
"Happy to see your minds blown, this is my first original technique. Take a look!" She waved her hand forward and Mizuki screamed in pain as he was struck with lightning that stung and burned his flesh. His screams silenced when in a flash a brutal punch drove into his solar plexus, pain shot through every inch of his body, he was unable to register what was even happening as he went flying back. Naruko wasn't done yet as she electrocuted him again, he was held up from the lightning that surged from her hand and flowed to him, very painfully. Mizuki went limp and slipped into unconsciousness, the girl smiled as with one jerk of her arm she tossed her treacherous teacher through several trees. She deactivated her jutsu and the electricity around her hand faded. "I'd call this a complete jutsu. Sorry for hogging all the action, Naru-chan."
"It's fine, I call dibs on the next one. You know it won't take too long before we do this again."
Iruka was still wide eyed with disbelief, he had no words for what he had just seen. It would have been unbelievable if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes. He always suspected that there was something different about the twins, but his feeling towards them kept him from following his first thought. The injuries he felt were nothing compared to the shame he was feeling right now, all these years he had been their teacher and not once did he try to be a proper one to them. He didn't hate them as Mizuki claimed, but he couldn't get over the feelings he had about his parents when he looked at them. He knew internally it wasn't their fault for what happened back then, but like everyone else he couldn't get over the pain of loss.
"Iruka-sensi, Are you alright?" Naruto asked.
Iruka regained his composure, "Y-Yes, I'm fine."
"Alright, guess we don't need to heal you then. Get to the hospital and get patched up, we'll take the scroll back to the old man."
"What about Mizuki?"
"Well, carrying him would be too much of a pain, so we'll just tell someone where they can find him. Plus I doubt he'll be moving for a while." He turned around to leave, "Let's go, Ruko." She made some playful hums before turning and following him.
Mizuki glanced in the direction of his treacherous colleague, then to the back of the twins. A clone of Naruko handed her the scroll before disappearing in a plume of smoke. "She can make shadow clones, incredible!" He thought as he watched them leave, it again hammered home how he failed them as a teacher. They were this skilled and he didn't know, or rather, they didn't want him to know. "Naruto, Naruko!" They both turned to face him, "What Mizuki said… I-"
Naruto turned back around, "It's fine, Sensei." Iruka's next words caught in his throat. "It doesn't matter what you think of us, we don't care in the slightest. But for the record you ARE a bad teacher. It wasn't hard for you to just treat us like the others but you and the rest at the academy just couldn't do that. But that's your problem, not ours. You can hate us, and be contemptuous all you want, but remember we can always throw it right back. And your animosity isn't going to stop us from being powerfully awesome shinobi, Why?" He turned to face the man with a big smile, "Because we're awesome. Good night, Sensei, see you at the team placements!"
Some time later they were standing in front of the Hokage, the scroll had been put back in it's place, Iruka had gone to the hospital and Mizuki was sent to the torture and interrogation unit.
"Are you two alright?"
"We're fine, given the fact we've always known you were lying to us."
Hiruzen lowered his head, he had seen everything that happened through his crystal ball and knew when they came back it would be time for THIS conversation. "I wanted to protect you both. I didn't think it would get this bad."
"That's kinda hard to believe, Old Man, especially when you could have revealed the truth and saved us both some pain."
Hiruzen sighed, "How long have you known?"
"Since we were five." Naruko answered.
His eyes widened for a moment, they've known about the fox all this time and never said a thing, "Why didn't you mention that, after all these years?"
"What would it have mattered if we did? You knew, the entire village knew, and you had no intention of telling us."
"I wanted to keep it a secret from you until you were old enough to accept it."
"While also accepting all the hatred, contempt and animosity of the village in the meantime?" Naruko added.
"It wasn't supposed to be this way, Naruko. Classified information was leaked to the public, making you both a lightning rod for the villagers' hatred. I wanted your childhoods to be as normal as possible, but other factors prevented that." While that was the truth, he couldn't help but feel bad, as it was the village coming together in their hatred that brought it back together after the Nine-Tails attack. Because of this he had no choice but to decree any talk about the Nine-Tails or the twins' connection to it, punishable by death.
"You do realize that could have been prevented if you revealed the other information the people don't know. Like, who our parents are for example." Naruto said sternly.
Hiruzen's eyes widened at these words, he suspected the fox told them about their parents. And if that was the case it meant they'd known all these years he was lying to them when he claimed to not know, or dodge the question. "What do you know about your parents, Naruto?"
Naruto raised a finger, "One, we know our mom was the jinchuuriki before us. And two, that our dad is so important his face is carved on the cliffside above us. And three, us knowing this information changes absolutely nothing. So, why didn't you tell us this before? Better yet, why didn't you have any intention of telling us this?"
Again, Hiruzen was completely shocked by what they knew. They knew about their parents, knew he knew and lied to them about it. "All of this was to protect you both. The last wish..That the Fourth Hokage made before he sacrificed himself for our village, was for you both to be seen as heroes." The Old Man was stunned when they both burst into laughter at his words, "And what's so funny about that!"
"Everything, Old Man!" Naruko exclaimed, clenching her stomach as he laughing became more boisterous. "The people of this village are terrible, and ungrateful in the worst way. Both our parents gave their lives to protect this place, the people and ensure its future, but they didn't deserve it at all. It's almost as if they died for nothing if they can treat us the way they do!"
The old fire shadow grit his teeth, a part of him was angry at her words but couldn't deny that their lives may have been better if he handled their situation better. "Naruko, the people of this village don't know about your connection to the Fourth, that was my doing. He had many enemies, if I had revealed that he had children you both would have been in danger. When your mother gave birth, the seal on her was weakend considerably. So because of her jinchuuriki status you both were born in secret, outside the village. Only a small few know that Minato had children."
"And again I repeat, "What was wrong with US knowing this?" Naruto repeated. "You never implied you had any intention of telling us this, so why be so forthcoming now?"
"I'm sorry, Naruto. I handled your situation horribly, I realize that now. I didn't think things could get this bad, though I promised Kushina I'd protect you both, I can't apologize for handling this the best way I knew how. I'm sorry life's been so rough for you two, and maybe things would be different if the village knew your connection to the Fourth. But I figured the people would just figure it out. Naruto, you look more like Minato than you ever have."
Naruko turned towards the door, "I'm leaving. Let's double back to this conversation when you're done with the excuses, Old Man." She then left the office without another word.
Naruto stood alone before the fire shadow, "Hey Old Man, I have one more thing to say to you. You and I both know you could have changed our situation in a heartbeat. Our dad's the Fourth Hokage, that would actually mean something. Instead of everyone hating us, we may have been considered the "Children Of Heroes". But that just wasn't possible was it? I'm an idiot, that's the only reason we're still in this village." His eyes were sad and so was his tone as he looked at the hokage, "The Will Of Fire…One big family…What a load of crap." He turned and left the room, Hiruzen wanted to call back for him but the words wouldn't come.
The door closed after Naruto exited, Hiruzen thought back to all the years since the day of the attack. "Lord Third, Please look after… our babies. The boy is Naruto, and the girl is Naruko…Minato and I… Picked those names." Kushina's words that night hit him hard, and seeing how they've been treated in this village made him ashamed as he failed to keep a simple promise. The constant years of Fox Hunts, he's given them money every month and spent time with them when he could, but it was clear he never made quality time for them. Part of him wondered what Biwako would say if she were here, she would have known how to deal with them. While it was his first thought to take them into his residence, after the information was leaked to the public it was no longer prudent. On top of that he didn't trust in his ability to raise them, given how he failed Orochimaru he didn't want to repeat his mistakes.
"Naruto, Naruko… I'm sorry."
Uzumaki apartment
The two walked in silence as they made their way back to their apartment, they make it to the door and let themselves inside. After a few seconds the two burst into laughter, "That old man's gonna be reeling for a while!" Naruko exclaimed.
"He knows we know about mom and dad now, we'll let that bit of information marinate for a while. He'll probably try to have this talk again after our Jonin teacher sees our power."
Naruko stretched, "It's been a long day, I'm gonna go take a shower. But before I do." She pulled the paper out of her pocket and showed it to her brother, "Copied this off the scroll!"
Naruto took the paper and smiled proudly at his sister, "Flying Raijin Jutsu. Nice one, Sis. I know what we're gonna do tomorrow."
Tomorrow
The twins had got up early the next morning, they had some time before they had to take their ninja I.D photos which wasn't until noon. Getting up at six o'clock they went to one of the training grounds to practice the Flying Raijin Jutsu, thanks to their years of training in sealing jutsu, it made this one easy to understand. By the time noon came around they both were able to adequately perform the jutsu. While nowhere near as proficient as their dad, they were sure they would get there with time. They both went to take their I.D photos and when it was done they were sitting in front of the Hokage and Iruka in one of the academy rooms. "So why did you call us in here, Old Man?" Naruto asked calmly with his arms crossed.
"It's about your photo, Naruko. You are really comfortable with this being your ninja I.D?"
"What's wrong with it? I think mine looks really cute, I had the photographer take it like four times." Naruko protested.
"I'm aware." Hiruzen held the photo up, it was a picture of Naruko doing a cute pose, while Naruto's was more serious with him just smiling confidently. He sighed as this just goes back to her rebellious nature. "Fine, I just wish you'd have made it a simple photo. This isn't a modeling set you know."
"No, but I could totally be one in a few years." She put a finger to her cheek and smiled beautifully, "Plus with natural looks like this it'd be a crime not to flaunt them every now and then."
Naruto shot her a gentle look with a small smile, "No one's denying you're not ten types of beautiful, Sis." He thought.
"Hm, her knowing that doesn't help much." Kurama added with a chuckle. "By the way Naruto, are there any girls you're interested in?"
"Not particularly. Ruko sets such a high bar from a beauty standpoint, and almost every girl at the academy is a shallow dumb bitch."
"True, I was just curious. That question was more to get your opinion on the Hyuuga girl."
"Hinata? I don't really have much of an opinion on her. I guess I would call her cute, and she's probably the only girl in my class I could genuinely be around."
"Well she has been watching you two all these years, especially you. You never called her out."
"She saw us training, knew our secret and never said anything. So there was never a need to confront her or embarrass her, she's harmless."
"Alright then."
Sensing a presence approaching the twins, Hiruzen turned to the door just as a boy burst into the room, shuriken in hand. "Old Man, I challenge you! I'm gonna defeat you and become the Fifth Hokage!" He exclaimed before charging at the older man, he didn't get far however as he tripped over his own scarf. He hit the floor hard, making Naruto raise a brow in confusion while Naruko merely smiled, finding this precious and a little funny. The boy picked himself up, bringing a hand to his red face, he groaned with pain, more from his bruised pride than his hurt face.
Right behind him came a man wearing dark shades, a bandanna with a leaf forehead protector and blue from top to bottom. "Honorable Grandson, are you alright?"
The boy continued to nurse his face, noting that he was fine, "Something tripped me."
"This floor is pretty flat, it's kinda hard for you to trip on." The man said as he adjusted his shades.
The boy turned to the twins and instantly locked eyes with Naruto, his expression quickly soured, "I get it!You're the one who tripped me, huh wise guy!"
"You tripped over your own stupid scar you little runt! Either wrap it up some more or grow a few inches."
"Call me Little again!"
Naruto quickly got up and grabbed the loud mouthed kid by the collar, "I'll say again you little runt!"
"You, unhand him right now! That's the honorable grandson of the illustrious third hokage!" The man exclaimed.
Naruto's angry expression eased a bit along with his grip, but he still didn't let the boy go. The boy noticed the older boy's expression and smiled lowely, "Yeah that's right. He's just like everyone else, now that he knows who I am, he won't lay a finger on me." He confidently thought. "What's the matter! I thought you were gonna hit me tough guy! Afraid because the Hokage is my grandfather?!"
"I don"t give a crap if he's your grandmother!" Naruto hits him once in the head, dropping him, "Don't mouth off to me!"
"Ah!" As he fell the body ddn't feel much pain from the blow, but rather a new feeling of respect, "This guy's different."
"Konohamaru!" The man yelled out as the boy hit the ground. "How dare you! You- you- you brute!"
"You really struggled with that didn't you?" He gestured to his sister who stood up and followed him out the door.
"That repugnant child, how dare he." He said with clenched fists.
"Watch that tone, Ebisu." Hiruzen said sternly.
Ebisu quickly regained his composure, "Forgive me,Lord Hokage." His tone changed after the Hokage's words. He knew what those children were just like everyone else in the village, actually a group of around 40 ninja got together last night to collectivily complain about the fact that the fox brats were allowed to be ninja. It was unfathomable to all of them that Lord Hokage would allow that. As Shinobi of this village they all had no choice but to accept it, but that didn't mean they'd acknowledge them, or that they'd be happy about it. Ebisu shook off those thought, he was Konohamaru's teacher and he accompanied him with this childish assault to teach him a lesson, now he had to get back to it. When he turned to the boy he saw that he was gone, "Konohamaru, where'd he go!"
"He followed the twins out of here but I have no idea where they're going." Hiruzen answered casually.
"This is horrible! The honorable grandson being influenced by those children! It's inconceivable! I won't allow it!" He quickly left the room in search of his student.
"Ebisu can be quite eccentric at times can't he." Iruka playfully stated.
Hiruzen sighed as he watch the man leave, "He's off. Konohamaru hanging out with the twins. THey wouldn't teach him anything really bad, would they?" He thought as he turned to Iruka, "Surprisingly he's good at what he does. But he could use some work on that personality of his."
"Lord Hokage?"
"Yes, Iruka."
"It's about the twins, something Naruko said last night. Well… I've just been wondering sir… Did…Did the Fourth Hokage.. Have any children?"
Hiruzen turned to him and pondered his thoughts for a moment, "Iruka, what I'm about to tell you is an S-Ranked secret. One I trust you to act without knowing." The teacher's eyes lit up after registering his words, "Naruto, and Naruko, are the Fourth Hokage's children. As you know, two halves of the fox is sealed within them, they were born on the same day the beast devastated our village. The Fourth Hokage, sacrificed his life, and chose his children to be the living imprisonment if the fox, to save us all. It's only because Naruto and Naruko bearing such a burden that this village is still standing today. they saved us all that day, and continue to keep us safe." Iruka's eyes widened in disbelief at this information. "But that's now how the adults who know chose to view it, in fact their treatment of the twins is so contemptuous, that it has been pick up on by the children, who have no knowledge of the truth."
"But, why was this information not made public? Had we known, the twins might not have been treated so harshly."
"The Fourth had many enemies, Iruka. To keep his children safe, I needed to suppress the information about that night as much as possible. His last wish was for them to be seen as heroes. I regret that that wish was never honored, even though their connection is blantenly obvious when looking at Naruto."
Iruka was stunned, he had no words for what had just been told to him. All these years they had been his students and he never realized their connection to the Fourth. It filled him with even more shame as he had so much time with them and never looked past his pain of losing his parents. They kept the village safe by keeping the fox contained, but he could never see it that way. Now it was too late, they weren't his students anymore, soon they would be someone else's. He became a teacher to help the younger generation of shinobi because he knew how he felt as a kid to not have anyone helping or supporting him. The twins were a prime example of why he became a teacher and he completely went against why he did this in the first place.
Outside
The twins were walking on the street, they were in the midst of placing multiple Flying Raijin marking across the village, they still ad their daily training to knock out and they were both anxious to master Flying Raijin. But before they could focus on any of that they had to address the little pup that was following them, the Old Man's grandson ha been following them since they left the academy. Not that they minded it, but he was trying and failing to be stealthy about it. They were talking as they walked past a wooden fence the didn't match the rest of it, not only that they could see the small feet sticking out from under the sheet of camouflage. Naruto was fed up with the kid's antics, "Alright, enough of the nonsense! That's the worst disguise ever!"
"Should have known you'd see though my disguise, Boss." He brought down the sheet and smiled at having been found out.
"What are you even doing, Kid?" Naruto asked.
"I'm following the boss and you're the boss! Please make me your student?!"
Both twins were equally confused by this, "What, why would I want to teach some weird kid?"
"C'mon please! I have to surpass the old man and become Hokage!"
His tone was almost pleading, Naruko looked between her brother and the younger boy, "C'mon, here the kid out, Naru-chan."
Naruto's expression shifted to slight annoyance, "Alright, tell me the whole story."
The three dipped off into a back street to talk, Konohamaru faced the twins and told them of his situation. Being the grandson of the Hokage he's never felt seen, people only see him as the Honorable Grandson. He wants to become Hokage so that the people will see the true him, Konohamaru Sarutobi. The look in his eyes was enough to at least interest Naruto, who decided to take him on as his student. It was also very clear he liked Naruko, declaring he would make her his woman when it was all said and done. The girl found his antics more cute than anything else, giving him a playful pat on the head, much to his blushing embarrassment. They went to one of the training grounds, they stood in an open clearing as they prepared to begin.
"He's really eager. Do you really think you can train him, Naru-chan?" Naruko mentally asked her brother.
"Why wouldn't I? Plus the kid's got an honest face. I think I've learned a thing or two from Kurama about teaching over the years." He looked at the boy, "So Konohamaru, taking a good look at you, I've got a good idea about what to teach you first."
"What did you have in mind, Boss?"
Naruto smacked the scroll on his wrist and summoned a small black pouch, opening it it revealed several small sheets of paper. "We're gonna get started with these. I assume you've learned how to focus chakra, right?"
"Yeah."
"Well here you go." Naruto gave one to Konohamaru before resealing the pouch.
"What is this, Boss."
"That, is a litness paper, Konohamaru. We're going to find out what chakra nature you have, this paper comes from a special tree that grows by absorbing chakra."
Konohamaru looked at the paper, "What do you mean by chakra nature?"
"It means your elemental affinity." Naruto smiled confidently with a raised finger, "Every ninja can naturally use one of the five elements that make up elemental jutsu. Those are fire, water, wind, lightning and earth." Konohamaru nodded his head at every word he said, "As I said, everyone can use of of these elements naturally, and if you train the right way you can learn more than one."
"How many can you use, Boss?"
"I can use all five, but my affinity is wind. Channel your chakra into that paper and we'll get started. Depending on what nature you have, one of five things will happen. If your nature is fire, the paper will burn, if it's water the paper will get wet, if it's wind it'll tear, lightning will make it wrinkle and earth makes it crumble away. Got it?"
"Yeah, I think so."
"Well let's see what you've got."
Konohamaru closed his eyes and focused, intently holding the paper in his hands as he funneled chakra into it. Nothing happened at first until sudden'y the paper caught fire. "Woah." The boy said in a slightly amazed tone, in aww that his chakra did that.
"Well there you go, you affinity is fire." Naruko commented.
The paper burned and burned until it was consumed by the flame, it almost burnt his finger before he tossed it aside. He stomped it our before the flames spread from the grass catching fire. "Woahm that was really cool! So, what do we do now, Boss?"
Naruto raised two fingers, "Two things, Konohamaru. First thing is I'm gonna teach you a fire style jutsu, this will give you a strong base for the rest of the fire jutsu you learn. And two, I'm gonna teach you chakra control, mastering these two things will put you leagues above the others at the academy."
"Will it put me on the fast track to becoming Hokage?"
"Of course not." Naruto answered with an honest smile that made Konohamaru deadpan, "There's no fast track to becoming Hokage, there's no fast track in anything. If you wanna be hokage you've have to become the strongest of all ninja in Konoha, not only that, your strength needs to be acknowledge and respected. I barely have a reason to care and even I know that much. Point is, it's not something that's gonna happen in a day or two. You have to put your blood, sweat and tears into honing your skills and become strong."
Konohamaru had a fire in his eyes as he held onto every word Naruto said, his initial comment shatterd his expectations, but he didn't say becoming hokage was impossible. "Alright, How do I do it?"
"Fire style is pretty simple on paper, he made a one handed tiger seal, " Gather chakra in your stomach, super heat it up and release it through your mouth." Naruto took a few steps from the others and looked through the area, seeing he had plenty of space to do this without setting the woods around them on fire. "Watch and learn, kid." He quickly did a series of handsigns, four in total before finishing with the tiger seal, "Fire Style: Flamethrower Jutsu!" He released a massive wave of flames from his mouth that stopped twenty meters from him thanks to his control. Konohamaru was amazed, the heat of the jutsu was so intense it threatened to burn his clothes. The heat hurt his eyes just from looking at the column of flames. The flames dissipated, and Naruto turned back to Konohamaru, "This will be your base. Master this jutsu and the other fire jutsu you learn will be second nature in learning. But honestly, I don't expect you to pull this one off, that's why the chakra control training will be so important."
Konohamaru nodded in acceptance, Naruto taught him the handsigns and he got to training. As Naruto expected Konohamaru was barely able to spit out a tiny torrent of flames, it looked more like his breath was on fire than an actual flamethrower. Naruko watched him as Naruto gave the boy guidance, she smiled fondly at the two. "He's actually pretty good at this, I'm impressed. Seems he's learned how to teach from watching you, Kurama." She mentally spoke to the fox.
"You know how Naruto is, he puts in the most effort when he actually cares about something. Something about this boy must have interested him, though I'm surprised by Naruto setting the boy up to fail by teaching him a jutsu he'd never be able to learn properly in a day. I understand why he did it but still."
"Naru-chan has his own approach to things, always has. You and I both know how unorthodox his mind can be."
"True enough.
The hours passed on with Konohmaru continuing to practice the Flamethrower Jutsu. Over and over again he failed to do it properly, he didn't have the chakra or the control to fully use the jutsu. This was Naruto's plan as after taking a break they dropped that training for now and moved onto something that would make it easier for him to learn that jutsu, Tree Walking. This wasn't any easier for the boy, Naruto explained the difficulty and this was an important drill that did wonders for chakra control. Naruto explained to him the importance of chakra control, and that is probably the most important thing about performing jutsu of any kind, something Konohamaru listened to. It was late in the afternoon and the sun was starting to go down, by this point the boy was only able to climb up five meters. His natural control was slightly better than Naruto had anticipated. Naruto kept him assured when he downed himself about his progress, keeping the boy going and not allowing him to quit.
Konohamaru laid on his back, he was completely spent, never in his life had he pushed his body so much in one training session. He had burns around his mouth, and his body was aching and exhausted from chakra depletion, he had nothing left to give. A shadow loomed over him, blocking out the afternoon sun, "Still ready to go, kid?"
The younger boy breathed heavily, "I got… Nothing… left Boss… I'm spent."
Naruto smiled as he extended a hand to the boy, "Give me your hand."
Konohamaru weakly did so, the instant he did he felt a burst of energy and his fatigue was gone. He quickly stood up, "Woah, how'd you do that, Boss!"
Naruto brought a finger to his lips, "That's my little secret. Your chakra should be back at 100% and then some." Naruto and his sister's eyes shifted as they sensed a presence.
"So this is where you've been!" Came a voice before a figure dropped from a tree, it was Ebisu and he didn't look happy.
"Oh it's…What was your name again? I'm gonna go with Gon." Naruko asked sarcastically.
"My name is Ebisu, and I've come to take back to the Honorable Grandson." His eyes narrowed to the look of contempt the twins were used to seeing behind his shades, "Hopefully it's not to late to save him from being influenced by them, the Nine-Tailed Fox." He thought.
Both the twins eyes narrowed when they saw his expression, "You say that like we kidnapped the kid or something. We've been training all this time, so watch the look!"
Ebisu's expression didn't falter, merely turning to Konohamaru, "Let's go, Konohamaru, you shouldn't associate with such reputable children."
"What, no way! The Naruto is really strong, and he's been helping me train."
"Oh, and excatly what kind of training have you been doing?"
"Take a look, Dumb-Dumb." Naruko answered, pointing a thumb.
Looking to where she was pointing he saw the miltiple kunai cuts on a tree, implying he was training in tree walking, something he should have taught him for chakra control. Looking at Konohamaru he saw that he had several burn marks around his mouth, meaning he's been practicing with a fire style jutsu. And just taking an overall look at him it's clear he's been training very hard over the last couple of hours. "I see. Be that as it may, you shouldn't associate yourself with these two, Konohamaru. These children are repugnant and the worst kind of delinquents, whatever they may have taught you is incomparable to my teachings. Only my special training can put you on the fast track to becoming Hokage!"
"There is no fast track to becoming Hokage." Konohamaru stated, shocking Ebisu, "Check this out!" He quickly did the hand signs, gathered as much chakra as he could and heat it up. "Fire Style: Flamethrower Jutsu!" He fired the biggest wave of flames he could at Ebisu, it was his first successful attempt all day, it was a genuine wave of fire. Ebisu however wasn't impressed, as he waved a hand and the fire dissipated.
Konohamaru was in shock, "Hey, he wasn't defeated?!"
"Keep practicing, kid." Naruko, encouraged. "Be proud though, you finally did it right." He turned to her and her smile made him blush a bit, making him feel proud and accomplished.
"All I did was help the kid out because he asked. If you have a problem with that we can fight right now." Naruto warned.
Ebisu smiled while raising his glasses, "I beg your pardon, but do you have any idea what your saying?"
"Obviously, that why I said it."
"Hm, very well. Such arrogance is dangerous in the world of shinobi, as an instructor I suppose I should correct your behavior right now."
"This guys sure loves to hear himself talk?" He thought as Ebisu approached and got ready to fight.
"In case you haven't figured it out, I'm a Jonin. An elite ninja warrior, I'm not some lightweight like Mizuki."
"You're right, but you're clearly no heavyweight."
Ebisu was visibly irked by that comment, he was going to enjoy this. He smiled confidently as he took a stance, "Ready."
Naruto turned to Konohamaru, "Hey, Konohamaru? Since you're my student, let me make you a promise right now. When you graduate from the academy, I promise to teach you this jutsu." Naruto summoned a kunai and tossed it at Ebisu who caught it with little effort.
What was that? There's nothing special about throwing a kunai."
"Be careful, Boss." Konohamaru thought with concern, while Naruko smiled in anticipation of how her brother was about to destroy this guy.
"I wasn't talking about that one. He couldn't use it anyway." He raised his right hand, "I was talking about this." Chakra swirled in his right hand until it formed a rasengan, Konohamaru was in aww of how amazing that jutsu looked. While Ebisu was in complete shock.
"That jutsu! That's- impossible! How could that child perform a jutsu like that? The Fourth Hokage's jutsu, the only shinobi capable of that are Lord Jiraiya and Kakashi! How could he possibly?" He stopped, and the look on Naruto's face shook him to his core. His blue eyes were so cold, his rasengan swirled and roared with chakra, and they way his blonde hair flowed reminded him of a moment from the last great war. He and his squad were pinned down by enemy ninjas, thanks to the intervention of the Yellow Flash they made it out alive. He never forgot the serious look of anger on Minato-Sensei's face that day, and the way Naruto was looking at him was exactly the same, frighteningly so. It was if Lord Fourth himself was staring him down, seeing him as his worst enemy. As he kept eye contact with Naruto, many of the boy's facial features began to look familiar to him, everyone knew Lord Fourthsealed the fox in him and his sister, but he never thought about it any further than that.
He never noticed it until now, but Naruto looks very similar to Lord Fourth. Since he knew about them he treated them with the same contept as the rest of the village, but as the boy's gaze bared down on him he had a horrifying realization. Something that was so obvious it's pathetic no one ever suspected it, his resolve wavered and he didn't want to fight anymore. "Naruto! Wait, hold on!" He raised his hands defensively when in a flash the boy appeared before him.
"Thanks for holding that kunai." Naruto commented, knowing it had been marked with Flying Raijin. He shoved his rasengan into Ebisu's unguarded stomach, the Jonin's eyes widened as the ball of chakra pushed him back a bit and brought him off the ground. The wind was knocked out of him, he couldn't stop himself as his body began violently spinning sideways like a pinwheel. "Rasengan!" Naruto called out as his attack blasted Ebisu away, tearing through multiple tree.
Konohamaru was amazed by the Boss' power just from that one jutsu, and he promised to teach it to him when he graduated.
"Some Jonin, and that was a pretty weak Rasengan." Naruko commented, noting she would have hit him harder.
"Hm, I sent him through about ten trees, I only wanted to send him through six. Gotta work on that." Naruto said as he turned back to the others.
"That was amazing, Boss! What kind of jutsu is that?!"
"I'll tell you later, right now I'm hungry, let's go get some ramen."
Naruko stood up and did a light stretch, "Today's been a long one, hasn't it? Let's go!"
Konohamaru gestured to the trail of destruction that buried his teacher, "What about him?"
"Don't worry he's not dead, or at least I don't think he is. But digging him out of that and carrying him to the hospital would be a major pain in the ass, so we'll just leave him there and tell someone where they can find him." Naruto replied as he walked away with his sister.
"Are you sure, I mean he's right there?"
"It's fine, Konohamaru." The boy merely shrugged and joined the twins to go get some ramen.
He was excited about how they would train tomorrow, Naruto assured him they would train tomorow, but the day after that he'd be assigned to a genin team, and would only be able to train him sparingly. Konohamaru accepted this and looked forward to their next training session, his crush on Naruko became more apparent as the girl's playful teasing never failed to get a blush out of him. They headed to Ichiraku and spent the afternoon enjoying a few bowls of ramen, Konohamaru had never been here and they were eager to put him on to the delicious taste of Ichiraku ramen. The twins hated most of the people in this village, but they both found that they liked this kid. He was interesting, and his motivation for becoming stronger was understandable, the kid could very well be Hokage one day.
Chapter 6 is done and done. Leave a review on the chapter and come back next time because things are about to get interesting. I want to set the Dynamic off right with team 7, as in this story there will be a lot of trolling and roasting on the twins part. You'll get a good feel of their strength and how they feel about their team. You'll get some exposition about stuff on the side so after thenext hapter we can just dive into the Land Of Waves Arc. Next time, the twins are assigned to a Genin team, pull pranks on Sasuke and Sakura, meet Kakashi, do the bell test, and Naruko gets her first. See you then.
