Chapter 7 The Masks come off part 2
Chapter 7 here we go! Really wanted to use this chapter to showcase the twins power as well as their bond. The dynamic among their sensei and teammates will be established here and will be expanded on later. Naruto and Naruko are a very powerful pair and as the story goes on just how powerful will become a terrifying realization. Enjoy!
Today was the day of the team assignments and the twins were excited. After all these years of training it was time to finally become ninjas and go out on missions. They both wondered who would be their teammate or teammates. It didn't matter as neither of them really cared, but there were a few select peope they definetly didn't want to be on a team with. It was wishful thinking, as the deadlasts they'd likely be put on a team with the best students, it was an annoying possiblity to consider. They got up early for morning training with Kurama, they sat on the ground across from each other, gathering nature energy to go into sage mode. A shade of orange appeared around both of their eyes, Naruto opened his first revealing the golden eyes of a toad with Naruko doing the same almost ten seconds later.
Kurama stood to the side as he watched them stand up and get in their respective stances, their eyes were focused on each other and in an instant it began. Naruko rushed forward and was in Naruto's face in an a flash, Naruto raised a forearm to deflect her punch, he countered with a punch to her face that she swats down and raises her wrist to strike his chin. Naruto uses his left hand to catch her wrist and goes for a palm strke to her face, Naruko dodges and goes for a low kick that Naruto uses his own leg to block. This turned into a high speed taijutsu flurry with the twins unable to land a hit on the other, the sensory abilites of Sage Mode were nothing short of awesome. While they've spent years training their senses, the extra sensory abilities of being a sage made combat more insightful.
Kurama watched the two train, he was always impressed when he watched them. Whether they were sparring with him, or with each other, every time they did their fighting sense and techniques inproved. Training with them has inproved his own skills, as they genuinely posed a challenge to him during spars. He wondered how strong they would become, and neither of them were close to their peak. Today would be the beginning of their ninja careers, and he waited in anticipation at what they would become. He was truly proud of them, after losing everything once, he never thought he'd have a treasured connection with human's again, but then these two came into his world. Every moment they've spent together has been a good one, and he looked forward to more.
Naruto got around Naruko's gaurd and landed two punches to her face, Naruko tanks the hits and catches his third punch, she uses his hand to weave a series of hand signs. With her final handsign Naruto registers she preparing a lightning style jutsu, he quickly backs up weaving signs for a wind style jutsu to counter. "Lightning Style: Thunderclap Arrow!" Naruko called out as blue lightning shrouded her right hand.
"Wind Style: Air Bullet!" Naruto thought as his cheeks bloated. They released their jutsus symotaniously, and a giant compressed ball of razor sharp wind was fired from Naruto's mouth. Just then Naruko threw her hand out and three large arrow shaped bolts of lightning honed in on her brother. The attacks collided making a large explosion of chakra, two of the lightning arrows collided with the wind bullet and were overwhelmed but managed to cancel it out. But the last one kept going. Naruko smiled confidently before her lightning arrow was dispelled and a giant ball of wind came for her. The girl jumped to dodge the deadly blast, "Of course, I make three lightning arrows and he fires two air bullets knowing two would cancel it out. That's just like you, Naru-chan." She smiled as she quickly weived another series of handsigns, "Fire Style: Foxfire Jutsu!" She called out as five large balls of fire appeared behind her, they took the form of foxes and charged at Naruto.
"No fair, Ruko! We agreed no Foxfire!" With swift movement he dodged the assault of flaming beasts', whipping out a scroll he places it on the ground a performs some handsigns, "Fire Seal!" He called out before slamming his hand to the ground, the beasts were almost upon him when the seal activated and they were all caught and dragged into it. Naruto looked back towards his sister who had a look of amusement as she made the handsign for shadow clones, in sync with her as always he did the same.
"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!" The both called out in unison as a huge plume of smoke appeared behind each of them, when the smoke cleared there stood one hundred clones behind both of them.
"Uzumaki clone war!" Naruko playfully called out as she quickly weaved more handsigns with about twenty clones matching her speed.
"Been a while since we had one of these." Naruto noticed that the real Naruko and ten of her clones were weaving different signs from the other ten. "My clones will always be beter than yours, Sis!" He exclaimed as twenty of his clones began quickly weaving the same signs, fishing just as Naruko readied her next attack.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthough!" Ten clones called out as they performed the jutsu and fired an powerful blast of wind at the army of Narutos. The real Naruko and her other ten clones all performed a tiger seal, "Fire Style: Dragon Roar Jutsu!" Releasing large blasts of fire, they combined with the wind and transformed into an enormous wave of fire that could incinerate half the village and everything in its path in one shot.
"Water Style: Water Wall!" The call called out as they all released tsunami sized walls of water that collided with the incoming wave of fire. The attacks canceled each other out and the training ground was completely engulfed in a heavy cloud of steam. Both sides charged at each other and the sounds of battle rang throughout the fog. 100 Narutos vs 100 Narukos, the twins and their clones battled in the steam, a pair traded blows before the Naruto destroyed the Naruko clone. It couldn't celebrate before it was slashed in the back by a Naruko and was destroyed. That same Naruko dodged a kunai from a Naruto that hit another Naruko, she rushed at him with the Naruto dodging her deadly sword strokes. Catching her horizontal slash between his hands, the Naruto smiled confidently before it exploded, taking out several Naruko's and a Naruto with him.
A Naruko dropped to sweep the legs of a Naruto that tried to strike from her blind side, dispelling it in the process. She quickly flipped to the side to dodge a kunai from a Naruto, while still in mid air the clone tapped the scroll on her wrist and tossed three lightning enhanced shuriken at the Naruto. She wasn't done as she quickly weaved signs, "Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu!" The three shuriken became twenty, forcing the Naruto to jump back, he was cornered by another Naruko who's kick dispelled him. Five Naruto's yelled in pain as they were electrocuted by purple lightning, a Naruko had been cornered and used the technique to win. On both sides their clone armies were being chipped down, the poofing of another clone could be heared every ten seconds.
Every element of jutsu was being thrown around, the ground rumbled as earth spikes raised up. Blades of wind tore across the battlefield. Torrents of pressurized water wrecked the place. Bolts of lightning scattered all over, leaving much destruction in their wake. Fire scorched the area, leaving scars on the earth and surrounding wood. These were fun battles, it was great at simulating war and in the moment combat, neither side had time to react and had to be able to attack and adapt on the fly.
The real Naruko faced a group of Narutos, she raised her katana, coated it in wind chakra and dashed forward. "Wind Style: Dust Whirlwind Cutter!" Naruko called out as she unleashed several horizontal circular slashes, creating a deadly cyclone of razor sharp wind that tore through the battlefield. Many Naruto's were destroyed even if it didn't make direct contact. Most of the steam had faded and the battlefield was clear, finishing her attack and looking ahead, Naruko saw the real Naruto with his hands forming a water jutsu.
"Water Style: Giant Vortex Jutsu!" Naruko immediatly stopped and tried to get back as she knew what was coming. Naruto wasn't letting that happen as he smiled confidently as swirling water circled around him before forming a massive vortex of water that tore through the battlefield. The Naruto had gotten out of the way but most Naruko were caught up in it, including the real one. His attack was devastating but he want finished yet, "Lightning Style: Thunderbolt!" He called out as the lightning surged into the water, destroying the remaining Naruko clones and leaving the training ground an absolute mess. Naruto looked at the aftermath of their training and was content, this was a good warm up before they became Genin. He looked at the destruction, knowing his sister was at the end of it. "Hm, Ruko's gonna be pissed when she gets back. On the bright side she won't need to take a bath this morning." This comment got a laugh out of his sixteen remaining clones.
A dripping wet Naruko suddenly appeared before him, before he could react she decked him in his solar plexus. All the air was knocked out of his lungs and the fresh pain of her surprise attack coursed through his body. All the remaining clones were dispelled and Naruko smiled confidently as Naruto brought his hands to his stomach. "Lame…Ruko." He managed to say before he fell on bended knee. "Flying Raijin, when did she-?" He thought before his eyes caught a glimpse of a kunai near his left foot that was marked with the jutsu formula. They really needed to get special kunai for that.
Naruko flexed her arms, a beautifully bright smile on her face, "I win. Shouldn't have let your guard down, Naru-chan."
Naruto quickly acclimated to the pain, he smiled slyly at his sister, "Yeah, you're not wrong. But you're gonna pay for that one, Ruko!" He reached up and grabbed the back of her left quad and she wobbled a bit, letting out an audible giggle. This was one of her many weak spots, Naruko was very ticklish and no one knew her spots better than he did.
He quick and playfully massaged it more and Naruko dropped to the ground, "Naruto stop it!" She laughed as she tried to move his hand, his hand left her quad only for both his hands to go to her waist. Naruko was laughing harder and kicking furiously, "Naru-chan! Seriously… That's not fair!"
His tickle attack didn't let up, his hands moved to every one of her sensitive spots, Naruto smiled at his sister's squirming, he always loved seeing her smile and hearing her laugh. Plus it's been a while since he whipped out the old Tickle Attack, it never failed to subdue her. "Say it's my win!"
"Never!" His tickling got rougher and tears were starting to slide down her cheeks, she tried to block his assault to no avail, blocking him at one spot just made him move to another.
"Say it's my win, Ruko! The Tickle Attack is unbeatable!"
One of his hands was massaging her right thigh while the other was working on her stomach. She couldn't stop him at all, the ticklish feeling spread through her whole body. Naruto's done this since they were kids, part of her hated she was so ticklish, it was a weakness Naruto was quick to exploit over the years. "Touch my boob and I'm gonna tell mom!" She playfully exclaimed as his hand went close to her chest.
"Tell her, she's not coming to save you!" He playfully replied.
Kurama stood near them with crossed arms, he was truly proud how far these two had come. The fox smiled slyly and joined Naruto in his Tickle Attack, going straight for her shoulders the girl instinctively tried to raise them but Kurama's wasn't letting up.
"You too, Kurama!"
"Naruto, get her lower half, I've got her top half!"
"Betrayal!" Naruko dramatically exclaimed. She was helpless as Naruto and Kurama tickled and massaged her most sensitive spots. "I hate you both!" Tears were now streaming down her face and her whole body felt giddy from tickling. Naruto was working on her thighs and quads, while Kurama was working her shoulders and waist. "Alright, I give! I give! I give! Stop it!" With these words the tickling stopped, and she laid on the ground, needing a moment for the feeling to fade.
Naruto smiled as he threw up two peace signs, "I win!"
"Shut up!"
Naruto acted as if he were going to tickle her again with Naruko instantly recoiling at his hand, "Don't you dare!" She exclaimed, smiling happily. "I'm gonna get you back for that, Naru-chan!"
"Why? Who else is better to exploit your biggest weakness than your big brother? Plus Kurama helped out."
"Oh you both will pay for this one, make no mistakes about that." She said with a sly smile, turning to look at Kurama."
Kurama nonchalantly rolled his eyes, "Oh I'm so scared." He casually commented before he picked her up and held her bridal style, something that surprised Naruko who eagerly welcomed it. "Let's head home."
"Okay!" Naruko smiled happily while bringing her hands together, she practically had hearts in her eyes, she was truly happy right now. Losing another clone war to Naruto quickly became an afterthought.
Naruto glanced to the tree line, knowing someone had been watching them for a while now. He turned and led the way, after they left there was a figure who dropped down from his hiding place in the trees. A smile spread across his lips as he was impressed by such power, these two were what youth was all about. He came out here for morning training, but was treated to the best show he'd seen in a long time. It was still early so there were few people on the streets. Kurama didn't walk around the village in his human form often, but this was one time he figured why not? Naruko was very happy being carried like this, he didn't want to disappoint her after already coming this far. They made it back to the apartment, the twins went to their rooms to change and take a shower, they had a little over an hour before they had to get to the academy, so this was ample time to get dressed, eat and clear their minds.
Kurama prepared breakfast while the twins got dressed, after some eating and talking the two made their way to the academy. They picked two empty seats in the middle section on the left side of the room. Naruko sat in silence while Naruto pulled out a book to read, one by one their classmates filled the room. She turned around, sensing Hinata watching her and her brother and gave the girl a look of acknowledgment. Ino and Sakura burst into the room having raced each other, this started an argument between all the girls to who would sit next to Sasuke. Naruko always found this annoying and pathetic, after today she'd never have to deal with these shallow heffers again and it couldn't come fast enough.
Kiba came down the steps with Akamaru on his shoulder, he sneered slyly when he spotted the twins, "Hm, I had to see it to believe it, they actually let you losers pass." They kept as they were, these words not getting the slightest reaction out of them. Feeling ignored, Kiba decided to snatch Naruto's book, the moment he did Naruto gripped his forearm like a vice. He dropped the book as quickly as he grabbed it, grunting in pain as he felt his bones crack a little. "Let me go Naru-" His retort caught in his throat from the cold look the blonde was giving him.
"I'm choosing not to break your arm, Kiba. Do that again and the arm comes off, do you understand me?" Kiba fearfully nodded and he let him go. He walked away nursing his arm with Akamaru wimpering a little.
"Stop trying to act cooler than Sasuke." Sakura exclaimed.
"Stop being a dumb whore!" Naruko shot back with venom, making her shut up.
Iruka came in and gave some congradulations about becoming Genin, he explained the three man squad and the jonin leaders. He also added that since this class had an odd number, one squad would have four, many students began to speculate and hope who would be on teams. Iruka got through squads 1-6 fairly quickly and they were unimpressive. "Now for squad 7. Naruto Uzumaki." The blonde in question took interest at hearing his name, "Sakura Haruno." Naruto's expression became visibly annoyed while Sakura deadpaned, "I'm doomed." They both thought in unison. "Sasuke Uchiha." Sakura cheered while Naruto's expression deepened. "And Naruko Uzumaki."
"Yay!" Naruko gleefully cheered, releif washing over her as she was just as worried as Naruto. She hugged her brother who eased up, "We're on the same team, Naru-chan!"
"Was there ever any doubt?" He asked with a smile.
"You were totally worried for a minute there."
"Not as much as you. But fortunately all is right with the world." Them being on the same team is all that truly matters, even if they do have to be on a team with the two people in this room they'd rather not be the most.
Iruka went on to assign the rest of the teams. After lunch they would meet their Jonin senseis, they were dismissed and just needed to report back then. Everyone left the classroom, most of them grouping up to go eat lunch together and get to know each other. The twins stepped outside and saw Sakura calling for Sasuke, "Sasuke, where'd he run away so fast? Since we're in the same group I thought it would be a good idea to have lunch together and get to know each other."
Naruto ignored his instincts and Naruko tugging on his arm and apprached the pinkette, "Hey Sakura?" The girl turned to him with a clearly annoyed expression, he contained his own though he didn't like her look. "Since we're on the same team, do you want to each lunch together and get to know each other?"
"Why would I eat lunch with you, how could that thought even cross your mind?"
"Because until I become a chunin I'm gonna have to deal with you on missions. I'm trying be nice, but tell me right now if you're just gonna be a general bitch or not so I can put you on my "Fuck You Forever" list, being friends with you really isn't neccesary here."
Sakura's eyes widened as she registered his words, they shifted to white with anger as she balled up a fist to punch him, "What did you just say to me you idiot!" She felt so strong, so above him. That was until her fist was caught and gripped so hard the bones in her hand ached and her wrist was bent down, nearly breaking. She froze in fear from Naruto's cold expression, it was so intimidating she whimpered.
"This was a waste of time." He calmly stated before giving her a light shove, making her fall on her ass. Naruko shot the other girl a quick death glare before smiling and taking her brother's arm and leaving with him. "You were right, you don't have to say it."
"Just you knowing that is good enough for me."
After lunch everyone had gathered together in the classroom and waited for thei jounin teachers to arrive. One by one all the jounin came to meet their squads until it was only squad 7 that was left. "Our so-called teacher sure loves to take their time." Naruto thought in their sharemed mental plain.
"This IS pretty telling. We probably got appointed some dog-shit sensei with relative talent." Naruko added.
"That definitely wouldn't surprise me."
In the room as they waited there was silence between the group. Sakura' kept oogling at Sasuke, the Uchiha's looks and talent filling her every thought and making her happier to be on his team. Sasuke on the other hand kept glancing at Naruko. It was quietly acknowledged she was the prettiest girl in the academy, and Sasuke's always had a slight interest in her. Her assertive personality, and despite her lack of talent she never allowed herself to be disrespected. He thought that maybe if he trained her, she could become someone suitable for helping him restore his clan.
"Why is he looking at me like that?" Naruko thought.
"Maybe he thinks you're cute." Naruto joked.
"Obviously I'm cute. But the way he's stealing glances at me is kinda creepy."
"Want me to call him out?"
"No, it's fine. It's not like he'll do anything. Plus I'm not a shallow whore like Pinky over there."
"Still, we got stuck on a team with the two people we didn't want the most. This is going to be an "Experience"."
"No promises I won't end up hurting someone."
"And I'll probably be right there with you. Let's just see who our "Teacher" is."
"Not like it matters, we've got our own three man squad." She happily thought.
Just then a jounin with spiky silver hair entered the room, his forehead protector covered his left eye with a mask covering most of his face. He had a calm yet bland expression like he didn't want to be here. There was silence for a moment as he sized them all up, he gripped his chin as if accessing his first impression of them. "Well, my first thoughts about this squad is…I hate you."
These words caused Sakura and Sasuke to silently deadpan while the twins remained calm. "Well, I guess we can add you to the list." Naruto said coolly.
"What list?"
"The "Fuck You Forever List"." Naruko answered casually with a smile befire standing up. "Don't worry, you're in good company, most of the village is on it."
The jounin and the other genin were in complete shock, the older ninja regretting his choice of words. He glanced at Naruto with slight shame, he looked so much like his sensei he was a visible reminder of his failure from that night. He sighed, "Let's head to the roof for introductions." With that he body flickered away.
"Slow poke." The twins thought in unison.
"Looks like you called it, Ruko."
"I knew we'd get saddled with a bum."
"Let's get this over with."
"Right behind you, Naru-chan!"
"Naru-chan? Didn't know you were a girl, Loser." Sasuke slyly insulted.
His words went ignored, something that didn't sit well with Sakura, "Didn't you hear Sasuke talking to you?!"
The twins were about to leave the room when Naruto chose to stop and face them, "I can hear him just fine Pinky, I just find it ironic how someone with a duck's ass for a haircut can think I'M the loser." Sasuke felt a slight blow to his ego from this insult, Sakura grit her teeth wanting to swing at him, but she remembered what happened earlier. This caused a bit of tension which the twins ignored and the ll went to the roof where they found the joinin reading a book. He leaned against a railing while the four sat on the steps in front of him.
"Alright let's start, introduce yourselves."
"How do we do that, Sensei?" Sakura asked with clear confusion.
"Is she an idiot?" The twins thought in unison.
"Just tell the group about yourself. Things you like, hate, hobbies, dreams of the future."
"Well, why don't you go first and show us how it's done." Sakura suggested.
"Me?.. I'm Kakashi Hatake. Things I like and things I hate..I don't feel like telling you that. Dreams for the future…Never really thought about it. As for hobbies, I have lots of hobbies."
"Well that was a fairly useless introduction." Naruko bluntly stated.
"I take it casually reading porn in the open is one of those hobbies." Naruto joked.
Kakashi shifted from slight embarassment, "Well now that I've gone, how about you all go. Starting with you." He gestured to Naruko.
"My name is Naruko Uzumaki, I like training, ramen, having fun and hanging out. Old man Tauchi and Ayame from Ichiraku aren't bad. I hate this village and more or less everyone in it, and my future dream is to be powerful and live a life away from these terrible people."
Kakashi registered her response, concerned by her feelings for the village. "Alright, you next."
"I'm Naruto Uzumaki, my interests are the same as my sister's plus I like to read and come up with new types of seals. I hate the village too, and my dream for the future…If I had to say, it's to be as powerful as possible." He wanted to add making those who wronged them pay, but decided against that wording. He couldn't wait to flex their powers and show everyone how strong they truly were, the fear and realization would be so entertaining he could hardly wait.
"Minato-Sensei would be so disappointed." Kakashi thought for a moment. Still, he'd need to tell the Hokage about all of this. Part of him did feel bad for not being there for them, but couldn't have imagined they'd turn out like this. "Alright, your turn."
"My name is Sakura Haruno!" She said with a smile and bright blush. "What I like..I mean the person I like… My dream for the future…" She jittery glanced at Sasuke but never fully answered.
"What a shallow dumb bitch." Naruko thought with Naruto nodding in agreement.
"Of couse. Girls her age are more interested in boys than in ninja training." Kakashi thought. "Alright, so what do you hate?"
"These idiot twins!"
"Look at that Naru-chan, the useless whore hates us."
"I'm not useless or a whore!" She defensivly shot back.
"Prove it. But if it quacks like a duck." Naruto casually commented.
"Enough, settle down you three. Let's wrap this up, you in the middle."
"I am Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things, and I don't particulalry like anything. What I have is not a dream, because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan, and destroy a certain someone."
"What a brooding emo." The twins thought in unison.
"Sasuke is so hot!" Sakura happily thought.
"So the rumors are true." Kakashi thought. The look in the uchiha's eyes telling him all he needed to know. With a clap he got the attention of the squad, "Alright, you're all unique in your own way. Now comes the second part of the genin exam, I'll see you all tomorrow at training ground 3."
"What do you mean, Sensei?" Sakura asked, speaking for the group.
"We're going to do a survival test together, and this will decide whether or not you become genin."
"Wait, we've already graduated, that doesn't make any sense!"
Naruko sighed in annoyance for how slow she was, "He's saying only a select few of us will actually become ninja, while the rest will be weeded out. Right, Kakashi?"
"Right." He said, disregarding the fact she didn't add Sensei to his name. "Of the ten squads made up of genin this year only three will pass and be acknowledged as ninja. As Naruko said, the rest will be weeded out and sent back to the academy. Keep in mind the chances you all will fail is at least 66%."
"Can't say I'm too worried." Naruto said confidently. "If that's all, can I go now? I do have other things I want to do today."
Kakashi sighed, he looked so much like Minato-Sensei but the two were so different, it was a surprise that he was his son. Neither of the twins batted an eye at the probability of them failing out and not becoming ninja, both of their expressions showed absolute confidence. "You're dismissed, I'll see you tomorrow at 6AM sharp. Oh and one more thing, I'd skip breakfast tomorrow if I were you four. Otherwise you'll puke." He said before body flickering away.
"Good, he's finally gone." She casually grabbed her brother's arm, "Let's go swimming Naru-chan, there's still hot and plenty of sunlight left."
"Yeah, let's go. We'll have a barbeque."
After changing, they made their way to their favorite swimming hole which had been dubbed the "Two Blue Whirlpool". It was one they had personally created last summer, tired of the looks they'd get from people who'd interrupt their fun; they decided to make their own. During the summer and spring it had become a fun and relaxing hidden gem on the outskirts of the village. The hole in the earth was wide and about 35 meters deep with natural plants growing on the surface and some places around the walls. Using the waterfall basin jutsu, it was filled with the clearest water that was kept cool from the natural shade. The water's depths ranged from 4 to 16 feet. There were barrier seals all around that prevented entry for anyone who weren't the twins or Kurama as well as keeping out pests, snakes and other creatures. There was a staircase of rock that circled down that led to a platform at the bottom with a table in the corner.
They decided to grill out and enjoy some barbecue, Naruto and Kurama were setting everything up while Naruko was ready to get in the water. She had needed a new swimsuit as her old one didn't fit anymore, deciding on a red two piece. She basked in the serenity and tranquility of their swimming hole, outside of their shared psychic plain this place had become their own little world. A haven that no one else was allowed in on and it felt great. She was so glad they made this, caring very little for what Kakashi's test was, right now all she wanted to do was swim and have fun with her family. "This feels nice. It almost makes you forget we got stuck with a shitty team."
Naruto unsealed the cooking supplies from a scroll, "I'm trying not to think about it. Still not sure how I feel about having one of dad's students as our sensei." He looked at Kurama for a moment, "I'm never gonna call him that though."
"Me neither." Naruko added.
"That Kakashi brat hasn't changed much." Kurama commented as he took out the rice.
"Did you catch the book he was reading? It's one of our so-called "God father's" perverted works." He said mockingly.
"I DID catch that. I figured he was a decent writer when you showed me Tale Of A Gutsy Ninja, but that quickly died after one chapter of Make Out Tactics." Naruko said, slightly disgusted.
"My thoughts excatly. Going back to our team for a moment, what do you think Kakashi's test will be?"
"If I had to guess, probably the bell test." Kurama answered.
"What's that?"
"A test where you'll have to work together to take bells from the teacher."
"Well that won't be a problem, when we fight together we can take on anybody, Right bro?"
"Y'know it!"
"I'm going go take a dip, hey Kurama, what do you think of my new swimsuit?" She asked with a cute pose.
"It looks really good on you, a cute choice Naruko." His smile and honesty nearly made her swoon.
"Didn't you buy one last year? You don't look like you've grown too much." Naruto said, eyeing her.
"The old one's gotten a little…"Tight", if you know what I mean." She answered with a smile, gesturing to her chest.
Naruto was shocked for a moment, just now noticing his sister's development. "I know what you mean. I thought you were joking this morning, I really hadn't noticed you had those, your clothes are usually so loose fitting."
She struck another pose, "Don't be weird about it. I'm thinking about wearing more slim and skin tight clothes. Hey Kurama, how big do you think these are gonna get?"
"I wouldn't know, and can not answe that."
"Mom had a big pair right?" She asked curiously.
Kurama made a thoughtful expression, thinking back to his time with Kushina. Being inside made him attune and more aware of the goings on in his jinchuriki's body better than they did. He was sealed in Kushina just as puberty began developing her body, and by the end of it even he had to admit she's become a relativly beautiful woman with attractive features. Features Naruko herself was developing, maybe even more so. "Relativly." He answered casually. She happily accepted this answer before getting in the water. As he watched her swim he mentally noted he'd need to have a talk with her about an upcoming change in her body.
"Alright, everything is set. We'll get to cooking later, time for the water!" Naruto took off before leaping into the water and straight into the deep end. He allowed himself to float underneath the water, it was cool and perfect for a hot summer day like this. They were able to make this private swimming hole in just a couple hours, it was a small piece of paradise that was theirs alone. Tomorrow they'd become ninja, he was sure of it. Everyone underestimated them, everyone looked down on them, everyone hated them, and it was time they struck back. He was going to get his revenge on this village and was sure Naruko felt the same. He didn't want to kill anyone or destroy the village, he wouldn't need to.
They had mastered their own chakra, trained and increased their reserves to level's that rivaled a tailed beasts. They had also mastered Kurama's chakra, and by extension making it significantly more potent and powerful. All his life people hated, feared and beat them, being generally antagonistic because they feared they MIGHT destroy the village. As they were now they could destroy the village many times over with ease if they ever wanted to, and they had control of the power everyone else feared. He held contempt for every piece of shit in this village and the day they realized the control of power they possessed and the fear that would come with it would be the sweetest revenge.
Next day
Kurama had made breakfast as the twins got dressed and ready for the day. It was long past the time they were supposed to meet for the training, but they both easily saw through Kakashi's deception. More than that, they could sense his chakra signature and it wasn't anywhere near Sakura or Sasuke who were next to each other at the training ground. "6AM sharp huh? Kakashi really thought he was slick." Naruko said before sipping some of her miso soup.
"I'm a little offended he really thought we'd fall for that. Does he have any idea how used we are to people lying to us?" Naruto said with light drama and a raised brow. "I almost feel bad for those poor saps."
"I'm not. By the way Naru-chan, how do you wanna do this? Should we take off the gravity seals or chakra cuffs?"
"Nah, let's keep them on. And definitely not go into Kurama mode."
"What happened to flexing our power?"
"Not too much so soon, Sis. And besides, if we're gonna be on a squad with these idiots for a while; we can show them how much better we are every day. So no need to hammer that fact so hard in the beginning."
Naruko pouted lightly, wanting to crash out as soon as she could and again restrained herself. "Kurama, what do you think?"
"I agree with Naruto. If you show at least a quarter of your full power, as the deadlasts, you'll certainly be questioned by the hokage. So keep your true strength hidden for the time being."
"But I wanna go off~!" She dramatically moaned.
Naruto and Kurama looked at each other, silently agreeing to turn her loose, knowing what could happen if she stayed pimpt up. Kurama gave her an encouraging look, "Alright, that brat should be a high level jounin. Have your fun, Naruko."
"Yay!" She happily squealed.
"Try not to kill anyone, ok sis."
She happily smiled, "I promise I will try."
Training ground 3
It was nearly 11:00, Sasuke and Sakura were sitting near each other and Kakashi was hiding nearby. Sakura was visibly angry when she saw the twins, "You're both late! Kakashi-Sensei said 6AM sharp!"
Naruto just rolled his eyes at her, "Really? And where is he, Pinky? Because I'll tell you now he's only been hiding over there for about five minutes." He said pointing a thumb towards some nearby trees.
"You can come out, Kakashi, and don't pretend like you weren't intentionally wasting time." Naruko said, looking in the direction of the jounin's chakra signature.
Kakashi came out of the trees almost sheepishly, "I was waiting on you two to arrive."
"Kakashi, we've had a lot of people lie to us, so skip the bullshit and just be honest." Naruto said.
"A ninja must see through deception, good thing we've had loads of practice." Naruko added. "Let's get this over with, enough time has already been wasted."
"I fell for such an obvious lie, and I couldn't notice his presence." Sasuke thought, frustrated with himself.
"Alright, let's get down to the test." He reached into his pocket and pulled out three bells. "Your mission is simple, you just have to take these bells from me. As you can see, only three of you can pass." He turned to three wood stumps nearby that had a boxed lunch on each of them. "If you don't get a bell you go without lunch, and you will be tied to a stumo and watch me eat my lunch in front of you. Sakura and Sasuke realized why he said not to eat breakfast, but the twins were hearty and ready to go. "You can use any weapons including shuriken, and if you don't come at me with the intent to kill, you won't get a bell."
"But those weapons are too dangerous, Sensei!" Sakura exclaimed worridly.
"Are you serious? This guy's a jounin, he can't be that easy to kill." Naruko said.
"Excatly." He set a timer that was set for noon.
"Hey Kakashi? You said to come with the intent to kill, so I take it we won't be punished if you actually die?" Naruto asked.
"What makes you think that you, a deadlast, could ever hurt me?"
" A deadlast huh? You're absolutely right." He said with a smile, the next instant he was rushing at the older ninja, his bloodlust was light as he raised a kunai to kill him.
Kakashi lost sight of him for a moment before he was able to quickly hold the kid's arm, head and put him in a lock with his own kunai to the back of his neck. "Don't be so impatient, I didn't say start yet." His tone was confident as he held Naruto, not noticing he was smiling.
"You're right, that one's on me. You can have these back." From his free hand appeared the three bells, much to the shock of everyone but Naruko.
"When did he?" Kakashi was completely surprised. Naruto disappeared for a moment, he wondered if that was that when he did it. He was even more curious as to what sort of jutsu was that, as it was more than just speed.
"This jounin has no idea how to respond to the Nikiyashi. What a loser!" Naruko inwardly mocked.
"Here you go, Kakashi." He tossed the bells back to the still surprised jounin. "I'll take those back when I feel like it."
"What was that? I didn't see or notice him taking the bells at all." He thought as he tried to make sense of the reports he saw of his genin. Sasuke and Sakura were pretty readable, but he couldn't get a read on the twins. They were truly unpredictable and it made them dangerous. From their grades and what Lord Thrid told him, these two were both severaly lacking in essential skill. He'd heard about the situation with Mizuki, and a rumor involving them and Ebisu, but he had no idea of how true the latter one was. The twins both had a look that gave him chills, making him wonder why he agreed to become a sensei. "Alright…Begin!" All four students disappeared at his order, scattering to several places across the training ground.
Kakashi spred his senses, they all had hidden well enough, shinobi must be able to conceal their presence and hide effectively. He wanted to take this as an opportunity to test all four of them in the three basic shinobi skills, Ninjutsu,Genjutsu and Taijutsu. Finding where Sakura and Sasuke were was pretty easy, but he couldn't tell where the twins were. He spread his senses but still couldn't find either of their presence. His eyes narrowed when a volley of shuriken came flying at him, forcing him to jump back. His feet barely touched the ground before he was attacked by two yellow blurs, Naruko on the top and Naruto at the bottom. "So fast!" Was his only thought as he narrowly dodged Naruto, bringing up an arm to block a kick from Naruko.
He felt his arm crack a little from the blow as Naruto rushed forward, faster than Kakashi expected. They broke into a taijutsu flurry that put the jounin on the defensive, several brutal punches hurt him before a kick to the head from Naruko sent him across the field. "Just as I thought, this'll be easy." Naruto said as he and his sister made twenty shadow clones a piece. As fast as the originals, the mob of clones rushed the jounin, their strength, speed, taijutsu and coordination forcing him to create ten to fend them off. As he held them off it was clear he'd underestimated the twins.
Sasuke nearly jumped when he felt someone touch his shoulder, turning around he saw both twins behind him. Naruko gave him a smile, "Hey, Emo Uchiha! Don't talk, just listen. The point of this exam is teamwork. Do you want to at least look like you're helping before we pass on our own?"
The confidence in her tone was shocking, he turned back at their clones fighting Kakashi. "I don't need your help. I'm not like you losers."
"Alright then." Was all Naruto said before they both disappeared.
"Shitty Pinky." Naruko's sudden voice nearly made Sakura scream, her expression souring once she saw the twins.
"What do you two-"
"Don't talk, just listen. The point of this exam is teamwork, do you want to look like you're helping or not?"
Their seriousess and confidence surprised her for a moment, "What about Sasuke?"
"Emo Uchiha said he was different from us so fuck him."
"Of course Sasuke is different from us. If he's not, why would I ever work with you two?"
"Alright, fuck you too then." They quickly dissapeared and went back to their fight.
All of his clones were destroyed, not a single one of the twin's clones had fallen. He was getting tired and their assault was getting faster and harder to dodge. These two were far beyond the level of a genin, these clones had the strength and skill of a jounin with flawless teamwork and impeccable taijutsu. They could have taken the bells at least a dozen times by now but there hadn't been a single attempt on them, he was thinking of using his sharingan as this was too overwhelming. They were so fast he didn't have time to use any jutsu, and he could weave signs very fast. It was almost as if they were actually trying to kill him. He grit his teeth when a deep cut to his back brought him out of his thoughts, "Are you both actually trying to kill me?!" He questioned a Naruto clone.
"Kakashi, if we wanted to kill you' you'd already be killed. And besides, weren't we supposed to take these?" The clone said, casually raising the bells. Before Kakashi could say anything, a kick to the head from a Naruko clone knocked him out. The clone tossed the bells to the real Naruto as the twins casually approached, "That was easier than I thought." The boys said as he caught the bells and the clones began dispelling.
"Was there ever any doubt?" Naruko said with a playful smile.
"Not really. But I was surprised we beat him with only taijustu and shadow clones."
"And that's our "Teacher"." Naruko's unimpressed gaze fell to their unconscious sensei. They took a moment to heal him before they tied him to the middle post before sitting down and breaking open two of the boxed lunches. Sakura and Sasuke came out of the woods, expressions of surprise and complete shock on both their faces, especially Sasuke. He he'd watched them fight the jounin and couldn't follow their movements at all. In class Naruto couldn't do a simple replication, and Naruko's taijutsu was mediocre at best. But just now they both were able to use a full shadow clone jutsu with multiple clones and flawless taijutsu.
Natuko looked at the two, amused by their confusion, "Well our sensei is out, looks like WE pass, you two can fight over who gets the last bell."
"How could you two beat him? Yo both were nothing lke this before!" Sasuke exclaimed, almost raising his voice.
"What's the number one rule of the shinobi?"
Sakura was the first to answer, "A shinobi's greatest tool is…Deception." Her eyes widened in realization.
"Correct." Naruto replied casually.
"So you two tricked everyone? Why? It couldn't have been just for that." Were Sasuke's words, when internally he was envious of their power and his intuition telling him this wasn't their best.
"Let's just say that a lot of people don't like us, and if you noticed back in the academy our tests were always sabotaged. Our so-called "Teachers" were more interested in tripping us up than actually teaching us anything, so it was easier to just let our grades drop." Naruko explained.
"If people knew how smart and powerful we really were it would have brought us more problems from the terrible people of this village." Naruto added. "You better sit down and eat, plus figure out who gets that last bell before Kakashi wakes up."
Sakura and Sasuke looked at each other, the girl more upset than excited from the look on his face., "I'm not going back to the academy." He said sternly. Sakura said nothing, only lowering her head. The Uchiha's eyes were devoid of empathy for what this meant for her and she suddenly felt like an outsider. The twins said nothing as Sasuke sat down to eat, the whole time he was wondering about what the twins had said, wondering why people would sabotage them. He always knew they were alone and mistreated, but didn't care enough to say anything. He often found them both slightly interesting and was a little envious. Despite being alone, being mistreated and shunned by everyone, they still had eachother. Their bond was undeniable and stronger than anything he had with Itachi.
After a while Kakashi stirred awake, shock and surprise evident from the fact HE was the one tied to the post, his last memories vivid. His eyes shifted to his team, Sasuke on his left, a dejected Sakura in front of him and the twins on his right, had no words, he lost, and had so many questions. "Good to see you're awake Kakashi, I take it we passed right?" Naruko innocently asked with an adorable yet terrifying smile. Kakashi stupidly nodded without saying a word, his shock of the situation overwhelming his desire to question them. She'd finished her boxed lunch and stood up, "Sweet, that takes care of that! Let's go, Naru-chan."
"Right behind you, Ruko." Her brother had finished his food and was reading a book, closing it he calmly stood up and walked away with his sister.
"Can someone untie me!" Kakashi exclaimed, squirming in his restraints.
"Nah, I think you're fine where you are. And you're welcome, we healed your wounds."
"Let's go play football." Naruko suggested as she playfully held his arm.
"Alright! I'll take on you AND Kurama this time."
"Is that a challenge I hear?" The fox questioned with a competitive grin.
"Wait, you two never explained!" Kakashi called out to them.
"We'll leave the explanation to the other two, later Turds!" Naruko replied, rasing a hand and not turning to acknowledge any of them.
They both stopped walking when Naruto turned to face the jounin, "By the way Kakashi, think twice about saying something you don't mean." His expression shifted to a cold one that startled all of them, "Or next time you'll end up at the morgue." He then turned and left with his sister.
"Is he always so cold?"
"Maybe. It's obvious no one knows who those two truly are." Sasuke said, watching the two leave.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, he didn't talk to anyone outside of his sister at the academy, and would always act like an idiot. People would always say things to mock and make fun of him, Naruko would always say horrid things to anyone if you insulted her, but him..It's like he doesn't hear any of it, ignoring it like the words and people didn't exist."
"Now we know why." Sasuke said, his curiosity rising about their strength.
Kakashi made a note to speak with the hokage after this, squad 7 clearly passed the test but the twins needed to answer questions about their skills. The reports he'd been shown about them were wrong entirely, they had passed with such ease and now he was their sensei, but he noticed neither of them had referred to him as sensei. He didn't know how he was going to do this, but this was the personal ordeal the hokage had presented him with.
Chapter 7 is in the books! The twins are genin, showed a bit of their power and the relationship with their squad is off to a good start. The updates for this story have been slow but I hadn't forgotten about it. Stay tuned for what comes next! Next time, "Squad 7 do D rank missions, gets a C rank and goes to the land of waves. See you then!
