Interlude:
THIRD PERSON POV:
The ancient magician felt the brush of a mind against his and smiled, watching a new hieroglyph emerge from his wrinkled hand.
He chuckled, prompting someone in the shadows to shift and come closer."What is it, Lord Iskandar?"
Speaking in his birth tongue, so old a language that its a miracle that it still exists, he told the (comparatively) younger man that it would be better just to show him.
He beckoned the newest hieroglyph closer, and held it up."
It was a symbol for new talents, or for destiny.
"My lord?" Desjardins said uncertainly. "That symbol has never appeared in my entire life. What does it mean?"
Iskandar just gave him a small smile, shaking his head slightly instead of replying. He would understand in time.
After all, this new child would be a bridge between worlds. That is her destiny. Who would miss someone as brilliant as that?
This will be interesting.
So... yeah. This is short. Shorter than me when I'm crouching. Extremely short, really. But I absolutely had to put Iskandar in one of the chapters. The wise old man obviously knows what's going on with our lovely Nyssa, yes? I wonder what things he will do. Please review and PM me if you're curious about anything in the future of the story! I have most of it planned, so if you want to know about the future chapters, I will tell you.
See you next chapter!
