Chapter 4: New Friend, Old Enemy

An armored ninja sat on his knees on a mat in the middle of a dojo, performing hand symbols. Just then, a Foot Ninja crept up behind him and readied his katana. But as he delivered the strike, the armored ninja caught the blade in his hands and knocked the Foot Ninja away, taking the katana in his hand. Suddenly, a second Foot Ninja leapt at the armored ninja, preparing to stab him. But the armored ninja dodged to the side, causing the Foot Ninja's katana to get stuck in the mat. Just then, a third Foot Ninja leapt at the armored ninja from behind, wielding a little katana. But the armored ninja grabbed him by the head and flipped him over, knocking him out with a punch. The second Foot Ninja managed to pull his katana free, but the armored ninja moved too quick and kicked him in the head, knocking him out. The armored ninja looked at the 3 Foot Ninjas as they slowly recovered, throwing down the katana.

Just then, a sliding door opened, revealing the Shredder himself, staring out the window, along with a skinny, dark-skinned man with a small afro, wearing a white t-shirt, a dark blue vest, blue jeans, leather fingerless gloves and steel-toe shoes, and a pale-skinned woman with long magenta hair, wearing a short white sleeveless crop-top, short jean shorts, pink heels and a security hat. The armored ninja bowed before the Shredder on one knee. "Master Shredder." He greeted. "I trust that my greatest pupil has been using his time wisely." Shredder said. "I have assembled an army of ninjas. The Foot Clan awaits your orders." The armored ninja said. "Excellent. Because I've discovered 2 old enemies in New York. Hamato Yoshi and Tang Shen." Shredder said as the dark-skinned man tossed the armored ninja a picture of Splinter, Shen and himself from long ago. "Hamato Yoshi and Tang Shen, alive?" The armored ninja asked in shock. "And they are training ninjas of their own. Finally, I will finish what I started all those years ago. I want them all wiped out." Shredder ordered. "I will not fail you, Master." The armored ninja said. "I know. But to be certain, you will work alongside Xever and Poison." Shredder said. The dark-skinned man, named Xever Montes, walked over as he fiddled with a butterfly knife. And the pale-skinned woman, named Sludgia Smog, nicknamed Poison, followed as she coiled a jump bat in her hand. "I don't need any help. Especially from this street rat and this man-eater." The armored ninja said. "Are you sure, rich boy?" Xever asked, mockingly. "Anytime you wanna test me!" The armored ninja snarled. Poison bit her bottom lip as she watched the 2 men argue. "I am not interested in your petty rivalry! Xever and Poison are familiar with the dark underbelly of this city. You will work together." Shredder said clearly. "Don't worry, Master Shredder. We will find Splinter, Shen and their disciples, and destroy them." The armored ninja said. Xever chuckled as the armored ninja walked away, kicking one of the recovering Foot Ninjas back down. "Such a violent temperament. It does something to me." Poison said, biting her lower lip. "Oh, do put your eyes back in your head, Sludgia." Xever groaned. "For the 30th time…" Poison tossed a needle at a poster on the wall. "…call me Poison." She warned as the poster melted from the poison fused in the needle.

(Intro)

Meanwhile, the Turtles and Karai were racing across the rooftops. As they raced, they ran towards a big gap between the buildings. "Check it out!" Donnie called as he gave a great leap and flipped forward, landing safely on the next building. Mikey leapt off the water tower and did the same flip, landing safely next to Donnie, who gave him a gentle applause. "Head's up!" Venus called as she leapt off the edge and did a triple flip, landing in between her brothers. "Sick move, V." Mikey said, giving his sister a high-three. They turned to Leo, Raph and Karai as they stopped at the edge. "Let's see what you 3 got!" Venus called. "Alright, guys. Check this out." Leo said as he took a few steps back. Then he ran for the edge, flipped off it and landed safely on the next building. "My turn!" Karai called. She leapt off the building and twirled her body as she flipped around. Leo held out his arms as she landed gracefully in them. Donnie, Mikey and Venus were in awe at that. "We've been practicing that move for a while." Leo said. "Just perfected it last week." Karai said. "You kiddies." Raph said. He cracked his neck and leapt off the edge. Mikey leapt out of the way as Raph bashed into the others. "You guys alright?" Mikey asked. The others groaned while Raph chuckled. Unknown to them, a Foot Ninja spotted them from the other roof. "Hey, what was that? You didn't do any flips." Donnie said. "Yeah. You just rammed us like bowling pins." Venus said. "Oops." Raph said with sarcasm.

Suddenly, there was a noise nearby. The Turtles and Karai hid behind a rooftop door and brought out their weapons. As they came out to attack, they saw that it was just a cute little black and white kitten with a nametag collar. Leo and Karai felt embarrassed. "Don't give up, guys. You might actually win this fight." Raph teased. "Aw. What a cute little kitty." Mikey said as he picked up the kitten and scratched its belly, making it purr. "And what's your name?" He asked as he checked the nametag. "Mittens!" A voice called. "Huh? Who said that?" Mikey asked. He looked and saw a man looking out of an apartment window. "Mittens?" He called. "I think that's the owner." Donnie guessed. "Uh, guys, I wanna return Mittens to her owner, but I can't just show myself to a human." Mikey said. "That's right. He'll freak out." Donnie said. "So, what do we do?" Venus asked. "Here. Give her to me. I'll return Mittens." Karai said, taking Mittens from Mikey. "Karai, you can't. We're supposed to remain hidden." Leo said. "Actually, you're supposed to remain hidden. I'm the only human in this group. I have it covered, Leo. Don't worry." Karai said as she leapt off the edge of the building.

"Mittens!" The man called. Karai landed on the fire escape. "Hi. Is this your cat?" She asked, holding out Mittens. "Oh, yes. Where'd you find her?" The man asked. "She was on the roof next door. My siblings and I found her." Karai said. "Well, how can I repay you?" The man asked with a kind tone. "Please, no charge. Just doing what I thought was right." Karai said, leaping off the fire escape and landed in the alley. "Strange girl. But what do I know." The man said as he closed the window. The Turtles leapt down and rejoined Karai in the alley. "That was amazing, Karai." Mikey said. "Meh. Being the only human in this team has a few perks." Karai said. "Though it would be nice to have some other human friends besides the O'Neil Triplets." Mikey said. "I get it, Mikey. But like it or not, humans would never understand us." Leo said. "Yeah, cheer up, little bro. Karai and the O'Neil Triplets are good enough for us." Raph said. Just then, Mikey noticed something up on the rooftop. "Hey, look at that." Mikey said, pointing towards a billboard. "Chris Bradford. A martial arts superstar with a chain of dojos across the country." Leo said as he read aloud. "It says that he's in town for a martial arts expo at the St. Mark's Civic Auditorium." Venus said. "I've read his magazines. He has a secret kata known as the Death Dragon. He's never revealed it to anyone except his most trusted of students." Karai said. "Sounds like an interesting move to learn." Raph said. "It might be so cool to have a friend like that." Mikey said. Unknown to them, a masked man watched them from behind the billboard. "If only you knew." He muttered.

Suddenly, a group of Foot Ninjas leapt down from the rooftops and surrounded them. "Ninjas in New York? Other than us?" Donnie asked in shock. The Foot Ninjas readied their katanas, daggers and spears, as the Turtles and Karai readied their weapons. As they waited for someone to make a move, one of the Foot Ninjas tossed a throwing star at Donnie, hitting his staff. As the Foot Ninja charged in to attack, Raph blocked one of their katanas, disarmed the ninja and kicked him down, flipped another over his shoulder and kicked a third into 2 more. But as he knocked down another, the Foot Ninjas kicked his shin, whacked him in the gut a spear and kicked him down. As one of them raised his katana, Mikey kicked him aside and knocked down another with his nunchaku. The Turtles and Karai all started clashing weapons with the Foot Ninjas. Donnie blocked a Foot Ninja's katana with his staff before knocking him down with it. Venus spun her tonfas, blocking several weapons and knocking down the Foot Ninjas. Leo and Karai clashed their blades with the Foot Ninjas' katanas before kicking them down. "Why are you so happy?" Raph asked, noticing a certain grin on Leo's face. "It's just nice to finally be fighting people instead of robots or aliens or weed monsters." Leo said. "What? Were Snakeweed and the Kraang not challenge enough for us?" Karai asked.

Suddenly, as they knocked down the last few Foot Ninjas, the armored ninja appeared and leapt down into the fight. He punched Leo, knocking him down. Then he kicked Raph, knocking him down. Then he grabbed Karai's arm and threw her into a nearby dumpster. As Donnie tried to pole vault over him, the armored ninja took his staff and whacked him into the wall. As Venus tried to jab him with her tonfas, the armored ninja grabbed her and flipped her with a suplex, knocking her out. Mikey readied his scythe blade and threw it at the armored ninja. But the armored ninja caught it and pulled Mikey towards him, grabbing his belt and looking at his face. "What are you?" He asked. Suddenly, the masked man leapt into the fight and delivered a powerful flying spinning kick, knocking the armored ninja down, thus releasing Mikey. The Turtles and Karai were shocked by his sudden appearance. The armored ninja recovered and glared at the masked fighter. "You!" He exclaimed in anger. Just then, police sirens were heard. The armored ninja and the Foot Ninjas took off. "We need to leave. Now." The mask fighter said, taking off. The Turtles and Karai followed him before the police showed up.

Later, as they returned to the lair, Leo and Karai told Splinter and Shen about what happened. "Their leader was crazy good. By which I mean he was good and seemed a little crazy." Leo explained. "Too good and really crazy." Karai said. "Besides, he had all these guys with him. It wasn't a fair fight." Leo said. "What do you mean fair fight?" Splinter asked. "Uh, fair fight. You know, where either side could win." Leo said. "So, a fair fight is a fight you could lose?" Splinter asked. "Well, yes, but what I mean is-" Leo tried to say. "You don't want to assure your victory." Splinter guessed. "No, I do. But-" Leo tried to say. But then, Splinter knocked him off his legs and pinned him down with his staff. "Hey!" Leo exclaimed. Karai was shocked by this. "Was that fair?" Splinter asked. "No!" Leo exclaimed. "You caught him off guard! Of course, it wasn't fair!" Karai exclaimed. "Did I win?" Splinter asked. Leo and Karai thought about it. "I see your point." Leo said. "Seek victory. Not fairness." Splinter said. "Yoshi's right. When you seek victory, it does not matter whether a fight is fair or unfair." Shen said as Splinter got off of Leo. "Hai, Senseis." Leo said. "Yes, Mother." Karai said. Splinter helped Leo to his feet. "Still, we would've been beaten if that masked man hadn't shown up." Karai said. "I am surprised that you even allowed him to enter our home. Can you trust him?" Splinter asked. "He saved our lives. It's a start." Leo said. Splinter stroked his beard, sensing wisdom in Leo's words. "But if he tries anything, we know what to do." Karai assured. Splinter and Shen looked at each other, already having an idea of who this masked man is.

Meanwhile, as the Turtles and the O'Neil Triplets were hanging out, the masked man took in the sights of the lair. Donnie was on his homemade laptop, Mikey was reading a magazine, Raph was doing pushups with his sais, Venus was feeding her pet fish, Piebald, and the O'Neil Triplets were reading comic books. "You have quite the lair. I never expected that this would be where the great Hamato Yoshi and Tang Shen would be living after all these years." He said. "You know the names of our Senseis?" Donnie asked in surprise. "They were the greatest champions out of all the greatest fighters in the world. Until rumors spread about their 'deaths.' But I never believed that they could die that easily." The masked fighter said. "You are correct." Splinter said as he, Shen, Leo and Karai walked into the living room. The masked man gasped at the sight of them. "Master Yoshi. Miss Shen. Forgive me for staring, but I feared the worse when word spread of your deaths." He said as he bowed to them in respect. "You need not worry. Despite our appearances, we are very much alive." Shen said. "Children, meet Wyatt Reid. He is a famous street fighter." Splinter introduced as the masked man took off his mask and revealed his face. "We never officially met him, but he is well-known across these United States." Shen explained. "It is an honor to meet you all. I never thought I'd get to meet the disciples of the 2 great masters." Wyatt said. "Thank you. And thanks again for saving our lives." Leo said. "No problem. That man was very dangerous and skilled." Wyatt said. "We've noticed." Raph grunted as he continued his pushups.

Just then, Wyatt turned over to Mikey. "Though I noticed earlier when you found that man's kitten, the one you call Mikey was a little hesitant." He said. "He's always like that. He's a really timid turtle, but he's still a formidable ninja." Leo explained. "I've noticed. It must be hard for a bunch of mutants to make friends in this city." Wyatt said. "They do have friends. Me and my siblings." April said. "We saved them from alien robots called the Kraang, but they took their father." Donnie explained. "Oh, yeah, I heard about that ruckus in that area." Wyatt said. "Yeah. But even though we saved them, I don't know if I could count them as friends." Mikey said with depression. Wyatt came up with an idea. "Masters, if it would be okay with you, I would like to take Mikey out for a ride. My motorcycle's parked not too far from the entrance to these old subway tunnels." He said. Splinter stroked his beard as he and Shen looked at each other. "Very well. Michelangelo could use a good time." Splinter said. "If no one sees his face." Shen said. "Covered. I got a spare helmet." Wyatt said. "Michelangelo?" Splinter asked as he looked at his son. "Well, I suppose I could use some air." Mikey said. "Come on. You won't be disappointed." Wyatt said, walking out of the lair with Mikey following. Everyone watched them leave. "I hope Mikey'll be okay." Raph said with worry.

Later, Wyatt and Mikey rode through the city streets on Wyatt's motorcycle. Mikey wore Wyatt's spare helmet to keep his face hidden from the public. "I have to admit, while I'm glad to be riding with someone else who doesn't consider me a freaky mutant, I wish life could be more simple for me and my siblings." Mikey said. "Hey, don't let it get you down, Mikey. I'm here to show you a good time." Wyatt said. "Yeah. Thanks, Wyatt." Mikey said. "What're friends for." Wyatt said. Mikey perked up a bit after hearing that one word.

Meanwhile, the other Turtles and Karai examined the alley where the Foot Clan ambushed them. "They must've been watching us from here." Leo guessed. "Makes sense. It's the perfect spot for an ambush." Karai said. "It wasn't very fair, was it?" Donnie asked. "It's not about fairness. It's about victory." Leo said. "Okay, sorry." Donnie said, having touched a nerve. "But who exactly were those guys?" Venus asked. "I don't know. But I feel like there was something familiar about them." Karai said. Raph just sat down, still thinking about Mikey and Wyatt. "Raph, are you even listening?" Leo asked. "Huh? Oh, sorry, Leo. Guess I'm still thinking about Mikey and Wyatt, hoping they're okay." Raph said. "Don't worry, Raph. Even if they run into trouble, Mikey's well-trained as we are." Karai said. "And Master Splinter did say that Wyatt was a professional street fighter." Donnie said. "Well, I still worry regardless." Raph said.

Meanwhile, Mikey and Wyatt were at a gym. "So, why exactly are we here?" Mikey asked. "I thought it'd be a good chance to teach you some of my street fighting moves." Wyatt said. "Really?" Mikey asked. "Sure. Your ninjitsu's pretty good, I admit. But sometimes, it'd also be good to have a few other fighting skills as backup." Wyatt said. "Okay. Let's see what you got." Mikey said. Over the next few hours, Wyatt performed his street fighting moves and combos while sparring with Mikey. Each time, as Mikey was knocked down, he learned each move and combo perfectly. Afterwards, Wyatt and Mikey sat in the gym, eating pizza. "I gotta say, Mikey, you're a fast learner." Wyatt said. "Thanks. Master Splinter and Master Shen teach me and my siblings very well. Though, the lessons can be a little extreme for me at times." Mikey said. "Huh. I felt the same way about my old master. Before I became a street fighter, I went through some pretty intense training myself." Wyatt explained. "What happened?" Mikey asked as he ate his pizza. "I left his class and took my own path down street fighting. Sometimes, you need to walk your own path to find your own destiny. Like the path you walk on with your siblings and your masters." Wyatt explained. Mikey understood this. "Oh, the others are gonna be back from patrol soon. I should be getting back." He said. "No problem. I'll drive. Oh. And there's one other move I wanna teach you and your siblings when we get back." Wyatt said. "What's that?" Mikey asked. "You ever heard about the Death Dragon?" Wyatt asked. "Chris Bradford's secret kata?" Mikey asked in surprise. "I know it." Wyatt said.

Meanwhile, Xever and Poison were inside a Chris Bradford dojo. Poison twirled and coiled her jump bat in her hand while Xever picked up a katana from the wall and examined it. "I didn't believe it with my own eyes at first. My former student, the street fighter, leapt in and rescued those freaks when I had them in my grasp. But sooner or later, they'll figure us out, and we'll set the trap." Chris Bradford said, revealing himself to be working with them. "Pretty weapon for such a tough guy. In prison, we made our own weapons." Xever said. "I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever stupid enough to wind up in prison." Bradford said. Poison snickered at that as Xever stabbed the katana into the floor and walked out. "You really think those freaks will really catch onto us?" Poison asked. "Yes. I have a feeling that even as we speak, my former student is teaching those freaks my secret kata." Bradford said, sinisterly.

Meanwhile, Wyatt was teaching Leo and Raph the Death Dragon as they sparred. "Remember, kick first, then sweep the leg." He instructed. Leo tried it, but Raph dodged it. "Not quite." Raph said. "Wait. I think I got it." Leo said. Just then, Splinter and Shen walked in, and gasped in horror at Leo using the Death Dragon on Raph.

[Flashback]

Oroku Saki used the Death Dragon on Yoshi, knocking him down. Saki stood over a horrified Yoshi and Shen, smirking sinisterly.

[Flashback End]

"Where did you learn that?!" Splinter demanded. "Forgive me, Master Splinter. I taught it to them." Wyatt said, bowing apologetically. "And who taught it to you?" Shen asked. "My former master, Chris Bradford." Wyatt said. "Chris Bradford was your former master?!" Mikey asked in shock. "And that move comes from no friend. It comes from the Shredder." Splinter said. "He used that same kata against us years ago." Shen said. "Shredder?!" Donnie asked in shock. "You mean, Bradford is one of his students?" Venus asked, mixed with surprise and shock. "He must be." Splinter said. "Yes. Bradford only taught that move to a select few of us. But once I saw the damage that move causes, I left and started learning to street fight." Wyatt explained. "And now Bradford's here, looking for Master Splinter and Master Shen." Mikey said with worry. "We need to find him and strike back." Karai said. "And I know just the place." Wyatt said, knowing his former master's location.

Later, Wyatt and Mikey arrived at Bradford's dojo and walked inside. "Be on your guard, Mikey. If he's here, we must be ready." Wyatt said. "Right. Does it help that I'm a little bit afraid?" Mikey asked. "Helps me." A voice said, startling Mikey. Just then, the armored ninja appeared out of the shadows. Wyatt and Mikey slowly backed away, but bumped into Xever and Poison. They got ready to fight as the 3 surrounded them.

Wyatt and Mikey started to fight the 3 as the armored ninja threw the first punch, which Mikey barely dodged before it nearly. Wyatt swept Xever's legs, knocking him down. But then, Poison kicked him in the head, knocking him down. Mikey dodged the armored ninja's punches. "I trust that you've figured out who I am." The armored ninja said. "Wasn't that hard after Wyatt taught me and my siblings the Death Dragon." Mikey said, catching the armored ninja's wrists and kicking him in the helmet. But the armored ninja quickly recovered and kicked Mikey into a punching bag and then at the ceiling, knocking him down. "Pretty quick for a freak." The armored ninja said as he removed his helmet, revealing himself to be Chris Bradford.

Mikey and Wyatt glared as Bradford and Poison tied them up. "I'm actually surprised at you, my former student. Surprised that someone like you would actually save a freak like him. Pathetic." Bradford said. "Now you see why I left. You cared only for passing your legacy to future generations, never caring for the people that your legacy was hurting." Wyatt said. "He really talks too much, doesn't he?" Poison asked. "I say we get rid of them." Xever said, gesturing to a katana on the wall. "Nothing would make me happier. But we need them. Especially the freak. All part of the trap." Bradford said as they walked out, not noticing Wyatt and Mikey grin.

Later, Leo, Karai, Donnie, Raph and Venus made their way to the dojo via the rooftops. Donnie applied some chewed gum to a geometry compass and used it to cut a hole in the window roof. He stuck his arm in and unlocked the window hatch. As Wyatt and Mikey were being guarded by Foot Ninjas, the Turtles and Karai entered through the open window, slid down on ropes and took out the Foot Ninjas. "Nice work, guys." Mikey whispered. Leo pulled out a knife and cut Mikey and Wyatt free. "Time for Phase 2." Wyatt said. They escaped through the window roof and leapt down into the street, hopping down a manhole. But Bradford, Xever and Poison were watching them from the rooftops. "Perfect." Bradford said. "We got them." Xever added. "And soon, we will have Splinter and Shen." Poison said.

Later, as the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt hid in the sewer tunnels as Bradford, Xever, Poison and their Foot Ninjas entered the sewers. As they started walking down the tunnel, the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt started grabbing the Foot Ninjas from the shadows. As they walked further into the sewer, one of the Foot Ninjas was snatched by a rope and pulled up. When they entered a drainage area, Bradford stopped Xever and Poison, noticing that the missing Foot Ninjas were missing. As he looked around, the last 2 Foot Ninjas were snatched. Xever got out a flare and lit it. As he lifted it, he saw the Foot Ninjas were tied up and hanging from the ceiling. "How in the…?" Poison started to ask. "Show your faces!" Xever exclaimed. Just then, Leo, Raph and Karai emerged from the water. Donnie, Mikey and Venus emerged from the shadows. And Wyatt dropped down from above. "They've trapped us!" Xever exclaimed in realization. "Take them down!" Bradford ordered as he charged for Leo, Raph and Karai. Xever charged towards Donnie, Mikey and Venus while Poison charged for Wyatt.

Raph dodged Bradford's punches, but as Leo and Karai were about to jump in, Bradford grabbed Raph and hit them with him. Xever stood on his hands and tried to kick Donnie, who blocked the kicks with his staff. But as Donnie tried to strike Xever, he flipped over him, grabbed his head with his feet and flipped backwards, making Donnie kick Mikey and Venus as they ran over to help. Xever landed on his hands and threw Donnie at Mikey and Venus. Xever flipped back onto his feet, brushing his nose with pride. Wyatt tried to kick Poison, but she blocked it with her jump bat and whipped him in the face with it. As Wyatt recovered, Poison ran up to him and kicked him hard, knocking him down. "Street fighter?" Wyatt asked as he recovered, recognizing Poison's fighting style. "12 years of street fighting." Poison said. Wyatt leapt up and tried to kick her. But Poison blocked the kick and spun around, striking him hard with her jump bat and knocking him down. Just then, Wyatt noticed Raph and Karai being knocked down. Bradford marched up to them while Leo ran up to attack him from behind. But as he attacked, Bradford caught his katana blades with his fingers, shocking him. As Bradford kicked him and sent him flying, Raph and Karai hurried over and caught Leo, knocking them all down.

Just then, Raph saw Donnie snap his fingers. He gave him a thumb's up, knowing what to do. The 2 groups charged towards their opponents. Leo, Karai and Raph started fighting Bradford again and lured him towards the water. Mikey, Donnie and Venus leapt off the wall and over Xever. Wyatt saw what they were doing and caught on. As Poison was about to strike him with her jump bat, he blocked it with a kick and ran towards the water. As the 3 villains chased them, the Turtles, Karai and Wyatt pulled an exchange in opponents. As Bradford charged towards Donnie, Mikey and Wyatt, he tried to punch them. But they flipped over some pipes to dodge him. He tried to punch Mikey on the top pipe, but he hooked his arm on the chain of his nunchaku. Donnie whacked Bradford's legs with his staff from under the bottom pipe, forcing him to his knees. And Wyatt punched Bradford hard in the face from in between the pipes, knocking him down. Leo tried to slash Xever with his katanas, but he dodged each slash with impressive acrobatics. But as Xever landed on his hands, Raph swept the arms and Leo kicked him, knocking him down. Karai and Venus clashed their weapons with Poison's jump bat. As Poison tried to strike them, Venus caught her arm with her tonfas and Karai kicked her with her knee, knocking her down.

The Turtles, Karai and Wyatt forced Bradford, Xever and Poison back towards the storm drain. "They knew we were following them." Bradford realized. "That's right. We planned out the whole thing." Mikey said. As Bradford tried to punch him, Mikey blocked the punch and used the street fighter moves Wyatt taught him and the Death Dragon. "Sweep the leg!" He exclaimed, knocking Bradford down. But Bradford quickly recovered. "I'm not done yet." He said sinisterly. "Actually, I think you are." Mikey said. He and Wyatt kicked Bradford's right leg hard, breaking the bone. Bradford screamed in pain before Mikey and Wyatt kicked him again, knocking him into Xever and Poison. "Hit it!" Mikey called. Leo and Donnie opened a valve and unleashed a wave of sewer water. Bradford, Xever and Poison screamed as they were washed away and carried into the deeper parts of the sewer. "Well, that didn't seem very fair." Raph said. "No, it wasn't." Leo said. "But in the end, we win." Karai said. The Turtles and Karai all laughed at that. "High 3." Mikey said, raising his hand. The Turtles and Karai all slapped high 3. "You too, Wyatt." Mikey said. Wyatt smiled, raised his hand and joined the high 3.

Later, when everyone returned to the lair, the Turtles and Karai were celebrating with pizza. But Splinter and Shen sat close by, deep in their thoughts while Splinter stroked his beard. "Um, Senseis, aren't you hungry?" Donnie asked. "Yeah, we got extra cheese and extra pepperoni just for you 2." Venus said. "I feel we are celebrating too soon." Splinter said. "Too soon? The bad guys were swept away in a river of raw sewage. By my watch, that makes it the perfect time." Raph said. "This is not the time for jokes, Raphael. Shredder knows that Yoshi and I are alive. And worse, he knows about all of you." Shen explained. "It's our worse nightmare come true." Splinter said. "So, it's not over?" Leo asked. "No. It's just beginning." Splinter said. Leo, Raph, Donnie, Venus and Karai grew worried at that. "Well, you don't have to worry about that. If the Shredder is coming, I'll help you guys get ready for him." Wyatt said as he and Mikey walked over. "Yeah. If it wasn't for Wyatt teaching me how to street fight, we never would've won." Mikey said. "And I'm more than willing to teach you guys how to street fight too." Wyatt said. "We would appreciate that, Wyatt." Splinter said. "Yes, we will need all the help we can get if the Shredder does come." Shen said. "Then we got a lot of work to do." Wyatt said. "You know it, buddy." Mikey said. The 2 friends shared a fist bump, thus forming their friendship.

Well, how was that? Shredder sends his wards Chris Bradford, Xever Montes and Sludgia Smog, aka Poison, to New York to search for Splinter and Shen. But as they encounter Karai and the Turtles, they were stopped by Bradford's former student, Wyatt Reid. But they soon learned of Bradford's allegiance to the Shredder through Wyatt teaching them his secret kata, the Death Dragon. Together, they led Bradford, Xever and Poison into a trap in the sewers and flushed them. But it was too soon for celebration. Shredder knows that Splinter and Shen are alive, and will be coming for them. What other challenges will the Turtles face next? Are there other street fighters like Wyatt? Leave a review if you'd like.
