Battle of Royals
One evening as I visited Princess Academy, a group of villains attacked. It was Maleficent, Ursula, Jafar, Hades, and Doctor Facilier. They blasted through the front doors. I was caught under some rubble in the process. After making sure I was okay, the princesses sprang into action.
Ariel grabbed her trident (an equally powerful replica of the one King Triton had), with her daughter Melody following her into battle. Mulan retrieved her sword and took a fighting stance. Rapunzel's eyes and hair glowed golden yellow as she prepared to face the villains. Merida retrieved her own sword, as well as her bow and arrows. Ice and snow encircled Elsa's hands.
Elsa attempted to blast the villains with ice, but Hades blasted black with fire, completely melting the ice. He unleashed more fire at her and knocked her back. He and Maleficent ganged up on Elsa. Elsa conjured up an icy force field around herself. He attacked with more fire, which weakened the force field.
"Now, feel all the combined powers of Hell!" Maleficent said.
Maleficent turned into her dragon form and breathed fire on the force field, causing it to crack. Elsa struggled to keep the force field up. She began to sweat because of both the flames and the strain of trying to maintain the force field.
"Elsa!" Rapunzel said.
Rapunzel tried to blast Maleficent and Hades with Sun Drop energy. Jafar used his snake staff to block the blast. The energy was sent back towards Rapunzel, who just barely managed to dodge it.
"Do you really want to fight me, girl?" Jafar asked Rapunzel.
Jafar used his staff to ready a blast of his own and aimed it at Rapunzel. His blast was met with one from Ariel's trident. The collision resulted in a small explosion. Ariel and Melody took turns blasting him with the trident to keep him off-guard.
As I emerged from the rubble, Facilier and Ursula advanced towards me. He pointed his cane at me, dark magic swirling around it. Electricity buzzed and crackled in her hands.
Merida knocked the cane out of his hands with a well-timed arrow. Ursula used her tentacles to hand the cane back to him. Mulan lunged at him with her sword, which he blocked with his cane. He used it as an improvised weapon to fight Merida and Mulan simultaneously.
Ursula looked back at me with an evil gleam in her eye. She blasted electricity in my direction, which sent me flying back. She grabbed me with her tentacles and wrapped them tight around my torso. My bones cracked. She prepared another electrical blast and aimed it directly at my face.
"This ends now!" Ursula said. All the princesses turned to face her.
"Girls, don't listen to this old witch! I'll be okay," I said.
"We'll see about that," Ursula said to me. She tightened her grip and held the blast closer to my face. "Surrender, or this poor unfortunate soul gets the shock of his life," she said to the princesses.
"Girls…don't!" I said. Ursula tightened her grip even more.
"Jermaine!" Ariel said as she reached her hand out towards me. "Girls, do what she says," she said to the other princesses. Rapunzel and Elsa powered down. Melody, Merida, and Mulan dropped their weapons.
"Okay, Ursula. You have what you want," Mulan said.
"Now please, just put him down," Merida said.
"He's our friend," Elsa said.
"One of our best friends," Rapunzel said.
"In the whole world," Melody said.
"That's the thing about friends, isn't it?" Hades said.
"The more you love them, the more it hurts when they leave you," Facilier said.
"Allow us to demonstrate," Jafar said.
Ursula slammed me against a nearby wall before releasing her grip. She and the other villains combined their magic into one huge blast and hit me with it. My soul was forced out of my body, with only Hades being able to hear and see me. My physical body fell limp to the floor, no longer having a heartbeat or a pulse.
"Huh," Hades said.
"Well, what do you know?" Facilier asked.
"We really did kill him," Ursula said.
"Well done, my friends," Jafar said.
"Indeed," Maleficent said.
"Jermaine!" Melody and Rapunzel said through tears as they reached their hands out towards my now lifeless body. Mulan, Merida, and Elsa also cried.
Ariel just stood there, mouth agape, in silence for a minute or two. Tears welled up in her eyes and streamed down her face. Her hands hit the floor as she dropped to her knees. She couldn't stop crying. Memories of all our past adventures flashed through her head. She glared at the villains through her tears.
Ariel's irises glowed blue, and her sclerae glowed yellow. Her body became surrounded by a glowing aura of blue, white, and yellow accompanied with sparkles of similarly-colored light. The trident glowed yellow in response and floated to her hand. A wave of ocean water appeared and swirled around her. She was returned to her mermaid form. As she rose from the floor, the wave turned into a tall vortex and propelled her upwards.
"What's going on?!" Mulan asked.
"I don't know! Maybe it's a mermaid thing!" Merida said.
"Give him back. Give. Him. Back!" Ariel said to the villains.
Ariel sent the villains flying with a huge blast from her trident. Recoiling, they fired attacks at Ariel. She blocked them with the trident before sending a massive wave of water crashing down on them. They tried to protect themselves with a magical force field, but Ariel broke through it easily, knocking them away.
The magical shockwaves sent out from Ariel's attacks returned my spirit to my body, which was still covered in bruises and cuts. I groaned and grunted as I came to. The other princesses rushed to my side and helped me up.
Ariel descended slowly, ready to deliver a final blow to the villains. They combined their powers again to teleport away in a large cloud of black smoke. Ariel powered down and collapsed onto the floor. She fell unconscious, but only for a few seconds.
"Ariel! Ariel!" I said as I limped towards her. I hugged her.
"Jermaine! You're alive! Oh, thank goodness," Ariel said. The other princesses joined in on the hug.
"What happened to those bad guys?" I asked.
"They're gone, for now," Ariel said.
"We're just glad you're okay, Jermaine," Mulan said.
"Yeah," Rapunzel said.
"That was scary," Melody said. "What if they come back?" she asked.
"Don't worry, Melody," Merida said.
"If any of them do ever try to come back, we'll be ready," Elsa said.
