Shadow is the next person to stop believing in Sonic. This might be a bit more difficult and complicated. Amy believes she can take it though and convince Shadow of Sonic's guilt and necessary imprisonment. How exactly is she going to achieve that? She doesn't know. But Amy can manage. Maybe Shadow won't care enough to take a side or maybe his pride will convince him that he's better than Sonic and would never kill Eggman. Even though he probably would if it wasn't for Sonic. But that doesn't matter now, she only needs to convince him, no psychological crap to do this.

"Hi Shadow!" Amy says joyfully.

"Why are you so convinced Sonic is guilty?" Crap.

"I think the evidence is there and I think he should at least be prosecuted."

"We're both hedgehogs, either one of us could disguise as him." Shadow says.

"Anyone could disguise as him, but who would take the time? Also wouldn't it be easier to dismantle the security system? Those cameras looked awful"

"Those weren't the Doctor's cameras, someone messed with them."

"How would you know?"

"I previously worked with the doctor, he wouldn't be stupid to let security be a flaw if he could prevent it."

"Sure, sure. Whatever Shadow. Even if you don't believe me, stay out of this okay? The last thing I want is for your tendency to go rogue to end up with something bad happening that we can prevent."

"Fine, I won't. But believe me, I'm keeping a close eye."

"I believe you, just stay out of it unless you're willing to help for once." Amy goes out of the building, calmly as she can.

After her visit with Shadow, she pays a visit to the restoration. To keep tabs on everyone else and anything going on, a usual visit only with the new benefit of also keeping tabs on Sonic as he was a criminal now. She walks in, is greeted by others and then stops at Jewels' Office. To make sure everything is well with the beatle. To also make sure nothing bad has happened. She still wants to keep tabs even if Sonic is good enough as dead and buried or even if he is. He might and probably could come back from the dead because of course he would and could.

"Hello Jewel, Sonic didn't try to break out of prison did he?" Amy asks.

"Funny, he did not." Jewel says.

"Good to hear! Any other news I should know about?"

"Not as far as I know of, it's actually been really quiet around here."

"Wait until Sonic gets out, it'll go straight back to being hell."

"…Good joke?"

Amy stares at her for a second before leaving. Leaving Jewel all alone, with her thoughts. Amy gets some papers from Lanolin, who looks a lot happier and then Amy leaves the restoration sooner than she thought she would. That increases her mood again. She's a lot happier now, no Sonic to stop it. Everything has gotten better without him. She already knew she was correct but it's good to actually see it in action.

She visits Kit and Surge where she stays a lot more time than at the other spots. Talking to the two. Kit, neutral as ever and Surge who is happier and more energetic than ever. Amy didn't even think that was possible. They plan for any possible case, more to get something done instead of sitting around and talking, which Surge and Amy do anyways. Kit still seems jealous of Amy but not too much more than before. At least he doesn't want to kill her anymore, or at least that's what she thinks he thinks.

Amy stays till the evening. Not really anymore to do and she's tired, now she can get an actual sleep. She gets home and gets ready for the night. She can't remember a day as simple as this, Sonic being in jail has really improved her situation. Now just to keep him there until he's dead. After all, that's what should happen. Everything has drastically improved from days past. Amy knows exactly what she'll be doing the rest of her life and that nobody can cause chaos to stop her. She will finally be free, for the rest of her life. Breaking the chains of the cycle. Not only for her but for everyone else. Surge, Kit, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Jewel, Tangle, Whisper, Lanolin, Blaze, Silver, and The Chaotix. Every single one of them will be free, after all this time.

Dreaming light and easy, Amy wakes up the next morning. Ready to go to the third part of this part of the plan, convincing Knuckles. She doesn't expect him to be that hard. Even if he's a lot closer to the hedgehog. She's also close with Knuckles. But Tails, after Knuckles, might be a hard sell and trial for her and everything she's got. Tangle had a weak spot, Shadow doesn't care, Knuckles would jump along but Tails… one part at a time, that's why she breaks it into parts, so it doesn't seem so daunting. Worry about Knuckles today, Tails later. It'll be fine. Plan it out. Calm down. It will all go according to plan and if it doesn't she has a backup plan. She can't ruin this, no matter what goes wrong.

Tails visits Sonic in prison on the first day possible. Tails is the only one to do so or at least allowed to do so.

"Sonic, you okay?" Tails says instantly

"I'm fine, Tails, just a bit surprised" Sonic says, surprisingly calm about the whole ordeal

"About what?"

"All of this an imposter takes the place of me and kills Eggman! Who would even think of such a thing? How did they even do it?"

"…Sonic, have you been feeling… well recently?"

"Besides this? Yeah"

"Well, I hope we can get you out soon."

"Thank Tails, it means a lot"

The two talked for a bit more about more trivial matters. Then Tails leaves, hoping his big brother can get out and be free again. Tails goes back home to their slightly more empty house, goes to the workshop and gets back to work making whatever else Tails can, that's what Tails does best after all. Tails works and works and works and work and works and works and works and works and works and works and hopes. Maybe Tails should get out more.
