In the quiet tension of the Hidden Wonderland, Makima and Himeno stood at the edge of the magic circle, close to the spectator seats wall. Their gazes were sharp, the air between them crackling with unspoken challenge. The faint hum of Kang Woo's artifacts surrounded them, treasures scattered carelessly on the ground like the remnants of a forgotten auction.
Makima's yellow-ringed eyes narrowed slightly as she held the Crimson Beherit in her hand, the ominous glow reflecting in her calm expression. "If I get the chance," she said, her voice as smooth as glass, "I will launch an Eclipse ritual. You may call it ambition, but it's my path to equal him—to stand alongside Kang Woo, the Demon King."
Himeno's jaw tightened, her voice hard and unrelenting as her moral compass clashed with Makima's cold resolve. " Makima. You're talking about a ritual that sacrifices everything. People. Lives. For what? So you can keep up with him? You're just as bad as the Crimson Beherit itself."
Makima smirked faintly, unfazed by Himeno's outrage. " Himeno. I've declared my intent already. To remain alongside him, I have to be his equal. I refuse to be left behind."
Reze, who had been observing the building tension, saw an opportunity to interrupt. She took a step forward, her voice lighthearted but strategic. "Hey, Kang Woo," she called out, breaking the silence, "why buy duplicates? Why three of Guts' swords? Why five of those Kakuja Armors? What's the point?"
Her words hung in the air, but Kang Woo remained silent, lost in thought. His crimson eyes were distant, fixed on the holographic inventory hovering before him. What's my next move? His mind turned like gears, ignoring the escalating debate happening at his side.
Aki, glancing between the two women, decided to shift the conversation before it spiraled further. "Himeno-senpai, look at that casket over there." He pointed to the ornate, frost-covered artifact sitting to the side of the pile. "What did Kang Woo call it again…?"
Himeno blinked, momentarily distracted. "Casket of Ancient Winters," she muttered, her voice tinged with reluctant awe.
Makima's teasing tone cut through the moment. "Huh. Never thought you'd remember something like that, Himeno."
Himeno shot her a glare, her arms crossing defensively. "Of course I'd remember it," she snapped back. "Most of Kang Woo's things are real. Too real. Four of those stones could blow this world to pieces, and now they're just scattered here, ignored. How could I forget something like that?"
Her voice softened slightly, her eyes drifting to Aki. "I want a good life. For me. For Aki. When he finally gets his revenge on the Gun Devil… I want us to be happy. Is that so much to ask?"
Aki glanced at her, his gaze softening, though he said nothing.
Reze exhaled, shaking her head as she glanced at Kang Woo again. "You see? This is what happens when you scatter planet-killing weapons everywhere and don't explain yourself. Can't you just answer one question, boss?"
Before Kang Woo could respond, the Crimson Beherit in Makima's hand began to tremble. The faint hum grew louder as cracks appeared on its surface, spreading like veins of blood. A twisted face formed on the Beherit, its grotesque mouth moving of its own accord.
"No despair in you…" it hissed ominously, its voice low and guttural. "Which is no good. FUCKKKKKK!"
Suddenly, the Crimson Beherit shattered into beams of crimson light, evaporating into the air as though it had never existed.
Himeno's face lit up with triumph, her arms flying into the air. "Ha! Serves you right, Makima! The current you is a better person—too good for something like that!"
Makima, though outwardly calm, instantly recognized what had happened. Kang Woo. She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, knowing full well it was his reality warping at work. Most people wouldn't understand this subtle manipulation… but I do.
Deciding to play along, Makima let out a small sigh and shrugged. "Whatever you say, Himeno-senpai."
Himeno blinked, momentarily stunned. Then, realizing what Makima had just called her, she grabbed Aki's shoulder and practically jumped with excitement. "Did you hear that, Aki? Makima just called me senpai! I'm better than Makima! Woo-hooooooo!"
Aki turned to Makima, his brow raised. "Really?"
Makima smiled faintly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "My things are gone, Aki-kun. I may as well ease the situation."
Before anyone could respond, the hologram flickered again, displaying a list of newly purchased items. The group collectively turned toward it as the glowing text appeared:
The Orb Containment Unit (Power Stone) 1
Mandator IV-class Siege Dreadnought Star Destroyer 1
Hulkbuster (Iron Man Armor: Mark XLIV) – Arc Reactor not included 1
Arc Reactor Blueprint Papers and Books 1
Eternal Flame Chalice (including Eternal Flame) 1
Pym Shrunken Laboratory (travel bag/building in shrunken state) 1
Heart-Shaped Herb and Plants 5
Orcrist (Goblin Cleaver Sword) 1
Arkenstone Gem 1
For a moment, silence reigned as everyone processed the sheer absurdity of the purchases.
Reze blinked, rubbing her temple as though trying to make sense of what she was seeing. "No way… Kang Woo, an Imperial Star Destroyer? You're joking, right? That's impossible. That thing is fictional! It's massive! It couldn't possibly—"
Himeno grabbed Aki by the arm, yanking him downward with a panicked shout. "Get downnnnn!"
Everyone ducked instinctively, bracing for impact… but nothing happened.
Slowly, they lifted their heads and turned their gazes skyward. What they saw sent their jaws to the floor.
Hanging silently in the sky above the Hidden Wonderland was the Mandator IV-class Siege Dreadnought Star Destroyer, its immense silhouette casting an ominous shadow. The massive starship loomed over them like an impossibly large predator frozen mid-hunt.
Himeno, still holding onto Aki, let out a shaky breath. "Kang Woo, you seriously need to control what you're summoning. I thought that damn ship was about to crush us!"
Reze, her mouth agape, whispered, "It's real. How the hell is it real?!"
Kang Woo, meanwhile, remained entirely focused, his crimson eyes locked onto an object in his hand: the Orb Containment Unit holding the Power Stone. He stood still, his fingers tracing the edge of the glowing orb as though considering its power.
The group's voices barely registered to him as the hum of the Power Stone's energy resonated faintly in the air.
Makima, who had been observing Kang Woo intently, broke the silence, her yellow-ringed eyes narrowing with curiosity. "Kang Woo," she said softly, her tone edged with intrigue. "That ship… and now the Power Stone? What exactly are you planning?"
Suddenly, the hologram above flickered, and a mechanical voice rang out:
"Congratulations, Player. You have acquired the Arkenstone, the treasure of Mount Erebor. Demonstrating 1% of its wealth as a symbol of your fortune."
Kang Woo's expression shifted instantly. "Oh shit."
Before anyone could react, Kang Woo thrust his hand forward, manipulating his Darkness Manipulation. A massive shadow surged from the ground, forming a colossal umbrella-like shield above the group. The sky darkened for a fleeting moment.
Then it happened.
Gold coins, rubies, diamonds, and solid gold bars began to rain from the heavens, cascading down like a storm of wealth. For exactly three seconds, the glittering treasure fell, filling the magic circle to a height of nearly one centimeter before stopping.
The group stood frozen, dumbfounded as the precious metals and gems clinked against the ground.
Taiyo, who had been watching from the spectator seats, suddenly descended via an ice bridge that formed beneath his feet, stopping near Aki. "Aki! Look! We just got rich! I mean, Kang Woo just got rich!" His voice was an odd mix of excitement and disbelief.
"Shhhh," Aki said quietly, his eyes narrowing as he watched Kang Woo carefully. "Wait…"
Kang Woo, completely unfazed by the chaos, calmly lifted the Orb Containment Unit for all to see. With a slight twist, the container opened, and the glowing purple stone—the Power Stone—was revealed. Its vibrant energy pulsed like a heartbeat, illuminating his face with its unnatural glow.
Himeno exhaled sharply, pointing at the stone. "That's the Power Stone Kang Woo's been bragging about. One more to go."
Aki nodded. "One more to go. The Soul Stone…"
The Angel Devil, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke up. His voice was dry and deadpan but tinged with genuine confusion. "I have no idea what's happening anymore. A ship appeared out of nowhere. Kang Woo's artifacts and tech are clattering onto the ground like junk at a yard sale… and now it's raining gold. I'm done."
Kang Woo, ignoring Angel Devil's commentary, closed the container around the Power Stone with a sharp snap. His crimson eyes scanned the group before he shrugged nonchalantly. "I have everything now, right? Five Infinity Stones, a giant Star Wars ship in the sky, all this treasure—" he gestured dramatically to the glittering wealth surrounding their feet— "what else could you possibly ask for? Just be grateful."
Reze tilted her head, her voice carrying a nervous edge. "Boss, you're sounding a little… scary."
Kang Woo's smirk sharpened into something unhinged, and he threw his head back with a dark laugh. "And I spent 15 million Malevolent Points on rerolls and useless shit, right?! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The group flinched slightly at his manic outburst. Himeno exchanged an uneasy glance with Aki, while Makima merely watched with her ever-present calm.
Abruptly, Kang Woo's laughter stopped, his expression turning deadly serious. "No, it's not," he said quietly, his tone hard. Without another word, he tossed the Orb Containment Unit containing the Power Stone into the air.
The group collectively gasped.
"What are you doing?!" Aki shouted.
The orb soared high, spinning through the air until it collided with the engine core of the Star Destroyer hanging above. A pulse of purple energy rippled outward as the impact resonated through the massive ship.
For a tense moment, nothing happened.
Then, with a rumbling groan that echoed across the sky, the Star Destroyer began to descend. Its massive form tilted forward, trailing smoke and arcs of blue lightning as it plummeted toward the distant mountains.
The ship crashed with a thunderous boom, the ground trembling beneath their feet. A massive plume of smoke and debris rose into the sky, but the Hidden Wonderland remained unharmed, the impact site safely far away.
The group turned to Kang Woo in disbelief. Himeno's voice cracked as she shouted, "Kang Woo, WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!"
Kang Woo exhaled deeply, his expression unreadable as he replied, "What I want isn't there at all. It's not here—nor anywhere in this world. I thought confirming the Infinity Stones' existence would lead me to something that could satisfy my curiosity… but no. There's something this universe lacks because it doesn't have it in the first place. And the system doesn't do shit."
The weight of his words hung heavy in the air. Without another word, Kang Woo turned and sat down again, his posture slouched as though deep in thought, his crimson eyes shutting slowly.
Makima, watching him closely, moved to sit beside him. The yellow rings in her eyes softened as she tilted her head slightly, her voice gentle yet unwavering. "Kang Woo, it's not power you're seeking, is it? You're searching for something you lost." She paused, her calm tone carrying genuine intent. "I don't understand the concept of universes yet. I only know worlds—like the one where our planet resides. But I can help you find it, after all… I'm your first wife."
Kang Woo's eyelids remained closed, but a faint smirk appeared on his lips, his voice low but resolute. "Yes… Thank you, Makima. But this one—I need to finish myself."
Silence fell once more.
Suddenly, Kang Woo's crimson eyes snapped open, glowing faintly with raw demonic energy. The air around him grew heavy, crackling with power. "Maximum output on demonic energy: Authority of Beholder."
The world seemed to shudder as dark crimson light surged through the sky, erupting like a scar across the heavens. With an ominous hum, a hundred massive eyes manifested across the skies above. Each eye was framed by swirling black mist, its surface pulsating, and every pupil burned a brilliant crimson red—rolling and darting erratically, as though searching for something.
RUMBLE. RUMBLE. The sound was deep, resonant, and otherworldly—like a chorus of ancient entities waking from slumber. Each eye's iris spun like whirlpools as they scanned the void with unrelenting purpose.
The group instinctively froze, the overwhelming presence of the Authority of Beholder pressing down on their bodies like gravity itself.
Himeno gripped Aki's arm tightly. "What… What is he doing now?!"
Reze's voice trembled as she shielded her eyes from the unnatural glow. "Those eyes… It's like they're looking for something beyond this world. Are they passage to otherworld ?!"
Makima, her gaze calm but focused, whispered softly, "No… They're seeking. Trying to pierce into something that doesn't belong to this universe." Her lips curled faintly in admiration. "Even now, Kang Woo is reaching for the impossible."
Suddenly, a distinct sound rang out from the crimson sky— "Luuut-luuut-luuuut!"—a resonating hum as if an ancient mechanism had activated. The hundred eyes, scattered across the skies, all swiveled in unison to focus on a single point.
A hologram formed before them, projected from one of the massive eyes. An image sharpened into view—a colossal temple bathed in a dim, golden glow. The architecture was ancient and ornate, adorned with carvings of mystical symbols and towering statues. Golden lions flanked the temple gates, and towering columns rose like pillars holding up the sky. .
Kang Woo's voice broke the silence, his tone low and intrigued. "The Lost Library of Cagliostro. A place where What-If universes converge. And where Strange Supreme caused a mess."
Aki blinked, clearly lost. "A what? Strange who?"
Himeno tilted her head, still processing the words. "What do you mean What-If? What's that supposed to mean?"
Makima, ever the quickest to catch on, glanced at Kang Woo, her yellow-ringed eyes narrowing with realization. "To simplify it… it's a horrifying universe, right, Kang Woo?"
Kang Woo smirked faintly, his gaze not leaving the hologram. "Exactly."
Angel Devil crossed his arms, exhaling heavily. "Let me guess. You're going alone this time, right? You're not dragging us into whatever interdimensional nightmare this is?"
Kang Woo scoffed, "I've always been solo." His gaze slid toward Makima knowingly. "Though this time, she'll insist on coming wherever I go."
Makima stepped forward, her voice unwavering as she nodded. "Naturally."
Without warning, Kang Woo extended his hand into the air as if grabbing hold of something invisible. In his thoughts, the reality was clear. The Authority of Gateway doesn't work if the difference is between universes—especially when it spans billions to trillion of light-years.
Then, his voice, low but filled with resolve, rumbled. "Then I'll open it myself."
He inhaled deeply, his crimson eyes flashing with unrestrained power. "HAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHHH!" With a roar, Kang Woo tore through the very fabric of space and time. Reality itself screeched in protest as cracks of pure nothingness appeared, spiraling outward, and a gaping rift opened before them. The glowing tear hummed with chaos, a gateway to the unknown.
As Kang Woo and Makima prepared to move forward, a trembling voice broke through the hum. "Wait… Kang Woo!"
The group turned to see Kobeni, her fists clenched tightly, her voice shaking with emotion. "I'm coming with you."
Makima arched a brow, her voice cold but cutting. "For what purpose? This isn't rainbows and sunshine, Kobeni."
Kobeni looked down, her tears threatening to fall. Her voice cracked as she spoke, raw and broken. "My family always underestimated me. Told me I was useless. They discarded me, treated me like I was nothing." She paused, her voice trembling but determined. "Until you came, Kang Woo. You saved me. You gave me this ability—this ice ability that doesn't even need mana, something I can conjure. At least let me try. Let me prove I'm not worthless."
A single tear slid down her cheek as the room fell silent.
Kang Woo stepped toward her, his gaze softening for a moment. He lifted his hand and gently wiped the tear from Kobeni's cheek with his thumb. His voice was quiet but firm, carrying an unshakable weight. "You're not worthless, Kobeni. You're the most useful. The best chef with the best food I've ever tasted."
Kobeni couldn't hold back; she stepped forward and hugged Kang Woo tightly, her shoulders trembling.
Kang Woo allowed it, standing still as she clung to him. After a moment, he gently pushed her back and smiled faintly. "Let's go. We're going to find the unknown."
Kobeni nodded, her tears drying as her resolve solidified.
As they turned toward the glowing gateway, Kang Woo and Makima suddenly stopped in their tracks. Makima's yellow-ringed eyes narrowed as her senses flared.
Kobeni, confused, looked around. "Why… are we stopping?"
Makima's voice dropped to a whisper. "Someone is watching us."
Kang Woo tilted his head, his lips curling into an amused smirk. "The Nexus of Reality, huh? You bald-headed bastard… You really love telling stories and peeking, don't you?"
Far beyond the reach of their reality, within the Nexus of Reality, a singular figure stood unmoving. The Watcher, a silent observer of countless universes, stared through the rift Kang Woo had opened. His gaze lingered on the Demon King's steps toward the unknown. In his thoughts, the Watcher whispered softly, He knows…
The Watcher's mind churned, his oath of non-interference an invisible weight. Perhaps there is a way to save the universe he's about to visit. I cannot act… but he can.
Suddenly, a hologram appeared—visible only to Kang Woo—flickering faintly in the air. A line of text displayed itself, bold and clear: "You know me."
Kang Woo's crimson eyes narrowed, his voice dripping with sardonic amusement. "If this was a few days—or even weeks ago—Makima wouldn't have noticed this. But her experience with Gaia made her stronger."
Makima's yellow-ringed eyes glimmered as her gaze locked onto the unseen. The faint outline of the hologram became clear to her, as though her bond to Kang Woo's Commandment of Piety granted her the same privilege. Her voice was as sharp as a blade. "Another Gaia figure, or some world system about to get blackmailed… or put on my kill list. Just like Gaia."
The hologram flickered again, displaying a response: "No, I'm a good person."
Makima smirked, unimpressed. "Then show yourself. Not just to Kang Woo and me—but to everyone."
Kang Woo chuckled under his breath. "100 points, Makima."
Makima turned to him, her faint smile carrying smug satisfaction. "120 points, Kang Woo."
Suddenly, the hologram flared brighter, and the image of a tall, bald figure draped in a flowing blue robe materialized before the group. The Watcher, known as Uatu, appeared, his cosmic presence towering yet calm. He spoke slowly, his deep voice reverberating like an echo across time itself. "I am the Watcher. I observe the multiverse, and I have come only to speak with the male."
Kang Woo's smirk didn't waver as he stepped forward, his crimson eyes gleaming with interest. "Oh Kang Woo. That's my name. Also…" His grin sharpened, his words laced with challenge. "…it seems this is your first time witnessing this universe. Am I wrong?"
The Watcher nodded solemnly. "Yes. When you forcibly opened that gateway, I could only glimpse your world. It lies beyond my reach—and the reach of this reality. You are… an anomaly."
Himeno, watching the exchange unfold, broke the tension with a whispered comment to Aki. "Did Makima find a new hobby threaten a bald man?"
Aki, his voice flat but tinged with exasperation, replied, "Himeno-senpai… that's not an ordinary bald man we see on the streets."
Makima, unbothered by the Watcher's imposing aura, stepped forward and tilted her head. "You called him an anomaly. But what is it you really want to say?"
The Watcher's deep voice reverberated like a low hum of reality itself. "You seek something beyond this world—a power or truth that even I cannot define. The universe you wish to enter is fragile and dangerous. Its fate hangs by a thread."
Kang Woo snorted, his crimson eyes gleaming with amusement and sharp calculation. "Fate hangs by a thread because Strange lost his lover instead of his hands, right? That's the cause, isn't it? A What-If scenario gone wrong. I go there, grab what I need, and leave. The so-called 'absolute point in time' isn't my concern."
The Watcher's expression faltered, as if momentarily unsure of himself. "But you… you are an anomaly. Unlike others, you are not bound to the flow of this universe or its points. You can act where others cannot. Save that world—or at the very least, stop Strange from—"
"—blowing up the absolute point in time and screwing everyone over with it, right?" Kang Woo cut him off, his voice edged with dry sarcasm. He tilted his head, his smirk sharpening. "Let me guess: the easiest solution is kill Doctor Strange, take the win, and have a happy ending, huh?"
The Watcher shook his head, his voice solemn. "No. Strange must remain at his strongest—but with a great heart, not a broken one corrupted by despair. Without that balance, the destruction of his universe is inevitable. I merely hope you can guide this world toward salvation. I fear… a crisis beyond my comprehension looms."
Kang Woo exhaled slowly, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face. He lifted his finger to his forehead, rubbing it like he was warding off a headache. "This bald bastard…" he muttered under his breath. He's out here 'fearing' a crisis, but he doesn't know he's just idling at his Nexus of Reality, watching timelines fall apart. He probably doesn't realize that his idle ass brought Infinity Ultron to life and screwed everyone over .
Makima, standing beside him, studied Kang Woo's expression, the faintest trace of a smirk curving her lips. "You're thinking something particularly nasty, aren't you?" she whispered.
Kang Woo's eyes flickered to her with the ghost of a smile. "Always."
The Watcher's voice remained calm, but his gaze darkened with purpose. "I cannot interfere, as my oath forbids it. But you… you can do what I cannot. The fate of this fragile universe may depend on your actions."
Perhaps… I can offer something to steer him, the Watcher thought. His cosmic mind churned, desperate to find a foothold with Kang Woo. "Anomalies—like yourself—have begun to appear in this universe. They do not belong here, but their presence may align with your goals."
A hologram flared into existence, forming a vast, ominous space: The Dark Dimension. It spread across the projection like a sea of endless black, fractured with swirling, chaotic energy of purple and red hues. Massive floating planets and fragments of reality hovered aimlessly in its depths, their surfaces bathed in sickly shadows. The expanse twisted unnaturally, as though time and space had no meaning within its bounds.
The Watcher gestured subtly to one of the mini-planets within the hologram. There, half-buried in stone and darkness, lay three unmistakable objects:
A broken blade wrapped with rusted chains at the handle.
A lifeless figure with an orange tint, motionless against the surface.
A faintly glowing Quincy Cross, embedded into the ground like a gravestone.
Kang Woo's crimson eyes narrowed as he leaned in closer, his expression unreadable. Is that… my old friend's belongings? His thoughts stirred, carried by a strange weight in his chest. Ichigo Kurosaki. The name lingered in his mind. His Zanpakutou… and someone elses Quincy Cross. That idiot. Back when we met, we helped each other in that chaotic realm, but he vanished without a trace during my early conquest of the 8th Hell. His fingers twitched as the sensation of loss surged briefly through him—old, buried memories resurfacing.
The Watcher's voice broke his reverie. "It is located in the Dark Dimension. I do not know when these artifacts appeared… but they should not exist here. They, too, are anomalies."
Kang Woo's smirk returned, though it was far colder this time. "Venuzdonóa ."
A shiver ran through the air as countless black runes appeared out of nowhere, sprawling across the vast ground of the Hidden Wonderland. The runes climbed the walls, encircled the sky, and inscribed themselves on invisible surfaces like a sentient magic circle. A chorus of low, ancient chants echoed faintly through the realm.
Innumerable black particles of light began to gather, clustering into a massive, pulsating shadow. Slowly, the formless shadow twisted and coalesced, projecting the shape of a sword—a longsword of pure darkness. Its edge hummed with overwhelming malice, as if reality itself cowered in its presence.
Kang Woo stretched out his hand, and the shadow rose from the ground. As he gripped the hilt, the shadow inverted itself, revealing Venuzdonóa—a blade that seemed forged from the void, its surface gleaming faintly like the edge of an abyss. The world trembled, ripples of power distorting space.
The Watcher's gaze widened, for the first time betraying unease. "That sword…"
Kang Woo smirked, lifting the blade with a casual flick of his wrist. "This sword guarantees a kill on gods. At close range? I'd say you're far too close for comfort."
Before anyone could react, Kang Woo swung Venuzdonóa in a single, precise arc at the hologram. The blade's edge tore through reality itself, carving open a jagged, glowing hole in the Nexus of Reality. A ripple of energy roared outward as the tear expanded, and suddenly—Kang Woo found himself face-to-face with the Watcher, no longer bound to his holographic form.
The Watcher stood frozen, his towering form seeming smaller beneath the edge of Kang Woo's reality-defying blade.
Kang Woo pointed the dark longsword at the Watcher, his voice sharp. "Makima. Make sure he's not lying."
Makima stepped forward, her yellow-ringed eyes glowing faintly as she scrutinized the Watcher with an unsettling intensity. Her gaze pierced through layers of reality itself, searching for even a flicker of deception. After a moment, she nodded.
"He's telling the truth," Makima confirmed, her voice calm but unyielding.
( currently somehow makima can detect kang woo lies . kang woo only needed double check from makima if this watcher is the same from what if )
Kang Woo exhaled, his grip on Venuzdonóa loosening slightly as he turned his gaze back to the Watcher. "Then explain how the 8th Hell connects to the Dark Dimension. My conquest shouldn't have bled into that realm."
The Watcher, now composed once more, spoke with measured caution. "I do not know. I only recently sensed its disturbance, as if two realities began bleeding into one another. It is as much a mystery to me as it is to you."
Kang Woo dismissed Venuzdonóa, the blade dissolving into shadowy particles that scattered like ash into the air. The oppressive weight in the room lifted slightly as the void-rending power of the sword faded.
The Watcher, observing the faint scars on reality where the sword had been, spoke with a cautious, almost hesitant tone. "Like I said, I am a good person."
Kang Woo let out a dry chuckle, his crimson eyes narrowing slightly. "More like someone who waits too long for things to blow up in their face before doing anything about it."
Makima smirked at Kang Woo's blunt words, but said nothing. With a wave of his hand, Kang Woo tore through space, creating a rift that led back to the Hidden Wonderland. The two stepped through without ceremony, leaving the Watcher standing in his Nexus. However, the tear Kang Woo had created remained. Around the Nexus, faint cracks formed, webbing out across the fabric of reality—a lingering testament to the mere presence of Venuzdonóa.
The Watcher's eyes lingered on the cracks, his expression grim. That sword is no joke, he thought. It could kill me in a single strike. I'm more convinced now than ever—he can save that universe. But he's... moody.
Back in Hidden Wonderland, Taiyo, who had been quietly watching from a distance, approached Makima with an innocent curiosity. "Ms. Makima," he asked, tilting his head, "is that bald man an evil guy?"
Makima's yellow-ringed eyes flickered with faint amusement. She looked down at Taiyo and replied calmly, "Kang Woo thinks he's a good person. However..." She paused, glancing at Kang Woo, who stood silently at the edge of the magic circle, his crimson eyes fixed on the Nexus tear. "It seems the universe that I, Kang Woo, and Kobeni are visiting needs someone to keep it spinning. Someone to ensure it doesn't fall apart."
Kang Woo scoffed, turning to face the group, his hands shoved casually into his coat pockets. "The problem isn't just the universe falling apart. It's the broken-hearted man at its center—a guy who lost his lover and decided the whole world should burn for it. And now the Watcher thinks I'm the perfect candidate to babysit him." He ran a hand through his hair, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "FUCKKKK."
Makima chuckled softly, unfazed by Kang Woo's frustration. Her calm demeanor only seemed to heighten the absurdity of the moment.
The Watcher, still in his Nexus, watched the exchange through the lingering tear. An idea sparked in his mind, and his voice echoed softly through the rift. "The woman beside you—what's your name?"
Makima turned toward the tear, her expression calm but curious. "Makima," she replied smoothly. "The unemployed Control Devil."
Kang Woo snorted, unable to contain his amusement. "Makima, you already work under me as my first wife. And my second, if you count how much you will manage my life."
Makima shrugged, a faint smirk playing on her lips. "Gotta be humble sometimes," she said, her voice carrying a playful undertone.
Kang Woo snorted, shaking his head. "Humble? Coming from you? That's rich."
Taiyo, still confused, leaned closer to Aki and whispered, "Is this how they always talk?"
Aki sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Just don't think too hard about it, Taiyo."
The Watcher's voice interrupted their banter as a shimmering hologram appeared before Makima. His tone carried a mix of hesitation and resolve. "I'm going to be honest this time—I'm taking a gamble here, but it's worth the risk."
The hologram expanded, revealing the details of the quest bestowed upon Makima:

Makima's yellow-ringed eyes widened slightly, a rare flicker of surprise crossing her usually composed face. "Me?" she said softly, glancing at Kang Woo. "Not you?"
Kang Woo chuckled, his crimson eyes glinting with amusement. "it's your turn now , Makima. You got bestowed a quest just like the ones that pop into my head." He crossed his arms, smirking. "Good stuff, too."
Makima's lips curved into a faint smile, though her voice carried a sharp edge. " I need to really introduce myself Again ." She straightened, her tone commanding yet smooth. "My name is Makima, The Control Devil—the embodiment fear of control. And just like Kang Woo said, I'm not about to babysit someone, especially someone who could become a threat to the entire world."
Her gaze turned cold, the playful undertone vanishing. "Kang Woo has his own needs, and I intend to follow him as his lover. Whether that universe destroyed or multiplies into two doesn't concern me."
Himeno, sensing an opportunity, shot her hand into the air. "Pick me, Bald Head! Pick me!" she exclaimed excitedly.
The Watcher's hologram flickered slightly as his expression shifted. His voice carried a faint trace of disbelief. "...I really need a wig," he muttered to himself.
Aki elbowed Himeno sharply. "At least show some respect, Himeno-senpai."
Himeno tilted her head, her expression suddenly blank as she looked at the Watcher. "What was your name again, Baldie?" she asked, her voice filled with misplaced enthusiasm.
The entire group facepalmed in unison.
Aki groaned internally, his thoughts heavy with exasperation. Himeno-senpai just dropped her IQ the moment she got excited.
Reze stood silently, observing the situation with quiet disbelief. She just killed her own chance to get anything out of this, she thought, shaking her head.
Meanwhile, the Angel Devil stood up, dusted himself off, and walked toward the spectator seats. "I need ice cream for this," he said flatly, picking up a cone as if the entire scene was a reality show.
Kang Woo and Makima exchanged a glance. Kang Woo's lips quirked into a knowing smirk. "Drunkard."
Makima's expression remained calm, but her words were laced with dry humor. "Himeno just got promoted to a dunce."
Makima turned her gaze toward the Watcher's hologram, her yellow-ringed eyes narrowing slightly. "Why not him?" she asked, tilting her head toward Kang Woo. "You likely know him, even if this is your first time seeing him in person. He's far more qualified than I am, though I'm sure he'll refuse anyway."
The Watcher's glowing form flickered faintly, his voice carrying a mix of curiosity and dry amusement. "Does he really strike you as someone who needs anything?"
Makima paused, her sharp gaze drifting over to the clutter of artifacts scattered on the magic circle . Her eyes fell on the Infinity Stones, a massive armor clattering on the ground, and other priceless relics strewn about carelessly—objects of immense power treated as if they were mere trinkets. The Hulkbuster armor, though unfamiliar to her, gleamed faintly amidst the chaos, its imposing presence adding to the absurdity of the scene.
Her thoughts shifted to the moment Kang Woo had tossed the Orb Containment Unit holding the Power Stone into a Star Destroyer ship , causing it to crash spectacularly into a mountain range as if it were nothing more than a disposable toy.
Makima exhaled softly, a faint smirk tugging at her lips. "Fair point," she said, her tone carrying a subtle edge of amusement and resignation.
The Watcher's hologram flickered as he spoke, his voice calm yet firm. "I need to correct your statement about Kang Woo. This is the first time I've met him or heard of him. I know nothing about him because he is not from our multiverse—and I suspect not from yours, either. However," he paused, his gaze narrowing, "that dark sword he used to threaten me... it can kill me. That alone make me sure he is an anomaly. But rather than Kang Woo, how about you, Control Devil, become the savior of the universe?"
Makima nodded slowly, her expression unreadable. In her mind, she considered the strange proposition. A bald-headed man, perhaps a god of that reality, placing his hope in me. Interesting. But I will seek my own benefit and serve my king above all else.
Before she could respond, Himeno's voice broke through the moment. "I remember now! Your name is Watcher, right? You said it yourself!" She beamed, her misplaced enthusiasm filling the space.
Aki sighed, running a hand down his face before ruffling Himeno's hair. "Great work, Himeno-senpai. You're getting smarter, even in your happy-go-lucky state."
Himeno pouted, crossing her arms indignantly. "Respect your senpai, Aki."
Himeno then turned to the Watcher, a sly grin on her face. "Alright, Watcher. If Makima declines, why not give this quest to me instead? I can be very persuasive, right, Aki?"
Aki shook his head, exhaling heavily. "Himeno-senpai, you're only good at killing devils, which we've learned are invalids in Kang Woo's eyes. Oh, and drinking—and cigarettes."
The Watcher raised an eyebrow at Himeno, his voice tinged with slight amusement. "I'm sorry, one-eyed girl, but the Control Devil—Makima—is far better suited for this task. And besides, from what I've observed, your magic only creates water-based constructs with properties akin to beer and alcohol. Hardly sufficient for saving a universe."
Himeno froze for a moment, reflecting silently. The lightheartedness in her demeanor dimmed slightly as she crossed her arms and glanced away.
Makima observed the exchange, her smirk widening just slightly. She glanced at Kang Woo, who stood quietly, arms folded, observing everything with detached amusement. Their eyes met briefly.
"She'll be fine," Makima murmured.
Kang Woo's grin returned. "She'll bounce back. She's drunkard-proof."
Kang Woo stepped closer to Makima, a thin veil of shadow forming around them. The Authority of Silence activated, creating a zone of absolute privacy where their conversation couldn't be heard or sensed. The shadows flickered faintly, their movements subtle yet deliberate, enclosing the two like a cocoon.
Makima's yellow-ringed eyes glinted faintly as she leaned slightly toward him. "How much benefit are we talking about from this quest that's been handed to me?" she asked, her tone calm but laced with curiosity.
Kang Woo crossed his arms, his crimson eyes narrowing as he considered her question. "Enough to cover at least half of the flaws in your abilities," he replied smoothly. "For example, even now, you haven't awakened your origin magic. What you have is impressive, yes—but it's limited. Your current power is tied to your traits as the Control Devil, representing the concept of control and Soul Dominion Enhancement. On top of that, you have the abilities I've granted you through the Commandment of Piety, like Darkness Manipulation and Hellblaze—that dark flame of yours capable of burning souls to dust."
Makima nodded thoughtfully
Kang Woo tilted his head, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "Still, even with the grimoire the Watcher is offering, training will be necessary. Don't think you'll just become an all-powerful mage overnight." He paused, his tone shifting to one of mock exasperation. "Though, I'll admit I'm a bit jealous. You're being handed three abilities that took me considerable time to master. And the moment you accept this quest, you'll be able to use them instantly."
Makima's lips curled into a small grin. "Voiceless Incantation Magic. Loved by Mana [Blessings]. Magic Creation Ability." She recited the names of the powers with intrigue. "Are they really that valuable?"
Kang Woo gave her a knowing look. "Makima, most mages—average ones—have to chant like they're delivering a goddamn monologue just to summon a simple fireball. That's where Voiceless Incantation Magic comes in—it'll let you bypass that nonsense."
He gestured vaguely, the shadows around him rippling slightly as he continued. "Loved by Mana is another game changer. It means you'll likely fix that rough mana output you've had every time you use something like my Hellblaze—or maybe not. It depends. But it should make your magic flow smoother and more efficient."
He stopped briefly, giving her a pointed look. "And as for Magic Creation, well, that one's the real jewel. It'll let you create any kind of magic you want, but there'll probably be drawbacks. Like every prodigy or legendary mage, you'll need your own resources and formulas. You'll be playing with raw power and potential, but mastery will depend on how well you develop it."
Makima's grin widened, her sharp teeth faintly visible. "Interesting," she murmured, her voice laced with satisfaction. She tilted her head, watching Kang Woo's confident yet slightly amused expression. "It seems this quest might have its perks after all."
Makima leaned in closer. Her grin widened, her yellow-ringed eyes glinting with mischief. "Careful now, Kang Woo," she murmured. "With this quest and the benefits it offers, my level might just reach 90 someday."
Without warning, she wrapped her arms around Kang Woo, pulling his head to her chest. Her voice dropped to a playful yet possessive tone. "And when that happens, I'll make you mine—even if you're the Demon King. It's going to happen soon."
Kang Woo's expression remained calm, but his crimson eyes gleamed with humor. He waved a hand, summoning a holographic projection of his Player Status Panel, which floated between them, glowing faintly.

Makima blinked at the display, her thoughts swirling. I took my eyes off his level for just a moment, and now it's soaring to the moon. a wave of jealousy washed over her. Acting on impulse, she bit Kang Woo's finger lightly, a strange mix of affection and annoyance in the gesture.
Kang Woo chuckled softly, his free hand reaching up to ruffle her hair. "Nice, nice," he teased. "Good sit. Good wife."
Suddenly, a knock echoed on the dark cocoon. It was Aki, his tone flat but laced with exasperation. "Have you two finished your intimate moments?"
Kang Woo sighed dramatically, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Shame. We were just about to continue our lovey-dovey moments."
Makima chuckled lightly, her voice carrying a playful tone. "Kuhuhuhu."
The cocoon began to disperse as Makima shifted the conversation. "What about the psionics reward? The true reward—is it worth it?"
Kang Woo didn't answer. He simply smiled, the silence heavy with mystery. As the cocoon dissolved completely,
Makima thought to herself, No more information... it's a surprise, huh?
The group turned their attention to Himeno, who was still visibly shaken by the Watcher's earlier words. Her usual spirited demeanor had dimmed, and her reflection in the moment was almost heartbreaking. The Watcher, observing from his hologram, seemed to hesitate, guilt flickering across his expression as if he wanted to speak.
But Kang Woo raised his hand slightly, signaling the Watcher to remain silent. He turned his attention to Himeno, letting her gather her thoughts.
Himeno's voice trembled slightly as she spoke, her words carrying the weight of self-doubt. "Kang Woo... how threatening is Stephen Strange, really? And... am I still just Himeno the drunkard? Even though I have Lucky Drunkard, which can generate and manipulate water with alcohol properties, it feels... useless. Just a formality, right?" Her voice cracked as she acknowledged how she had misread the situation, a rare moment of vulnerability shining through her usual bravado.
Aki stepped forward, wrapping his arms around her in a comforting embrace. "You're more than that, Himeno-senpai," he said softly, his tone gentle but firm.
Kang Woo's voice broke the silence, his tone steady yet filled with a subtle challenge. "How much have you played RPGs in your life, Himeno?"
Himeno blinked, surprised by the sudden question. "My whole life," she admitted, her voice quieter now. "To escape from cruel reality—the tragedies I've faced, losing my comrades over and over while working for Public Safety. But... even in RPGs, water magic is useless, right? Always at the bottom tier..."
Kang Woo interrupted her mid-thought, his smirk returning. "Let's play a game," he suggested, his tone light yet commanding. "One more time. Only this time, I'm the one setting the rules—not Aki trying to punch me for fun."
Himeno tilted her head, a flicker of curiosity sparking in her eyes despite her sadness. "What's the game?"
Kang Woo's grin widened. "If you manage to land a scratch on me—just one—I'll show you something special. Something no one else has seen before. And it just so happens to involve water attributes."
For the first time since the Watcher's words, a smile crept back onto Himeno's face, tentative but growing genuine. "Alright, let's see—"
Before she could finish her sentence, a massive Heilig Pfeil shot past her, landing with a thunderous impact. Startled, she turned to see Kang Woo standing confidently, already prepared with a fully charged Sankt Bogen, its 32 glowing arrows shimmering ominously.
In her thoughts, Himeno could only mutter, A final boss doesn't wait for the player to return, huh?
Without a word, she broke into a sprint, dodging the arrows as they shot toward her with blinding speed. The ground around her erupted with every impact, leaving her breathless as she narrowly evaded them. Despite her efforts, her body finally gave out, and she fell, panting heavily, unable to keep up with the relentless assault. The glowing bow in Kang Woo's hands still held 16 remaining arrows, glowing brighter with each passing second.
Himeno crouched in silence, her mind racing. A giant whale attack in an RPG... something like that could be amazing, she thought, closing her eyes and focusing on the thought. She concentrated deeply, pulling on every ounce of her willpower and imagination as the remaining arrows whistled toward her.
Suddenly, with a surge of power, a massive water whale emerged beneath her, its shimmering form blocking the incoming arrows with a tremendous splash. The whale propelled her into the air, lifting her high above the battlefield as she stood atop it, riding its back with wide, exhilarated eyes.
"Wowwwwww!" Himeno shouted, her voice filled with pure excitement and joy as the colossal water creature carried her forward, crashing directly into Kang Woo.
As the whale slammed into him, the force sent waves of water spraying across the area. However, Kang Woo remained completely unharmed, standing firm and smirking with amusement as the water receded. Himeno leaped from the whale's back, landing gracefully and sticking Aki's katana toward Kang Woo's neck.
"How do I start become the best magic user, like you?" Himeno asked, her voice a mix of determination and hope.
Kang Woo chuckled softly, his eyes glinting with pride. "Looks like you already have ."
He stepped back, lowering the katana gently with a single finger. "You won," he admitted, his tone light. "But you still need more techniques and sub-abilities to round it all out."
Himeno's face lit up with an excited grin, her earlier self-doubt washed away by the thrill of her newfound ability. Meanwhile, Aki watched the scene unfold, murmuring quietly to himself, "While I respect Makima... maybe Himeno's teacher—ironically—was always going to be Kang Woo, the man she keeps calling a narcissistic jerk."
Suddenly, a hologram appeared before Himeno, glowing softly.

Himeno stared at the hologram, her mouth slightly agape. She turned her gaze to Kang Woo, confusion and realization flickering in her eyes. "There's no one else who could have set this up... except the Watcher. But this time, it's definitely your doing, Kang Woo."
Kang Woo smirked, his hands casually tucked into his pockets. "Why are you looking at me like that? I only did my part of the deal, didn't I?"
Himeno raised an eyebrow, her voice dripping with incredulity. "A Demon King asking someone to defeat him, huh?"
Kang Woo's grin widened. "You're obsessed with RPG games, right? Why not make them your reality?"
Himeno blinked at him before a faint smile crossed her face. "Rather than a Demon King, you're more like a nice person, Kang Woo," she said softly, surprising even herself with the admission.
Makima, who had been silently observing the exchange, smiled subtly. Without hesitation, she turned her attention to the glowing hologram before her and pressed the Y button. The hologram flickered for a moment before dissolving into light, and the initial payment from the Watcher's quest flowed into her. Attributes began manifesting one by one, each absorbed seamlessly into her being.
In her palm, Makima noticed a swirling blue strand of light, almost resembling DNA, along with intricate formulas.
Kang Woo's voice broke through her quiet awe. "That's your Magic Creation Ability—it's yours now."
Around makima, a radiant aura of blue mana began to form, wrapping her like a protective veil. The energy pulsed gently, as though recognizing its rightful master.
Kang Woo observed, a flicker of approval in his gaze. " The Loved by Mana blessing. Feels like a mother finally finding her child, doesn't it?"
Makima nodded slightly, examining the unenchanted grimoire now resting in her left hand. She tilted her head, her calm demeanor unchanged. "Even with all of this, I'll still need to rely on my knowledge," she murmured, turning the grimoire over in her hands.
After a brief moment of silence, she looked at Kang Woo and said, "Shouldn't we stop keeping the Watcher waiting? My adventure is about to begin."
Kang Woo chuckled, shaking his head in mock defeat. "My adventure just got hijacked"
Makima smirked faintly, holding the grimoire close. "Consider it a shared journey, Kang Woo."
Kang Woo, Makima, and Kobeni stepped forward, approaching the rift Kang Woo had previously torn open with his bare hands. The swirling portal shimmered with an otherworldly glow, leading to the Lost Library of Cagliostro Universe, the birthplace of Strange Supreme.
As the trio entered, the rift began to close behind them. Himeno called out, her voice laced with uncharacteristic sincerity. "Kang Woo, thank you for everything. And don't die yet—not at least until I can punch your face."
Kang Woo turned his head slightly and smiled, offering her a silent acknowledgment. Makima, walking beside him, raised her hand in a playful V-sign, her calm confidence never wavering. The rift sealed with a final shimmer, leaving the room in silence.
The Watcher's hologram flickered one last time, his voice calm yet filled with a storyteller's cadence. "And so, the Demon King, the Control Devil, and a chef embark on a journey to save the universe…"
Angel Devil, munching on a fresh cone of ice cream, tilted his head. "Wowwww, you really like to narrate, huh? Just like Kang Woo said."
Reze crossed her arms, her gaze shifting to the fading hologram. "Bald Head, The Watcher," she said with a faint edge of sarcasm, "is my boss going to be alright?"
The Watcher's hologram gave a faint shimmer, as though contemplating her question. "I don't know. In the multiverse, everything is possible. But shouldn't you be more worried about yourself? You doubt your alignment now, don't you? Torn between the man who showed you miracles and the organization you serve."
Reze froze for a moment, her thoughts racing. Ahhhh, this bald-headed god is way too chatty, she thought with mild irritation.
The Watcher's hologram flickered one last time before fading entirely, leaving behind his parting words. "I bid you farewell. May your life and journey succeed."
As the remnants of the rift disappeared, Aki glanced at Reze, his expression calm yet thoughtful. "Not going to try to figure out what the Watcher said, but you know..." He paused, his tone lightening. "Makima and Kang Woo nearly killed each other the first time they met. That means he'll probably accept you anyway, Reze."
Reze blinked, caught off guard by Aki's comment, but before she could respond, the Angel Devil's attention shifted. His gaze locked on a small rift that had appeared—one leading to his private beach, where his resurrected family resided. A secret that Kang Woo had sworn him to protect: no one must know Kang Woo's ability to resurrect the dead.
The Angel Devil sighed, his expression unreadable. "Better I go. I need to rest my brain, considering Kang Woo killed me multiple times."
Aki, catching the opportunity, smirked sarcastically. "Yeah, don't come back, Angel. What Kang Woo did to you was totally worth it, right? Isn't that right, Angel?"
The Angel Devil gave a faint, tired smile. "Take care of your new wife, Aki," he replied smoothly, turning toward the rift. With a final wave, he stepped through, the portal closing behind him.
Meanwhile, Aki's attention shifted to the commotion near the magic circle, where he spotted Himeno and Taiyo enthusiastically gathering gold, diamonds, and other treasures strewn across the area. Aki raised an eyebrow, exasperation creeping into his voice. "Uh, Himeno-senpai, what are you doing with my brother?"
Taiyo looked up, grinning. "We're getting rich, Aki! Kang Woo's probably gonna ignore all of this anyway."
Himeno chimed in, her voice cheerful and excited. "Yeah! Let's party! Beers, cigars, and pipes—the fancy kind rich folks use!" She tossed another handful of gold into a makeshift sack, her enthusiasm infectious.
Reze, watching the scene unfold, sighed and decided to contribute. "I'll start tidying up all these artifacts," she offered, gesturing to the mess around the magic circle. "But I'm not touching the dangerous ones—or the Infinity Stones. I value my life, thank you very much."
Himeno glanced at her with a grin. "No one asked anyway," she teased, sticking her tongue out.
Aki shrugged, shaking his head with a faint smirk. "Suit yourself, Reze."
