74. incoming chapter 74

" SUPPRESSIVE FIRE " Commander crieg yelled out to her subordinates as she knelt over the body of her ex superior , Having just been promoted down here in the dusty scripts of the ancient sith tombs .

The other three soldiers of her previously five man team knelt against the rubble and blasted Into the open passageway that lead to the klor slug nests .

But these beasts weren't making their assault any easier , As flesh coloured beasts tore from the ground. Their circular mouths roaring at their direction as seated jagged teeth dripped with saliva , Their Limbs , Tipped with sharp gallons carried them along , Rushing at her team member's in an effort to skewer them or tear their heads from their bodies .

" At your request captain " Ross , Garbed in the red sith trooper armour rose and aimed his rule down the corridor, Despite the heating barrel of his weapon , It erupted with plasma fire , Spewing down the hallway and Tearing the klorslugs to pieces.

Crieg , Kneeling over her deceased captain , fingers holding against his neck only to find no pulse.

' Damn ' She ripped the dog tags from his neck and slid them in her armour , Hefting the backpack of explosives meant for the slug nest to be destroyed ' Corman's not going to be happy isn't he '

The bugs stopped for a moment , The pack killed that very moment .

Ross fell down to one knee , Groaning as he , nicholai and markus looked at crieg for their next orders.

" We have a mission " Crieg winced , None of them particularly wanted to continue on into the depths of the tomb.

Shadows hung all around them , Like a veil hiding what was behind its shadow , Even now they could hear the critters and clicking from behind the veil of shadow , Whispers if the tomb and whatever was hidden within wanting to drag them off into the shadows .

Their only salvation this deep in the tomb was the lights mounted to their helmets and guns , Illuminating their near surroundings, Keeping them safe for the moment .

" Our objective is nearby , We ... " Crieg was silenced as a roar from the direction of their objective drew them to their feet, Their lights Illuminating a larger klor slug rushing them .

" KILL IT " Crieg yelled as she opened fire .

Four sets of blaster fire blew towards the thing , Yet it slammed its claws Into the ground, Causing borders to just out and obscure the fire whilst it burrowed into the ground dissapearing into the ground a moment later .

" Where the fuck did it go " Markus yelled out , Aiming his weapon in all directions , As everyone began to look around , Weary of the beasts location .

" Keep your eyes open " Crieg whispered. Her words carried across her helmets comms system .

Seconds turned Into a full minute , The whispers and clicking persisting for several long moments .

It was five seconds past a full moment before Nicholai yelled out.

" BEHIND YOU " Nicholai blasted behind where crieg was , The woman rounding to find the klor slug right behind where she had previously been .

Crieg leant back as the giant red klor slug hung over her , It's jaws opening wide as it made to rip her head clean from her body .

The stench of its breath , Unfiltered, caused her face to cringe at the horrid smell .

It lunged in her direction as Ross and markus aimed their weapons at it to kill it before it could kill her .

Yet as it jumped , The thing halted in the air , it's neck turning around , It's legs bending in odd directions and spine Snapping all within a single second of its jump .

And by the time it's massive bulk hit the ground , The acrid smell of its blood slowly spilled out of its deceased body .

" What was " Ross touched the oddly bent klor slug with the butt of his rifle .

" Exactly where corman said you would be " Yellow eyes were illuminated in the pitch black darkness of the tomb .

Their lights rounded to the source of the voice .

' Was this boy walking through the tomb in the dark ' Crieg felt her spine tingle as the expressionless yellow eyes of the boy before her narrowed as the light from her team focussed on him .

" Do you mind " The boy held his hand over his eyes as the torches obscured his vision slightly .

' An acolyte ' Crieg almost slumped in relief , But as she realised it was an acolyte. Her shoulders became tense .

Acolytes were often blood thirsty , Ready to fight and tear apart anyone lower on the totem poll to themselves.

" My apologies " Ross lowered his torch as the others followed suit .

" Good" Obrunik scratched the side of his chin as he approached , The training saber of his hanging from his left hand .

" May I ask what you're doing here milord " crieg stepped forward , Hoping to draw the ire of this dangerous creature from her men squarly onto herself .

The slight twitch of the boys lip wasn't missed by any of them , Nor was the look of delight that overcame the boys features at being addressed as a lord .

" Three of your fellow squads were wiped out on the way to the egg chambers , Corman asked if I could ... assist in the endeavour , As such I am here now ... " Obrunik explained , Walking into the group of sith soldiers, Inspecting them closely with his curious yellow eyes.

" Now ... what is that status of your objective " All humour fled the boys face , Replaced by cold indifference as he looked between crieg and her team like they were nothing but pests he was tasked with baby sitting .

" Captain tylo deceased , as such command of the team falls to me milord , We are currently three hundred metres from our objective , Our explosives are undamaged and triggers primed ... " Crieg explained , Obrunik nodding along thoughtfully .

" Very well ... form up , get ready to move out , we depart in thirty seconds ... I do not have much time to waste with you " Obrunik began a slow walk past the sith soldiers , Their lights Illuminating his back as he began to walk into the bowels of the klor slug nests , His eyes and training saber Illuminating yellow streak in the darkness around him.

The sith soldiers looked between eachtoher for a moment before crieg nodded , Choosing to follow the acolyte for the moment , Falling in tow with the boys movements.

" You ... " Obrunik pointed at Ross " Beside me , You will guide us to the objective "

" Of course milord "

" What are you attempting to do there milord " Crieg asked coming up to ovruniks left shoulder , Her helmet helping to illuminate the stone tablet held in his hand.

" Learning to read the sith tongue ... It's... simpler than I thought it would he " To the sith soldiers looking at the stone tablet held in the boys hand , it looked more like bird scratch than an actual language .

" While i cannot yet exactly tell you what any of the words on this tablet mean , There are several duplicate letters and repeated words , Thus if I can correspond one of these words to the basic tongue , I can find a common ground to base this language from and begin translating " O Rubik's eyes darted over the sith runic language before him , The words often and more often than not were complete gibberish , But this gibberish had a pattern , And more and more he saw some of the runic language , Depicting some of the letters as verbs .

' Huh ... some of the words in this language appear similar enough , But whilst the same word is spoken it appears to have verbs added to depict further meaning with the word. Thus might only make it slightly more difficult to translate '

" Ah milord ... " Obrunik turned his eyes to Ross, Whom reached over and pointed at one of the words " I believe that word can be translated to the word power "

" Oh ... " Obrunik raised his eyebrow in curiosity .

" When you're stuck in a tomb with a ... scholars who reads aloud , you tend to pick up some things " Ross shrugged , Turning away from the inquisitive look on obruniks face .

" I shall rely on you further then " Obrunik turned his eyes back to the tablet , Seeing the word power translated as ' Midwan '

' I see ... this might be more interesting than I thought,' Turning to Ross. Obrunik squinted at the man " Look at this tablet and tell me every word on this tablet you can recognise and their meanings "

Handing the tablet to Ross, Obrunik looked at the soldier expectantly .

Not wishing to waste the opportunity to learn , No matter the source, Obrunik made to milk the situation for all it was worth.

Lightning leapt from his hand , The familiar feeling of the darkside creeping through him gave him a small smile , The intoxicating feeling , The swell of hatred and anger blistering the very air around him as a klor slug was rendered deceased by the lightning that leapt from his hand .

As the last bug died , Crieg knelt down and changed the cartridge of her blaster .

" objective is in the next chamber " Crieg announced as Obrunik pondered for a moment .

" Then we stop here for the moment , Recuperate before we move on " Obrunik announced , Returning his eyes to the stone tablet .

' Ah I see ... the word midwan translates to power ... the word Nu is I and châts is gain ... so this must translate to I gain power ... ' Obrunik scrunched his brow for a moment as he pondered 'No ... that's not right ... the word châts is the word power ... so the word châtsatul must be similar but of other meaning ... perhaps a verb of some sorts '

' And this ' Obrunik looked at the set of beads currently suspended from the sash wrapped around his waist , apparently some kind of prayer beads from the long lost past , reaking of the darkside . He intended to study it later .

' Best to finish this first before jumping to the next task ' Shaking his head refocussed on the tablet , However without anything else to cross reference it with , Was proving difficult to do .

" That's a big bug " Obrunik puckered his lips thoughtfully as the klorslug queen screeched at them from the other side of the chamber " are you sure you weren't sent on a suicide run "

Under the massive bulk of the queen was one of the many nests infesting the tomb, And all around over twelve other klor slug variants crawled from under the ground and in the walls .

" It certainly seems that way " Crieg cringed as she reloaded her blaster , The klor slug moving to guard their queen as more and more cries , Calls for their Kind echoed throughout the corridors .

" I see ... " Obrunik put away the tablet by sliding it into the satchel on his side " I see ... time to get a killing "

" Arm the explosives ... Ross, Nicholai and markus , Guard our flanks , I'll draw their attention " Obrunik's hand sparked in anticipation as he stepped into the chamber , Nostrils filling with the acrid stench of death and slime ... eyes alight with hunger.

" You heard him " Crieg announced as she knelt down and removed the explosives , Beginning the process of priming them .

He rushed forward , Training saber aloft in his right hand as lightning sparked between his fingers .

With no blade training whatsoever , He had to rely on sheer instinct , natural skill ,Might and the will to survive if he wanted to hest these beasts and their queen .

He neared the first klor slug drone , Muscle tensing in his right hand as he swiped the training blade at it'd rearing mid section.

The beast sheered in half under the deceptive strength of the strike , Whilst lightning blasted from his other hand, Cooking another drone as he ducked under the swipe of a large red klor slug .

Leaning back , Obunik felt the breath of the klor slug bear down on him as two more drones rushed his sides .

Seeing the pincer movement, He allowed himself to fully fall back , Landing on his back with a thud. He ignored the pain on his back , Using it to hone his focus as the drones , Having missed their attack redoubled their efforts to kill him.

At the entrance to the chamber he could hear blaster fire beginning to pick up , No doubt from the sith troopers gunning down the slugs attempting to come from their behinds .

' They're weak ... ' The voice whispered in the back of his head once more , his brow twitching as his announced flared . He sprung from his back onto his feet , Leaping out of reach of one of the larger slugs , Batting another of the head and launching another bolt of lightning from his hands into the open maw of one which had leapt at him .

' They're holding you back ... ' It whispered once more , that same mocking whisper , He knew not its source, But he wasn't foolish enough to listen to it .

He landed with a skid , Grabbing a boulder with the force and launching it at one of the bugs , Flattening its head against the wall as two more moved to replace its place .

' They're really taking this seriously ' Obrunik smirked as he reached towards another bug and made a crushing motion. Watching with satisfaction as it contorted and crushed in on itself , Exploding with viscera and bone sprawing away from its body .

In the dark , Despite having some vision of the chamber , Obrunik hadn't seen the queen move. It was only a flaring through the force that allowed him to cross his arms over his chest. Taking the smack from the queens arms before being flung across the chamber into the far wall .

" THE ACOLYTE " Ross yelled out , The pitch black chamber being lit up by Ross torch Illuminating his position, With the slugs moving to kill the acolyte with him momentarily dazed .

" Shit " crieg cursed , Seeing obrunik shake his head in a daze .

Making a split second decision , Crieg hefted her rifle and took aim into the chamber , Torch Illuminating the eggs.

' Get up quickly sith ' Crieg thought before pressing the trigger .

The following silence after the bolts struck the eggs was deafening , As every klor slug in the chamber stopped what they were doing , Rounding to face the destroyed eggs .

" I think you pissed them off " Ross whispered as the queen turned to their position , Teeth chattering in some form of instinctual rage .

" Yea ... " Crieg whispered , Followed by opening fire as several of the klor slugs rushed then as the Queen roared in rage.

Obrunik lay on a pile of dirt in the dark , The frantic flashes of light and the sound if blaster fire ignored by him as he tried to calm the ringing in his ears .

' A bug ... getting the better of me ... ' Obrunik thought absent-mindedly, Staring into the mid distance as a wave of light passed over him.

' A bug ... '

' kill it ... make it pay ... it's blood should serve as your revenge '

' Got the best of me ... ' Obruniks brow twitched , A small grumble running through his chest as he blinked .

' A weak '

' WEAR ITS FLESH AS YOU SOAK IN THE BLOOD OF ITS YOUNG AND ITS FETUS'S AS YOUR SOAP ' The cried of whatever was around nox whispered as his left hand curled , Training saber discarded several metres away where it landed .

' A FUCKING BUG ' Nox rose , Yellow eyes perceiving the moving darkness of the queens form as she moved towards the sith troopers that had drawn the attention of the queen and her brood .

' NO '

Blinding white light assaulted everyone's senses . The egg chamber rumbled as the sith troopers looked away , The sudden heat assaulting them as the were forced to duck for cover .

Lightning bolts crashing overhead, Striking stone and slug alike , Rebounding off of pillars and rushing down the corridor .

SCREEEEE * The queen cried out as it was the main focus of the torrent of lightning , The bolts flying from its body striking others of its kind whom weren't fortunate enough to survive.

The queen wailed and fell over , Rolling around and rushing through the chamber even as the source of the lightning followed her movement with his hate filled gaze .

His face was twisted , muscles taunt as the tips of his fingers emitted smoke , the flesh momentarily frying from the overcharged lightning heightened by his rage filled state.

Eggs were smashed in her erratic state , Her lumbering form trying to break the walls of the chamber so she could escape , Only to be lifted off the ground slowly as lightning repeatedly stuck her form .

As the lightning running down the corridor calmed down , Crieg and her team were afforded the chance to see the source of the lightning .

Standing in the corner of the chamber, Hands aloft and pointed at the queen klor slug , Obrunik stood tall , Black hair billowing under the heat even as his face was marked with the sneer of his hatred .

Illuminated by flashes of red lightning , The troopers watched the queen , Suspended above the centre of the chamber , Crying and flailing around as obrunik extorted some effort to keep her there .

They could see her armoured plates blackening , The smell of her flesh cooking as acid began to fall from between her mouth .

And with one last screech into oblivion , The queens movements stopped .

For five more seconds , Obrunik struck the corpse with vindictive glee , The victor of their booth before simply stepping away , The lightning halting as the singed tips of his fingers burned red raw.

" Stupid bug , Now it knows its place " The light around obrunik died down as the lightning faded , Now only illuminated by the torches of their helmets .

They stepped back as he turned to them .

" Don't we have an objective to achieve " His voice returned to its previous state , We'll aware of their spike in their fear .

" Right ... "

...

" Objective completed captain corman " Crieg announced as Ross, Nicholai and markus stood beside her , Each with their hands held to their helmets in salute .

Now in the entrance to the tomb with artificial lights set up , The team got a good look at the boy whom had saved them .

" They performed their duty admirably ... " Obrunik spoke evenly , His disinterest clear as he looked towards the deeper depths of the tomb , Towards the mercenary groups having taken housing in the tomb .

" I could here the explosions from the charges from here... outstanding sir " Corman handed nox some credits whom simply pocketed them before turning away .

" Obviously " Nox brokered no further words as he sauntered off into the darkness ... no longer caring for those left behind .

...

" I'm going to kill you now " Obrunik hissed , Lightning coating his training saber as his training saber was coated in lightning .

" You will die " One of spindrels acolytes hissed as they approached.

" No ... I don't think so " Obrunik shook his head and raised his left hand at the acolyte .

A sickening crunch followed as nox twitsed his hand , And the acolyte across from him fell to the ground , His heads orientation reversed .

Seemingly not caring about the acolytes death , Another of the circle began to rise .

' I'm going to have to fight them one by one ... Unforntunately... ' Nox turned to the next to rise , Pointing his already sparking hand at the rising acolyte.

Rage flowed evenly , Brokered and channelled by his fingers , The smell of burning flesh soon followed as the second acolyte fell to the ground , Face twisted and burnt away by a barrage of lightning .

" I see why you're all here ... weak .. pathetic ... the lot of you " One by one the six fell , Whether by his superior strength, Might or rage , Their corpses soon filled the chamber as spindral looked apon them with a cold detachment.

From then onwards spindrel spoke of the tenants of code of the sith , Turning to dismiss obrunik and continue with his own duties .

" Before I leave ... " Nox saw spindrels curious gaze as he withdrew the sith tablet he had spent the last couple of hours translating.

" Yes. .. acolyte " Spindrel took the tablet and looked it over before giving obrunik a questioning gaze .

" What does that say ... " obrunik asked evenly , Not showing fear in the face of scorn that spindrel sent him momentarily.

' A thirst for knowledge ' Spindrel looked over the tablet in thought, Impressed but choosing to instead show agitation Instead .

" Are you daft boy , This is the code I just recited to you in its entirely " Spindrel spoke. A hint to the boy , If he remembered the code in its entirety he would be able to translate the tablet in its entirety.

' And perhaps down the line , Learn the sith code entirely and its causing tongues '

Taking the tablet back , Obrunik showed nether anger nor dissapointment at spandrels words , Rather a mere raised eyebrow .

" I see ... yes " Obrunik , Now completely understanding the tablet in its entirety and the words within, Pondered for a moment before breaking from his thoughts " I thank you for your teachings ... until next time ... spindrel "

' YOU will go far boy ' The hairs on his arms stood on end for a moment as the iris's on the boys eyes burned with silent fury ' Nurture your hatred for everything around you ... let it burn the world's you step foot apon '

HOURS LATER

Zash stood in the distance, Studying the subject currently walking out of the tomb of ajunta pall.

" He's magnificent " He face , Beautiful and young , Supple lips Curling upwards as she stared at the boy of her visions .

Even now , Freshly bathed in the embrace of the darkside , The darkside hung around him , a blanket heralding his future might .

' And it is all ... mine ' She turned away as he marched up towards the sith academy .

WEEKS LATER - FAR AWAY FROM SITH ACADEMY

Sand spirits shrieked in all directions, As obrunik , Garbed in his sith executioner outfit , Marched through the heavy sandstorm billowing apon him at all sides .

' I'm going to kill you for this harkun ' Blackened veins ran down the sides of his eyes , Many hours spent in the academies archives , Soaking in the knowledge held within the many holocrons .

There was more , He knew there was , And he was outraged by the lack of knowledge held within the academies library , Histories , Basic knowledges any acolyte could learn , But having learnt it all , He felt starved , Robbed of his desire for knowledge .

And so , Between his little ' Requests ' From harkun attempting to have him killed during his tests .

He placed himself under the tutelage of the other sith within the academy .

Though this wasn't mere teaching , They wanted him to do something , Something dangerous more often than not , Something they didn't want to do , If he died during the process then so be it . This was the exchange he agreed on , Jobs for knowledge .

The more knowledge he learnt , The more he understood , And the more he realised he didnt know .

He gained many abilities, Learning how to stave off and regenerate the damaged he sustained from lightning , The essences of dark healings . Rituals he hadn't yet performed .

But there was one power that was beyond him currently , One many in the academy didn't know .

This was force drain , Tought from the library holocrons , Many in the academy couldn't use it .

This was because to use this power , One must have had it used on them , Only then could you understand it , Only then could you use it .

Instinct ... was what was needed .

And thus , With the frustrations mounting, Obrunik found himself here , In the middle of the dessert for several days , Sent out by harkun for an expedition which ' Mysteriously ' Failed , Now wandering back towards the sith academy .

' You'll pay for this ' Obrunik cursed before he found his feet slipping all of a sudden , A hole in the ground Swallowing him while and into the sands of the desert .

UNCHARTED GROTTO

Landing with a crunch , obrunik groaned , Feeling one of the bones he had landed on to have pierced his side .

' Bastard ' He growled as he placed his hand on his wound , Channelling the darkside to the wound . Forcing himself to enter a darkside trance , Obrunik began the painful process of forcing his wounds to heal .

The force rushed to the wound , Harvesting pure force energy to heal the would , It was inefficient but worthwhile, Leaving him momentarily drained of energy , But the gash in his side healed completely.

With his eyes regaining clarity , Obrunik rose , Lowering his hand to finally look apon where he fell .

The air was damp and musty , Like a tomb from the valley of darklords .

The difference was this place wasn't simply a pitch black corridor with engravings on the wall with everything within wanting nothing more than to consume your very essence .

No , Instead of pitch darkness , A single ray of light shone in the distance, A ray falling down apon a stone sarcophagus in the distance .

With that ray of light , Obrunik could see a mote of pitch black surrounding an island on all sides . The eary still pitch black waters chopped at the banks with small splashes .

But he cared not for that , As the stench of the darkside called from the sarcophagus , Calling him , Hungry, Promising power .

It was but a faint whisper , Like whatever was calling was a mere shadow of what it could be .

With intense curiosity , Obrunik waded Into the waters , Not caring about the bone chilling freezingness of the waters , Or the feeling of something trying to pull him under .

He ignored all this as he swam to the island, Grunting with exertion before his hand planted itself on the islands shores , The desire to learn drawing him ever closer.

It was his folly , a weakness he was aware he had , The desire for knowledge often had him doing some rather questionable things .

Luck had been on his side so far , And as he made his way to the sarcophagus, His hands toying at its solid stone lid .

It was that naivete, The belief he was invincible that forced him to open the lid without reservation .

Before he even had the lid fully off of the sarcophagus, The pitch black robes within launched their attack in an effort to regain a mere semblance of vitality.

He had unknowingly stepped into the unmarked tomb of the sith lord darth nihilus , The place where only his robes had been buried, Crying out to the force , Tempting and trying to consume anything that would come near. Without the mask it had been Robbed of the majority of its power , Leaving only a whisper of nihilus's will and consciousness that even now stubbornly clung to its robes , Now eager to devour the morsel before it .

PRESENT TIME

Month 1 - week 2 after leaving tython .

" Hello kento , What is it you wished to discuss with me " Vas asked as the ship travelled through hyperspace towards the outer rim territories .

Vas sat at a desk in the captains quarters , typing away onto a datapad as he sat at his desk .

" I ... " Kento didn't know exactly how to start the conversation , Stopping typing on the datapad for a moment , Vas looked at kento with a side glance , Eyes Squinting for a short moment.

" I see ... this is about that isn't it ... " Vas spoke up , Startling the man across from him as he gestured vas to come forward and enter the room .

" Why don't you get comfortable... " Vas motioned to his bed , Leaning his elbow onto his desk , Twirling a stylus in between his fingers as kento walked forward, Closing the door behind him .

" Thank you " Kento began with a whisper , sitting uncomfortably on the edge of the team leaders double bed , Seemingly Incredibly uncomfortable about the talk that was needed to be had if they were to go forward with their mission " I don't really know where to begin "

" How about with a question ... do you love her " Vas asked , Placing the stylus onto the desk and turning to focus his attention solely on kento " Truly love her "

Refusing to meet his eyes , Kentos tongue pushed against the sides of his mouth.

" I do ... with every cell of my body ... I know its wrong ... I know it's against the code I " Kento stopped whatever defence he was going to come up with as vas put his hand up to silence the man .

" What do you think you are kento ... " Vas asked , Interlacing his fingers whilst giving a comforting look to the jedi across from him .

" I don't understand ... I "

" What are you kento ... are you a human ... a spirit a robot ... what are you " Vas asked , The human looking apon his visage with a turned head slightly .

" I'm... human " Kento didn't know what vas was getting to , But was willing to listen none the less .

" Do you feel things ... do you have emotions " Vas asked , The man still confused but answering none the less .

" Exactly ... you're human . You have a heart and emotions ... a desire as natural as the next person . The ... code of the jedi breeds exactly what they're trying to push away . What you need to understand is that all things feel fear , All things die eventually... all things come to an end . Accept that simple truth of life ... and turn your love for mallie into your greatest advantage . " Vas placed his hand on Kentos shoulder , The blonde man raising g pale blue eyes to catch his gaze .

" Love is an emotion ... it is not dark or evil ... it is merely that ... and expression of pure emotion that cannot be denied ... don't hide it and don't deny it ... you'll only come to regret it " Vas offered his final words , As kento remained silent as he rose to step towards the doorway .

" why don't you meditate on my words along with mallie ... only together should you deliberate on what you should do " Vas offered his final advice as the door to his quarters opened , kento stopping once again whilst fidgeting uncomfortably .

" Thank you vas .. I.. don't know what I would have done without your input " Kento said his piece , Leaving without further words as vas turned back to his datapad , Using the stylus to tap at the datapad .

... FIRST PLANET .. VOSS ...

' Its ... a shadow of what it once was ... Good ... nobody shall know my secrets ' He felt the urge to fly towards the temple where he first learnt to flow walk , And destroy all potential repertoires of knowledge held within the Voss mystic temple .

The corvette approached Voss, Heading directly towards the settlement of Voss ka .

Arriving all at once, The five other jedi stepped into the bridge of the corvette , Looking at the planet with open curiosity.

" Voss huh .. I wasn't expecting this to be our first destination " Batys , The brown skinned human spoke up as vas guided the ship towards the atmosphere of the planet now more mining surface than free grassland .

" You know this place " Kento hunted to the unasked question .

" Studied it a fair while ago ... the ... origional residents of the planet are near extinct and prefer to be left alone in their settlements ... I think they're called the Voss ... and the gro ...make " Soon tested the last word .

" Its the gormak ... " Vas corrected , With Soon clicking his fingers and nodding .

" That's the one ... anyway some corporations have taken residence in the world and have turned most of the fertile lands into large mining plots ... " Soon finished his explanation as their corvette entered the atmosphere .

' Transmitting Landing codes 'He sent the codes , recieving clearance to land shortly after in an assigned landing pad.

" When we arrive we're going to split into teams ... kento and mallie ... you're going to try and find any hint of the so called Voss mystics I've heard rumour about... don't come off as pushy or aggressive, We don't want to alienate the locals " Vas requested , The couple readily agreeing , Looking to eachother with Newfound and feelings and understanding of exactly just what they were to eachother.

' Its so cute I'm going to be sick ' vas rolled his eyes turning to soon , Leska and shai.

" I would like you three to ask around the settlement for .. other rumours... also please organise some more supplies and have them loaded before our return " Vas instructed , The three nodding to eachother.

" Where are enough going to be master " Shai asked. Placing herself down in the co-pilots seat.

" The force is calling to me ... I'll keep in touch but I feel whatever the force wants me to see may be more ... private " Vas explained , Refusing to elaborate on his lie .

" If we don't hear from you within six hours ... we'll come looking " Kento offered some form of support to vas , The two exchanging friendly banter soon after as the ship approached the city of Voss ka.

... VOSS WILDLANDS ... MIND HEALERS GROVE ... SUSSET SLOPES ...

He approached the series of caves that used to be the headquarters of the mind walking arts subset of Voss mystics .

Removing the sealing stone standing in his way by turning the stone to dust with a force crush , Vas stepped into the series of caves with a determined look on his face.

" If anything remains within these caves .. they die today " A cold whisper called to him from within the caves , Drawing him into its bowels as he simply stepped into the darkness without weariness .

...

Alone , Dead and musky with the scent of a tomb ... Nox stood within the long since abandoned ruins over four thousand years old .

Right where he stood was where he originally learned the mind walking ritual , The start to his ascent to power ... and solidifying it .

" Such a sacred place " Vas detected nothing alive within the entire ruin, Nor anything with any sort of soul or spirit in the general vicinity.

" Now ... just where is ... there " He found a series of ancient unscripted tablets , Built to withstand the annals of time and pass on their knowledge to those that would come seeking long after their deaths .

" Too bad ... your knowledge lives through me and only me " Vas growled, Outstretched hands aiming towards the inscribed tablets .

" Truly ... I am the death of the Voss way " Vas smiled in mirth at the words once spoken to him apon the space station that used to hang over head over four thousand years ago .

" Maybe you should have stayed put of my way ... them your civilisation wouldn't have to die " And with a simply closing of his hand , All the tablets with inscribed knowledge before him were turned to dust , with no chances of being remade of constructed forever more .

" And to be doubly sure that nobody will ever be curious enough to come looking " Vas stepped out of the chamber of now destroyed knowledge, Hand reaching up towards the ceiling of the cave that housed the ruins of the Voss mind healing temple .

It started as a small shake , As stalactites of rock began to shake and rumble , Soon becoming more violent as small cracks began to form above .

" And now " A flick of his hand forced the fissure open and wide , Condemning the cavern to it's fate .

The ground rumbled violently , As the ceiling began ti collapse in it's entirety , Boulders falling down and collapsing the ruins , Walls falling over as obelisks were swallowed by stone .

All the while vas simply walked away from the ruins ,Massive portions of the ceiling falling onto and completely destroying the ruins in his wake , And by the time he stepped out of the long winding caves , Ignoring the fact that the entire cave system was now collapsing in on itself , Vas stepped out into the lowering sunlight with a wide smile on his face , As if freed from the shadows of the past as the last of the caves crashed shut behind him , Forever hiding what was within until the end of times would come and consume the world.

" Its a new time baby ... " Vas held has hands aloft at his sides , Basking in the sunlight with his smirk settling into a small reminiscent smile .

" Let dead knowledge die in its grave ... theres no need to resurrect it when its not wanted " Vas lowered his arms , Turning to another Voss temple along the long way of the mystic trials .

... SHRINE OF HEALING ...

The ancient dilapidated ruins were half destroyed , Swallowed up by nature in four thousand years . But thanks to the ancient rituals that took place in the temple , It had been imbued with energies that allowed it to stay standing beyond its natural lifespan.

And so , Making his way into the main antechamber within the temple , Vas spotted his target across the distance. The chambers of the mind healing ritual .

Walking into the mind healing ritual chamber, Nox spotted a dream rock sitting Unused in a pedestal at the centre of the room, glowing iridescent green with several long rotted Voss corpses around the dream rock . Others weren't so old, Others human ... do doubt raiders having come in an attempt to reap the treasures of the ruins for themselves .

" Too bad for them " Vas placed his hand down apon the dreamrock , Pulling it from the pedestal , A hollow click echoing around the chamber at his action .

' This could be useful later ' The dreamrock vanished from his hand with a simple use of fold space , Sending it to his fortress on nathema .

" And now then " He looked around in calculation ...

" Only the ritual chambers need to be brought down ... but for good measure " He motioned at the walls of the chamber inscribed with long lost languages, the temperature kf the room skyrocketed , High enough to melt stone under foot , As the stone below burned bridge red as it was turned to slam underfoot . All around and throughout the temple , The runes on the wall began to distort and shift , Becoming distorted , Melting under the heat being asserted apon their structure.

Making liberal use of his mastered pyrokinetic abilities , The ritual room of the temple , and the surrounding chambers became unrecognisable slag, Many wouldn't think anything of the walls that now looked like melted stone rather than runic alphabet.

Reaching towards the ritual area , Nox made a raking motion towards his chest , Dragging the living force from the area kicking and screaming , Leaving nothing but a dull emptiness in the force , A dead zone nobody would be able to use to even attempt to recreate the mind walking ritual .

And finally , Nox turned towards the supporting pillars lining the central chamber of the temple ruin , Motioning to the lillars , Tearing chunks out of the support structures, debris flying around in all directions .

" And now what is dead can truly rest undisturbed " The temple ruin, Now devoid of the force empowering the stubbornly resistant building , It began to collapse in on its own weight , the long since overdue affects of its dilapidated state finally taking hold now that the force no longer gave the ruin life .

...

He stood outside , Watching what remained of the massive ruin collapsed in on its own weight, Throwing dust and debris flying into the air as the ground rumbled underfoot.

Soon the rubble of the ruin settled down , leaving a pile of debris that would no doubt be removed and this hill too would be turned into a mining operation .

" Maybe I could make some calls and expedite the waiting process " Vas thought , Turning to the speeder he had used , Hopping on and urging the speeder forward towards Voss ka .

...

Arriving at the landing pad after doing what he needed to do , Vas came to a stop beside the corvette ,Seeing soon and leska carrying crates of supplies up into the ships boarding ramp .

" Master we got some frozen food stores from the local mart , Soon's storing them away before they go bad ... I got some fruits for us " Shai held up a blue coloured fruit. Holding ti out to him expectantly as she took a large bite from her own.

" Ah my thanks dear , You did a marvellous job " Vas accepted the fruit and took his own bite , The girl smiling up at him , Accepting his praise with the look of a preening cat .

" Leska .. uhm " She took another bite " recorded some rumours from throughout the town you wanted us to get. Mostly local legends and what not ... we did hear the gormak have ... retreated to some settlements somewhere very far away from here "

Shai continued eating as they moved around the hanger , Guiding her master towards a new bunch of crates containing their new foods .

" Uhm ... kento informed us that ... " She took another bite as she took a seat , batys coming down and hefting one of the crates onto his shoulder before marching back up the boarding ramp into their cruiser .

" A ... village of Voss mystics ... whatever they are ... has been recently making sightings through the settlement ... disturbing the locals and spewing on about prophecies they had a long time ago " Shai shrugged as Vas turned away , Eyes narrowing in thought.

' Seems like I'll have to ... make contact ... with the Voss ' Vas turned back to shai , Leaning down and petting her head " You did good shai ... how about you go get your things ready , And we'll go see what the Voss are up to huh "

" Okay " Shai excitedly got uo fron the crate, Rushing away into the ship to collect her robes and other necessities .

...Voss Village ...

Five speeders slowed to a stop beyond the outskirts of the village , The old hutts , Made in the ancient style of the Voss mystics, stood in a central location around the town centre .

' How far you have fallen ' Vas thought , Swinging his leg around the body of the speeder as he hopped off , Shai jumping off the back of his speeder whilst the other jedi dismounted their own.

" What do we know about these ... mystics " Kento drawled with distaste , not believing in the slightest the myths around their legends.

" Well " Vas began , Reaching across the speeder to pick up his backpack .

" Legends from the local area ... and jedi temple archives indicate that the Voss once made use of the force to ... piece the veil so to speak ... " Vas explained , Ensuring his saber was clipped to his belt " They were completely uninterested in learning from the jedi ... or at the time from the sith . Instead they believed the force was exclusively used for healing and prophetic visions ... if which they were rather famous for their predictions and usually ... uncannily accurate depictions of future events ... though they were mighty haughty ... often believing themselves the sole chosen of the force ... much like other force based organisations action now that I think of it "

The others listened , Adjusting their robes to cover their bodies tighter in the setting sun , A slow breeze causing the trees around to rustle the leaves slightly .

" What happened to them , Shouldn't they ... you know ... be more prominent " Batys asked , Looking at the slowly fading village with a curious eye as kento and mallie loomed at the village with distate .

' Chosen ones of the force ... how preposterous ' Kento nearly sneered , Instead chosing to release his agitation into the force , Feeling a sort of calmness and clarity which flourished throughout his body .

" Well ... you know the chances if a force user being born are ... minuscule... if not almost impossible ... and with one being born maybe a year ... one in five and one in ten ... unless of course the world you are on is .. a nexus of the force ... " Vas noticed shais perplexed expression at the word nexus ... not understanding the term at all " And with so few force users being born . When you're unwilling to expand your numbers through conscripted numbers ... your organisation will no doubt dwindle until it becomes defunct... and ultimately fade away into obscurity ... now the mystics ... though still somewhat prominent ... are nowhere near in number as they used to be "

' Though ... ' Vas inclined his head , interpreting the waves of the force resonating from the village ' Not as extinct as I thought they would be ... there's still a couple of hundred alive it seems ... thought only a fraction of that is ... prophetic in nature '

They approached the edge of the village at the very edge of the Voss-ka mountainside.

' It appears the elder with the most ... prominent abilities is waiting for us ... the others are ... hiding ' Vas sent subtle glances to the Voss abodes , Noting the residents appears to be amoing themselves scarce to them ' They knew we were coming ... it seems the Voss visions are still as infallible as ever '

At the centre of the village proper was a central obelisk , No doubt used for rituals, Standing with Voss architecture lining its entire surface.

And from the distance they were standing , The group could see a group of three standing infront of the obelisk ... waiting .

" We're expected " Vas urged the group to stare forward , everyone slowing their approach as they caught sight of the three individuals destined to meet them.

Two Voss children stood at the centre of the settlement, Luggage held in their hands as they looked expectantly apon the approaching with small accepting smiles on their faces .

Standing between them , Old and decrepit, A single Voss mystic in her old age represented the children and their best interests .

Her red skin was worn and battered by age , Eyes , Usually alight with the unique Voss resonance that represented their eyes , We're now dull , Dying and seemingly dilated without focus .

The children beside her however , One boy and one girl , stood side by side , Looking at then with curiosity if not scepticism .

" Only you are permitted " The hag pointed squarely at vas , The old woman seemingly wanting the rest of the group to hang back .

" Wait here ... " Vas turned his gaze to his fellow jedi for a moment before moving forward despite the obvious wariness shai held .

" Master I... " Shai stopped a moment later, Choosing to trust in her master as the other stopped and chose to make distance between themselves and the Voss.

Finally standing before the group, Vas felt his hand twitch towards his saber as he felt the hag wasn't probing vas himself , But as instead encroaching apon Nox .

" You're him aren't you ... the one whom represents " The old lady spoke , her mind somewhere else as she looked through vas and to his inner self " Yes ... yes you are "

The old age ridden Voss mystic, Seemingly noticing the danger she and her deciles were in , approached before crumbling to her knees infront of vas , Hands clasped together as if praying to her lord and salvation.

" Please... I know why you come here ... we won't resist you ... I ... will go with you ... just please ... take them with you "The old woman motioned towards the boy and the girl ready to disembark from the setting.

" You know my secrets... don't you " Vas growled , Eyes turning sulphuric yellow as he stood over the old hag, Shadows obscuring his face .

" I ... yes ... and I am prepared to inform your group of your status ... just as my followers are prepared to inform them should i perish here before i can tell them should you deny my request " The veins in his neck visibly bulged in hidden rage , the veins in his forehead becoming pronounced as he sucked in a deep breath.

' She's prepared to out me to the whole galaxy if I deny her ... what a shrewd woman ' Vas felt around the village , Noticing a group of mystics near the group of jedi ready to make a break for the jedi and inform them of the truth ' I've been had '

Slowly turning his gaze back to the hag , Vas glared hatefully at the mystic .

" You gave then the information... knowing that they'll die for holding the knowledge they do ... what about these children " Vas accused , Glaring eyes peering at the two innocents looming at vas with both awe and fear .

" The Voss way is to go extinct either way , Just as was preached to you so many millennia ago... if everyone in this village is to die this day ... and I am to accompany you through your hunt for the spirit kind ... and the children are to become one with your empire " The old hag began , Her near robotic drone continuing on " These children have been foretold to have the chance to ensure the continuation of our species ... either way the Voss will die this day ... but through them ... we live on "

' I see... how very Voss like ... choosing to undergo great calamity in the short term as long as the benefits long term are acceptable ... ' And he finally noticed the Voss around seemed to resonate melancholy... Resigning themselves to their fate 'It changes nothing if I accept their terms ... '

He grudgingly admitted he had been ... outplayed by the witch , The knowledge held by the woman , Something she shouldn't have , Was something he hadn't counted on ... ' I'll be fixing my mistake '

Something seemed to click in place through the force as he made his decision, The hag closing her eyes with a small smile as she looked up at vas with an uncharacteristic display of emotion.

" Thank you ... your majesty " The hag gave her thanks , Already seeing his decision through the force as she slowly rose to her feet .

" I will accompany you to your ship now ... and when you come to collect the children ... the others will not resist their fate " The hag turned to the children, The force resonating between the three for a moment as Vas'lucis's eyes narrowed .

' She's taught them everything she knows ... if these children live ... the way of the mystic will endure ... as will the Voss race ... ' Vas nearly growled , Cursing his lack of sight for the moment, Pointedly ignoring the rather smug attitude the hag had as she left and made her way to the group of jedi currently leaving the village towards the speeders parked outside .

" You will wait here until I arrive " Vas all but growled , Incredibly tempted to simply repulse the village into dust ... But he would be outed immediately if he did so.

In deep thought , Vas felt his eyes narrow in rage ' If either of these children perish after leaving the planet , The hag will be in close enough proximity to the jedi she would be able to spill my secrets at a moments notice ... Curse you '

The hag sent a subtle smile over her shoulder as she stumbled towards the group of jedi .

'YOU WON'T LIVE FOREVER HAG ... INFACT ' Vas smiled slightly as the smile the hag had faded slightly ... a twinge of worry appearing on her face for a moment as she saw Vas smile towards her .

" What are we waiting for let us disembark " Vas approached merrily , Casting a vicious eye high smile out of the corner of his eyes .

... HOURS LATER ...

Two children , The boy named Shin-toi ... The female called mela-rei . Stood impassively as their new caretaker stood over them , Yellow eyes peering through them as his pitch black silhouette stood over them , Imposing ... staring .

All around their village burnt , The rest of the Voss offered no resistance, Simply accepting their deaths at the dark ones hand . Those whom had been unaware had been drugged much earlier in the day , The mystics having taken the choice away from those who didn't follow the mystic way .

The mystics had done what they had always done once again. Taken the choice away from the populous for what they perceived to be the right thing to do for their people. And as of now , Only 2 Voss remained alive , Aside from the hag already half way across the galaxy towards their next target .

' The entire Voss race destroyed by a hairbrained scheme concocted by a desperate Voss elder to ensure their survival 'Nox raised his open hands towards the children , Opening his hand expectantly towards them .

Seemingly aware of what they must do , The children slid their much smaller hands into Nox's own , Before they evaporated into the night amidst the burning village as another explosion ripped across the small town , Emergency forces moving in to help , But by the time they would arrive , No survivors would be found .

...

" It is done then " Sheh-tui spoke solemnly as she settled down into a bed in her quarters on the corellian corvette currently flying through hyperspace back towards the direction of tython .

She placed a simple hand knit worn brown blanket over the end of her bed , Gently petting it down with a look of melancholy plastering her features .

Behind her , She heard Shuffling footsteps halt within the doorframe of her quarters, Before the room shut behind the man she had purposefully angered.

" I could kill you right now you know ... and everybody would be none the wiser " Vas spoke hatefully , His words holding a weight to them as he blocked the doorway.

" My purpose has been fulfilled and our agreement brokered. My life is in your hands from here on out " The hag locally called she turned to face vas whom looked apon her while scheming his lips in thought .

" Do as you wish " the hag dropped into a fetal position, Looking up into the eyes of her potential killer.

" You're pathetic.. not even going to attempt to defend yourself ... does your life mean nothing to you " Vas sneered , Looking at the hav with a condescending gaze with eyes half lidded.

" My life is spent and my purpose complete ... My life indeed has no value henceforth " The responded, With Nox's hand Snarling out and latching onto her neck .

" So you feel no fear right now ... none at all " Vas growled , Constricting the witches air supply with closing fingers , Barely containing himself from simply closing his fist and ending her life.

" No ... " She responded .

And true to her words , Vas sensed nothing but a sense of content and satisfaction , A sneer coming to his lips again as he unwound his hand , Letting it drop to his side.

" You make me sick " Vas turned away and made to step out of the room " Make yourself useful ... you know what we're hunting .. search for them "

" As you wish " The crone whispered , Watching the door open and the proxy of the eternal emperor step out and into the corridors of the corvette , Composing himself and walking off towards the bridge of the vessel .

1 MONTH LATER

The eternal fleet floated around Iokaths impressive bulk , as a section of the dyson opened as millions of remote controlled droids flooded from within the section, Equipped with tractor beams as they guided a massive object from within the bulk of the dyson sphere.

A newly produced alternative version of centrepoint station floated from within the restricted section of the dyson sphere , interior engines allowing for it to manuveour through space and away a comfortable distance from iokath.

At the centre of the new design , A star floated unbound , But kept in place pylons that drew power from the star to power the rest of the station .

The station itself was designed as a flat ring surface , The centre of the ring where the star floated , a series of antennae lining the ring with several large hangers and depots making up its circumference along with massive energy stores , Generators , batteries , and highly optimised shield generators lined the central ring , Along with gyroscopes , Massive engines facing all directions as well as massive hyperspace drives and a special gate for instant travel .

Surrounding the central star was a recreation of the hyperspace beams production methods , With an array of large cylindrical cones pointing at the star , each one circled by small cylindrical comes that would then draw power from the energy produced by the star to begin the initial phase of creating the hyperspace beam.

The new station had its own artificial gravity field unlike the original centrepont station that relied on rotating constantly to produce its own gravity .

Rotating around the centre ring and the powering star , Another ring slowly rotated around the central ring , kept in place by gravity pylons and beams of energy connecting the rings together as the secondary ring rotated around the ring seemingly in random directions .

This ring contained the main control facilities of the new station , with specialised gates meant to allow for the instant teleportation between the two rings .

Much like the centre ring , This ring was heavily shielded , nothing could pass between through the shield , Nothing could land on the ring , Nothing could exit or enter , Such was the shields design .

The only way to step foot apon the control ring was to use one of the gates from the other rotating rings on the station, And to do that , You would have to fight through a legion of millions of skytrooper units built apon the central ring thanks to inbuilt skytrooper factories .

The secondary ring was 90 kilometres in circumference , Circling the centre ring that stood 70 km in circumference with the star directly at the centre of its mass .

The control ring held everything needed to control the ring , Also built into this ring were biomes designed to be habitats for flora and fauna , With the perpetually active shields present around the ring , It housed its own atmosphere. The biomes had exposed atmpheres capable of sealing the atmosphere with split second shielding meant to restrict the portions of the control ring .

With the artificial gravity and open atmosphere contained by the shield , One could freely transverse the outside perimeter of the ring without protective gear or fear of the vacuum of space .

And finally , The third ring , Controlled by the second ring , Floated independently of the rest of the station , Kept in place with gravity and its own engines . It , Like the rest of the station, was connected through the stations generated gravity controls .

This ring contained the main reason the station was even created , Massive energy pylons circled the circumference of the ring , which would aim back at the centre of the three rings at the central ring .

The ring itself was highly irradiated , Bursting with untold amount of nuclear , Electrical, Magnetic and other forms of power that would come together to produce the hyperspace tractor beam from the cones located around the star at the central ring .

Around the external circumference of the third ring were thousands of defence systems, From nuclear missile silos to energy beams amd automated turrets . , meant to target and destroy anything not meant to approach the doomsday device used to recreate entire systems .

Activating the third stage of this ring would create the hyperspace beam , Where it would be able to pull the designated target to its location or another predetermined location from over halfway across the galaxy .

Using this improved hyperspace ring would force the stations Circling rings to align and begin to rapidly rotate around eachother . Where the rings would circulate around eachother , Optimising power usage and ensuring the station remained stationary during the usage of the hyperspace beam .

In this stage , The energy circulating between the station would freely move from the third ring to the first ring , Irradiating amd pulverising anything not meant to be on the station .

The nuclear energy flowing through the station would irradiate or outright pulverise everything on the station of organic origin.

The only safe spot for this was the second shielded ring , where its shields would be boosted to the nth degree , Filtering all energy that touches the shields to a safe degree . This was the only part of the station capable of surviving the firing of the hyperspace beam , Where apon firing , The shields surrounding the second ring would become visible to the naked eye , Wavering before the eyes of people watching . The gates between the first and second ring were shut down during firing , to ensure no radiation could pass through.

In all , It was a safer , Optimised version of cetrepoint station designed by Scorpio to look like three rotating rings around eachother.

And within the control room stood a Scorpio proxy and Nox , The displays before them showing the power consumption , station orientation, Targeting system and other systems featured through the vessel .

Floating nearby the ring was a legion of fully automated warships completely bare of crew. As having an organic crew was a deathwish being near the third ring of the station.

" Systems at optimal performance .. milord ... I advise a test " Scorpio turned to Nox who looked at a map of the galaxy open before him .

" It would be unwise to start with moving zakuul ... if anything goes wrong our entire empire ceases to exist " Nox mused , Thinking deeply as he stared at the display " We need something that the galaxy isn't ever going to notice going missing "

" Moving korriban would be too high profile and the jedi would notice before long " Nox thought allowed. Walking infront of the stations map display with his hands on his chin " They would come looking eventually "

Nox's eyes widened , Smiling to himself slightly as he turned to face the map .

" I've got the perfect target , Scorpio ... it's time we reintroduced ziost to the people of our empire " Nox announced , Spreading his arms wide with glee on his face " Afterall it would be a waste if I rebuilt the citadel for no reason "

" Coordinates placed , where would you like ziost relocated to " Scorpio asked , Turning to nox with calculating eyes .

The entire populous of the spire watched the broadcast with bated breaths , Watching their emperor stand before them via holo .

" I welcome you ... generous citizens of our shining empire ... to our new world ... of Ziost " Nox spread his arms wide , As the holo shone to show a massive space station , And appearing In the system behind the station , And entire planet sped into place in the system .

On the opposite side of their now shared star , Ziost settled into place , Now rotating around the star on its set olyptical orbit .

Within moments later , The newly dubbed STARFALL STATION jumped out of system after placing ziost in its designated location, Heading back to iokath where it would be stored until its next use .

" now ... citizens of my glorious empire , Public access between ziost and zakuul will be established within the next twenty four hours , Several gates will be available for travel between ziost and zakuul from the spires transportation hall ... I look forward to seeing you enjoy our new home " Nox vanished off the holo as children excitedly nagged their parents to visit the new world given to them by their emperor .

Her fury interceptor dropped out of hyperspace over the canopy of zakuuls gravity well , Amidst several rushing ships heading towards the blip that was ziost in the far distance.

" System analysis ... what is that " Kanya asked the internal systems of her experimental armour she was once more garbed with.

" Identifying target . Target designation... Eternal empire imperial world ... designation... ziost " She heard through the speakers of her armour .

" I see ... how did it get here " The armour listened to her voice , Connecting to the imperial network for a second before giving a response .

" Security clearance level ... accepted ... Ziost was targeted by the newly designated space station known as Starfall station as a test run to use the stations hyperspace capabilities of moving exterior objects. After a successful test rum, Ziost has officially been opened for public access " Kanya fell back into her chair as the interceptor rotated and aligned itself with the spires orientation , Thoughts running through her mind as the thought over what was said .

" And what is starfall station " Kanya asked once more as she began the final approach to her designated hanger in the upper floors of the spires height.

" security clearance... denied ... " Kanya tilted her head slightly .

" I don't have clearance... who does " Kanya squinted , Puckering her lips .

" Security clearance... accepted ... His majesty obrunik kallig is primary benefactory of starfall station with designation Scorpio given auxiliary command of station functions " The armour announced after another few seconds of silence , The ship entering the hanger as she simply sat and pondered .

" Alright ... " Rising from her chair , Kanya walked through the corridor of the interceptor , Walking down the boarding ramp of the vessel into the hanger where a crew of droids rushed forward and began to attach hoses to the ship to begin refuelling.

" Lana confirmed , Her arms crossing under her bust as she heard several senators attempt to start a sort of attack on the star of coruscant to forcefully gain control of the vessel , All in the name of the republic of course , Stleast that's what they said .

" Is it really as powerful as they say " Padme whispered once more in genuine curiosity .

" And more ... there is only one ship in the eternal fleet capable of putting that ship down " Lana neglected to mention the ship was called the star of coruscant .

And sure enough , A hails over their communications system came from the vessel Obi-Wan knew they most likely had no chance of defeating if recent rumours to he believed.

The resolute formed up beside the negotiator , The two venators facing the vessel in the far distance .

" I'm Sensing a great power on that ship " Anakin all of a sudden announced. Stepping onto the bridge with a harsh glare pointed at at the monstrosity.

A building static sound echoed throughout the vessel , The hairs all over the bodies of everyone on the ship beginning to stand on end .

' What are they called again ... ah yes . Fusion accelerator cannon's... ive never seen such weapons ' He thought back to when they had first appeared before a CIS vessel and fired those cursed weapons .

' One shot and the hull of those behemoths cracked like an egg , just what have you gotten us into duchess ' Pre got up from the bed in his quarters , Walking towards the window of his room to see the space battle going on in the far distance.

' And then there was death ' He frowned as a localised beam of blue leapt from one of the accelerator cannon's facing the port side of the ship , Spearing towards the CIS forces . " Three hundred metres " Blocks voice echoed throughout the background as anakin chewed on his lips .

" Stop our advance AND CLOSE THE HANGERS " anakin suddenly yelled out , Turning from the viewport and facing the flight control officer .

" What ... anakin " Obi-Wan began but stopped apon seeing the distress in anakins face " Stop the ship , Do as he said "

The negotiator and its sister venator stopped their advance after the cis frigates .The hangers closed slowly before sealing shut as the vulture droids passed the two hundred metres mark.

" One hundred metres " Block whispered , Turning to face the engagement in the far distance .

A warning through the force caused anakin and Obi-Wan to wince slightly as a bright white light rippled from the star of coruscant .

Anakin and Obi-Wan quickly grabbed at the the nearest console as an omni directional dome of white energy expanded from vaylins vessel , Spreading outwards and slamming into the mass of vulture droids .

" ITS AN EMP " Anakin yelled out as the droids simply shut down , Dead in the water as the dome continued on and encapsulated the frigates .

Then too , The frigates shut down in place , Floating aimlessly through space as the lights throughout the vessel simply died .

" Our emp shielding isn't strong enough to survive a blast of that magnitude ... " Obi-Wan announced in alarm as the white dome approached them , Clearing the distance with no signs of stopping .

" MESSAGE AUXILERY GENERATOR CONTROL AS SOON AS WE SHUT DOWN I WANT THEM TO ACTIVATE OUR AUXILIARY POWER SUPPLY " Block yelled out , The crew relaying his orders just before the dome swallowed then whole .

" We've lost gravity " Obi-Wan announced as the dome swept over them , Calmer than before as they began to float , As the lights around them shut off and the consoles died .

Anakin sighed , Relieved he had the hangers closed before the emp struck , Otherwise a whole lot of clones would he absolutely dead right now with next to zero hope of survival .

Instead of worry , They chose to watch the behemoth , Now the only ship with power in the system as it continued on towards the now defunct fleet.

Two blue beams swept out of either side of the behemoths port and starboard , outright destroying the ships now that they had no defence what so ever .

The two ships simply vanished into debris , Now that their shields wre shut down , Leaving no survivors what so ever.

" Its even more powerful than I feared ... and I doubt this is all the ship has " Obi-Wan announced just as a red light appeared throughout the bridge , The auxiliary power generators starting up and returning basic power to the vessel .

The crew fell back to the ground , Anakin and Obi-Wan landing on their feet .

" That ship has multiple hangers , and several unfired turrets from what I can see " Anakin announced , now having a clearer view of the star of coruscant as it refused to halt when nearing the dead fleet .

The bow of the ship exceeded the size of the three munificent class ships it was nearing.

" Its absolutely massive ... what did they say , Over ten kilometres in length , three maybe more from starboard to Port " Anakin spoke allowed as they could see the unused turrets swivel and aim directly at the dead ships .

" I guess we're going to see what the others do " Obi-Wan walked forward and stood beside anakin .

Blue lasers leapt from the star of coruscants broadside turrets , Slamming into the unshielded ships , Shredding three out of the last six ships , one on the starboard and two on the port side , Whilst the final three were directly infront of the ship .

The ships were completely shredded by over thirty continuous streams of energy Slamming into the vessels, leaving nothing in its wake but destruction.

" They still haven't stopped , They're going to ram into the frigates ... " Anakin yelled in alarm , And just as he said that , The star of coruscant lurched forward unexpectedly.

Anakin was aghast , Watching the behemoth suddenly surge forward quicker than it had any right to move.

He and Obi-Wan felt their faces become taunt as the bow of the star of coruscant slammed into the port side of the command ship , Suffering no damage as it continued to just flattened the entirety of the command vessel against its front . The same happened to the other two vessels, with the speed it was going it turned hull to folded paper against its bow , flattening the vessels and their crew in mere seconds .

" I think that settles it " Anakin chuckled sombrely as the crescent , What used to be the command cis vessel exploded against the hull of the star of coruscant. Followed by the other two , Yet the star of corhscant broke through the cloud of fire and smoke with absolutely no damage sustained .

A chime forced the two jedi to tense , As vaylin once more appeared over them within the command bridge of the negotiator.

" You're still alive I see , you may depart the system at your leisure " Vaylin dismissed them , Making to end the hologram once more before Obi-Wan spoke up .

" If... " Vaylin turned her eyes back to Obi-Wan, Squinting harshly " We may , Our mission was to ensure taris and its senators are whole and healthy , If you would allow us the chance to check on them , We won't be in your hair for long "

" Senator robb is onboard , you may inquire about her current status at your behest , But I urge you not to linger for long , I do not appreciate a waste of time " Vaylin growled .

" thank you , Milady " Obi-Wan watched the woman sniff dismissively and turn away , The holo cutting off the next moment as anakin came up to his master side .

" Are you sure this is a good idea master " Anakin asked , He could practically taste the woman's irritation through the force from the negotiator.

" Well we have our mission , Plus I intend to see just how senya is connected to the mandalorian territories " Obi-Wan seemed pressed about something much to anakins confusion.

" And if she is connected to them in some way" Anakin asked as he and Obi-Wan began to make their way towards the elevator.

" I dont know " quite frankly he wasn't sure just what he'd do , But he'd have alot of investigating to do on his hands , That was for sure .

Docking into one of the hangers of the star of coruscant , Obi-Wan and anakin , As well as a couple of commando clones stepped into the hangers chilly atmosphere of the ship , Being met by senator robb and a pre vizla who glared harshly at the jedi .

" Master jedi " Robb smiled kindly at the jedi despite what she may feel towards their order , Walking towards them with a slow gait " I thank you for your haste in you defence of my home "

" How ever late it would have been " Pre growled slowly , Walking forward as he made his distate for the jedi known .

Around the hanger , The clones and jedi spied several droids of unknown make moving munitions and crates about , Larger units moving massive containers against a far wall .

' Mandalorians and unknown droids ... hm ' Obi-Wan toyed eith his beard absent-mindedly for a moment before turning away and walking to the senator and pre vizla .

" I apologise for our tardiness , However I am glad to know of the hasty defence garnered by senya and her forces " Obi-Wan spied pre for his reaction , Seeing thr tightening of the man's jaw for a moment before they continued to talk to the senator .

" Thank you . I was received to hear of their approach , And I am glad they kept their word " Robb smiled kindly as anakin came up beside Obi-Wan after looming around the hanger with a critical eye.

" Is she not here to meet us " Anakin crossed his arms , Exchanging a harsh glare with vizla who growled slightly .

" Ah of course Forgive my tardiness... she is most likely waiting for us in the conference room" Vizla growled out, Holding himself back from treating the jedi too harshly , Even though his tone spoke of just how annoyed he was to be there .

" Then I suppose she's waiting , perhaps we should make our way there " Robb nodded in agreement as she turned and urged her hand towards the hanger entrance , A large door leading into the rest of the ship " After you master jedi "

Sitting in an ornate room with a large circular table at its centre , Vaylin sat at the exact opposite side of the doorway , face set in a neutral gaze as she regarded the small feline sat on the table infront of her .

An asharl, a feline from the unknown regions , Most notably illum , recently procured by her lover , No older than a couple weeks old , Vaylin floated small scraps of meat towards it , Holding it over the feline as it rose and tried reaching up towards the floating meat .

" Try harder " Vaylin spoke calmly as the feline sat back onto its hind legs. Reaching both pays up and swiping towards the meat " That's better ... "

Vaylin caught movement out of the corner of her eye , A large aquarium sat embedded in the wall , an interesting addition to the conference room but it added intruige to the room , Not to mention the not so friendly fish currently floating within .

Sighing , Vaylin pondered as she felt Obi-Wan and anakin approach .

' I must remain calm ' yet even now she could feel her ire rising with each passing moment , Before anakin and Obi-Wan waltzed in , Earning a glare from the so called chosen one ' I'm going to kill him '

" Greeting master jedi , I'm glad we can finally meet face to face " Vaylin spoke without any bravado , the jedi could tell she didn't mean any of what she said .

" Lady senya , the pleasure is mine " Obi-Wan nearly shivered under the scathing glare the woman sent his way , The withering presence of the darkside clear as day as she gave his padawan an equal and no less agitated glare " Now what do you want "

' Justice for those you killed ' Anakin cringed internally but held his tongue , Not wanting to agitate the situation .

" We have come to ensure the safety of those on taris as is our orders from the high counsel , We ... would also like to extend an invitation to the jedi temple " Obi-Wan smiled kindly, Earning an odd side glance from anakin , He in turn gave a warning glance back to his padawan.

" As you can see taris is well , Unforntunately I will be unable to attend to the invitation, My duties keep me quite preoccupied you see " Vaylin chortled back with a roll of her eyes .

Seemingly agitated by something , Anakin spoke under his breath .

" does that include invasion and conquring innocent people " Anakin whispered , But was easily picked up by both persons present.

" What did you just say ... boy " Vaylin pressed " I'll have you know I have done no such things everything i have done was within legal bounds"

" And of the jedi you killed and clones you murdered " anakin spoke up despite the harsh warning glare Obi-Wan sent him .

" We are at war boy , there was no meeting between states to depict exactly what and wasn't allowed during this war , and I doubt there will be any willing to impose charges on me and mine , Considering whomever I side with will undoubtedly become quite the warpower , Thus all but guaranteeing me diplomatic immunity with whomever I align myself with , whether it be your republic , The separatists or my own faction ... " Vaylin mocked openly as she sneered at both anakin and Obi-Wan.

' Satine what have you done ' Obi-Wan cringed , having an inkling of just what kind of individual vaylin was.

" You're a criminal ... and should face criminal charges " Anakins heated tone caused vaylins neutral face to drop into a harsh glare .

" I will not be lectured by you child ... now my patience has run thin ... depart with your master ... and hope we don't find ourselves against eachother on the battlefield " Vaylin growled , Turning her gaze from anakin , Over obiwan and finally out of the viewport.

" Anakin ' Obi-Wan stated softly , But aanakin was on a roll , Squaring his shoudlers even as the mandalorians around slowly began to move in their direction .

" I should bring you in "

Turning to anakin once again , blistering yellow eyes alight with open fury and rage.

Wanting nothing more than to smite anakin in his place and took Obi-Wan through the view port window of the subjugation. She however knew her love needed them for something , However negligible that thing would be , And so she elected for a different course of action . Taking a deep breath before her emotions could take control of her actions , Something she seldom practices .

" GET ... " Vaylins brow twitched as she reached for her saber , Anakin doing the same whilst Obi-Wan raised his hands to placate the situation " Off my ship "

The sharp spike in darkside energy made anakins brow sweat profusely , As the hallway they were in began to buckle and shift as the woman across from them began to exert her will on the environment.

" Now there's no need for that. . Anakin calm down ... this isn't a fight we want " Obi-Wan warned anakin with a sharp glare out of the corner of his eyes .

" Smart jedi " Vaylin sneered , Watching anakin slowly uncoil .

YEAR 14:3 AFTER THE GREAT RESYNCRONISATION - 22 BBY

SCION SYSTEM ... ROYAL PALACE

" I feel nervous " Senator organa adjusted the neckline of his expensive shirt as they approached the royal palace that loomed in the distance of the capital city of scion , Named scion .

" Don't be organa, We are simply here to meet the King and Queen of scion " Lana attempted to sooth the man with nonchalance , Walking across the shining dark grey marble floors that made up the long walkway towards the palace gates .

Looming statues lined the sides of the walkway , With fountains , Parks and bushes sotting beside the walkway , Children laughing amongst eachother .

" This place is " Jedi master Plo koon , Representing the best interests of the council , walked alongside the two senators , Looking at the clouds in the sky as dark storm clouds slowly gathered .

" Beautiful is it not " Bail looked at the spires that reached into the skies in the distance, The spires of the capital city reaching into the skies rather than spreading out into the wilderness where it allowed for the natural world to take place outside the city borders .

" I was going to say powerful in the force " The Kel dor replied, Sensing the sheer abundance of energy that radiated around the world " Are you aware of what a force nexus is lady beniko "

The kel dor was obviously probing for information on behalf of the council , obviously attempting to guage just how dangerous and unpredictable this new order of force users was .

" Of course, Scion ... historically speaking , Was chosen to be populated for its great connection to the force , It's neutrality and balance ... " Lana expressed as they finally arrived before the palace gates , Where no less than eight knights of zakuul , Dressed in black and gold coloured armour standing infront of the gates .

Without saying anything , The gates opened in silence, Bidding the three entry as the Kel dor immediately locked onto the presence that expanded from the palace , Of which he hadn't been able to sense until after stepping onto the palace grounds.

" By the force " Plo koon stumbled over , Heaving as he was forced to lean on an ornate pillar that sat beside the path.

" Whats wrong " Bail asked , Approaching and guessing over the jedi's disposition.

" This presence " Plo rasped out as a great power of the force tinged with the darkside roared through the palace grounds , A cold running down his body on instinct, wanting nothing more than to turn tail and flee back to the council.

" You can sense him can't you " Lana walked up as if the presence wasn't bearing down apon her , Meanwhile having been in the presence of nox while he was expressing a measure of his power , Made walking through this like a regular day .

" Who ... who is this " Plo asked , Drawing in deep breaths as another wave of force energy nearly pushed him over .

" The king of scion .. luciel " Lana responded , Smiling condescendedly down at the jedi , Turning her head to regard the palace in intense thought.

" He is waiting for us jedi , Compose yourself " Lana turned and continued walking towards the looming entrance to the palace , Four great statues many time larger than the others standing infront of the place entry. Like looming sentrys to protect those within .

" Of course " The kel dor took in one last breath before forcing himself and bail along to follow the senator , Weathering the storm , Resigned to meeting whatever was producing such energies.

' I need to be careful '

Pushing open the massive , High reaching door that lead into the king of scions throne room , plo koon shivered as a metaphysical cold chill whispered from within the room .

" May I present " Lana walked into the chamber , Her voice loud and commandeering , Echoing throughout the chamber as she gestured at an ornate throne at the opposite side of the impressively sized chamber.

" King luciel of the scion system " The kel dor found himself rooted to the spot as bail looked across the throne room to the man sitting on the throne.

" Ah " A pleased chortle echoed throughout the chamber as luciel stood from the throne , Dismissing the subjects standing before the throne, As he slowly walked towards Lana herself.

" Senator beniko , I'm pleased to see you in good health " Plo koon had to physically withhold himself from drawing his lightsaber , The taint of the darkside reaching from the ruler of scion and into the force around him , Growing in intensity as he neared.

The air was oppressive , Suffocating , alive with static maliciousness, All pointed squarly at plo whom was attempting to Compose himself as he walked with the two senators to meet the so called king.

" And you must be senator bail organa I've heard nothing but good about you and your work " Luciel extended his hand towards the alderanian senator, The bearded man accepting the handshake , Cupping luciels hand with his own with a pleasant smile on his face .

" It is my pleasure to be in your presence your excellency " Bail bowed his head in deference to the king , Before luciel gave his attention to the jedi of the group .

" And you are " Luciel asked , extending his hand through the sleeves of his black robe towards plo koon .

" Plo koon , Jedi master " Plo koon spoke confidently but was feeling anything but .

" Ah I see , Lady beniko has told me much of your order " Luciel looked the kel dor up and down before giving a small noticeable nod " splendid "

" Come along then. We have much to discuss " Luciel turned away and began to march back across the throne room with long confident strides.

Also I would like to ask whether you would like ahsoka to be present during this story , I am selecting parts from legends and eu to appear in this story and as such ahsoka was never present during legends or eu continuity. If you would like to see her please make it known as well as other things .

Anakin will be becoming more important in the stories future in coming chapters
