Look, your girl was working on a few new things when she got harrassed (lol in the best way) by Kesh telling me if I didn't finish the story ... hahaha, that and your requests had me wanting to update it for you. I am so glad you love it, and I hope you enjoy this chapter. And who knows, if I get enough reviews, I may upload another chapter this weekend! Love you! Stay safe! And please remember to Vote!
As the party continued, Sam stood with his friends, who happily shared their opinions of his bride-to-be as they teased him
Sam ran his hand through his hair as Artie shook his head, looking over to Mercedes. "Man, I swear you have always been a lucky bastard, Sam. Will you look at that woman?! Even I didn't believe the rumors that she was hot…but damn, she's stunning."
Sam followed his gaze, looking over to Mercedes, who was laughing at something Stacey had said.
"We all know you are gonna enjoy every minute with her," Stevie added, his eyebrows waggling suggestively. "Not that you know what to do with a woman like that."
Sam elbowed Stevie. "What do you know about it!"
"I know that with an ass like that, he's right." Artie laughed.
"What's it like knowing your brother's getting hitched to the most beautiful woman in the room?" Mike asked, looking around the room. "Though, her friends are…you are gonna need to introduce me to some of them."
Stevie smirked. "I got dibs on that ebony goddess standing next to Mercedes. The one in the pink."
Sam's eyes roamed Mercedes as he sipped his drink, tuning out his friends.
"You think they are all virgins?" Stevie asked, stealing a glance over to the ladies.
"Can you think with anything other than whats in your pants? I swear you are acting like a high schooler with blue balls." Sam scolded.
"Speaking of blue balls…how are you gonna handle not being able to touch all of those luscious curves?" Biff asked, walking over to them.
"Biff didn't know you were here," Sam said, frowning.
Biff shrugged. "What can I say? I wanted to pay the happy couple my well wishes. You more than her, considering she's a teasing prude."
Sam felt his fist balled, stepping closer to Biff, "Watch how you speak about my bride."
"Come on, Evans, we all know you were forced into it. Look, stop by my place this weekend, and I will have some women just for you and your crew."
Mike eyed him. "Yeah, and what will it cost us? We all know you don't give something for nothing."
"I don't care what he is offering. I am not taking him up on it," Sam growled.
"Oh, come off it, Evans, we all know that you are a man who demands more. I heard about you and those twins. That was badass. You are gonna need someone to match your energy. I know a couple of women who are discreet and double-jointed. And all I would want from you is a trade."
Sam exhaled angrily. "Trade? Dude, I am not considering this nonsense, nor am I gonna trade you stock for sex."
"Stock? No. What I want is what I was promised a long time ago." Biff smirked.
Sam knew he wasn't going to like what he was about to say. "And what were you promised, Biff?"
A swarmy grin came over his face. "I was promised your bride." He smirked. "And I would have had her too. But then she somehow convinced her father not to give her to me."
Sam moved into his space. "Is that why you attacked her? Had her kick your ass?"
Biff stiffened, shaking his head. "You are just mad that I got a handful of her glorious ass. Hey, I am offering you a favor, let me take that stick out of her ass, and you get two bendable women at your disposal."
"Biff, if I were you, I would slowly back away; I have only seen Sam like this once… it's when Rick put his hands on Stef." Stevie warned.
Across the room, Mercedes glanced over to Sam and Biff, frowning as she noticed the look on Sam's face.
Quinn leaned in with a bright smile. "Sam seems like he is one of a kind. He's strong, funny, and—well, you know how gorgeous he is. You lucked out, girl."
Stefanie nodded enthusiastically. "I have never seen Sam like this. My brother likes you."
"Yeah, he actually gave you Nana's ring," Stacey added.
"Nana's ring?" Mercedes questioned, looking down at her finger.
Stefanie nodded. "Yes, which means that, at the very least, he is taking this seriously."
Santana chimed in with a smirk as she lifted Mercedes's hand to her face, inspecting the ring. "That's is what you call a ring! Gotta be at least two carats. He did good."
Quinn smiled warmly. "We've always known you deserved someone special. This may not be the marriage that you want, but you can make the most of it, Merce…"
"It's not like that, Sam and I. We have been in this for two years, and that's that."
"Please, that man ain't letting you and all your fitness go; once he gets the booty, you are his." Santana teased.
"Exactly." Quinn and Stefanie said together as everyone giggled.
"And can we talk about that kiss?" Jane squealed.
Mercedes blushed. "No! No, we can not!"
"Oh, she's blushing!" Jane teased.
Mercedes chewed her bottom lip as she looked back down to the ring. Sam giving it to her really did mean a lot, and then that kiss. She would never admit it to him, but she enjoyed feeling his lips on her. The man could kiss.
Looking over at Sam, she could feel that whatever Sam and Biff were talking bout was not going over well. She excused herself and headed over to the men, catching Biff as he told Sam to let him break Mercedes in.
"Excuse me?"
All eyes moved to Mercedes as Biff turned and smirked. "Hey baby, I was just telling Sammy here how much you wanted me to be your first and how he should let that happen."
Sam moved infront of Mercedes as if he needed to protect her, even though he knew he didn't need to. "If you speak to my wife again, I am going to rip your voice box out of your throat," Sam growled.
"Mercedes, you really should put your dog on a leash. Don't worry; once you start work, we can spend time together. I mean, you will be working directly under me." Biff said, winking at her. "I'll make sure that I give your wife plenty of opportunities to get a rise out of me…I mean raise."
Mercedes placed her hand on Sam's back, feeling some of his tension leave. "You know what, I don't think he got the memo, Sam."
Sam looked at her, and after a moment, he realized that Biff assumed Mercedes was coming in as a lower-level worker. "I don't think he did either."
"Baby," Mercedes purred towards Sam. "Remember at brunch when I said if we had an idea that I would support you, would you support me in that same way?"
Sam pulled Mercedes closer to him and took advantage of this moment, nipping her lips. "I'll always support you, Tereso."
Mercedes licked her lips and turned to Biff. "As of this moment, you are no longer an employee of Jones Media."
Biff's eyes grew dark. "What? I don't know why you think you can fire me, but baby girl, you tried that whole cry-to-daddy thing before. It didn't work, and if you think Sammy here can have his father control my actions 'cause we are combining companies, well, he can't."
"Can't? Oh, Biff, no. Sweetie, that word is not in my vocabulary when I run the company."
"What are you smoking? Last I checked, the CFOs worked under the COO. You aren't running shit here, Mercedes; now be nice to me, and I will make your job easy. Or run to Daddy and get embarrassed."
She said, smiling playfully, letting him talk himself into a deep hole. "Sorry to break it to you, Biff, but my father has nothing to do with this. As of this morning, you know when Sam and I got engaged. We both signed our contracts. Not only is Sam CEO of Evans Corp, but I am the new CEO of Jones Media that's CEO which is over COO, as you pointed out, as such, considering you have sexually harassed and threatened me, not only in front of my soon-to-be husband but all these guests who were curious about our conversation, I have grounds to fire you."
Biff's eyes widened. "No! That's not…No! Your father will hear about this."
"Her father already has," Julian said behind Biff. "And the fact you thought you would still have a job after the things you dared to say about my daughter."
"I was supposed to be over her. You didn't tell me you made her CEO," Biff said through gritted teeth.
"And? I don't answer to you, and neither does my daughter."
"Don't bother gathering your things, Biff; your things will be sent to your home. As of this moment, your corporate card, office, and key are disabled. Don't worry anything of ours at your place will be picked up when your things are dropped off." Mercedes smirked. "Now, get out of our party."
Biff was about to speak, but Sam stepped up. "You heard my wife. Leave. Or I will gladly make you."
Biff glared at him before two security guards grabbed his arm, carrying him to the door.
Mercedes pulled her phone from her purse, but Julian stopped her. "Don't."
"Dad, if I don't call, Biff could-"
Julian shook his head. "I know. This is your party. I will make sure Biff is removed from everything."
Mercedes nodded with a sigh. "Okay."
"I should have listened to you." He said before turning and leaving.
Mercedes looked after him, as Sam took her hand. "You okay?"
"Uh yeah, it's just that my dad has never apologized before." She said softly.
"That was him apologizing?" Sam questioned.
Mercedes nodded. "Yeah, it was."
Sam looked at her as she looked after her father, as another piece of Mercedes Jones' ever-growing puzzle was added. "Dance with me."
Her face darted to his. "What?"
Sam took her hand in his and pulled her to the dance floor. "We need to sell this whole getting married thing. The argument with Biff helped; that kiss we shared where you literally melted did, too."
"I did not!"
Sam smirked. "You did. But I will let you pretend you didn't." Pulling her closer to him, he pulled her arms to his shoulders. "Our mothers, or rather my mom and Rebecca, are going all out for this wedding."
Mercedes rolled her eyes as they began to dance. "You can call her my mom; I was lucky enough to have two."
"Well with the wedding covered we should talk about the honeymoon…and where we are gonna live after."
Mercedes laughed. "Let's don't and say we did. And then let's keep our living arrangements the way they are."
Sam spun her around and pulled her closer to him. "Real marriage remember? If I have to keep it in my pants, you have to live with me."
"It's a good thing I don't expect you to keep it in your pants. I am under no illusion that you can be faithful, especially knowing your past."
Sam smirked. "You are so transparent."
"And what does that mean?" She scoffed.
Before Sam could answer, someone clinked their glass and yelled out kiss, and once again, everyone joined in.
"I am gonna kill your brother." She growled.
Sam chuckled, pulling Mercedes closer to him. "I don't know, he seems to be onto something," Sam said, kissing her without giving her a chance to pull away. His hand cupped her cheek as Sam deepened the kiss, and he received a few catcalls.
As he pulled away, nipping her bottom lip, Mercedes stared at him, blinking a few times as if she were coming out of a daze.
"I know," Sam smirked. "I am an amazing kisser."
Mercedes opened her mouth to speak but Sam just kissed her again. "Yeah, Cocky asshole, I know, but you like me. And I like you too."
"Go take a cold shower." She hissed, pulling away from him with a practiced smile and walking off the dance floor.
