Chapter 4: Winged Menace
It had been a long time since Gil Parker assumed his new identity called "Spider-Guppy". The great superhero with spider powers and abilities who used his talents to fight crime under a code of responsibility. The boy learned more every day about the fight of good against evil. It had been a few months for his name to be popular by all possible means. Everyone was talking about the Spider-Guppy. Most loved him for his kindness and sense of justice in dealing with criminals that the police couldn't stop in time. Others hated Spider-Guppy because they didn't trust him (Obviously, the opinion of the Bubble Bugle didn't help that much for Grumpfish Jameson). However, Spider-Guppy would not fight mere criminals alone. Let's see how he faces his first big challenge.
It would all start on a quiet night in the Oscorp Industries labs, where many talented people were hard at work on their projects. We will look at the leader of the company, Norman Osborn. For he was supervising his young ward, Nonny Octavious. The boy who showed talent to be a science prodigy was on a big project. And Norman wanted everything to go perfectly.
"How's your project going, Nonny?" Norman asked curiously.
"It's almost finished, Mr. Osborn. I can assure you it's ready for tomorrow's science fair exhibit. I have to warn that the project is in its beta phase. So I will only be able to make a simple presentation before we present the project to the CEOs of Oscorp and the members of the Science Commission" Nonny explained the situation.
"Don't worry. That it's ready for tomorrow is enough. You will be the guy who represents Oscorp at that fair. Show everyone and the competition that Oscorp has the smartest minds in the engineering field" The business man put his hand on Nonny`s shoulder "I'm proud of you. You are like another son to me"
"I...I...I appreciate your comment, Mr. Osborn...You are like a father to me...Well, my real father...he doesn't care about me" Nonny said nervously.
"Well, tomorrow you will show everyone how incredible you are. I'm counting on you, Nonny" Norman smiled at him. They were both interrupted by an angry shout.
"MR. OSBORN!" He was a lobster man, a little old with brown hair and a little white. He had a lab coat too.
"Mr. Adrian Toomes….What can I do for you?" Normal asked quietly.
"It's not possible! I've worked so long for an opportunity like this and you decided to pick a kid to represent Oscorp? This is inexcusable! I've worked my whole life at Oscorp and that's how you pay me!" The man shouted and bothered. Nonny decided to hide behind Norman scaredly.
"With all due respect, Mr. Toomes, Nonny's project has more potential than yours. Your flight technology is impressive but not enough to impress executives and the science community" Mr. Osborn explained quietly.
"It's not fair Norman! That brat...!" The lobster old man pointed at Nonny until his boss stopped him.
"That's enough, Mr. Toomes! I will not tolerate disrespect towards myself or my pupil. In addition, your work has caused many expenses to the company. Mr. Adrian Toomes, you're fired!" Norman ordered seriously.
"Sir, You can't do that to me! I gave my whole life to serve you, boss! I gave it all for Oscorp!" He said shockedly.
"I'm sorry to hear that, but you know? We need people who innovate and not people like you. Gather your things and you can go... Of course, everything except... your project" The red-haired guppy man smirked a little.
"No way! That project is mine by right! You can't take it off me!" Adrian shouted bothered.
"Silence, old vulture! Your project was funded by Oscorp and is branded by my company. It is mine by right. It's in the contract. Next time, read the fine print. Now go before I call security" The boss of Oscorp said evilly. He just growled.
"This won't be the last time you see me, Norman Osborn!" Adrian screamed before leaving. Nonny tried to talk.
"S…Sir….I don't think you should have been so severe with Mr. Adrian Toomes" Nonny said shyly.
"You calm down, boy. You should not stress over little things. Tomorrow is your big day. You just concentrate on doing a good job and everything will be fine. Leave business to the expert" Norman reassured him in a fatherly tone. It seems that the young Octavius saw a trustworthy figure in the businessman. However, something was not right. Mr. Toomes decided to take the project personally from him and not give it to Oscorp as agreed. It seems that Norman did not know that firing that man was a serious mistake.
It was a beautiful Saturday morning. I mean, there were no high school classes. It would be a quiet day for Gil, if only he didn't have other responsibilities. It turns out that there was a Great Science Exposition that day. Where several companies met at a fair to show their technological advances to the public. New Bubble York High School students had an educational tour of that fair. In addition, Gil arrived to fulfill his work as a photographer for the Bubble Bugle. The boy had a chance of getting the job if he just showed a great performance. So Gil Parker arrived to take exclusive photos. While he was working he ran into his best friend.
"Sup, dude! So what you told me is true. Do you work for the Bubble Bugle?" Goby greeted him with a smile.
"Well kinda. I am like a photographer in the process. I still have to earn the job and convince Grumpfish Jameson" Gil touched his own neck.
"Ahh yes. Dad knows him. And he is very grumpy and hard to impress. Maybe if you get more photos of Spider-Guppy you'll have a chance. Your photos of him are spectacular!" Goby commented excitedly.
"Hi guys!" It was a female voice. It was Molly Jane Watson standing next to her boyfriend Dash.
"Hi, Molly! Hi, Dash" Goby greeted them politely.
"H…Hi, Molly….Oh and Dash" Gil said nervously.
"Dash, be nice to them" Molly ordered him.
"Ugh hi, guys" He rolled his eyes.
"What are you guys doing on this tour? It was not obligatory" Gil asked curiously.
"I came because dad ordered me. Also, Norman Osborn's son had to be here" Goby crossed his arms.
"Also, we're here to see Nonny's project. We'll finally see what she's been working on. Oona is impatient, you know?" Molly said with a big smile.
"Because she likes him" Goby said, giggling.
"I just came for the extra points. I need to pass Science. Otherwise I wouldn't be in this place of science freaks" The blonde boy said rolling his eyes. Molly nudged him discreetly "Hey!"
"Manners!" Molly scolded him.
"RIGHT! Nonny`s presentation is today! I had forgotten! We have to go there. Goby and I promised him that we would be in the front row!" Gil said surprisedly.
"Relax, man! We will have access to the first row thanks to dad" Goby said confidently. The group of young people were able to enter the Oscorp exhibition in the first row. They noticed that the rest of their friends were there. Deema, Oona and Zooli were in the front row to get a better view of their friend Nonny's exhibition.
"Hi there!" Deema Stacey greeted all of them.
"Hi!" Oona and Zooli greeted the newcomers.
"Are you guys excited about Nonny's exhibit too?" Goby asked curiously.
"Obviously! We wouldn't miss this for anything. Besides, Oona wanted to be in the front row. Isn't that right, friend?" Deema winked at her.
"Oh y…yeah….Nonny is our great friend and we must be in the front row hehehe" Oona said nervously and with a light blush in her face.
"It's about to start!" Zooli advised them. At that moment, Norman appeared on stage to welcome the audience. They were all silent. Gil took advantage of the right moment to take pictures for the Bubble Bugle. We can say that Goby did not feel very comfortable being there.
"Greetings, members of the Science Committee, members of the press, and the public. Everyone knows me as the president and founder of Oscorp Industries. However, I am also running a special program for gifted youth. Young people who have above average intelligence or cognitive abilities and Oscorp is in charge of developing their potential to be great scientists in future inventors. On this beautiful day I would like to introduce my star student. A very intelligent boy for his age. A boy who has worked hard to be here and show the world his greatest project. A boy whom I can be proud of and call "my metaphorical son"... With you, Nonny Octavius!" Norman introduced his best pupil. Nonny entered shyly while the public applauded him
"Yohoo! Nice, bro!" Gil said excitedly.
"Yay!" Molly, Deema and Zooli added with big smiles.
"Whatever…." Dash rolled his eyes.
"N..Nonny.." Oona said nervously.
"(sigh) Nice, bro…." Goby said sadly. The boy was happy for his friend. But he was also sad because Nonny received more attention from his father. He felt that his father didn't pay attention to him, his own son.
"They are all yours, Nonny. Show them what you are capable of before the world" Norman patted his pupil`s back. Nonny took the microphone slowly. He took a deep breath and started with his speech.
"Greetings to all. I am Nonny Octavius, an student of Oscorp's special program for gifted youth. I would like to present to you my biggest project so far. All this was achieved thanks to the financial support of Oscorp and its collaborators. My project seeks to facilitate tasks in the industrial sector for better performance in the most complicated tasks. The project is in its beta state, but I will be able to show the public the progress" Nonny explained before he pulled out a remote and pressed a button. The curtains that covered the display case were removed and he showed a huge capsule with a very valuable project inside. There were four tentacle-like mechanical arms with four-clawed pincers on each arm. The arms moved slowly of their own volition, but the glass wouldn't let them out.
"Wow!" Everybody was amazed.
Gil started taking pictures. However, when Nonny wanted to explain her project in detail, something bad happened. The Parker boy felt something strange. Goose bumps rose on his skin and he felt vibrations in his head. That only means one thing: Spider-Sense was activated. That means there is a danger nearby. Gil lowered his camera and was on alert because he knew something bad was going to happen. And when nobody expected it, there was an explosion on the roof
BOOM!
There was a slight explosion on the ceiling, causing everyone to panic and start running. The explosion caused a hole, where a mysterious silhouette flew down. The mysterious subject had a black and red mechanical suit that had claws on the toes like those of a bird of prey. The most impressive thing is that he had mechanical wings like a bird and his feathers were made of metal. The guy wore a mask with flight goggles and a metal beak that made him look like a robot bird. He started flying all over the science fair until he decided to fly in front of the Oscorp exhibit, with Norman and Nonny in front.
"NORMAN! SO I'M OUT OF OSCORP, HUH?!"·The mysterious subject fired his metallic feathers with the intention of hurting Norman and Nonny at the same time.
"Look out!" Norman took Nonny and he made them both fall together to avoid the subject's feathers, since they were in the form of daggers. The daggers destroyed the robotic arms with ease.
"HAHAHA! That project was a fraud! It wasn't so good after all, huh?" The man laughed.
"It was a beta model! It wasn't finished!" Nonny said bothered. Gil's group of friends began to panic with the presence of the supervillain.
"RUN!" Dash ran quickly.
"We can't leave Nonny alone with that guy! We must help him!" Oona said worriedly.
"My dad and my friend are in danger. Let's go!" Goby said determinedly.
"Gilly, we should go to...Hey! Where is Gil?!" Molly started to panic. She lost her best friend. What she did not know is that Gil took advantage of the fact that people began to run in fear so that he could sneak through the crowd and go to a lonely place so that he could become the masked hero to face the dangerous criminal.
"Adrian Toomes! What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Mr. Osborn said worriedly.
"You ruined my life, Mr. Osborn! Now it's my turn to destroy you and everything you care about! Starting with your young pupil!" The mysterious flying criminal readied his feather daggers to shoot Nonny, who was terrified.
"Nooo!" Oona screamed scaredly.
"Hey, bird! This is supposed to be a science convention, not a cheap cosplay convention!"
"Huh?!" The flying guy was confused by that joke until he saw something. A masked subject in a red and blue suit swung with a spider web and hit him in the face with his tail, sending him flying. The hero landed with a heroic pose.
"SPIDER-GUPPY!" Everyone who was watching shouted with happiness to see the hero arriving on time.
"Spider-Guppy! I'm glad to finally meet you in person" The villain said with an evil smile.
"Very good, birdie! You better give up or I'll have to stop you now. Could we save the time and give you up?" Spider-Guppy said with a funny tone.
"Listen, Spider! I don't want to have problems with you. My problem is with Osborn! So get out of the way and no one will get hurt...well, just Norman" The winged criminal proposed.
"Let me think about it...Hmmmm...No! I won't let you hurt Mr. Osborn...Although he may deserve it, but I won't put innocent people at risk" The masked hero said bravely.
"As you wish, hero! You will feel the fury of the Vulture!" He decided to fly towards our favorite guppy and hit him hard, sending Gil flying into a wall. Luckily, he managed to stick to the wall and come back for a counterattack. But the villain, now under the new name Vulture, hit him with his robot wing.
"AGH!" Spider-Guppy fell some meters away from him "Ugh! I see this guy is tougher than the criminals I've faced before" He said it to himself.
"Take this, wall-crawler!" Vulture began to shoot the hero with his feather-daggers to finish him off. Thanks to his super-agility, he managed to dodge the daggers, but he noticed that some metallic feathers exploded. So one of the explosions sent him through the skies and the Vulture took the opportunity to fly towards him and hit him in the air. Gil was smart and decided to cover his face with one of his cobwebs "AGH! I can't see!"
"Mr. Osborn, get out of here now! I'll take care of the bird!" Spider-Guppy shouted.
"Alright!" Norman decided to run away with Nonny. What he did not expect is that Vulture would rip the web from his face and decide to chase them. Vulture decided to catch someone with his claws. He was happy because he believes that he caught Norman!
"I finally have you in my clutches, Osborn!...What?!" Vulture was upset to see that he caught Goby Osborn and not Norman.
"Ugh Ugh leave me!" Goby shouted scaredly.
"Goby!" His friends shouted worriedly. They tried to recover his friend, but it was useless.
"I wanted to catch Mr. Osborn Senior, not Osborn Junior! Well, plans change! Listen to me Norman! If your son's life is worth that much, meet me at the Osborn Tower as soon as possible! If you don't arrive on time, say goodbye to your son!" Vulture said with a evl tone.
"NO! GOBY!" Norman said scaredly.
"Oh no…." Spider-Guppy said it to himself. His best friend was captured by the winged criminal "Not if I can stop you!" Gil decided to run towards him before Vulture damaged him with explosives and metal feathers "AAGHH!"
"You know what's wrong with heroes: You guys have to make clichè decisions! Either you stop me...Or save the civilians!" Vulture decided to shoot his explosive feathers towards the ceiling and some debris was going to fall on top of Goby's friends who were Molly, Deema, Oona, Zooli and Dash.
"Ahhhhhh!" They shouted scaredly because they had no time to save themselves. So Spider-Guppy decided to save them. He fired web lassoes at them to catch them and pull them towards him to get them out of harm's way. The bad thing is that when he managed to save them, the Vulture had escaped with Goby. It was obviously to extort money from Norman.
"That flying maniac has Goby!" Deema shouted worriedly.
"Don't worry, I...agh!...I'll save your friend..." Spider-Guppy said it with a tired tone. He decided to leave the scene traveling with his cobwebs in his swings.
"That Spider-Guppy is quite the hero! Do not believe it?" Zooli commented.
"(sigh) Yeah….very brave" Molly Jane said with a loving tone. It seems that she saw something in this Spider-Guppy. Without wasting time, they decided to go quickly to see the status of their friend Nonny. Luckily, he was fine. Norman saw that the situation got out of control. His own son was in danger from a maniacal ex-employee. He decided to make a call and ordered to be taken to the Osborn Tower in one of his helicopters.
While this was happening, Spider-Guppy decided to make a tactical retreat and decided to hide him in a remote building. He took off his mask and said that the blows of the new villain left him marked and the feather-daggers and explosives left him in a bad position.
"Wow! That Vulture is very dangerous. Lucky that I wasn't the target, because he would have left me worse off. But I have to be careful, he is very deadly in the air. Basically, I couldn't hurt him as long as he had his feet in the air. But there is something much more worrying: he is holding Goby hostage. I have to make sure Goby gets out of this unscathed. But how do I defeat that maniac? He is very strong and if I am not careful he can kill me. Hmmmm...I know! I have a plan!" Gil began to devise a plan to stop the Vulture.
At the Oscorp Tower, Goby was tied up while the fearsome Vulture circled the tower, waiting for Norman. He decided to land in front of the dark-skinned boy.
"It seems that your father is taking his time. I hope he is not late, or else, you will pay" Vulture said, preparing his fearsome wings.
"Do you think dad will come for me? Please, he cares more about his silly Oscorp projects than he does about me" Goby said, rolling his eyes.
"That was depressing. You know, you're not the only one with a life affected by Norman. He took everything from me! Well, it's sad to know that we have things in common and to know that I will have to kill you" The winged villain admitted. What surprised him is that he heard the sound of a helicopter. It was Norman Osborn who arrived on the scene alongside some bodyguards with guns ready for him.
"DAD!" Goby was surprised to see him acting as a good father "You came for me!"
"Of course! You are my son and I will not let a maniac hurt you!" Norman said sincerely "Listen, Toomes! Let go of my son, he has nothing to do with our problem"
"Hmmmm Order your guards to drop their weapons" Vulture ordered. Norman ordered them silently. And they obeyed.
"All right, Toomes...Tell me what you want and I'll give it to you...Just leave him" Mr. Osborn said.
"Well…..Give me a transfer of a million dollars to my account and we have a deal" Vulture smirked.
"WHAT?! That is too much!" The red-haired man was shocked.
"A million dollars is more valuable than the life of your own son?" The winged villain readied his wings to harm Goby should Norman become hostile. There were a few seconds of silence until the head of Oscorp took out his electronic tablet to make the deposit. A few minutes passed and Vulture received a notification on his cell phone that he received the requested money.
"Good! One million dollars just like you asked...Now, do your part...Give me back my son!" Norman ordered. It was a silent and tense moment. No one knew what the Vulture's reaction would be. The villain gave him an evil smile.
"You know, Norman Osborn? You took away what I wanted the most... now it's your turn to pay. You said you wanted your son back, right? Well, you never told me if you wanted him alive...OR DEAD!" Vulture decided to grab Goby by the neck and threw him off the building so that he would suffer a terrible death by falling!
"NOOOOOO! GOBY!" Norman shouted scaredly.
"DAAAAADDDDD!" Goby screamed while he was falling to his death…..However, someone came swinging through town and caught Goby in the air. He was Spider-Guppy! He decided to leave his best friend on the ground, but safe and sound.
"Hey, the weather forecast said nothing about a rain of rich people's sons" He said with a funny tone.
"Spider-Guppy! You were on time as always! But my dad is with the Vulture now in the tower!" Goby said worriedly.
"Don't worry, boy! Leave it all up to your Friendly Neighbor, Spider-Guppy!" The masked hero decided to quickly go to where Norman and Vulture were, using his webs to get to the scene quickly, but he thought it would be better to go in stealth.
Can not be! You killed my son!" Norman was shocked.
"That's right, Norman! Suffer and cry if you want...because you will be the next!" Vulture said preparing his wings to attack, but someone shot some cobwebs to prevent the daggers from damaging Norman.
"Alright... I think it's time for bird hunting season!"
"Spider-Guppy!" Vulture and Mr. Osborn said at the same time.
"Norman…..Your son is safe and waiting for you on the first floor. Go for him. I'll take care of this huge robot stork!" Spider-Guppy said seriously. Norman just nodded and he left them quickly.
"Spider Guppy! I see that you are a nuisance to me. Listen to me, I don't want to hurt you…" The winged criminal started with his speech until he got interrupted.
"Well….These scratches and bruises tell me otherwise" Spider-Guppy remembered his wounds.
"Listen to me...Norman is not what he seems. He really is someone sinister. Nobody can see it but I know the truth. They, the rich people, don't care about us. They just want to use us to make them rich and when we are no longer of use, they throw us away like garbage! Just as it happened to me. But you know? You and I are extraordinary beings... together we can end these injustices..." The Vulture offered him.
"Hmmmm let me think about it….Nope! You are simply insane and you put the lives of innocents at risk! You are a danger and you must be stopped" Spider-Guppy prepared himself to fight.
"I see….So….Is this how things will be? For me, fine! I'll take care of you, and Norman will be next!" The winged villain decided to take flight to start the fight. He began to circle like a bird of prey ready to attack.
"Very good...I don't like this!" Gil decided to fight against him.
And so the rematch begins! Spider-Guppy vs Vulture! The winged villain had the height advantage. So he attacked with his feathers while the arachnid hero dodged the daggers. Vulture also tried to harm him with his claws that he had on his feet, claws similar to those of a bird of prey. The masked hero decided to shoot cobwebs at him with his web shooter but Vulture managed to dodge it.
"In this position I am vulnerable...I need to get him out of his comfort zone" Spider-Guppy decided to shoot a web to start swinging around the city to escape the flying villain.
"Are you leaving so soon? You will not escape from me, spider!"
Vulture decided to chase him throughout the city. It was a dangerous chase. The arachnid hero swung through the city while he was stalked by the Vulture, who attacked him with his feathers and claws. It seems that Gil wanted to take him to a specific place. But for that, he had to fight him for a while. Unfortunately, the air was Vulture's area of advantage, so the villain managed to pummel him in the air. Well, he had better air control than Spider-Guppy.
"When I finish you, I will finish Osborn personally! And no one can stop me!" Vulture said evilly.
"Has someone told you that you can't stop talking?" Spider-Guppy covered his eyes with his spider web.
"AGH! I can't see!" Vulture began to fly uncontrollably. Gil decided to jump onto his back and fired two spider lassoes at him, one on each wing to start controlling his flight!
"Come on, little bird!" Spider-Guppy started to play with him, leading Vulture around the city. He couldn't react because he couldn't see.
"I can't see you but I can hear you!" Vulture decided to perform maneuvers and spins in the air to get Spider-Guppy off him, but he didn't expect that he was using his power to stick to surfaces.
"Hey, little bird! It looks like we have a slight turbulence" Spider-Guppy mocked his rival. Both kept fighting for him to leave the Vulture's back. What he didn't expect is that Spider-Guppy would find his weakness. He noticed that in his mech suit there was a device on his back and he decided to use his super strength to rip it off "Hey, is this important?" The masked hero showed him the device. He was scared now.
"Idiot! We are going to….AHHHHHHH!" The Vulture began to fall because that device was the source of energy to be able to fly. And now, as he ripped the device from her, they were both going down.
"Perfect! And now... the final touch!" Gil decided to throw himself down and began to create a huge spider web to capture his rival in the air, which was successful. Vulture fell straight into the net as if he were a giant fly in a giant spider web. Vulture's suit ran out of power, so he couldn't move anymore. Spider-Guppy tied him up with his webs "And so a giant fly is caught!" He joked a little before the police arrived.
Many people decided to go see the fearsome captured Vulture. The police managed to capture him without problems, because his suit was unusable. Obviously, the suit would be confiscated. Adrian Toomes had been arrested for the crimes committed as Vulture. In that group of people were Norman, Nonny and Goby. In fact, they were talking to the police. Spider-Guppy decided to leave to assume his civilian identity again and quickly appear on the scene.
"...Yeah, I want to put all possible charges on him so he doesn't get out of prison!" Norman said seriously. They were watching as the locust man was being arrested, but there was something that no one expected.
"Hey….Before you guys take me, I want to talk to that boy...please..." Adrian said quietly. The police officers thought it and they decided to give him what he wanted. The policemen saw that he wanted to say something to Nonny Octavius.
"Please….be brief!" The agent ordered.
"Nonny…..I want to tell you something important. Listen, you're a very smart and talented boy and I'm sorry for any trouble I caused you. And I'm sorry for destroying your project. But I want to tell you something. If you're really smart, watch out for Norman Osborn. Maybe at first he loves you like a son...but it's only because you're useful to him. When you stop being useful to Norman, he will discard you like garbage. And when that happens, you will remember my words. Please believe me before it's too late for you..." Mr. Toomes said seriously. Nonny was quiet to hear those words about his master.
"Alright...Your time is up, Vulture!" The agents took him away to finally arrest him.
"Don't forget my words, boy! Someday, you will see the true face of Norman Osborn!" He shouted before he was taken to the patrol. Nonny thought about the Vulture's words. Wasn't Norman telling him something important? Adrian Toomes was dumped by Norman. And if he ended up just like him? Norman noticed that his student was tense, but he put his hand on his shoulder to calm him down.
"Do not worry kid. That old buzzard doesn't know what he's talking about. Do not think that way. For me you are like a son... You are a brother for Goby... You are family" Norman calmed him a little.
"T…Thanks, Mr. Osborn" Nonny said nervously. Goby approached them.
"Don't worry about that guy. He is a maniac! You are different from him. Also, I will always be there for you!" Goby high-fived him. He decided to talk with his father "D…Dad….Thanks for everything you did for me….I thought you didn't care about me...until I saw that you took the risk for me. I thought you only loved business" Goby said with a tiny smile.
"(sigh) Don't talk nonsense, son. You are the most important thing for me. Perhaps I have been very busy these days ... But I promise to be more attentive to you. It's what your mother would have wanted" Norman comforted his son. Maybe he didn't show his feelings in public, but today was an exception. At that moment, someone arrived agitated
"Ugh…Ugh….I…I finally came! Goby, Nonny, Mr. Osborn! Everyone is fine?" Gil was very tired. He was faking to be more believable and avoid suspicion.
"Man, today was a crazy day! That Vulture guy caught me and tried to kill us! But Spider-Guppy arrived in time and stopped him! It was incredible... " Goby explained everything.
"And scary!" Nonny added.
"Wow, that sounds exciting. I'm a little tired...I was...working...And well when Vulture showed up I had to leave quickly because of the danger and the chaos and all that...Luckily...I got just a few photos of Spider-Guppy vs. Vulture! Tomorrow's news will be excellent!" Gil tried to create a credible story about his absence. Fortunately, they believed him.
"Hey guys! It's late and Gil is far from home. What do you think if they stay in our home to spend the night? You can order pizza if you want" Norman offered.
"Really?" Goby asked with a big smile.
"Of course. We all need to forget about this bitter pill. Gil, I'll call your aunt to advise her" Mr. Osborn said.
"Thanks, sir!" Gil said with a big smile.
They decided to go to the tower where the Osborn family lived. It was a luxurious place and they had many comforts. The three boys decided to spend the night together on a boys' night out where they played video games, watched movies and ate a lot of pizza. What any teenager liked to do. Norman decided to enter the room to see how his son and his "metaphorical children" were doing.
"Hey, everything is okay? Do you want to order something else?" Norman asked kindly.
"Oh no thanks, dad! We are okay" Goby answered.
"I hope you have fun. I will go to bed. It's been a stressful day for me. Good night son. Good night, kids!" The red-haired adult guppy decided to leave them.
"Good night!" The three teenagers answered at the same time. They decided to talk after Goby's father left.
"Wow….today was a crazy day…" Goby admitted.
"It was…But I'm glad Spider-Guppy saved the day" Nonny added.
"Me too, friends. Me too" Gil smiled. None of them knew that it was the same Gil who had done all that "It seems that he really loves you, Goby. And you doubted his love for you. He is your dad after all"
"Yeah….he was able to do anything for me…." Goby smiled "Hey Nonny! So…your project was those robotic arms, huh? I'm sorry they were destroyed by dad's crazy ex-employee.
"Indeed…..Don`t worry….The arms were in their beta state. Those arms weren't perfect and they weren't ready. But do you know? I can rebuild and improve them. I just need more time and you can see my project in its best state" Nonny explained quietly his biggest proyect. What no one knew is that this project would be the foreshadowing of something much bigger and more dangerous.
"It's a shame we have to wait longer. Oona was excited to see you, man!" Goby smirked.
"(gulp) R…Really?" Nonny was surprised to hear it. Both of them nodded and he blushed.
"Hehehe….I'm glad to be together again... The three of us... We haven't done anything together for a long time. I'm glad to have friends like you two. You are the best" Gil shared his feelings to them.
"Yeah, bro. We are like brothers….And nothing will change it, right?" Goby smiled at them.
"Nothing" Nonny added. He finally smiled.
The three decided to finally rest that night. It was a very tense day for them and they just wanted to rest. It was beautiful to finally see the three best friends together. However, none of them knew that each of them has a destiny waiting for them. While Gil was in his role as Spider-Guppy, things would not be so good for the fate of his two best friends. Vulture was just the beginning of something bigger. The threats that Spider-Guppy would face would be larger and more dangerous. Also, will Gil be able to maintain his balance between civilian life and his superhero life?
We finally come to the end of another exciting chapter. This time where the action was the main focus. From here we will see more iconic Spider-Guppy villains. PrimroseRaspberry: Nice to see you again! Well….I'll be honest, it was really hard to do all of Gil's training scenes before he became Spider-Guppy. And you're right, it's not very easy to do. Oh and about the villain, I'm sorry if I let you down lol. But you know? Soon we will see the greatest villains of Spiderman: Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus. Well, as we already know, Norman and Nonny are present with certain clues. So they will soon appear as supervillains. I still hope you liked the chapter of Spider-Guppy vs. Vulture.

In a mysterious room, there were many activated computers. In the center of the room there was a mysterious subject. He was an adult guppy with his body completely covered in a black trench coat and black clothing. His eyes were covered with dark glasses and he had on a black formal hat. His face was covered in darkness. Subject had on his computers a lot of important data about his target: Spider-Guppy. He had a lot of news about capturing criminals and now, with his recent victory over the Vulture
"That Spider-Guppy is showing a lot of potential. He's been bringing crime down... And that's not helping me... Looks like crime needs to level up. Gangsters and common criminals are becoming obsolete compared to Spider-Guppy. It seems that Vulture managed to face it better than other criminals. That guy could be useful to me...Looks like I need more guys like him...More dangerous people who can take down Spider-Guppy...Computer, you've found my new guy from tests?" The mysterious man asked with a deep tone of voice.
"Sir, Of course Mr. The test subject's name is Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich, or as many call him: Alex O'Hirn. Very dangerous Russian criminal arrested on charges of grand theft. Very violent, strong but not very smart. Spider-Guppy busted him for a bank robbery a couple of weeks ago. Are you sure you want to contact him, sir?" The computer said with a female voice.
"Of course! His crazy and irrational subject profile is perfect for what I have in mind. Computer, start with the R.H.I.N.O. We have the right guy for the job" Big Man said very confidently. Looks like that guy wants something big for Spider-Guppy.
"Understood, sir. R.H.I.N.O project in progress" The computer said while in front of Big Man appeared a huge robotic suit. It was a suit that mixed robotics with biotechnology. It was shaped like a huge battle robot but with skin similar to a rhinoceros, in addition to a large horn on the helmet. The biotech mix of the machine was perfect and Big Man knew it.
