The Amazing Spider-Guppy
Chapter 18: Venom!
Spider-Guppy is back! Our hero was back to being himself. The wall-crawler was once again the friendly neighborhood Spider-Guppy. And Gil Parker is back to being the nerdy, good guy. However, there are still many issues to attend to. In his time under the influence of the symbiote, he had done a lot of harm to the people he loved the most. Gil knew that many of the things he did were under the influence of the alien, but he felt that he should take responsibility for all of it. And that is why he decided to talk to the person he trusted most in the whole world.
"I don't know, May...I...hurt all the people I care about most. To Goby, To Molly, to all my friends and acquaintances...Even to you...I don't know if I can do this" Gil explained his situation with few details.
"Gil, dear, this will be difficult...But, you have to start doing the most difficult thing: Forgive yourself. I believe in you. You're a good person. And I know that you will find a way to remedy everything in time. You can redeem yourself from all this. In time, others will see it" Aunt May said with a comforting smile. Her nephew hugged her.
"Th-Thanks, auntie" Gil said quietly.
"I will always be there for you, unconditionally" Aunt May told him.
Thanks to that talk, the blue-haired guppy knew what he had to do. He had to put his life in order, both his life as a civilian and that of a hero. For that, we will see how he returned to his fun personality as a hero. He returned to using his red and blue hero suit and his web shooter. We see how he stops a crime in progress. They were criminals who were robbing a jewelry store.
"Fast! Put everything in the bag! I don't want Spider-Guppy to arrive soon" The robber shouted with the gun in his hand.
"Awwww I didn't know you guys missed me so much" The two thieves were surprised to see him.
"Spider-Guppy!" Both said surprisedly.
"Ohhh! He's back in the red and blue suit!" The jewelry store owner said excitedly.
"It's good to go back to the classic. I missed this! Now...are we at the part where you guys give up?" Spider-Guppy said funnily. The robbers pointed their weapons at the hero, but Spider-Guppy took them away with his webs. It was not difficult for the hero to stop them without problems. They were tied by the cobwebs. At that point, police arrived on the scene to arrest them. At that moment, Captain Stacey arrived escorted by two SWAT officers with rifles. These two aimed at Spider-Guppy.
"Spider-Guppy….I see you're back to wearing your old suit" Captain Stacey said seriously.
"Yeah…You know? I think black is overrated. Listen, Captain...You were right when you said I was being radical. I wanted to apologize for that. I would like us to work like we did before" Spider-Guppy said sincerely.
"(sigh) Well, things will be a little different. I can tolerate you a little, you've saved the city countless times...But you'll have to earn my trust again. My superiors are considering arresting you" Captain Stacey said seriously.
"I understand it well. The ideal would be to hand myself over to you...But the city still needs me. I will work hard for your trust, captain. You are one of the most just and upright men in the city. We need more police officers like you" The masked guppy said before leaving using his webs.
"We should have stopped him" One of the agents said bothered.
"Believe me, even if you don't like him, we need him. He is the hero this city needs...I hope I can trust him again" The commander said with confidence. It looks like it will take time for Stacey to trust our hero again.
At the Bubble Bugle, Gil returned to the office to deliver the photos to his boss.
"Oh! Looks like that spider criminal is back to his old ways. No matter how many colors he has, he won't be able to hide how bad he really is... Anyway, you did a good job, Parker" Grumpfish said loudly.
"Sir….Ahem…I want to apologize for how I acted the other day. I just wanted to tell you that...I accept any payment you make to me. You are the boss and I do not justify my actions..." Gil said quietly. Jameson watched him for a few seconds in silence.
"Hmmmm….Whatever, kid. The important thing is that you keep getting me pictures of Spider-Guppy...Hmmmm...And if you needed a little more...you could have asked me in another way...I'll give you 20% more than what I pay you normally starting today..." Jameson said quietly.
"Sir…I cannot accept it…." Gil was surprised about his salary increase. It was little, but coming from Jameson, that would be something incredible.
"Accept it before I change my mind! If you want me to accept your apology, take more photos of that spider! Now you can go" Believe it or not, that was Jameson accepting his apology in his own way. Gil left and Robbie entered the office. He managed to hear everything.
"Sir, Parker is a good boy. He's just had bad days, that's all" Robbie defended him.
"I know, I know. Since that boy lost his uncle, his life was difficult. It must be hard to have to look for work at such a young age...(sigh) That's why I hired Parker. He is a rookie, but he has a good heart and is always willing to improve" Grumpfish said it with a quiet tone of voice "... Ahem! Don't tell anyone, huh?!"
"As you said, boss" Robbie said. Gil visited Betty to receive the payment, although the boy felt uncomfortable.
"Betty…Hmmm…I'm sorry for not being respectful with you…I…" He wanted to apologize to her.
"Oh, don´t worry, Gil! I think your comment blew me away. I mean, I was flattered that you think I look good...But, you're younger than me by a lot...I didn't think you thought that about me" Betty joked a bit.
"What?! No no no no! It wasn't my intention to seduce you! I'm sorry!" Gil blushed a lot.
"(giggle) It's okay. I know you don't like me...More like, I bet that friend you brought here is the girl you love, right?" The snail woman deduced.
"I…I…Yes, I think so…(sigh) I was an idiot to her too...I don't know if she will forgive me" Gil lowered his gaze.
"Hey…Don't make that long face...You can only be honest with her and tell her you're sorry. I don't know how she will feel, but at least you will feel better about yourself...I know you can make things better" Betty advised him kindly.
"Y-You´re right….Thanks" The guppy felt a bit better.

Gil was clear about what he felt. After so much emotional and sentimental conflict. After so much analysis, he came to a conclusion: He loved Molly Jane Watson! He wanted to remedy things with his best friend. But before that, he wanted to correct certain things first. So, as difficult as it was, he had to break off a certain criminal relationship. On that night, he arrived at a rooftop to meet the beautiful thief, Black Cat.
"Wow, Spidey...I see you went back to the classic colors...Hmmm I admit I liked your black suit better" Black Cat said seductively.
"I feel like black doesn't match me...Listen, Black Cat, I need to talk to you...We can't keep doing this" Spider-Guppy decided to tell her directly.
"Huh? You're not serious, are you?" She was a bit surprised.
"I'm sorry, Black Cat...What we've done is wrong. We just have to earn money honestly...We can't abuse our gifts...Black Cat, I can't continue with what we do...Our relationship..." He tried to explain.
"I get it….It's about another girl, isn't it?" She raised her eyebrow.

Black Cat, you can be something better than just a thief. As someone wise told me: "With Great Power comes Great Responsibility." Spider-Guppy tried to convince her.
"Hmmmm….I don't think so, spider...I'm not a hero like you...I have my reasons...(sigh) It's a shame...I liked you better when you were a bad boy... ...Well, I have better things to do" She decided to turn her back on him. She didn't look very happy about the change in him.
"Hey….I don't want to do it but...If you continue stealing...I'll have to catch you and turn you over to the police" He warned her. She just turned around with a mischievous look.
"You'll have to try it, Spider-Guppy. So...our rivalry returns, huh? This will be fun, The cat and spider game begins...See you next time, spider!" Black Cat disappeared into the shadows. It looks like Spider-Guppy's initial plan didn't go as planned. This only meant one thing: He should catch her again. Her rivalry with him returned.
It was time to return to student life. Which would be a great challenge, because he knew that he had to find his friends and apologize to them. Which will not be easy at all. As he walked down the hall, he ran into Dash Thompson who was walking. He decided to talk to the bully.
"Hi, Dash" He greeted him politely.

"I just wanted to say thank you for what you told me the other day. You were horribly honest with me and...that's what I needed at that moment...Thank you, Dash" Gil said sincerely. Dash was surprised. It was very rare for them to have those kinds of interactions.
"I…well...huh…hmmm…You´re welcome, Gil…." For the first time, he didn't treat him badly. But he had to pretend so as not to lose his reputation as a bully "AHEM! Don't confuse things, Parker! You're still a loser!" He left upset. Gil smiled a little. He had a feeling that there is something good in him. Only he's embarrassed to show it. However, the time came. Gil looked everywhere for his friends and was able to find them. Goby, Deema, Oona and Zooli were chatting normally. The blue-haired boy approached them slowly. He simply took a deep breath and decided to speak.
"H-Hi…Guys…" Gil said quietly. They noticed the boy's presence. They noticed that he dressed like he used to dress before. The girls murmured things to each other. They didn't look very happy with him. But Goby was the only one who dared to speak.
"Oh…hi, Gil….What do you want?" Goby crossed his arms.
"Guys...I want to apologize for how I acted the other day...I was a rude, a jerk and a bad friend...I was and am going through a lot of unpleasant things and...well...I left that all of that brought out the worst version of myself. It is true that I have problems, but that does not justify the things I have said...You are my friends and I love all of you...I just..." Gil said that with a regretful tone. He looked down to hide his tears. As expected, the first person to approach him was Goby. He put his hands on his shoulders.
"Gil...You are my best friend...One bad day of yours cannot ruin all the years of friendship we have formed..." Goby comforted him.
"Goby….I´m sorry….What I told you was not true... You will be much better than your father, I know it" Gil apologized.
"I forgive you, man...Just don't be an idiot next time" Goby joked a bit. Both of them laughed.
"Hmmmm if Goby forgives you, I can do it too" Deema smiled a bit.
"I forgive you too. But you know Gil? If you have problems, you should start trusting us...We can help you..." Oona added quietly.
"(sigh) Of course, why not? I still feel bad but...We'll work on it...In the end, you're not a bad person...Just someone who has had a bad time" Zooli hesitated at first, but she accepted it a bit.
"Thanks guys...I promise to trust you more...Hey, do you know where Molly is?" Gil asked curiously. The others fell silent.

"I don't know, Eddie...I just want to be alone...Please understand" She thought about leaving until she felt the boy grab her hand tightly. He was very strong, and that hurt her "H-Hey! What are you doing?! Let me go?!" She asked uncomfortably.
"I tried to be good to you...Anyway...You know something, Molly...I want to be a part of your next blog exclusive...Hehehe" Eddie gave an evil smile before Molly saw how the boy began to be covered in a black substance. And she saw how he changed his shape radically.

At that moment, Gil began to make amends with his friends. He began to be honest with them about some of his problems (yet, he didn't tell them that he was Spider-Guppy). Even though things were going a little better, Parker was worried about something. Molly hadn't been to class all day. That was very strange for her, since she never missed any class. The boy decided to text her at the end of the student day. Possibly, she didn't want to talk to him. However, that changed until he received a call from her.
RING! RING!
Gil responded immediately.
"Hello! Hello! Molly! Are you OK? Listen to me, I want to talk to you...I…" He responded quickly until he heard a mysterious voice.
"Gilly! I have no time! I want you to listen to me carefully. I am in danger! Please don't tell the police. Look for Spider-Guppy! I know you know how to contact him. I'm in a building under construction on 8th Street! Hurry up, I...HMMMMM!" At that moment, it sounded like someone had interrupted her and ended the call. Gil was scared. It seems that someone had kidnapped her and demanded Spider-Guppy's presence. The boy knew that he had to act soon before someone hurt him. The boy made sure to leave the school without anyone seeing him. He went to an alley to put on the hero suit and immediately go to the rescue of his beloved.
Spider-Guppy swung his webs and performed parkour on the rooftops to quickly reach the location Molly gave him. It was in an empty building that was under construction inside. The hero entered through a window stealthily. Inside there were many construction materials and unfinished structures. The masked guppy looked everywhere until he saw the brunette girl's hands were tied and her mouth was covered. Without wasting time, he quickly went to her to get her out of there.
"Hello, Molly! Your Friendly Neighbor has arrived. Your friend called me immediately. I'll get you out of here now" Spider-Guppy said before removing the duct tape that was covering her mouth.
"Spider-Guppy! It is a trap!" She shouted quickly.
"Wha-?!" Spider-Guppy asked confused before someone gave him a surprise attack. He received a brutal punch that knocked him down "Agh!"
"Look out!" Molly screamed again. Our hero received another blow that knocked him several meters away. Spider-Guppy was worried. He couldn't see his attacker.
"It's not possible. My spider sense doesn't work. What's going on?" He asked himself until he heard something horrible.
"GRRRRRRRAAAAAGHHHHH!" That was a horrible roar. A horrible beast appeared in front of him. He was a huge guppy, tall and extremely muscular. He had a white logo on his chest similar to a spider. His hands had dark claws and his face was simply terrifying. He had terrifying white eyes without pupils and a big mouth with sharp teeth and a long tongue.
"But what is that thing?!" Spider-Guppy was shocked.
"GRRRRRAAAAAAHHHH!" The dark monster launched an attack and managed to hit him a few times and knock him several meters towards the first floor. Making Molly lose sight of them. Those blows left Spider-Guppy quite injured. But he couldn't give up, he had to stop that thing and save Molly.
"It can't be...That logo...That dark body...Are you...the symbiote? Did you find a new guest?" Spider-Guppy asked surprisedly.
"HAHAHA! WE FINALLY SEE YOU FACE TO FACE, SPIDER-GUPPY...OR BETTER SAID, GIL PARKER!" The monster said with a wicked smile. Spider-Guppy was worried that he would know his secret, although it wouldn't be a surprise. He was on his mind. But what surprised him was that the monster decided to change his face to reveal who the bearer is "Hello, Parker!"
"E-E-Eddie?! What does this mean?" Spider-Guppy asked.
"I warned you, Parker. I told you you were going to pay me. You ruined my career. You ruined my relationship with Molly...You destroyed everything I had. And you know the best, I'm not the only one who hates you. They also hate you because you got rid of this, the symbiote. It seems we both have something in common: We both hate you! Now it's "our" turn to take down everything you love, starting with your beloved Molly. I call this: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth Haha!" Eddie said evilly.
"Eddie, you need to stop. That symbiote is a threat. He just wants to have a body to live in. Take it off before it's too late!" He wanted to warn him.
"Get rid of this? Ha! I won't make the same mistake as you. I will not give up this power. Oh, and one more thing. I'm not Eddie Brock anymore...In fact, it's not me...it's us..." Eddie said ominously before the symbiote covered his face and revealed the monstrous visage of his new form "WE ARE VENOM!"
"I don't want to do this but...I'll have to finish what I started" Gil said before starting the fight.
A great battle began! Spider-Guppy vs. Venom! It seems that the new villain was nothing like the others. He was extremely powerful. He was very strong, extremely stamina and very fast despite his large size. At first, he only attacked with blows. Spider-Guppy narrowly managed to avoid them. The dangerous thing is that his spider instinct was not working.
"I don't understand! Why doesn't my spider instinct work?" He asked worriedly.
"HAHAHA! DON'T YOU SEE IT? THE SYMBIOTE WAS IN YOUR BODY FOR A LONG TIME. LET'S SAY THAT THE SYMBIOTE WAS VERY KIND TO TELL ME YOUR MOST INTIMATE SECRETS. THAT INCLUDES YOUR SKILLS AND POWERS. Venom said before catching Spider-Guppy with a black web and pulling him towards him to hit him hard in the face.
"AGH!" He screamed in pain.
"THE FUN BEGINS FOR US" The monster decided to continue fighting Spider-Guppy. Now our hero had to be careful, because he knew his movements. He used his environment to try to defeat him. But it was very difficult. Venom was too powerful an opponent. He used his own techniques against him such as climbing walls, dodging and even spider webs.
"You are just a cheap copy of me!" Spider-Guppy provokes them.
"CHEAP COPY? WE PREFER THE TERM: SUPERIOR VERSION. BECAUSE WE ARE STRONGER, FASTER AND SIMPLY BETTER THAN YOU" Venom started to destroy him with old and new attacks. He managed to remove six black tentacles from his back to catch the spider.
"UGH! That is new!" Gil said surprisedly.
"OH PARKER! YOU HAD THE SYMBIOTE AND YOU NEVER USED THE FULL POTENTIAL" Venom mocked him. It was true, Venom not only had Spider-Guppy's enhanced powers, but powers of his own. The monster changed the shape of one of his hands to have the shape of a scythe with the intention of finishing off his enemy. Spider-Guppy used his agility and reflexes to dodge it. Our hero began to fight with his maximum capacity. Venom tried to kill him with his claws, teeth and other symbiote powers. They began to scale the building from the inside, using everything they had to stop each other. Molly managed to watch the fight and noticed something worrying: Spider-Guppy was losing. Venom was an extremely difficult opponent to defeat. He was unlike anything he had faced before.
"UGH! AGH!"
"YOU ARE TRASH, SPIDER!" Venom grabbed him by the face and started dragging him up the walls and across the floor. Spider-Guppy's suit was damaged and torn from the battle. He tried to hit him in the face, but the monster grabbed his wrist and lifted his body "YOU CAN'T BEAT ME, EVEN WITH YOUR CHEAP TOYS!" He said before squeezing his wrist tightly until he destroyed one of his web shooters.
"AAAAGGGHHHHHH!" Spider-Guppy screamed in pain.
"Spider-Guppy!" Molly shouted in fear.
"YOU ARE PATHETIC, SPIDER! YOU CAN'T WITH A SUPERIOR BEING" The monster was mocking Spider-Guppy. He began to hit and kick him in a humiliating way.
"No! NO! Please! You have to get up! You can beat him!" Molly tried to cheer him up.
"AWWWW THAT'S CUTE... THE GIRL WANTS TO HELP HER HERO...RIDICULOUS..." Venom said sarcastically.
"Stop all this madness, Eddie! You won't fix anything by taking revenge! This is dementia!" Molly tried to convince him.
"AWWW MY DEAR NAIVE GIRL...WE ARE A NEW BEING. OUR MINDS ARE ONE. WE REALLY ENJOYED THIS...YOU KNOW SOMETHING, MOLLY? WE WANT TO SHARE A LITTLE SECRET WITH YOU...A SECRET THAT SPIDER-GUPPY HAS KEPT FOR A LONG TIME" Venom said before grabbing the masked guppy by the head and dragging him so that he was on his knees before the girl "WHY DON'T YOU SHOW YOUR TRUE FACE TO HER BEFORE YOU DIE?" Venom did something surprising. He used the claws on his hands to rip off Spider-Guppy's mask and finally revealed the boy under the mask in front of Molly. She was shocked to see the truth through her own eyes.
"G-G-Gilly?!" Molly said in shock to see her best friend. His face was covered in wounds and a little blood from the battle.
"Ugh…M-Molly…I…I…ugh…." Gil wanted to explain things to her before Venom grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up "UGH!"
"Leave him alone!" Molly shouted.
"BUT HOW CUTE! GIL PARKER...HIDING THE TRUTH FROM THE GIRL HE LOVES TO KEEP HER SAFE...HAHAHA!...YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT. YOU ARE A FAILURE!" Venom began to crash him against the walls and floor.
"AAAGHH!"
"YOU DISAPPOINT EVERYONE! (crash) YOU ARE WEAK! (crash) YOU CAN'T SAVE THOSE YOU LOVE THE MOST! CONNORS! NONNY! (crash) YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SAVE YOUR FRIENDS (crash) MAY, GOBY, DEEMA, OONA, ZOOLI WILL BE NEXT! (crash) AWWWW POOR GIL PARKER! HE ALWAYS WANTS TO BE THE HERO... BUT WE KNOW THAT UNDER THAT MASK IS ONLY A SCARED CHILD... WHO COULD NOT SAVE DEAR UNCLE BEN" Venom didn't stop hurting him in every possible way. It was a brutal physical and emotional beating. Gil's nose and mouth began to bleed. Finally, the monster grabbed him by the neck again and he showed him his monstrous tongue "BUT DON'T WORRY, MY DEAR FRIEND. YOU WILL NOT LIVE ENOUGH TO CONTINUE SUFFERING. AFTER ALL, I'LL DO YOU A FAVOR. YOU WILL STOP HAVING YOUR MISERABLE LIFE" Their freehand changed shape into that of a blade. It would be the end of the spider. Gil was extremely injured. He was fighting not to fall unconscious "GOODBYE, GIL PARKER!"
"AAAAAHHHH!" Molly grabbed a metal stick to hit Venom on the back. That blow only tickled the monster.
"HAHAHA! SO SWEET! HA! DO NOT MAKE ME WASTE MY TIME" Venom summoned a tentacle to hit her. Molly fell into some metal pipes which caused a lot of noise. A high-pitched and annoying noise for a certain character "GRRAAAAAAGHGGGHHHHHH!" Venom screamed in pain and put his hands on his head and the black substance on his body came out of his body a little. That made him let go of Spider-Guppy. The boy landed with a pose and saw the monster screaming in pain. There Gil remembered something important. The day he removed the symbiote, the strong sound waves from the bell damaged the symbiote. Furthermore, on the day when he fought the Sinister Six, Shocker's pulse waves also damaged the symbiote. Which leads him to a conclusion, Venom's weakness is strong sound waves.
"M-Molly, are you okay?" He asked weakly.
"I...I think I'm fine...And what about you?" Molly asked worriedly.
"Listen to me...I need your help...Hit that metal stick against those metal pipes. I want you to make all the loud noises possible...I...Only then we can stop him" Spider-Guppy told her. She simply nodded her head before taking a metal stick.
"OH NO! YOU WON'T DO ANYTHING, GIRL!" Venom tried to catch Molly, but Spider-Guppy used his web-shooter to swing at him and deliver a strong kick to the monster's face.
"Mess with someone your size, Eddie! This ends now!" Gil shouted loudly.
"HMM HMMM THIS GONNA BE FUN FOR US!" Venom launched the attack and they started another round.
Spider-Guppy decided to use his last strength to fight the monster. With only his willpower and a single web shooter he fought Venom. But now the fight was more even. Because every time Venom prepared a lethal attack, Molly would hit metal pipes from a safe distance, causing loud noises that weakened the symbiote. Those were the opportunity that Gil took advantage of to deliver accurate blows that directly damaged Brock. That started to make him angry, so he activated a frenzy mode. He activated six dark tentacles and his hands turned into scythes. He attacked without mercy and our hero was getting tired. But Molly didn't stop either and she started hitting those tubes more, causing the symbiote to suffer horrible headaches. This caused the villain to lose concentration and become vulnerable to the wall-crawler. Venom couldn't tolerate it anymore, so the symbiote had no choice but to abandon the host.
"GRRRRRAAAAHHHH…NOOOO! Do not leave me alone!" Eddie screamed in despair as he saw the alien life form leaving his body. Gil saw that and used his web to trap the boy and separate him from the symbiote once and for all. The great black mass decided to escape and slipped through the sewers. Eddie was weak and fell to his knees in front of the exhausted hero.
"It's over, Eddie!" Gil said seriously.
"I don't think so, Parker! This is just the beginning! The symbiote and I are one! We can't separate ourselves! When I find them, we will be Venom again and you and everyone you love will pay!" Eddie planned to escape, but he didn't expect that someone was already waiting for him behind.
"Take this!" Molly landed a well-aimed blow on Eddie's face, causing him to fall to the ground. Finally, Venom had been defeated. The symbiote fled, but he won't have a host for quite some time. Gil used his web to trap Eddie and leave him in place for the police to catch. Now that the threat of Venom was over, there was another pending issue. He was in front of Molly without his mask. Finally, she knew his biggest secret. He didn't plan to talk and he started walking until he felt all the pain caused by his brutal fight against Venom. He fell to the ground on his knees.
"Ugghg" Gil said in pain.
"Gilly….Try to stand up" Molly picked up Gil, holding him by one shoulder, and they both began to walk out of the building slowly. They both didn't say anything yet, Gil was just trying to catch his breath. They finally reached a safe area. Gil used his strength to climb a building carrying Molly on his back. They ended up on a safe rooftop where no one could see them. Gil simply leaned against a wall to recover from his injuries. Molly decided to approach him.
"Ughh…Hmmmm…Ugh…." He took deep breaths to regain strength.
"Gilly….Are you sure you're okay? We could go to the hospital" Molly asked him worriedly.
"Ugh…Hmmm I´ll be okay….It's not the first time that some madman beats me up...But without a doubt...this has been the most brutal...Ugh...Besides, I'll be fine afterwards...I have regeneration, slow but I have it" The blue-haired guppy answered with a smile. Molly bent down to look at his face.
"So...you are...Spider-Guppy...Wow...Who would have thought" Molly said with surprise. Now was the right time to talk about that topic.
"Yes...so that...Hehe...I must imagine you are disappointed...I guess you were expecting someone else" Gil admitted with a low tone of voice.
"Not really...This is...incredible...One of the most important people in my life is a superhero...I must say that I had my suspicions, because you disappeared all the time before Spider-Guppy appeared...But I guess I couldn't be sure until now…..Now I know why you were acting protective of me, you just wanted to protect me...I...I'm sorry" She said sadly.
"Wait! I should apologize! I acted horrible to you and our friends...Honestly, I acted like that because...I used the symbiote before Eddie found it" Parker told her.
"All this is complicated. I would like you to explain everything to me. And this time, I want to know the truth" Molly asked him.
"(sigh) It's true. I warn you. It is a long story" Gil said quietly. Molly sat on the floor in front of him so he could start telling her his whole story. Since the day the radioactive spider bit him. How he had the motivation to be a hero. She told him about the times he disappeared to do his hero work. She told him about how he encountered the symbiote and how he got rid of it. Maybe he didn't tell her everything, but it was the first time he told someone else his secret.
"So...that explains why you disappear all the time...And that black thing that possessed Eddie was what you had...and that's why you acted like it...Hmmmmm... And a question, does anyone else know this? Does your aunt know about this?" Molly asked kindly.
"No, you're the only one to know...Well, I guess Eddie knows clearly now...But other than the two of you...no one else" Gil answered.
"So you've done all this alone...And why didn't you tell anyone?" She asked curiously.
"(sigh) Imagine what would happen if my enemies knew who Spider-Guppy was. Did you see what happened today with Venom. The villains would not rest until they reached me through the people I love. If people find out...everyone I care about will be exposed...It's part of my responsibility to keep the secret safe...And I hope you keep the secret...Please.." Gil said quietly. Molly was thoughtful for a long moment. It was a lot to process. She just found out that her lifelong best friend was the hero she admired the most, Spider-Guppy.
"I promise to keep your secret, Gil..." She said with confidence "Well…Ahem….Gil, one more question...Is it true what you told me when that black thing controlled you...that you liked me?" She asked curiously.
"(sigh) I think so, Molly. I've liked you for a long time... But I never had the courage to tell you. Seeing that you were hanging out with cool guys like Dash or Eddie...made me think I would never have a chance with you..." Gil said quietly. Molly decided to get closer to him.
"Gil, do you know something? I...I also feel something for you...Something more than a friendship, of course" Molly confessed her feelings.
"Huh?!" He was confused.
"Gil, I've liked you for a long time...But I never knew how to tell you. I was afraid that you would reject me and that you only wanted me as a friend. That's why I tried to ignore what I felt by going out with other people...Big mistake...But, deep down, I always wanted to be with you" She said with a lovely smile.
"(sigh) It's very nice what you're telling me...But...I don't know if you really feel something for me...Do you like me because I'm Gil Parker...or because I'm Spider-Guppy?" He asked seriously.
"You know, it's true that I used to talk nonsense when Spider-Guppy was around. I loved him platonically. But something about what he told me sometimes, I felt like they were coming from you. And now I know why. Gil, you are an incredible boy...With or without powers...Hehehe I was falling in love with you long before I knew this...You really are incredible: You are smart, brave, kind and you care about others. Something neither Dash nor Eddie were..." Molly said that with a tender tone. They both looked nervous. She was the girl who decided to grab her hero's face and finally kissed him on his lips. Gil was surprised, but he simply closed his eyes and continued the slow but tender kiss. They both separated to look into each other's eyes.
"W-Wow….." Gil was surprised. Both teens were blushing.
"Gilly….I love you….With and without the mask. Spider-Guppy wouldn't be the noble hero without Gil Parker. I want to start being your moral support in both of your lives. I don't want you to be alone in this...not anymore" Molly said with a tender tone of voice.
"Molly…I love you too…." He smiled at her "Ahem…so…So...our relationship...is it official?" He asked nervously.
"Hehehe…You're still the shy nerd that I like...But wouldn't that be weird? We haven't even had our first date" Molly Jane Watson said with a soft laugh.
"I'm the worst, aren't I?" He touched his neck nervously. She gave him a special smile.
"We can fix it...Friday, at 8 pm, at Tony's restaurant...Sounds like a plan?" Molly said with a lovely smile.
"Sounds perfect…." Gil said that before the two teenagers gave each other another kiss on the lips. A little shorter than the previous one, but just as romantic.
"Take this. I picked it up during the fight" Molly gave him the Spider-Guppy mask. It was obviously a little torn, but it was secure enough to hide his face at least. Gil took it and put on her mask, reverting to his identity as Spider-Guppy "I should go home. Could you take me?" She asked funnily.
"Of course...The Spider-Guppy shuttle service is in operation. I'm warning you, hold on very tight. It will be a bumpy ride" He said funnily. She giggled and clung to the masked hero so they could both finally leave "I just remembered...I only have a web shooter...I can try it"
"Wait…What are you-AHHHH!" Molly screamed as the chic jumped off the building and began swinging across the city with her clinging tightly to him. It was a bumpy ride and many twists and turns "IT WAS MORE FUN IN MY IMAGINATION! AHHHHHH!"
Thus concludes our story. Spider-Guppy managed to defeat one of his greatest enemies. And in turn, he finally had the girl he loved so much. Something good happened to Gil Parker after so many problems. This new stage for our hero would be interesting. Now Molly would be more present, both in her civilian life and in her life as a superhero. It seems that now he had closer moral support. There were still many challenges that Gil must face, but now he finally had someone special to help him.
AAAAAGHHHHHHHH! GRRRRRRRR! UGH….UGH….ugh! Wow! I finally got rid of that horrible thing! Nothing that my sister's squeaky voice doesn't help XD. Nah, just kidding. ReaderandWriter9000 here with a new chapter-WHAT? Has the chapter already ended? So it was Venom who started with the intro? Oh well...Anyway...I guess it was a really cool chapter. Full of emotions, action and even love. One of my favorite chapters, because this is one of my favorite villains...Although he controlled me hahaha

PrimroseRaspberry: Hi again! The symbiote definitely brought out the worst side of Gil in the previous chapter. It's incredible to know that, of all people, it was Dash who made him reconsider. It seems that he is not as bad as he seems. Gil really had to apologize a lot and remedy many things. Some did forgive him, others needed more time to forgive him. The battle against the symbiote in Gil's mind was very interesting and we have Uncle Ben to thank for the result. Eddie did his thing with the symbiote and paid for it. I hope you liked this chapter.
