Chapter 26: Gangs War!
Although many may not believe it, one of Spider-Guppy's greatest enemies is not a villain with advanced technology or superpowers or an alien. One of our hero's greatest opponents is a group of people and a corrupt system. That's right, I'm talking about organized crime. No matter if we're talking about fiction or real life, organized crime is one of the greatest threats to our society. For a long time, Spider-Guppy has captured members of these criminal groups and even some mob bosses who rule the criminal underworld of New Bubble York. But even so, these groups are like cockroaches: They are everywhere and they are hard to kill. No matter how many times Spider-Guppy captures mob bosses or important men, the judicial system cannot keep them behind bars because of the power they wield in the courts and tribunals. Unfortunately, corruption and under-the-table dealings occur a lot in this city and that is why criminal groups remain operational. Fortunately, Spider-Guppy has formed an alliance with Captain Stacey, the police chief and Deema's father. He is one of the few top officials who has not been bought or intimidated by these criminals. Despite this, the plague of organized crime persists.
Of the criminal groups we know of, there is the gang ruled by the mobster Hammerhead. His gang is one of the largest and most numerous in New York. The second largest and most dangerous criminal group is the group led by the infamous Tombstone. A cold and calculating subject who has faced Spider-Guppy on a few occasions. However, there is a third crime lord who is rarely seen. His name is Silvermane and he runs another mafia house. His group is smaller than his opponents, but his group is the one with the most resources (money, advanced weaponry and the best quality of mercenaries). It is no surprise to anyone that there are disputes for power and territory between these three subjects. Due to some mysterious events that are harmful to all of them, the three leaders of the mafias met in an abandoned building near an old dock, far from the central area of the city. The three men of the mafia held a conference to discuss the issues of interest. Each of them had armed bodyguards in case the negotiations turned hostile, which was very likely. This was because there was discontent among the three mafias.
"This is unacceptable! Your gang has been taking over my drug outlets. You must tell your men to respect our territories!" Hammerhead said, bothered.
"What right do you have to tell me that?! You started the aggression. You dared to blow up a warehouse of mine with drugs and weapons. Some of my men died. Be thankful that I have not broken the treaty as you did" Tombstone replied angrily.
"What the hell are you talking about? I didn't blow anything up! And even if I had, you deserve it. One of your men turned snitch and turned two of my trusted men over to the police with hard evidence. I won't be able to get them out of prison even with bribery" The hammerhead shark defended himself.
"Why are you blaming me? I'm sure that was the work of Spider-Guppy and Police Chief Mr. Stacey" The gray fish asked him.
"It's likely. But the evidence will be very private conversations with one of your people. As far as I'm concerned, you handed them over. It's obvious. You want to take over my territories, because you're jealous that I'm the criminal with the most territories" Hammerhead replied angrily.
"Why would I be interested in your territory? You rule the north, I rule the central zone, and Silvermane rules the south. That was part of the treaty and I have honored it. I am satisfied with my area, why would I look for more?" Tombstone asked.
"Gentlemen, please calm down both of you. It's obvious that someone wants to sabotage you two. I'm sure that if we join together, we'll find the saboteurs and then, we can unite to accomplish our common goal: Wiping Spider-Guppy off the map" Finally, Silvermane stepped in as an intermediary between the two of them. He was a lobster-like man in an elegant white suit, with blue eyes and white hair. Unlike the other two, he was more gentlemanly, elegant and tried to be neutral between them.
"Wait a second... You're the only one who wasn't affected by these last attacks" Tombstone commented.
"So that's what it's all about! You're sabotaging both of us so you can expand your criminal group" Hammerhead added with anger.
"Let's not jump to conclusions. You might regret this decision" Silvermane said calmly.
"It's the most logical conclusion. We're not idiots" Hammerhead replied.
"You want us to destroy each other so you can take advantage. He wouldn't be surprised by a guy like you" Tombstone deduced.
"Believe what you want. But I'm sure of one thing. If you interfere in my business, there will be retaliation" Silvermane threatened them in a calm way.
"Too late. I'll take action against you two! You're not to be trusted!" Hammerhead shouted.
"If you think I won't fight back, you're wrong. If I have to finish you both off, I'll do it like this!" Tombstone defended himself.
"Are we really going to turn New Bubble York into a war zone? If that is what you two wish...That will be done...I will give you a chance to make your first move" Silvermane decided to quietly retreat with two of his most capable mercenaries pointing their guns at the other mobsters for safety and then they retreated. The other bosses also left under escort and were on the verge of unleashing a war.
The next few days would become more complicated. Although at first they seemed like normal days. The guppies went to high school. Gil spent time with his girlfriend and friends. Although Goby had also taken some distance from his best friend. Zooli gave Dash the opportunity to get to know each other better and they started a small but cute friendship. They all went to regular classes those days. Gil had his daily job as a photographer for the Bubble Bugle and also as Spider-Guppy. In those days, he only stopped independent criminals, but he also noticed how many men from the Hammerhead and Tombstone gangs began to have more activity. He also faced some mobsters from the Silvermane gang (although Spider-Guppy had never seen or faced Silvermane). However, something horrible happened some time later.
Classes were suspended. Many jobs temporarily closed. The police declared an emergency curfew and a massive lockdown in many parts of the city. Why did all this happen? Gang warfare broke out in New Bubble York! The Tombstone Gang, the Hammerhead Gang and the Silvermane Gang started a violent armed conflict with each other. These three sides were the most important. Some smaller gangs tried to fight back, but were brutally crushed. And those who remained alive were forced to work for one of the larger gangs. In this conflict we must highlight the massive work of the police. The police and SWAT forces had to arrive heavily armed, because the situation was getting out of control. There were shootings in the streets, in premises, fires in buildings and vehicles, some homemade bombs were activated in some areas. No one had seen such chaos like this in a long time. In fact, we will see a worrying situation.
"This is a live stream from "The Spider Zone!" I'm MJ and I'm broadcasting this live from the city train. We're stuck on the bridge because some gangsters have taken control of the train and they want to use us as bait and also...they want to blow up the train at the next station with us inside. I don't know if Spider-Guppy will make it in time, but I trust him with my life...He's our only hope...But this will probably be the last broadcast in case something terrible happens. If so, thank you for being loyal followers..." Molly was narrating the events. She was one of the hostages on the train. The transport was guarded by armed mercenaries who subdued the passengers. One of them discovered Molly and snatched her cell phone "Hey! That phone is mine! You can't take it from me"
"So you were transmitting. Alright guys...take care of her" One of the mercenaries grabbed her by the arm and dragged her towards his partners in crime.
"Should we kill her or should she die with the others in the explosion?" One of the thugs asked.
"It's the same. With this train bomb we will destroy the next station, and surely Silvermane's men will pay dearly for it" Another criminal said with a smirk.
"I thought you were all on the same side" Molly commented.
"You keep quiet if you want to stay alive for a few more minutes...No one will stop us from our attack. Not even Spider-Guppy" One of them said confidently. Without them realizing it, someone managed to anticipate the train's route and landed on the roof of one of the train cars and began to knock out and trap the criminals in spider webs one by one and stealthily.
"Boss, he's on the train! He's knocked down all our comrades...AHHHHH!" The mercenary reported before being interrupted. Something had grabbed him from behind and pulled him back only to hear silence. That made the criminals nervous.
"So the wall-crawler has come... Alright... Let him come! He'll just come out of this in a bag and we'll deliver him to the boss" The head of the operation said before grabbing Molly by the neck and putting the gun to her head to create a hostage situation. And two other mercenaries simply armed their AK-47 rifles and aimed at the door of the train car. They were on automatic mode in the locomotive. The mercenaries simply thought that the door was the only entrance, so our hero had no way to get in. Is that so?
"But wha-?!" Spider-Guppy kicked the window in a swing, breaking the glass to enter the train in a spectacular way. During that, he kicked one of the guards. And quickly used a web to disarm the criminal and then stick him to the wall unable to move. This scared the boss who was careless and Molly took advantage of it to hit him in the stomach and free herself from the criminal's restraints. He thought about shooting, but the hero took the gun away with the web.
"Threatening a young lady? That's not very gentlemanly" Spider-Guppy mocked.
"Don't come any closer or I'll activate this detonator! And everyone on this train will be blown to pieces!" The leader of the operation said in a threatening tone. Although Molly was a little worried, Spider-Guppy used that to his advantage.
"Wait...You said: Everyone on this train...You know that includes you, right?" Spider-Guppy used his tricks to confuse him.
"Oh yeah! Wait...No! Why would I blow you up? Oh no! I'll activate this detonator when we get to the next station" He said confidently.
"Wait a minute... That detonator doesn't match with the bomb... The bomb is not activated by the detonator, but by proximity. If it gets close to another device, it explodes... Is that device at the next station?" Molly commented.
"Wait...If this detonator doesn't work...That means that...THE BOSS WANTS TO BLOW UP THE STATION WITH US INSIDE! IT CAN'T BE! SAVE US, SPIDER-GUPPY!" The mercenary panicked. Spider-Guppy decided to immobilize him with some spider webs.
"Don't worry. We will stop the bomb" Spider-Guppy said bravely.
"But how? This bomb has no functional detonator. And it will be activated if we reach the next station" Molly asked him.
"Exactly. If the train reaches the next station...Molly, find the driver. I have a plan" Spider-Guppy told her before executing his rescue plan. He decided to climb out the window and decided to start shooting webs at the many nearby buildings to start slowing down the train. And he stood in front to use his strength to stop the train. However, the webs kept breaking and Spider-Guppy kept using his webs to stop the train. Molly understood what the masked hero wanted to do and looked for the engine driver.
"Excuse me! Who is the train driver? The criminals have been stopped and Spider-Guppy needs the driver. They talked to each other until a brown fish stood up and approached her.
"I'm the driver. Tell me what Spider-Guppy needs?" The driver asked her.
"We must stop the train. If we reach the station, we will all explode" Molly said. The conductor quickly went with her and they both reached the driver's cabin, where through the front windows we see Spider-Guppy using his strength and his web cartridges to create more and more, and the train did not stop.
"Spider-Guppy! Hold on a little longer. I'll use the brakes" The driver decided to take control of the train and activated the brakes. As the train was going at high speed and was close to reaching the next station, the pressure on everyone increased. Thanks to the driver's knowledge, the train began to slow down and Spider-Guppy continued using all his strength and webs to stop the train. Thanks to these factors, the train slowed down little by little before it finally stopped in time, preventing it from reaching the train station. And thus, avoiding the detonation. Spider-Guppy fell exhausted and breathing heavily.
"Spider-Guppy! Spider-Guppy!" The passengers celebrated the rescue and their hero. Spider-Guppy approached the civilians to give them directions.
"Thank you...But the driver of this train is the real hero. I couldn't have stopped the train without him. Now, get off this train now. There is still a bomb threat and the real bomber could have activated it. Get off the train now. Help the vulnerable like children, the elderly and the ones with disabilities" Spider-Guppy ordered and both he and the passengers began to take people out of the train, including some of the criminals already disarmed and bound by spider webs. Finally, there were no people on the train. Or at least that's what they thought.
"I think that's all of them. They've all been evacuated" Molly said, relieved.
"Help! Help!"
"It's Jacob, my coworker. I'm closer. I'm coming for you" The train conductor quickly went to the train, he entered one of the carriages and the guy was tied to a railing on the train. He began to untie him.
"Wait! No, I'm coming for you!" Spider-Guppy tried to go for both of them quickly until something horrible happened. A guy was on the roof of a nearby building and he took out a device and pressed the button.

The train exploded! The shockwave threw Spider-Guppy into the air and he fell to the ground as he watched the train explode without being able to do anything about it. Spider-Guppy watched the scene paralyzed. Because inside was the train driver, the man who helped him save the others on the train. Spider-Guppy was horrified. It was the first time he couldn't save someone. The driver and his coworker Jacob died in the explosion. Spider-Guppy could only fall to his knees and felt vulnerable for the first time as a superhero. He could only look at the ground in defeat. Molly could only approach him, seeking to comfort him.
"S-S-Spider-Guppy?" Molly tried to mention his name.
"I...I...I fail...I...I usually...save everyone..." Spider-Guppy said weakly. He tried not to cry. He had never failed to save another person's life when he could. But this time, two lives slipped through his hands. He would continue to mourn, but his spider instincts kicked in. He realized there was a threat. His instincts helped him dodge a sniper's bullet. There he learned that the shot came from a building. And he saw it: The shooter was on top of a building and began to flee. Spider-Guppy quickly decided to hunt him down. Which didn't take long. The shooter tried to escape through a door, but Spider-Guppy appeared in front of him.
"Shooting someone who is vulnerable? That's too low..." Spider-Guppy said seriously. This time, he wasn't the funny, sarcastic hero we know. He was serious and angry.
"Die!" The criminal tried to pull out his gun, but Spider-Guppy didn't give him time and hit him mercilessly. And while he was hitting him, he discovered something: The detonator that activated the train bomb came out of the shooter's trench coat. So he realized that he was the one who activated the bomb.
"Huh?! So you activated the bomb!" Spider-Guppy said angrily.
"Those were Hammerhead's orders! It's a shame the train didn't make it to the station. More people would have died and my work would have been a success" The criminal confessed.
"The bomb killed two innocent men!" Spider-Guppy shouted angrily.
"And 3 more men who were my boss's henchmen died…" The man added. This only caused more anger in our hero.
"Didn't you care about the lives of your partners in crime?!" The masked hero asked.
"Those were Hammerhead's orders. They thought they had the detonator when I was going to activate it without them knowing. They were the scapegoats. But... What does it matter? Who cares about the lives of those insignificant people?" The bomber asked with a smirk.
"I DO!" Spider-Guppy took out his anger on him with some blows that even left him with a bleeding mouth and nose.
"Ugh…Ugh…." The criminal was weak and tired.
"What the hell happened to Hammerhead?! Did he go crazy?!" Spider-Guppy interrogated him aggressively.
"You don't know? The war has begun. Hammerhead wants to eliminate Tombstone and Silvermane from the competition. The crime lords have started a war against each other for the dominance of crime. You know...business. But it doesn't matter...Since I failed in my mission and Hammerhead will punish me for this...I guess I have to redeem myself from my sin...by taking you with me!" The bomber activated an explosive device he had attached to his vest and grabbed Spider-Guppy to explode with him. However, our hero had no intention of leaving with him.
"Sorry, it's not my time!" Spider-Guppy broke free from the grip with a punch and had no choice but to leave the building so that the guy could explode on his own. And that's what happened.
BOOM!
The hero managed to escape the explosion in time. He simply decided to return to Molly and the civilians who were rescued from the train. There were some police officers, paramedics and firefighters on the scene.
"Spider-Guppy! We're glad to see you here. The city is in a state of crisis. The gang war has gotten out of control" A police officer told him.
"I noticed. Hammerhead went over the line this time" Spider-Guppy said.
"And it's not just him. Tombstone and Silvermane have been wreaking havoc on the city. Multiple shootings, bombings and arson and acts of vandalism. We're losing control" The officer reported.
"Where is Captain Stacey?" Spider-Guppy asked him.
"He's with a squadron fighting against mercenaries from Tombstone and Silvermane. They've been cornered and I don't know if they have a way out. We requested reinforcements, but with so many emergencies active at the same time...it is impossible to help him quickly." The officer reported.
"I'll be the reinforcement. You get these people out of the city now. This is a war zone" Spider-Guppy ordered. The officer agreed and they began the evacuation mission.
"Spider-Guppy…..I think you need to take a break. I know you're not okay" Molly expressed. Since she knew he was still shocked by the previous events.
"I don't have time. There are more people who need me... You go with the rescuers and get out of the city. It's not safe" Spider-Guppy ordered.
"But-"
"Just do it!" He responded sternly before walking away. This worried his girlfriend. However, all she could do was watch him go away swinging with his webs, leaving her a little hurt.
As Spider-Guppy moved through the city, he noticed how his beloved city was descending into chaos. Many gang members from the major gangs were causing havoc in the battle they had with each other. They didn't care about the collateral damage. Our hero defeated some of them while he was on his way to rescue Capital Stacey. He arrived at the center of the city where he saw the scene of a war. The police were defending themselves from the criminals of Tombstone and Silvermane, who were also fighting each other. It was a battle of three separate sides.
"We have to maintain the position…." Captain Stacey said while defending his companions.
"Sir, we must retreat strategically and reorganize" One of his sergeants proposed.
"If we retreat, we'll be mowed down... We're in a lose-lose situation. Hamilton, where are the reinforcements?" The police chief asked.
"Boss, all the officers are busy like us...We are on our own. What are we going to do?" Officer Hamilton answered.
"Grrr….I think that all we have left is to fight until we run out of ammunition. (sigh) We will die with honor and in the service of the country" Captain Stacey was about to accept the end until surprise help showed up.
"The star reinforcement has arrived, captain!" Suddenly, Spider-Guppy came swinging and began to fight the mercenaries quickly and agilely. He had to avoid being shot at all costs. He used his webs to disarm them, trap them, grab them and throw them at each other. Spider-Guppy also used new gadgets he had made. For example, an electric web that stunned enemies as if they were receiving a taser. Another was a web bomb, which was a sphere similar to the one he used against Venom, but instead of using sound waves, it exploded and released a white substance of web that acted like glue and trapped everyone who was in the impact zone. The Police Captain saw this as an opportunity and ordered his colleagues to help the hero and they managed to stop the remaining criminals. In such a way that everyone was captured.
"You came at the perfect time, Spider-Guppy" Captain Stacey said thankfully.
"I think so... There were a lot of problems along the way. All the mob bosses went crazy and started this war. Can't they just work out their problems over a game of poker or something?" Spider-Guppy said sarcastically.
"Something is really wrong...I wish we could know where the three leaders are" Captain Stacey said. At that point, they started arresting and interrogating. However, one of them has important information.
"So you want to know where they are, huh? Well, it's your lucky day. Today the leaders have a meeting in an abandoned warehouse to renegotiate" One of the grunts confessed.
"Where will they meet?" Spider-Guppy questioned him.
"At the old northern pier...If you are lucky, it will be in a few hours" The criminal added.
"Hmmm…..I'm sure it's a trap" Captain Stacey commented about his theory.
"That's why I'll go first. I'll go into the building and you guys will come in when I've taken care of them. I'm on my way" Spider-Guppy said bravely.
"We must go" The chief police officer said.
"I'm sorry, but I can't risk you and your men. You guys handle the arrests and I'll go get the leaders" The masked boy said seriously and walked away. He didn't want any more innocent casualties. And even less to expose one of the best police officers and the father of one of his friends.
It was a very hard day for Spider-Guppy. He knew he had to get to the meeting point of the mafia bosses if he wanted to stop the gang war. Along the way, he defeated and captured the gang members he found in his path to avoid more damage and possible victims. Spider-Guppy was not feeling well about the death of the civilians who were victims of this gang war. That is why he had to put an end to the conflict. After many difficulties, he arrived at the expected warehouse. This time, Spider-Guppy decided to sneak in to discover the purpose of this meeting. When he entered the building, he hid on the roof and saw how the mafia bosses met. There was Hammerhead, Tombstone and Silvermane. All three had mercenary escorts, since none of them wanted to risk their lives.
"Wow, so you summoned me to this meeting. Then I must assume that you have accepted my superiority and will surrender" Silvermane asked them politely.
"What are you talking about? I came here because you called me. You are the ones who should surrender" Hammerhead said botheredly.
"I don't think so. I was informed that you were going to negotiate the surrender treaty" Tombstone replied.
"Let me see if I understand...None of you called me to surrender. Well...what a shame. Then you tell me that I will have to finish you off to take over your men and your territories and businesses" Silvermane said with a smirk.
"You're a hypocrite. You said you didn't start this" Hammerhead shouted.
"I'm just defending myself from your threats. I'm not going to give in in this conflict, especially when I have the best weapons" Silvermane defended himself.
"Funny. I don't think I'm going to be either! I've carried out more daring bomb attacks against you two" Hammerhead said.
"You don't know what you're talking about. I'm not going to stop this war. If I have to wipe out all of New Bubble York, I will" Tombstone said firmly.
"That is if you get out of this alive, zombie face" Hammerhead threatened by pulling out his iconic Thompson-style submachine gun and pointing it at him.
"You need more than that to kill me, you moron" Tombstone pulled out his heavy revolver to threaten him.
"Go ahead...kill each other...I will face the one who survives" Silvermane smirked.
"I don't think so" Tombstone said seriously before pointing his gun at Silvermane and shooting him in the chest. The shot was loud. That would be lethal to anyone, but both gangsters were surprised to see that Silvermane was still standing.
"But what? How are you still alive?" Hammerhead asked with shock.
"Hehehe…..Appearances are deceiving, gentlemen" Silvermane decided to tear off his suit with his own hands to reveal his body to the other two mobsters. They were shocked to see what he really was. Silvermane had a cyborg body from neck to toe. His body was covered in metal and advanced systems. He smiled victoriously "Now….Who among you will accept surrender willingly?" Silvermane activated energy cannons that came out of both of his arms. And he pointed them at Hammerhead and Tombstone. One for each arm.
"Could you please shut up for once? You look like soap opera actors" Finally, Spider-Guppy decides to make an appearance in front of the leaders.
"Spider-Guppy!" Hammerhead and Tombstone said at the same time.
"It's an honor to finally meet you in person, Spider-Guppy" Silvermane confessed.
"Skip the formalities, Silvermane. I'm here to get you three to stop this senseless gang war. You're killing innocent people and that's something I won't tolerate. So... will you three surrender or do I have to take you out one by one?" Spider-Guppy cracked his knuckles to prepare for a fight. Because he had a feeling that they were not going to give in easily.
"You are in no position to threaten anyone, Spider-Guppy" Hammerhead prepared his Thompson submachine gun.
"Great, it'll be three against one" Tombstone prepared his revolver.
"I don't see it that way. I see it as: Free-For-All" Silvermane said before firing his energy cannons at Spider-Guppy and the other two mobsters. Thus a pitched battle began.
It was a chaotic battle of all against all. Spider-Guppy vs. Hammerhead vs. Tombstone vs. Silvermane. The masked hero was the one with the least advantages, both physically and in equipment. He had to dodge the shots quickly and effectively. Hammerhead shot everyone mercilessly with his Thompson submachine gun. In addition to taking advantage of his metal plate that was embedded in his forehead to block shots and deliver deadly headbutts. Tombstone shot everyone with his revolver. He used his tough skin to withstand the shots and beat them with his bare hands thanks to his superhuman resistance. Silvermane was the one with the most advantage. Because his cyborg body gave him greater resistance and his technology gave him more advanced weapons such as energy shots, lasers and small rockets. Even though it was a tough battle for our hero, he had a slight advantage. The three criminals weren't working together, they were also fighting each other. So Spider-Guppy used something clever. He had them hit, attack, and shoot each other. They all hit and shot each other. Spider-Guppy was the one who had to dodge the bullets the most, since he was the only one who wasn't bulletproof. After much fighting, he knew it was time to stop them all.
"Enough. I must end this once and for all" Spider-Guppy said before putting his new plan into practice. Taking advantage of the fact that the mob bosses were fighting each other, he used his new gadgets to incapacitate them. He kicked Hammerhead in the legs, since besides his head, the rest of his body was not very strong and then made him hang from the webs upside down with his entire body wrapped in webs. Spider-Guppy knew that he could not take down Tombstone easily due to his extremely tough skin. Therefore, he prepared his new sticky bomb device to catch and immobilize Tombstone. Finally, only Silvermane remained, who would be the most difficult. After dodging his blows and shots, Spider-Guppy used his new electric webs to begin sabotaging and overloading Silvermane's cybernetic body.
"Grrrr...You need more than that to take me down, kid" Silvermane continued to fight Spider-Guppy. He was beginning to weaken from the electrical charges. After exchanging blows, Spider-Guppy knocked him down with a kick. And when Silvermane fell to the ground, he was covered in webs and received several electric shocks that left the cyborg body immobile "Ughhh!"
"This war ends here and now!" Spider-Guppy said seriously after seeing the defeated gang leaders. At that moment, the doors opened and many people entered.
"Nobody moves! It's the New Bubble York Police Department! You're surrounded!" Captain Stacey arrived in his SWAT uniform. The officers who came in with them were heavily armed SWAT officers.
"Captain Stacey, you arrived in time to arrest them and put an end to this gang war" Spider-Guppy said confidently.
"75% of gang attacks were stopped. In less than 24 hours we will regain control. Thanks, Spider-Guppy" Captain Stacey confirmed.
"Stop! Wait a minute! This was all a trap! Someone brought us here" Hammerhead deduced.
"That's right...How did you get here so quickly? Did you plan it?" Tombstone asked Spider-Guppy.
"One of yours confessed to us about this secret meeting" Spider-Guppy answered him.

"But what does this mean?" Captain Stacey asked confusedly.
"Big Man...I've been looking into it, but I'm just seeing it on video now...Whatever it is, we need to get them and get out of here before…" Spider-Guppy said before something surprised him. His spider sense activated unexpectedly.
"HAHAHAHA! The spider and the stowaways came uninvited. How rude!" Suddenly, the roof explodes and the terrified supervillain appears flying with his glider and launches missiles to shoot down many SWAT agents. Spider-Guppy manages to dodge the missiles.
"Green Goblin! What are you doing here? Do you work for Big Man?!" Spider-Guppy asked him.
"Hahaha! I don't work for anyone but myself. I only do this by mutual agreement. I just have to eliminate everyone in this room and that's it" Green Goblin said sadistically.
"Not if I avoid it" Spider-Guppy wasted no time in attacking. However, that was what he had wanted all along.
"Terrible choice, little spider!" Green Goblin waited for the perfect moment and threw a pumpkin bomb at him. Normally, this bomb takes a long time to explode, but as soon as he got close to Spider-Guppy, it exploded quickly just a few meters away from Spider-Guppy, sending him to the ground, severely injured. His suit and body received severe burns. The trickster villain had activated the bomb while they were talking, waiting for the right moment to explode the bomb in the hero's face. And his plan worked.
"AAAGHHHH!" Spider-Guppy screamed in pain from the burns. It damaged his suit and his body.
"Spider-Guppy!" Captain Stacey screamed and came to the masked boy's aid "Officers, get him out of here so he can get help now!" He ordered before.
"Good evening everyone! It's time for the dawn of a new New Bubble York ...without you!" Green Goblin flew out of the building on his glider, but not before pressing a button.
BOOOOM!
It was all a trap this whole time. The foundations of the buildings were rigged with explosives. When it went off, the entire building collapsed with the mob leaders, SWAT officers, Captain Stacey and... Spider-Guppy inside. The ruble fell, leaving a large area of destruction... No traces of life nearby.
"Spider-Guppy! Can you hear me?! Spider-Guppy! How are you?! What happened?! Answer me! Spider-Guppy! Gilly! GILLYYYYY!" Molly communicated with her partner through the device. Not knowing that her hero would not respond, because he was buried in the rubble... Not knowing if he was still alive... And not knowing... what the Green Goblin will do now.

What an unexpected twist. Spider-Guppy fell into the trap and it's a significant defeat. Will he manage to get out of this? What do Big Man and Green Goblin have in their hands? It will be a mystery for the next chapter.
