Chapter 27: The Big Man
"Greetings, citizens of New Bubble York! I present myself to you all. I am the Big Man, the new crime lord of this city. So many years of being ruled by Hammerhead, Tombstone and Silvermane... That broadcast went through all the televisions, computers, radios, cell phones, among others. The man in the trench coat commented this while new thugs appeared in the city. They used heavy weapons and their characteristic sign was that they all wore pumpkin masks to hide their identities. They committed acts of vandalism and disturbances of the peace such as setting fire to vehicles and shooting at random.

The new chaos didn't stop. Green Goblin flew near the city's prisons and used his pumpkin bombs and hovercraft missiles to destroy some walls to cause riots and breakouts. Unfortunately, among the escapees were dangerous villains like Rhino, Vulture and Electro. They appeared to cause havoc in the city alongside the new criminals. And in all this chaos, where is Spider-Guppy? Well, the answer is this. Our hero ended up buried under the rubble. Knocked down and without much strength. However, someone who was in the rubble was able to help him get out of the smaller rubble.
"Spider-Guppy….Spider-Guppy….Wake up…"
"Ughhh…Hmmm…Aghhh…." Our hero opened his eyes and realized that someone was bandaging his wounds. It may not have been the best bandage, but in these conditions it was the best.
"How lucky you are that you opened your eyes. I tried to revive you many times" It was Captain Stacey, who was injured like him.
"Hmmm ughhh….I just hope you didn't try mouth-to-mouth resuscitation" Spider-Guppy said funnily despite he's hurt.
"You still haven't lost your sense of humor even in this dangerous situation?" Captain Stacey asked him.
"Heh. What can I say, Captain? It's my way of facing problems...with a smile...Well, if only you could see under the mask" Spider-Guppy joked a bit.
"Well….I admit you know how to lift people's spirits and hopes. I included...cough cough..." He started to cough a little from the smoke left by the explosions.
"Are you okay, captain?" Spider-Guppy asked worriedly.
"I'm fine...cough cough...Not all of us have super-stamina...I think...cough cough...I think I have internal bleeding" Captain Stacey said weakly.
"It can't be. I have to get you out of here" The masked hero said seriously.

He carried Captain Stacey in his arms, who was weak and required immediate medical assistance. He handed him over to the paramedics to do the job. Unfortunately, the other SWAT officers who were with them were either hospitalized or dead on the spot. And the fate of the mob bosses seems to be uncertain. The media wanted to ask Spider-Guppy, but he noticed that Molly had left recorded messages minutes ago. Desperately asking about him, she was almost in tears. The last message told him that if he was still alive, they should meet at the secret lab where they worked. Gil understood that and decided to leave.
He swung quickly through the city using his webs, noticing the disaster caused by the gang war. And it seems that things were going badly. Because although the war was over, new criminals recruited by Big Man appeared and now faced directly against the police and the remaining gangs. Many men from the past gangs joined Big Man. Although Spider-Guppy wanted to confront them, he decided to return to the laboratory where Molly was surely waiting for him anxiously. And indeed, that is what he did. He entered the secret laboratory hidden in an abandoned property. That place was where he improved his technological equipment. When he entered, he noticed that someone was waiting for him.

"It's me, Molly" Our hero took off his mask to reveal that he was her boyfriend. She quickly approached him and hugged him tightly and began to sob.
"G-G-GILLY! You're alive! That Big Man said that the Green Goblin killed you. I was so scared" She confessed with tears.
"The Green Goblin will have to try harder than that to break me...Although...Hey...Could you let me go? My body hurts" Gil asked with some pain.
"Wops! I'm sorry" She apologized and she broke the hug.
"Ugh…Yeah…That hurt…" Gil Parker complained a bit.

"Looks like things just got worse out there. Big Man has unleashed chaos on the city. See, it's not just gangsters with guns: Rhino, Vulture, and Electro are on the loose. Looks like the Green Goblin set them free" Molly explained the situation, showing her cellphone at him.
"This worries me. Big Man planned this from the start. He had the Hammerhead, Tombstone, and Silvermane gangs fight each other. He brought them together in one place with me. And he blew the place up using the Green Goblin to take us out. Big Man wanted control of crime from the start. And now, Green Goblin is with him. And it seems Rhino, Vulture, and Electro are in the same boat. This all sounds chaotic" Gil added this new data.
"Gilly, do you remember our investigation into Big Man? Looks like we got something right. Oscorp is involved. I noticed that the bomb that was planted on the train wasn't a traditional bomb. "BWAHAHAHA! This is so fun! Without Spider-Guppy, there is no one to get in my way" Rhino said while causing problems. Spider-Guppy landed on a roof and left his partner safe.
"Maybe you should verify the news sources the next time, rhinoceros face" Spider-Guppy appeared to stop him.
"Grrrr! Spider-Guppy! You're alive! Well, this is better for me. I can crush you with my own hands now!" Rhino said excitedly. He ran quickly to ram him with his horn and his great strength. Our hero had already experienced him, so he limited him to dodge and shoot electrical webs to start weakening him.
"You are running out of tricks, Rhino. Although I would like to fight more with you, I must do something more important" Spider-Guppy said.
"The only way to get out of this is dead! Grrrrrraaaghhhhhh!" Rhino started to attack intensively. Spider-Guppy was starting to get tired.
"Gilly, we don't have time ... we must go quickly to the OSCORP tower. We must stop Rhino in some way" Molly said with the communicator.

"Black Cat" Molly rolled her eyes.

He simply saw that remembering both and wondering where they would be.

"AAAAARRRGGGGG!" He screamed in rage. He quickly followed her, ready to finish her off. However, when he used his tail to stab her, she managed to dodge the tip of the stinger in an epic way and it ended up stabbing the source of the electric current, causing a large electrocution "GRUAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Scorpion screams in pain and falls unconscious and defeated. She managed to stop this supervillain.
"Wow! I-I-I can't believe this. I could ... .defeat a supervillain on my own! I want to tell Gilly about this!" She said proudly until she remembered "Oh no! Gilly!" Molly remembered that her boyfriend was in big trouble right now.
In broad daylight, the battle had begun! Spider-Guppy vs. Green Goblin! The hero swung through the city on his webs while dodging the supervillain's ranged attacks. Which included: Pumpkin Bombs, Flying and Spinning Blades, missiles and bullets fired by the glider! All of these caused damage to structures along the way. Spider-Guppy didn't know where to take Green Goblin. But before he could react in time, Norman threw a pumpkin bomb at him and it exploded on his back, sending him flying into a dilapidated and abandoned building. Spider-Guppy landed hard and was weak from the explosion, but not before seeing the villain appear in his face.
"Misery! Misery! Misery! That was all you decided! I offered you my friendship...AND YOU SPIT IN MY FACE!" Green Goblin shouted before he punched Gil's stomach.
"Aghhhh!" Spider-Guppy screamed in pain and he began to hit mercilessly with his bare hands and kicks to the point that his mask partially broke.
"You're not the only one who enjoys power, Parker! Looks like Connors' experiments were an excellent basis for my own serum. Of course, I wouldn't be as stupid as him. I genetically modified a few details to prevent myself from turning into a reptilian monster. I perfected it to transform it into the Goblin serum! And look at the result!" The Green Goblin said as he continued to hit him mercilessly. Spider-Guppy tried to stay standing trying to withstand the blows.
"Grrrrrr!" He tried to defend himself, but Norman kicked him. Gil was on the ground and trying to get up.
"This will be the last time anyone tries to play the hero. If you hadn't been so selfish, we could have done things better. But since you've made me so angry, I'm going to finish off the ones you care about. I won't kill you, but I'll leave you so injured that you won't be able to move. And all so you can watch me slowly and sadistically murder the people you love. I can start with your old and weak Aunt May, then maybe some of your dumb teenage friends, or why not start with your little girlfriend? HAHAHA! Oh yeah!" Green Goblin said with madness. That made Spider-Guppy angry. Our hero found strength where he didn't have any and started beating him up. Defending himself from the Green Goblin's blows. Our hero started beating him up non-stop until he ripped off the Green Goblin's mask and revealed Norman's face and hit him again!
"You're done for, Norman! Let me help you. That serum...it's what's driven you crazy. Please, give up...If you care about your son, do it. He doesn't deserve to lose a father, just like I lost mine" Gil tried to convince him, remembering his Uncle Ben.
"Oh no, I'm not stopping. Especially when you know too much! Goodbye, Spider-Guppy!" Norman made his final move. He activated two pumpkin bombs and threw them at our hero. Spider-Guppy used his webs to catch the bombs and threw them back at him, exploding in the Green Goblin's face. He was badly injured, but tried to get back on his glider to escape.
"You will never escape the law again!" Spider-Guppy shot an electric web to disable the Green Goblin's glider.
"Hahaha! Then you will go with me!" Green Goblin shouted before pressing a button on the glider that caused all the pumpkin bombs and explosives to activate at the same time.
"NORMAN, NOO!" Gil shouted before…..
"HAHAHAHAHA!"
BOOOOOMMMMMMMM!
The chain reaction exploded and sent Spider-Guppy flying, who decided to flee from the shockwave while he saw how the entire building collapsed and unfortunately, Norman Osborn fell by his own hand. Our hero saw how his best friend's father turned out to be a villain and ended his own life trying to kill him. Spider-Guppy could only look down and closed his eyes in mourning. No one imagined that this would be the secret and also the end of Norman Osborn.
Within hours, the remaining villains had been captured by the police thanks to the work of Spider-Guppy, Black Cat and Sandman. And the criminals were recaptured once again. Order was restored, but there was much work to be done to repair the damage. Although everything seemed to be looking up, it was time for mourning. A funeral was prepared in memory of Norman Osborn. It was discovered that he exploded. Although we know the truth, the press showed few details of Norman's truth. Many people dressed in black for the occasion and to show their condolences. We see how Goby was standing in front of his own father's gravestone. His girlfriend Deema and some of his friends from school: Gil, Molly, Oona, Zooli and Dash were present, comforting their friend. At the moment we only care when Gil spoke to his best friend.
"Goby…I'm really sorry...I know how it feels to lose a father...Uncle Ben was like a father to me…" Gil tried to comfort him.
"(sigh) My father was sick...I can't believe he was the Green Goblin..." Goby said quietly.
"It wasn't his fault...He got sick because of that serum" Gil tried to not show him that his father was evil.
"That substance made his mind sick... I just wonder: Why didn't Spider-Guppy help him like the others? He simply didn't see a better solution than... ending his life? (sigh) But this won't stay like this. I swear on his grave that Spider-Guppy will pay for what he did" Goby said seriously and with hate. Gil became worried when he heard Goby's hateful words towards him (since he is Spider-Guppy). Goby simply saw Gil "Thank you for being here...even though we've had our problems...You really...You really are my best friend" Goby hugged Gil for comfort. Our hero had to pretend to be okay, because a part of guilt began to eat him up inside. They both separated. Goby looked for Deema. They hugged each other and together they decided to visit Deema's father, Captain Stacey, who was still in the hospital. Gil met up with Molly and they talked for a moment alone.
"(sigh) We won, but at what cost? Did you publish Norman's secret?" Gil asked his girlfriend.
"I didn't. I don't think it's ethical to tarnish the name of a person who just passed away. I'm sure it was other journalists (sigh) I feel very sorry for Goby" Molly said sadly.
"I know. At least the terror is over. The gangs involved in the war were stopped. The supervillains were locked up again. And the Green Goblin is gone...forever" Gil said silently. Molly simply took his hand and they walked home together in silence. Although they had stopped the threat of Big Man, it seemed that there was still a lot to do. How to deal with possible consequences of these events.
I'm back! This Green Goblin scared me a lot. Didn't he? Well, the point is that I'm back and it seems like this is the first time we've seen a villain die, isn't it?

Regarding episode 26: It was an episode with a certain horror atmosphere and I'm glad that you liked that detail. It was funny to see Molly and Gil's reactions when she saw him change clothes. And I can assure you that Gil and Goby's friendship begins to deteriorate little by little. With episode 27: The War of the Gangs was very intense. And well, I always wanted to adapt the scene of Spider-man stopping the train, I just looked for the ideal episode for that. It's sad how this episode Spider-Guppy couldn't save everyone. And everything gets worse with the arrival of Big Man and Green Goblin (although we already saw that before).

On the outskirts of the city, we can see two boys walking around. It seems that they found a mysterious secret hideout filled with technology. It looked like an advanced bunker.
"I saved you by the skin of my teeth, Gargan... I thought they would capture you" It was Shocker.
"It was a surprise that that girl could defeat me. I was overconfident" Scorpion was there. His comrade Shocker saved him from ending up in prison again.
"It was really pathetic. But if it weren't for our boss, I would have let you get arrested" Shocker said.
"Our boss? Norman Osborn? He died!" Scorpion expressed.
"So everyone thinks Norman Osborn is dead. That's perfect" In front of them appeared a lobster woman in a secretary's suit with brown eyes and brown short hair.
"Who are you supposed to be?" Scorpion asked her.
"It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is that our boss is here" The woman pointed to a very creepy place. It was a hospital room where we see a guppy man with his body completely burned with parts of the green armor on his body and breathing with difficulty and connected to a life support system where the machine that shows his heart rate is still beeping.
