I'd Have Preferred a Sex Dungeon

The quickest way for him to flee this hell is by stealing that tape and destroying all its copies. Obviously. He knows it's not going to be an easy feat. For starters, he doesn't even know where to look, but Tyson would rather risk his neck and find that tape instead of spending another 300+ days with Satan's master.

He should start with Julia. Try and get her to talk about the parties at the Blitzkrieg house and the wild shit they get up to. She probably has lots of fun stories to share and since she's been feeling guilty and pity for Tyson there is a good chance she would be willing to share them with him.

She's trying to be his friend after all.

Two fingers snap in front of his eyes, breaking him out of his thoughts. Hilary is standing next to the cafe table, looking down at him and smiling. "What? Are the waffles hard or something?"

"No, they're perfect," he says as she reaches for the fork on his plate and tries a bite.

"Mmm" she hums appreciatively, frowning. "They're really good."

Tyson grins, scooting over so she can sit beside him.

"Did you hear?" Hilary says to him, helping herself to a spoonful of yoghurt. "Rei and Mariah had a huge fight in front of the fountain last night."

He did not. "They had a fight?" he asks, concerned. "I mean, Rei did mention that he was having problems with Mariah but that was yesterday morning."

"Well, they had a screaming match after her shift at the campus newspaper office. A few people overheard. They were lucky it was late and most of the campus had gone home or everyone would have been talking about it today and made it awkward for them."

"How did you find out?"

"It's been 17 years, Tyson, and you're still asking me this dumb question?"

He rolls his eyes heavenward. "What were they fighting about?"

"Not 100% sure but sources say that he was the guilty party. Mariah seemed upset at him for not meeting with her parents. It's unclear if they've never met or-"

"They've never met," says Tyson recalling one of Rei's drunken whinings. "He thinks it's too soon. They've only been dating for like six…seven months?"

"You're keeping track?" Hilary chews knowingly looking at him.

"No. I just did some math in my head. Why does everyone think that?" He picks up his fork and eats some of his waffle. When he glances at her again she's still looking. "I'm not obsessed."

"Right. You know who is obsessed? That first year math major with the pink hair. She finds a new way to embarrass herself over Kai daily. She left a whole basket full of handwritten love notes on his car the other day and he threw it in the bin without a glance. She's been wailing on the stairs like a heroine since. Something needs to be done."

"Oh boy" He feels bad for the girl, and so he decides to talk to her after his classes today. He's pretty sure he'll find her on the stairs, the same ones Kai usually takes to his afternoon lectures.

"He's not worth it, you know," he says, looking down at the girl sitting on the last step with a red nose and a wad of tissues in her hand.

The reply is unexpectedly hostile. "Oh fuck off, Granger. What do you know about Kai?"

"As someone who spends around 15 hours of his day attending to each and every whim of your crush I think I am pretty qualified to say that he's an absolute piece of shit."

She stops crying to look up at him with bloodshot but skeptical eyes. "You spend 15 hours of your day with him?" He nods affirmatively. "And you still don't understand him even a little? Wow, you really suck at reading people."

He's momentarily taken aback, but he regroups quickly. "Or may be you're reading between the lines where there is nothing to be read. The actions of a person defines the person, and Kai's actions say he's a prick."

"You're a prick," she strikes back, taking offense on behalf of Kai. "I know what your problem is." She stands up and gets in his face. "You're jealous because no one wants you and your girlfriends keep dumping you while Kai has hundreds of girls chasing after him." She looks at him like she's confident she has clocked his tea. And she might have. A little bit. A part of him is jealous of Kai. A lot jealous. But he's not trying to help this girl because of that. He's just trying to save her from heartbreak because he knows Kai is a shitty person.

He's not doing it for himself but the girl is convinced he is.

"You know I'm glad you're aware you're not the only one." She frowns as he speaks, wondering what his angle is. There's no angle. He just wants to boost her confidence a bit. "And may be to him you're all the same but you're still special."

"Ugh, you suck, Granger." She stomps away, disgusted, slamming her shoulder into his with annoyance.

That did not go well but at least he got her off the stairs before Satan descended. Speaking of Satan, he appears just as Tyson's about to follow the girl to the next floor. He's with Tala and Bryan on either side of him.

Tyson attempts to spin on his heel and skedaddle before his presence is registered but a sharp and cool "Granger" stops him in his tracks.

Oh man, he's stuck again.

Tyson turns around reluctantly with a forced smile on his face.

"Hiya Jules"

"Hey" She smiles warmly as they fall in step.

"How was your day?" he asks as they walk together, the sun disappearing behind the campus buildings.

"Oh, same as ever." Then her eyes light up with something. "I just remembered. I have this thing today with a few of my girlfriends." She touches his arm apologetically. "I'd love to stay and chat, Ty, but I'm already a little late."

"It's alright" says Tyson. "I'll catch you another time."

"Alright. Bye." She blows him a kiss.

He sighs.

Prying information out of Julia turns out to be harder than expected. For one, she's a terribly busy person. And two, whenever he does manage to talk to her she has a tendency to ramble and go off on tangents.

It's fruitless. He spends a few days endeavoring to get something useful out of Julia but all he gets is a load of anecdotes about her previous escapades with the Blitzkriegs. All hilarious and entertaining but nothing to aid him in his search for the tape.

He brought up the subject of photos and videos of their experiences together and she took that as a cue to show him some.

Julia is with Tyson in the hall showing him a photo of Kai with seaweed covering his face and giggling at it when Kai finds them. He knows that Tyson and Julia has been talking and he doesn't seem all that pleased about it.

"He was so scared. He thought it was a jellyfish and that it would sting him," says Julia, laughing.

"I was 5," defends Kai, fastening his tie. That's right. Julia is showing him baby pictures of the gang. She started with pictures of them in college at parties, then she found one that made her double over in laughter and started hunting for more hilarious ones.

Kai is going out to meet his father's aide whom the Blitzkriegs call 'Drac'. Ironic name considering that Kai is a bloodsucker too.

"It's still funny," retorts Julia, chortling, making Kai roll his eyes. "Will you be back soon?"

"Yes. If I spend a second longer than I need to I might strangle him."

Comforting

Tyson watches him go with distaste. Julia wishes him safety.

He waves at her once over his shoulder without turning back before disappearing down the corridor.

They have an interesting relationship.

That's it. He's going to have to search the house. There's no other way. He'll have to search Kai's bedroom, the upper floors, his laptop. His phones. His fucking phones.

He has so many.

The tape has to be in one of these places or things. It has to be.

And if there are copies? He'll dispose of them. All of them.

God help Tyson.

Kai's rarely in the house during midday. He usually has classes around that time. Tyson does too but if he skips his there's a good chance that he could find the Blitzkrieg house empty at that time.

Now he just has to get a spare key from Kai to get something from the house and "forget" to give the key back to him. And pray that Kai forgets to ask for it to be returned too. Then skip a class without Kai knowing about it somehow (he's omnipresent) and go to the house and search the upper floor.

The reason he is choosing the second floor as his first target is because they have forbidden guests from accessing it. So obviously Tyson has to check it out. See what they are hiding there. Who knows what he would find. Drugs? Slaves? A sex dungeon?

He manages to finesse the key from Kai. That was actually the easy part because Kai asks him to get stuff from the house all the time so the spare key finds its way into Tyson's hand the same night Kai meets with Drac.

Kai doesn't ask for it till the next evening either which means Tyson has the house key the whole morning.

He skips one of his lectures while Kai is in class and heads to the Blitzkrieg's, feeling like a criminal.

He walks there, sweating profusely for some reason (he's just not cut out for a life of crime) and sticks the key in the lock, heart beating recklessly.

The door opens inwards soundlessly to a quiet and empty space. Tyson gulps and enters, closing the door behind him and carefully locking it so no one walks in on him.

Then he dashes towards the staircase and takes the steps two at a time. A tastefully furnished area greets him as he reaches the second floor. The space is even cozy with carpets and bean bags and a tv and a gaming console.

He decides to try the closed rooms. There are two of them. He passes by a gym as he approaches the first room and turns the handle. It opens to what looks like a guest bedroom, with no personal effects and an impartial décor. He closes it and heads towards the second door, a weird feeling creeping up on him as he nears it.

The elevator is right next to this room. It's almost a little too convenient. Like it was installed that way for easy access to that particular bedroom. Tyson hesitates for a second before opening the door then pushes it ajar.

At a glance it's a normal bedroom. Not a drug lord's lair or a sex dungeon. Nothing freaky going on. But then you notice things, like how the room seems lived in. Cosy. The cream walls and thin white curtains with thick brown drapes pulled aside. The bonsai on the sill. The bed in the middle that's unlike the other beds in the house, less modern, more traditional. The stand of an IV dispenser next to that bed. The wheelchair beside it. The faint smell of medicine and sickness.

It's somehow worse than what he'd expected. Tyson pulls the door closed, and stands there for a minute, his fingers on the handle, trembling lightly.

A/N: Dont worry, I'll upload another chapter soon and we'll have more Kai/Tyson interactions in it. It will definitely be longer too. See you soon. Happy Reading!
