A few days later, the girl still hasn't left.

When Mama Bear tried to make her more porridge, she would refuse to eat unless it was the same as Baby Bear liked.

Surprisingly, she also loved to color, which Baby Bear would fight her over.

Only to get a slap in the face.

However, tonight, lightning made Mama Bear growl as she tried to get under the sheets, hoping the sound would go away.

It didn't work.

Sobbing came from Baby's bed.

Of course, they had Baby sleep in the rug by their fireplace, which he wasn't happy about.

So the only one in his bed would be the girl.

Mama Bear stood up, and her heart sank as she saw the girl crying in her sleep, holding the book (which she never stopped holding) tightly.

She turned to her husband, and wasn't surprised when she saw him snoring despite the thunder, and she knew Baby was doing the same thing too.

Sighing, Mama Bear rubbed the girl's hair (gently to not scare her), and whispered softly, "Don't worry, precious, i'm right here."

It was the end.

It clearly was.

It might as well have been, Elizabeth thought. She was hiding behind a rock, her favorite book-a collection of FAIRYTALES-while her Mom and Dad were inside the cave, and from there, came screams.

Sceams of agony.

Finally, thankfully, they stopped.

Elizabeth gulped. It stopped...so why weren't her parents coming out?

A whistle was heard...

Something finally came out.

A bear.

A black, scarred, red-eyed bear.

And was rushing straight towards her!

Instinctly, Elizabeth runned away, the book dropped, but she didn't hesitate to grab it and keep going.

She didn't know how long she cried, she didn't know how long it took before she finally forced herself to stop and gasp for air which her lungs pleaded for.

A shadow stood in front of her.

Looking up, she saw the bear.

Who's mouth reached down to her level...

Making a small shriek, Elizabeth stoop up.

The bear was right here!!!

Wait...

No, it was the lightest bear of the three-which she named Nice Bear- who was starring at her with warm, concerned eyes.

Thunder sounded.

Closing her eyes with a flinch, Elizabeth looked down at the sheets, wanting to escape the dark world.

It was obvious the human cub was still terrified to death, so Mama Bear thought hard about what to do next-and brightened at a idea.

She began to, very gently, remove the book from the girl's hands. She hesitated and whimpered a bit, but sighed and removed her hand from it.

"Ooh, interesting." Mama Bear said in a serious and happy tone to cheer up the girl. "You never really read, but I can tell it's special to you, so why don't you let me read you one?"

She turned to the Table of Contents and gave it back to the girl to let her choose with story she would like.

At once, the girl's eyes left the fright behind and was replaced in stead by wonder and comfort from the book. She smiled and headed towards a random page.

She turned towards her favorite story and her heart sank again as she saw a mother and father, and in between them, their daughter. It reminded her too much of her family...

"You know what? Let me try suggesting one for you." Mama Bear offered, she turned towards the first page-but was stopped by the girl, who shook her head and went back to the page with the picture of the small family.

"Oh, you want that story? It's not one of the most well known, but here I go."

"Once Upon of Time, there was..."

Elizabeth giggled as Nice Bear grabbed the book and roared softly, almost making her forget about the threating thunder storm.

Closing her eyes and yawning, she went back to sleep...

...trying to process each roar...

...and with a smile in her lips this time.

Mama Bear looked up from the book as she noticed the girl's eyes closing again, and soon enough, she went back to sleep with a pure smile.

Her heart melted.

Eyes began to moist.

This was just too precious.

Smiling, she still gladly read the rest of the book.

And for the rest of the night, Elizabeth dreamed only of the most wonderful fairytales.

A/N: I'm planning another Goldilocks story taking place after the film. And another story which will focus on Death befriending a familiar red-hooded girl.
