I have so many thoughts and ideas, I love this.

Orryn did not cringe when his precession met his Uncle, the King, as they made their way to Winterfell. The man looked at him with a cold, bored expression, something just barely more than curiousity in his eyes. It didn't matter that the man seemed wider than a bear and just a thick, his face deep and red and reeking of drink. He was a digusting wretch.

"You are Renly's heir?" He looked him over. "You're short, shorter than Renly, but strong. You use a sword?"

"And a hammer, and a bow, and a spear. I was taught it all, my King." He bowed his head low from his position on his nameless horse.

The man made a gruff sound from his throat, then smiled. "Good, as a man should... now come, boy, come we have hours to kill until it is time to camp."

And off they went, for hours and hours, until the king was wheezing from exhaustion and had to be helped off his horse. It was pathetic as he was.

The wagon behind them, carrying the Queen and her children he guessed, slowly opened revealing said stunning Queen. She was tall, graceful oozing a potent cold power, like a goddess of old. Dressed in gold and red, she turned to look at him with something akin to a sneer.

"Renly's... heir?"

He bowed. "Orryn Baratheon, My Lady." It took considerable effort to not say M'Lady, his training was strong enough to kick that habit. Barely..." It is an honor to meet you."

She nodded, accepting his words. "Pleasure..." And then her children emerged, first Prince Joffery, who looked like an ugly dog with his nasty sneer. Then the two younger royals, his cousins Myrcella and Tommen. Their eyes were warm and open, something no other showed him.

"Orynn!" Tommen said, barreling over with Myrcella. "Father said you were to join us, our cousin. We were so excited to meet you, another member of our family!"

Myrcella giggled. "You look so much like father and Uncle Renly."

Orryn could not help the smile to broke across his face at her giggle, at Tommen's excitement. He had never had siblings, nor family beyond his mother and his cold upbringing at Storm's End... and growing up, not seeing these two shining faces felt almost a crime all it's own. "Hello, little Cousins. How are you this day?"

They both beamed and Myrcella spoke up first. "Good, excited to see the North."

"Yes, lovely country." Queen Cersei muttered, almost as a mantra. "Children, come to the tent."

Desperation to drink in more of their light, Orryn raised a hand. "Dear Aunt, would you allow me the chance to dine with your family tonight? I was so looking forward to seeing, getting to know my cousins."

She froze, the Queen, and looked at him with confusion. However, before she could say a word, the King snorted. "Just let him, best allow him a chance to be a part of his family before the brats are all married off. Gods know I have no love for my brothers, lets not rob them of that love."

Cersei sighed. "Fine, come."

And off they went with the kids grabbing his hands. "Can you really fight well?" Tommen asked.

"Yes, my mentors so."

Joffery snorted, looking the role of the pig. "So says a bastard."

"Former bastard, cousin... I was legitimized." He kept his own tone cool, void of the urge to beat his cousin for his attitude. He turned to the sweet children holding his hands. "Let's enjoy a lovely meal and perhaps get to know each other. I have wanted to meet you all for years, to see the kind of kin I have."

Cersei wanted to scream, looking at the kindly eyes of Robert in the form of Orryn holding her children fast. 'Can I allow him, allow myself to trust him? I need to... I need to be sure. Less I allow more pain in my life, another person to kill.'

And yet, as she looked at him, she could not help but hope that he was as kind as his simple acts are showing him to be...
