bopdog111: Their now on their way to Whiterun.

Ulrich362: True, in order to hopefully meet with this Argonian that Hod told them about.

bopdog111: And one otherthing none of the Undertale will be Dragonborn so don't get your hopes up about that.

Ulrich362: Exactly, with that said... enjoy the chapter.

While they were walking to Whiterun, Sans, and Frisk were talking to themselves about her, Asriel, and Chara's situation including the destruction of the RESET Button.

"...so now, with the RESET Button gone... Nothing is gonna take this away from us anymore." Frisk said to him.

"that's true, you're really one of a kind." Sans nodded before sighing. "still, are you going to be alright without that power?"

"Yeah. Our time in Mt Ebott, had been taken away so many times... Now it's not happening anymore." Frisk answered.

Sans only nodded with a smile. "that's true."

They kept walking before Frisk widen her eyes ahead, "Uh oh..."

"What is it Frisk?" Toriel asked her.

"Thalmor."

They looked where they see bright yellow skinned people wearing black robes, and green thin armor with one holding a torch with what looks like a human prisoner with them walking before they noticed them before the black robed elf glared, "Your interfering with Official Thalmor Business. Get out of the way."

"We're just walking, how is that interfering?" Undyne questioned.

"I said get out of the way fish. Your interfering with Official Thalmor Business. Unless... your also Talos Worshippers?" the hooded Thalmor Wizard asked as the Thalmor Warrior holding the torch reached grabbing an Elven Sword as a way of warning them.

"WHO IS TALOS?" Papyrus asked hearing that.

That surprised the Thalmor, and the Prisoner. Before more can be said the Thalmor holding the torch was shot by an arrow, "AAAHH!"

They looked as the shot Thalmor collapsed before Asgore senses something, and looked seeing a horse riding it before the rider jumped as the horse turned away. He jumped over them grabbing something before moved attacking. The hooded Thalmor went to attack only for the assailant to slash down slicing off her arm rewarding him a scream as she hold her severed arm.

The second Thalmor Soldier reached calling, "Bound Sword!" A purple energy sword appeared as he attacked but the assailant blocked the attack as they fight before the assailant disarmed the Thalmor, and then decapitated him as he dropped down. He sighed before undoing the bindings on the Prisoner handing him a sack, and a Elven Sword. "Take these, and go. Stay off their trail."

"Right." the prisoner smiled nodding before running off.

Hearing something the assailant looked seeing the hooded Thalmor reaching to attack with a spell but he ducked, and impaled his sword through the chest as she gasped stumbling before collapsing. Noticing the shot Thalmor is still alive trying to crawl away with coughing up blood he walked, and placed his foot on his neck as he gasped for breath reaching up only for the assailant to stomped down as the Thalmor choked before his arm fell limp dead.

"What just happened?" Asgore questioned. "Who are you?"

The assailant turned over showing itself as a lizard man with red, and green scales with green hair, and horns wearing furred like armor holding a sword made of Steel, "What I just done is rescue you all from what the Thalmor are doing." He then starts looting the corpses of Gold, Gems, and other things looking over.

"You're... Argonian!" Frisk cried. "Did you talk with Hod and Gerdur in Riverwood?"

He looked over hearing that, "You know them?"

"They... they were my family friends." Frisk answered.

Hearing that he nodded before saying, "Well you'd be correct. Did Hod tell you to find me?"

"Yes, he did." Asgore nodded. "We can explain as we walk."

"Alright. We better move, if these Thalmor Scouts haven't reported in they would investigate where they are." the Argonian said to them. "If they haven't already. The point is we need to head out before more comes."

"Right, let's keep going." Undyne mentioned.

They walked out together before the Argonian said to them, "Name's Jin-Noyei by the way. But call me Jin."

"The pleasure is mine." Asgore smiled. "My name is Asgore Dreemurr, this is my wi... ex-wife Toriel, our son Asgore, adopted daughters Chara and Frisk, the tall skeleton is Papyrus and his older brother is Sans, Undyne is the captain of my royal guard, Alphys is our royal scientist, and the robot with her is Mettaton."

"Royal Guard... Royal Scientist?" Jin asked hearing that, "What's a Scientist?"

"Oh, well..." Alphys started before trying to explain it to him.

"Okay you know what... I don't want to know." Jin brushed off, "But this Royal stuff... does that mean your of Royalty, Asgore?"

"I am, I'm the king of Monsterkind... we only recently were set free from the barrier keeping us trapped under Mt. Ebott." Asgore nodded.

"I see." Jin nodded hearing that, "Well like I said before, I rescued you from whatever the Thalmor are doing. Divines knows those damn elves are always up to something." He shrugs at this.

"YOU DON'T LIKE THEM?" Papyrus asked.

"No." Jin answered at that, "Didn't someone tell you about their deeds from the Great War?"

"Uh, I did..." Frisk admitted to that, "The Thalmor are the Aldmeri Dominion's top agents."

"Do you think they were involved in what happened to Helgan?" Asriel asked as Toriel gently took Frisk's hand.

Frisk looked down at this not sure before Jin answered saying, "I'm not sure. They were involved in that ambush that captured Ulfric to Helgan, but I don't know if that Dragon was there grand scheme of things."

"All we can do is wait and see what happens." Asgore admitted.

"Indeed." Jin nodded before noticing something, and growled, "Ah hell."

They looked seeing something was in a farmland fighting some warriors. Frisk recognized it, "A Giant."

Seeing it Undyne ran ahead forming a spear as she threw it at the Giant. The spear caught it's side before the giant turned roaring charging forward raising it's club to smack down which Undyne dodged then ran up it's arm kicking it at the face which made it stumble back before Undyne called, "Get him Paps!"

"RIGHT!" Papyrus fired a barrage of bones striking the Giant in several places while Undyne strikes it's leg forcing it down a knee before Paps called, "SANS, YOUR CHANCE TO FINISH IT!"

Sans just shrugged at that causing Undyne to glare at him before stabbing the giant through the head killing it.

"HUMANS, ARE YOU ALL SAFE?" Papyrus asked the warriors.

The male with a large sword shrugged, "We were doing fine without you all doing anything."

"Ignore the pea-bean. You all handled yourselves pretty well." a woman that has on a hide like harness said before looking at Sans, "...most of you."

"you guys looked like you were ok." Sans shrugged.

"Well you all look like you will be decent Shield-Brothers." the woman shrugged at this.

Jin confused asked hearing that, "Shield-Brothers? What do you mean by that?"

"Band of outsiders, eh? Never heard of the Companions?" the woman asked hearing that before explaining, "An order of warriors. We are brothers and sisters in honor. And we show up to solve problems if the coin is good enough."

"Mercenaries for hire." Chara frowned. "You just go and kill for anyone who'll pay you?"

"That's basically it, or we just rough up people to make them learn their place." the woman answered.

"Are their any spots open?" Jin asked.

The woman shook her head, "Not for me to say." She then explained, "You'll have to talk to Kodlak Whitemane up in Jorrvaskr. The old man's got a good sense for people. He can look in your eyes and tell your worth. If you go to him, good luck."

"WE MAY SPEAK TO HIM, THANK YOU VERY MUCH." Papyrus mentioned calmly.

"First time, I met a Skeleton that doesn't try to kill you for once." the woman said seeing him, "But I suppose anything can happen where in Skyrim. Well we wish you luck."

The warriors waved before they walked off.

"By the way Jin, why are you going to... Whiterun exactly?" Toriel inquired. "Hod didn't tell us."

Jin looked to her before saying, "Informing the Jarl, that Riverwood is in danger in case of a Dragon Attack. Helgan is close to Riverwood so it's possible that a dragon might attack there next."

"Please, let us go with you." Frisk requested. "Helgan was my home."

"It was? I never seen you in Helgan." Jin said hearing that.

Frisk looked down, "I... wasn't there when it happened."

"Well consider yourself lucky. Me, and Ralof barely gotten out of there, we don't know if anyone else gotten out but he's pretty convinced if Ulfric escaped." Jin told them at this, "But whatever the case, since we're all basically at the same boat, I see no reason why you shouldn't tag along. But just remember, I will lead us all through whatever Skyrim has to throw."

They all nodded at that following Jin up to the gates of Whiterun.

When they arrived at the gate a Guard walked before saying to them, "Halt!" They looked to him as he stated, "City's closed with the dragons about. Official business only."

"We're here for the aid of Riverwood in case a Dragon attacks there next." Jin said to him.

"Riverwood's in trouble? You better head to Dragonsreach at the top of the hill, and inform this to the Jarl." the Guard said to him before letting them in, "And make sure all of them be on their best behavior." He said this to all the monsters with Jin who only nodded.

Chara frowned and clenched her fists seeing how her friends and family were being treated.

"Idiots." she muttered under her breath.

They all entered where they see a man wearing the same armor as Jin was talking to a dark skinned woman, "We'll pay whatever it takes. But we must have more swords for the Imperial soldiers."

The woman only pointed out, "I just can't fill an order that size on my own." She then suggested, "Why don't you swallow that stubborn pride of yours and ask Eorlund Gray-Mane for help?"

The man only scoffed, "Ha! I'd sooner bend my knee to Ulfric Stormcloak. Besides, Gray-Mane would never make steel for the Legion."

"Have it your way." the woman sighed in exasperation before saying, "I'll take the job, but don't expect a miracle."

The man walked off with the woman sighing loud really irritated rubbing her head.

"Is... is everything ok?" Alphys asked her.

The woman looked to her before saying, "No it's not... I don't claim to be the best blacksmith in Whiterun. Eorlund Gray-Mane's got that honor. The man's steel is legendary. All I ask is a fair chance... But to have me take an order of 30 Steel Weaponry for the Imperial Legion... That's a bit much on my plate, I don't get why those Battle-Borns won't talk to the Gray-Manes for aid."

"does it have to do with this war we heard about?" Sans inquired. "they must really have you working yourself... to the bone."

"What do you think? This war started cause of that damn treaty." the woman sighed before pausing looking at him, "Wait a sec... are you a real skeleton? Not a mindless dead servant who wants to murder anyone who enters the Nordic Tombs?"

"THIS IS MY BROTHER SANS, AND I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS!" Papyrus answered. "I APOLOGIZE FOR HIS INCESSANT PUNS!"

The woman looked blinking which Jin said shaking his head, "ANYWAY..." she looked to him which he asked, "Where is Dragonsreach? We have to get there."

"That's the fortress, there, up on the tall hill." the woman said pointing to it.

"Thanks." Jin nodded before telling everyone to follow him up.

"Jin... you sound like you've already taken a side in this war." Asgore noted.

"And what makes you say that?" Jin asked him hearing that.

"The way you've been acting, it sounds like you agree with this Ulfric Stormcloak." Asgore explained. "If I'm understanding the war he opposes the Thalmor and you don't seem to be fond of them either."

Jin sighed before saying, "I will say that Jin-Noyei isn't my real name. It was an alias I made, to distance myself from my true identity."

"Well, hopefully one day we earn your trust enough to tell us what your name really is." Asgore mentioned respectfully.

"I will tell you that I was a Soldier for the Cyrodilic Empire... but not anymore." Jin said to them.

They looked surprised before nodding as they walked into the fortress. They walked up as they heard a conversation, "My lord. Please. You have to listen. I only counsel caution. We cannot afford to act rashly in times like these. If the news from Helgen is true... well, there's no telling what it means."

"What would you have me do, then? Nothing?"

"My lord. Please. This is no time for rash action. I just think we need more information before we act. I just-"

"Who're they then?" one of them asked noticing the approaching crowd.

A female armored dark elf drawn her sword walking over with a stare, "What's the meaning of this interruption? Jarl Balgruuf is not receiving visitors."

"We come with news about the dragon attack at Helgan." Jin told her.

"As housecarl, my job is to deal with all dangers that threaten the Jarl or his people. So you have my attention. Now, explain yourself." the dark elf said less tense but kept her sword drawn.

"Our message is to give to the Jarl."

"Whatever you have to say to the Jarl, you can say to me. I'm starting to think..."

"No, Irileth, let them approach." a kind voice said behind her.

The dark elf Irileth frowned but sheathed her sword, "You all have the Jarl's attention. Approach him at once." She then said to the monsters, "And I expect none of THEM to do anything rash."

"We'll be respectful." Toriel reassured her as they approached the man in his throne.

"What's this about Riverwood being in danger?" the man questioned.

"Helgan was attacked by a Dragon, and we feel the same could be said for Riverwood." Jin explained.

"By Ysmir, Irileth was right!" the man, Balgruuf, said worried. That before he looked over to a balding Imperial man wearing fancy clothing beside him asking, "What do you say now, Proventus? Shall we continue to trust in the strength of our walls? Against a dragon?"

"My lord, we should send troops to Riverwood at once. It's in the most immediate danger, if that dragon is lurking in the mountains..." Irileth suggested to the man.

Proventus protested against this, "The Jarl of Falkreath will view that as a provocation! He'll assume we're preparing to join Ulfric's side and attack him."

"Enough!" Balgruuf called out before ordering, "Irileth, send a detachment to Riverwood at once."

Smiling at this she bowed, "Yes, my Jarl."

"We should not..."

"I'll not stand idly by while a dragon burns my hold and slaughters my people!" Balgruuf argued at Proventus.

Frowning Proventus bowed, "If you'll excuse me, I'll return to my duties."

"That would be best." Balgruuf nodded, and after they left he smiled to them all, "Well done. You all sought me out, on your own initiative. You've done Whiterun a service, and I won't forget it. Here, take this as a small token of my esteem."

He hands an axe to Jin who takes it testing it's weight, and ability nodded. Balgruuf then said to them, "There is another thing you all could do for me. Suitable for someone of your particular talents, perhaps. Come, let's go find Farengar, my court wizard. He's been looking into a matter related to these dragons and... rumors of dragons."

"Well, we sought out Jin... he's the one who came to find you." Frisk admitted.

"Like I said before Little Girl, we're all in the same bout since that dragon attacked." Jin told Frisk who softly nodded.

With that they all walked together as Balgruuf directed to a purple robed man, "Farengar, I think I've found some people who can help you with your dragon project." He gestured to them saying, "Go ahead, and fill them in with all the details."

"So the Jarl thinks you can be of use to me?" Farengar asked looking them over while Balgruuf walked off, "Oh yes, he must be referring to my research into the dragons. Yes, I could use someone to fetch something for me." He then added to them a little sheepish, "Well, when I say fetch, I really mean delve into a dangerous ruin in search of an ancient stone tablet that may or may not actually be there."

"What exactly are we looking for?" Jin inquired.

"Straight to the point, eh? No need for tedious hows and whys. I like that. Leave those details to your betters, am I right?" Farengar asked with a chuckle, "I ah, learned of a certain stone tablet said to be housed in Bleak Falls Barrow - a "Dragonstone," said to contain a map of dragon burial sites. Go to Bleak Falls Barrow, find this tablet - no doubt interred in the main chamber - and bring it to me. Simplicity itself."

"Bleak Falls Barrow?" Jin asked surprised remembering the location.

Farengar thought this means he doesn't know which he explained, "A Nordic Ruin that's down south. Or probably you want to know how to get there. Just head south of here to a miserable little village called Riverwood, and cross the bridge heading north from there." He lead the way with a grin while speaking bad about Riverwood.

Jin frowned at the unneeded explanation, and calling Riverwood miserable but nodded, "Let's be off. The sooner we handle this one, the better."

"Do we have to go?" Asriel asked with a frown. "We just got to see the surface after... who knows how long."

"Several centuries for some of us." Asgore nodded.

"If you prefer to stay back I won't stop you." Jin said to them.

"It's not that it's... we'll explain on the way." Asgore told him. "Just, some long and bad memories."

Jin blinked before just nodding hearing that as the group left.

Ulrich362: Apologies for another short chapter but with Bleak Falls Barrow being the first dungeon... it deserves its own chapter, wouldn't you agree Bopdog?

bopdog111: Yeah it does.

Ulrich362: So... next up will be that, and Jin learning about what happened in the Underground. See you in the next chapter.

bopdog111: Be sure to review!
