bopdog111: We last left off them heading to Bleak Falls Barrow.

Ulrich362: True, and Jin is about to learn about what was going on under Mt. Ebott.

bopdog111: How will he take it?

Ulrich362: Let's find out, enjoy the chapter.

The group was walking back to Riverwood to head to Bleak Falls Barrow.

"How much do you know about the historic war between Humans and Monsters?" Asgore asked before pausing. "Well, I suppose more accurately Monsters, and every other sentient race."

"I know it was taken place during the first era of the Septim Dynasty to where monsters decided to rule the surface as they feel the Septim Emperors endanger their way of life." Jin answered with what he knows.

"Unfortunately that's true." Asgore nodded. "We fought against you all but were rather easily defeated. My people were forced underground, below Mt. Ebott where seven wizards trapped with a magical barrier."

"So how did the Barrier break? From what I read only something that has great magical power can destroy it." Jin asked a fair question.

"Yeah, a power equivalent to seven Human SOULS." Chara nodded. "Over the years, eight humans fell into the Underground because the Barrier lets things into the Underground but they can't get back out. I was the first and ended up adopted into the royal family."

"Chara was my best friend, and we did everything together... but after we... accidentally poisoned dad with buttercups Chara..." Asriel started only for Frisk to gently take his hand. "She committed suicide."

"So did Shor grant her life back?" Jin asked her.

"Not exactly, Azzy absorbed my SOUL, it would let him get past the barrier but... we were killed." Chara frowned.

Frisk frowned herself recalling the painful memories, "The humans thought he killed her."

"After that… I swore revenge, and over the years… hundreds of years, six human children… they fell and were murdered." Asgore reluctantly admitted. "In order to use their SOULS to break the Barrier."

Jin listened deeply as he sighed, "By decree of the Empire, I would've taken you in..." Before looking at Asgore, "But I'm not a Soldier anymore, and your with me so I'll not do that."

"I still think you should." Asgore sighed. "But either way Frisk was the final human to fall into the Underground and through her pure Determination she managed to not only save everyone but bring Asriel and Chara back to life."

"It was her Determination." Chara smiled.

Frisk only smiled, "It was thanks to me destroying my RESET Button, that I was able to bring you, and Azzy here Chara."

"RESET Button?" Jin questioned.

"long story." Sans mentioned shrugging. "Frisk's a really special kid, but well after spending centuries... might even be millennia sealed underground the idea of going to a tomb... even for a little while is a bit unnerving."

"Well, even if we don't like it we're going with you." Undyne mentioned.

He nodded as they arrived at Riverwood, "Before then, I should get some supplies along the way. It be too crowded for us so me, Undyne, and Papyrus will head to the Riverwood Trader. Wait for us at the bridge."

They all nodded at that. The three walked together entering just as a woman's voice screamed, "Well one of us has to do something!"

They looked seeing two Imperials were arguing.

"I said no! No adventures, no theatrics, no thief-chasing!"

"Well what are you going to do then, huh? Let's hear it!"

"We are done talking about this!"

Noticing them the man stammered, "Oh," clearing his throat he said, "customers. Sorry you both had to hear that. Please look around, and tell me what you both like to have."

The woman only grumbled walking off muttering under her breath.

"I don't know what you all overheard, but the Riverwood Trader is still open, feel free to shop." the man said with a smile.

"We were hoping to buy a few things." Undyne mentioned. "Do you accept gold?"

"Oh yeah we d-" the man widen his eyes seeing Papyrus who he haven't noticed yet, "A skeleton!? What's a skeleton doing here!"

"Relax! He's not one of those Skeleton you find in Nordic Crypts." Jin assured him, "He's friendly." He turned to Papyrus asking, "You are friendly right?"

"OF COURSE, THE GREAT PAPYRUS IS A WONDERFUL FRIEND!" Papyrus smiled.

The man only stared blinking before shaking his head, "Well as long as your sure, cause I hate if that thing decides to not be friendly."

"Instead of insulting them how about telling me what the hell that discussion was about?" Jin asked with him a frown.

"Well uh, w-w-we did have a bit of a... break-in." the man admitted to him rubbing his head, "But we still have plenty to sell. Robbers were only after one thing. An ornament, solid gold. In the shape of a dragon's claw."

"Robbers? Where did they go?" Undyne asked.

"Bleak Falls Barrow, northeast of town." the man answered.

"Bleak Falls Barrow, that can't be a coincidence." Undyne mentioned turning to Jin.

Jin looked at her too before nodding, and turned to the man, "We're heading to Bleak Falls Barrow too. Maybe we can get your claw back along the way."

"You could? I've got some coin coming in from my last shipment. It's yours if you bring my claw back." the man said sounding grateful.

"So, this is your plan, Lucan?" the woman asked with a grin

"Yes. So now you don't have to go, do you?" the man grinned to her crossing his arms.

"Oh really? Well, I think your new helpers here needs a guide." the woman still grinned to her.

Taken aback the man stammered before relenting, "Oh, by the Eight, fine! But only to the edge of town!"

"You mean 'By the Nine'." Jin corrected him before saying, "Besides we don't need a guide, we know where Bleak Falls Barrow is but we appreciate the help. Now let's see what we can get."

After shopping they all exit while Lucan's sister followed winking to Jin, "You are a strapping young man! Don't be a stranger."

She walked back in closing the door while Jin blinked, "Strapping?"

"Who knows." Undyne admitted as she paused. "Actually, hold on I'll be right back."

She walked back in before walking to Lucan. "Sorry, but do you have anything that might help a pacifist who doesn't like hurting people?"

Lucan blinked confused at that, "Well... I do have a few Spell Books that helps defense laying around."

"I'll take them." Undyne mentioned handing Lucan a small bag full of gold.

Lucan hands her a few Spell Tomes at that before she walked out. Curiously Papyrus asked her, "WHAT DID YOU GO BACK IN FOR, UNDYNE?"

"A few things for Frisk, she's a tough kid but we both know she hates hurting people. Whatever she did to those bandits though... it looked like magic so I thought they might have something to help her out without having to fight." she answered. "We both know Humans like her have some magical ability even if they never really use it."

"She can use magic huh?" Jin asked hearing that looking interesting, "Those kinds of magics can help." But he then shook his head, "Not wanting to hurt others is fine, but it doesn't work that way here in Tamriel. Being able to defend herself maybe but she needs to fight back. Unlike you all, the Thalmor, and others won't think twice about killing you all."

"YOU DON'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT FRISK, SHE'S ALMOST AS GREAT AS ME AND PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO HIT!" Papyrus mentioned as they walked back.

"As for using magic, well it used to be that only wizards could use it but that was a long time ago. Now, it's much more common but unlike Monsters Humans and the other species that we fought against you usually only perform the basics without a lot of special training." Undyne explained as they met up with the others.

"Well now anyone can use magic if they give it a chance. There is a College that teaches about it, the College of Winterhold." Jin said to them, "Perhaps we should take her there for her to showcase her true potential."

"Maybe, but right now we have a claw and stone to find." Undyne pointed out as they rejoined the others.

"Did you get what you need?" Alphys asked them.

"Yeah along with some things for Frisk." Undyne answered revealing Spell Tomes.

Frisk looked at them amazed, "Undyne... you didn't have to do that."

"I wanted to punk, we're friends remember?" she grinned.

Frisk smiled back as she looks at the books as she said the names, "Necromantic Healing, Healing Hands, Lesser Ward, and Circle of Protection all Restoration Spells."

"Sounds like the spells up your alley." Jin said to her looking ahead before turning to her, "So please tell us what kind of effects they have."

Frisk nodded before explaining, "Healing Hands is... well it's similar to Goat Mom's own spell." Own spell for healing others she means. "Necromantic Healing it... heals the Undead but not for machines, or life." Makes sense hencing the name, "Lesser Ward... it's able to block harmful spells but some of them can break it as it's the lowest ward spell." It is a starting spell, "And Circle of Protection... when a undead enters the Circle I cast, they move to get out of it." Protection against the Undead is a useful trick.

The problem is that she has two skeletons with her that might be backlashed from it.

"Those sound really cool." Asriel smiled hearing that.

"yeah, they do." Sans agreed.

"All four of them are powerful spells for healers but they also become more taxing." Jin warned Frisk, "Be aware the more magic you use, the faster you'll be exhausted."

"I know, I was taught that by the same person who taught me my Calm Spell. The Restoration School is a little more taxing then Illusion." Frisk assured with a smile.

Her words only confused her friends which she blinked before remembering, "Oh yeah, you guys been sealed for a while so you don't know the schools for magic. While we head to Bleak Falls Barrows, I can tell you guys about them."

"That should make sense, before magic was based on the particular SOUL trait someone had." Toriel explained.

Frisk blushed as they walked up as she explained, "Well... here in Tamriel there are several different Schools of Magic. There are five different Schools in each category. Alteration. Illusion. Restoration. Destruction. And Conjuration. Each of them have their unique sets of abilities for magic users to have. Like how you saw my Calm Spell, an Illusion Spell, it's used to calm aggressive things down, they also alter your body for other things like sneaking."

"The Restoration, and Destruction Schools are self explanatory are they?" Chara asked while they walked up the dirt road.

"Yeah. The Restoration School as you might guess uses the power of Life Forces in terms of healing or defense." Frisk confirmed before frowning, "But unfortunately Skyrim has very little healers since the Nords prefer fighting with weapons, and brawn rather then Magic."

"But if they don't have healers, what if they get injured?" Asriel asked her.

"We have Potions but those are taxing more then magic." Frisk answered him.

Jin at that shook his head saying while keeping his eyes on the road, "It's a sad fact but true. The Nords are hearty people, and enjoy the glory of battle, or to one day reach the gates of Sonvgarde, the afterlife for the Nords. To use Magic would go against what they believed in. Some Nords do use magic but even those are not that common."

"And then there's the Destruction Magic School." Frisk continued with her teaching, "Like you might've guessed it can use harmful spells like Firebolt, Lighting Bolt, Ice Spike, all in between in terms of attacks all centered on Fire, Ice, and Lightning based skills."

"Like this here." Jin stopped raising his hand as fires build before calling, "Firebolt!" He fired it at a tree which hit it, and the flames dissipate after a few seconds.

"WOWEE, THAT'S JUST LIKE HIS MAJESTY AND HIS FAMILY!" Papyrus pointed out.

"Fire magic comes naturally to us." Asgore explained forming a flame in his hands before it vanished. "Destruction... I suppose in a way that's fitting for me."

"And next there is the Alteration School of Magic." Frisk added to that as they continued their trek, "It's used to alter things in the physical world. Like say, if you want to breath Underwater there is a spell for that, or if things are too dark there is a Spell called Magelight that you can use to see things in the dark."

"Those sound really useful." Chara mentioned thoughtfully.

"Despite the similarities both the Alteration, and Illusion Schools are not the same thing. The Alteration School alters things for real, while the Illusion School plays tricks on the minds of others that aren't real." Frisk then said the difference between the two aforementioned schools, "So don't mix the two up together."

The monsters all nodded at that.

"So is it better to specialize in one kind of magic or use them all?" Asriel asked her.

"You can use all of them but you end up being a Master of Zone if that makes sense." Frisk admitted to him.

Asriel nodded.

"so... you use destruction then?" Sans inquired to Jin.

"I specialized in the Restoration, Destruction, and at times the Conjuration Schools." Jin explained to Sans, "I tried my hand on the Alteration, and Illusion Schools but those are not really the schools for me."

"Ah the Conjuration School." Frisk smiled hearing the name of the final school she haven't mentioned before turning to Undyne, "It's something that Undyne have a little bit of experience with."

"I do?" she inquired hearing that.

"Basically the Conjuration School allows the caster to create weapons with their magic." Frisk explained to her, "Also at times they can also summon allies from different Planes of Oblivion including the Undead. You can also banish some certain monsters back to where they came from or-" She paused before finishing, "Trapping the SOULs of the enemies you kill in what are called Soul Gems."

That caused all of the Monsters to suddenly freeze in shock.

"kid... did you just say trapping SOULS?" Sans asked her.

"She did. Trapping souls, are one of the bedrocks of a special skill in life known as Enchanting." Jin took this over to explain to them. "Enchanting is where you can give your equipment such as your armor, your weapons, or even something as everyday clothes, and give them a magical ability by using a Soul Gem. The stronger the soul in the Soul Gem the more powerful the Enchantment will be." He started the most common use of Enchanting before adding another important factor, "You can also learn different enchantments by destroying the item that has one but the item will be lost. Similarly when you use a Soul Gem in Enchanting it too will be destroyed but the items you enchant will be there in it's place which will grant you extra abilities, or add special effects to your weapons."

"I think it would be best if we avoided that entirely." Asgore frowned.

"You can try, but without that your better off relying on your equipment which are just standard equipment, and rely only on their strength, and sturdiness." Jin said to them.

"We should be..." Asgore started before pausing.

"Do you guys hear something, it sounds like people talking up ahead." Chara whispered.

Jin at that said, "Get down." They all crouch as they slowly walked seeing a guard tower where they see some Bandits are talking drinking. Jin scowled, "Bandits... of course."

"Probably the same ones who stole that claw." Undyne mentioned.

Jin takes out a bow pulling out an arrow which they noticed. Before they can do anything Jin fired the arrow which shot through before striking a Bandit at the neck where his armor isn't protecting, and gasped choking collapsing coughing blood while the other grew alarmed but before he can warn his friends he was shot at the side of his head by a second arrow which he collapsed dead instantly while the one still alive struggled gasping.

"What was that, who's there?" questioned a third bandit moments before he was impaled by a blue spear that emerged from the ground.

"So that's what she meant." Jin said looking at Undyne remembering Frisk's words before he walked forward with the others.

Seeing the bandit gasping Jin walked kneeling down before wrapping his hands around his neck tightening it's grip as the Bandit weakly tried to get him off but to no avail before the bandit stopped struggling felling limp. Jin sighed at this before taking the arrow off his neck, and then stomped on the neck of the one Undyne impaled killing him too before looting the corpses of the gold, potions, and gems they might have. Toriel frowned as she hugged Frisk after seeing that.

"That was brutal wasn't it?" Alphys also wasn't pleased from seeing how Jin done that.

"Life is brutal. That's how it is now." Jin pointed out to her. Looking at the tower he walked in drawing his sword. Several bandits who noticed him moved to attack as Jin blocked the attacks kicking or shoving some away before impaling one with his sword letting go, and then turned calling, "Ice Spike!"

A spike of ice shot from his hand at a bandit who was using a bow about to shoot only to be impaled by the spike. Crying out he fell down the ledge firing the arrow at a bandit running down the stairs by accident which made him fall down giving a painful landing. Jin dodged a warhammer attack before punching the Bandit, and grabbed his sword from the bandit he impaled, and then sliced off the hand holding the hammer as the bandit cried in pain before Jin slashed down striking the Bandit's head from the top before he kicked him off sighing sheathing his sword seeing all the bandits in the tower are dead starting to loot them, and then take all the gold, and gems they have in chests, and shelves exiting it, "They won't be bothering us anymore."

"Frisk, are you going to be ok staying with someone who does that?" Chara asked her adoptive sister.

Frisk shuddered but slowly nodded to her. Asriel and Chara both hugged her at that.

"I think I found the entrance." Asgore mentioned. "So, we're looking for a claw made of solid gold and a stone?"

"THAT'S CORRECT YOUR MAJESTY!" Papyrus confirmed.

Jin nodded as they walked in finding a couple of bandits at the entrance talking so they eavesdropped.

"That Dark Elf wants to go on ahead, let him. Better than us risking our necks."

"What if he doesn't come back, I want my share on that claw."

"Just shut it and keep an eye out for trouble."

Jin turned to Undyne, "Think you can get rid of those two without me wasting my arrows?"

She just nodded as he saw her just create two spears out of nothing before throwing them at the bandits killing them both instantly before the spears vanished. They walked as he takes loots the corpses, and then gets into a chest finding it locked. Undeterred Jin takes a lockpick unlocking the chest, and taking some things before they walked down. They soon see a Bandit where Jin readied an arrow as they watched the bandit pulling down a lever only to be pelted to death by hidden trap arrows which made Jin drop his aim.

"That... a puzzle?" Toriel asked in surprise.

"That's surprisingly convenient, the Underground was full of puzzles." Asgore explained before turning. "Do you want to try Asriel?"

They entered the room where they see three faces well one in the middle is gone that had collapsed on the ground having pictures of a dolphin, an eagle, and a snake while seeing three rotating pillars that can be rotated by hand while Jin loots the new corpse.

Asriel nodded with a smile. He looked at the faces above the gate while seeing the one on the ground. He then smiled walking to the pillars, and moving them by hand to the order he sees them in. Walking over he takes the lever in his hands pulling it which made the gate opened raising up.

"Awesome Azzy." Chara smiled seeing that.

Asriel smiled as they walked closer down while Jin checks the urns. Over the way they hear a voice.

"Is... is someone coming? Is that you Harknir? Bjorn? Soling?"

Hearing that they walked as they see webs are blocking the next way. Jin growled, "Hate these things." He used his sword to cut the way opened before they checked in seeing someone trapped at the otherside of the room.

Frisk widen her eyes running towards him, "We're coming!"

"No get back!"

Jin's call came in late cause a giant spider having several eyes looking wounded dropped down in front of her as she looked at it shocked while it stared back before screeching, and she screamed.

(Battle Theme: Explorer 2)

"Dammit!" Jin drew his sword for a fight.

Asgore frowned as his trident appeared and Undyne formed another spear as she held it and prepared to fight the spider.

The spider started by jumping to bite Frisk only for Jin to run grabbing it dodging. Setting her down he told her to stay put while he run to fight it. Jin moved to slash but the spider jumped avoiding as he asked to no-one, "Seriously, what kind of spider jumps to dodge?"

The Spider shot poisoned web spits which Jin avoided a bit before the spider jumped when it sees Asgore moving to attack avoiding before jumping to bite him which Asgore avoided dodging as Undyne jumped to stab it which the spider moved dodging but got nicked jumping back. Jin used several Ice Spikes which the spider jumped up to avoid landing on the other side of the room while the Dark Elf yelled, "Kill it, kill it! By the Eight, kill the damn thing!"

"Shut the f**k up, and let us focus!" Jin snapped at him which made the Dark Elf stop talking.

With them focused the Spider shot more poisoned webs which Asgore, and Undyne dodged but Jin got hit causing him to grunt as he felt some burning but shakes it off moving to attack with Asgore, and Undyne. The spider jumped avoiding the attacks before jumping managing to bite Jin at his shoulder which made him howl in pain before managing to stab the Spider at the underbelly which made it screech jumping back while the Argonian knelled breathing feeling the effects of the spider's venom eating his body.

Asgore moved to stab which the spider dodged to avoid before shooting several poisoned webs which they rolled to dodged while the others who aren't fighting stayed out of the room to give them room while Frisk in her spot stays in her spot like Jin told her. Undyne made several spears appear from the ground at the spider which the spider jumped avoiding as one severed one of it's legs. The spider jumped to bite again which Asgore rolled forward to avoid before striking the abdomen of the spider with his trident which made it screech jumping forward turning to him before starting to jump again which was interrupted when it heard, "HEY BIG UGLY!"

Turning over Jin jumped up letting out a battlecry slashing down slicing the spider downward in half as he landed in front of it. The spider stayed in suspension for a moment before collapsing it's halves bleeding out onto the floor.

(End Battle Theme)

Jin got up sheathing his sword only to wince holding his shoulder. Toriel frowned before walking over as her hands glowed green and his wounds started healing themselves.

"Let's... not tell Muffet about this." Chara whispered seeing what happened.

"Your poisoned." Toriel said seeing the effects it's doing.

"It's fine. Frostbite Spider Venom doesn't last long." Jin told her. That was before he turned to Frisk, "Seriously why would you run into a large room perfect for an ambush!?"

"I-I saw him trapped-"

"Yeah, and? You need to have a game plan! Otherwise that's asking for certain death, you need to have a plan, and be ready to have your guard up wherever you go!" Jin scolded to her as she looked down, "If the sight is that obvious, it's most certainly be a trap for that big ass spider to ambush it's prey! You need to be more careful."

"I'm... I'm sorry..." Frisk closed her eyes having tears in her eyes.

"Hey, leave her alone." Chara glared at him. "You have no right to yell at Frisk like that."

"Chara's right, she was trying to help someone in trouble, unlike you." Asriel agreed angrily.

"If she really was, then she needs to have a plan to do so to prepare so we wouldn't get ambushed like that." Jin pointed out, "Running straight in would trigger that."

"I uh... don't mean to interrupt." they turned to Dark Elf who had been silently watching with a sweatdrop before he requested, "But uh, can you please cut me down? More might be coming."

Jin sighed before telling Frisk pointing at her, "We will discuss more about this later." He walked over to the Dark Elf asking him, "Do you have the Golden Claw?"

"Yes, the claw. I know how it works. The claw, the markings, the door in the Hall of Stories. I know how they all fit together! Help me down, and I'll show you. You all wouldn't believe the power the Nords have hidden there." the Dark Elf said to him struggling.

Jin sighed, "Fine let me see what I can do." Taking out his sword the starts cutting the webbing while Frisk looked down ashamed from what Jin said to her.

"It's ok my child." Toriel whispered hugging her gently.

"Goat Mom..." Frisk softly hugged her back, "Maybe... maybe he's right... I almost had all of us killed from me running without a plan, or thinking this room had an ambush."

"YOU DID NOTHING OF THE SORT HUMAN FRISK!" Papyrus told her. "TRUST ME, YOU ARE TRULY GREAT AND I'M SURE EVEN HE MADE MISTAKES BEFORE!"

"He was just worried about you, telling you to be more careful." Asgore said softly to her, "Just be more careful okay?"

She nodded before they see Jin freeing the Dark Elf before he hoist him up asking, "Now tell us about what it is?"

The Dark Elf only laughed, "You fool, why should I share the treasure with anyone?" A sharp pain was what Jin felt where he found the Dark Elf had stick a dagger in his chest causing him to let go crying out, "SON OF A-!" With him free the Dark Elf ran off escaping.

Or he tried only to suddenly find himself frozen in place as he was pulled back into the room.

"W-Why can't I move!?" the Dark Elf struggled to move before seeing he's face-to-face with a certain lazyones who's left eye is glowing blue almost like a flame which made him freeze.

"you know, I normally don't like putting in effort but you really should apologize for getting my pal Frisk yelled at." Sans mentioned. "plus, you said something about knowing what that claw did? kind of rude to not tell us what you meant."

Jin meanwhile takes the dagger out wincing holding his wound while Frisk walked over, "Healing Hands." Using her new spell she healed Jin's wound as it closed before she stopped breathing a bit. Looking at him she said, "Hey... I'm sorry about before, it's just-"

He raised his hand which made her stop before he looked at her, "Just pay more attention to your surroundings, and don't let your guard down alright?"

She softly nodded as they walked back to where Jin looked through the Dark Elf's bag as the trapped elf yelled, "H-Hey those are mine!"

Jin pulled out a journal opening it, reading it outloud.

Arvel's Journel...

My fingers are trembling. The Golden Claw is finally in my hands, and with it, the power of the ancient Nordic heroes. That fool Lucan Valerius had no idea that his favorite store decoration was actually the key to Bleak Falls Barrow.

Now I just need to get to the Hall of Stories and unlock the door. The legend says there is a test that the Nords put in place to keep the unworthy away, but that "when you have the golden claw, the solution is in the palm of your hands."

"Hey, there are markings on this claw." Asriel mentioned suddenly showing them to Jin.

Jin turning over looked taking the claw seeing marks in the palm that has a bear, moth, and owl on it. "So that's what it meant." He turned to Arvel grabbing it which Sans released from his magic slamming him against the wall hitting his head with the hilt of the dagger. He growled at him, "I got all the right mind to kill you right now!"

Arvel whimpered a bit, "H-Hey, I'm sorry! A-A-A bandit's gotta make a living you kn-" Jin cut him off with another hit making a yelp escape him.

Jin then stabbed his gut with the same dagger which made Arvel cry out before Jin stabbed him several more times before stopping pulling back as Arvel collapsed holding his bleeding gut groaning coughing, "Now you just stay there, and bleed out to death. I must rather make people like you suffer to death, so you'll learn hard about the mistakes you done that made this happen."

He threw dagger away before sighing turning to his party, "Let's continue on our merry way."

"You're no better than those bandits." Undyne told Jin coldly.

"Unlike them, I don't kill as an indulgence. I do it because I have too. I'm no hero, just someone trying to get by. But I rather do honest work, then kill others for that." Jin said to her at that, "Even though I'm not a Soldier anymore, the code I'm bound too is still alive to me. The training that was instilled in me is still with me."

"THERE'S ALWAYS AN OPTION OTHER THAN KILLING." Papyrus argued.

"We can talk about that after we get the claw and stone." Asgore mentioned.

Agreeing they continued their trek down. They arrived down at a room with several things before Frisk widen her eyes calling, "Circle of Protection!"

A circle popped around the ground before Jin sees in front of a him a zombie warrior with a raised sword. When the sword became active it stopped before stepping back getting out of the circle staring at them.

"Draugr." Jin frowned.

Papyrus, and Sans were also out of the circle as they looked at the undead Dragur around. Jin drew his sword, "Now these, I have no qualms about!" He moved attacking the Dragur fighting them which was easily before slashing down the last one as Frisk's circle vanished.

Frisk frowned from seeing Jin's aggressive behavior. She knew he was defending the group from threats but killing things was something she hated. Even that he left one of the bandits they encountered to die by bleeding out, him being really brutal. He said he was a Soldier, and him fighting certainly proves that. That doesn't make it any less better but they do know he does defend the group, despite his brutal fighting style he defends his group, and then scolded her when she nearly got killed by the giant Spider a while ago.

Turning over to Asriel, and Chara, she asked them, "Azzy? Chara?"

"Yeah Frisk?" Asriel asked.

"Are you ok?" Chara inquired noticing her expression.

"Do you two... like him?" Frisk asked them as they watched Jin cutting down the Draugr.

"Honestly, no." Chara answered. "He reminds me of the kinds of humans I knew before... I don't think we should stay with him for much longer."

"I agree." Asriel nodded. "He says he's a soldier like Undyne... but he's kind of mean and... even if people have to die he's making them suffer. I don't like him either."

"I don't either." Frisk admitted to them, "The way he fights, and how he acts... it's not right. He doesn't spare anyone, and doesn't mind killing any of them."

"Should we tell dad?" Asriel asked her.

Frisk shrugs at that, "I don't know. What makes Jin different is that, he cares about others. He told me to be more careful, and then helped us against that spider. I don't know if we should stay with him, or not."

They frowned but nodded at that as Jin decapitated the last Draugr. He sighed before noticing something, and turned, "Trap door ahead."

"Like that." Frisk said to them to prove her point.

They walked forward dealing with more enemies before finding a large hall with a door locked with a unique lock that has three rings with a picture of a bear, moth, and owl each along with a claw shaped lock on it.

"Oh, the markings on the claw!" Asriel realized seeing that.

Jin nodded in agreement looking at the claw's palm looking at the rings, and moved them in the proper order before placing the claw in the slot turning it before the two first rings changed to the bottom picture before the door starts lowering down.

"guess you have the golden touch?" Sans joked with a wink.

Jin raised an eyebrow to him looking confused not getting it.

"MUST YOU RUIN THE ACHIEVEMENT WITH ONE OF YOUR MANY PUNS?" Papyrus groaned.

"To be honest, that was one of his better ones." Undyne pointed out.

Jin shrugged a bit as they walked in the room where they are suddenly flown over by bats, "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" When their view is clear they see a large royal chamber is at the otherside of the room.

"Whoa." Chara whispered.

They walked up finding a large chest, a coffin, and a large wall. Hearing something Jin blinked looking around, "Did you hear that?"

"No, what are you talking about?" Undyne asked him.

Jin noticing something looking like a glowing word on the wall walked over. Everyone else doesn't see the glowing word that he's seeing.

"What are you doing?" Asgore questioned.

Suddenly Jin froze as knowledge brought into him before the word faded as he used one hand to hold his head shaking it, "Wait... Fus?"

Hearing something they looked over seeing a Draugr exiting the coffin looking more powerful then the ones they already encountered.

"Everyone get back!" Undyne cried forming a spear as she charged at the Draugr.

The Draugr pulled out a large two handed sword before charging swinging it at Undyne. She braced herself and blocked the sword before forming a second spear and stabbing it through the Draugr's leg. The Draugr knelled before calling as Undyne moved to attack, "Fus... RO DAH!"

To her shock Undyne was sent flying back.

"UNDYNE! WHAT JUST HAPPENED?" Papyrus questioned.

"I don't know, but it won't happen again." she answered as the ground below the Draugr began glowing blue as a spear shot up killing it instantly.

The Draugr froze before collapsing.

Jin remarked to Undyne, "You be a good soldier for the empire." He walked looking over the Draugr taking his sword, Gold, and a large stone, "This must be what Farengar wanted."

"I agree, let's head back to return the claw and get that to him." Undyne nodded.

They exited the ruins through a backdoor. During which time Frisk said to Jin, "Hey Jin?"

"Yeah?" Jin asked her.

"Your too aggressive. You didn't think to spare Arvel? He had no way to defend himself but you left him there like that." Frisk frowned to Jin.

"She has a point." Toriel agreed.

Jin only sighed, "I figured that's why." He said solemnly, "This world is messed up simple. The Thalmor, had started their assault, and the Emperor had signed away most of what we're fighting for to them in exchange for Cyrodill to survive the Great War. My home, was assaulted by the Thalmor during the war... My wife... my daughter... family there... all gone." He closed his eyes as a tear slid down his face.

They all looked shocked hearing that before Frisk frowned and hugged him gently. "I'm sorry, we shouldn't have said anything."

"It's alright. You had the right to know." Jin told her. He turned to the others saying, "I'm not asking you all to forgive me, or trust me. What I'm saying is I hope you understand why I act like that. Betrayed by the Empire that promised peace, my home destroyed by the very enemies of mankind that the Emperor gave up fighting against, and now trying to hide away from my past to at least stop the Thalmor my own way."

Ulrich362: How will they react to that revelation?

bopdog111: That will be soon. Since Jin opened up perhaps, Frisk, will be able to melt the ice on his cold heart.

Ulrich362: If anybody can it's Frisk. Though only time will tell. See you in the next chapter.

bopdog111: Be sure to review!
