Chapter One.

Jean Grey frightfully runs through a dark forest. While she runs, she hears a little boy's voice. "Jean!" She heard. Jean came to a clearing and stops. The moon light was bright tonight when suddenly, something dark began to slowly cover the moon. "Jean, he's here the monster is here. Please help me. Jean, Jean!" She heard, as the moon was completely blacked out. Jean Grey wakes up in a cold sweat and breathing heavily. She looked around her room. "Patrick!" She said.

Morning came to Xavier's school. Jean walks down the hallway to Professor Xavier's class. Inside Charles's students are doing a mathematics quiz, when there was a knock at the door. "Come in Jean!" Charles said. Jean walked in. "Here are the papers you asked for professor!" Jean said, handing him the papers. "Thank you, Jean!" He said, taking the papers. "Are you packed and ready for Washington?" He asked. "Yes sir, I'm packed and ready to go!" She told him. "Great, then I will see you at four!" Charles said. Soon Jean walked the halls again on her way back to the library to continue her college studies. As she walks down the hall, she passes Logan, Scott and Kurt as they were putting up Christmas lights. It was November and they were getting ready for Christmas. Jean smiled as she passes them.

Hidden deep within the mountains of Colorado is the hidden Mutant town called White Cliff. Parked in front of a school, Erik Lensherr sits in his car and watches a young girl play on the playground. Just then his car phone rang. "Hello!" He greeted. "Erik, where are you. I thought you were going to pick up something for dinner!" She replied, on the other line. "Don't worry, I am going to pick up something for dinner!" He told her. "Erik, are you watching Rebecca again?" She asked. "Yes!" He confessed. "Erik, we talked about this, she's fine, nothing bad is going to happen to her, so stop worrying!" She told him. "Your right Carol, I'm worrying for nothing. I'll be home soon with dinner, okay?" He told her. "Okay bye!" She said, hanging up. Erik took one last look at Rebecca before driving off.

Soon it was four pm and Jean, Scott, Storm and Logan were all in the hangar waiting for Charles to show up. Soon the door opens and in wheeled Charles. "Sorry I'm late, I got detained. So, are we ready to go?" Charles asked. "Yes Professor!" They said. "Good, let's go! He Said, boarding the jet. Soon they were all in the Black bird buckled and ready to go. "Ready back there?" Scott asked. "Ready to go!" Charles said. The engines fire up and the jet lifts off and flies out of the hangar and towards Washington DC.

On the flight there, Jean remembers back to her early childhood. A school bell rings and out comes the children. One of those children was six-year-old Jean Grey. Jean took the same route home every day. But on this day when she passes an alleyway, she senses someone. Jean looks down the alleyway and hears someone sobbing. "Hello!" She called, slowly walking towards the sobbing. There behind some trash cans was a small boy with short light brown hair and pointy ears crying. "Hello there!" Jean Said, looking at him and the little boy turned and looked up at her. "Are you talking to me? He asked, looking at her with his turquoise eyes. "Yes, I am!" She told him. "You can see me? He asked. "Of course, I can see you!" She said. "How? No one else can see or hear me, how can you?" He asked. "I don't know, I just do. Do you have a name?" Jean asked. "Yes, my name is Patrick. What's yours?" He asked. "Jean, Jean Grey. Tell me Patrick why are you hiding and crying?" She asked, "I'm hiding from the monster that hunts me and I'm crying because I'm scared he's going to find me!" He said. "Monster? Why is this monster hunting you?" Jean asked. "I don't know he just is!" Patrick said. "Do you want to come home with me, I'll keep you hidden from this monster!" Jean said. "Okay!" Patrick said, getting up and walking out from behind the trash cans and the two of them walked out of the ally and towards Jean's house. "So where are you from Patrick?" Jean asked. "I don't know, all I know is I'm not from this planet!" She remembered.

Back in White cliff. Erik watches TV, when the news came on and reported on another strange sighting around New York. Erik listens to the reporter. Just when Rebecca walked in. "Hello, Carol, Erik, I'm home!" She called, walking in and saw Erik watching TV. "Hi Erik!" She greeted. "Erik turned to her. "Hey, welcome home Sweetheart. How was school?" Erik asked, hugging her. "It was fine, Mrs. Steven said my spelling is improving!" Rebecca told him. "That's great to hear!" He said, smiling. Then Carol walked in from the kitchen. "Hi honey welcome home. Dinner will be ready in an hour!" Carol said. "Okay I'll be in my room doing my homework!" Rebecca said, heading up to her room and Erik went to back to watching TV.

By the time Charles and his X-men arrived in Washington DC, it was night. It was once again a moonless night. They drove to they're hotel. Inside Charles wheeled to the front desk, "Good evening, sir. May I help you?" The lady asked. "Yes, I have reservations for two of your rooms, my name is Charles Xavier!" Charles said. "Okay one sec, Charles Xavier!" She said, typing in his name into the computer. "Aw yes Professor, we've been expecting you. Your rooms have been cleaned and are ready for you. Just let me go get your keys for you!" She said, leaving to get the keys. A few minutes later she returned with their keys. "Here you are, your rooms are on the fifteenth floor!" She said, Thank you, madam!" Charles said, taking the keys. "Enjoy your stay!" She said, smiling.

Soon they got off the elevator and headed to their rooms. twenty minutes later they were downstairs meeting with some of the teachers and professors from the university that Charles was invited to speak at. Jean watches as Charles shakes hands and talks to some of the teachers and professors. When she sensed someone in the crowd. Jean looked around and noticed a man with dark hair and a beard. Jean got a bad vibe from him. Then he vanished into the crowd. Jean looked around for him again but could not find him. "Jean, Jean. Are you okay?" Scott asked. "Yeah, Yeah I'm fine!" She told him, looking where she saw the man.

Chapter Two.

Back in White cliff. Erik, Carol and Rebecca sit at the dinner table eating supper. At first everyone was quiet. "So, I have some news. Erik, do you remember Bob Pepper the mayor of Green Waters?" Carol asked. "Yes, I remember you introducing me to him last year! Erik said. "Well, he and his wife are coming to our Christmas party next month!" She told them. "Really, well that great!" Erik said, eating. "Will there be any kids there?" Rebecca asked. "Yes, dear there will be!" She told her. "Alright!" Rebecca cheered. As Carol and Erik both smiled.

Back at the hotel, Jean comes out of the bathroom ready for bed. Storm was already asleep on the other bed. Jean pulls back the covers and gets into bed. Once covered she falls asleep quickly. In her dream, Jean remembers back to her childhood again. Patrick was right when he told her that no one else could see him or hear him, not even her own parents. Patrick stayed with Jean and her family. He even stayed with Jean after she went to Charles's school, where Jean continued to grow up while Patrick stayed the same. Then one day when Jean was twelve. Jean woke up, she yawned and looked around to find Patrick nowhere to be found. "Patrick, Patrick!" She called, looking for him Then. "Jean!" She heard. "Patrick, where are you?" She asked. "Don't look for me Jean just listen. I have to leave Jean!" she heard. "You're leaving, but why?" She asked. "Do you remember me telling you about the monster that hunts me?" He asked. "Yes, I remember!" She told him. "Well, He's here, on Earth. So, I must go back into hiding!" She heard. "Why can't you hide here with me? Jean asked, very upset. "I know you are upset Jean and I know you want me to stay with you. But staying with you will put you and everyone in the school in danger and I don't want to put any of you in danger!" She heard. "I, I understand Patrick!" She said, sadly. "Don't worry Jean, we will meet again, I know we will!" She heard, as Jean smiled through her tears. "I know we will too Patrick, but I'm still going to miss you!" She Remembers saying.

When Jean woke up it was morning and Storm was already up. "Morning Jean!" Storm said. "Morning!" Jean said, getting up. After breakfast They all got into the car and headed to the university. Once there, they headed into the courtyard, where a crowd of students waited for them. While Charles gave his speech, his X-men kept an eye out for danger. Each X-men took a different position. Jean walked through crowd scanning for any trouble. She looked at Scott who was not far from her. She then looked at the other two who were in their positions. Everything was going smoothly when suddenly everything and everyone froze in place, except Jean. Jean looked around and saw that no one was moving not even Charles. "Scott?" She called, seeing him frozen. Then she sensed him. She turned and looked to the back of the crowd and saw Patrick rushing through the frozen crowd. "Patrick?" She said, in shock. As he ran to her, and the two hugged. "Oh, oh Patrick, I can't believe it's you!" She told him, as he frightfully looked around. "Patrick? Patrick what's wrong?" She asked. Patrick still frightfully looked around, then she sensed someone else. As the sky went dark, Jean slowly looked and saw the man with the dark hair and beard. "Well, Well, what do we have here?" He said. "Who? Who are you?" Jean asked. "My name, my real name cannot be pronounced in your language. "So, you can call me Adwin!" He said, hearing Patrick whimper, as he frightfully held onto Jean's pant leg. "What, what do you want?" She asked. "The boy, hand him over I will spare your life!" He told her. "Don't listen to him Jean he wants to kill us all!" Jean heard, she looked down at Patrick who was still holding onto her pant leg. Jean took his hand and put him behind her. This angered Adwin. "You foolish woman, do you actually believe you can protect this boy from me?" He shouted, angrily. "Yes, I do and I will protect him from you, now that I know what you truly are monster?" She told him. "Really, you'll protect me?" Patrick asked, looking up at her. Jean looked down at him. "Yes!" She said, looking at him. Patrick then hugged her waist and burst into a bright green light. The light was so bright it frightened Adwin away. Jean felt aroused. But when she opened her eyes, everything was back to normal. Everyone was moving again and the sun was shining, but Patrick was nowhere to be found. Jean looked around and saw that Charles was still giving his speech and Scott was still at his position, as were the other two.

Not far from the university Adwin stares down at the crowd of students. "Alright Jean Grey, you wish to help this boy live, then so beat it, I'll destroy the both of you together!" He said, leaving.

Back at White cliff in Erik's back yard. Erik teaches Rebecca to control her powers. "That's a girl, keep it up!" He said, watching her use her crystal powers. "Okay now stop it!" he said, as Rebecca tried to stop her crystals from spreading, which was hard. But she eventually stopped them. "Good girl, you did it. A bit more practice and you'll be better at it!" Erik said. "You really mean that?" She asked. "You bet, an old friend of mine once said, practice, practice, practice!" Erik said, showing her his powers and she giggled.

Soon Charles and his X-men were back at the hotel. Jean and Storm both got ready for dinner when there was a knock at the door. Storm answered it. "Hey, are you two almost ready. The Professor and Logan are already downstairs waiting!" Scott said. "Yes, we're almost ready!" Jean told him, still getting ready.

Soon they were downstairs, where they sat at a table with the Professor. "Wonderful Speech today, Charles!" Logan told him. "Yes, a wonderful speech today, Professor!" Storm said. "Thank you everyone, I'm glad you enjoyed it!" Charles said, as they're dinner arrived. "Oh, wow this looks good!" Storm said. "It certainly does, let's eat everyone!" Charles said, digging in. Soon everyone was eating. "This is so good!" Storm said, eating. "I think Jean would agree with you!" Logan said, seeing her wolfing down her meal. "Whoa, Jean slow down!" Scott told her. "Sorry, but I'm so hungry!" She said, still eating.

Chapter Three.

After supper, Jean lays in her bed unable to sleep. Her thoughts were of Patrick and what happened to him. Jean sighed as she laid in bed, when. "Jean!" She heard in her mind. "Patrick? Where are you?" She asked. "I'm with you, you just can't see me!" She heard, in her mind. "What do you mean I can't see you? Where are you?" She asked, Just, then Jean's vision travelled into her own body and there in her womb was a tiny fetus, Jean knew it was Patrick. Soon her vision returned to normal. Jean gasped then touched her belly and smiled.

At White cliff, at Erik's house. Erik reads to Rebecca as she lays in bed. As he reads the lights flicker, which gets their attention. "What's with the lights?" Rebecca asked. "I don't know? Stay here, I'll check it out!" He told her, then got up and left the room. Erik went outside and looked around he noticed the streetlights were also flickering. He retreated into the house as the lights continued to flicker. "Erik is everything alright? What's with the lights?" Carol asked. "I don't know? But all the streetlights are flickering too!" He said, as the lights continued to flicker.

By morning Charles and his X-men had checked out and were flying back home. When they landed in the hangar, Hank was waiting for them. Soon they all stepped off the jet. "Welcome back everyone!" Hank greeted them. "Thank you, Hank, it's good to be home. But tell me Hank, what's wrong?" Charles asked. Soon they were back upstairs. "I'm sorry Charles, I should have called you when it happened!" Hank apologised. "Don't worry about it, Hank, from the sound of it, I doubt even I could have stopped it, even if I were here. But tell me, how many?" Charles asked. "Three!" Hank said, as they entered Charles's office.

Down the hall Jean entered her room to unpack when she heard a woman's voice and saw a vision of a town deep within the mountains. "Jean, Jean Grey, come to White Cliff, you will be in terrible danger if you remain where you are. Come to me, I can protect you both!" She heard. Then she heard a knock on her door. "Jean?" she heard from behind the door. Jean answered the door. "Hey sweetie!" Scott said. "Hey!" She said, kissing him. "Come in!" She told him, as he walked in. "What's up?" She asked. "Uhm, Hank wants us to supervise the kids outside and I thought it would be a great time for us to spend some time together!" Scott said. "Okay, let me grab my coat!" She said, smiling.

Soon they were outside supervising. The two hold hands as they walk the grounds. "So, are you ready for Christmas?" He asked. "Yes, I believe so, I still have some shopping to do but yeah, I'm ready. How about you? She asked. "Yeah, I'm ready, I too got some shopping to do, but I'm ready!" he said, as they continued to walk. "Mr. Summers, Miss Grey!" A boy cried, rushing to them. "Michael, what's wrong?" Jean asked. "It's Tonya, she climbed one of the trees and now she can't get back down!" Mike told. "I got this Jean!" He said, as he and Michael ran to the tree. Jean watched them from where she stood. When she heard children laughing and screaming in the distance. She turned to the field and saw some kids playing in the field. She turned back to Scott and the kids, just as Tonya came down from the tree. "Good girl!" Scott said. Jean turned back to the kids in the field, only to find them gone. Scott walked back to Jean. "Now, where were we?" Scott asked, as they moved on.

At Sarah's Diner. Erik sits at a booth and waits for Carol to show up. As he waited, he watched twelve-year-old Penny take someone's order. Just then Carol walked in and walked to the booth. "Hey sweetie!" She said, kissing him. "Sorry I'm late, Johnson the mayor of Red sands had a long talk with me. So, did you order yet?" She asked. No not yet, I was waiting for you!" Erik said, reading the menu. Carol also started reading the menu when seven-year-old Emily approached them. "Hi Emily, how are you dear?" Carol asked. "I'm good, your usual to drink Miss Caddy?" She asked. "Yes, please dear!" Carol said, as Emily left to get her drink. "So, what did you and Johnson talk about?" Erik asked. "Important things, He's worried about the humans finding our towns. He's also worried about these strange sightings!" She said. "What did you tell him?" Erik asked. "I told him, we all were!" She said, as Emily came back with her drink. "Here you are, are you ready to order?" She asked, bringing a pen and pad out. "Yes, dear I'll have my usual on brown!" she ordered. "I'll also have my usual on white!" Erik ordered, as Emily wrote it down then left to put in their orders.

That night Jean walked down the halls. She stops when she hears the TV blaring. She entered the TV room and saw no one was in there. The news was on and they were talking about the strange sighting across the states. As she watches the news, she began to see Adwin in her mind as well as his creatures. "Adwin!" She said, staring at the TV. "Yes, and those are his Darklings. They come out at night to hunt, but you can tell if they are near, their powers turn off everything that is electrical. If the lights start to flicker then they're nearby!" Patrick said, in her mind.

At dinner Jean sits with Scott and overhears Storm talking to Logan. "Did you hear four more kids were pulled out of school today!" Storm told Logan. "What again? What is up with those parents?" Logan asked. "I Don't know? But the Professor thinks they are running to some place, but he doesn't know where?" Storm told them. "So, Jean, I heard you have collage exams coming up!" Scott said, eating. "Yeah and I have to study after dinner!" Jean said, also eating. "Need some company, we can study together!" Scott said, eating. "Sure, I like that!" She said, drinking.

Elsewhere, Charles marks papers in his office when he hears a familiar woman's voice. "Charles, Charles!" He heard, in his mind. "Lilandra?" He said. "One of your X-men is in grave danger!" She said, in his mind. "Danger?" He said.

Two hours later in Jean's room, she and Scott were studying together. "How are you doing over there?" He asked, reading his books. "Okay so far!" She told him. "You know, you and I should think about moving in together again!" He said, looking at her. "Maybe someday, I'd like that?" Jean told him. "Me too!" He said, as Jean smiled, then kissed him. The two then made out until Scott's watch went off. "Aw dam, it's time for my shift, I'm sorry!" He told her. "Don't be, go and do your shift and I'll see you tomorrow at practice!" She said, kissing him.

On a lone street Adwin walks the cold streets. As he walks the streetlights began to flicker behind him before turning off completely.

Back at the mansion. Jean continues to study when the lights out in the courtyard began to flicker. In her room Jean was still studying when she saw her lamp flickering. "Darklings!" She said, knowing she was in trouble. Then she heard Patrick. "Jean they're here, Adwin's Darklings are here. You must protect yourself!" Patrick told her. "Yes, but how?" She asked. "They hate light, it kills them. Do you have any candles? Their powers don't work on natural light!" Patrick told her. Jean quickly went to her drawer and brought out a candle and lighter. She opens the lid and lit the candle. Jean stayed near the candle as she heard a loud screech outside.

Chapter Four.

In white cliff Erik lies in bed with Carol sleeping beside him. He hears the loud screeching outside. He quick turns to the sound before turning on the lamp. Only to find the lights out. He tried again but still the light would not turn on. He then heard something crawling up the walls outside. Which scared him. "Carol, Carol!" said, waking her up. "Hmm, Erik what's?" She asked. "Shh listen!" He told her. Carol laid still and heard something on their roof. "What is that?" She asked. "I don't know but I'm going to!" He said, covering his ears from the loud screech. Rebecca woke up screaming and scared. "Erik!" She cried. As Erik rushed to her room. "It's alright sweetie I'm here!" He said, holding her. "What was that sound?" She asked. "Don't worry about it, I'm here to protect you!" He said, still holding her, as they heard the screeches again.

By morning, Jean was asleep on her desk with the candle still going nearby, she woke up to a knock at her door. She looked at her watch and gasped. The knocking continued. "Jean it's me Charles!" She heard "Oh no!" She said, answering the door. "Oh, I'm so sorry Professor!" She told him, letting him in. "It's quite alright Jean!" He said, wheeling in. "It's so unlike me to sleep in!" She told him, grabbing her books and packing them into her bag "It happens to all of us, I'm just glad you're okay!" Charles said, as Jean blew out the candle and passed him. As she passed him, he sensed Patrick, Charles looked at Jean as she headed down the hallway. Soon she had her coat on and was heading out the door. Charles watched her leave from the window and remembered Lilandra's warning. "One of your X-men is in grave danger!" He remembered.

Soon Jean arrived at the college she attends. She walks up the steps to the college. She pauses and takes a deep breath. "Here we go!" She said, before entering. "Good luck Jean!" Patrick told her, in her mind. Jean smiled then headed in.

At another part of the city Adwin enters a bar and sits down and orders a drink. "I'll have a beer!" He said, the bartender leaves to get his drink then comes back and puts his drink in front of him. Adwin watches TV while he drinks his beer.

Soon after Jean came home, it was time for practice in the Danger room. All the X-men entered the Danger room. "Remember my X-men, work as a team!" Charles replied, activating the Danger room hologram program. The X-men find themselves surrounded in ruin buildings and fires. "Move out and keep an eye out for anything!" Scott ordered, as they all moved out.

At the bar, Adwin is still sitting at the bar drinking his beer and watching the news about his creatures. He grins and drinks.

Back in the Danger room, Jean walks carefully with the others, taking down targets as they went. In the control room, Charles monitors their progress. Unaware that a black mist slips into the controls and takes over. Right away Charles notices something was wrong. "What? What in the world? Scott, Scott somethings wrong, I've lost control!" He cried. Just when there was a spark. Charles quickly backed away. At that same moment Jean could hear Patrick's cries. "Scott, Scott somethings wrong!" She told him. Scott tried his com link. "Professor, Professor come in!" He said, on his com, but got static. Suddenly Rockets and killer robots activated. "I can't reach him!" He said, as the rockets hit close by. "Back to the door move!" Scott ordered, as they fought off killer robots on the way back to the danger room doors. More rockets flew near them and exploded all around them. While more robots attacked them, which they destroyed. Soon they reached the doors, but they couldn't open it. "It won't open!" Scott cried, as more rockets flew toward them. "Stand clear!" Logan cried, as they moved away. Logan brought out his claws and sliced open the doors, once the doors were sliced open they all rushed in and the program immediately shut down. Scott and the others stood there, catching their breaths. "Is everyone alright?" Charles asked, wheeling in. "Yeah, I think so. What the hell was that all about?" Scott asked, as Jean touched her shoulder and noticed blood on her hand. "Scott!" She said, holding her shaking bloody hand up. "Jean, Jean!" Scott cried, grabbing her as she fainted. "Jean!" Logan cried. "Professor!" Scott cried. "Get her to the infirmary at once!" Charles cried. Just as Scott picked her up and carried her out of the danger room.

At White cliff Erik watched Rebecca playing with her dolls. "Erik are you okay? You been watching Rebecca for a while now?" Carol asked. "Yeah, everything is fine!" Erik said, hearing Rebecca giggling. "So, I asked around about the loud noise we heard last night and it turns out we're not the only ones who heard those things last night, apparently everyone in town heard them!" Carol said. "Everyone heard those things last night, Incredible!" He said, watching Rebecca playing.

Back at the Mansion in the Infirmary, Jean was still out cold. In the lab Jean's blood results were back and when Hank read the results, he was shocked. "Hank!" Charles said, as he and Scott came in. "Professor, Jean's blood results are in, you're not going to believe this sir!" He said, handing him the results. Both Scott and Charles looked at the results. "You got to be kidding, she's pregnant!" Scott said. "Are you certain about this Hank?" Charles asked. "I can test her blood again, but I'm certain the results will be the same!" Hank said, unaware that Jean was awake. "Why, why wouldn't she tell me she's Pregnant?" Scott asked. "I was going too!" She said, getting up, as they approached her. "I just wasn't sure how you would react to me carrying an alien baby!" She said. "Alien, you're carrying an alien?" Scott asked, in shock. "I am. His name is Patrick and he's needs our help!" Jean said. "Why does he need our help, Jean?" Charles asked. "Someone is trying to kill him and me!" Jean said.

Soon Hank was doing an ultrasound on Jean as she told them everything about Patrick. "And that the story Professor!" She told them. "I see, so that's who I sensed back in your room this morning, the baby your now carrying!" Charles said. "Here he is Professor!" Hank said, as they all looked at the screen. "Judging by his sizes, I say she's in her first month!" Hank said, taking the wand off and Jean was given a wipe to clean her belly off. "Uhm Jean, may I scan his mind?" Charles asked. "Of course, Professor!" She said, laying still for him, Charles then touched her belly and as soon as he did, He saw everything Patrick saw. "Do you see him, that's him, that's the monster that hunts me!" Patrick said, "Patrick? Do you know why he wants you dead?" Charles asked, kneeling to his height. "No, I only know he want to kill me?" Patrick said. Charles quickly took hand off her belly "Interesting. I saw everything. This poor boy is being hunted by another alien creature that I can't even describe. He's been hiding all over the galaxy from this Adwin!" He said, "Does he know why he's being hunted?" Scott asked. "No, he doesn't know why he want him dead!" Charles said.

Chapter Five.

Soon it was night and both Scott and Jean walked to Jean's room. On the way there, Jean heard the lady's voice again. "Jean Grey, come to White cliff. Your professor and friends cannot protect you, Come to me, before it's too late!" She heard. "Jean, are you okay, you look a bit out of it!" He said, holding hand with her. "Yes, I'm fine!" She told him. "Are you sure?" He asked, just when she kissed him. "I'm sure!" She said, smiling.

Outside the Mansion, Adwin walks down the road and stops when he sees the mansion. He then pets one of his Darklings and grins.

Back in the mansion. Jean was ready for bed and Scott was going to stay with her. Jean yawned as she laid down and went to sleep. "Sweet dreams Jean!" Scott said, covering her up and sitting beside her, when the lights started to flicker. This time it was Scott who heard Patrick's cries. "He's here, he's here!" He heard, just when the lights went out completely.

Out in the hall Charles sensed someone in the mansion, when the lights flickered then went out. Which he reacted to, as did the kids. "What's going on?" they all asked, standing outside their bedrooms. "Back to your rooms and stay in there no matter what happens. Go on now!" He said, as they all entered their rooms and closed and locked the doors behind them. That's when Charles sensed the intruder in his room, he carefully entered his room noticing how dark it was in there. Suddenly Charles was grab out of his wheelchair and pinned to a wall. "Good evening, Charles Xavier!" Adwin said, holding him to the wall. Charles quickly put his hand onto Adwin head and reads his mind, before Adwin dropped him to the floor. "Adwin, Adwin. I know, I know why you're here Adwin. I know what you've been doing and I know why you want Patrick dead. But it won't work, he will be born and he will destroy you!" Charles said. "No, he won't. This child will not destroy me!" Adwin said, as his creatures came in. Stay with him my pets, he tries anything, eat him!" he told them, heading out the door.

Logan walks down hall with Storm, Kurt and Peter, when suddenly Logan smelled an intruder. "Someone's here!" he said, rushing down the hall only to be attacked by Darklings. Logan brought out his claws. "Split up, take them out!" Storm said, as the four of them split up. Logan struck the beast, but no damage was done. He struck it again with the same results. "What the hell are you?" Logan asked, getting attacked. Storm used her wind powers to pick up several of them, then dropped them with no effect, Peter raced around one of them punching it multiple times. When he was done running, he saw to his surprise the beast still standing. The Darkling shook off the punches and quickly attacked. Kurt quickly reached Peter and teleported him to safety. "Thanks Kurt!" He said, as more of them came in and surrounded them.

Adwin and some of his Darklings made their way down the hallway towards Jean's room. When suddenly a bright beam streaked by them, taking out his Darklings. Adwin quickly moved from sight. Scott carefully searched for him ahead. When more Darklings charged at him. Scott took quick care of them and continued to search for Adwin, unaware that he was behind him. Scott quickly turned around, only to be knocked out. "Stupid boy!" he said, moving on.

In Charles's room. Charles laid very still when he heard a little girl's voice. "Close your eyes tightly!" He heard in his mind and did as asked. Just when several metal balls were thrown in through the window and a bright light burst out of them. Charles covered his ears as the Darklings screeched loudly then it became silent. Logan and three others huddled together as the Darklings drew closer. "Isn't there anything that hurt these dam things?" Logan shouted. When suddenly they too heard a child's voice in their minds and quickly did as asked, as more metal balls came through the windows and burst into light. Killing every Darkling.

Adwin had reached Jean's door and was about to enter when more of the metal balls were thrown into the mansion and burst into a bright light. Adwin cried out and retreated while all his Darklings in the mansion died.

Charles's eyes were still closed afraid of opening them. "Charles, Charles, open your eyes, Charles!" He heard. Charles opened his eyes and there sitting beside him was Lilandra. "Hello Charles!" She said, smiling at him. "Lilandra!" He cried, just as she kissed him.

Scott woke up with his head pounding. "Scott!" Storm cried, rushing to his side. "Are you okay?" Storm asked. "Yeah, I'm fine!" He said, getting up and rushed to Jean's room and found her gone. "Jean, Jean!" He cried, looking for her. Logan and Kurt entered. "She's gone!" Scott said.

Chapter Six.

At Erik's house. Erik couldn't sleep he just laid there for a moment before getting up and headed downstairs to the kitchen where he made himself some coffee. He sat watching the news while drinking his coffee. "Erik. are you okay?" Carol asked. "Yeah, I'm fine, I just can't sleep!" He said, drinking his coffee. Carol sat with him and the two watched TV together. soon the news came on again and talked about the strange sightings. "Look at this, what are those things? Why are they here?" He asked. "I don't know sweetie, I just don't know!" She said, cuddling with him.

By morning Charles and his X-men were in the meeting room with Lilandra. "Repairs are under way upstairs!" Charles reported. "Professor, what's going on? Who was that guy? "Scott asked. "That was Adwin, Scott. He's an alien being who's here to destroy our world. His plans are to destroy all life in the entire universe and cover the galaxy in darkness!" Charles told them. "Destroy us!" Kurt said. "Yes and unless he is stopped, he will become victorious!" Lilandra told them. "So, how do we stop this Adwin and his creatures. I tried slicing those things in half, didn't work?" Logan asked. "That's because you can't kill them that way. Darklings are immune to physical attack. The only thing that can hurt them is Natural light. As for their master, there is only one who can stop Adwin and save all the galaxy now, but he's not even born yet!" Lilandra said. "Patrick!" Charles said. "Yes!" Lilandra said. Who's this Patrick?" Peter asked. "Patrick is the name of the alien baby, Jean's pregnant with!" Scott told them. "What?" Logan cried, in shock. "Jean's Pregnant with an alien?" Storm asked, also in shock "Yes, she is!" Charles said. "Charles it is important that this child makes it to birth, He's the only one who can stop Adwin and his Darklings from destroying the galaxy!" Lilandra told him. "Don't worry Lilandra, he'll make it, they both will. Once I use Ceribro to find them!" Charles said. "These metal balls are fascinating!" Hank said, looking at one while holding it. "Lilandra tell me about the children who threw these balls through my windows?" Charles asked. "The Arellians. They're race have been allies to my people for many years!" Lilandra said. "Can you tell me where they are now?" Charles asked. "I'm sorry Charles, but I don't know where they are, they could be anywhere on this planet!" Lilandra told them.

Jean wakes up and finds herself in a strange bedroom. She got up and looked around. Then she saw a group of children looking at her from the doorway. The kids whispered to each other in their language. When a woman carrying a tray walked up to them. She spoke to them in their alien language and the kids ran off to play. The woman then carried the tray into the room. "Good morning, Lady Jean. How are you today?" She asked, putting the tray down. "Where am I and who are you?" She asked. "I am Filla, one of Empress Lily's servants and I have been asked by her highness to care for you today!" she said, lifting the lid off. "Breakfast my lady?" she said. Jean approached the tray. "Well, I am hungry, Thank you!" Jean said. "You're welcome. By the way her majesty will see you soon!" Filla said. Just then there was a knock at the door. The two of them turn to the door. As a group of women stepped in and curtsied. "My Lady, I am Nana her highness's head midwife. "We've come to check up on you and the baby!" She told her. "I'll check on you later!" Filla said, walking out of the room closing the doors behind her.

Back at the mansion. Charles stops in front of Ceribro and gets his eye scanned. "Welcome Professor!" Ceribro said, opening its doors. Charles wheels in and up to the helmet. Ceribro doors shut, as Charles put on the helmet and began the search for Jean.

Outside of Ceribro, Scott and the other X-men wait for Charles to come out. Lilandra was also waiting for Charles.

Ceribro moves across the country but when it gets close to a location the vision becomes blocked by someone.

A few minutes later Charles came out of Ceribro. "Well, Professor!" Kurt asked. "Did you find her?" Scott asked. "No, I couldn't find her, someone is blocking Ceribro. Preventing me from finding her!" Charles said. "I know who is blocking you Charles, Lily!" She said, "Lily?" Charles asked. Empress Lily, Patrick's real mother, she's a very good friend of mine, she and I are like sisters!" Lilandra said. "If she's a friend of yours, then why is she keeping us from finding Jean?" Scott asked, in a worried voice. "I don't think it's you she's hiding her from!" She told him. "Adwin!" Charles said.

Chapter Seven.

Back at the Arellians base. Jean walks the halls. As she walks, she looks at all the Paintings of Lily, her husband and all of their sixty one children. Jean heard whispering ahead of her and saw the kids again. Jean smiled, just as the kids ran off. "Excuse me, my lady. Please follow me!" A man said, as Jean followed him down the hall and into the tearoom. He shut the doors once Jean was inside. Jean looked ahead. "Good morning, Jean!" She heard. There in one of the seats was Empress Lily surrounded by some of her Children. Lily talked to them in their language and they all ran out of the room. "I hope you are being cared for while you're here?" She said, drinking her tea. "You, You're the one who told me to come here?" Jean said. "Yes, I am and it's a good thing my people saved you when they did. Adwin was close to killing you both!" Lily said, drinking her tea. "Why don't you come and sit down and have some tea with me?" Lily asked. As Jean walked to the table and sat down as one of Lily's butlers poured her some tea. Jean scanned Lily's mind and gasped. "You, you're Patrick's mother!" She said, in shock. "Yes I am!" she said. "How did you lose him?" Jean asked, As Lily sadly sighed. "I lost him a really long time ago. When I was one month pregnant with him, he was taken from me by someone with powers beyond anything we've ever seen!" Lily said, sadly. "I'm so sorry!" Jean said, feeling sorry for her. "It's quite alright. I now know he's safe within you!" She told her, smiling.

Down a snowy highway Adwin walks the dark and cold road. As he walks, a driver sees him and pulls beside him. "Hey buddy you lost, need a lift?" The driver asked. "No thanks pal, I know where I'm going, but thank you for asking!" Adwin said. "Okay pal, have a good night!" He said, driving off. Adwin waited until the car was a foot away before he used his mist powers to pop his tires and made the driver lose control and drive off the road. Adwin watched as three of his Darklings rushed to the car. He then hears the man screaming in horror before he grins and moves on.

White Cliff December 24th. It was Christmas eve, in Erik's house a Christmas party was in full swing. "Aw Susan, Bob, how are you?" Carol asked, getting kissed on the cheek by Bob. At the Christmas tree, Rebecca looks at all the presents under the tree. "Hey those are for tomorrow young lady!" Erik said, "I know they are and I wasn't going to touch them, I just like to look at them because they are so pretty! Rebecca told him. "Me too!" Erik confessed, smiling, as they both admired the tree and presents.

At the mansion the kids were all outside playing in the snow. While inside Charles watches from the window, he stares at Scott who stands in the snow alone. Just then Lilandra hugged him from behind. "Merry Christmas Charles!" She said, cuddling with him. "Merry Christmas Lilandra!" He said, taking her hand. Scott watches the kids play then he stared up to the sky. "Merry Christmas Jean!" He said, as the snow began to fall.

At the Arellian Base. Some of the Arellian children were also outside having fun. Inside Lily watches a Christmas concert. In her room Jean looks at her Christmas tree in the room before going to her window and watches the snow falling. "Merry Christmas Scott!" She said, watching the snow fall and hearing the Arellians singing carols.

On the other side of New York. A group of men came out of bar happily laughing, when they noticed Adwin leaning on a street pole. "Hey guys, look at this guy!" one of them said, as they approached him. "Hey Pal, what's up?" another asked. Adwin turned to them and stared. "What are you doing out here in the cold?" Another asked. As they surrounded him the streetlight above them began to flicker which got one of the men's attention. The other men continue to harass Adwin, while other man stared at the streetlight. "Uhm guys, guys!" He cried. The other men finally looked at him just then the streetlights went out and the men started running off screaming, they didn't get far as their screams went silent. Adwin walked up to one of his Darklings and pet him. "Good boys!" He said, as his Darklings rushed off to hunt some more.

March 12th At the mansion. Charles came out of Ceribro after another attempt on finding Jean. "Anything?" Hank asked. As Charles sadly sighed. "Nothing. I'm still getting blocked!" Charles told him, as they headed to the elevator. In the elevator Charles heard Lily's voice in his mind. "The darkness is coming!" He heard, they then got off the elevator. "Professor, Hank come and look at this!" Peter said, as they followed him into the TV room. Charles and Hank both joined the others as they watched the news. The news was about the panic shopping that has been going on for weeks now, as people buy all the candles, lanterns and wood they can carry. Charles heard Lily again. "The Darkness is coming!" He heard.

Soon he and Lilandra headed down the hall together. "So, you heard Lily's voice?" She asked. "Yes, and she said the darkness is coming. Do you know what she's talking about?" Charles asked, as they entered his office to talk in private. "Sadly I do and it's not going to be pleasant. The last planet we tried to save from Adwin, he covered the entire planet in darkness to allowed his Darklings to roam the planet freely without the worry of Sunlight. That when we decide to evacuate the planet and save as many people as we could, which was not a lot!" Lilandra said, sadly. "I'm sorry, but what does that mean for us, surely we cannot evacuate the Planet!" Charles said, wheeling to his desk. "No, we can't, but do not worry, I believe Lily already has a plan in motion that is preparing your people and the planet for what is coming!" She told him. "The panic, your friend is causing this?" Charles asked. "Yes, I'm afraid so" She told him.

In his backyard, Erik chop up wood. While in the front, Carol drives up the driveway. She stepped out of her car and walked to the back yard. "Erik, you back here?" She asked. "Yes, I'm here!" He said, as he stopped chopping. "Can you help me with groceries?" She asked. "Sure!" He said, following her to the car. He opened the trunk and gasped. "What did you do, buy out the store?" He asked. "No, I bought everything I could!" She told him. "Why?" He asked. She paused for a sec. "I don't know. I have this feeling we're going to need them. Why are you chopping up wood?" She asked. He paused for a second. "I Don't know. I too had this feeling we were going to need them!" He said.

In a cabin not far from the town. Jean looks at herself the mirror, when there was a knock at the door and in came Nana with a tray. "Breakfast my lady!" she said, putting the tray down. "Oh, Thank you Nana!" Jean said, putting a photo of Scott on the mirror. "Who's that?" She asked. "Him? That's my boyfriend Scott, we've been dating for some time now!" she said, sadly sighing. "I wish he was here. If I could have just one of my friends here with me, it would be him!" Jean said, looking at his photo.

Back at the mansion. Scott was in the library reading, when he saw a vision of White Cliff. "Scott Summers, come to White Cliff!" He heard in his mind. Just then Kurt and Peter came in. "Hey Scott, want to come with us, we're going to the mall?" Peter asked. "No thanks guys, I got a lot of things to do!" Scott said, going back to his reading. "Alright your loss!" Kurt said, as they leave. Scott continued to read, when he heard it again. Scott closed his book and walked out of the library, down the hall and into the garage. He got into his car and drove out of the mansion and out of the gates. He sighed as he drove down the road. When suddenly something picked up his car. "Hey, hey!" He cried, flying away very fast. Seconds later he and his car were back on the ground. Scott got out of his car and looked around it. Seeing no one there. He sighed and got back into his car and drove back onto the road again. Suddenly he came to a stop when he saw it. There in front of him was the Mutant town of White Cliff. "Well, I'll be damned, White Cliff!" He said, reading the welcome sign. Scott drove ahead and drove through the town looking for signs of Jean. Scott stops at a red light. On the other side of the lane, Erik and Rebecca were also waiting for the light to change. As they waited, Erik thought he saw Scott in the other direction when the light changed Scott drove on, as did Erik. Scott drove out of town before turning around. Then he saw a group of kids that were not there before. He stopped beside them. "Excuse me, but I seem to be lost, can you help me, I'm trying to find someone!" He said, just when the kids pointed to the cabin. Scott looked at the cabin in the distance, he then turned back to the kids. "Thank!" He said, finding them gone. "You?" He finished. He then drove towards the cabin. Inside Jean and the girls were watching a romantic show on TV, when Jean sensed him. "Scott?" She said, getting up. Jean rushed out the door. Just as Scott drove up. Jean happily smiled, as did Scott. "Jean!" He cried getting out of the car and into her arms. The two then madly kissed. "Oh, Scott, I can't believe you're here. I missed you so much!" She said, between kisses. "I missed you so much!" he said, also between kisses, while Nana and her girls happily watched from the window. Just then Jean gasped. "What is it? What's wrong?" He asked. "He's kicking, Patrick is kicking, here feel!" She said, putting his hand on her belly. A few seconds later he felt him kicking. "Oh, oh wow. Hey there, buddy!" He said, as she smiled and giggled.

Chapter Eight.

At the Downtown mall. Everyone was still in a shopping panic. Peter and Kurt walk around. "Wow, this place is nuts!" Peter said, seeing people run out of the stores with bags in their hands and pushing carts. "You're telling me!" Kurt said, watching the chaos.

Deep in the Rocky Mountains Adwin stands on top of a mountain cliff. "Let it begin!" He said, using his mist powers to blacken the skies.

Back at White Cliff. Jean and Scott enter Sarah's Diner. "Hi there, for two?" Sarah asked. "Yes Please!" Scott said, as Sarah grabbed two menus and two Cutlery. "Right this way!" She said, leading them to a booth, as they walk to their booth, they pass Erik and Rebecca's booth. As the two of them talked, Erik noticed Scott and Jean walking by. When they got to their booth, they sat down and Sarah put down their menus and cutlery. "There you are, your server will be right with you!" She said. "Thank you!" Jean said, as Sarah left. "It's great that you're here!" Jean said. "I am too, I missed you so much!" Scott said, holding her hands. Unaware that Erik was watching them. "Erik? What's wrong?" Rebecca asked, as Erik continued watch them. "Stay here for a minute sweetie, I'll be back?" Erik said, leaving their booth and walking up to Scott and Jean's booth. "Well, well, look what we have here, a couple of Charles's students. What the hell are you doing here? Does Charles know you're here?" He asked. "No Erik, he doesn't know, none of them do!" Scott said, looking at him. "Well, I suggest you leave before he does find you. This is a sacred place for us mutants!" Erik said. "We understand that Erik and I wish we could leave, but there's an important reason why we're here!" Scott said. "Really and what reason is that?" Erik asked. When Jean sensed it. "Scott, something's coming!" Jean cried, with fear. "What? What is she talking about?" Erik asked. "Oh my god, look at that!" They heard Sarah say, looking out of the window, then she and the other rushed outside and looked to the north. Scott and Jean ran out too. Along with Erik and Rebecca and they all watch as a cloud of black mist slowly moves across the skies. "It Adwin, he's doing this!" Jean cried. "Don't worry about that now Jean, just run!" Scott cried, as they and the rest of the people started to run with fear. Erik and Rebecca ran too. Scott and Jean kept running, when the Arellians rushed in and picked them up, within seconds they were back at the cabin. "Your Ladyship!" Nana cried, as Jean and Scott both ran inside.

At the mall Kurt and Peter both saw people running out of the mall screaming. The two looked at each other before joining the crowd. They then saw why everyone was so frightened. "My god!" Peter said, also watching the black mist cover the sky. "We better head back to the Mansion!" Kurt said. "Right!" Peter said, picking Kurt up. "Hang on!" He said, rushing off with great speed.

At the Mansion, the kids all looked at sky, while Hank rushed in. "Charles, Lilandra!" He cried. Both Charles and Lilandra turned to the door and soon they headed outside and watched the Black mist cover the sky. "Oh no, it's here the darkness is here!" Lilandra cried. "Everyone inside, right now!" Charles cried, as they all rushed inside. Once inside, they closed and locked all the doors and windows.

At the Arellian base, the Arellian guards rang the warning bell. Lily looks out window and watches the cloud of black mist move over the base.

The Black mist continued to move across the sky until the entire planet was covered in darkness. That is when everything shut off, lights, vehicles, planes, everything that was electrical stopped working.

Back at the Mansion. Charles and the X-men moved everyone into the library where they started candles, Lanterns and the fireplace. "Storm is everyone accounted for?" Charles asked. "No, we're missing Scott!" She told him. "Scott!" Charles said, not sensing him. "He's gone, has anyone seen Scott?" Charles asked. "Yes, we saw him Professor!" Kurt said. "He was in this Library the last time we saw him!" Peter said. "Okay thank you!" Charles said, "Where could he have gone?" Storm asked. "Let's check the garage, I have a feeling he's with Jean?" Charles said, as they headed to the garage. When they entered, they saw that Scott's car was gone. "You were right Professor. He's found a way to Jean. What do we do now?" Storm asked. "Now we wait, that's all we can do!" Charles said, hearing loud screeches outside. "Come on we better get back to the others!" Charles said, as they left the garage.

Chapter Nine.

An hour after the darkness came, thousands of Darklings began to roam the streets of New York city, killing anyone who was still outside and had no light protection. Adwin walks the streets of New York. While his Darklings attack people running for their lives.

Back in White Cliff in an inn lobby. Mutants gathered to talk about the darkness and the creatures that now roam and hunt their streets. "What are we going to do Carol? Our streets are no longer safe and my children are scared?" A woman asked. "I know they are Debby. We are all afraid of what's out there, but as long as we stay in a lit place, we'll be okay!" Carol said. "But what are we going to do about those Creatures?" A man asked. "I'll tell you what we're going to do. We're going to fight them and take back our beloved town. How many of you have powers that create light?" Erik asked, as people raised their hands. "Good, now how many of you are willing to help me defend this town?" Erik asked. As twelve of them kept their hands up, while others put their hands down. Erik looked at those with their hands up.

"May 14th Dear diary. Today is like the day the darkness came. The streets are dark and empty. But surprisingly it was warm outside and the plants were growing and blooming. As for the Professor and all of my friends, I hope they are indoors, safe and sound!" Jean wrote.

At the mansion Storm is teaching her class, as she writes on the chalk board. "Miss Munroe!" Sally said. "Yes Sally?" Storm said, looking at her. "Is Miss Grey going to have a baby?" Sally asked. Storm stood in shock. "Where did you hear that?" She asked. "We overheard the Professor and Dr. McCoy talking about it. So, is it true?" Ian asked. Yeah, is it true Miss Munroe?" The other kids asked all at once. As Storm sighed.

Back in White Cliff, The group of twelve mutants now called the Light Mutants led by Erik, patrol the streets for the Darklings that infest their town. Later that evening, Erik comes home. He walks into the living room and finds Rebecca already asleep and Carol reading. "Hey!" He said, as Carol turned to him. "Erik your home, how was patrols today?" She asked. "It was fine. How's Rebecca?" He asked. She's fine, we did some spelling and math today!" Carol said. "That's great to hear!" He said, walking up to her as she slept by the fireplace. Erik sat by Rebecca gently touched her hair.

Elsewhere Adwin and his Darklings roam Time Square. What was once filled with lights and people was now dark and empty. Just the way he liked it. Dark and his enemies trapped indoors, afraid for their lives.

June 29th. It was raining outside with thunder and lightning. The Arellian kids frightfully laid by each other, not use to this new weather. As the lightning flashes followed by the loud thunder the little ones hide under their blankets in terror.

Inside the library they too were having a Thunderstorm, which was a blessing. It was dinnertime and everyone was eating. "So, how do you think Scott and Jean are doing? Kurt asked, eating. "Well, if they are like us they're probably bored!" Logan said, as another flash of lightning flashed and thunder roared after it. Charles watches the rain fall from the window and thinks of Scott, Jean and the little one she carries.

At the cabin the thunderstorm rages on, Nana's girls listen to the Thunder, wondering what it was. They speak to each other in their language, while Scott listened to them. "Nana, what's with your girls?" Scott asked. "Oh, this is their first summer storm ever and they are not use to it!" Nana told him. "First summer storm, you mean to tell me that your planet doesn't have summer weather?" Scott asked. No, Arella is an ice planet the only weather we get is snow and ice!" Nana said. "Really, wow!" Scott said.

At Erik's house because it was thundering outside, Erik knew the Darklings were in hiding so he was helping Rebecca with her schoolwork. Rebecca listens while Erik reads about the civil war, while the storm rages all round them. "Okay I think that's enough for today!" He said, closing the book and setting it down. "Erik, were you ever in a war?" She asked. "Yes, my dear I was. I was a prisoner during World War two. I lost my mother, my father and my closest friends!" He said, showing her his arm. "See that, that was my prison number. Everyone who was a prisoner in the camp had a number which was not a lot, they killed more people than they kept!" Erik said sadly. "I'm sorry that happened to you Erik!" Rebecca said. "Yes and sorry for what happened to you. Your father should have never done that to you!" Erik said, hearing more thunder.

July 2nd. At the mansion Charles reads to his students. As he reads, he hears Lily's voice again. "Charles, Charles Xavier come to me!" he hears. He happened to glance at the doors and saw a light go by. Charles stopped reading. "Alright, that's it for the today. Remember to do your homework for this week, I expect it to be done by Friday, class dismissed!" Charles told them, as they got up with their books and walked back to their cots. After they were gone Charles looked at the doors, just as more lights went by. Soon he opened the doors and wheeled into the dark halls, he had a lantern on his wheelchair. He closed the doors behind him before looking around and he saw the lights ahead. "Hello?" He called, wheeling down the hall. He followed the lights as they moved down the hall. "Is anyone there?" He called, still following the lights. The lights all led Charles to his study. He opened the door to his study and found the fireplace going. Charles stared at fireplace. "Hello Charles!" He heard. Charles turned to his chair and saw Lily sitting there. "It's you, your Lily!" He said, in shock. "Yes, I am and it's nice to finally meet you, Charles Xavier, Lilandra has spoken much about you. Please, come in!" Lily said. Charles wheeled into his study as two guards closed the door. "Tell me Lily, is Adwin the reason you're keeping me from finding my friends?" Charles asked. "It is. If you had managed to find Jean through your Ceribro, then Adwin would have too. So, by keeping you in the dark, I also managed to keep Adwin in the dark as well!" Lily said. "I, I understand!" He said. "Charles listen to me. The final battle against Adwin is near. You will find your lost X-men in a Mutant town called White Cliff, deep in the Mountains of Colorado. To find them and reach them, you will need these!" She said, showing him two devices. "Put one in your jet and the other in your Ceribro!" She said, as one her guards whispered something in her ear and Lily responded back in her own language. "I have to go now Charles, I will meet you, Lilandra and your X-men in White Cliff!" Lily said, handing Charles the devices. "Charles!" He heard, out in the halls. Charles looked back at Lily, only to find her and her guards gone. "Charles, Charles!" Hank calls out. Just when Charles wheeled out of his study. "There you are Charles!" Lilandra said, rushing to him. "Why did you leave the library?" Hank asked. "I'll explain on the way back!" he said, heading back to the library.

Back in White Cliff. Jean reads a book when. "Jean lunch?" Scott called. Jean put her book down and got up, her belly was huge and difficult to get up. She walked to the table and sat down. Scott put a bowl in front of her. "Here you are!" He said, sitting down himself with his own bowl. "Thank you!" She said, eating, "Scott, do you think the Professor and the others are okay? She asked. "Yes, I believe they are?" Scott said, hearing screeching outside. Scott left his seat and went to the window and looked out and heard more screeching. "I Hope they are, It's very dangerous out there!" Scott said, still looking outside. "I hope so too!" Jean said, very worried.

In town, Erik and his group of light Mutants roam the streets, taking out as many of Adwin's Darklings as possible. "Well done my brother and sisters, that takes care of this street!" Erik said, about to move on. "Man, this is pointless. Every time we kill those things more show up!" A black teen named William said. "William makes a point Sir, there does seem to be a lot of them, almost like someone is creating those things!" A little boy name Sid said. "Your right Sid, someone is creating these creatures and until that person shows himself, we must keep fighting, no matter how long it takes!" Erik said. As they all agree and they moved on.

Back at the Mansion. Charles, Logan and Hank come out of the elevator shaft to the basement level. Hank and Logan help Charles out of the shaft. "There she is, Ceribro, let's get to work boys!" Charles said. Hank opens the panel to Ceribro power core. Logan held the lantern, while Hank switches the main power core for the device Lily gave them. Once in place Ceribro powered up. "Whoa, incredible, she's up and running!" Hank said, smiling. "Help me to the door!" Charles asked, as Hank helped Charles to Ceribro's door. Once there Charles gained access. "Welcome Professor!" Ceribro said, opening its doors. The three of them entered Ceribro and helped Charles to the helmet. "You two go and insert that other device into the jet!" Charles said. What about you?" Logan asked. "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine, Now go!" He told them. "Come on Logan, let's go?" Hank said, as they left Ceribro. Charles puts on the helmet and activates Ceribro. Then begins his search for Jean and Scott.

Hank and Logan enter the hanger and carefully make their way to the Black bird through the darkness. "There it is!" He said, searching for the power panel. Once Hank found it, he opened it up. As Logan held the lantern for him, he heard a noise in the darkness. He also smelled them. "Hank those things are in here!" He said, feeling uneasy. "Almost got it" Hank said, putting the device in. "Got it!" He said, As the jet powered up. "Quick Logan this way!" Hank cried, opening the hatch and boarding the jet with Logan behind him. Hank and Logan went to the cockpit and quickly sat down. "Let's try this!" Hank said, starting up the engines. The engines started up and Hank turned on the lights, which shined on the four Darklings in the hanger. They all screeched as they died. Logan and Hank both gave themselves a thumbs up.

Back in Ceribro. Charles continues his search for Jean and Scott. This time, it didn't take him long to find them. "There you are?" He said, seeing them in a cabin not far from the town.

Soon Hank and Logan returned to Charles. Just as Charles emerged from Ceribro. "Charles, did it work, did you find them?" Hank asked. "Yes, Hank I found them, gathered Lilandra and the other X-men, we leave immediately!" Charles said.

Chapter Ten.

Three hours into roaming the streets, Erik and his Light mutants were done for the night. "Alright my fellow Mutants, that's it for tonight, go home and get some rest!" He said, "Good night!" Sid said, as they were about to leave when they heard Jet engines close by. "Hey, you hear that?" Will asked, just as the Black bird flew passed them. "Charles. Come on!" Erik said, as they followed him down the street.

At the cabin. Jean sleeps peacefully while Scott reads not far from her, he sees Jean's belly moving, he got up and approached her, he puts his hand onto her belly. "Hey there kiddo how are you doing?" he asked, hearing Patrick talking to him in his mind. Scott smiled as he felt Patrick moving. Then he heard jet engines. Nana and her girls heard them too. Scott rushed out of the room and looked out of the window and watched the Black bird land in a nearby field. Scott rushed out of the cottage as the Black bird's hatch opened and out came Charles, Lilandra and the X-men. "Professor?" Scott cried, rushing to them. "Scott, good to see you again. Where's Jean?" Charles asked, wheeling off the ramp. "She's inside sleeping!" Scott said. Inside Jean woke up. "Scott?" She said, sensing Charles, Lilandra and her friends, she quickly got up and rushed out of the room. Nana and her girls were outside when Jean stepped outside. "Professor?" She said, approaching them "My god she really is Pregnant!" Logan said, in shock. "Jean, how are you my dear. How is the little one. Hello Patrick!" He said, hearing Patrick's voice in his mind. Charles giggled. "Professor how did you find us. I thought Adwin shut everything off?" Scott asked. "I'll explain once we're inside!" Charles said, about to head in when suddenly they heard Darklings screeching. They turn to the sound to see a group of Darklings coming out of the dark. "Professor?" Scott said, holding Jean as more showed up Just then Erik and his light Mutants arrived. "Erik?" Charles said. "Go Charles, we'll handle this!" Erik said, as Charles and his X-men rushed towards the cabin. The Darklings charged and a battle began. The Light Mutants used their powers to defeat the Darklings. Charles and the others arrived at the cabin's doorway. Charles turned to watch the battle continue with the light Mutants winning. When they were finished, they walked up to the cabin. "Thank you, Erik!" Charles thanked. "I had a feeling you would come here Charles. Now you can explain what the hell is going on?" Erik asked. "Perhaps I can explain it better then Charles!" said a voice. Everyone turned to find Lily, her children and guards standing there. Nana and her ladies all curtsied.

Soon they were all inside and after Lily explained. "So, this child Jean is pregnant with is the only one that can destroy this Adwin and his creatures?" Erik asked. Yes, once my son is born and breathes for the first time, Adwin will breathe his last, until then all we have to do is survive until then!" Lily said. "Survive, how does she expect us to survive this chaos!" Will asked. We're surviving now, we just got to keep it up!" Charles said.

Soon Lily and Lilandra were talking to each other in Lily's language. Charles watches as the two of them hug. Erik then approached him. "How have you been Erik?" Charles asked. "I've been fine, I'm a family man now Charles, I have a girlfriend and a daughter!" Erik said, walking away. Storm stared at Lily's children as they all sat at the table colouring. "Tell me about Erik girlfriend?" Charles asked. "You mean Carol!" Thomas said. "Carol?" Charles asked. "Carol Caddy, Mayor, creator and founder of the Mutant town projects!" Sid said. "She secretly built four mutant towns without the human government knowing about it. She's a hero to us all, she saved so many mutant families from human violence including mine!" Gena said. "Uhm Erik, is there a way I could talk to Carol?" Charles asked. "Why do you want to talk to her for Charles, to tell her she's protecting us wrong. That we should trust the government and humans. The humans who hate us, hurt us, enslave us. No, never again!" Erik said, as the light Mutants agreed.

Soon after Erik and his team left. Lily sat with Charles. "Tell me about yourself Lily?" Charles asked. My name is Lily Ka-Mushy, and I am married to Cornelius Ka-Mushy who is also the emperor of our planet Arella. We have 61 children together!" Lily said. "61 wow that's a lot of Children, how old were you when you had your first!" Charles said, "Tell me Charles can you guess how old I am?" She asked. "Uhm, I say you're in your twenties!" He guessed. "I am 450 years old!" She said, Charles and everyone gasped in shock. "In Arellian age that is still young. My people can live up to ten thousand years!" She told them. "Tell me about your husband, where is he in all of this?" Charles asked. "My husband and my older children are on the other side of the galaxy on a mission of peace and won't be here for another several months!" She said. "I see so in other words you're stranded here with us!" Charles said, "I'm afraid so, until my husband and other children come with our ship!" She said. "Uhm Excuse me your highness but!" A guard said, whispering in her ear. "Oh, okay thank you. I'm sorry to cut this chat short Charles, but I needed back at my base, I'll see you all later!" she said, getting up and walking out.

Soon everyone was asleep. Only to be awakened by a Darkling screech, which got louder and closer. "What? What the heck?" Logan said, getting up along with Storm, Peter, Kurt and Hank. "What are they doing out there?" Peter asked. When they heard them climbing the walls and onto the roof, Logan brought out his claws when he heard them walking on the roof. "Logan don't, you know they're immune to physical attack!" Storm said. "Don't worry Logan they always climb up there, always!" Scott said, as Logan put his claws away and laid back down.

At Erik house, Erik walked in. "Carol I'm home!" He called, just when Rebecca got up from near the fireplace and ran to him "Erik!" she said, hugging him. "I'm glad your home, we were worried!" Rebecca said, still hugging him. "Well, it's alright now I'm home!" he said, seeing Carol. "Okay young lady it's bedtime!" She said, walking up to them. "Okay, good night, Erik, good night, Carol!" Rebecca said, heading back to her mattress near the fireplace. "Welcome back. So, where were you?" She asked. "I went to see an old friend of mine!" He said. "A friend, you mean Charles!" She said. "Yes and he wants to talk to you, I told him no!" Erik said. "Why not, are you afraid of what he'll tell me? That I can't handle him. Trust me sweetie, If I can handle you, I can handle your friends!" She said, kissing him. "Come on let's get some sleep!" He said, walking into the living room.

July 3rd 7 am, In the cabin, everyone was sleeping peacefully. Charles wakes up to see Nana and her girls cooking breakfast on the fireplace. They talk to each other in their language. Just when Jean came out of her room. "Good morning, Professor?" She said, stretching. "Good morning, Jean, how are you?" He asked, getting into his wheel chair. "I'm good, thanks for asking?" She said, walking to the table and sat down, and Patrick how is he today?" Charles asked. "He's good, I had a talk with Lily not too long ago and she told me that when Patrick's born, he won't remember anything, he'll just be a normal baby, But I still can't wait to see him again?" Jean said. "Why is that?" Charles asked. Because he won't be invisible anymore, People will see and hear him!" She said, happily smiling, Charles smiled too. When he heard Erik's voice. "Charles, please meet me outside!" He heard. "Excuse me, Jean!" He said, wheeling outside. Where he finds Erik, Carol and Rebecca standing outside. "Erik?" He said, "Charles Xavier, meet my family, Carol Caddy!" Erik introduced. "Hello Carol!" Charles said, shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you Charles!" Carol said. "and Rebecca!" Erik introduced, As Rebecca held onto Carol. "Hello Rebecca!" Charles said. "Hello!" Rebecca said, in a frighten voice. "It's nice to meet you!" Charles said, as Rebecca stayed close to Carol.

Soon after they were inside the cabin having tea. "So, how do you like White Cliff so far!" Carol asked, drinking her tea. "It a nice place, but why keep it a secret?" Charles asked. "For the same reason you keep your Mutant school a secret, to keep yourselves safe from human violence!" Carol said. "What about the government?" Charles asked. "What about them. Look Charles, my towns are not going anywhere and I don't give a dam what the government or the humans think, I will do whatever it takes to protect my people and their families!" Carol said, drinking her tea.

After tea, Charles and Erik had a private talk. "That's quite a family you got there Erik!" Charles said. They're the greatest, especially Rebecca, after what she went through, she deserves a great family!" Erik said. "You mean after what her father did?" Charles asked. "You read her mind didn't you?" He asked. "Yes and I know how her father betrayed her, stabbed her in the back and left her to die!" Charles said. "Yes and if I had not found her when I did, she would have died!" Erik said. "I'm sorry, I sensed something bad had happened to her!" Charles said.

Soon after Erik and his family went home. By the afternoon Lunch was served. During lunch Charles received a telepathic message from Lily. "Charles, I need you and Lilandra, meet me at my base, we have a situation. My guards outside will bring you to me! He heard. "Lilandra!" He said, "Yes Charles, I sensed it, Lily needs to see us!" She said. "Hank, you and the others stay here with Jean, I'll be back!" He said, wheeling out of the cabin, where her guards were waiting for them.

Once they were at the base they were escorted into the building. As they headed to the council room, they saw Lily's children being taken to safety by their nannies. They entered the council room where Lily and her advisers spoke in their language. "Charles, Lilandra, thank you for coming!" She said, very worried. "What is it my friend, what is wrong?" Lilandra asked. "It's Adwin, he knows where Jean is and he's coming with an army like we've never seen before!" Lily said, Both Charles and Lilandra stared with concern. "Are you certain Lily?" Lilandra asked. "Yes, I sensed him and his creatures!" She said, as one of her advisers spoke in their language. "Charles if Adwin has found where Jean is hiding, then he must know something we don't?" Lilandra said, in his mind. "Your right Lilandra. I got to get back to her!" He said, in her mind.

The Cabin 2 pm. Jean who was reading and started to feel uncomfortable. She sighed and put her book down. She then got up to go to the bathroom. When she heard Patrick's voice. "Jean!" She heard. "Patrick?" she said, hearing nothing. Suddenly her water broke. Jean gasped. "Jean!" Scott cried, as he, Hank and Storm rushed to her. "Are you okay?" Scott asked, with concern. "No, my water just broke!" She said, "Oh God!" Scott said. "Don't worry my lady, we're here?" Nana said, as she and her girls approached her. "You're in good hands. Come on, let's get you to bed!" Nana said, helping her to her room.

Back at the Arellian Base. Charles hears Scott's voice. "It's Scott!" He said, Listening. "Jean's water has broke. Now I really have to get back!" He said, when suddenly, warning bells rang and a guard came in and talked to Lily in their language. "What did he say Lily?" Charles asked. "one of my scouts has spotted Adwin and his Darklings heading for White Cliff!" Lily told them.

While a mile from White Cliff Adwin walked towards White cliff. with his army of Darklings behind him.

Lily looks out the window before turning to Everyone in the room. She then spoke to them in her language, about the situation, she then called over the guard and gave him orders to prepare the others for battle. The guard then bowed and rushed out the door. "Charles let's get you back to Jean and don't worry about the rest of White Cliff I have already warned them!" Lily said. While in the weapons room, Lily's soldiers picked up their weapons and headed out.

In White Cliff. Families left their homes and ran down the street towards the only Church in town. At Erik's house, Carol locks up the house. "Carol, Carol!" He called. "Erik?" She said, turning to him. "Are you and Rebecca heading for the Church?" He asked. "Yes, why aren't you coming?" She asked him. "No, I'm heading to the front with the Light mutants. You and Rebecca go and keep everyone calm and safe, go now!" He said, as they joined the others and headed for the Church. While Erik and his Light Mutants headed towards the front of the town.

Chapter Eleven.

Back at the cabin, Logan and the others waited outside Jean's bedroom. Just when Hank came out. "Well, how is she?" Logan asked. "She's fine, so far she's handling the pains well!" Hank said. "How long do you think it will be before she gives birth?" Peter asked. "It will be a while, she's only two centimetres!" Hank said, just when Charles arrived. "Professor!" Kurt said. "Where's Jean?" He asked. "In her room Professor, with Scott and the midwives!" Storm said. "Alright, listen up Adwin knows where we are. He's already on his way to White Cliff with an army of Darklings, so head back to the jet and suit up!" Charles told them. "You got it Professor!" Kurt said, as they all headed outside to the jet. Charles meanwhile enters the room and finds Jean in bed with Scott beside her. Jean breathes in and out. "Hey Professor!" Scott said, holding Jean's hand. Charles approached them. "How are you doing Jean?" He asked. "I'm okay, the pains are not too bad!" She said, still holding Scott's hand. "That because your still in early labour my lady, your contractions will get stronger as you progress, but you're strong and I know you will handle this very well!" Nana told her. Just when another contraction came. "Excuse me!" Jean said, breathing again.

At the front of White Cliff. Erik had created a barricade out of vehicles, then waited. By nine pm, they began to hear movement within the Darkness. Then they saw Adwin and his army of Darklings approaching. "Get ready my fellow mutants, the enemy is upon us!" Erik cried. As they ready themselves. The Darkling all screeched out loudly. Adwin then gave them the signal to attack and the Darklings screeched and charged. The Light Mutants charged at them as well and they collided.

The contractions were getting stronger by the minute. Jean who was now screaming in pain. Outside the room Logan pastes back and forth. "This is taking too long!" He said. "Patience Logan, having a baby is a long and painful Process!" Charles said, hearing a knock at the door. Logan answered it. "Yeah, what is it?" Logan asked. "My Lord, her highness Lily has sent us here to help you battle Adwin and his Darklings!" A Soldier said. "Great we need all the help we can get!" Logan said. "Is it alright for us to come in and prepare?" He asked. "Sure!" Logan said, letting them in.

At the front of White Cliff. The battle continued Erik helped by lifting cars up, while Sid quickly touched them and made them glow, Erik would then toss them onto the battlefield and a light exploded from them taking out a lot of the Darklings.

At the cabin Lily's soldiers keep a lookout for Darklings. Inside Logan watches as some of the soldiers and archers prepare their weapons. He watched as the soldiers rub a glowing oil onto their blades. "Hey, what is that stuff?" Logan asked. "It's glowing oil, we usually use it to blind our enemies, but it works great for killing Darklings. Want to try some, it's not toxic?" He asked, holding the bottle in front of him. Logan took the bottle, He then brought out his claws and rubbed the oil on each of them. Then looked at them as they glow brightly. Hank and Kurt picked up swords and held them. Peter took a bow and looked at it as a girl archer smiled and gave him some light arrows. Suddenly they heard screeches and shouting outside. "Darklings!" a soldier cried, they all headed outside with the X-men. They looked out at the darkness, as they came charging out of the darkness. "Let's do this!" Logan cried, bringing out his glowing claws.

In the Church Everyone was frightened, children were crying. "It's going to be okay everyone, just stay calm?" Carol cried, frightened herself.

The battle was becoming too much for the Light Mutants, as more Darklings appeared. "Give up mutants. You are no match for me! Adwin cried. "Erik, Erik we can't keep this up, there's too many of them! Thomas said, just when he was killed by a Darkling. Erik and Sid backed away, as four Darklings surrounded them. But seconds before they charged a light arrow struck one of them, killing it. Erik turned to find an Arellian archer ready to fire again. "Shut your eyes Mutants!" She cried. Erik and Sid did as asked as she fired a light arrow at the ground that burst into a bright light, which killed the three remaining Darklings. Erik and Sid opened their eyes to see the archer rushed off to the front. They then saw a whole army of them rushing into battle with Lily and Lilandra watching from behind.

11 pm. At the cabin, more Darklings charged out of the darkness, only to be blasted with light. Logan charged into battle striking each one very quickly with his glowing claws. While Storm flew up and created a lightning storm. Peter and the archer girl quickly rushed around and shot several Darklings. Hank and Kurt had light weapons in their hands along with their powers they took down many Darklings. As they battled, they could hear Jean screaming in pain. The contractions were very strong now and were only to get stronger. Outside the room Charles hated to hear Jean in such pain and wished he could take her place. hearing her screams again.

At the battle, the Arellian army and the Light mutants were doing well keeping Adwin and his Darklings at bay. Until some of the Darklings broke through the barricade. That's when Adwin made his move. He used his mist to blind his enemies and entered the town. In his mist form he quickly headed down the street towards the Cabin. Lily called some of her soldiers and ordered them to the cabin, while Lilandra warned Charles that Adwin had broken through the barricade and was heading his way. "Charles? Charles? Adwin is coming!" Charles heard, receiving Lilandra's warning. "X-men!" He called them through his mind. "We read you Professor" Storm said in her mind, still fighting off the Darklings. "Get ready, he's coming, Adwin is coming!" He told them, in their minds.

Chapter Twelve.

It was now July 4th 1 Am and Jean was now 10 centimetres and ready to push. "It's time!" Nana said. Outside the Arellian soldiers and X-men fought off the Darklings.

While inside Jean began to push, as the girls prepared the room for the baby. Adwin got closer to the cabin, taking out anyone who stood in his way.

Jean painfully screamed as she pushed. As directed by Nana. Scott stayed by her side and held her hand, he too coached her to Push.

Adwin was a foot from the cabin and slowly approached it. When he jumped out of harm's way, as a polo arm struck the ground, held on by Empress Lily. "That's a far as you go Adwin!" Lily said. "Out of my way Arellian!" He said, as Lily pointed her Polo arm at him. "I will not let you near my son?" She said, as Jean breathed in pain. "Your son dies today as do you all!" He said, about to attack her when, "No!" Charles cried, attacking Adwin's mind. Jean took a deep breath and pushed one last time and out came Patrick. But something was wrong he wasn't crying. "What's wrong, is he okay?" Jean asked. As Nana carried him to the girls who tried to get him breathing. Why, why isn't he crying?" She asked, scared. "What's wrong?" Scott asked. "We can't get him to breathe!" Nana said. "No!" Jean cried.

The battle outside continued Charles continued to attack Adwin's mind. "Dam you Charles, do you think you can stop me?" He asked. "I'll do what is necessary to stop you Adwin!" Charles said. "As well I?" Lily said, holding her weapon at him.

"Here, give him to me!" Scott said, as one of the girls quickly handed Patrick to him. and Scott began mouth to mouth. "Come on, come on kid breathe!" He said, still doing mouth to mouth, while Jean watched with worry and fear. "Come on my son breathe!" He cried. Then he heard a whimper. Scott quickly pinched the bottom of his foot and finally Patrick cried. "Good boy, good boy!" He said, relieved to hear him crying. Seconds after Patrick cried, all Darklings around the planet began to die. "No, no, it can't be!" Adwin cried, gasping for air, "It can't end like this!" He gasped falling to his knees Adwin looked up at Lily as he began to turn to ash. "The galaxy was mine!" He said, for the final time. Lily watched as the wind blew his ashes away, then she walked away.

At the cabin Jean rests in bed as Nana who was holding Patrick hands him to her. "Hi, hi Patrick!" She said, as he looked at her with his turquoise eyes. "I'm so glad you're okay!" She said, touching the red streak in the front of his hair. Scott looked at him. "Oh, Jean, Jean he's beautiful!" He said, looking at him. "You did a wonderful job!" Scott said, Kissing her. Jean smiled, as Scott took a hold of Patrick while Jean went into a healing sleep.

By morning the sun rises again, the Mutants hiding in the church came out, Carol looks ahead and sees eleven Light mutants walking by them, then they saw Erik. "Erik!" Rebecca cried, running to him and Erik picked her up and hugged her. Carol sighed a big relief, as Erik carried Rebecca to her and the two kissed, then hugged.

At the cabin Jean who was sleeping wakes up. "Good morning, Jean!" Charles said. "Professor?" She said, looking at him. "How are you feeling?" He asked. "Sore, but happy!" She said, sitting up. "Where is he?" She asked. "With his mother!" Charles said, looking at Lily, who sits by the window holding Patrick as he slept, just as some of her children came in and looked at their new baby brother. "That's our new baby brother!" one of them said, giggling. "Lily!" Charles said, As Lily looked over at Jean, "Hey, welcome back!" She said, looking at Patrick. "He's beautiful Jean, thank you for keeping him safe!" She said. "My lady we must leave the temperature is rising! A guard said. "Yes just one second. Jean I would like Patrick to stay with you for the time being!" Lily said, handing him to Scott. "Why where are you going?" Jean asked. My people and I don't do well in hot temperatures, So, we need to go and hide where it is much colder! Lily said, getting up. "But how will we find you?" Jean asked. Don't worry you will know when it's time to search for us!" She told her, then she and her guards and children left.

Two days later at the mansion, classes were back in session again. Jean along with Patrick walks down the hallway to Charles's study. Patrick who's in a baby wrap carrier sleeps. Jean knocks on the door and waits. "Come in Jean!" Charles said, as Jean opened the door and came in. "Here are your Papers Professor!" She said, "Aw!" his class cried, gathering around Jean and Patrick. "Thank you my dear, I was waiting for these!" He said, as his class admired the baby.

At White Cliff Carol and Erik both walked Rebecca to the school bus, all of them were happy, laughing and smiling.

Somewhere in Antarctica, the Arellian children were having fun chasing each other in the snow while their mother and guards watched them and walk around.

Later that day in the mansion, Logan walks down the hall to Patrick's new room, Logan quietly enters the room and sees Patrick lying awake in his crib. He looks down at the kid and smiles, he then pulls out a blue stuff bunny out of a shopping bag. "Nice to meet you, Patrick!" He said, putting the bunny beside him. "Welcome to X-men kid!" Logan said, smiling.
