Hello everyone and welcome! It's been a while since I last saw you all and I am happy to be back with a brand new story.

After I completed my SAO story, my friend was generating images on DeviantArt and came up with an incredible world of prehistoric dinosaurs. His images were very inspiring as it made me want to write a story based around those pictures.

With that being said, I hope you enjoy this!

Chapter One

Hidden within the vast blue ocean, lies a large island. Its mountains are so tall and so wide, they act as a wall sharp stone enclosing this mysterious island. Nothing can enter or leave this forsaken place.

Past the barrier of rock, at the center of this large body of land, are dense and lush jungles. The trees of this vast biome twist and curl over one another, reaching for any drop of sunlight. Vines entangle these jungles, while every bush and small plant grew wildly on the floor of mud and dirt. The air itself could be seen as dense fogs rolled their way through the maze of mass vegetation.

Life within this jungle was cruel. Every creature that resided on this island, sought only one goal - survive.

Deep within the jungles of this primordial island, a heard of large apes could be seen. However these creatures were different for their species was called Ungana.

The males grew up to seven feet tall, while the females were only six feet tall as they carried infants on their backs. Every ape possessed large arms, muscular legs, and a variety of traits similar to humans. However, none compared to the leader of this tribe.

Standing at almost eight feet tall, their leader was a silverback gorilla with a strong jawline whose teeth poked out of his mouth. His mate was young female who bared brown fur and had an elegant posture. Their infant was a male with brown fur, inheriting his mother's looks but would soon grow up to be just like his father, a leader.

Walking straight in a line through the dense foliage, this troop of gorillas walked along a trail they have known for all their lives. As they traversed across the jungle, their leader stopped. Every one of these apes stopped as they heard strange noises echoing through the trees.

Screams of fear and terror tore through the jungle. The leader narrowed his vision and sharpened his ears, listening to whatever chaos was unfolding nearby. Imagination soon became a reality as a large tyrannosaurus wandered beside the Ungana.

However this species of dinosaur was different. Growing up to forty feet long, and standing at fifteen feet tall, the apex predator of this island took notice of these apes.

While his skin was a dull shade of grey, his eyes were glowing yellow and were hidden deep inside bone that encased the reptile's head, giving it a hardened shell to protect itself. Along the back of the creature was a strong spinal bone as large ribs gave this dinosaur protection from the side, making his belly and under jaw its only weak points.

As the skull rex stared at the gorillas, red blood dripped from its near white mouth. It would seem that whatever this creature was feasting on, was the source of all the strange noises.

Without wasting another moment, the large predator charges towards the family of Ungana. Roaring at the top of its lungs, the skull rex attempted to eat the leader's mate.

Fear and chaos ensued as the female ape turned and ran with her infant while her mate charged towards the dinosaur.

The leader ran towards the rex and slammed his large fist into the reptiles nose cause the rex to only stumble. The blow was not effective as the dinosaur stopped for only a brief moment. But this moment was all the Ungana needed as several males rallied behind their leader.

While he watched his easy meal escape, along with the other females and infants, the skull rex watched the males puff out their chests and beat them with their own fists, showing him that they knew no fear.

The gorillas took advantage of this moment of disorientation as one Ungana grabbed hold of a large rock and threw it at the roaring dinosaur. Others joined in as more apes began to throw large branches and clumps of mud while they howled their voices. Some of the mud smeared in one of the skull rex's eyes and the dinosaur soon became scared and confused.

This was the moment the leader had been waiting for as he soon charged at the reptile and grabbed a large sharp rock that fell on the ground. The other apes watched and howled in excitement when they saw their leader leap into the air and jam the sharp rock in the dinosaur's eye.

Blood sprayed on the leader's face as he saw the glowing yellow eye become drenched with the color of red.

The pain was too much for the tyrannosaurus to bear as he managed to shake off the male Ungana off of him before swatting the ape with his large tail. The gorilla flew across the air and crashed into a large tree while the gorillas watched the dinosaur flee in pain and terror.

The males cheered for the day had been won, and it was now time to gather the female and infants. However, while some of the females took to the trees, the leader's mate, continued to run through the jungle.

Having heard all the commotion the rex and her mate were causing, the female ape knew to get her infant as far away as possible. Soon enough the chaos began to grow silent, and the gorilla soon found herself at a horrific sight.

Red blood stained the green foliage of their jungle. Unknown pieces of meat littered the ground while leaves dripped blood into the soil.

The gorilla looked all around her and saw the carnage these skull rexes had left behind. But before she further process this grotesque scenery, she heard another strange noise. It was a sound that was different from earlier. With her infant clinging onto her shoulders, the ape wondered past the carnage and followed the noise.

Her curiosity led her to a tree that had a large roots hiding something behind them. She looked inside and saw a baby girl, crying and waling her voice. The child had to be less than a year old, for she cradled herself in a fetal position. Her skin was white, while her hair was black, and her eyes were a shade of brown.

The baby's cries soon stopped when she saw the mother gorilla, before widening her eyes when a little ape popped over the mother's shoulder. The infant ape leaped onto the ground and soon made its way to the human child. Joy and curiosity could be seen in both of their eyes as the little gorilla watched the human baby nuzzle against him.

While the mother watched her son play with this strange creature, she heard a welcoming sound come from behind her. She turns around and sees her mate lead their tribe to this large tree. The female Ungana was relived to see that her mate was safe and that her tribe had not lost a single member during the attack.

Wanting to share her discovery, the female ape leads her mate over to their son, who is seen playing with the giggling baby. The leader is astonished to see the human child for it had been a creature he had never seen before. Soon enough, a thought occurred amongst them.

It was clear that this baby was the only one of its kind. With no other members of its family near, this child soon perish. If this little girl was to survive in this jungle, it would need a mother's care and a father's protection.

Without a moment's hesitation, the leader of the Ungana grunted as he gave a stern look to both his mate and his whole tribe. None of them objected as they watched this large gorilla grab his son and swing him onto his back. His mate, however, reached down and gently grabbed the baby girl.

Knowing that this child was now a member of their tribe, she needed a name. The female Ungana examined the child and saw that bared similar traits to an ape.

But seeing that she was smaller than the average baby gorilla, a name appeared in her thoughts. The mother ape gave a small gentle cooing sound as she looked down at her new daughter.

Tsuna. Little Ape.

And with that, that'll be the end of Chapter One. It should be noted that this going to a very short story compared to what I normally write. At the same time, while this is labeled as a "Tarzan" story, its a completely original story but inspired by Tarzan with a hint ofGenndy Tartakovsky's Primal.

One of the things my friend and I wanted to focus on was that this story is solely going to focus on one thing - SURVIVAL.

Instead of following the hero's journey, which I've done for most of my stories, this is going to follow this young girl's life amongst creatures in the most hellish jungle possible. Over the course of this story we're going to see Tsuna grow up in a harsh environment.

I'm really looking forward to releasing more chapters and if you liked what you saw feel comment, like, and follow this story!
